When Someone Insults Ganyu, Bennett, and Nilou vs When Someone Insults Reader...

(Disclaimers: Might Be OOC, Mentions of Violence, & Quest/Genshin Impact Lore Spoilers!)

Ganyu

Okay, first of all: Yes, I am adding that stupid idiot cough Xin Cheng cough into this.

You were just following the Traveler and Paimon, joining Ganyu's Story Quest which, for some reason, was not completed yet. So, you decided to tag along to see Ganyu!

You weren't hyped when that beggar came out of nowhere and started to do all that fairytale stuff even you don't approve of—and you were someone that sticks themselves into your own head, thank you very much.

So when this man started to gain the audacity to insult Ganyu, you knew you had to step up and do something. No one, and you quite mean it, was going to insult her and get away with it.

"Hey!" You came out from your hiding spot (you're the Almighty Creator, you know it'll make the situation worse). "Just what the hell do you think you're doing, huh?"

Xin Cheng pales at the sight of your enraged figure. He stutters to make an excuse, but you cut him off. You're having none of it.

"Get your useless self out of here, before I decide to kick it down the mountains myself!"

To say that Ganyu was shocked that you were getting angry over a mortal was an understatement. She was beyond surprised that you even stood up for her.

But she did have to intervene with your threatening—after all, she is still an Adeptus. Protecting the people of Liyue was still her duty.

"Your Grace...Please let him go. I'm sure he already understands his mistake." Ganyu's soft voice only made your anger increase—she sounded so upset!

"Y-yes, please, Your Grace! I understand what I've done wrong, I—"

"Silence." You glare down at the mortal. Your turn back to Ganyu, and considered your choices. While you wanted to wreck absolute vengeance on this man, you also didn't want to hurt Ganyu's feelings more.

Guess you were going down Trauma Lane, then. You sigh, and stomp your feet as you turn around to glare at Xin Cheng, catching his petite form by surprise.

"If I ever see you do this again..." Your eyes narrow. "Believe me when I say it—you will be granted no mercy by any adeptus nor Rex Lapis himself. Now SCRAM!" With that, he was running for the hills. You weren't entirely satisfied, but you'll take it. For now.

What would Happen if Ganyu heard you get insulted? Well, first of all, she would gasp quietly to herself. What was this blasphemy? She's utterly horrified.

Ganyu thinks she might faint once she realizes you were nearby, checking out vendor goods next to where the gossipers were spilling terrible insults of your image.

"Y-Your Grace! Please accept my apology on behalf of the people of Liyue." Will literally run up to you and apologize for them. While she may not be the one who did it, she's still cares about the People of Liyue—and thus her reasoning as to why she's askign for the mercy of the Almighty Creator.

Your puzzled look turns to Ganyu. "Who are you apologizing for?" Ganyu blinks.

"The, uhm—the gossipers..?" You're still confused, until your eyes shine once recognition hits you like Truck-Kun.

"Ohhh, those dudes! Yeah, don't worry about them—they're pretty boring, saying the same thing like a broken record. Say—wanna shop with me? I'm paying, of course."

And that's how you got Ganyu to be more comfortable around you! :D

Bennett

Ah, our unlucky yet optimistic adventurer! This boy—he is good. He's cool, and he's rather awed by most of the kids in Mondstadt.

He was hanging out with Razor and Fischl when someone decides to insult him. this genuinely upsets him—after all, they were insulting his ability and his position in the Adventurer's Guild...

Already, Razor and Fischl were already up to defend him, but what they didn't expect is for the Almighty Creator (aka you) got to it first.

"I beg your pardon," you say through gritted teeth. "How exactly is having a bad luck aura got to do with ANYTHING related to being an adventurer?" You're glaring so many daggers you could practically say you were breaking all the walls. "Perhaps we'll see just how lucky you are when I send you to Dragon Spine and watch your dead corpses FREEZE TO DEATH?"

The insulters were paling the more you went on. Razor and Fischl aren't sure what to do—you're already there, dealing with the situation.

