With your exams being right around the corner, you asked your boyfriend aka the smartest person you know to help you study. Truth be told, Shirabu was hesitant at first when you mentioned it. Knowing you, he was sure you'd find a way to slack off and he really didn't want to spend his evenings babysitting you instead of studying. But how could he say no to you.

And here you are, trying to keep your eyes open after 3 hours of studying in his room. You promised him that you'd finish at least one more lesson before taking a break, but your concentration was slowly giving up on you. You didn't even realize how your head was already laying on your hands on the table, until you heard Shirabu's calm voice talking to you.

"Are you tired already?", you open your eyes to meet his soft expression staring back to you. He seemed so ethereal. The way the rays of the sun setting light his face. The way his hair slowly moves by the light breeze coming from the open window. The way his delicate lips turn into a small grin while you study his face. You swore you've never seen anything more beautiful and peaceful than this. "So pretty" you whisper with all the strength you got left, before giving up to your body's need for sleep.

If only you had stayed up a little longer. You'd get to see the way his soft cheeks took a tint of pink and the way his eyes widened the moment he heard your comment. Hell, Shirabu swears you could even hear his heart beating faster than any game he ever played.

He quietly moved closer to you, carefully not to wake you up. After gently caressing your face, he leaned and placed a kiss on your temple. "Look who's talking".

It's been a while since the last time you got to spend time with Goshiki. His matches and regular practices didn't really help with your busy schedule, but today, you finally managed to actually spend some time with each other by holding a sleep over in your dorm. Your roomate was gone for the weekend so the timing couldn't be better.

His head rests on your chest, while your hands are gently playing with his black locks and your legs are tangled together. Goshiki didn't mind being babied every once in a while, especially tonight when he finally got to see you.

"I missed this.. I missed you so much" he finally broke the silence, looking up to you. You smile at him as you move some strands away from his eyes. You lean closer and peck his forehead, "I missed you too baby" you reply as you softly hold his face.

An hour passes and you barely moved from your spot. You didn't talk much, but the silence was so comforting; just laying there in each other's arms, cuddling away any stress you two had. The atmosphere around your boyfriend is for once peaceful, so he can't help his eyelids closing and slowly falling asleep.

Of course you take notice of his sudden lack of movement. His hands had long stopped caressing your back and its been a while since he last turned to you to ask for a kiss. You gently caress his face and kiss his cheek for what it seemed to be the 100th time today. Your lips instantly turn to a smile at his adorable sight in front of you.

"Goodnight", you whisper as you softly cuddle him closer and place another sweet his on his temple, "My pretty baby"

Taking a walk together with Kawanishi was part of your daily routines. It was really calming for him to just take a break from his loud teammates after practice was over. And you of cource loved spending time with your boyfriend, even if all you did was taking small walks.

"Should we sit for a little? Are you sure you aren't tired?", you ask as you turn to look at Kawanishi. "Well, i guess it's not a bad idea. My legs are killing me today"

You giggled at his response, "You should have told me earlier! I don't want you to pass out on me you know". He grins mischievously as he leans closer to you, "Oh no y/n, I think my legs can't take it anymore" he groans dramatically, as he presses his whole weight onto you.

"Taichi-", before you know it, you are siting on a bench, with your boyfriend laying his head on your lap. "Much better..", he lets out a sigh, before you playfully poke his forehead, "Don't scare me like that you idiot!"

Kawanishi lets out a small laugh. Oh how you love it when he laughs. His expressions are usually dull and he doesn't show much emotion, but whenever you're together, you never fail to cherish his soft smiles and laughs.

"I know I'm irresistible baby, but you're staring a bit too much" he comments as he looks up to you. "I'm sorry, i just can't help looking at my pretty boy" Caught off guard by your compliment, Kawanishi turns his eyes away from yours, feeling his face warming up, "Pretty boy? Haha, who me?" he tries to hide how flustered he is by laughing it off.

"Of course", you gently hold his face, turning him your way. Adorning your boyfriend's reaction to your loving words, you lean closer to his face, softly kissing his lips. You pull away as you caress his blushing face, "Who else could be my pretty boy?"

note: i feel like he's such an underrated character, need more fics of him.

studying with kenjirou is strict. he is very serious about his studies. if you ask him to tutor you, you better be ready. no jokes around here! but even though he's strict, he always gives you the breaks you deserve.

studying with kenjirou is comfortable! before you guys start, he ordered some bubble teas and macarons you both like (you never expected that the shirabu kenjirou loves sweets so much).

studying with kenjirou is tidy and organized. he will revise the chapters that you're struggling first. after that, he would go through all the chapters from start to finish with eating-breaks in the middle.

studying with kenjirou is endearing. he puts tiny sticky notes and reminders in your textbook and binder when you rest and distracted with your phone. sometimes he draws tiny emojis on the sticky notes, maybe he'll use your stupid highlighters too (he only do this on the parts you always forget!)

studying with kenjirou feels like a constant alarm. he reminds you the tiniest details you forget. even before exams start, right infront of your classroom door, he asks you questions to test you (he only does this to you by the way, maybe he likes you..)

studying with kenjirou is overall full of helpful sessions, he helps you with everything (even when you're being unmotivated by the hard subject). he motivates by promising you to buy the stickers you love to put on your notebook or he promises you to eat dinner with you someday. he makes sure that you memorized every bit of thing he thought you.

one day, you got that 100 inked in red. he took you to the dinner he promised you. let's just say you tasted something new (his lips) that night.

