He's kind and an obsessive perfectionist who fills his entire wall with the weirdest motivational posters. Shirogane is very devoted to his love. He likes penguins (Kaguya and him is peak asd4asd and bi4bi btw)."

Kirito -

"He's autistic and bisexual as hell, and there's a good bit of trans coding in him 🥺

Autism coding: Bro's literally got a sword and swordfighting hyperfixation where, despite playing a game that focuses around guns, he still chooses to use a sword!! We also see him completely missing Asuna's flirting at first (he tells her she could have just checked her friendlist to make sure he was alive, in response to her tracking him down to see him)

Bi coding: Dual wielding swords is literally a euphemism in Japan for bisexuality; and Kirito initially tries to hide the fact he can dual wield out of fear of how the people he's close to will view him (and once he reveals it to them and they accept it, he begins to be more open about it.) Also in the Underworld arc he becomes very close with Eugeo to the point of living with him (and sharing a bed on occasion), and there are several parallels between Eugeo and Asuna, and they're so gay for each other that despite the anime having only a toned down version of it, they're still very affectionate (Also of note is that Eugeo is the only guy in SAO canon to consistently have a 'laying in bed with Kirito' talk CG in the spinoff games) (There's more but it's spoilers and this is a shortened version)

Trans coding: Kirito is very trans coded in the light novel (which shows Kirito's thoughts in much greater detail than the anime) Aincrad arc reveals that Kirito explicitly Does Not Like his real face, and dislikes how feminine it looks (he mentions that its led to him and his cousin being mistaken for sisters) And in Phantom Bullet arc, he's visibly uncomfortable at being mistaken for a girl due to his avatar's appearance, and in response to being misgendered he briefly panics and checks to make sure his chest flat (at least in the anime adaptation) 🏳️‍⚧️"

Shirou -

"Has one goal in life and ignores almost everything in favor of trying to fulfil that goal."

Keith -

"Speaks in a way that is seen as weird and has mannerisms others think is funny. He struggles with not being taken seriously by others because of this and many of the things others say goes over his head. He struggles to connect with other people because of these things. His entire arc in the second film is about him deciding that the people who don't accept him for who he is aren't worth it and that he's going to continue being himself."

Junpei -

"for other fans of this series, I know the more obvious representation here may be Luou, Junpei is So Good. his special interest is ballet and he has so many hangups involving how his family sees him and how other boys his age interpret him to the point that his idea of masculinity is extremely narrow and he enforces social rules on himself to mask and keep people from realizing that he loves something that Isn't Manly. he misinterprets social cues and takes things literally, like assuming that when Miyako asked him to dance with her she meant Right This Minute rather than as a pair in the studio. for some reason the point where he cuts his hair super short to prove his devotion to ballet is also sticking with me, I think maybe it's the combination of the way it's normal for boys/men in Japan to do that, yet Junpei didn't realize that kind of attitude/action didn't suit ballet at all? he wasn't aware that the context was completely different. Junpei also doesn't act or pretend very well, he's gotta put his whole entire ass into his roles, which he then proceeds to get TOO into and cause a lot of trouble, without giving too much away! he's really relatable to me as someone who's socially anxious but very skilled at masking, and seeing him become more comfortable with himself and start to show how he really feels is so inspiring to me."

Kazuma -

Toshi Mashibasa

Toshi is the kind of person to be best friends with his partner, and he doesn't show it much but he is really caring, also he is perceptual and smart so even when he doesn't pry on your personal life if you don't talk about it he can tell when you aren't feeling well

Still he doesn't pry until he sees you really bothered for something or it had passed a long time, his first approach is to ask you if you are alright or if you have a problem, as well as remembering you that you can count in him for everything

For him to discover that you are being bullied could be because you open up to him or because he see it himself, in both cases he will be furious (he tries to seem calm and collected if you tell him but if he sees it he imediatly step in to defend you), it doesn't matter the intensity of their abuse it still make him angry, but he will never dare to let it out on you or blame you for it, and in this case he will pry for more information but still trying to be gentle

Depending on how deep the bullying you are suffering is it would be how furious and eager to do something he will be, and even if they just make bad comments he won't tolerate it, and not matter how mad he is he will try to calm down enough to comfort you (even if you insist that it doesn't affect you he insist on take some time to spoil you)