But Bennett? Well uh, like usual, his bad luck got the best of him, and he accidentally stumbles towards you (miraculously). He bumps into you, and you shift your gaze onto him.

"Uh—Sorry, Your Grace! I really didn't mean to bump into you, I swear!" Poor guy is scared because his bad luck affected him at the worst time of all. He thinks he might get killed.

You though? Oh, hell nah. Your gaze already soften, and you decided to show favoritism! You pull the boy into a hug, glaring at the insulters one more time as a warning to scram, before you go back to enjoying giving the boy affection!

But when Bennett hears you get insulted? Well, first of all, screw his bad luck because the insulters were quite literally telling him how bad of a Creator you were!

He immediately tries to avoid getting too deep into the discussion, trying to sway the topic elsewhere to no avail, and he pales when he realizes you were literally a few steps away from them!

And it seems his bad luck gets in the way again, because you just turned right as he was staring at you with shocked eyes!

However, instead of being mad, you were actually beaming when you see him. You wave at Bennett, smiling.

"Bennett! Help me choose some flowers, yeah?"

"Uhm—uh, Sure, Your Grace!"

And that's how the insulters were hiding in their homes for the rest of their lives as you merrily dragged Bennett out of that horrendous conversation.

Nilou

Honestly, do I need to say who decided to insult this amazing dancer?

Yes, it was fricking Azar again. What is up with this crazy old man, nobody knows. Perhaps you should put him in prison for a while until he's gained a sense of appreciation for the Arts. ALL of the Arts.

Apparently, when you had drilled fear into this man, he thought it only applied to flipping Nahida. As much as you love Nahida, you are not going to have Azar twists your words and make it seem like you grant him permission to snark down other people—especially the people of Zubayr Theater.

So when Azar finally decides to have scholars gain the nerve to insult Nilou on behalf of his stupid brain, you (of course) just had to get yourself involved with this.

"Excuse me, but since when did you have the audacity to judge someone else's profession of art, simply because it isn't 'academic' in any way?" You spat. "Where I come from, Art courses are necessary in order to move on in your academic life." When Nilou hears you, she, first of all, is grateful of you stepping up for her, and, second of all, very scared of what might be happening next.

The scholars pale, but they seem to have taken your comment as a debate.

"With all due respect, Your Grace, the Arts are anything but educational—"

"Was I looking for a second opinion, dimwit?" You narrow your eyes. "Besides, have you yourself ever tried the Art of Dancing or the Art of Music before?"

"Well—uhm, no, but—"

"Then shut up, then." The scholars begin to panic as your voice becomes low and dangerous. "You don't have an excuse to be judgmental if you haven't even tried this stuff yourself."

"Ex-Sage Azar told us to say this!" They blurt out, and that only increases your rage. Seeing that things might escalate, Nilou steps in.

"Your Grace, let's not be too harsh!" She exclaims, waving her hands frantically. "I'm sure they understand what they did wrong. There's no need to have them punished." You narrowed your eyes in disagreement, for a half second, Nilou thought she made the situation worse.

But when you sigh heavily, she knew you relented. You glare at the scholars again.

"Tell Azar if he does this again, to ANYONE, I'll cut his head off, and there's no more excuses there. In fact—bring me to him. I'll have a talk with him myself."

Yeah, Azar got traumatized again :)

But when Nilou hears you be insulted? Quite literally behind your back? She thought she was going to faint from the gossiper's comments alone! You being there to listen it to it all only made her feel worse.

She was about to confront them, until she saw other people nearby dealing with the situation. So, Nilou decides to check up and see if you were okay...After all, those comments weren't nice.

She was pretty shocked when she realized you were contemplating over wares instead, completely unbothered by the drama going on behind your back. Nevertheless, she was still going to apologize in case you were just hiding your emotions.

"Uhm, Your Grace—I would like to apologize on behalf of all of Zubayr Theater. We should've done something earlier." You look at her, confused.

"What are you apologizing for, Nilou?" You ask. She blinks.

"Uhm, the gossipers, Your Grace..?" Your eyes widen, before you bark a laugh.

