'THE RED RANGER'

Jason searched the school for you while the other Rangers headed to face off against Rita's latest monster. You were heading down the stairs when he found you and you knew instantly from his expression of regret that another date was about to be cancelled. That made it four in a row.

You listened as he claimed to have another emergency, and promising to make it up to you, and as you watched the man you love lie, you felt your anger reach a boiling point and your heart shatter.

"Don't bother." You walked by him and Jason called out to you as you headed down the hallway, sighing when you ignored him. Alpha warned him that the others were struggling without him and he knew he had to choose, and in that split second he chose his friends, hoping he hadn't ruined his chances with you.

Little did he know that you had plans of your own. You followed him out of school to the park where the other Rangers were fighting. Your eyes widened when you saw him help the four Rangers defeat the Putties. You clutched your camera tightly, snapping pictures of the Rangers as they fought to defeat the Putties.

You had supported him during competitions so you knew when his mind was distracted and when two Putties advanced behind him, you called out to him, "Jason, look out!"

He turned, finding you standing with your camera. He took down the Putties and looked at where you stood frozen, "Run, Y/N! Run!"

You hesitated as you watched him take down another Putty and swallowed thickly when he promised to explain later, taking out his morpher. You knew from the look in his eyes that you would only serve as a distraction and the last thing you wanted was for him to get hurt. So you left, looking over your shoulder just in time to catch him morphing into the Red Ranger. You stumbled but kept on running. You had no destination in mind, however, when you realized it was best to stay away from your house, you headed to Ernie's and when he saw how frazzled you were, he brought you a shake on the house.

Almost an hour later Jason entered with his friends and you knew from their expression that they knew, you found out about their secret. Jason approached you, a tentative smile on his lips as he said, "I can explain everything, if you want me too."

You left Ernie's and walked around Angel Grove, having no particular destination in mind as he told you the story about how he and his four friends became Power Rangers and the secret they vowed to keep to Zordon. You listened intently, not asking questions and allowing him to speak freely.

You stopped walking when he took your hands, assuring you that from this moment forth he would always confide in you, never lie about 'emergencies' and you saw the fear in his eyes - his belief that you would reject him and end your relationship.

You closed your eyes, squeezing his hands as you met his gaze, "Just promise me one thing."

"Anything." He agreed instantly.

"Always come back to me."

Jason smiled, a weight lifted from his shoulders, his hands rising to your cheek, "I promise. I love you. And I will never lie to you again. From here on out, complete transparency."

You smiled softly, "I love you too."

He leaned in to kiss you passionately, wrapping his arms around your as he deepened the kiss, and you placed your hands on his cheeks, smiling against his lips.

That day you made an oath to always be truthful, honest, and always stand by one another no matter what the future had in store. Your love will always persevere.

You watch Adam pace the floor of the youth center with an amused smile. Adam was always the one to show his emotions on his sleeve. It was part of his charm. You stood up from your bar stool and moved behind Adam and wrapped your arms around Adam’s waist. “Babe, It’ll be alright. I promise. I’ve known Kim and Billy since diapers. If they don’t accept us then they can find a new black ranger.” You said as you kissed your boyfriend’s cheek. The smile that lit up Adam’s face warmed your heart. You knew how big a deal this was for him. Adam had JUST figured out he was bisexaul and he wanted you to meet the other rangers. Yes, you know about Adam being the black ranger. You were told by Zordon himself.

It was a week or two after Adam met you. And you had Adam all out of sorts. He couldn’t stop thinking about you and your soft, S/C skin, your H/L H/S H/C hair and of course, your beautiful E/C eyes. It was cliche but It was love at first sight. But, with his obsession on you his work in the field got sloppy and everyone noticed. Tommy informed Zordon about Adam’s decline and the wizard told the white ranger that he would speak to Adam. And when Zordon discovered that Adam fell in love with one of the original candidates to be a ranger. It was in the two weeks between Meeting Adam and being told about the rangers that you fell in love with Adam. You never met a kinder boy and you were smitten from the start.

