the word "Ishq" is made up of three letters, "Ain, sheen and qaaf" these three letters stand for three stages of love. Ain:- Ain is for "ibadat" which means worship. When love gets purity, it takes you to the place where love equals worship. Sheen:- Sheen is for "shaq" which means doubt. The lover starts doubting his love. Qaaf:- Qaaf is for "Qurbaan" which means sacrifice.

When Mohsin Naqvi said:
"Mere hathon ki lakeeron main ye aaib hai Mohsin, Main jis shakhs ko chho loon wo mera nahi rehta."
And When Jagjit Singh sang:
"Jag ne chheena mujhse, Mujhe jo bhi laga pyaara"
And when we realized "nothing lasts forever" our heart grieved for those whom we lost :')

The poetry that inspired Jeff Buckley
Aimee Ferrier
Sun 1 October 2023 21:15, UK
Voices as incredible as the one belonging to Jeff Buckley don’t come around too often. Unfortunately, after releasing one record, Grace, Buckley, with all his potential, was taken away too soon. At the age of 30, the singer went for a swim from which he never returned, drowning in the Mississippi River.
Yet, his legacy lives on as one of the most influential artists to emerge from the 1990s, and his music is widely celebrated today for its emotional and lyrical complexity. Not only did Buckley possess an otherworldly voice, but he was also an extremely gifted guitar player and writer, with all his talents combining to create a masterful body of work.
Even when Buckley was covering other artists’ songs, such as ‘Lilac Wine’, ‘The Other Woman’ and ‘Hallelujah’, he imbued the pieces with his own distinctive style. Yet, his penchant for covers wasn’t a reflection of an aversion to writing. Buckley knew how to pen a stunningly poetic track, with songs like ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’ and ‘Morning Theft’ suggesting that even if Buckley didn’t have the vocal pipes he was gifted with, he’d get by just fine as a writer.
Buckley took inspiration from many different writers and musicians when writing his own songs. Musically, Buckley looked back to folk artists like Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and, of course, his own father, Tim Buckley, from whom he was estranged. Elsewhere, he loved the work of Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the rich tones of Nina Simone, and Led Zeppelin, calling Robert Plant “my man”.
However, when it came to his literary inspirations, Buckley had an extensive book collection, which he no doubt looked to for ideas when writing his lyrics. He owned a lot of poetry, with Rainer Maria Rilke proving to be a particular favourite. Not only did Buckley own Dunio Elegies, Rilke on Love and Other Difficulties: Translations and Considerations Poems from the Book of Hours, but he also owned his epistolary collection Letters to a Young Poet.
Buckley was also a fan of the classic American poet Walt Whitman, owning Leaves of Grass and From the Soil. Of course, no poetry collection is complete without copies of Arthur Rimbaud’s A Season in Hell and Illuminations, alongside some Charles Baudelaire – Buckley-owned Paris Spleen. The singer also owned the Selected Poems of confessional poet Anne Sexton and modernist writer T.S Eliot.
Check out Buckley’s complete poetry collection below.

