Finally, in one of the photos I noticed that in the background there is a footbridge that I saw a photo of a similar footbridge while searching on a history of Wey Navigation river on the UK National Trust page and fortunately the previous mentioned facebook page knew where it was, WAHOO! :))

THE GOOD OMENS REFERENCE LIBRARY
Tumblr media
You may know that sometimes it can be a real pain to search for a specific reference from Good Omens, like a detail from Aziraphale's costume, Crowley's expression in one particular episode, a piece of furniture in the bookshop...
So for that, I decides to create a library with everything Good Omens artists may need in different folders.
That may be :
>> Their face profile, their body types, Crowley as an angel, every time period costumes, Soho street and floor map, the bookshop outside and inside, the bentley in different angles, their different hair style, hands details, alpha century nasa pics, Aziraphale's ring or Crowley's tattoo, Beelzebub from s1 or s2 ECT......
But also :
>> Face features and body studies with notes made by me
+ a free morpho and anatomy book in pdf from this Tumblr post :
So obviously this is going to be a big work and I need your help to build this library !
How ? You can join this discord server I've made.
Everything will be separated in different # channels
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you have a great screenshot of Aziraphale's hands for instance, you can send it in the appropriate channel.
I will be sorting them and put them all in the Google Drive I'm working on with different folders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In time, when enough material will be gathered, I hope this could become a Website on which everyone can have access ! (I'm looking for someone that knows how to do that btw)
So if you have a lot of stuffs in your gallery and are willing to help, but also if you're an artist and looking for specific references right now, you may join the discord !
Please be sure to check the # informations and # rules when you arrive !
See you there 🫶🏻

Map Of Whickber Street (Good Omens Soho around the bookshop)
Tumblr media
I had a lot of fun watching the entire series again and working out where all the shops were in relation to one another. Some of these are mentioned in canon, some are just shown. I've taken some liberties with scale and the like. It wasn't clear which of these streets is Whickber Street, but I suppose there must be some mystery left in the world.
I'm adding some photo references and some more information about the various shops below the cut. If you can make out any more names, I'd love to know.
It's possible the deli is also part of Francesco's as they're both Italian, but there is a front door by the awning that could lead to the restaurant (not an unusual set up for Soho). Francesco's awning is the victim of Crowley's rainstorm.
Tumblr media
Between Francesco's and Give Me Coffee is a shop selling formal menswear that I couldn't make out the name of.
Tumblr media
Next to that is the coffee shop, Arnold's (the musical instruments shop), Marguerite's (the French restaurant), and newsagency (the news agents). We get a lovely shot of them from the upstairs of the bookshop (newsagents just barely visible).
Tumblr media
Opposite them, we obviously have the bookshop itself and down from that, the record shop (which is called The Small Back Room, presumably in reference to having started at the back of Aziraphale's bookshop). The record shop is the orange shop you can see below. (There's also a clearer view of the newsagents).
Tumblr media
The shop one down from the record shop is currently a question mark, but it does have a very bold colour scheme, and at one point we are a candelabra and a piece of fabric in the window display. I can't make out the name of this one either.
Tumblr media
Opposite the bookshop we have the pub, the Dirty Donkey, whose front door is also the lift to heaven when summoned. Next to the pub is the doorway that leads you to the brothel (I picked the colour on the map from the new model friendly hands sign on the door), and next to that is Will Goldstone's Magic Shop. The magic shop, bookshop and the pub can also be seen in 1941 London flashbacks. Opposite the magic shop and next to the bookshop is another unknown shop. My gut says it sells lighting or maybe more general electrics, but I couldn't get a good enough shot to really see it.
Tumblr media
At the end of this street we can see the Lucky Snake which I believe is a Chinese Restaurant, and just to the left we can glimpse a yellow shop, that I suspect is the herbalist that we see mentioned on Aziraphale's list of local businesses. Soho and Chinatown are geographical neighbours, and it's not uncommon to see Chinese herbalist or health shops in Soho. The red lanterns from the Lucky Snake continue down over the yellow shop, which is what gave me the impression it might be the herbalist.
Directly across the crossroads from the bookshop we have a fruit and vegetable market, that has a flower stand on the corner. That's where the tomatoes roll from when Gabe is walking through naked. (The veggies are obscured in the shot below, but we do see them in general)
Tumblr media
If we follow the road between the flower market and the newsagents, I've extrapolated that the stage entrance to The Windmill (the theatre that we see in 1941) is there. We get a moderately clear view of it during the flashback, and the Windmill is a real place (to my knowledge it's somewhere between a burlesque club and a strip club these days), so I figured it would still be standing here too. We get the briefest of glimpses of the stage door still standing in modern London.
Tumblr media
If you care for real world geography, then The Windmill's main entrance is on Great Windmill Street, right off Shaftesbury Avenue, on the corner of Archer Street.
I could not for the life of me find Brown's World of Carpets anywhere. Maybe he's not even actually a local business. He seems the type to fake it.
Here's a view of the area from heaven.

My murder board
Updated 4/22/24
I'll add links as I can, but here's what I've got so far on the Good Omens season 2 puzzle/game. I feel it's important to note that I think we've been given all the puzzle pieces and a bunch of helpful hints besides.
The continuity errors:
Crowley's hair (POV thing)
Crowley's sideburns (POV)
The Bentley, "our car" but then it is Our Car in 1941 also -- WTF (There is a line in the book about someone being powerful enough to make something change and then make it so the change always was that way, but damned if I can recall the line or context now. Need to re-read AND re-watch! Found it! It's when Crowley first meets Adam after he's come into his powers -- he reads Crowley's mind and history like it's a book and this is the impression it leaves Crowley with. Adam's power is very similar to how the Book of Life is described in the show. Curiouser and curiouser!) (POV!)
Eccles cakes when Crowley leaves the shop, it's still morning, the continuity of time is messing with me. When they get the eccles cakes, it's light out. When Crowley leaves, it's dark out. He throws a lightning temper tantrum. He comes back after 9 by the clock in the shop. I still think it's not unreasonable to assume Aziraphale simply tidied away the eccles cakes in that time. Nina would have liked her plate back, after all. But all of this begs another question: 4a. Why is it around 11:30 when Aziraphale leaves Maggie's shop with the record and says he knows what he'll be doing for 21 minutes, but after 4 pm when Gabriel shows up? What happened for those 4+ hours? See 6. Clocks are wrong. Time is wrong!! (4.b the eccles cakes are prominent in at least one promo poster. Even if they don't disappear, do they mean something else??)
Portal rug it's a faded rug right up until the ball, when it becomes a thick red rug, then it's back to faded once the ball is tidied away. It just got made pretty for the ball, then changed back. The change is a nothingburger.
Clocks are wrong -- all over the damn place!!
