'LOVESTRUCK'

Her eyes were drawn to you as you stood next to Jason, arms crossed as you observed the younger students. When you noticed one boy having difficulty, you stepped forward to help him, standing side by side as you taught him the Mawashi Geri - the Roundhouse Kick.
"Hello, Kimberly!" Trini teased with a grin, gaining her attention. "You didn't hear a word I said just now, did you?"
"Sorry, I was -"
"Staring at the cute guy over there? Yeah," Trini shared a smile with Zack, "we noticed."
As the trio began to converse, Jason joined the table to have a drink, his eyes moving between the group, seeing the teasing grins on Zack and Trini's lips. "What?"
"Someone has a crush on y/n." Zack nodded and the group looked at where you were smiling as you addressed the group of students, who were wide eyed with admiration as you spoke.
Jason understood their admiration as your explanations were both detailed yet easy to follow, and you always had a phrase to help the younger students remember difficult movements. You were a great competitor during competitions, and well disciplined. Sometimes he wished you could help them fight against Rita due to your skill.
He looked at Kimberly, "I can introduce you, if you want."
"Really? You would do that?"
Jason chuckled, nodding, "Sure. Come over after class is dismissed."
He re-joined the class for the final fifteen minutes and once you both bowed to dismiss the students, Jason collected his towel and his bag while Kimberly approached the two of you.
"Uh, Y/N, this is my friend Kimberly. Kimberly, this is Y/N."
You sent her a smile, and a nod, as you put the strap of your bag on your shoulder. "Hey."
"Hey," She returned the smile, "You're really good with the kids."
"Thanks. I remember what it was like when I was learning, and it sometimes helps to remind them that no one rarely performs a move perfect first time." Remembering that you were on holiday next week, you turned to Jason, "Are you still cool to cover the class next week?"
Jason nodded, looking at Kimberly. "His family has a cabin out of state where they go fishing once a year."
"I'm a poor fisherman. But a good beer-boy." You smiled when she laughed. "I better head home to pack." You turned to Jason, clapping a hand on his shoulder, "Thanks for covering for me, man."
You looked at Kimberly, walking backwards, "I'll see you around?"
She stood straighter, trying not to smile too wide from excitement. You wanted to see her again. "Definitely."
You flashed a toothy grin before leaving the Youth Centre and Kimberly turned to Jason who was grinning when he saw her expression. "Thank you! Thank you!"
He chuckled, "We're playing basketball at the park tomorrow, do you want to come along?"
From her smile, he knew the answer was yes.

'AFTERMATH'
Tumblr media
The chill of the space beside him alerted RJ that you were no longer sleeping beside him and had been gone for at least ten minutes. He sat up, looking around the room, the moon outside peeking in through the curtains granting enough light that he could see you weren't in your bedroom. He glanced at the clock as he got out of bed and quietly made his way to the living space, finding it was encased in darkness.
He looked around in confusion until he heard a noise from downstairs in the pizza parlour. A smile formed on his lips as he headed downstairs to the kitchen where he found you spreading sauce on the pizza dough you had made.
RJ chuckled, startling you, and you looked at your husband when he approached you. "Let me guess, midnight snack?"
"What? I'm eating for two now." You placed a hand on your bump, and RJ smiled as he stood behind you, placing his hands on your arms while kissing your cheek.
"Here." He took over the cooking, and you helped add toppings, looking over at him.
"Did I wake you?"
He shook his head, "The bed was cold."
He didn't have to elaborate for you to realize why he had started looking for you. It had been months since the incident, but the look in his eyes told you that it was still very much on his mind. RJ could never shake the fear that overcame him when he found you were gone. It took him back again and again and revisited him in his sleep. The night you were taken by Dai Shi, who stole your animal spirit to make himself stronger, haunted him every day since.
You frowned, observing your husband, whom you had met at the academy. You got married weeks after graduation and have been together ever since, and there was no greater test than helping him mentor three teenagers who could save the world.
You couldn't imagine how it must've been while you were gone. RJ had spoken about it after a nightmare, and you discussed his need to be closer to you once you returned. You knew that if the roles were reversed, you would've lost your mind with worry. And since your pregnancy, RJ was more protective than ever.
You approached the Purple Ranger, wrapping your arms around his waist, pressing a kiss to his shoulder after he placed the pizza in the oven. He smiled softly as he turned to you, and you rested your head on his chest as you stood in the lit kitchen, in his warm embrace.
"I'm sorry. I never thought - "
RJ shook his head, "I know. It seems silly now, months on, but I can't shake that feeling." He pressed a kiss to your head, meeting your gaze when you lifted your head to look up at him. "I thought I'd lost you. And I couldn't survive that." He placed a hand on your cheek, and you sent him a small smile.
"Do you remember what I told you at our wedding?"
"No matter what happens, we'll always have each other."
"Which means when - if - something happens to me, I'll haunt you forever."
RJ cracked a smile, and you smiled when he began to chuckle. He kissed you tenderly before walking to the oven to check on the cooking pizza. You placed your hand on your stomach in surprise, a smile forming on your lips.
"RJ," You called softly, gaining his attention.
He met your gaze, glancing at your hands. "What's wrong?"
"They're kicking." You told him.
He approached you, and you held his hand on your stomach. Moments later, he felt pressure against his hand, and he smiled brighter than you had seen in a while.
You met his gaze when he placed his hands on your cheeks and kissed you tenderly. "I love you."
"I love you too."
That night before time ticked by into the early hours of the morning, you headed upstairs and back to bed. RJ laid on his side while you sat with your back against the headboard, sharing the pizza you made as you added to the list of names you liked for both genders.
After the pizza was finished, RJ shifted until his head rested on your lap, and you smiled softly, combing your fingers through his hair, leaning over to turn off the lamp to allow your husband to succumb to sleep, knowing it didn't come easy to him lately.
While you still felt the void left by the absence of your animal spirit, it was nothing compared to the prospect of losing each other. And you were thankful that he and the Rangers had found you when Dai Shi went to extraordinary lengths to hide you away. He was growing stronger, but you knew the final confrontation between him and the Rangers was coming soon. And as you looked down at your husband you silently wished for him not to come to harm, and the Rangers.
Right now, you were still healing through the aftermath.

