current fave part of my vampire smut is that hestia, the lineage vampire, decides to ALLOW a man to spike her drink just so that her friends who are turning can drink blood bc they’re turning into vamps (also so they dont go crazy and kill her wife who isnt a vampire) , and when she wakes up she goes 

"Now why the fuck would I do that." She said, holding her head.

Iza shook her head. "I literally do not know. You should've dropped the glass."

"Hmm..." Hestia said as Faye played with her hair. "Let's go kill them now."

Haru’s pov

I slowly opened my eyes, trying to adjust to the light. I realized I was laying on the couch. There was no need for Riyoshi to knock me out like that. I was weak from the lack of drinking blood. Riyoshi wouldn't have been able to knock me out otherwise. He’s lucky I didn't feed on him. Looking over, the first thing I saw was Hikari sitting behind the coffee table reading. She hasn't changed a bit. Ever since she was a kid she was always to herself. “Hikari.” I groaned, trying to sit up

“Haru?” she turned around in shock. I smiled weakly at her and she jumped into my arms. “You're okay!” she squealed.

“Yes but if you keep squishing me I won’t be.” I felt her smirk as she hugged me tighter.

“Hikari..” I groaned and she laughed looking up at me happily.

“Where’s your sister? I need to talk to her, well both of you actually.”

“I'll go get her.” she smiled quickly leaving the room.

“What’s your problem?” I asked Akio, who was staring at me looking pissed off.

“You're my problem.” he said blankly.

“I don’t see how I don’t even know you.” I stated.

“You don’t remember me kicking your ass last time?” Akio asked with a smirk on his face.

“If I had digested more blood you wouldn’t have.”

“Well I'm a half breed and barely need it so why should you? You're a weak full breed, it's ok to admit.”

“Say that again to my face.” I snapped.

“I already did. I bet you knew about their past didn’t you. You knew and you said nothing! All this time you knew they were vampires and didn't do anything.” Akio snapped back.

Neither of us realized that Hikari and Yua had walked into the room along with Yua’s new bodyguard.

“I wasn’t allowed to say anything because I was under direct orders! I was protecting them from monsters like you. Does Hikari know you were stalking her for months?”

“Why are you so obsessed with her all of sudden. Shouldn’t you be worried about your girlfriend?”

Before Haru could shoot back Yua walked up to me and slapped me across the face and it stung a lot. “Do you know how much we struggled with this! People are fucking trying to kill us and you're concerned about direct orders!”

“Yua you know I didn’t lie to you on purpose.”

“Is this why you left me without a word? You broke my heart, left me and then came back as if nothing happened but where the hell did you even go? Back to my parents?”

“No, I went to meet your brother. I reported to him when needed and he told me to keep my distance from you guys for a while so I did and I had to leave. But when I wasn't there he watched over you”

“We have a brother?” Yua and Hikari said at the same time.

“Were you really not gonna tell us anything?” Hikari's soft voice came up.

“That's why I told you and your sister to come here so I could tell you everything in a more calm manner until this fucker here had to ruin it by sticking his fukin nose were it doesn’t belong.” I pointed at Akio rage in my eyes.

“If you would have said something sooner, a lot could have been prevented. I'm pretty sure it wasn’t your mission to date one of the girls.” Akio snapped back.

I started towards him but Riyoshi blocked me by stepping in front of him. “You don’t wanna do that, let's save you the embarrassment now alright.” He tapped my shoulders before walking back next to Yua and putting his arm over her shoulder.

“ Really dude?”

“Get over it. You may not like it but she’s mine now.”

I looked yua deep in the eyes “Yua my feelings for you are real. I know I lied and I’m sorry but I swear my reasons were justified.”

Yua looked at me as tears ran down her face. “You out of all people. I trusted you the most. Would your reason have been justified if we were killed? What if you were too late huh? What would you have done?”

“Yua-“

“No this isn’t love. You broke my heart twice because of your lies. I can't take a third.” She shook her head, tears still visibly falling down her face. Riyoshi turned her into his chest and held her for comfort. Something I wish I could do right now.

“I understand your decision even if I wish you would have chosen differently.” I looked Riyoshi in the eyes.

“I hate you.” The seriousness in Yua’s tone burned through my soul but I had no choice but to accept it as I wasn’t the best boyfriend to her nor the best protector.