Toshi used to be bullied but he get over it some time ago, still that doesn't mean he isn't worried about you, he decide to just stay by your side to protect in case you need it, he will even be a little more clingy to let clear to everyone that you aren't alone. As well he will try to talk to the teacher about this problem (and you won't be able to stop him, although if you are nervous of doing it he will help you feel safe before doing it, comforting you and promising to not leave your side), but even if they actually do something to help you that won't stop him to help you on his own

Toshi will confront your bullies only if he has the opportunity (like they show up and try to mess with both), he is really smart and will know how to handle it without having a physical confront, still if it end like that he will do it only as the last resort and making sure they were the ones starting the fight

However he doesn't really want to confront your bullies since he just want to focus on you, he wants to shield you and comfort you, making sure to help you recover from whatever those bastards did to you, either emotional or physical

Kaguya Shinomiya

Kaguya's prideful side stop her from show how much she really loves and cares for you, as well for how much attention she puts on you (something that she is actually proud of) so even is if you try to hide something from her is probably that she will find out at some point

Kaguya herself won't really ask you directly about your problems (or at least not imediatly), but that doesn't mean she doesn't care, whenever you seem troubled or struguling with something she is eager to find out what is troubleling that pretty mind of yours, so she does it discreetly, slowly leading the conversation to whatever that could give her hints of what is happening to you

It won't take her long for her to find out that you are being bullied, specially with Sayaka's help, still she probably find out by her own and once she does she is furious, she is surrounded by a dark aura while asking for more details, even if people are just saying bad comments about you to her is like a sin, Kaguya take it as a personal offence and she will treat it as such

Kaguya is making her plan to take revenge and make them pay for whatever they had done, and how cruel she will act towards them depend on how deep the bullying was. As well, Kaguya will try to find out a way to tell you that she knows about this situation (she is surprisingly nervous about bring out the topic), but once she finally does it she focus on making sure you know that you had done nothing wrong and it isn't your fault, as well as comforting you, if physical affection is your comfort she will do it (while trying to not conbust from the inside), but she prefers to spoil you to try to comfort you

Kaguya will totally take care of the bullies on her own, so don't be surprise if they stop messing with you overnight, or even if they seem afraid and/or apologetic with you (again, it depend in how bad they treated you)

Also, from then Kaguya grows a little more clingy for a while, wanting to be able to shield you in case some other idiot try to mess with you, and if you actually grow clingy yourself and even hide behind her it make her really proud of herself (and really flustered too)

Hero

Hero has been always really caring, is like a second nature for him (specially because he is constantly taking care of his friends), and even when he isn't the most perceptual or observant person he always tries to look after your well-being

Hero doesn't like to pry because he feels like he is invading your privacy but he always remind you that you can rely on him when you have troubles, although if he sees you really down or affected by whatever is bothering you he insist on wanting to know, making clear that he is just really worried about you

For how caring he is is easy to bring you a sense of security that could lead you to open up about you being bullied, although it could be that he see it himself too, in that case he immediatly step in to defend you. No matter how he find out at the end he is really worried about you, he is mad at whoever are abusing using you like this but his worry is bigger

Hero immediatly comforts you, holding you close while he ask you what they exactly have done to you, although if you don't want to talk about it, either because you don't feel comfortable or you are nervous is alright, he will wait until you feel ready, in the meantime he will be focus on comforting you

Hero knows that this kind of problem doesn't get solved overnight so he will hold an immense patience with you, helping you get out of it little by little, if you let him he will become more clingy, not really wanting to leave your side to be able to protect you from the bullies and don't let you forget that you aren't alone. Also, he wants to ask for help to the teacher, and he even ask Mari some advice (that could make the rest of the group find out too and they aren't going to stay quiet)

The intensity of the bullying you suffered is just important to him for how much it affected you, he is bothered by it even if they were just saying bad comments about you (but the more aggresive they were to you the more angry Hero gets, even reaching the point where he will think on confronting them)

This just make Hero more caring towards you, specially in the emotionally part, he wants to make sure you don't get yourself carry away for what they had told you and done to you

Kyoka Ootori

Is really difficult to get into Kyoka's life since he isn't really interested in relate in a personal way with anyone, however once he decided to start a relasionship with you is because he is really sure that is what he wants

Kyoka is observant and perceptual, even if you try to hide it he knows when something is bothering you, although if you decide to don't talk about it he will just make it clear that he knows that you aren't al right, but also makes clear that even when he isn't going to force you to talk if he is able to help you he will