'TIGER SPIRITS'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
You leaned against the Red Ranger as he guided your arms, smiling when his breath tickled your cheek, listening as he passed on experience he had gained during battles, closing your eyes when he brought your body closer to his.
"You know, if you want me like this, all you had to do was say so."
Casey broke away, chuckling as he looked over at you, lowering his gaze to the ground. You grinned as you stepped closer, your footsteps silent due to your animal spirit, and he shook his head when he saw a smirk on your lips.
"You're supposed to be focused."
"I am. On you."
Casey held your gaze for a moment, laughter leaving his lips, as he glanced away. A squeal left your lips when he suddenly brought you to his chest, pinning you to the leafy ground. Your chest rose and fell as you stared up at him, the cub that became the master in a matter of months.
"Not focused enough."
You smirked, raising your eyebrows when he leaned down to kiss you, freeing your hands to place them on his jaw, closing your eyes as he deepened the kiss.
Casey remembered he was supposed to be teaching you, but the thought faded quickly as your noses brushed. "God, I've missed you."
"I missed you too." You murmured against his lips.
Casey buried his head in your neck and you ran a hand through his hair, a smile on your lips when he left kisses along your skin. Your tiger spirits had sought out each other while he was still a cub at the Academy, but Master Mao kept you separated, knowing it was the only way you could both advance during your training. Now that you had found each other again, there was no holding back and you savored every second together.
When Casey invited you to join him for training, you should have predicted it would end this way. His mouth captured yours, silencing your thoughts, the woodland drifting away into empty space as you kissed. RJ had mentioned it before to Casey who had brushed it off, claiming you were two good friends in a similar situation - before the Dai Shi threat began.
Tiger spirits were strong and always drew their counterparts, which explained how you and Casey always seemed to reconnect. Everything else faded away as your fingers unbuttoned his jacket. There were no expectations in the woodland, just two people, and two spirits connecting on a higher level, as you lost yourself in his kiss and each caress,
It was rare to have two tiger spirits in one area, and RJ knew it was due to the invisible force that brought them together. And understood why Master Mao kept you and Casey apart. It was because when you were together, your spirits made it appear as if nothing else mattered. And when facing Dai Shi, it was a mistake that could end a life.
But right now, in the sanctuary of the woodland Casey had brought you to, intending to teach you moves he had learned fighting against Dai Shi, that it became true.
The world faded away as you kissed, clothes falling around you as you lost yourselves in the moment. Tiger spirits were strong-willed and passionate, and when they found a pairing, it was for life.
It was always difficult to say goodbye, but you knew that you would only serve as a distraction to Casey's training and you had your own mentor to help you hone your skills, even if your heart resided with Casey Rhodes. It was always difficult to pull away from his kiss, making him promise to survive, so you could meet again, and live the future you had both dreamed of.
While Master Mao believed you were a distraction, RJ believed you reminded Casey what he was fighting for - a future. In the end, he was always certain of one thing. the two tigers would find each other. And it was proven when Casey sought you out after the final battle and you reunited, remaining side by side every since - even decades later.
The tiger spirits were fierce. Especially when they had something to lose. And when Casey left to fight against Dai Shi and his monsters, he knew exactly what he was fighting for - a future where all he saw was you.

'ONE IN A MILLION'

"And front kick! Flip! Double kick!"
You sighed as you lowered your arms, looking at the Blue Ranger, resting your hands on your hips. Theo turned to you when he realized you were no longer following his instructions to help you train.
"What's wrong?"
"We're in the middle of nowhere." You stated. "Honey, I love you, but when I pictured our time together - our limited time together - I hadn't imagined this."
Theo raised an eyebrow, "I have roommates."
"I can be quiet." You dragged an invisible zip across your lips and he tilted his head, chuckling at your expression.
"What? I could! Besides they'll be working in the parlour anyway."
Theo shook his head, "We've already started we might as well finish the -"
You expertly showcased the move and Theo's eyebrows raised. You ran a hand through your hair, keeping it away from your eyes as you sent the Blue Ranger a smirk. Theo knew what to expect from that smirk.
"We're in the middle of nowhere..."
He shook his head, chuckling, "At least I managed to teach you something - mm -" He was cut off when you kissed him, grasping his collar, pulling him closer.
After a few minutes, you pulled away to catch your breath, running your hands down his chest.
"You never keep quiet." He stated matter of factly, and you pushed his chest, a giggle leaving your lips. Theo countered, pulling you back into his embrace before you could step too far out of his reach and you sucked in a breath when his lips grazed yours. He combed the fallen strands from your ponytail behind your ear, whispering, "I've missed you."
"I know." You replied, earning a raised eyebrow. "What? I know I'm adorable."
Theo chuckled, placing a hand on your cheek, as he leaned in to press a kiss to your lips, deepening the kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
From the second you arrived at Jungle Karma, you both knew your time together was limited. You were needed at the academy, pushed to earn your mark, and your visit was fleeting. So you savored every second, enthralled with each other which reminded Lily of the simpler days back at the Academy.
His jaguar spirit was a match for your puma spirit, which challenged each other. It showed during classes, and when you arrived Lily explained to Casey, the complex relationship between you and Theo - as you each tried to compete against each other until one day she was sure you would have kissed during a sparring session in front of the entire class. Your chemistry was unmatched, and whenever she felt Theo becoming more single-minded, she contacted you, and he would receive a letter from you, reminding him that he was not fighting alone against Dai Shi She was certain you were the only reason he kept fighting, adapting, growing, to protect you from the warrior that was Dai Shi.
Theo was frustrated when you first arrived at the academy. You had lived most of your life purely through your animal spirit and when Master Mao found you he wanted to help you advance your skills, whilst living a normal life. Theo was jealous at first, as he quickly realized you were more in tune with your animal spirit than your predecessors, and you gained his envy. A truce was formed between you during class when you sparred and you were impressed by his discipline, and he was stunned by your ability to hone your animal spirit.
Now here you were, years later, still competitive but in a healthier light, proud of each other's achievements. Theo learned there was so much to learn from you, as you gained much knowledge from him. When he became the Blue Ranger, you weren't surprised and bid goodbye, parting with a necklace that referenced eternity.
Theo still wore the necklace that held a deep meaning. Your love was never-ending. He carried you with him every second of the day and you were always his first and last thought of the day, as he was yours.
Theo looked around the tree line before looking at you. "We better not get caught."
Your smirk grew, wanting to remind him of the time he spent in your quarters, sneaking off in the early hours of the morning to his own room, avoiding suspicion by the Masters when they called upon students to do a roll call.
However, you kept quiet, knowing Theo didn't need reminding of the one time Master Mao caught you leaving his room, mistaking his shirt for your own, and sentencing you both to cleaning duties for a month. Even if you argued he looked amused at the time.
The memory made you smile and Theo broke the kiss, looking down at you as you lay on the grass. "What?"
"I'll tell you later."
He shook his head, kissing you with a passion that caused you to forget everything else, as he intended, wanting to be the only thing you focused on. Your animal spirits were competitive by nature but Theo had long ago given up fighting, smirking as your Puma spirit submitted to his Jaguar spirit, his hands pinning your wrists above your head on the grass.
"Should I be concerned?" He murmured, lips grazing your ear.
"No." You whispered, "Reliving memories that's all."
He smirked down at you, an eyebrow raised as he quickly deduced which memories you were reliving. It had caused him great embarrassment in the past, but now he found the humour in it.
"You were always my greatest temptation."
You grinned, "Really?"
His kiss answered all your questions and erased all your doubts. Even after months apart, your love burned as strong as ever. And you knew as you laid your head on his chest in the wood, that it would always be this way. Your love was one in a million.