"Oh, those dudes! Yeah—don't worry about them, honestly. Say—help me pick: should I get hot chocolate or tea from this lovely store?"

Let's just say you had a fun time hanging out with Nilou for the rest of the afternoon :)

Hai! I saw that you were taking fic requests and if it's ok with you I was hoping you could write one for Tangerine? Where reader is working w/ the twins for years now and is oblivious to all of Tangerines advances to her bcuz she doesn't really think he likes her. Come to the event where they're on the bullet train and they're trying to do their mission but everything went to shit. So Tan leaves Lem and Reader to wait while he tries to find Ladybug and there comes a chance where Lemon tells her himself about Tans feelings and advances and how oblivious she was and she becomes in denial

And that hopefully in the end, after she got shot in like the shoulder by saving Tan from almost being shot by Ladybug she sees how Tan reacts and she goes "oh shit Lemon was fr not bullshiting" and at the end they get out the train safely and no one dies and have a very real, and cannon happy ending 💕💕

You have been working with the two brothers, Lemon and Tangerine, for a while now. Picking up odd jobs. Whatever pays the most. And even though these two could get on your nerves, you enjoyed your time with them. They never once made you feel different. Never told you, you couldn't do something because it was 'too dangerous for a woman'.

Well, that was true until recently. You see, Tangerine has slowly become more aware of every mission's danger. Sure he knew you could handle yourself. He knew that you wouldn't get hurt. But he didn't want to risk it. So naturally when he took this job for the White Death, he was against you coming.

Yet here you are. Sitting by the window, next to a semi-pissed Tan.

It all started when you insisted to join. Saying how you've sat out the last 2 missions, and you weren't going to miss another. Then, Lemon lost the briefcase. After that, you three find the White Death's son dead. The Cherry on top was they (White Death) knew you lot didn't have the case.

"Alright, I'm gonna go find this prick and teach him a lesson. You two stay here, yeah?" You heard Tan speak up, making you look over at him. "But I wa-" "Ah ah- No buts. You're staying here." He said firmly before getting up and walking off

You sighed as you watched Tangerine walk off. Lemon watched him as well before fixating his gaze on you.

"You know he likes you, right?"

"What..?" Surely you didn't hear that right. Or you must be dreaming. Because you thought there was no way in hell that someone as hot as Tan could ever like you back.

"Did you go deaf or somethin'? I said my brother likes you. It's painfully obvious." Even when he repeated it, you looked at Lemon like he had two heads. "I-I think you're mistaken.. There's no way he likes me.." Lemon just rolled his eyes. "Look, I wouldn't lie to ya' about this. I see the way you look at my brother. You clearly fancy him a lot. And he feels the same. I mean, it's painfully obvious to everyone else. He's told you how many pickup lines since we got on this train? And how many through our whole time together? And don't even get me started on the looks you two give each other when the other is turned!"

"I-.. I thought he was just being friendly.." You mumbled, still in denial. You refused to think someone who seemed so out of your league liked you. "Yeah? Well, he wasn't. He's been trying to rack up the nerve to ask you out like a proper gentleman, but every time he asks, you're off in your own world."

You shook your head firmly, looking out of the window. "Would you stop being such a stubborn priss and just open your eyes? You two fancy each other! Just confess and move on. If I have to sit through another mission filled with romantic and sexual tension I might just quit."

You continued to talk to Lemon, arguing over if Tan likes you back or not before transitioning to a more tame conversation. Though your mind kept wandering back to what he said. You couldn't help but wonder if you were in the wrong about it.

It had been a while since you got separated from Lemon. You were worried, alone, and in all honesty? Scared. You didn't feel safe without being with one of the twins. Preferably Tan over Lem. But you wouldn't mind Lem.

You walked around the eerily empty train before finding an open bathroom, your eyes widening as you saw a bloodied Lemon. Quickly you knelt to his level and checked for a pulse, luckily finding one. You examined him more and saw Tan's necklace around him. Of course he'd jump the gun and think the worst.