Even when it doesn't seem like it he is pretty caring over you, you are special to him and even when he has problems to say it out loud he show it in other ways, like paying attention on you making sure you are taking care of yourself, that is why, soon or later, if you don't tell him he will find out about the bullying (the worst it is the bullying or the more it affects you the faster he will find out)

Since the start he suspect that something is bothering you but he didn't wanted to jump into the conclution of the bullying right away, but at the end his fear become true because you were actually being bullied, and once he finally found out exactly how deep the bullying is he is furious, even if others are just talking bad about you it still makes him mad

Kyoka normally doesn't pry in your personal life but for this he has the intention to pry every single detail, and he will use his intimidating stare if he has to, but he isn't mad at you is just that he is frustrated that something so serious is happening to you and he didn't notice it earlier (but he will scold you later for dont telling him)

He isn't the best to comfort but he will try (specially if you start crying), but he is more focused on making a plan to take revenge of those bastards who made you suffer like this, Kyoka is smart enough to come up with a plan to make them pay without getting involved into, and he will be just as harch as they had went to you, he won't directly confront them but they will be too busy trying to solve whatever Kyoka cause them to keep bothering you

Again, he isn't the best when it comes to comfort you but he will be more direct with his care for you, making more clear how much he worries for you, even making sure you are taking care of yourself, as well he makes sure to remember you how amazing you are (his attempt to give you compliments)

Natsuki

Natsuki has problems to read other people, specially because her anxiety and past bad experiences she could easily misunderstand a little the situation, and even when loves you that doesn't make easier things for her

She want to be able to help you when you need it but she still has a lot of problems to express herself so she does it in other ways, trying to get more close and a little affectionate when she sees you down or baking you some cupcakes to cheer you up

It would be really difficult to reach the point where you open up to her and tell her about the bullying because she gets nervous whenever you two talk in a more serious manner and abuse is a sensitive topic for her, so is more probably that she end up seeing it herself and the moment she does it she react immediatly and aggresibly, going against the bullies and calling them idiots for what they are doing (still she doesn't want to get into a physical fight)

Is probably that she will seem mad at you when she ask you about it, but she isn't, is just that it frustrated her that you are suffering from this kind of abuse, and even more that she didn't noticed it earlier (even more because she is a victim from abuse too), she will apologize later and make it clear that she isn't mad at you but at herself

She will overcome her nervous and frustration and ask you about what those idiots had been doing to you, it doesn't matter if they had been just saying bad things about you or they actually physically attack you she is mad at them, Natsuki won't really ask for help to anyone else (maybe to the rest of the club only if is something too deep)

Natsuki isn't the best to comfort you but she still tries to, but she is more focused on shield you from the bullies, she already has a bad reputation since she tend to be pretty aggresive with words so it isn't nothing new for her, she react really aggresive to whoever even speak bad about you but still tries to avoid getting physical

Natsuki still has problems dealing with her own traumas with the abuse she suffer from her house so after this she probably end up insolating with you a little more as well as getting more clingy, and since now you somehow can understand her better she will open up more about her own experience, being a healing process for both

Monika

Monika is really caring and she is pretty observant too so for her isn't too difficult to tell when you aren't feeling too well, and she wants to be of help whenever you have troubles but she still has problems to bring up the topic, fearing that she may be invasive or rude

Whenever you seem troubled with something Monika tries to motivate you to talk to her, remembering you that you can count with her and that she will always help you at the best of her habilities

For Monika to discover that you are bullied is because she sees it herself (in this case she will imediatly stand up for you, she doesn't want to confront them directly but she at least will help you get away from them) or because you open up to her (since she is pretty caring and willing to heard you vent it could give you a sense of security about saying her directly)

Monika feel horrible that you had to suffer from all that, she has to hold herself back before she start crying out of sadness and frustration, even is they are just saying bad comments about you it doesn't matter because you shouldn't be suffering for that, and she doesn't want to cry right now because she needs to focus on you, in how to help you and to comfort you

Her plan is to notify the teachers or someone who could help as well as not leaving your side in hopes of not giving the bullies the opportunity to attack you again, although if the bullying is really bad or it affected you a lot, or even if no one is willing to help Monika herself will step in, she won't fight them physicaly but she can be really intimidating when she wants to, also she know how to identify and take advantage of others weakness if she has to

Aside from that Monika is really worried about you so she will be taking care of you for a while, both physicaly and emotionaly, she just want to make sure you don't let yourself down just because others can't see how amazing you are, and she is eager to be of help

Also Monika feels really bad that she didn't notice it before, and the more time you suffered this the more frustrated she feels so, somehow, she is trying to make it up for you too

"Being a Newtype is just space autism to me. But also he sucks at falling in line in a structured environment, would rather work with machines than talk to people, and is only allowed as a child soldier because he's the bestest at big robots."

