It is safe to say that real people dont impress book readers anymore as we all can agree on the fact that we are hopelessly in love with villains with tragic back story, having sharp physical features, sarcastic sense of humor and are willingly ready to sacrifice the word for us, why would we choose real people over these hot baddies.
Bonus:- They dont exist.
41. A night in Prague - Linda Naush
This was interesting. I wish it was longer. Theo was something else and Katie is so sweet. Their time together is amazing. I enjoyed this.

40 Storm- Brigid Kemmerer
Wow. I love that the action is all through the story. Becca is too caring. Quinn has no filter. Chris is that bad boy everyone wants. Hunter is the sweet boy. Nick, Gabriel and Michael are hysterical. I love the whole crew. I laughed out loud quite a few times. The smiles, fights, pain and happiness were all worth it. I'm excited for the next book.
I went to take a picture of him and he cuddled up with my kindle. Now I have to take it back to read it. I'm starting a new book tonight so I'm excited.
39. Not just my boss- Elsa Samara
This was so cute! I love the characters and how they all fit together. The love is so beautiful! I didn't want to put it down. I wish it was longer. It's a beautiful romance and I can't wait for more from Elsa.

Stephen Alter writes he often feels like an endemic species (the very first line of the Prologue 'Oakville,' his ancestral house). Many times in the book, and certainly towards the end, it truly dawns on the reader what he means by that. To me, he's a true native, nothing short of a hero. He satisfies our scientific inquisitiveness by writing about glaciers, stones, geology and wildlife. He also lets us in on the mystical aura of the Himalaya by sharing riveting tales, local folklore, myths and legends. And this is the greatest mountain range on Earth; 2500kms of nothing but terrifying and awe inspiring grandeur.
Here in this book, we meet Scholar of Stones, D.N. Wadia, a geologist who could discuss poems of Thomas Moore just as easily as he could discuss Himalayan Stratigraphy. We also meet the Divine Mad Man, Drukpa Kunley, who offered a prayer to a donkey, the most pitiful of beasts!
All this beauty described in the unrivalled mastery of English language, but of course, this is Stephen Alter we're talking about.
Perhaps it's because I am reading this book along with Anthony Gaston's book on the Great Himalayan National Park, that I can't help but feel the urgent need of preserving this paradise on Earth. I am lucky to be able to call Himalaya my home, and I feel I must protect its wildlife, its flora and fauna. Preservation is the need of the hour, and in capturing selfies and being awed by snow capped mountains, we must look at the foreground, too. Plastic waste at the edges of the curves of a road perched at 7,000 feet is heartbreaking. We must travel, but do so carefully, cautiously and responsibly.
This is a book that will be close to my heart. This is what it truly means to be a native to not just Himachal but Himalaya.
I have 17 books I need to read for May and June. I have finished 3 already so I'm hoping I can fly through a whole bunch more. I will have others mixed in because I listen to audiobooks when I clean and no one on my list has their books in audio form. I'm going to fix my planner then get to reading my next book!

“It was a pleasure to burn.
It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed. With the brass nozzle in his fists, with this great python spitting its venomous kerosene upon the world, the blood pounded in his head, and his hands were the hands of some amazing conductor playing all the symphonies of blazing and burning to bring down the tatters and charcoal ruins of history.”
Whilst the authorities of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 had some... questionable views about human rights and freedoms, they were doing at least one thing right - book burning! No, no, I’m not promoting literary censorship; I spent some of last night in the garden putting old notebooks in the fire pit. There was nothing in the notebooks worthy of keeping (I have enough abandoned WIPs and edgy pre-teen poetry already stashed away in other books), so I thought, why not fuel the fire with some old scribblings of mine? It felt somewhat cathartic to see the unfinished stories, as Bradbury put it, go up “in sparkling whirls and blow away on a wind turned dark with burning.”