You went to kiss Adam when you heard a familiar laugh. You knew it was Kim’s. She had been your friend since you could remember. So had Jason, Billy, Zach and Trini. You weren't surprised to know they had been and or are Power Rangers. Though you were upset about them not telling you. You were just happy your friends weren’t doing drugs or something dumb. You smiled at Adam's pout. “Don’t worry, my love. Once we tell them you’ll get as many kisses as you wish.” You told the black ranger and you knew you had to fulfill your promise as the smile the master of the lion thunderzord sent you.

“Tell us what?” Kim asked as the group stepped close to you. You couldn’t help but laugh as the pink ranger put her hands on her hips. You were reminded why you never could keep a secret from her. “Uh, well, I got big, Uh, news and I’m very excited to tell you guys but, uh, very um nervous about how you’ll react.” Oh Adam. You chuckle at how your boyfriend rambled on. “Oh, Adam. You know we care about you no matter what.” Kim said as she placed her hand on Adam’s cheek. You looked at your boyfriend telling him that he can do the honors. “Um, Well me and Y/N are dating and I’m bixsexaul.” You smiled as the entire group, except Tommy, Engulfed Adam into a hug. As Tommy stood next to you, you failed to notice Bulk and Skull behind you.

“If Adam gives you any trouble you tell me.” The white ranger said as the group hug broke up. You went to speak when you heard Bulk’s annoying ass voice. “I Always knew Y/N and Adam were fags.” You heard the overweight Teen say to his friend as they walked by enjoying the glares from the rangers. “Next time let the putties beat them senseless? What? Oh, I know you guys are power rangers. Tacos anyone?” You said with a smirk. Oh yes, the Rangers loved Adam’s new boyfriend.

Tommy Oliver x Reader

A/N: In memory of Jason David Frank. RIP man, you will be missed. Prayers to your wife and kids in this time. We will never forget you and your legacy as Tommy Oliver.

Summary: You take Tommy and the rangers to a country club and force them, well Tommy to dance. (I cried while writing this.)

Key: Y/N=Your name, Y/B/N=Your Brothers Name and Y/N/N=Your Nick Name.

You and Tommy have been dating for seven months. You decided it would be a good Idea to go Texas to visit your brother and take your boyfriend and your friends to a country club.

"Y/N, you know I love you right? But why are we all the way in Texas?" Tommy asked as you, him and the gang were standing outside the club. Trini and Kimberly hit him in the arm.

"Because she wants to see her brother." The pink ranger stated.

Tommy put his hands up in defence. He gave you a smile. You returned it and grabbed his hand. Kimberly and Trini did the same thing with Jason and Zack. Leaving Billy behind.

"Uhh Guys?!" He called out.

You want back and grabbed the blue ranger by his arm and brought him in the restaurant. The waiter took the seven of you to your table. You sat next to Tommy and held his hand. He knew what you were doing because of the way your were holding his hand.

"What is it, doll?" He questioned you.

"Before we eat here we always do some barn dances." You reply hoping he would say yes.

"No. No. No. Babe, I love dancing with you. But-"

Before the boy could say anything else you interrupted him and had the puppy dog eyes on your face,

"I know but please?"

He shook his head. You knew what you had to do. So you went to the stage.

"Hey everyone! Guess who's back?" You yell to the crowd.

They all turn the heads to the stage.

"Y/N?" Everyone questions.

"Yeah it's me. Josh would you mind." You smiled. Your old friend gave you a smile and said,

"Oh, let's do this Y/N/N."

Jason, Tommy, Kimberly, Billy, Trini and Zack looked at each other confused as people started to get out of their sets and onto the dance floor.

There was a surprise instrumental break. Your brother gave you a smile. You had a little bit of time to get Tommy to dance.

"Babe come dance." You say as you grabbed his arm.

"No." Tommy stated. You sighed and point at Zack.

He sighed and gave you a smile.

"Okay fine. Any time I get to spend with you is the time of my life."

You smiled and grabbed is hand in yours and lead him to the dance floor. You all did your little solos before you started singing again.

Everyone cheered loudly. The people in the room want back to their sets as the waiters came to get their order. You told the green ranger what to order for you. You sat on a chair on the stage and spoke into the microphone.

The crowd cheered once again. You smiled.