Kyouya -

"what's there to say? you know him. you love him. vote kyoya."

Euini -

"I relate a lot to his social anxiety, especially his performance anxiety that occurs when he's being watched by people, particularly due to his stress at needing to follow the plan/do things the "proper" way in order to not feel like he's a failure. he also stands like a lil autistic kid and i appreciate him so much for that.

(LIGHT SPOILERS) basically, he has a test that he needs to take in order to advance as a witch, and he keeps failing it because he cant perform properly while being watched by other people, even though he knows the "right" spells to use and why he's supposed to use them. on his third attempt of the test, he's prepared a "script" to use so that he can follow it and not worry about failing in the moment (in this case, his script is a hand-written book of the proper spells to use and the order in which he's supposed to use them), but when a part of the exam changes, he's no longer able to follow his script. because he's been taught all his life that there's only one proper way of doing things, his way of thinking is very rigid and he's not able to deviate from his plan without panicking. luckily, one of his fellow examinees (richeh from the autistic anime girls poll 💕) is able to convince him to try and change the way that he does things to something that is more attuned to his personal needs- basically change the way that he casts his spells and which spells to use so that he doesn't need to struggle with doing things in the way that everyone says that he should; the way that he cant seem to manage. but, even before richeh helped him with that though, he was still finding way to modify the "proper" spells a little bit to better suit his weaknesses. he was trying so hard to fit in to the mold that witch society gave him, but it just wasnt right for him and he was making it work however he could."

Aoi -

Plus he’s a little TOO normal, to the point where it circles back around to making him the odd one out, which is absolutely what masking feels like for me. Even when he tries to be fun and weird he gets strange looks/made fun of for not being weird in the right way. The list of autism symptoms is just a checklist for him at this point."

Chapter 1 Masterlist

Pairing: Kyouya Ootori x Reader Author: see-the-fandom-imagines Warnings: None at all. Word Count: 3224 A/N: Next chapter! As explained before I didn’t 100% follow the anime, I also got inspiration from the live action and/or just made up a few things. Hope you still like it~ Let me know if you want to be tagged in the upcoming parts!

The next day you entered the club and the first thing you noticed was that Renge was already there. You groaned and rolled your eyes, you really didn’t feel like putting up with her. Immediately, you started to feel a little bad. She hadn’t done anything to you and yet here you were thinking so negatively about her. Maybe you should give her another chance. “Hey”, you greeted Haruhi and she greeted back. “What did I miss?” “Not much”, she said, “I also just got in, but I feel like they’re up to something.” She pointed at the other hosts standing in a bulk, whispering, and now you saw it, too. Oh-oh. And indeed, it didn’t take long until Tamaki got swept away again, raising his voice loud enough that you could hear him from your position. “So, if Haruhi has a girlfriend around, it could bring out the female within her. Renge's girlish air of tenderness might be able to stimulate Haruhi's own sense of femininity!”, you heard him yell. Haruhi exhaled exasperatedly next to you. “Now is our chance to help Haruhi get in touch with her feminine side! This is an important project, men. She doesn't have any friends in class right now except for these two shady twins. That's no good for her." “Hey, what about me?” You had stepped closer to them and put your hands on your hips. The slight feeling of jealousy was back and your decision to give Renge another chance began to falter. But the hosts barely reacted to your protest. “Well, you’re not really girly either”, Hikaru claimed, shrugging, turning back to the rest of the hosts. “Hey!” Now you were really upset. “You can’t just replace me like that!” Immediately, everybody stared at you, surprised about your emotional outburst, so you quickly talked on, trying to make the whole situation less awkward. “Haruhi has a girlfriend and it doesn’t matter if we play sports or bake cookies, it…” “Yes!”, Renge suddenly exclaimed. “I would like to make some sweets for Kyoya-sama.” Oh no, you had given her ideas. Without missing a beat Kyouya, who had kept in the background until this moment, stepped forward, happy about being able to stop the other hosts scheming and clapped his hands together, giving her a sweet smile. “What an honour that is for me!” He then turned around almost seamlessly, his smile vanished as he was looking at Haruhi and you and his usual serious self protruded. “Isn’t that right, Haruhi? (Y/n)?” You smiled back just as sweetly fake as he had before, but Haruhi stepped past you. “But we’ll have to get permission to use the home economics room, borrow the key…” Haruhi was just as motivated to do this as you were. At least you weren’t alone, but of course, that didn’t stop Kyouya. He stepped between you, placing a hand on Haruhi’s shoulder, talking in a low voice and facing you directly, so that Renge couldn’t see his expression. “I have the key”, he whispered. “What?”, Haruhi exclaimed, while you tried to figure out what this guy wasn’t capable of. “I thought something like this might happen, so I made a copy of every key in the school.” With these words and a superior smile, he pulled out a key ring full of keys out of his pocket. Your eyes widened and for a second you forgot that you were mad at him. This guy was truly something. “Cool”, you whispered, but cleared your throat immediately, not ready to give Kyouya that satisfaction, although you were almost sure he had heard you. Haruhi didn’t seem so happy about it.