You quickly got up, running through the train to find him. You bumped into another girl on your way down. You gave her a skeptical look. "Watch where you're going!" She yelled at you as she continued on.

You couldn't help but scrunch up your nose in disgust. You could barely notice a Thomas the Tank Engine sticker on her back. Diesel. So that's who drugged Lem.

You made a mental note to find her later, no doubt she thought Lem was dead so you didn't have to worry for now. Continuing down the train. Eventually, you saw him, saw your Tan fighting another guy. They didn't see you yet. So you tried to quietly sneak up on the other one. But when you saw him reach for the gun, it was game over.

You ran as fast as you could and pushed Tan out of the way right when the gun fired, not even feeling the pain in your shoulder when it was done with.

It was like time was going in slow motion for Tan. One minute he was fighting this Ladybug guy, then the next everything was going significantly slower, watching you run towards him and push him away. He had to blink a few times before landing on his ass with a groan, looking up at you and watching a bright red liquid start to stain your white shirt.

If his eyes could change colors, they would be bright red, staring at the man with the gun who was behind you, not even giving him a second to get out the words "I'm sorry" before he had him up against the wall.

"First, you come in here while I was about to kill the bloody Diesel, then you try to kill me, not believing me when I said that she's trying to make us all kill each other. And then! The fuckin' cherry on top, you try to kill me. But you shoot my partner instead. You hurt an innocent lady. A fuckin' goddess.."

He was growling at the other man, finally the pain of the bullet settling in. You winced in pain and fell to the floor, grabbing your shoulder to try and stop some of the bleeding.

Tan paused hearing you, looking over and quickly dropping the man to run to your side. "Are you okay love..?" He asked, his expression softened when he looked at you, taking off his shirt to wrap around your shoulder to help stop the bleeding.

You couldn't help but stare as he took it off, your eyes moving from his abs to his eyes as he wrapped up your shoulder. So Lem was telling the truth. Tan really did love you. It was as clear as day to you now. The way he looked at you, how you were the most beautiful person alive. The way he spoke, how he immediately softened when he saw you. Everything he did showed his love for you.

"Hello? I asked if you were okay?" He repeated, waving a hand in front of your face. That seemed to snap you out of your trance, blinking a few times before you looked at him, smiling softly.

You threw your arms around his neck, pulling him in for a hug, not caring how much the wound hurt from this. "Th-Thank you, Tan.. I mean it.." You spoke softly, feeling tears well up in your eyes. Partly from the pain, partly because you were just so happy.

Tan was beyond confused, but hugged you back, smiling softly as he took in your sweet scent. "You don't need to thank me, love.. It's the least I can do.." He hummed, wanting this moment to last forever but, you eventually pulled away, looking into his eyes.

"Did.. Did you really mean what you said about me..? A-About me being a... a goddess..?" You asked, your voice shaking a bit. You hoped he'd say yes, hoping that he truly meant it so you could confess.

"Of course I did.. You're beautiful.. Stunning.. Fuck- Words can't des-"

You didn't let him finish, quickly pulling him into a kiss. He was surprised but quickly melted into it, kissing you back as his hands found their way into your hair, entangling with your soft locks.

By this point Ladybug had read the room and left while he still had his life, knowing that as soon as Tan could, he'd kill him.

The two of you never wanted to pull away, kissing for as long as your breaths would allow before having to pull away. "I-.. I really like you Tan.. Liked you for a while now.." You shyly admitted, panting softly as you tried to regain your breath. "I like you too.. So so much.." He hummed, smiling at you lovingly as he cupped your face.

"Fuckin' finally! I was worried I'd actually have to quit." Lemon's voice could be heard from the doorway making the both of you chuckle. "Jesus Lem.. You're alive?" Tan looked over at him, for the first time breaking eye contact with you. "Yeah. Someone drugged the water I drank. Did you not check my pulse?"

Tan looked away shyly, slightly embarrassed he jumped the gun. "To play devil's advocate, you do have a shit ton of blood on you Lem." You hummed, trying to defend Tan. Lemon just rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Let's just get off the train at the next stop, yeah?