'THE RED RANGER'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
Jason searched the school for you while the other Rangers headed to face off against Rita's latest monster. You were heading down the stairs when he found you and you knew instantly from his expression of regret that another date was about to be cancelled. That made it four in a row.
You listened as he claimed to have another emergency, and promising to make it up to you, and as you watched the man you love lie, you felt your anger reach a boiling point and your heart shatter.
"Don't bother." You walked by him and Jason called out to you as you headed down the hallway, sighing when you ignored him. Alpha warned him that the others were struggling without him and he knew he had to choose, and in that split second he chose his friends, hoping he hadn't ruined his chances with you.
Little did he know that you had plans of your own. You followed him out of school to the park where the other Rangers were fighting. Your eyes widened when you saw him help the four Rangers defeat the Putties. You clutched your camera tightly, snapping pictures of the Rangers as they fought to defeat the Putties.
You had supported him during competitions so you knew when his mind was distracted and when two Putties advanced behind him, you called out to him, "Jason, look out!"
He turned, finding you standing with your camera. He took down the Putties and looked at where you stood frozen, "Run, Y/N! Run!"
You hesitated as you watched him take down another Putty and swallowed thickly when he promised to explain later, taking out his morpher. You knew from the look in his eyes that you would only serve as a distraction and the last thing you wanted was for him to get hurt. So you left, looking over your shoulder just in time to catch him morphing into the Red Ranger. You stumbled but kept on running. You had no destination in mind, however, when you realized it was best to stay away from your house, you headed to Ernie's and when he saw how frazzled you were, he brought you a shake on the house.
Almost an hour later Jason entered with his friends and you knew from their expression that they knew, you found out about their secret. Jason approached you, a tentative smile on his lips as he said, "I can explain everything, if you want me too."
You left Ernie's and walked around Angel Grove, having no particular destination in mind as he told you the story about how he and his four friends became Power Rangers and the secret they vowed to keep to Zordon. You listened intently, not asking questions and allowing him to speak freely.
You stopped walking when he took your hands, assuring you that from this moment forth he would always confide in you, never lie about 'emergencies' and you saw the fear in his eyes - his belief that you would reject him and end your relationship.
You closed your eyes, squeezing his hands as you met his gaze, "Just promise me one thing."
"Anything." He agreed instantly.
"Always come back to me."
Jason smiled, a weight lifted from his shoulders, his hands rising to your cheek, "I promise. I love you. And I will never lie to you again. From here on out, complete transparency."
You smiled softly, "I love you too."
He leaned in to kiss you passionately, wrapping his arms around your as he deepened the kiss, and you placed your hands on his cheeks, smiling against his lips.
That day you made an oath to always be truthful, honest, and always stand by one another no matter what the future had in store. Your love will always persevere.

'is this the end?'
Tumblr media

There was no telling when Rita would strike, no skywriting to warn the Rangers when she would send a monster to Angel Grove for them to fight. Kimberly took her duty as the Pink Ranger seriously, but she still felt guilty when she had to leave suddenly, unable to provide you with an explanation that didn't make it seem as if she was wigging out, or losing interest in you. She had never felt so strongly about anyone else before and feared that her excuses would create a divide between you due to how little time you spent together because of Rita.
You were a punctual person by nature, always on time or showing up early. So when you were late to meet Kimberly at Ernie's she feared that you had finally had enough of her running off unexpectedly. Your last date ended abruptly with her leaving the restaurant after you spent so long getting reservations, and she knew you were both disappointed and frustrated, reading your expression as she apologized before she left.
"He'll show up." Trini tried to provide her with some comfort but after nearly half an hour, Kimberly was losing hope.
"I don't know. I mean what if this is it, you know? Who could blame him? I can't remember the last time we had a date that wasn't interrupted by Rita or her monsters."
The group retreated from where Kimberly sat at the stools while Ernie made milkshakes for customers. As they discussed a way to cheer her up, the brunette sighed as she rested her head on her hand, looking at the blue placemat in front of her, not daring to check her watch.
"Hey," Tommy spoke up, ending the huddle, nodding to the doorway, "Look."
Trini turned, a smile forming on her lips when she saw you approaching Kimberly, seeing the flowers hidden behind your back. "Oh, I hope they work things out."
You tapped her shoulder and Kimberly turned as you revealed the flowers you had bought her. Her eyes widened in surprise, not expecting you to show up at all by this point. "My car broke down. I had to wait for the tow-truck and walked all the way here. Do you forgive me?" You pouted over the bouquet and she smiled brighter than you had ever seen.
Kimberly hopped off the stool and you opened your arms, returning the tight embrace, smiling against her shoulder. "I thought you weren't going to show up."
"And miss a second with you?" You pulled away, flashing her a dashing smile, "Never."
A blush formed on her cheeks as she accepted the bouquet of flowers you held out to her and you smiled when she thanked you, calling the selection beautiful.
You held out your arm, "Milady,"
She smiled as she looped her arm with yours, following you out of Ernie's. You both noticed her friends and you sent them a wave while Kimberly fawned over her flowers, making the guys chuckle and Trini grin. The Yellow Ranger knew that everything would work out between you the second you turned to smile down at the brunette.
"They really are perfect together, aren't they?" She whispered, more to herself than the others.
"Yeah, they are." Zack agreed.
Billy, Tommy, and Jason voiced their agreement, smiles lighting up their features as they watched you leave with Kimberly, each sending a silent wish for your date to go uninterrupted.