"It feels weird to be back here, on this stage. The very stage my brother and I-"

Everyone started clapping at the mention of your brother.

"The stage we first sung together. So even though Y/B/N isn't gonna be up here tonight. This is detected to my boyfriend at the booth over there with our friends, Tommy Oliver."

A chorus of 'awes' was heard. You got of the stage and went back to your table. Your food came and you all ate. After eating and giving your friends an explanation, your brother got up on stage and sung a slow love song. Tommy got up and held his hand out to you.

"Wanna dance?" He asked sweetly.

All you did was smile at him. This time he lead you to the dance floor. As you were dancing he broke the silence by saying,

"Your beautiful. You know that right?"

"Hearing it coming from you a billion times tonight, I kinda believe you." You said.

He chuckled. As the song was at an end he slowly and tenderly kissed you. The weekend away in Taxes was the best time of your lives.

A8. What was your first fandom? Are you still in that fandom now?

I don't really know how to answer this, tbh. I was born in the mid 80s so I've been a fan of so many things, but I'm not sure which constitutes as my first fandom since I don't think fandom was the same in my childhood when the internet wasn't much of a thing. If it was what do I first remember being a fan of, dinosaurs then Jurassic Park would do it. But I also loved Sonic the Hedgehog, Bucky O' Hare, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Biker Mice from Mars, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, ReBoot... etc etc.

If we're talking being part of a collective fandom with other fans, then it'd either be Star Wars pre-internet where I was in the UK "fan club" and had pen pals (those crazy days!) or if we're talking internet fandoms, I think I first resided in the Power Rangers fandom in the early 2000s when we first got the internet at home. I kinda miss those early internet days, it was a fun, crazy time. I still have an email from Robert Axelrod, who was the actor who voiced Lord Zedd in Power Rangers, after he came across my (now non-existent) Lord Zedd fan website online. Robert's sadly passed away now but I love that he emailed me. It made my year. It still touches my heart.

And am I still in the Power Rangers fandom? Not really. I swing by from time to time, throw out weird fan art, think about going back to my fanfic project, but meh... I haven't watched any recent series and I haven't the time or money to keep up with the rebooted comics, which I have a sinking feeling I wouldn't enjoy, being a fan from the old days and having invested so much of my imagination making up my own backstories of and reboots for the characters.

Anyway, there's a non-answer.

B6. What is your favourite story trope? Why?

I nearly said Enemies to Lovers because I do enjoy a good bad guy/good guy romance, but when I look at my fics and the ships I enjoy, canon or otherwise, it's not so much Enemies to Lovers as Forbidden Romance - within which Enemies to Lovers often conveniently fits. I just lurve people getting together who absolutely should not be together, either because of their moral disparity or societal barriers or whatever, it fills me with joy. So much friction and drama and inconvenience. And it usualy creates sex that isn't cosy, it's a battleground, it's a fight for dominance.

Within the Forbidden Romance trope, I usually have sub-tropes that I certainly write in every one of my fics - and I love it if I find them in other fics, or even canon. This tends to include the Age Gap trope - in my case the older man-younger woman dynamic, nothing original; a bit of the ol' Forced Proximity trope (this was the only way I could make "Dodge and Burn" even slightly feasible), plus an Unplanned Pregnancy trope for ultimate angst - and sometimes even needed levity. Nothing beats the image of a ravaged hard man with a baby.

Request - Hi, can you write Wanda Maximoff X Male Reader. The Reader is Wanda boyfriend,secretly he's the new red mighty morphin power ranger, and Wanda discovers the reader when He fights with the monster of Rita repulsa

Wanda is angry at her boyfriend Y/n. She wasn't happy to seem when he went to her apartment with flowers and a teddy bear.

“Wanda, I'm sorry,” Y/n said.

“Why are you here?” Wanda asked.

“I came to apologize to you. I am sorry that I had to ditch you on our date-”

“Why did you just leave? You didn't even call or text me. I felt like an idiot waiting in the restaurant for you” Wanda said.

“I do mean it. Wanda, I am so sorry and I wish I can take it back but I can't. I got you a teddy bear and flowers to show you how bad I feel for what I did to you. I'm so sorry” Y/n said.