"Did you cut your hair?"

Those are the first words out of Shirabu's mouth when you walk into the cafe for your weekly catch-up. He's already sitting at your regular table with a steaming cup of tea in front of him. As you sit down he tells you that he would've ordered for you but he didn't want the ice in your drink to melt. You giggle at him for a second before walking up to the counter and placing your order. As you go to pay though, you're interrupted by a familiar voice telling the barista to put it on their card. As you turn around to argue with Shirabu the look on his face makes you pause, he looks, upset?

You wonder what that look is about as you let him pay for your order and as the two of you sit back down at your table you ask him about it.

"Why were you so intent on paying for my order? I could have paid for it myself," you say as you watch his face intently. His ears are immediately tinged pink as the blush continues to rise up his face and he stutters for a minute.

"I- I just like doing things for you that's all," he replies quietly. You go to continue your questioning, but pause as Shirabu slides his hand across the table to intertwine with yours. Now it's your turn to flush. Heat rises to your cheeks as you look anywhere but at him. Thankfully, you're saved by the barista calling your name announcing your order. As you get up you think about what just happened and then at the counter as you pick up your cup you see what's written on it.

'Will you be mine <3'

You pause as you feel a presence sidling up behind you wrapping their arms around your middle. Still flushed, you turn around to face Shirabu with a questioning look in your eyes. He just replies with a smug look on his face before grabbing your stuff and leading you out of the cafe. You can't even register where he's taking you as you sip on your drink while he holds your other hand.

You're shaken from your dazed state by the realization that Shirabu has stopped in front of you. Taking in your surroundings you come to the realization that he's brought you to his apartment. Continuing to lead you inside dropping your stuff on the table and pulling you close to him on the couch he finally speaks.

"So, whaddya say? Your silence is making me nervous," he says softly but gruffly. All you can do in that moment is snuggle up closer to him and place a kiss on his nose before falling asleep on his shoulder. He looks down at you in amazement before placing a kiss on the top of your head and carrying you to his bedroom ecstatic at the prospect of you being the first thing he sees when he wakes up.

If you don't mind can i request an angst to fluff scenario with shirabu where his newborn baby is very sick and still hasn't able to leave the nicu as a doctor shirabu feels utterly useless and couldn't even bear to look at his baby but seeing his wife visiting their baby everyday and hearing her assurance that it's not his fault and that their baby will be ok he finally decide to visit with his wife as much as possible and apologize to his baby for not being there then gradually their baby show enough signs of improvements to go home and the parents just cry tears of joy 😭

I know this isn't what i usually request and it's a pretty heavy scenario but i just couldn't get it out of my head and shirabu is like perfect for it 😔 you don't have to write it if you don't want to or if it makes you uncomfortable of course!

Bestie I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure if I wanted to write this because I don’t have much experience with the nicu and premie babies and I don’t want to be insensitive because that’s a very touchy subject for lots of people, but I’m hoping this doesn’t come out insensitive (if anyone finds this insensitive pls let me know so I can fix it!!)

Tw: premature birth, nicu stays, premature baby, angst to fluff, guilt, crying, possibly a breach in hippa guide lines(the doctors talk about declining healths of patients), baby comes home for the first time, cursing

He could feel the guilt eating at him everyday. Everyday he’d come home from the hospital to you crying because your precious little girl had been born premature, this meant she would have to stay in the nicu for a while before she could come home to ensure she’d be healthy.

He couldn’t help his own daughter because he’d be a conflict of interest and it only made him feel worse, how was he supposed to trust his colleges with her? He’s heard how they gather around the coffee machine whispering under their breaths about how certain patients were declining in health. Could he ever recover if the subject of their gossip were to become his daughter?

Seeing you come from the nicu everyday a sad smile on your face knowing you’d have to wait until tomorrow to see her again. He couldn’t even bring himself to see her after she was born and he felt like shit because of it, he’d seen her from across the room after you went into labor but that was really it.

Slowly say by day, your crying died down which Shirabu was thankful for, assuming it meant she was doing better. Any free time you’d had was spent telling him about all the little things she’d done during your visit and how they were preparing for her to go home soon!

“Shirabu?” He hears you call tiredly as he sits in the living room quickly wiping at his face, “what’s wrong?” You ask seeing him wipe at his face.

“I just feel like it’s my fault” he breaks down at the question, you quickly move over wrapping your arms around him as he cries into your shoulder.