'REINFORCEMENTS'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
There were many words to describe Theo, but Casey believed three fit him best. Uptight, egotistical, and neat freak. After Lily, and his attempts to snap Theo out of his funk after Gekko managed to escape his clutches by scaling a building, the Blue Ranger was contemplative, refusing to share his thoughts with others, and lost his usual work ethic. Lily knew that there was only one person who could break through to Theo while he was like this: you.
You were surprised to hear that the Yellow Ranger had requested your assistance, only realizing that when you arrived, she had made the situation seem like life or death so you could leave the academy. Casey was shocked when Lily introduced you both. When the Red Ranger pictured Theo's love life, he imagined someone exactly like him, or non-existent. Yet here you were, the bubbly girl whose silver tongue had fended off Jarrod more than once.
"So," You hung up your jacket, turning to the two Rangers. "What happened?"
Between the two of them, they described their fight against Gekko. Theo had attempted to follow the monster up the side of the building but had fallen to the ground. Casey noticed the way your frown deepened at the thought of Theo being injured and rushed to assure you he was fine - aside from his bruised ego.
You sighed as you stood up from the staircase where you had been chatting, "Alright. Where is he?"
Lily led you downstairs to the restaurant while Casey remained in the kitchen and you looked at Theo who sat by the window, his head in his hands.
"I didn't know what else to do," Lily sighed.
You looked at Casey as you began to explain Theo's current turmoil, "Theo has always placed intense pressure on himself to be perfect at everything he does. And when he slips, even just a little, he, well, shuts down." You sent the two a smile, "Don't worry. He'll be fine." You headed towards the Blue Ranger, muttering, "I hope," when you knew she couldn't hear.
You sat across from him, smiling brightly, "When I pictured the base for the Power Rangers, I never considered a pizza parlor -"
"Go," He began, lifting his head to meet your gaze, and it broke your heart to see the defeat in his eyes. "Go away."
You weren't phased, nor upset by his reaction, even if it had been weeks since you had last seen each other. It was common throughout your relationship for Lily to call you when she noticed Theo losing confidence in his abilities, and it became somewhat of a joke between the three of you when she dubbed it 'calling for reinforcements'. In his despair, and self-loathing, Theo couldn't bring himself to be happy to see you, although beneath it all he was. He wanted you to be proud of him, for becoming the Blue Ranger, not to watch him question whether he belonged on the team.
"Casey and Lily told me what happened." You sighed when he rested his arms on the table, looking down, unable to meet your gaze. You reached out to place a hand on his arm, rubbing patterns with your thumb. "You've never been the type to give up. You kept going when others would have packed their bags." You squeezed his arm, and he finally met your gaze, "I've always admired your dedication. You always figured out how to solve a problem. And that's all this is a bump in the road. You'll solve it like you do with everything else."
Theo shook his head, and you held his hands across the table, "Look at me," His eyes met yours instantly, "I've known you since your first day as a Cub. I know what you can do when you put your mind to it. I've seen it. You were chosen for a reason, and it wasn't a mistake because there is no one more dedicated than you."
After a few moments the faintest of smiles formed on his lips, "I should've anticipated Lily would call for reinforcements." No longer wishing to dwell on the fight with Gekko, Theo asked, "How are you?"
You informed him of your training and he rested his elbows on the table, holding your hand with both of his, nodding along now and then. And you knew he needed the distraction - to break himself out of his internal torture.
Lily approached the table with Casey, "We've got trouble."
You sent Theo a smile, "I'll be here when you get back."
He mirrored the smile as he stood up. He placed his hands on the table, leaning down to kiss you tenderly, pulling away a few moments later. "Thank you."
"Anything for you, Blue."
His smile grew and you watched them leave, sighing as you looked around the crowded restaurant. Fran was rushed off her feet now that the three Rangers had run off, and you were quick to offer your assistance.
When the trio returned a while later, you were placing drinks from a tray on a table, sending the customers an award-winning smile before heading to the kitchen. You caught Theo's gaze as he tied an orange apron around his waist, flashing you a toothy smile that told you all you needed to know. The team was victorious.
You returned the smile, momentarily forgetting to take a table's order as you wrapped your arms around his neck, a notepad and a pen in your hands. He returned to work with a renewed vigor and, knowing you would be leaving soon, worked in harmony around you as you fulfilled orders.
You were drizzling flour on pizza dough when you bit the inside of your cheek, tossing a handful of flour towards him. Theo raised an eyebrow at you, "Really?"
You squealed when he tossed grated cheese in your direction, giggling as you picked up pepperoni, throwing it towards him as he hid behind a chopping board. Hearing the noise, Lily and Casey entered the kitchen to find it covered with ingredients, and the Red Ranger was stunned at Theo's relaxed attitude around you. The Blue Ranger placed a hand on your jaw, using his thumb to wipe sauce from your cheek, gazing at you with a smile on his lips.
And Casey understood why Lily had called you.
You were the only one who could break through Theo's shell, and you balanced each other out perfectly.

"I wish I could take away your pain."