Cross on Gabriel's statue -- appears to disappear. (POV)
Honolulu roast sign -- appears out of nowhere. (POV)
Title/location cards -- but there are some spots where the S1 title cards are used, what's going on there? (POV clues? -- this needs a closer look)
Drawing of Gabriel -- the one Aziraphale draws in the shop is NOT the one he shows the pub owner in Edinburgh. Why? (POV)
Wet roads/series poster -- what is up with all the rain??
Lights at Marguerites -- on again, off again. (POV? Or is it just when she's closed and open? It's a cafe, after all, they won't be open in the morning.)
Aziraphale's chair position in the Final Fifteen
1941 photo, Crowely's hand
Repeating extras -- not just repeating, but acting oddly -- walking back and forth, touching things, not eating, dressed the same every single day, etc. Do the people on the street in Edinburgh behave the same way?? (POV?)
Resurrectionist sign at the pub -- one with a scalpel, one with a butcher's knife. And it makes me think -- was Mr. Dalrymple a surgeon and a scientist with a scalpel, or a butcher with a cleaver? (POV. Wait, Aziraphale is the only MC there -- whose POVs would we be seeing?? Crowley's. He calls to tell Crowley what he found, what we're seeing is Crowley's idea of what happened.)
Store front signs -- appear and disappear. (POV)
Whickber street as seen from Heaven vs. on location -- the one Saraqael looks at in Heaven is the Google Maps picture of SoHo from 2019 with the book shop added in. It's not even from 2023! There is a building being torn down in it. In person on the show, it's different -- and the building is long gone in actual Google Maps 2023. (I think Saraqael is trying to hide the big miracle. She's showing the arc angels the book shop when it got reset by Adam in 2019.)
When Shax talks to Crowley and he takes off driving. When she appears, he is parked further up the street than when he leaves. Noticeably so. (POV? Or scenes out of order and this is a different time than it looks like?)
Edinburgh castle -- when Aziraphale arrives in Edinburgh, the castle is behind him. When the camera switches angles to behind him, Edinburgh castle is in front of him. The street he is on (streets, actually) are real streets. The castle was put in the first shot deliberately, but exists for real in the second shot. (POV)
Edinburgh streets -- when Aziraphale arrives in Edinburgh, the street he parks on is cobblestone. When the camera switches to behind him, the street is paved. (POV)
Weird sounds of all kinds?? (POV? Some of them yes.)
Crowley's sunglasses. Could this be explained by POV switches? If so, why do they change halfway through and then stay that way?
Questions about things the characters do:
Where did Crowley go during the Job flashback? And why was he wearing his spy turtleneck? (To meet up with Saraqael, perhaps? Seeing as Shax interrupted their meeting earlier that day?)
Where else did Aziraphale go in Edinburgh? And why did he go to the graveyard?
What did Gabriel need to bring to Aziraphale? What happened to it? (God's voice? A message from god? The Book of Life?)
Why does Micheal do the magician's "nothing in the box" display with the matchbox? It's a very specific action. Something's in that up with that damn matchbox. We're being asked to look at it, while something else happens that we're missing. And someone noticed that her nails are in terrible shape when she does it, but our eyes are on the matchbox.
What else did the Metatron say to Aziraphale? (Anything? Are we getting the whole, accurate story? Most of it? Any of it?)
How long was Crowley in Heaven, and what happened while he was there? (Did he sneak around and steal something? Did they harm him? He's acting a bit weird when he comes back.)
What happened to Aziraphale's briefcase? The one he took to Edinburgh. Where he did who knows what. (Is that a POV thing??)
What, if anything, is wrong with Crowley's memory? (Or is he just dissing Furfur and Saraqael?) (OR! Given the Gabriel removed HIS OWN MEMORY AND PUT IT IN THE FLY, so apparently angels ((AND demons??)) can affect their own memories, did Crowley deliberately do something to himself to get rid of unwanted memories??? He seems pretty untroubled by not remembering Furfur or Saraqael or why they made gravity -- almost as if he doesn't care the memories are gone. Okay, maybe he's gotten rid of some memories himself, but then WHY??) This could be a big old nothingburger. Or is he dissing Furfur and offering plausible deniability that he's met with Saraqael before -- like, when he was wearing his spy turtle neck??
What is Shax's mission? She says she's Crowley's replacement, but then she asks for "what she needs" from Crowley on the bench. Huh? What does she need?
How does Crowley know about hand washing in the Resurrectionists minisode? (This strikes different than the "lead ballon" remark on the wall. It's hard to say if Crowley knows about lead balloons, or if they're speaking an angelic language and it's being translated for us and the translator has a sense of humor or is trying to convey Crowley's sense of humor. The hand washing is actual, concrete, specific knowledge of the future.) Ah, I just re-read the book, where he mentions helicopters to DaVinci, and also Neil said this. It's something Crowley can do. He's a demon, he knows things.
What is going on with Maggie? I don't think she's a demon, but there is something up with her. (Also, one of the men in the graveyard in Edinburgh has a tattoo that says "no regerts." That's a real tattoo that circulates around the internet every once in a while -- I think it's a subtle reminder that humans aren't necessarily great at spelling, either.) But she has a Mason symbol on her necklace, and I still think the Masons are significant somehow; Aziraphale can't miracle-influence her; Aziraphale expects her to feel the arc angels arriving.
Why does Gabriel speak with god's voice? (Was that what he needed to bring? That message? But he says he needs to give Aziraphale something, and both times he speaks in god's voice, it's to Crowley. Hmm. IS that God's voice? It's a woman, but who is it?)
How did the pub owner recognize Gabriel's picture so fast? He says himself, "Look pal, I see a lot of people -- oh, yeah, I remember him!" ?? Was it just because Gabriel was weird at him?
Why is Crowley throwing books? It gives us a laugh, but is there a reason for it? He even seems confused as to why he's carrying them right before he does. (This is a POV thing -- the lens is "Aziraphale's" lens, so I think we're seeing Crowley tell Aziraphale what happened while Aziraphale was gone, and how Aziraphale imagines it would go.)
Why is Saraqael the only angel to react with fear before anyone else recognizes the Metatron? (Is it because she's been working WITH Gabriel, Beelzebub, AND Crowley and Aziraphale to thwart the second attempt at ending the world? Neil says he had some secret things for Sandalphon to do, but the actor wasn't available, so Saraqael does some of those things instead . . .)
Aziraphale gently laughs at Muriel's Inspector Constable persona, but then IMMEDIATELY adopts a just as over-the-top reporter persona. Is he doing it deliberately, or is he that un-self-aware? If he's doing it deliberately, why? Who's he trying to convince he's not that savvy? The pub owner? Anyone who might be spying? US?? Is that a POV thing? And if so, whose?? (AHA! I think this is Aziraphale telling Crowley what happened, and Crowley picturing Aziraphale being adorable in his disguise. Aziraphale is not that silly actually, but probably not as slick as he wants to think.)