All of you agreed and the train came to a stop not long after. All of you exited and no one was seriously harmed! Well, besides you. After a quick trip to the ER to get the bullet removed, and the wound sewn up, you all retreated back to your separate hotel rooms. Little would Lemon know (that's a like he totally knew), Tan would sneak out of their room to go into yours just to make sure you're okay. But what ended up happening instead was more than fine as well.

Just a post to give appreciation to all the underappreciated characters in my fav medias rn! (And more opinions on HOO)

Hazel Levesque:

- Y'all need to stop saying how she's "harmless" like yes she's sweet and loves everyone, I agree, (I mean she literally gave up Elysium so her mom wouldn't go to the fields of punishment) but that doesn't mean she wouldn't hurt a fucking fly! She is VERY powerful! Like killed a Giant by herself at THIRTEEN powerful!!

Frank Zhang:

- Same thing for him actually!! And he's actually not as sweet! He definitely is but that's because he tries to be!! He is actually so angry all the time!! I mean your dad having his personality crisis inside your head 24/7??? Hell yeah I'd be mad too!!

- Also the amount of times he expressed how uncomfortable that transition was!! It was more uncomfortable than before!! Like fat Frank for the win please!!

- But you guys have the same problem with him as Hazel!! He WOULD hurt a fly!! He took down an entire army by his damn self!!!

Jason Grace:

so my brain is incapable of thinking about anything other than hazbin hotel atm which means its time for another pointless commentary on something no one other than me cares about (probably)!

like okay ppl talk a lot about whether alastor cares about charlie and i do think he likes her but tbh i think its pretty minimal at this point

HOWEVER, charlie is getting so attached, i've watched ready for this 7353 as one does and the WAY her gaze always goes back to/lingers on him and is so obviously affectionate (like the first pic is after rosie gave her the cane, but after a quick grateful glance, charlie gives looks back at alastor like THAT)

rosie just went full best mom award with charlie about vaggie - while all alastor did was half-listen to a rant and give her his radio for a song AFTER forcing a deal out of her before even giving her the info - and hes STILL getting the majority of her gratitude

like we all know hell's greatest dad was completely about pissing off lucifer for alastor but you can't tell me that charlie isnt starting to see alastor in a kind of fatherly role - she was actually pretty receptive during the song

and contrasted with some of the looks she gives lucifer like,

its more than just her going along with it...

look how EXCITED she is shes just like me fr

anyways all this to say i think its gonna break her heart pretty terribly when he inevitably betrays her and the hotel (bc at this point it would be a letdown if he didnt) and uses that deal against her

like i dont think alastor wants to hurt charlie, and whatever happens will be more of a collateral damage situation, but hes definitely not above doing it for his own gains atm

SO YEAH, im super interested to see how they write the two of them going forward from that bc i absolutely think they'll end up back on the same side and everything will be be resolved but i am fascinated to know what that looks like for these two

Thank you for your curiosity over my babies though anon! It gave me the motivation to write this several times over lmfao

warnings: mentions of dick size, tons of justin (yandere ex & jock) slander, slander towards filipinos cause i hate my fellow countrymen sometimes, attempted murder, cheating (by reader)

So, Justin is pretty smart. He knew what he was getting into from the beginning. He knew the risks. He knew that he’d potentially get killed.

His archetype is morseso based on the bad boy who’s smart rather than the usual jock. I’m thinking of making someone else the himbo or even making a bimbo/thembo but we’ll see.

So, despite his grades being rock bottom due to the Yan! Faculty, Yan! Student Council, and Yan! Rich Students teaming up to end his academic life, they can’t change his wrinkly brain.

Justin prepared every meal of his (male wife material fr fr) and shared them with you to squash any attempts at poisoning.

He got buff(er) and attended Aikido + Boxing lessons to help defend himself when he’s apart from you.

Did I mention he’s like, the tallest, buffest dude in school? (Which isn’t a huge achievement in a school set in my universe’s version of the Philippines.)