Soon, you, Renge and Haruhi stood in the home economics room, wearing aprons and trying to teach Renge how to bake cookies. Still sulking, you kneaded your dough, still mad at the girl from France, who kept burning everything she touched. You knew you should have helped Haruhi saving Renge from her own mistakes, but somehow you weren’t in the mood. Suddenly, a movement caught your eye. Right there in the door you spotted all the hosts, given, minus Kyoya, fawning over the view. What did they think they were doing? You approached the door and no one seemed to notice you, except for Mori, who immediately hid behind the door, but it was too late, you already stood in front of them, raising an eyebrow. You cleared your throat and they all looked up at you at the same time. “I am going to close the door now” you said in cold voice, shutting it in their face to finish baking the cookies in peace. The audacity these guys had inbetween.

An excruciating hour later you walked back into the club, carrying your cookies. Renge went first, then Haruhi and you followed silently, still sulking. You would give these to your aunt later you thought. She deserved a treat. Tamaki was on one of his rants but got stopped immediately by Renge waltzing through. “You’re talking too much, Fake King", she said coldly, without even looking at Tamaki. In every other situation you would have smiled, but that feeling quickly disappeared, when she made her way directly over to Kyouya with her cookies, holding them out to him. “Kyouya-sama”, she caught his attention. You grumbled and placed down your cookies on a table, refusing to watch him suck up to her. “Haruhi-kun and (y/n) have shown me how to make commoners’ cookies.” “How marvelous”, he exclaimed happily. “How marvelous”, you mimicked him, making the twins chuckle. Kyouya acted like he hadn’t heard it, but you noticed his eyebrow twitch ever so slightly. You decided to see this as a win.