He gave her the gifts and she starts to smell the flowers.

“The gifts are nice but that doesn't mean I will forgive you,” Wanda said.

“I know. But can I take you out today? Maybe we can go play miniature golf” Y/n said.

“No,” Wanda said.

She closed the door and he sighed. He knocked on the door, but she didn't open it. Then he called her cell phone, but she didn't pick up. Then he starts to write a text, saying how sorry he is, and apologized to her. He walked away and he goes home, he will give her space.

Y/n is with his friends and told them what happened with Wanda. They support the relationship and hope it will work out between them.

“Are you going to tell her?” Kimberly asked.

“I was about to her, but she didn't want to talk. I'm giving her space and hope she will give me a chance to tell her. I don't want to lose her” Y/n said.

“You won't lose her. Look, once she isn't mad at you then tell her. We trust her that she won't tell anyone about us being power rangers” Tommy said.

“He is right. Once, you tell her then she would understand why you kept it a secret. Maybe tell her before going to the Halloween party” Zack said.

“I will try. I don't know if she will still go with me” Y/n said.

“It will be fine, Y/n,” Tommy said.

“Hope so” Y/n sighed.

Halloween... Y/n is dressed up as a werewolf and he is at the party. It's hard for him to have fun and he is looking for Wanda. Wanda arrived at the party and she noticed Y/n. Wanda is dressed as a Tinker bell.

“Hey, Wanda you look great” Y/n smiled.

“So do you, Y/n,” Wanda said.

“Can we talk?” Y/n asked.

“Y/n, I want to say I'm sorry,” Wanda said.

“Sorry? Why are you apologizing?” Y/n asked in confusion.

Wanda was going to say something but Zack rushed towards you.

“Y/n, we have to go now!” Zack said.

“What's wrong?” Y/n asked.

“It's urgent!” Zack said.

Y/n just followed Zack and left the party. Wanda starts to follow them to the park, Wanda watched Y/n and his friends change...

“It's Morphin time!” Y/n said.

Wanda is surprised by what she saw. And she continues to watch them fight Rita Repulsa's Putty Patrollers.

“Now, do you think I didn't come with my backup friends? You will still lose” Rita said.

“We are not tired just yet. This ends now” Y/n said.

Now Y/n starts to fight Goldar and King Sphinx. And his friends are fighting the Putty Patrollers and Bones. Y/n and his friends are starting to lose.

“This is the end, Y/n” Rita smiled.

She was about to kill Y/n.

“Enough!” Wanda yelled.

Everyone watched Wanda use her magic to make the monsters and Rita go away.

“Woah, you have magic!?” Kimberly said.

“Where did they go?” Y/n asked.

“I just made them go somewhere else,” Wanda said.

“Oh,” Y/n said.

-Y/n and Wanda are alone at her home.

“Y/n, I apologized to you at the party because it was unfair, that I get mad when I didn't even tell you my secret,” Wanda said.

“So... Are you a witch?” Y/n asked.

“Yes. I was born with magic and the older I got, I learned more magic that I never came across. So... What are you?” Wanda said.

“I am a power ranger and so are my friends. Rita and her monsters are our enemies and she knows my secret. Well, that situation was bad and she found out everything. We can't just let everyone know that we are the power rangers. That's what I wanted to tell you, but I hesitated to tell you” Y/n said.

Wanda gently grabbed his hand and smiled at him.

“I wanted to tell you too about my secret. But I was scared you would think I'm a monster” Wanda said.

“If you told me, I wouldn't have called you a monster. I still feel the same way about you. And... And... I love you, Wanda” Y/n said.

“You mean it?” Wanda asked.

“Yes. Yes, I do mean it that I love you” Y/n said.

Wanda kissed him on the lips.

“I love you too, Y/n” Wanda smiled.

Wanda wrapped her arms around him and start to kiss him.

Y/n took Wanda to The Command Center and she met Zordon. She liked meeting Alpha and he makes her laugh.

“I promised, Y/n that I won't tell anyone,” Wanda said.

“We trust you that you won't tell anyone. What kind of magic can you do?” Alpha said.