When she didn't see you at school, Trini knew something was wrong. After school she called your house and your mother broke the news. Your grandfather, who had introduced you to martial arts, had passed away, and Trini immediately knew where to find you.
She entered the Youth Centre and found you teaching a karate class as you did several times a week, and you would never let the younger kids down, even while you were mourning. She approached you when the class ended and you sent her a small smile when she stood next to you while you bent down to pick up your water bottle.
"Hey," She began, "You weren't in school this morning. I called the house and your mom told me about your grandfather." She placed a hand on your arm, "Y/N, I'm so sorry. I know how close you were."
Your gaze lowered to the ground for a moment as you tried to contain your grief, meeting her gaze when you tilted your head up. "He was ill for such a long time. I just - " You shook your head, "I wasn't ready to say goodbye."
Trini felt her heartache for you as you cleared your throat, putting up walls that she wished to breakthrough, but in a crowded place was not the time.
"I should get going. I'll see you later." You walked away and she sighed as she watched you leave the Youth Centre.
Her friends approached her once they saw you leaving and Trini explained why you hadn't been at school that morning. They had met your grandfather twice in the year you had started dating Trini, and knew how highly you thought of him and how close you were - even joining you when you believed his teachings could benefit them against Rita and her monsters. It had led to Jason gaining the upper hand against Goldar, and the Red Ranger would never forget how wise your grandfather was. He was a respected martial artist and mentored at his dojo for over four decades. Wherever he went, he made an impact in the greatest of ways.
"I wish there was something we could do." Her eyes danced around her friends before she looked at the ground.
"I think the best thing you can do right now is be there for him," Tommy suggested. "Let him know he doesn't have to go through it alone,"
Trini sent him a grateful smile before setting off to find you. She started with the one place you were likely hiding out, a place you had only shared with her, a place you used to get away and be alone with your thoughts.
You heard her footsteps against the wood and looked up when she knelt behind you, placing her hands on your shoulders. You sighed, looking up at the sky as you held back your tears. Trini knew you better than anyone, it should have come as no surprise that she would find you.
She wrapped her arms around your shoulders, resting her chin on your shoulder. "I wish I could take away your pain." She murmured, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
You placed a hand over her arm, focusing your gaze on the water in front of you. "Having you here is enough."
Your grandfather was the first person in your family to meet Trini when he came to the Youth Centre to observe a class you were instructing, and while you were driving home, he told you that she was a great fit for you, and wished you both nothing but happiness - a rarity when it came to your family. Your grandfather was the one person who supported you in all your endeavors, encouraging you to further your martial arts while your parents believed it was a waste of time. He was the one person you felt about to talk to about everything and anything - until you met Trini Kwan.
Trini shifted to sit next to you, and you placed your arm around her, pressing your lips to her hair when she rested her head on your shoulder, closing your eyes briefly.
You began to tell her the story of where you had driven your grandfather home and how he sang her praises. Trini smiled as you spoke, hearing the emotion in your voice.
"He could see how important you are to me." You turned your head, meeting her gaze, "I'm sorry for trying to push you away. I can hear him yelling in my ear, reprimanding me for not confiding in you sooner."
She giggled, causing you to smile and you rested your head on hers, turning your gaze to the calm waves of the ocean. The gentle breeze gave her an idea and when you drove her home, parking outside, you agreed to meet her at the park.
When you arrived, Trini and her friends were standing around a picnic bench, and the Yellow Ranger greeted you with a smile.
"What is all this?" You glanced at the paper lantern she handed you. "Lanterns?"
"It's an Eastern tradition. Releasing lanterns is a symbolic gesture of release and hope for loved ones who have passed away." Trini explained.
"We all want to light a lantern in honor of your grandfather." Kimberly added.
As Billy began to explain the science behind it, the way the flame made the lantern float into the sky, everyone stood in a line, holding their lit lanterns.
You closed your eyes, thinking of the hopes you had for your grandfather, before releasing the lantern, opening your eyes to watch as it floated upwards. Six more followed and you observed them with a warm feeling in your chest.
You placed your arm around Trini, sending her a smile, "Thank you." She closed her eyes when you kissed her forehead, gazing at you with a smile on her lips before following your gaze, watching the lanterns light up the darkening sky.

'TEST DRIVE'

You leaned over the seat to pop the hood, and Billy propped the lid while you climbed out, closing the car door before standing next to him, placing your hands on your hips.
"What are we dealing with today, doctor?"
Billy turned his head, smiling down at you. You helped him so often with the car that you had bought overalls similar to his, in a different shade of blue, and the sight was adorable in his eyes.
"It appears to require routine adjustments. I'll know more when I strip it." You bit back a grin and he shook his head, raising his eyebrows. "I was referring to the car, not myself."
Immediately you pouted, eliciting a chuckle from him before taking your place by the toolbox. You had helped him achieve the vehicle's more unique aspects and remembered many of the tools when he asked for them, but sometimes, like today, you forgot.
"There are five wrenches." You held up a wrench and he shook his head. You took out another, and set the two down when he shook his head.
"Those are too small."
You closed your eyes, and Billy quickly moved the correct wrench near your hand, ensuring it was the wrench you chose. You grinned when he took it, tightening the bolts.
The other Rangers were watching a news report inside the garage while you and Billy worked outside. You faintly heard the Rangers being mentioned in the report and observed Billy as he worked on the car. If people knew who the Rangers were, they would assign Billy as the brains of the team, and they wouldn't be wrong, however, you knew how resilient he could be. He never gave up easily and while he was not the most confident of the group, he wasn't shy either and after watching his progress in Jason's classes, you knew he was a skilled martial artist. He was much more than his intellect.
He waved a hand in front of your eyes, and you blinked, focusing on his features that lit up because of the smile on his lips. "Earth, to Y/N. Where did you go just now?"
"Krypton."
Billy shook his head, kneeling beside you, "I will have to test the enhancements, but they should improve the overall functions. Do you want to go for a drive later?"
You nodded with a smile. "I'd love to." Your smile grew, a giggle leaving your lips when you saw the oil on his cheek. Picking up a rag, you attempted to clean his cheek, tilting his head up with a finger under his chin. "I think I'm making it worse. I'll go fetch some water."
You stood up, briefly resting a hand on his shoulder as you walked away, and Billy watched you head into the house, a smile on his lips. He continued to clean the oil off the tools he had used, and when you returned, he was closing the hood of the car.
He leaned against the car as you cleaned his cheek, a smile forming on his lips as he gazed at you while you focused on the task at hand. When you were satisfied, you stepped back with a smile, but before you could move too far, he caught your hand and brought you closer. Your hands instinctively rose to rest on the nape of his neck, your smile growing as his hands held your waist.
Your friends were forgotten as you leaned in, kissing tenderly, and when you pulled away moments later, they made their presence known. You blushed, burying your head in his chest as he chuckled, his cheeks darkening from the attention.
"Do you want to test the car now?" You asked quietly.
You hadn't spent a moment alone all day, and Billy knew taking the car for a test drive after his improvements was the greatest way to get some time alone. He nodded, and you tossed the blue rag next to the toolbox, following him into the car.
"Hey, where are you guys going?" Zack called out.
Billy rolled down his window, and you leaned over to answer, "We'll be back soon. Test drive."
As Billy drove off, you shuffled closer, smiling as you rested your head on his shoulder, admiring the clouds ahead, placing a hand on his chest as he drove. One hand steered the car while his free arm rested around your shoulders.
"The steering has improved." He remarked.
"Really? Maybe we should keep driving and find out. You know, in case you have to fight a monster in another country or something."
Billy knew it was an excuse for more alone time, and smiled as he looked down at you. "It could require further adjustments."
You lifted your head, returning his smile before pressing your lips to his tenderly, pulling away moments later to admire the view. There was nowhere he would rather be than with you.