Pathaan Review
WARNING: contains spoilers and impure thoughts lol
When the opening scene showed Lahore, Pakistan, my sister and I burst out laughing because OF COURSE. Bollywood making Pakistani Muslims the bad guys?GROUNDBREAKING! 🙄
I was a bit nervous because I thought the film would be super nationalistic and anti-Pakistan because I did NOT spend $30 to watch desh bakht shit. But I’m glad it wasn’t like that because so many films in this genre are. Like, stop fucking preaching and being annoying.
SRK was absolutely fucking delicious. Each look was better than the last. There’s just something about a dirty, scrungly looking man and he made me weak af. Watching Besharam Rang on the big screen and seeing him shirtless? Especially when he ran to Deepika’s room looking like THAT? Whew! I was literally feeling like a dog in heat lmaoooo
His hairstyle was giving off Eren Jaeger vibes 1000% and that’s all I could think about.
Pathaan’s backstory about Afghanistan was really sweet and wholesome. I love how they all helped him in the end, because I kind of had a feeling that’s what was going on.
John Abraham as Jim, oh my godddd. He was so sexy and played a great villain. I’m so glad he’s lean again because that super muscular, beefcake look he had going on for a few years was not attractive. I felt really sorry for Jim and what happened to him. It was understandable why he became a villain. I thought it was an interesting detail that he basically had no loyalty to any country and was doing it for a personal reason instead.
When John does that cute winking and smiling thing...my weakness
Deepika. Lord. That woman is a goddess. She was absolutely badass. I like that she played a Pakistani character and how just because someone from her country is bad, doesn’t mean everyone else is and she doesn’t consider his actions as something Pakistan as a whole is doing/agrees with. Basically that guy alone is an extremist and she would never condone his actions because she actually loves her country just like Pathaan loves his. The way the Besharam Rang lyrics literally described her character and motives, I was shook.
When she was like “Trust me, Pathaan” with those puppy dog eyes? I was like “BABY I TAKE U BACK!”
I think SRK & Deepika had amazing chemistry and the sexual tension! Especially when he was changing her bandages. Sorry girl, but I would have let Pathaan hit it.
I know this website hates a certain Khan but I really enjoyed his special appearance and the banter between Tiger & Pathaan. The Karan Arjun reference!!! Too bad it was spoiled for me by Reddit, ugh.
Dimple Kapadia was so stunning! I want to age like her. I cried when her character died.
SRK singing “Tu Hai Meri Karen” and the “I love you, K-K-Karen” dialogue had me and my sister crying 😂
LOL OF COURSE PATHAAN SAVED THE DAY AT THE VERY LAST SECOND
I was nervous that Ashutosh Rana’s character was going to talk shit about Pakistan and say how we all suck at the end, but thankfully that didn’t happen.
The pre-credits scene of Pathaan & Tiger was absolutely fucking gold. It’s like, they were talking about their job as agents but also irl how they rule Bollywood and none of these hoes can reach their level. So meta.
Love how Pathaan said he was going to see his hairdresser to get shampoo but then stayed looking hobo af in the very next scene (the Jhoome Jo Pathaan song)
Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and it was great seeing my man back on the big screen after 6 years 🥰
I’m gonna gif the fuck out of it once the torrent drops~~~

the iconic intro to selena gomez's 'come and get it' originally comes from masuma answer's 'peera ho.' it is sufi style song of pakistani origin, in which the main lyrics repeatedly sung are "main hoon akela" - translating to "i am alone." though, due to the sufi and mystical element to the song, it less likely to be about feeling isolated, but more feeling empowered in the qualities of oneself. as though god, or the gods, judge each person individually - they are with none other. the steady beat in the background is the sound of the tabla, a style of drums played with the hands - in this canon, they are known to be played by rashid of house jordane, ruling lord of the tor.

🎶✨when you get this you have to put 5 songs you actually listen to, publish, then send this ask/tag 10 of your favourite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool) 🎶✨
(literally all of these are desi music and a good chunk of them are very angsty :))) enjoy)
1. Tere Bin OST
Literally obsessed with Pakistani enemies to lovers right now? And Wahaj Ali as Murtasim is stealing my soul xD This song is so damn angsty, full of betrayal and all the likes.
2. Ranjha (Sid x Kiara Version)
These two got married and their wedding videographer released the cut with the happy version of Ranjha, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since lol
3. Accha Sila Diya
I am always going to listen to a song that has revenge as a theme, but in particular, “yaar ne hi loot liya ghar yaar ka” has me absolutely dead right now.
4. Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha OST (Kahani Suno)
I’m also obsessed with any voice that sings like they’re in the greatest agony, and “ruswaayi tere pyaar mein kamayi” is literally my best friend, the way he sings it
5. Qaraar
This is on my sleep playlist, and I’ve been listening to it on repeat just to sleep lately lmao. It’s slow and the lyrics are just so gorgeous