Why the heck did Maggie and Nina go talk to Crowley while the Metatron was talking to Aziraphale? What they had to say wasn't important enough to leave Nina's shop during a rush, and I definitely don't think they derailed Crowley from what he needed to say to Aziraphale, though it might look at first as if they did. So what was that about?
When Shax stops Aziraphale for a ride, he says, "Oh, I really need to get to --" and then is cut off. He really needs to get to where? It's an easy assumption to think he means the book shop, or London. But is that all he means? Or was he on his way somewhere else? And if it was just the book shop, what does he mean he's late? Late for what? And that lens is still Crowley's lens -- Aziraphale is relating the story to Crowley. Crowley also knows where Aziraphale was going besides Edinburgh.
Crowley can tell something is wrong. Something. What?
Good God, this questions list just keeps getting longer. Why would the Metatron allow Beelzebub and Gabriel to leave, after trying to stop Armageddon 2.0, but come after Crowley and Aziraphale like that? Just because of the big miracle? (Which I'm not sure they did.)
Why does Crowley say "Oh, God," right before his confession in the final fifteen? To let Aziraphale know that he understands what Aziraphale is saying? That God (or the Voice) is there? Seems possible.
Why didn't Gabriel come down the lift in the Dirty Donkey? He also says he had to carry that box for sooo long. Where was he wandering around?
When Crowley leaves Heaven, he tells Saraqael and Muriel to come, too. But in the elevator, Michael and Uriel are there! When the fuck did they show up??
The whole time Aziraphale is in Maggie's shop asking about Every Day, he is looking out the windows and is VERY nervous. Is he just concerned about leaving Gabriel on his own, or is he nervous about something specific? He does react to the car horn outside as others have noted, but he is already jumpy and checking the windows repeatedly, the car horn isn't anything particular, he's just already fixated on the windows.
Why does Beelzebub tell Shax to attack the bookstore? Aren't they worried about Gabriel being harmed? And they know Hell is understaffed. Maybe that's why they command it? Because they know Shax won't be able to get the demons?
Questions about the world:
What about the Masons? It's such a specific thing for the pub owner to bring up, what is the meaning of it? And Maggie has a Mason symbol on her necklace. Did the Masons carve the statue of Gabriel? When did they see him?
The only narration we hear in the entire season is Aziraphale in the Resurrectionist flashback. Why? (Maybe to throw us off? I think we have multiple POV characters in season 2, not just Aziraphale, but we only hear Aziraphale so we assume he's the POV for the entire season. But still, why do we only hear him narrate 1 flashback? Argh, is he reading the diary to himself in the present day? That would explain the end, "And that was the last I was to see of Crowley for some time." If he is reading it in the present day, why? What made him think to go back to THAT entry?? Oh, duh! He JUST heard the story of the jukebox from Maggie. And Gabriel appearing -- same city that statue is in. Of course he thought of something important from that diary entry! Now, what did he notice?)
Is the Book of Life a real threat? We hear two stories about it, that it's real and that its ability to erase beings was something to scare the cherubs with, this is inconclusive. Crowley gets nervous after Beelzebub talks to him, but he could just be upset that their little break is interrupted, and now Heaven and Hell have taken an interest in them again.
Is reality fucked up? How? Whickber street bubble, Aziraphale's power turned up (how?), etc.? A LOT of it is POV shifts!
Job 41:19 on the matchbox: 1941?? YES. Bullet catch/kiss scene!
Where TF is God? "There was nothing for Her to do" my ass. She narrates. That's it. So there was nothing for her to narrate? Hm. (Because there was a host of other narrators? Are the Crowley/Aziraphale through the ages flashbacks in S1 narrated by God? I don't think they are, but I need to rewatch. They are not! And they aren't narrated by God because Crowely and Aziraphale are the POV characters in them.)
So many promo posters show Aziraphale, Crowley, and Jimbriel together, or symbols of them. Three feathers: two white, one black. Tea cup, cocoa mug, wine glass. The three of them. Not with Beelzebub, not with Muriel, the three of them. And all three of them have been Jesus-coded in some small way. No one else. Those three. What. Why. Are they the sacrifice required to bring about the new world? Why not Beez, then?
Wait. Two Crowleys?? WTF. There are two Crowley puppets in the magic shop, and Crowley doesn't remember Saraqael or Furfur. Is he dissing them, or is that the second Crowley that never did meet either of them? Am I insane? I have no theory here, just some wild speculation that needs a lot more time to simmer. Two actual Crowleys, or two ideas of Crowley? Or something to hurt my head?
Why are they in a cave in the opening sequence? The guy who made the opening sequence says they are in the fly that Gabriel stores his memory in. Okay, why? And Crowley lights a match to see. Hm. What else was in that fly that Gabriel didn't take when he got his memory out?
An album on the wall in Maggie's shop says "Rat Keith." This seems to me to be an allusion to The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, by Terry Pratchett. In the book, some men have tied several rats' tails together to create a rat king that keeps the wild rats under control -- except that the rat king has too much power and is doing way more than just that. People die. So who's been given too much power and is now running the show instead of being a puppet? The Metatron, perhaps? Hm . . . Also, Keith is the young boy who plays the part of the Pied Piper for Maurice's scam. He leads all the rats out of town, never mind that the rats can talk and are in on the scam.
Things I think I know:
NEIL GAIMAN IS A LYING LIAR WHO LIES. Except when he's dropping hints or answering straight out. All of his answers to anything anyone asks about GO are suspect at best. (I cannot blame him or anyone else on the cast or crew -- they spent A LOT of time and energy building this very meticulous puzzle game for us -- why would ANY of them give ANY of it away? That would ruin all the fun!)
God has been removed/has vacated. Where did she go? I wonder if anyone knows. Is She just standing back and watching? In the book, Crowley says that anyone who can create a whole universe in six days doesn't let a war of rebellion happen unless they want it to. But that he and Aziraphale wouldn't understand, because if they understood, they wouldn't be them. It's INEFFABLE. He also then FORGETS what he was talking about a minute later.
God doesn't narrate because She's busy being Maggie. Aha!
The Metatron is working for himself. The dice on his tie seem to imply that while God does not play dice with the universe, this jerk surely does. Also, see the rat king observation above, #10.
Gabriel was bringing Aziraphale a message, the box is a red herring. But that brings me to another thing I suspect -- there was something else in the box, and the box is deeply important. Ah, damn -- is that what Crowley gave to Aziraphale in the kiss? Whatever was in the box? Was that what he found out while he was in Heaven? What Gabriel took? Did Gabriel put it in the fly with his memory?