Wanda starts to show off her magic and everyone is impressed. Wanda doesn't feel like an outcast and she is happy. They are glad that Wanda and Y/n are still dating. Y/n did explain what is a power Morpher and Y/n showed her the power coin he uses. And he explained how he got the Tyrannosaurus coin.

Now and then Wanda would hen and his friends fight Rita and her monsters. Wanda is happy that she doesn't have to hide her magic. Y/n accidentally broke one of her favorite mugs.

“I am so sorry I didn't mean to break it,” Y/n said.

“It's okay, babe,” Wanda said.

She used magic to fix the mug.

“Wow, that is impressive” Y/n smiled.

He kissed her on the lips and she starts to smile. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and he has his hands on her waist.

“Maybe, we go out to eat and watch that new movie?” Wanda asked.

“Sounds like a good idea. And maybe-”

Kimberly called telling Y/n and Wanda there is trouble.

“Monsters always know, how to ruin a good moment,” Wanda said.

“You are coming too?” Y/n asked.

“Yeah, I will help,” Wanda said and gave him a peck on the lips.

Wanda and Y/n leave the apartment.

Avengers Inc - A bit jarring between the cover art and the interior art not really matching up, but I still am onboard with this book.

World's Finest - I've stated this before, but I've never been a fan of Kingdom Come. I do think Waid and Mora can make this work. With Mora's great art and Waid dipping back into something he's familiar with, I do think this can be compelling.

Hawkgirl - I flipped through - because I am behind with this series - and I am little confused on what I saw. Need to play catch up badly.

Immortal X-Men - Saving something for a later title, but anyway a Jean issue during this event I think will work well.

Jay Garrick: The Flash - Just raced through issue one so I wasn't too far behind getting into this. I think Adams did a great job on his Flash (title) run, and I do think this miniseries will be a good look at how Jay handles Judy. I do like that in issue one it made reference to the fact Jay couldn't have children, and I am hoping that's not the only reference to that fact. A lot more to see here.

JL Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong - I did manage to read this one, too. I do think the set-up has to happen in a way to get the Monsters colliding with the JL. Using the Legion of Doom was a odd choice to do it. Weird to think this is the only Justice League book at the moment. I saw Supes punching Godzilla on the first few panels in issue two - I would like more of that!

JSA - Johns takes so long with this book I have to think really hard and remind myself what happened last issue. And last issue was an 'Aftermath' issue to reset the table for the next few issue. I do not think Johns is using his time well with this book. I do hope this issue manages to do more than what the last six gave readers. I want a JSA book, but I don't want to waste my time. And Johns is working in his own continuity - remember folks, we are not living in a new Golden age; we are living in a new Silver age.

MMPR - Too much stuff is happening in this title, and not enough page space for it. Considering dropping this title soon. Haven't been in a PR mood since I stopped playing Legacy Wars, too. We'll see.

The Alternates - I've always been curious on how superhero universes work. One of the reasons I still like getting DC and Marvel books is that the universes have been ongoing for decades. You can play catch up, but not a lot and that's fun. Minor Threats is new and is influenced by pop culture and previous ideas about superheroes. Dark Horse letting people play with that idea is nice and a cool change of pace.

Moon Knight: City of the Dead - I think Scarlet Scarab hype is what got me to consider this book, and also the fact I've been enjoing MacKay's Moon Knight run. Rosenberg is doing a great job on colors, too.

Wolverine - I am confused how Ryp was able to manage two books this week, but these things happen. Glancing through the issue makes me understand I am not caught up with what's happening with Black Panther. Not a problem, we'll power through. Interesting here is there's a different colorist on the X-Men book above and the difference is noticeable in a way.

This list was delayed due to Thanksgiving. Next list might not even be until Friday.

Prompt/summary: Jason keeps running off from his best friend, until a chance encounter reveals a secret he wanted to keep hidden.

Dear Diary,

The past few days have been… strange. I’m not even sure how to properly explain it, but I think Jason’s hiding something from me.

He was supposed to meet me at the youth center yesterday to help me with some of my self defense moves I learned in class that day. He never showed up though.