“Ok well as much as I like to see my sister in despair, can we please be civil and just hear what Haru has to say so we can know what the hell we're dealing with?” Hikari chimed in, obviously annoyed by the bickering.

“Okay it’s true I knew you were vampires when we first met but that wasn’t exactly our first time meeting. Your memories were erased so you didn’t recognize me even when I introduced myself. I was only supposed to watch over you along with your brother-”

“Yeah but you had other plans and wanted to date around right?” Riyoshi interrupted. I side eyed him before moving on.

“Your parents knew someone or something was coming after you. They wanted to give you a chance to live. Maybe even have a normal life. I was supposed to be there for you when you fully transformed and bring you back home since you’d be strong but things didn’t end up that way…mostly because of some people.” I said glaring at Riyoshi.

“What happened the day we left and why did we leave?” Hikari asked and hugged Hisako closer. She seemed sad and confused.

“Well someone who worked alongside your family was suspected to be working with someone else on the outside. They were going to take you away and use you as ransom but we didn’t know why.”

*flashback*

“Hikari, don't be so worried.” Saki reassured her, ruffling her hair.

“How can I not? I won’t even know who you are.” She cried out. Saki smiled, kneeling down to be at eye level with Hikari.

“Yes I know. But we’ll be back together one day. Okay?” Hikari engulfed her sister in a tight hug.

“We know we're only doing this because someone in our own kingdom betrayed us. And this will be a chance for you and your sister to have a normal life” Queen Rei said to her daughter. Hikari nodded and grabbed her mother's hand. Saki fixed the girl's face coverings.

“Let’s go.” King Sammuel said approaching us.

We walked through the dark forest to avoid being seen by anyone. It was early in the morning and freezing cold. I saw Hikari grip Yua’s hand harder like something was wrong. I whispered her name but she was too focused on something. We were almost at the clearing which was the halfway point. Hikari stopped all of a sudden standing at the edge of the clearing.

“What’s wrong? Do you sense something?” Queen Rei asked.

She nodded with closed eyes. “There’s people up ahead. Vampires. Not good ones”

“They found us. I can sense about 12 of them but there’s probably more” The King said angrily.

“Saki you and Haru protect the girls and get to our meeting spot. Michi stay with us and fight.” We took off running as blood curdling screams came from behind us. I looked back and there were already bodies on the ground with blood oozing out of the bite marks while some were in pieces. The royal family would spare no when it came to their family. Running through the mud we finally got to the meeting spot with the others not too far behind.

“We have to hurry. There’s more coming.” Michi the older brother said out of breath.

“I promise we’ll all be together one day. We all have to get stronger to protect each other and our kingdom.” King Sammuel said

“I know. I’ll take care of Hikari. I promise.” Yua smiled with tears forming in her eyes. The girls quickly said goodbye.

“You’ll fall asleep. A family will adopt you but Michi and Haru won’t be too far. Okay?” The girls nodded and hugged their mom one last time.

“I love you girls.” Queen Rei cried while waving her hands in front of them, erasing their memory.

“Wait so that’s it? Haru that doesn't explain why the VHA is after us. Why couldn't our parents protect us if they're so strong?”

“Yua, you have to discuss this with your family. I'm sure Riyoshi can tell you all about the VHA”

“When? Hmm? The VHA is looking for us so we can exactly go back to them now can we!”

“I'll take Hisako back home and your brother and I will take you. All of you.” I said looking at Riyoshi. The air was tense and the room was silent. After a few minutes of silence Akio said something.

“The VHA has plans to take control of the vampire population. The organization was going to use you and your powers to do so.“ Akio spoke up.

“Why?” Hikari quickly asked, turning towards him.

“No one knows for sure but it was all a part of Amelia’s master plan. No one really knows what’s going on in her head. I can tell you one thing for sure. She made sure that the VHA sees your family and everyone under them as the enemy.

*Later that night*

Yua’s Pov

How many times did I have to be hurt? How many times did I have to be lied to? I sat alone with my back against the bedroom wall. I didn’t know how to feel about Haru. Everything I knew was a lie. He says he has feelings for me so why don't I feel as if our relationship was a lie.

“When will you forgive me?” He asked

“When you feel the way I feel. When you spent just as many nights crying over me the way I cried for you.”

“Yua you know I love you-”

“Bullshit. Haru just go. Haven’t you done enough?”