( Fun Fact: Midnight Darling is set just a little south east of The Guest is God )

Canonically speaking, my character design sketches of him is just the genderbent version of the mc. Albeit his fashion sense included less b l a c k and is leaning more to the basic sports for brains guy style. So he technically is on equal footing with you in everything if not excels more.

But he’s unfortunately late to the party.

And he gets slandered to hell and back every single day.

I mean, if they can’t kill him in the physical sense, might as well emotionally damage him til he breaks, right?

Your poor goons had to pull a lot of strings and delete so many goddamn posts about him. Many rumors and articles were about his appearance, his terrible grades and how he’s definitely not worthy of you. A lot of those posts shit on his dick size.

Your goons mostly did it for your approval, they couldn’t care less about him. They also made sure to destroy the social lives of those that questioned your decision to date him. Sure, they sooner want him dead and all, but arguing against the decision of your being was utterly disgraceful. Horrid to even think about doing.

In addition to all that, you had to publicly cheat on him just to lessen some of the blows. He has received so much footage of you being with someones else that people have begin to add that he likes getting cucked to all the rumors that has piled up.

And don’t get me wrong, most if not all your harem are down bad masochists, but it still hurts seeing you with someone else.

Yeah, Justin would have already lost his sanity with the shit he has to deal with everyday if he were anything close to normal.

actually should i just drop a completely unprompted long take on The Sun and The Star?? nobody asked for this but my audience is 1, and it is me. behold, my list:

Things I Liked:

Nico book!! yeah Nico book, book for Nico!!

Seriously though, this was such an awesome book for queer representation. Nico was such an icon for queer kids like me growing up, at a time when it wasn’t very common to see gay people in media, and he had a happy ending! it’s really cool that he has his own book, and kids today will have this.

Nico and Will were compelling characters, they were well-written and play off each other nicely!

They gave Nico PTSD, which I thought actually made a lot of sense and seemed realistic for his situation. I mean, the guy’s been through a lot.

nostalgia. plain and simple. i am simply biased to like this book bc it is Percy Jackson-related.

Things I Disliked:

i was super surprised that Nico was relatively cool with Will coming to Tartarus with him, especially given the prophecy? i thought Will would have to sneak down there! felt strange that Nico would be pretty chill with his boyfriend coming to Literal Hell with him, especially since it’s a major source of his PTSD.

Will didn’t bring a weapon?? Nico was like “eh whatever” when it came to packing food? it’s TARTARUS ! be so much more serious i am begginggg you.

I wish they’d done more with his PTSD? i mean, he had the dreams, but it turns out those were sent by Nyx, so what really was the extent of his ptsd? Especially going back to tartarus, it might’ve been more meaningful for him to shut down or freeze up in an important moment, or exhibit more symptoms throughout the book

GOD parts of it were cringe. “cocoa puffs”?? be so fr. ik theyre teens, and teens are ABSOLUTELY cringe, but this didn’t feel like teen cringe, it felt more like “older people trying to write teen lingo” cringe

going to Percy’s mom’s house felt super shoe-horned in. i can maybee understand wanting to iris-message Percy and Annabeth, but the whole “we don’t know his schedule thing” was a pretty thinly-veiled excuse

the reveal that Nico was playing Mythomagic in the 40s???? ?? this was such a small detail but it really got to me. no WAY have the “greek pokémon cards” been around 80 YEARS. broke my immersion lol

They didn’t have to drink from the Phlegethon once? What happened to the acid air! i know they were eating a lot of ambrosia, but if that was healing them, it’d be nice if the book explicitly mentioned it. and like, they slept there overnight, and not one mention of their throats hurting bc of the,, poison air? i mean this was a majorrr mechanic of percy and annabeth’s time there! they mentioned it like once or twice i think, but that was about it.

also, in the tartarus flashback, Nico didn’t know what the Phlegethon was! yk, one of only 5 rivers that flows through the Underworld?? the one that’s essential to its ecosystem bc it ensures the tortured stay alive?? as someone who’s very familiar with the underworld, there’s no way he wouldn’t know what it was- if Annabeth would recognize it, he would too!