“I’m so sorry,” Jason said over the phone. It was almost midnight when he called my house, luckily my parents were out of town so it wasn’t a problem.

I sighed, “It’s fine Jace. We can just go over them some next week.”

“I promise I won’t miss it,” he said, “Besides I like seeing you kick ass.”

“Oh shut up,” I said, he could probably hear my smile through the phone.

And over the weekend he said we could go out to lunch to celebrate being nominated for senior homecoming candidates. He was almost an hour late.

“I’m sorry I’m late!” Jason said. He sat down at the table and dug into some chips and salsa.

“You’re lucky I didn’t get up and leave earlier Mr. Jason Lee,” I said, closing the book I had open on the table.

“I know, I know, I’m the worst best friend ever.”

I don’t know what’s going on with him. In school I’ll try to stop him in the hallway but he’s always in a rush to get somewhere. It’s really making me worry.

I just really want my best friend back.

I closed the diary and wrapped the elastic cord around it to keep it closed before it went into my bag. The warm sun felt amazing on my face. The park was bustling today as people of Angel Grove enjoyed the clear sunny day.

I hadn’t heard from Jason in a few days. His absence was really starting to make me worried. Yeah, I had other friends, but Jason and I had been best friends for years ever since we met in primary school.

The sound of laughter made me look up. I watched as Jason passed by with no more than a glance in my direction.

I grabbed my bag before trying to catch up to them, “Jason!”

He turned around with a slightly surprised expression on his face.

“Hey,” I tried to smile and not make things awkward, “Are we gonna meet up at the Youth Center this Friday?”

“Oh… I’m sorry (Y/n) but the gang and I already had plans.”

My heart sunk as I looked at his new group of friends with a solemn expression, “Oh, alright then. Guess I’ll catch you later…”

I tried so hard to not let the pain come out in my words, but I never was a good actor. I left the park holding back tears and walked all the way home with them staining my cheeks.

Three weeks flew by in a hurry and I was sucked into the frenzy of the prom committee. To my surprise (and some dismay) Jason’s new friends had volunteered to help decorate the gymnasium. The exact area I was in charge of. Luckily I was too busy to even dwell on the fact that my ex-bestfriend came to talk to them more than he did me.

“Hey (Y/n),” Kimberly said, “Which spot do you think would be best for the drink table?”

“Over by the photo booth,” I said, writing down every task we had gotten done that day on a clipboard. I must’ve gotten so caught up in my work I didn’t realize that Jason’s whole friend group had entered the gym.

“Wow! This place looks amazing!” Trini said.

Kimberly smiled, “Yeah all thanks to (Y/n).”

“It was no big deal. Mrs. Saslow bought all the decorations we just had to set them up.”

“Well,” Billy adjusted his glasses, “You did a phenomenal job coordinating everything.”

“Thanks guys.”

My eyes caught Jason and I looked away quickly. Maybe it was the awkward silence, or maybe they were in a rush, but Trini quickly led the boys back to the hallway to help her bring in more folding chairs.

“What happened between you and Jason?” Kimberly asked while putting a light blue tablecloth over the drink table.

“Nothing.”

“I don’t think that’s true,” she said, “Everytime you’re around him anymore you just seem so sad. You two used to be inseparable and everyone knew it.”

“I mean it literally, nothing happened. He kept promising to hang out and do all the things we used to do together but then never did. I’m not even sure why.”

Kimberly sighed, “I promise, Jason’s just going through a lot right now.”

She must’ve noticed the tears forming in my eyes when she placed a gentle hand on my shoulder.

“Are you in love with him?”

“I- I’m not exactly sure,” I sighed.

Kimberly chuckled, “For you to be as heartbroken as you are whenever you see him there has to be something a little more than friendship there.”

“I don’t know. Maybe I’ll figure it out one day, right now he doesn’t even want to be around me so I should just move on.”

“That’s not true.”

I huffed, “He hasn’t called or stopped to talk to me in three weeks Kimberly. He doesn’t want me around.”

“Kim! A little help here?” Zack yelled from the hallway.