Heaven did something bad to Crowley while he was there. That coffee is a red herring to draw our eye away from him. But that brings me to something else I suspect -- Crowley's knackered and a bit off when he returns from his TEN HOUR JAUNT in Heaven not because they did anything bad to him, but because he stole something very important. Maybe the thing he gives to Aziraphale during the break up?
Crowley and Aziraphale did NOT perform a huge miracle. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't them working together. (Or did they? Are angels and demons more powerful together? Did the Fall create a schism between them that weakened them all? Or are they and Saraqael hiding who did do the big miracle?)
This is a 2 man con. Of course it's a 2 man con. I read American Gods. Crowely and Aziraphale have a plan. This might be version B or C, they might be springing it sooner than they hoped, but that break up was a ruse. A hard, painful ruse, but a ruse. They knew their respite would be short-lived, they've been putting something together for years now.
Crowley put something in Aziraphale's mouth during the kiss. I don't know what, but something he had to swallow. obligateweirdo pointed out that he seems to palm something out of his mouth when he touches his lips the second time, and that Houdini's wife used to slip him the keys to his cuffs with a kiss before his shows. Whatever Crowley gave Aziraphale, it's physical. And Michael Sheen has said he doesn't want to share what's in Aziraphale's pockets -- because Aziraphale put whatever Crowley gave him into a pocket?? Was it the fly? (But didn't that go into Gabriel's eye and stay there?) And if it was the fly, what was inside it?
Gabriel went somewhere else before he went to the book shop. He didn't come down the elevator at the Dirty Donkey. Did he go to Edinburgh? Is that why the pub owner recognized that picture so fast? "Oi! That's that naked bloke was in here last week!" (Or was him walking down the street because we first see him from Nina or Maggie's perspective?? POV muckery?)
SECRET SONGS??? Why are the songs secret?? I'm losing my mind, what is happening??
Several narrators. I'm not even sure how many, but we're seeing the world through the eyes of characters, not God or a faceless narrator. This is part of why things are weird. I don't think that's the full explanation for the whole season, but I think it's a big part of the weirdness. A book that comes up often in the show is The Crow Road by Ian Banks. A brief description of the book says that it is written from the point of view of several characters and the story is told out of order and in no particular fashion, with changes from character to character POV coming at no particular interval and with no warning. AHA! (I did come up with the idea before I saw this post, but @highlandwhackamole beat me to writing it. Well done!) NOW I'm wondering if we aren't also seeing the story as told by the characters we see, but as heard but an as-yet unknown character . . .
The scenes are out of order. The DAMN SCENES ARE OUT OF ORDER! I don't know their correct order, but they are out of order. The Crow Road, again, is told out of order, forcing the reader to piece the scenes together (from a brief description, I'm thinking more and more I need to read this book rather than try to skim it). Is it as simple as watching the scenes in chronological order??
Our angel and demon have hidden something in the book shop. Something important. I have no current guesses as to what. Crowley still has his crank from starting up the nebula. What else might he have taken with him? Is that it? Or something else? HOLY SHIT ARE THEY HIDING JESUS??? Is THAT who did the miracle??
When Aziraphale tells Crowley that their Gabriel miracle set off alarms in Heaven, he sort of raises his eyebrows and says it in the same way he says other things he doesn't mean -- the same tone he says "I forgive you" after the Kiss, or how he says "He says he's Bildad the Shuite," in the Job minisode. It wasn't the Gabriel miracle that set off alarms in Heaven, it was whatever Saraqael was doing, or whoever Saraqael is hiding, and Crowley is well aware of it and whatever Saraqael is up to. Aziraphale just told Crowley that they have to take responsibility for whatever Saraqael did to allay Heaven's suspicions. They are talking in code through more of this season than we first think.
The rainbow lens flairs sure look like eyes. Like a pupil and iris. Is this a subtle hint that we are seeing through someone else's eyes?
When Crowley and Aziraphale argue about what to do with Jimbriel, behind Aziraphale is a privacy screen, and behind Crowley is an open door. Does this reflect how each of them feels, that Aziraphale believes they are speaking in private and Crowley believes they are being listened in on?
Repeating themes:
Beverages of all kinds -- tea for Aziraphale, wine or whiskey for Crowley, cocoa for Jim.
Time -- lots of clocks/mentions of time
Love/partnership/togetherness being stronger than separateness
Queer couples -- is literally everyone in season 2 in a non-cis-het relationship?? Even the guy in the graveyard says he uses his phone for Grindr -- a gay men's dating hook-up app. Nothing wrong with it, but it's an interesting writing choice. Why? Equality and representation -- or a Clue? (I think it's a POV Clue!)
Memories/forgetting/remembering
Payment -- money comes up in both the Resurrectionists minisode and the Flesh Eating Nazi Zombies minisode, but no one pays for anything in present. There is bartering, but no money.
Rising from the dead -- Job's kids (even though they weren't actually dead), bodies used for science, Nazi zombies, the Second Coming.
Unreliable narrators
Death in general -- but 9a., I'm a dirty pagan, why didn't I make this connection sooner, death always leads to REBIRTH, change, something totally new and 9b. there are tarot cards in the magic shop, and even if you're not a dirty pagan, the Death tarot card means transition, something must die before a new thing can be born. Hmmmm.
Morality and what is "good" and what is right
Recognition and identity
Repeating words and phrases OMG the list goes on:
Technically
Properly
Isn't it just?
Too late
Funny old world
Not as such
Made for each other
EVERYWHERE
Obviously
Hints:
Powell and Pressburg films
The Crow Road
Catch 22
The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, Terry Pratchett in general
Jane Austin
Book Good Omens
The titles of episodes, minisodes, places, etc. 7a. The Arrival: a book and a movie, though the book seems far more relevant. And lovely. The Clue: a movie. Companion to Owls: a line from a Bible story. I Know Where I'm Going: a movie. The Resurrectionists: two novels, each called The Resurrectionist, singular. Both look unhinged. The Hitchhiker: a Twilight Zone episode. Nazi Zombie Flesheaters: Literally no other reference. ?? Nazi Zombies do appear in a LOT of movies, comics, and video games, usually as a dark joke. The Ball: a video game. Irrelevant? It's a puzzle-based game, so maybe not. Every Day: a song AND a movie. Some themes repeat here: Puzzle games, being re-directed from one's path to find true love, death and being brought back to life in a gruesome and unpleasant way.
That's what I have so far. I'll try to update with new ideas and information, as well as links to things that support my theories as I find them.

Any Good Omens and The Sandman crossover fics??
We have some here. Here are a few more...
Easy Action by Liquid_Lyrium (M)
Time seems to freeze as Crowley enters the shitty little dive bar in Soho.