'POWER COUPLE'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
There were many reasons Kimberly envied Trini's relationship. You always found time to communicate, if something upset you, you would discuss it instead of letting it fester. You always found time for each other, between the different clubs you joined, and dating a Ranger had it's own problems - it wasn't uncommon for a date to be interrupted by Rita's monsters but your relationship remained strong. And you always supported each other in everything you did.
When Trini was called forth by Miss Applebee to play her video project, you smiled and clapped your hands.
"Whoo!" You cheered, cupping your hands around your mouth.
You knew better than anyone how much effort she put into it as you aided her with recording footage.
"My video project is called Pollution Problems In Angel Grove."
You leaned back in your chair, fiddling with your pencil as you watched the video, meeting Trini's gaze and sending her a smile. When the short video ended, she removed the tape from the player and returned it to the cardboard sleeve.
"Very nice job, Trini." Miss Applebee praised, sending her a smile before addressing the class. "Pollution is a serious concern to our society."
"I couldn't agree more." Billy spoke up, "I am deeply concerned about the eco-logical ramifications of ozone depletion, acid rain, deforestation and the loss of our soils."
You nodded your head as he spoke, looking over at Kimberly when she agreed. "Yeah, you're right." She turned to Trini, "So what can we do to help beautify our city?"
Trini stepped forward, placing her hands on your desk, "I want to start a clean-up club. One day a week we can do some recycling, clean up nature trails or even count animals that are endangered." She stepped back, placing her palms together.
"Yeah!" Billy nodded.
"Count me in." Jason added.
"Sounds cool." Zack replied.
"Totally." Kimberly agreed.
Trini's gaze fell on you and you sent her a smile. "A chance to spend some time with you and help the planet? Sounds good." She mirrored your smile and you nudged your friend who was sitting next to you.
He quickly agreed to join and you grinned as you looked at Trini, your eyes following her as she took the seat next to you. She leaned over to your table, sending you a smile.
"I want to thank you for all your help." She began, "We make a really great team."
You mirrored her smile, "Yeah, we do."
Kimberly's eyes danced between you both. She never knew until that moment that a simple smile could convey so much love and admiration. You really were the power couple of Angel Grove who could do it all.

'THE END'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
Orion believed you had perished on Andresia with everyone else in the village. But you had survived, while everyone and everything you knew was destroyed. You snuck away on one of the Armada ships, disposed of the pilot, and traveled alone, listening through the Comm Links, hearing the Emperor's orders to attack a distant planet called Earth.
The Rangers were alerted of an Armada ship flying over the city and rushed off to investigate. When the door opened, the Rangers were suited, and prepared for a fight, but the second you stumbled out, squinting as you looked around before your eyes landed on the team, Orion removed his suit.
"Y/N?"
Your lips curved upwards when you saw him, tears in your eyes. "Orion?" You dashed toward him and he jogged to meet you, laughing as he wrapped his arms around your waist, lifting you off the ground, burying his head in your shoulder.
He set you down moments later, his eyes wide with disbelief. "I thought you had been -" He couldn't bring himself to say the word 'killed' the wounds still too fresh. He had lost his family, and he believed he had lost you too.
You shook your head, "My father took me away from the village. I stowed away on an Armada ship." You nodded to the ship you had arrived in. "He didn't make it."
Orion rubbed your arms soothingly, his features overtaken with grief, and the sympathy he felt, and you knew it was because for so long he had believed he was the sole survivor, just as you did.
"Orion?"
He turned to the group of Rangers who removed their suits, approaching the two of you. Orion stood next to you, his arm instinctively going around your waist as he introduced you to his team.
You realized that he was one-sixth of the Rangers you had heard the Emperor mention often on the Comm Links and turned your head to look up at him, both concern and pride in your eyes. He was seeking vengeance for the loss of your home planet, and knowing Orion, and his determination to succeed in whatever he set his mind to, he would win.
Orion helped you adjust to life on Earth for several weeks and you became good friends with the other Rangers. Emma and Gia took you clothes shopping, and found a similar jacket to the one Orion always wore.
It was clear to see that there was something more than friendship between you both, the way you gazed at each other, the smiles you saved just for one another, and the way you were always touching whether it was holding hands or an arm around each other.
You were sad to leave the other Rangers, less so than Orion who had known them longer, but after a deep discussion about whether it was possible for others to have survived the attack on your planet, you planned to leave Earth to find out.
The trip was long, and you had yet to arrive when you tuned into the Comm Links, hearing the second wave of the invasion of Earth being broadcasted. Your body tensed as you looked at Orion fearfully.
"Oh, no."
"I guess this is it."
You sent him a weak smile, sharing his worries about the Power Rangers. You observed him as he plotted the course heading for Earth, feeling a lump form in your throat. You couldn't help him in this fight, but you could make sure the civilians made it to safety, and you feared that the vengeance you both sought would get him killed.
Orion nodded, swallowing thickly. He adjusted the controls, and you looked out the window as the ship took off through space, the stars becoming blurry. You closed your eyes, holding back your tears. You had already lost him once. You couldn't survive it again.
You felt his hand hold yours and lowered your gaze as you intertwined your fingers with his. You met his gaze, receiving a smile that revealed his internal battle. He wanted to drop you off safely away from the Armada, but you had made a promise to each other to always stay together, right until the end.
"I'm really glad that we found each other again."
He squeezed your hand, a small smile on his lips. "Me too."
You knew the chaos and carnage the Armada could unleash during an invasion and hoped that when you returned to Earth, the Rangers were still fighting the good fight, waiting for you to help finish the Armada once and for all.
Unlike yourself, Orion never accomplished a smooth landing, and you held onto the chair tightly as the ship crashed towards Earth. You closed your eyes, taking deep breath, looking at Orion when he turned to you.
"Are you okay?"
"Next time, I drive."
Orion chuckled, taking your hands as you left the ship. The door was jammed and he slammed his shoulder upward, breaking the lock. He climbed out first and reached for your hand through the smoke, helping you out of the ship.
You looked around, a deep frown forming on your lips at the destroyed buildings surrounding you. Orion's expression was equally grim as he took in the tall buildings that had been reduced to rubble.
"Orion!"
You turned to find the Rangers running towards you both. "I really need to learn how to land this thing." Orion smiled toothily as Gia and Emma hugged you.
"At least you landed on the right planet." You sent him a smile, eliciting a chuckle from the Silver Ranger as he placed his arm around you, bringing you closer to his side.
The reunion was short as Gosei announced that Borgs were sighted close by and you knew this was the beginning of the end. Orion turned to you, his expression serious as he placed a hand on your cheek.
"I'll come find you when it's over." He promised.
You smiled softly, resting your hands on his chest, "Go finish this once and for all."
You leaned on your toes, placing a hand on his cheek as you kissed him tenderly. After a few moments you pulled away, and Orion rested his forehead against yours, slowly opening his eyes.
"I love you." It was the one thing he regretted never telling you before. You had been friends, teetering on the edge of romance when the Armada descended on Andresia and Orion never wasted another second, confessing how he felt about you, knowing he had almost lost the chance to.
"I love you too." You stepped away, sending the group a smile. "Good luck!"
You watched the group run off, meeting Orion's gaze when he stopped to look back briefly and sent him a smile. When he disappeared from view, you began to search for civilians that were near the fight and ensured they made it to safety.
You looked up at the Rangers, observing Orion as he held his staff behind his head, resting on his shoulders. With a silent prayer for his and the team, safety, you followed the civilians, helping those who were injured.
You were carrying wood, placing it in barrels to keep the civilians warm when Orion returned. You dusted your hands off, turning when he called out to you.
"We did it!" He grinned. "They're gone."
You covered your mouth with your hands, tears pricking your eyes, and you rushed towards him. Orion grinned as he picked you up, spinning around as you both laughed before setting you down again. He tilted your chin up, leaning down to kiss you passionately.
You never thought you'd live to see the Armada defeated, yet here you were, reunited with the boy you had been in love with since you were younger, alive and living off the adrenaline after a battle that became legendary.