“Listen, Kenjiro I felt like that at first too, but I talked with the nurse and she said it’s normal to feel that way when this happens but it’s important to know that there wasn’t a thing either of us could have done to prevent it.” He looks up at you with watery eyes as he nods.

“Besides, she’s ok now, they told me she’s going to come home soon as well.”

And you were right, after a few more days, the two of you were leaving the hospital with your little girl, Shirabu didn’t really know how to react, when he’d seen the nurse holding her he wanted to sob, she looked so much different from when he’d seen her in the delivery room, she looked healthier. Maybe that’s what he was scared of seeing her and she’d been worse than before.

After getting through all the paperwork and getting home he was hurrying to set her car seat down asking you if he could hold her.

“She’s your baby to you know” you tell him looking up as you unbuckle her lifting her gently before handing her over.

“Yea…of course I knew that” he replies but it doesn’t have his usual bitter bite to it, it’s softer almost a whisper full of emotions.

If anyone has more experience with the nicu and knows that something is particular wrong(I tried not to be too detailed to avoid this!) pls let me know so I can fix it!!

He sits there with you on your hospital bed; he listens to you; as you talk about the things you want to do when you'd recover. His hand lays gently onto your hair. Every stroke is full of care, taking strands of it, and he'd start to braid.

"Kenji-- Shirabu-san"

"Kenjirou is fine. "

"But like, you're a doctor-"

"I'm your boyfriend."

A smile is displayed on your face.

"Kenjirou, You'd take me to the "Attack on Titan Park" in Kyushu's Ōita Prefecture right?" you said with sparkling eyes.

"Mhm, of course, I would"

"But... wouldn't you have work?"

"I'll take a day off and leave my work then."

You couldn’t help the feeling of deja vu that swept over you. That very same flower field you stood on, with the same cherry blossoms dancing in the wind, the very same sun splattering droplets of golden light onto his beautiful face. Closed off and remote; he wore the same expression as that fateful day. Yet, you sensed he was here for a different purpose.

“I couldn’t help thinking about you.” Shirabu spoke softly, tucking a strand of pale hair behind his ear. “Whenever I try to forget you, on her face I only see yours. How can I be in love with her if I crave you instead? Is there no other explanation than that I simply fell for you again? Tell me, (Y/N).”

You felt it too. Even after he left. The passionate, burning ache for him still ran in your veins; you desired the feelings of lightness and stardust when he touched you. Still now it was intense, flaming and flickering in you with fiery heat. The expression of longing on his face; told you he felt it too.

“I know I haven’t been good to you.”

Shirabu took a hesitant step forward, closer, and when you didn’t flinch or demur he continued taking soft, slow steps towards your quivering frame. You looked down, a field of roses creeping beneath your flaming cheeks. His face was stoic, but pink stained his pale skin. Awkwardly, he embraced you, and while you stiffened you couldn’t help but bask in the warm comfort he provided again.

“But would you be willing to give me another chance?”

Shirabu kissed you, and this time deja vu fully took over and you bathed in the nostalgic feeling of his lips on yours. He tasted the same as always. The same day he confessed, the same day he broke up, and yet today. The sweet, sugary scent of Summer and honey that flooded your tastebuds when his lips touched yours. You returned the kiss, and that was when the language of your sparks transmitted to him. He knew.

You too had been hoping for another chance.

YOU TRIP ON STAGE DURING YOUR GRADUATION

This was it. This was the moment you had been waiting for for as long as you could even begin to remember. All those gruesome hours counting down the seconds until you could dash off to your home were finally over. No more brain exploding math classes or dull history classes that made you want to pass out because of the teachers monotonous tone.

"(Y/N) (L/N)"

Your name was announced and with a proud giddy smile, you walked up the steps and onto the stage. Everything was going spectacularly well. You grabbed your diploma and shook the Principals hand. You began to walk down the steps and when you looked forward, you made eye contact with your friend. Wrong move because the second your eyes shifted from the floor to your friend, you tripped.

Bursts out laughing. Like he´s deadass the type of person who laughs first then worries about you. Has literally no mercy on you. Can and *will* use this to his advantage, will not let you live this moment down for as long as he´s alive. Probably chuckles every once in a while when he thinks back on it and TRUST he thinks about it a lot.

TSUKISHIMA, Kuroo, MATSUKAWA, Hanamaki, SUNA, Atsumu, Shirabu, Tendo, Sugawara

Lets out a chuckle or two at first when everyone laughs but when you sit back down beside him, he asks if you´re okay, geniuenly concerned that you didn´t hurt yourself. When you confirm it was nothing but merely embarrassing, he grins in amusement. Might tease you a little bit BUT, he´s merciful unlike some people, and he quickly stops to save you the embarrassement.

Worries THEN laughs. He´s gotta make sure you´re okay and you didn´t hurt yourself. Once you give him the okay he´ll chuckle, replaying the moment in his head and finding it quite funny actually. He quickly lets it go though, which saves you the embarrasement!