There must be over a hundred humans cramped within this tiny space. (Well above the fire warden’s recommendation). Crowley locks eyes with a good-looking bloke hovering next to one of the pool tables, cue in hand.
Both of them are wearing sunglasses.
One predator can always spot another.
Rule 1 by the_bug_geek (G)
Crowley has extremely vivid dreams of certain people and events, which influences his behavior around Aziraphale. The Angel’s curiosity is piqued, and he tries to figure out the puzzle of What is Up with Crowley.
Twilight Procession by musicdefinesusall (T)
If you were to tell Crowley and Aziraphale how their day was going to end, they would have thought you were telling a joke. There was no way it would have come into existence. Though you would have thought they would have had an ounce of respect for the near impossible happening after the experiences they have gone through.
AKA Crowley and Aziraphale rescue Dream from the glass sphere with a little help from a friend.
Until you wake, My dear. by DarkAngel2891 (T)
When Dream is imprisoned and new sickness spreads across the world. Thousands fall into a sleep they cannot wake from. When Crowley is struck by this illness, Aziraphale sets off the find the Dream King and right the world. For the sake of both humanity and his dearest friend.
That Bonny Road by CopperBeech (T)
When you've fought Heaven and Hell to a standstill, it's easy to forget there are other realms just as powerful, and places where the boundaries are thin. It helps to have a witch in your corner.
“I’m out of ideas, Ana. I can’t exactly file a missing-angel report. But back at the airbase, back when it all happened, it took all of us but you were the one with the prophecies, you knew what was going to stop the missiles, you were the coolest head there – “
“I don’t know things like that any more. The book’s burned, I live here with Newt and my garden, and I give the good people of Tadfield a thrill because they can gossip about the American woman who tramps through all the hedgerows trying to figure out a mapping app and dances naked under the full moon. I don’t, by the way. The dancing part.”

Possible Location of Aziraphale's Bookshop
I've decided to do highlights/analyses of various details within the scenic design for Good Omens -- which I plan on posting in multiple parts -- and, following a deep dive into the oldest buildings in Soho to determine the age of Aziraphale's bookshop, I believe I've happened across its theoretical location. Or, at least, its inspiration.
There are a lot of intersections and streets in Soho, but I believe the one that bears the closest resemblance lies on the intersection where The Box Soho is, down to the shapes of the buildings and the alignments of streets. Even using the introductory zoom of the first episode as a point of reference reveals it to be in close proximity.
Fun fact about The Box Soho: it was once known as the Raymond Revuebar, which offered burlesque entertainment during the late 1950s -- which brings to mind the events of season 2's episode 4. There are a lot of fascinating details regarding that building -- some of which aren’t especially appropriate for people under the age of eighteen, so search it up at your own risk.

Map reference for Good Omens fics
Following on from my St James' Park post, would any of you writers like some pictures of the route from Mayfair to Soho? Because one of the minor things that reads very strangely in fics is where people imagine Crowley breaking a speed limit between the two.
Mayfair and Soho are so nearly the same place that the bending of physics you have to imagine for him to even reach a high speed without overshooting his destination is more distracting than entertaining. Honestly, any sensible being who wanted to go from one to the other would walk. You'd only get in a car to pose (slowly), or carry stuff.
If you're setting something in London, Google Maps is misleading, because it's designed as a diagram for cars, and it's very confusing as to scale and the real layout on the ground. Instead, use Google to find the postcode of a specific location, and put it into Streetmap.co.uk. Here, I've put in the postcode of the Ritz. This will give you a much better sense of the scale of this area and what the layout really is.

Okay, so. Someone may have done this before, but I think I’ve worked out the location of the 1941 Blitz scene in Good Omens.
Last night, I was rewatching that scene in the show to review before writing about that time period in my fic, and I realized that the establishing shot actually shows St Paul’s Cathedral:
Tumblr media
It’s very clearly there on the right side of the screen, and it’s shown relative to the church where the whole thing takes place. So, naturally, I opened g00gle maps to see if I could work out where that would be. Given the angle from which we see St. Paul’s, we’re probably looking southeast of the cathedral, which counting only standing buildings, includes the following churches:
St. Nicholas Cole Abbey
St. Mary Somerset Church
St. James Garlickhythe
St. Michael Paternoster Royal
A quick Wikipedia search eliminates both St. Mary Somerset Church and St. James Garlickhythe, since St. Mary Somerset was largely demolished in 1871 and St. James Garlickhythe, though bombed during the Blitz, escaped any bombs actually going off inside and destroying the church, which appears to be a point of pride for the church itself. That, then, leaves St. Nicholas Cole Abbey and St. Michal Paternoster Royal, which I’ll call St. Nicholas and St. Michael from here on out.
For context, here’s a picture taken using g00gle maps to show what St. Michael looks like relative to St. Paul’s.
Tumblr media
There have clearly been some buildings built in the interrim, and it’s not quite in the right place, but it’s not too far off. So, I looked it up on Wikipedia. Now it turns out that, while St. Michael was severely damaged in the Blitz, the damage actually happened in 1944, not 1941. Now, that’s not too terribly distant, so it’s still arguably an option.
St. Nicholas, though, is very much my favorite choice for the location of the church in the Blitz scene, and the one I used for writing purposes. First of all, I feel like the angle looking toward St. Paul’s is the best:
Tumblr media
It’s a little too close, maybe, but it’s really not too bad. Second, it was destroyed at the right time: 10 or 11 May 1941, to be precise. Plus, for those looking to go really historically based, there are actually surviving photos of the church pre-bombing, which you can see here.
Now, one caveat: I couldn’t figure out how to find churches that were destroyed in the Blitz and not rebuilt. I did check the list of significant destroyed buildings in London, but the closest match--which is otherwise very promising--was St. Mary Aldermanbury, which is unfortunately in entirely the wrong place, being northeast of St. Paul’s rather than southeast. However, if someone happens to know about a demolished church that stood southeast of St. Paul’s, I would love to hear about it.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, I think the best match for the church in the Blitz scene is St. Nicholas Cole Abbey. It’s in the right place relative to St. Paul’s and it was destroyed the correct year. Now, it doesn’t match up particularly well visually, but I don’t know how much effort went into designing the set/establishing shot to match an actual church, or even if they had one in mind. But for me, having a real place on which to anchor my writing is pretty dang cool. (And useful for calculating driving times and routes from the church to Soho!)

Is the bookshop still in Soho, and where there exactly (the exact location would be nice as I can't find it via Street view on Google maps)? I was wondering if you could still visit it, also is it free (if I remember right, you have to pay to go to the escape room)?
I'd love to know more about it
Hiya! :) The bookshop they shot the first season in was not an actual bookshop in Soho but it was a set built in Bovingdon Airfield to look like Soho (and they again built it for the second season in Bathgate studio).