Of course where there were cookies, there was Honey. Sweetly he made his way over to Renge. “Can I have a bite?”, he asked with big eyes and looked at the cookies. Immediately, his smile faltered. They were absolutely burnt. “Yours look better”, Kaoru noticed, sitting down next to you and taking one from you. Hikaru took one, as well, placing it into your mouth, before raising your chin with his hand, and biting off the other half. “You still have some crumbles on your face”, Kaoru added, carefully licking off the crumbles of your face. You turned slightly red at the proximity, but couldn’t react, because you heard Kyouya clear his throat, making the twins grin up at him. Why did this feel like a plan? He stepped over to your little group. “Please, don’t forget how important her family relations are to me”, he said, looking at all three in a reprimanding fashion. You rolled your eyes. He raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure that’s what’s bothering you”, Hikaru said, slipping off the couch and stepping in front of Kyouya. “Or is it…”, Kaoru started, also getting up, but couldn’t finish his sentence, as he was interrupted by Renge’s loud voice. “You are all too tepid!” The entire host club stopped in their movement. “Every single one of you! Except for Kyouya, all of your characters are lukewarm!” Everybody just stared at her for a while, unsure about how to handle the situation. Your eyes flickered to Kyouya. “Each of you needs to have some sort of dark side, you understand? Girls are vulnerable to handsome young men who are troubled! If you keep carrying on like this it's only a matter of time before the girls get tired of you and stop coming altogether! Are you trying to ruin my precious Kyouya’s business?!” “Business?”, Mori’s dark voice rang out and you shot him a surprised glance. You could hear the hurt in his voice as she suggested that the club was nothing more than a business to him. Mori caught your glance and you tried to tell him with your eyes that you understood. He smiled weakly, and for a second you two bonded without words over the ridiculousness of the situation. But Renge didn’t even care. “As your manager it's my duty to change your character backgrounds! Let’s start with you!” She pointed to Honey. One by one, she went through the hosts. And you felt really bad for them. Whatever movie she was in, she needed to get back to reality. Sighing you leant back in your seat, waiting for her to finish. At least she wouldn’t talk about - “You!” You pointed at your face. “Me?” “You’re the Cinderella of the club!” “The what now?” Confused you looked around the room, but everybody was busy accepting their own new role. “You work hard, every day, being mistreated by the members, when all you want is a rich knight in shining armour.” You took a deep breath, trying not to yell at her, shooting Kyouya a glance that said “if I murder her, it’s her own fault.” You could see a smile appear on his face. A real smile. Not the fake one he had worn the entire time since that girl had appeared. Your eyes widened a little in surprise and your heart beat a little faster. He noticed your sudden surprise and his expression changed to confusion. But you didn't have time or the will to react to this, so instead you tried to collect your thoughts and put your attention on the person in the room you were actually mad at. “So I am the shallow rival?”, you asked almost sarcastically, raising an eyebrow at her, but again she didn’t even listen to you. “A rival in a dramatic love triangle!” Renge continued, grabbing your arm and pulling you next to Kyouya. “You fell in love with my beloved Kyouya, cause how could it be different!” A dark blush crept onto your face. Out of anger or embarrassment you didn’t know. “I’d never –“ you tried to stop her, but she was waltzing over you. “Kyouya-sama, however, has only eyes for his fiancé. Me. Meanwhile, Mori…”, now she grabbed his arm, pulling him on your other side, “…is deeply in love with you.” “That’s not how a love triangle works”, you chimed in, trying one last time to stop her, but she ignored you. “That’s right”, the twins appeared on your sides again. “Now if she would like me”, Hikaru started, tilting your chin up to his face, “but I would be in love with her”, Kaoru tilted your head towards him. Your noses were almost touching. “That would be a love triangle.” “Oh yes!”, Renge shouted, “that is genius!” “Why would you give her ideas?”, you sighed and saw that the twins at least also were embarrassed. They had backed off a bit, but both kept an arm dangling over your shoulders. “We don’t know.”

A few minutes later, Renge had not necessarily calmed down, but at least she was busy making some phone calls to whoever, so you got a bit of peace. You had sat back down at the table you had placed your cookies on to get a bit of rest after that whole ordeal. It was almost time for you to go home, anyways. Carefully, you began wrapping them, when Kyouya stepped next to you, but you didn’t even give him the time to lecture you. “Do I really have to be a part of this?”, you sighed instead. He eyed Renge from the corners of his eyes, while he grabbed on of your cookies. “Hey!” You wanted to protest, but there was no use. “Do I need to remind you …”, he began speaking, that fake smile back on his face, he wore whenever she was looking at him. You rolled your eyes and didn't even let him finish his sentence. “Fine”, you interrupted him, “I’ll do it”, you said, focusing on wrapping your cookies. “But can you stop acting like that, then, please?” Surprised, Kyouya dropped his smile. “Like what?” He tried to keep his composure. “All those fake smiles and such when you’re talking to me.” You avoided his gaze and focused on your cookies. “That’s not you and I am not one of the girls you need to impress.” You looked up, but couldn’t look him in the eye. “I like you more, when you’re yourself.” With these words you got up and left the room. Kyouya looked after you, thinking, biting off a piece of the cookie he had taken from you earlier.

Mori stood in front of you. Your gaze went over to Kyouya who stood behind the camera. “Don't be ridiculous, Takashi”, you sneered. “In comparison to everybody else here your family business earns mere peanuts.” You hated yourself for saying these words. Who had written this dialogue again? “You are nothing but the watchdog for…”, you kept on talking, when you suddenly felt Mori’s strong arms around you, pressing you tightly against his chest. Good for the twins, bad for you, Renge had decided that the twins were better off on their own so here you were now. You stiffened, according to the script, waiting for the hug to end. You did feel a little safer in his embrace, though, at least this way you could ignore the three cameras pointed at you. Mori always had something calming about him and you allowed yourself to relax for a second, before whispering “sorry” in a hushed voice that only he would be able to hear, before you pushed him away rather harshly. “You’re nothing to me. I could never love you.” Gosh, this was so not you. Why were you part of this again? But then your gaze found Haruhi behind the camera, who was talking to Tamaki, and you remembered. Ah, right. You focused back on the scene and on Mori who now knelt before you. He actually seemed a little hurt by your words. He was definitely a good actor that much you had to give him. When he spoke his voice was dark and soft as usual. “I can make you happy.” For some reason these words let your heart beat a bit faster, as you looked at the older host and you started to stammer. “Cut, cut, cut!”, Renge yelled, and you shook your head. “Sorry”, you apologized, more to Mori than to her. “I think I just need a break.”