'THE INVASION'
Tumblr media

Orion was traveling in the Armada ship he had stolen when he tuned into the Comm Links, hearing the General announce the invasion of Earth.
"Second wave advance. We will crush the Rangers' spirits and then crush them completely. So that this planet will be ours. Just like the rest."
He immediately set the course for Earth, hoping he would make it on time. His home planet had been decimated by the fleet, and he refused to stand by and watch another planet meet the same fate.
He crashed close to where the Rangers were recuperating and when he climbs out of the smoking ship, his eyes scan the group, his relieved smile faltering when he didn't see you standing with them.
"Guys!"
"Orion!"
He climbed down the rubble and put his arms around Gia and Emma, relieved that everyone didn't appear to be seriously injured. He looked at Troy, "Where is Y/N?"
"She went to find some more wood to keep the fires burning." Emma sent him a reassuring smile. "She's okay."
Orion exhaled in relief, deciding to find you in the melancholy crowd that sought shelter from the Armada. A short while later, he heard someone calling for help and followed the sound, feeling a weight lift from his shoulders when he saw you lifting rubble out of the way to free a father and his son.
He jogged over to help, and you met his gaze, a smile lighting up your features as you both lifted heavy cement out of the way. The father thanked you, before leaving to find his wife.
"A-Are you hurt?" He asked, his eyes scanning you for obvious signs of injury.
"No, I'm fine." You assured him, stepping forward with a smile. "I'm so glad you're here." You wrapped your arms around his neck, and Orion returned the embrace, placing his arms around your waist. Tears pricked his eyes as he finally felt able to breathe, closing his eyes. He rested his chin on your shoulder.
"When I heard the Emperor through the Comm-Link I thought -" He swallowed the lump in his throat, pulling away to meet your gaze, a hand rising to your cheek "I couldn't lose you too."
With teary eyes, you leaned up to kiss him tenderly and after a few moments, you pulled away, closing your eyes when he rested his forehead on yours.
"Come on, let's find the others." You placed your arm around his back, clutching his jacket, and his arm settled on your shoulders, keeping you close to his side as you walked.
You took a seat next to Troy as he spoke, trying to rally the team for one final battle that would require every slither of strength you had left. "Tomorrow morning we will be there for them. We will stand tall, and we will fight. And we will win."
You looked at Orion, sharing a smile as you held hands. "We've come this far," Your eyes danced around the group, "We might as well finish it."

'MISSING'

The building was destroyed, the cement was now rubble around the iron posts that had supported the roof that was now gone. Jake looked around at the fires that were burning, groaning as he pushed himself to his feet, holding his side as he slowly turned, taking in the destruction.
He began to walk around, searching for someone, anyone, and he found Noah a few feet away, his legs trapped beneath an iron beam. "Noah!" He rushed over to lift the beam, groaning as he struggled for a moment, managing to hold it long enough for Noah to move aside.
He dropped the beam, his eyes scanning his friend for injuries before the two took in their surroundings. "Have you seen Y/N?"
Noah reluctantly shook his head. "I was next to Troy, he should be here somewhere."
They set off to search for their leader, and a short while alter came across Gia and Emma walking with Troy. Jake was relieved no one seemed to be seriously wounded, but he immediately noticed your absence.
"Have you seen her?" Gia asked.
Jake shook his head, swallowing his fears as his eyes darted around. "I'm going to keep looking."
"Let's split up and meet back here. We'll cover more ground," Emma suggested.
Noah followed Troy while Emma and Gia headed in a different direction and Jake went further away, trying to bury the dread creeping up his chest.
His voice grew hoarse from calling your name and Jake walked through the chaos, feeling his hopes of finding you dwindling as time ticked away.
He took out his communicator, closing his eyes as he spoke, "Y/N, come in." He looked at the night sky with tears in his eyes, "Y/N, if you can hear this, talk to me."
He lowered his head when there was no response and dropped his hand. He turned, his eyes taking in the people sheltering around him, fires burning in barrels to keep everyone warm.
He returned to meet with the team and his final hopes that you were okay, that you weren't out there missing, your condition unknown, evaporated when he met Gia's gaze.
The blonde shook her head, tears in her eyes, and Jake lowered himself onto the cement block next to Noah, resting his elbows on his knees, lifting his gaze to stare into the fire.
"Where are you?" He whispered into the flames.

'WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS'

The flames lit up his features as he stared at the hypnotic colours, the wood crackling in the barrel, providing warmth to the downhearted group. You approached your boyfriend who had moved away minutes ago, lost in his thoughts, and while you believed he needed space, you wanted him to remember he wasn't alone.
Troy turned his head when you looped your arm with his as he stood with his hands in his pockets. You rested your head on his shoulder, and his chest felt a little lighter, although he didn't have the strength to smile knowing the danger you were in.
Troy knew you were capable of defending yourself, having trained with you before and after you started dating. He had seen firsthand how you harnessed your Ranger power in battle, and your dedication drew him to you.
The long-awaited battle was closer than ever, and you knew that it would be the hardest yet. But right here, right now, you both needed a distraction.
"I think I'd like to travel." You began quietly, looking into the flames. "I don't know where yet, but I think I'd like to travel then pursue a degree."
Troy averted his gaze from the flames, "Around the country or abroad?"
"Both." You told him, meeting his gaze, a small smile forming on your lips. "I'd like to learn how to make fro-yo."
Troy's lips quirked at the reference to your first date and your love for frozen yogurt. "We could go to Italy. Learn the cuisine."
You smiled as he took your hand and rested your head on his shoulder. "I'd like that."
Troy rested his head on yours, and you placed your free hand on his arm as you planned your future because right here, right now, you had to believe there would be one if you were to succeed.

'ALWAYS'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
The clouds were barely visible due to the ships covering the skies, and your mind wandered to your son and daughter waiting at home with Tommy's parents. You hadn't mentioned leaving to fight to save the planet, not wanting to trouble your son who was old enough to understand while your newborn daughter was too young. So you told him you were going away for a few days to see old friends. Which wasn't a complete lie as you were reunited with your high school friends who had became life long friends.
You felt a jacket being placed over your shoulders and closed your eyes when you smelt the familiar cologne your husband wore. You looked at Tommy when he stood beside you, sending you a smile. You returned it weakly as you thought of your newborn. Wondering if this was the battle that took you away from your family. Although you knew Tommy would never let you out of his sight, all bets were off in a battle of this scale, especially when it had been so long since you had been an active Ranger.
Tommy knew your mind was still on the little boy he had rescued from the red car that was tipping backward off the bridge, and it made you think of your own children waiting at home for their parents' return.
Seeing the tears in your eyes, your husband brought you to his chest, "Come here."
You wrapped your arms around his waist, looking into the fire as he held you, feeling his lips against your head.
"I know you are worried. But you don't have to be." He reassured you. "Everything is going to be fine."
You lifted your head to meet his gaze, wondering how he was so confident.
"You still have a wicked kick." He added with a smile.
Your lips tugged upwards, and Tommy kissed your forehead, holding you close when you laid your head on his chest. His eyes drifted to the fire, his smile faltering slightly, displaying his own fears. He would do everything in his power to ensure your safety. Even at the cost of his own.
"I got your back."
You smiled when he kissed your cheek, whispering in your ear, "Always."

'ALL I SEE IS YOU'

When Ernie mentioned that the Youth Centre would be hosting dance classes, you joined with your friends and felt the effects of the energizing dances during your second week. It was fun, upbeat, and a great way to exercise. Today, however, you left the class early to join Billy and his friends, and Billy stood up, gesturing for you to sit on his chair to rest, standing next to you, sipping his drink, as you listened to the group as they detailed their latest battle against Rita and her monsters.
You looked over at the dance class you should have been attending, looking up at Billy with a smile forming on your lips. "Do you still have some energy left for a dance?"
Billy shook his head, although his eyes showed his weakness when it came to your smile, as he quickly began to cave. You stood up, and he set his glass down, allowing you to lead him towards the dance class.
You quickly fell into rhythm with the group, but Billy struggled to keep up, looking around to find he was out of sync, arms flailing as he tried to catch up. You shook your head and stepped towards him, taking his hands. Your smile made the world around him become silent as he mirrored it.
You held hands, fingers laced, as you led your own routine and Billy chuckled when you twirled under his arm. When you were together the world around you disappeared, and all you could see was Billy Cranston.
Billy pulled you towards his chest and you placed a chaste kiss on his lips, smiling as you pulled away.
"They're really great together." Kimberly comments.
The rest of the group couldn't disagree. Billy wasn't as confident as you were, but when you were together, he forgot about everything else and loved in the moment. Kimberly wished she had a camera to capture the moment you laughed together. She would always remember it, even years later. It showed the depth of your love and how powerful it was.

'HEIGHTS'

After helping Billy fight against the putties on the rocky hillside Trini became determined to climb the rope at the Youth Centre. You were at home when she called, asking you to meet her there, and knew from her voice that she was nervous about conquering her fear of heights.
Trini was sitting chatting to Ernie when you arrived and you both headed to the rope. You heard her exhale and put your hands on her arms, rubbing gentle patterns with your thumbs. "You've got this. I'll be right here ready to catch you."
She placed a hand over yours before approaching the rope. She took a deep breath before beginning to pull herself higher up the rope. When the rope began to swing, she tightened her grip and looked down at you, seeing the smile on your lips.
"I've got you. Don't worry. Just keep looking up."
Jason, Kimberly, Billy, and Zack arrived, the latter keeping his hands behind his back as everyone watched Trini climb higher. When she reached the top, you grinned as the others cheered.
"You did it!"
In her excitement Trini loosened her grip, slipping down slightly and she quickly clutched the rope, looking down and immediately regretting it.
"It's alright, climb on down." You reassured her.
Trini shook her head, closing her eyes until she heard you say, "I've got you. I promise I won't let you fall."
She took a deep breath, nodding, before slowly beginning to descended the rope. When your hand reached her thigh, you grinned as she let go and held her to your chest, spinning her around before setting her feet on the ground.
"I told you, you could do it!"
"Yeah, that was great climbing." Kimberly smiled.
Trini smiled as she stared up at you for a moment before turning to her friends, her eyes widening when Zack jumped forward wearing a Halloween mask, and you watched as she shrieked, climbing the rope in less than a minute. Your eyebrows raised in surprise and amusement which you tried to hide when she looked down at you all from the top.
"Yeah, it really looks like you've overcome your fear of heights."
He took the mask off, chuckling as he waved it around. You suppressed the smile on your lips as Trini shook her head, rolling her eyes to the ceiling before she began to climb down, much more confidently this time. You rested your hands on her waist as she dropped the remaining distance to the ground.
She turned to meet your gaze, "I saw you smiling."
A chuckle left your lips, and you cleared your throat trying to disguise it, but failing to do so. "You climbed the rope really fast, it has to break some kind of record."
She attempted to maintain an annoyed expression but a smile formed on her lips, and you kissed her forehead. "I'm proud of you for conquering your fear of heights."
"Thank you."