Then when the premiere of the Good Omens S1 approached they rented a space at Greek Street 19 Soho as a promotional space, disguised as a Soho bookshop with some movie props and costumes, Lorna May GO artwork, the escape game and the Bentley outside :). I think it was there about a week, free to explore, and with tickets for the escape room.
Tumblr media
Here's a then article about it.
Hopefully they'll do something similar for S2 :).

The Visitor - Part 2/2
For @halkylenerdybitch456. This is a brilliant idea, I dunno why more people aren’t using it. (This turned out a lot longer than anticipated, so this is now a two parter.)
Summary(for part 2): Aziraphale entertains an unexpected visitor, and avoids seling him his books (just about).
Fandoms: Good Omens(All Media Types), Percy Jackson and The Olympians(All Media Types), Heroes of Olympus(Book Series)
TW: Implied deception and gaslighting, implied unreality.
Okay, here we go. (Sorry in advance.)
Aziraphale didn’t care that he’d been startled. He didn’t even care that in all the chaos, his cocoa had been spilled, thoroughly ruining his waistcoat. He didn’t even care that the boy seemed just as confused as he was, if not more so.
What did disturb him however, was the aura that he gave off. He hadn’t seen one like it in a long time, and after all his previous experiences, even seeing it almost two millennia later, felt like it was too soon.
He composed himself, and asked, “I’m sorry, where-where are you from?”
The boy blinked, somewhat snapping out of it, and gestured vaguely to a list that he gripped tightly in his fist.
“Book.”
Aziraphale frowned, then motioned for the boy to hand it over. He pulled out his glasses and examined the list, then realising that most of its contents were atleast a hundred years old, asked the boy, “Why would this be in your possession? These are very old, and no college I know, even knows of the existence of them!”
The visitor simply said, “Mine does, and I’m looking for them for the DSTOMPS-”
Aziraphale had heard of every examination under the sun, every standardised test, even given some of them for the fun of it, but the DSTOMP....that didn’t quite seem to ring a bell.
“I do beg your pardon?”
“The Demigod Standardised Test of Mad Powers? Well, the map clearly recommended your place, so here I am. To buy some books, and study them, clear this test and go to New Rome University. ”
New Rome University. Of course.
“Tiberius!” He yelled.
The boy blinked again. “Wait, you know Tiberius?”
“An old acquaintance, much more trouble than he was worth, really.”
“Tiberius? Trouble? Oh boy, just wait till everyone hears about this!”
Aziraphale laughed. It had been some time since he’d last been to New Rome(though then it was in Plymouth, and far less desirable than it seemed presently) and the memories of Tiberius’ reign of compulsiveness and terror at the gates, while demigods(he’d assumed this from the boy’s aura), much like the one before him, brought back a strange sense of nostalgia for a time he’d otherwise longed to forget.
The boy extended his hand. “Anyway, I’m Percy, nice to meet you.”
Aziraphale smiled in turn, and shook it warmly. “Aziraphale.”
“Say, when you said these books were over a hundred years old....you didn’t really mean that, did you?”
“I did, most of New Rome’s volumes carried over from the Plymouth chapter.”
Percy frowned. “Plymouth? I thought New Rome was in California?”
“If you’ll remember, it shifts with the centres of civilization, with every rising age. Frankly, given my experiences with the lot, I’m surprised I’m even ON your booklist.”
Percy shrugged, pausing to think about it. “I dunno, really, my girlfriend gave it to me, though I don’t think she knew about the map to your store.”
Aziraphale sighed. “Tiberius knows that I despise selling my books, of course he would send you here. Oh well, I do know of a lovely substitute shop that you can visit for the volumes.”
Percy raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t you supposed to be a bookstore owner? Like, don’t you SELL books?”
“Merely an excuse to collect them. I couldn’t quite rent out a shop in SoHo without actually selling anything, so I keep a couple of modern volumes as well, just to keep up the front.”
Aziraphale was surprised by how easily that statement came to him. He hadn’t confided in the truth about the bookshop to anyone, except Crowley, so naturally, telling someone else about this embarrassed him slightly.
The demigod had an easy manner, but he wasn’t about to mistake that for confidentiality.
“You....you will not speak of this to anyone, right?”
“Course man, you have my word.”
“Thank God. Thank...thank you.”
“So, now I know you’re not quite human....what exactly are you?”
“I’m an angel.”
“An angel? I thought those weren’t real?”
“A few years ago, I know you wouldn’t have thought Greek Gods and Monsters to be real.”
“True,” he nodded. Then: “How did you know I was Greek, and not Roman? I mean, I did come here from New Rome, after all.”
“Your hair is a little too unruly for the ranks of the Fifth Legion. Tiberius simply wouldn’t have allowed it. It may have been a long time since I visited New Rome last, but I do remember some things.”
Percy laughed. “What is life in New Rome worth, if we don’t disturb Tiberius and his never-ending rules atleast a hundred times?”
“He did dress-code me for my bowties, when I first arrived at Plymouth.” Aziraphale chuckled at the memory of the angry bust, waggling a missing hand  and him apologising profusely for ‘not maintaining the decorum of the city (our) founders worked so hard to establish!’.
Percy looked genuinely baffled. “You? What would- why?” He spluttered.
“Crowley and I-”
“Who’s Crowley?”
“He’s the angel I was expecting when you first arrived here, actually.”
“Oh, so...your boyfriend then?”
“Not my boyfriend,” Aziraphale assured him.
“Oh, well, all right. A special friend, then.”
“We have a pact,” Aziraphale continued. “To help each other perform our daily tasks, thwart the other when it is asked of us.”
“Sounds cool. So, what happens if you have to do this miracle thing and he has to tempt someone.”
“Pray to The Lord above that we don’t ever have the misfortune of dealing with that.”
Percy raised a finger. “If you pray for that, then won’t....upper management find out?”
“In this case, it is a figure of speech.”
He nodded again. “Right, right.”
Aziraphale had many questions as well, but even he knew they couldn’t talk about it all forever. He sighed, walked over to his desk and scribbled out the details of the bookshop he’d mentioned previously.
“Here you go, they have all the volumes, updated for all modern readers.”
“It was nice talking to you dude.”
He smiled. “You too, Percival.” As he said it, however, something didn’t quite feel right.
Percy didn’t appear fazed by this. “Well, I’m off, so, uh, how exactly do I go back to New Rome?”
“I have a doorway leading out from the cooking section, you shall know it when you see it.”
“Oh, and hey?”
“Yes?”
“Thanks again. I mean, sure you didn’t actually sell me any books or anything, but thanks.”
“Happy to help.”
With that, Percy walked off towards the cooking section, shortly after which the telltale whoosh of a portal not used since long, rang out behind him, leaving the angel all alone in his bookshop once again.