You stepped over to Kyoya, who was scribbling something in his notebook again. “And? Happy with what you’re seeing?” He stopped writing for a second, not seeming to understand what you were saying. “I don’t know what you mean.” He avoided eye contact. Did he think … “Oh!”, you quickly exclaimed, “not that scene. No… I just assumed you are mostly accepting this behaviour because you need new material for your photo books.” He smirked and began to write again. “I really have underestimated you”, he said and you weren’t sure if you should feel insulted or happy about the compliment. You were just about to reply something, when Renge called you over for take two.

You ran towards the commotion, worried about your friend. The twins had run over to you and told you what had happened and you immediately followed them back to the schene. When you arrived, Tamaki was looking at your friend intently, making sure she was fine. You sighed relieved. That guy really was alright. You stepped next to him, looking down at your friend. “Are you okay, Haru-chan?” Haruhi nodded. Now fully relieved, you exhaled deeply, when Renge’s voice made you tense up again. “Other than Haruhi's contact falling out that was an ideal final scene!” , she exclaimed happily and now you really had enough. Even with the risk of Kyouya murdering you afterwards, you couldn't just let this continue. “Hey”, you yelled at her, “my friend got hurt!” But she ignored you. You swore by god if she’d now make it all about … “All it needs now is a moving narration by my sweet Kyouya!” You had opened your mouth again, ready to give her a bit of your opinion, when a loud crashing sound interrupted your anger. Surprised you looked up to see Kyouya in front of you, having destroyed the camera lense with a big stone in one swift movement. You watched him in awe and you felt your pulse quicken. “I'm terribly sorry”, Kyouya started, ignoring the cries of the camera men, “but I cannot allow there to be any record of a club member engaging in violence. I think you've caused enough trouble around here Renge.” And then he said the one sentence you could have kissed him for on the spot. “Please stop being such a pest.” Took him long enough. You lowered your head, trying to hide your smile at these words. Finally, he was back to normal. Well, whatever normal was for him. And Renge definitely had needed a reality check. Your happiness was short-lived, though, because not a second later, tears started to fall from her eyes. Unsure about what to do you looked her. “A pest?” You reached out a hand to pat her shoulder, and she looked up at you with tear-stained eyes, before she turned back to Kyouya. “But you're supposed to pat me on the head and tell me not to worry! You're supposed to be kind and affectionate Kyouya! Why are you acting so differently now? Tell me why!” “Because that is not the real Kyouya”, Tamaki simply said into the silence. You smiled slightly. He could be really insightful if he wanted. As annoying as he was sometimes, his heart was certainly in the right place. You let your hand sink back to your side and your gaze wandered over to Kyouya. “Thank god it isn’t”, you said teasingly, and he caught your smirk, stepping next to you, while Haruhi confronted Renge. “What are you implying?” “I saw you be nice for two entire days, and it freaked me out, to be honest.” He chuckled. “Well, I told you, her family relations meant a lot to me. Why do you think I allowed all this to happen in the first place? Ignoring the fact that now I will have to pay for the camera lense, too. Should I add that to Haruhi’s debt?” You looked up at him. Somehow you were really relieved he had stopped this madness and was back to his usual, even if slightly scary, self. You knew he had allowed all of this for a reason as usual, but he had also stopped it eventually. He said for the sake of the club, but something told you that this wasn't the full truth. You smiled slightly. He really was intriguing. “Don’t act like the video material hadn’t been saved digitally. I’m sure you’ll recover financially.” And with these words you left his side, to walk over to Haruhi who was actually comforting Renge. Maybe, you should give her another chance. Or at least save Haruhi from the situation.

Again, Kyouya looked after her, a smirk appearing on his face. He watched her kneel down next to Haruhi and Renge, talking and trying to calm down the latter. He scoffed and looked at the stone he was still holding in his hand, throwing it up and down a few times. Getting you into the club had been certainly the most interesting thing that had happened in a long time.