“Yua…” he reached for my hand and I pushed him away.

“You can’t fix us. Not this time. I just wanna go home. Back to my family. Maybe one day I can forgive you but not right now.”

“You’re not the only one hurting, you know? How do you think I feel seeing you with Riyoshi? How do you think I feel knowing that you already moved on?”

”I haven't moved on.”

“Yeah? That’s not what it looks like.” He huffed leaving the room and shutting the door behind him causing a loud bang. Maybe I was being unfair but I was tired. Tired of the lies. Tired of not understanding anything in my damn life.

This is not a book review. This is a Thanksgiving post. Keep your expectations at peace. First and foremost, to the author @juliettecrossauthor for bringing this world into fiction, for choosing my least favorite bollywood actor (but don't admit it publicly for safety reasons) and actually making Devraj worth 346 pages. Secondly, @_bookish_affair_ for constantly reminding me what a good book this is and staying on DM while I was screeching and screaming overwhelmed. Thirdly to the Man of the book himself. Mr. Devraj Kumar, for reminding me even though I am slowly turning into a wolf-girl, I'll forever be on my knees for the vampires, my darling divine creature. My days are better necessarily because you live inside my head. Fourthly, after reading this book, I've learned the pronunciation of 'swoon induce seduction' it sounds like determined Devraj Kumar in stereotypical Indian accent. So, thank you for leaving me hotter than the summer in my hometown alone. I am so exasperated, that I am high on euphoria. Fifthly, it is more of a wish really, to find and enjoy a gardener character. Isadora delivered all the greenhouse greatness and then some more, with love and kind eyes, adorably. prologue :

Yeonjun wakes up to strong loud voice echoing from the bathroom. he lays in the bed for a few more seconds allowing the remaining fatigue drain out of his body. groaning in restlessness , he twists on the other side. beside him , the mattress is flat, a cotton blanket thrown aside shabbily. he enjoys the comfort of his own soft warm bed in the morning after sacrificing it the whole night for his girlfriend, Joohyun. his bed was too small to hold two people in the summer , if clamped into each other in close contact because of the small space. the heated mattress in addition would make him slide down the edge of the bed to sleep on the cold hard floor. he would revert back to his bed in the morning briefly before his girlfriend woke up.

the sound of her sweet voice amplifies melodiously upon hitting the bathroom tiles. he rests his head on the pillow. he flaps his lips together smiling automatically. the best part about her singing was that she practiced each lyric around five times each making it sound like she was on loop , on a perfect loop to please Yeonjun's ears. he never used an alarm ever since he began dating or perhaps occasionally when his schedules were late in the afternoon, but he was always woken up by Joohyun's clear voice.

for Joohyun , mornings were her ideal time to practice her vocals. despite having debuted two years ago , she never really claims to put a performance that satisfied her 100 percent , it was always in ranges between 88 to 99 due to being very meticulous about her outpour on the stage. her struggle during her rookie years were specific around being recognised for her effort and showcasing her true personality off camera , but Yeonjun supported her with both hurdles making her feel grateful for him as her partner. his relationship on the other hand was not on the smoothest path in question , they had fights , occasional ones to serious ones almost leading them to break up to intimate moments of understanding and care. at this point in her relationship , Joohyun does not think she was going to last as his girlfriend for one more year.

Yeonjun doesn't ponder much about his relationship as he thinks there is nothing wrong with it. ofcourse,he repulsed getting into misunderstandings with her but he believed it made his love stronger as he begun to think in her point of view , about what she feels or how often she struggles to express herself because it was not innate to her. she was at most , the quietest person in the room , or the most talkative if she opened up to someone. he finally raises up from the bed when her voice ceases into silence. he feels mistaken and his smile returns when he hears her voice again.

he heads towards the bathroom and finds her standing infront of the sink straightening her hair in parts. a large mint coloured roller holds her signature bangs above her forehead as she brushes through one part of her hair before aligning it between the steaming hot iron. her eyes glance at Yeonjun as he walks behind her without giving her attention. he wears a black vest and has distracting buff arms but it doesn't make her talk to him either , it was as though the morning passed without a word between the two but neither of them were mad at each other. It was just how the couple spent their summer mornings , in ultimate denial of their disproportionate affection for each other.