Well, for the five seconds anyway.
As he began to walk back to his chair again, the bell rang again.
“Sorry I’m late, angel, but do you remember that place in Plymouth, with the angry bust? Yeah, funny story. I just bumped into a boy who claimed to be from there.”

A Nice and Accurate Timeline of the Apocalypse (and its Aftermath)
As shown on the Good Omens TV show
Happy birthday to me, a gift for myself and the entire Good Omens fandom.
MONDAY
Hastur and Ligur check on the Hellhound
Warlock and his mother argue about his birthday party while Aziraphale and Crowley watch.
Crowley suggests Aziraphale could kill Warlock. Aziraphale suggests they go to the birthday party instead.
WEDNESDAY
Warlock's (and Adam's) 11th birthday
3 pm - Hastur and Ligur let out the Hellhound
Sufficient time later for a thorough cake fight:
Aziraphale and Crowley have to admit they've got the wrong boy since the Hellhound, who should be there by now, is not showing up.
(The Hellhound had to get to Tadfield instead of London, it's a bit of a trip, I suppose, since it must be some time later when:) The Hellhound arrives in Hogback Wood between 3pm and 5:00pm, assuming Agnes Nutter and Deirdre Young define teatime the same, but with definitely enough time for
Crowley (back in his usual outfit) and Aziraphale (who had time to get changed and wash the cake off) to have decided to have a drink over their failure at Aziraphale's bookshop (where they have returned, presumably by car, though to be fair, the Ambassador's residence to Soho, which is about 3 miles, at Crowley's typical speed is a matter of a couple of minutes, really) when Crowley announces the Hellhound has been named
Newton is fired, meets Shadwell, is told to show up at his place at 11 o'clock the day after
Anathema is implied to arrive in the UK either Wednesday or Thursday, but a bit difficult to nail down - did they show it chronologically, in which case Anathema arrived before Newton meets Shadwell, or did they alternate the scenes to juxtapose Anathema and Newton more clearly, but Anathema's outfit, make-up and hairstyle are still the same when we see her move into the cottage on Thursday
THURSDAY
Gabriel and Sandalphon show up on Aziraphale's shop to corner him
(The scriptbook implies Crowley stayed at the shop through the night and is only now sneaking out, nearly caught by the Archangels, but it wasn't shown, so follow your bliss.)
Hastur and Ligur check in with Crowley and say their "operatives in the State Department" have arranged for the boy to be flown to the Middle East
The Postman delivers the Sword
Anathema moves into Jasmine Cottage in Tadfield and gets to work
Crowley threatens his plants
Aziraphale is on the phone with someone who wants to buy the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter
Newton comes to Shadwell's and is initiated so we can assume it is now 11 o'clock
Aziraphale calls Crowley with the idea to check the convent, they take the Bentley together
(If we're assuming 90 mph is Crowley's standard speed, and Tadfield is in about the middle of Oxfordshire, we can assume it took them about 40 minutes. So, either they left later, or Crowley actually bothered to slow down on occassion.)
Anathema meets the Them while scrying for the Antichrist
Aziraphale and Crowley meet Mary Hodges, interrogate her, and ignore the police blockade to leave the former convent at sunset
Shortly after, Anathema is scrying by yet a third method (poor girl)
Anathema's bike and Crowley's Bentley collide, they give her a ride
by the time they arrive at Jasmine cottage, it is fully dark
Anathema has a video chat with her mom
Aziraphale and crowley discuss the possibility of asking a human for help with locating the antichrist over cake
Adam is starting to be reached out to when asleep by infernal forces
Back in front of the bookshop, Aziraphale finds the book and blows off Crowley to read it
FRIDAY Crowley calls Aziraphale to check in
If we are assuming Aziraphale's office clock is correct, it is about 6:45 am when he calls the Young's home phone, the Young parents are having breakfast, and Adam is training Dog
Aziraphale attempts to script an explanation to Gabriel
Anathema invites Adam in
Crowley meets with Shadwell
Aziraphale meets with the Archangels and realizes they have no intention of averting the war, Michael states "The other side are currently transporting [Warlock] to the plains of Megiddo"
Aziraphale claims, to the Archangels, not to be sure about the Antichrist's location even though we saw his notes on the matter include his address
Aziraphale calls in Shadwell, who ignores Newton's quite accurate recognition of the oddness of Oxfordshire's weather
The scales are delivered to Famine
At about 7pm, Crowley calls Aziraphale and suggests the meeting at the Bandstand in "15 minutes"
(When they are actually meeting, it's sunset, but given filming schedules and stuff, I will leave it to you if you decide Aziraphale is really late or the sunset is just early)
During the night, Adam starts actively affecting reality
SATURDAY
Aziraphale intercepts Gabriel jogging at Battersea Park
Michael presents pictures and gets Gabriel's tacit permission to check in downstairs about Aziraphale and Crowley and calls Ligur
Crowley goes over possible escape locations
Lesley delivers the crown to Pollution (the sun is still rising) and the message that it's time to Death
Newton gets sworn in by Shadwell and sent off to Tadfield, he has the accident Ligur talks to Hastur who is supposed to be leaving for Megiddo about his suspicions of Crowley, they decide to find proof
Hastur gets to Megiddo
Anathema is well-prepared for Newton's arrival
5 hours and 48 minutes to the end of the World
Newton wakes up
The Them separate for lunch, agreeing to meet up again after
Warlock is at Megiddo Hastur confronts Crowley, who was having  a pity party at a cinema

Crowley tries again to convince Aziraphale to come with him, fails
Sets up the holy water booby trap
Crowley melts Ligur
Aziraphale appears to have taken a short walk to clear his head, as he is on his way back to the bookshop when he is accosted by the Archangels and the horn is sounded
Adam is starting to really scare his friends
13:30
Anathema and Newton are about to leave, but are stopped by a storm
They start making out under the bed
When the pin in the map starts sizzling, Shadwell realizes he may have sent Newton into danger, and Tracey convinces him to go after him, but Shadwell refuses her money and instead resolves to ask Aziraphale for an Advance
Newton has scruples and asks if he shouldn't buy anathema dinner first, but she quickly dissuades him
Aziraphale contacts Heaven in a last-ditch attempt to ask Her for help, the Metatron quashes his last hopes of Heaven's assistance
Shadwell goes to Aziraphale's shop, sees the late end of the Metatron bit through the letter flap,
Aziraphale calls Crowley but Crowley hangs up on him to deal with Hastur.
Shadwell picks the lock
and Aziraphale, trying to keep Shadwell safe, accidentally steps into the circle, discorporating himself.
Shadwell slams the door on his hasty way out, shaking the ground hard enough to kick over one of the candles in the communication circle setting the shop on fire.