Kimberly grabbed a napkin and the pen from my hand, “Here, call me this weekend and we can hang out instead. No stupid, idiotic boys, just some girl time.”

“Thanks Kimberly, I appreciate it.”

Dear Diary,

Jason finally got back to me today. He asked for us to meet up at the park. I’m not sure exactly why, but I’ll update you on it when I get back.

The swings had always been my favorite part of the park, so as I sat and wrote the latest entry in my diary my legs swung back and forth slightly.

Wham!

My diary is knocked out of my hands and before I could react my arms were being tugged on by two weird gray looking creatures. One of them has rope in their hand as they lead me to the nearest tree. I swiveled my arm out of one's grip and knocked its legs out from under it. The other tries to do the same to me but I jump and flip it over onto it’s back before it even got the chance.

A bright flash goes off to my right knocking me to the ground.

When I finally get my bearings I'm being tied to the tree by those weird creatures.

From the corner of my eye I see people in bright colored suits running towards the gold monster.

Holy shit, it's the power rangers.

“Stop right there Goldar!” the one in red yelled.

My eyes narrow as I try to place where I had heard that voice before. I barely even noticed some of the fighting as I wracked my brain trying to think. He sounded so familiar.

One of the rangers came crashing into me with a hard hit to my stomach.

“Sorry!” the girl in pink yelled.

Wait a second…

Finally the monster teleported away and the rangers rushed over to untie me from the tree.

“You’re safe now,” the one in the black suit said.

“Here’s your stuff,” the yellow ranger said.

“Uhh, thanks…”

“Are you alright?” the red ranger said. Hearing his voice for a second time made everything click.

“Jason?”

I could visibly see him freeze up causing me to chuckle, “Is it really you?”

With a sigh him and the rest of the rangers demorphed. In front of me stood Kim, Zack, Billy, Trini, and a really embarrassed looking Jason.

“I promise I was on my way to meet you.”

“It’s alright,” I said, picking up my bag and grabbing my diary from Trini, “It looks to me like you had bigger problems to handle at the moment.”

“Yeah,” he said shyly.

“What did you need to meet me here for?” I asked.

“Oh!” Kimberly yelled, “You guys wait here, Jason I’ll let you know when it’s ready!”

“When what’s ready?”

“Just don’t worry about it, see you guys later!” Billy said as he, Zack, and Trini took off after Kimberly.

I looked to Jason only for him to smile shyly and take my hand. My heart was racing as he led me over to the swings. Was his hand always this nice to hold? Why hadn’t I noticed this before?

“I’m really sorry for avoiding you. I promise I was trying to keep you safe.”

“Safe?” I asked, “Safe from what?”

“Rita. The one who keeps sending all these monsters. I promise I’ll make it up to you, whatever way you want me to.”

“I understand Jace, but…”

“But what?”

“Hmmm maybe a proper dinner at our favorite restaurant on main street might help me forgive you.”

He chuckled, “It’s a deal, right after this though.”

“After what?”

The bracelet on his wrist went off before he could answer me, “Jason! We’re ready!”

He smiled and grabbed my hand again, leading me down the path that leads to the parks gazebo.

“Oh, wait,” he said, stopping me before we could round the corner, “You, uh, might wanna cover your eyes for a second.”

“Why?”

“You’ll see, please?”

“Fine,” I huffed.

He placed my hands over my eyes before guiding me by the small of my back. Which made my heart beat even faster.

“Alright, open them.”

I pulled my hands away from my face and looked around in awe. Fairy lights had been strung around the banisters and a giant sign was placed in front of where he stood.

“PROM?”

A laugh rang out from my chest as I jumped into his arms in a bonecrushing hug.

“Is that a yes?”

“Yes you dummy!”

“She said yes!” he yelled.

“YAY!” the rest of the rangers yelled and clapped from the edge of the clearing where the gazebo stood.

I laughed as he finally set my feet on the ground, blushing madly from his friend's reaction.

He kissed me gently on my forehead making me smile and lean my head on his chest.

Dear Diary,

He made it up to me.

Fashion Frenzy

Summary: Y/N, the tomboyish Silver Ranger, encounters the fashion machine at the Junior Science Fair. Takes place during "I, Eye Guy" (s1 ep8).