" Siri , switch music in queue " , she commands her phone as she runs her comb through her hair multiple times. she reaches out for a hot lip plumper from her purse on the counter. she procures a good amount on the tip before swiping the applicator on her lower lip and brings her upper lip together for a smooth finish. she flaps her lips together for a couple of times preparing herself to run through her Chinese pronunciation once thoroughly before leaving for her live performance in Hongkong.

the complication of flight and travel always made her nervous hence she needed to run through her vocals once to ensure her confidence throughout her journey. she counts the beats in her head as she begins singing with all focus on her pronunciation. being half Chinese herself , she often struggled with her pronunciation because she grew up most of her time in Korea. her fingers tingle in nervousness and her tongue slips as she loses her count. she repeats the verse again but this time her mind goes blank as she finds no memory of the lyric after. she tries recalling something imagining herself as though it was a real stage and she were performing right now , but she pauses in confusion unable to remember anything further.

"ugh, I'm gonna mess up!" ,she expresses in frustration crouching down in the horror. she covers her mouth on the verge of sailing down with her frustration as she quickly recovers raising up to practice again.

surprised by the silence again , Yeonjun peeks through the shower curtain with a brush hanging down his mouth. he notices the change in her expressions , her tensed shoulders as she grips on the edge of the sink counter. he swings his leg around to step down the bathtub and walks towards her with his arm reaching for her arm. she covers her arm tightly before he does , feeling frustrated. his palm rests on her arm as he stands next to her to calm her down.

his presence makes her feel conscious about herself and she slides his hand down her arm focusing on her breathing as she stares down at the sink beating the urge to lift her head to even look at him. his hands slide up her arms slowly up to her shoulders where he rests them and positions himself behind her. he begins softly massaging her shoulders to calm her nerves down , he pulls his toothbrush out and moves forward to spit in the sink.he walks back to resume massaging her shoulders , " It's okay " , he comforts her and a thin line of foam forms around his lips.

"You'll do well , don't think about it" , he softly glides his finger down to her spine to rest his hand on her hip securely," have a safe flight and come back as you are right now "

" do you want me to come with you to the airport? " , he asks her before leaning forward to spit in the sink again. she notices the traces of blood mixed in the foam he spits in the sink as she raises her gaze up the mirror.

"no , I'll be fine" , she assures reaching forward to grab her purse as his hand slides on her butt. he leaves affectionate past on her butt as she turns around to face him. she lifts up on her tiptoes to nuzzle her nose on his cheek lovingly. she drags and rests her forehead on his collarbone , " i love you " , she whispers. he brings his hand to pat the back of head , and uses his other hand to rinse his brush under the sink. he leans forward to rinse his mouth consciously looking at her through the mirror when he lifted his head up. after a final round of gargling and rinsing his mouth clean. he immediately swoops his head to press his wet lips on her cheek. the cool wet sensation makes her gasp in discomfort as she moves her head aside dodging his lips. he leans deeper to push his lips on her neckline, however damp the rest of his mouth was and it cools off on her skin.

"enough , i need to go now" , she reminds him softly patting her hand on his nape.

Yeonjun pulls apart to look at her. there was not a hint of embarrassment on his face , neither a smile of pleasure. he stares at her with the same exhaustion that lines her face when she looks at him the eye. upon gazing into his eyes, Joohyun could see his enlarged dark circles , or how sunken each side of his cheek was , his lips were chapped and wrinkled no matter how much lip balm he seemed to swipe before going to bed. he had lost the spark he had for her ever since he began dating , and perhaps his own expectations about his relationship had faltered.

Weekly Update!

Sorry for the late update! Kind of was a bit out of it, but anyways, here we go!

Unfortunately, we didn't quite meet our goal of 9K words, and I apologize for that. I even pulled an all-nighter, but it seems it just wasn't enough (that's what she said 😔 ). The most I managed was 8.2K words, which is pretty good, but not quite as great as I'd hoped. However, I promise you all that I'll double down and give it my all next week! :D

On top of that, my university is starting again, but no worries, folks! I have a schedule in place that will ensure I write twice as much as I do now!

So, here's the official word count update: 4K words were written in the short story, and 4K words in the main book, bringing the main book's total to 125,214 words and the short book to 14,023 words.

In other news, I've also commissioned character art for a cute 19-year-old character who you'll be training with in my upcoming femboy dating simulator book (available on Patreon). I'll be sharing all the character art once we hit 20K words or once the demo for the second book is created, haha!