Parallel to this, Crowley finished dealing with Hastur and makes his way to Aziraphale
14:30
Crowley, on his way to Aziraphale's shop, tries to call Aziraphale,
the store is already very on fire
Crowley goes in and tries to find Aziraphale, rescues the book
Adam announces his "new" friends - the horsemen - will be together soon and are on their way
Shadwell arrives back home and is put to bed by Madam Tracey
Aziraphale argues with the Quartermaster and decides to go back to Earth without a body if he has to
4 pm -
Anathema is getting dressed again
Crowley has gotten really quite drunk, having downed an entire bottle of Talisker and asking the bartender for a second by this point
Aziraphale finds him at the bar
The Seance starts
The Horsemen meet up at the café
Aziraphale crashes the Séance and quickly wraps it up so he can get Tracey up to speed
1 hour and 43 minutes to the apocalypse
Crowley is stuck in the traffic jam due to the M25
Shadwell wakes up, Madame Tracey and Aziraphale make him tea
The M25 lights up with Crowley still inside
Lisa from the call center accidentally frees Hastur, who thanks her by eating her and her colleagues
Aziraphale recruits Shadwell, who packs the Thunder Gun
Hastur appears in the car, prompting him to brave the fire out of sheer spite
Adam chases away Dog and the Them, whose rejection makes him snap back to himself. They resolve to stop what Adam started, and to "meet back in 5 minutes"
Anathema and Newt figure out they have to go to the airbase
Aziraphale makes the scooter fly
The Horsemen arrive through the official entrance, pretending to be a surprise inspection
Anathema and Newt sneak in through a hole in the fence a fallen tree has made
Adam and the Them meet up again
31 minutes to the end of the world
RP Tyler delays the Them
The Horsemen take over the base, starting ... everything, basically
17 minutes to the Apocalypse
after asking RP Tyler for directions, Crowley hurries
The Scooter reaches the airbase
Aziraphale argues with the airbase
Crowley arrives making his heroic entrance
(of course Adam and his friends do the real work)
The Bentley explodes
Aziraphale sends off the guard off while Crowley is having a moment
Crowley takes care of the next load of soldiers
When the Sergeant chickens out, Aziraphale attempts to use the gun on Adam, but Tracey stops him
Pepper, Brian and Wensleydale take out War, Pollution and Famine
Newt breaks the system by trying to fix it
Adam confronts Death
Anathema and Newt walk on
Crowley returns the book
Aziraphale receives the prophecy
Gabriel and Beelzebub arrive
Aziraphale and Crowley rules-lawyer them into cancelling the war
Satan shows up
Aziraphale threatens Crowley to never talk to him again, so Crowley stops time, giving Adam enough time to think
Adam rejects Satan, declaring that that is not his father, so Arthur Young appears
After Nightfall, Aziraphale and Crowley wait for the bus, sharing a bottle of wine
Lesley picks up the horsemen's items
Aziraphale and Crowley take each other's hand as they sit down in the bus
SUNDAY
Crowley, already in Aziraphale's body, investigates the restored bookshop
Aziraphale, in Crowley's appearance, is happy to find the Bentley restored
Anathema and Newton wake up together
Crowley and Aziraphale meet at the park and are abducted for each other's trials.
Madame Tracey and Sergeant Shadwell agree to retire together
Agnes has the next book delivered
Anathema decides to burn it
The Them check in on Adam, who is sure he'll be grounded for "years and years", but his parents will have forgotten by tomorrow - his powers to affect reality do not seem entirely gone.
Summer is ending.
Crowley and Aziraphale are sitting on a park bank, they swap back and agree to go to Lunch
They dine at the Ritz to romantic music and toast To the World.

For @drawlight ‘s Good Omens Advent Calendar! Day 25 prompt - ‘Love’.
(I know I’m a little behind, but I’m so excited to finally have this story out there to view! I hope you lovely folks enjoy this tooth-rotting, ineffable fluff)!
Summary:
In the warm, candlelit glow of a little bookshop in Soho; an angel and a demon discover one another. It's a tentative venture, at first. A fleeting graze, a delicate touch. Never too fast. They have the promise of eternity to spend all the time they need mapping out their partner's Earthly corporation. But when Crowley discovers the golden gleam of scars marking Aziraphale's skin, he is left reeling at the implications. Of course, misunderstandings often provide the best opportunities for heartfelt revelations and long-withheld confessions of love.
AKA: Aziraphale is self-conscious of his body. But when Crowley discovers Aziraphale's 'imperfections', he makes the ineffable decision to show his angel just how beautiful he truly is.

Explore Good Omens’ England
So there’s a Google Maps side app that allows doodling and customization, which I was messing with in order to see the beginning and end of a particular street in the Soho area of London, for reasons…¹
Let me show you Wardour Street.
Tumblr media
The Good Omens book specifically says A.Z. Fell and Co. is off of it. Crowley pulls the Bentley out onto it when he leaves the burning bookshop to the firefighters. Just off of Wardour Street, around a corner is a dead end street with an interestingly relevant name…² anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?
And of course I invite you to explore the rest of the places mentioned in the Good Omens book
It’s quite amusing to see that Aziraphale can probably walk to St. James park in about 20min, the Ritz in 15. We don’t know where in Mayfair Crowley lives but if you can drive to Hyde Park in about 12 minutes you know the speed demon would do it in 6.³ Also the sheer number of restaurants along Wardour Street alone, theaters a block away, no wonder the angel is so very fond.
Ever tried seeing how far an angel’s book shop might be from a certain park when you can’t keep track of the end of a certain road the second you start scrolling away to find the next point on a moving map?!!! It’s annoying is what it is!
There’s a records shop right on the corner of it called Sounds of the Universe. Make of that what you will.
Yes, really, it should take between 10 and 13 minutes to drive from where I suspect the bookshop to stand to the north eastern tip of Hyde park. The mean of that time is just over 12 minutes, infernal driving halves it to 6. You can’t convince me Crowley wouldn’t plan accordingly.
So I've added a few things since I started this. I finally found out where Shadwell and Tracy live, though it's a tiny bit of a stretch because the book hints don't sink perfectly with real life. It's a lot farther away from Soho than I'd imagined. Where the elusive Tadfield might be possess similar problems, because none of the scant references create anything resembling triangulation. But I've had some fun taking a little map tour of Oxfordshire. Did you know there's an area there called Crowsley? With a road named Devil's Hill going by? It can't be far from the village of Tadfield if my sleuthing is remotely sound. My exploring of England has also turned up a town in West Sussex named Crawley and it's been brought to my attention there's a Devil's Dyke, in Brighton, not far from the South Downs. Which incidentally you kinda have to go through Crawley to get to. Add I've even added the Angel Inn and a cafe named Hog Back.