I walked into the Youth Centre, where the Junior Science Fair was in full swing. Tables lined the floor, and an enthusiastic child stood beside each one, demonstrating their creative invention. As I walked through the tables, Bulk and Skull pushed past me, nearly knocking me over.

“Watch it, you two!” I yelled at them. They ran out the door, and only then did I notice that they were both wearing women's clothes as they both ran out the door. I let out a laugh, then walked over to Kimberly, Trini, and a girl I didn't know who were standing beside a tall machine and giggling.

“Hey guys! What happened to Bulk and Skull?” I asked.

The three girls looked at each other, grinned, and whispered something I couldn't hear.

“It's easier if we show you,” Kimberly said. She and Trini grabbed me by the arms and shoved me into the machine.

“Wait!” I shouted and tried to get out, but they closed the door. I felt a slight rumble under my feet as the machine turned on and began to change my clothes. “Stop it!” I yelled, trying to grab my favourite black hoodie and sneakers, but they were yanked out of my grip and thrown out the top of the machine with some purple glitter. “Let me out of here!” I yelled again, but nobody listened. Makeup brushes attacked my face and my hair got pulled out of its usual ponytail and styled. As soon as I get out of here, I'm gonna kill Kimberly and Trini, I thought. Of course I didn't mean it, but they knew that I didn't like dressing up.

“Here she comes,” I heard Trini say, so I knew this torture was almost over. The machine flung me out, and Kimberly and Trini smiled at me.

“You look amazing, Y/N!” Kim said, gently turning me so I was facing a mirror on the wall. I look at myself in horror. My comfortable outfit was gone, and I was wearing a purple tank top, a blue skirt, and high heels. My hair had been twisted into some kind of updo, and the makeup on my face made me look like I was entering a beauty pageant.

I angrily turned towards my friends. “Why would you do this to me?!” Kim and Trini glanced at each other, worry etched into their faces, and they pushed me back into the machine.

I felt like screaming as I went through the process again, but when I came out, I realized that I was back in my normal outfit, except still wearing the skirt instead of my jeans.

“We're really sorry, Andi,” Trini said. “We only wanted to have a little fun.”

“Yeah, can you forgive us?” Kim added.

I smiled at my friends. They never meant to make me uncomfortable. I rubbed the fabric of the blue skirt between my fingers. “You can keep my jeans,” I said. “In fact,” I began, walking back into the machine again, “turn it on.”

Trini and Kimberly glanced at each other.

“Are you sure?” Trini asked, looking at me questioningly.

I nodded my head and smiled. “I'm sure.”

The clouds were barely visible due to the ships covering the skies, and your mind wandered to your son and daughter waiting at home with Tommy's parents. You hadn't mentioned leaving to fight to save the planet, not wanting to trouble your son who was old enough to understand while your newborn daughter was too young. So you told him you were going away for a few days to see old friends. Which wasn't a complete lie as you were reunited with your high school friends who had became life long friends.

You felt a jacket being placed over your shoulders and closed your eyes when you smelt the familiar cologne your husband wore. You looked at Tommy when he stood beside you, sending you a smile. You returned it weakly as you thought of your newborn. Wondering if this was the battle that took you away from your family. Although you knew Tommy would never let you out of his sight, all bets were off in a battle of this scale, especially when it had been so long since you had been an active Ranger.

Tommy knew your mind was still on the little boy he had rescued from the red car that was tipping backward off the bridge, and it made you think of your own children waiting at home for their parents' return.

Seeing the tears in your eyes, your husband brought you to his chest, "Come here."

You wrapped your arms around his waist, looking into the fire as he held you, feeling his lips against your head.

"I know you are worried. But you don't have to be." He reassured you. "Everything is going to be fine."

You lifted your head to meet his gaze, wondering how he was so confident.

"You still have a wicked kick." He added with a smile.

Your lips tugged upwards, and Tommy kissed your forehead, holding you close when you laid your head on his chest. His eyes drifted to the fire, his smile faltering slightly, displaying his own fears. He would do everything in his power to ensure your safety. Even at the cost of his own.

"I got your back."