In general, the descriptions of Tartarus were toned way down from Percy and Annabeth’s experience. i reread HoH in preparation for when this book came out, and you can really tell the difference.

I think at one point in HoH, the true nature of Tartarus was revealed to Percy, and he said something like, “this must’ve been how Nico experienced Tartarus the whole time” and that always stuck with me. turns out, not really? and the book made up new mechanics about the “true nature” being revealed the longer you stayed there, which wasn’t really a thing in HoH

Nyx was a weird villain. why would a protogenos care about some random demigod “coming to the dark side”?? demigods are like ants to her. and Nico is like, a well-established hero, who’s consistently characterized as someone who is very good, and looks out for the forgotten. he’s been through some things, but his “goodness” has never reallyyy been in question (except for like, a tinyyy bit of the 4th pjo book, but still, not really)

What was the purpose of Nyx sending Nico those nightmares, when Bob was already the set trap? even Nico mentioned it was redundant, but then the authors never elaborated on it

Nico’s demons were a cool reveal, but I don’t see how they fulfilled the prophecy at all. are they really of equal value to a Titan? and Nico’s emotions are still inside him, they’re just also manifested on the outside too now. Plus, the cacodemons came with him, so he didn’t even leave them behind?? When I originally heard the prophecy, I thought maybe Bob’s essence would split from Iapetus, and they’d leave the evil titan behind while escaping with Bob. Honestly, i still think that makes more sense than what actually happened.

Wasn’t Bianca reincarnated?? how were they able to have that conversation?? ig it could be written off as “hades’ magic or whatever” but it felt like a MAJOR oversight

WHERE was Hazel??? that made no sense. she was such a big part of Nico’s life in HoO, i don’t know if they mentioned it even once?? Why in the world would Nico call Piper at the end? ik it made sense thematically, since Piper is also queer, but it felt so shallow and surface level. like “ooh let’s have the two gay characters talk”. in reality Nico and Piper never talked in HoO, it really doesn’t make sense for them to talk now, as the final part of the book? where is his sister?? it honestly would’ve been nice to see her reaction to his queerness as well, since she’s from another century. it could’ve been a cool little “being from a different time is not an excuse for homophobia, look hazel’s an ally” thing! idk lol i just wanted to see her again

Things Other People Disliked That I Thought Were Fine, Actually:

people said Nico was OOC, but i thought he was pretty in line with the Nico of ToA. A year or so has passed since the Nico of HoO, and this is the first time he’s been in a really good place. He’s allowed to act happy!

some people reallyyy hated Will in this book, but i thought he was alright. he was a flawed character, but it’s good when characters have flaws! plus he was like half-awake and drained for most of the book, obv he’s not gonna be on his best behavior!

i saw people saying the book was too sappy, but i think it was alright! was it sappy? yeahhh. but like, it was a book explicitly for queer representation, go big or go home right? i’m glad kids today have this!

i saw a lot of people arguing that the book was cringe, in CONTRAST to the previous percy jackson books. and yea, it was cringe sometimes. but this is a well-established precedent within the percy jackson series !!! i hatee to say this but. be so genuine and fr with me rn. are you gonna tell me “seaweed brain” “wise girl” isn’t,,, cringe? the quips have ALWAYS been “erm, it’s right behind me, isn’t it?”-style. i knowww it’s hard to hear but the only difference is that we’re older now and can recognize it.

people were arguing that Tartarus was Percy and Annabeth’s thing, and that sending Nico down there with Will was infringing on that. but i reallyy disagree. Nico was the FIRST person down there, and he did it alone! if Tartarus was anyone’s “thing”, it’d be Nico’s. and besides, if you’re gonna make a Nico and Will-centric book, what better way then to send them through the gauntlet of Tartarus, symbolically saying that their journey was just as valid as Percy and Annabeth’s?

Anyways, there’s my extremely long take on TSaTS. I know it seems like i had a lot of negative things to say about it, but i actually really liked the book overall. Did it have questionable writing choices and weird moments of characterization? yeah a little bit. but i still enjoyed it so much! Absolutely feel free to disagree with me, i’m actually really curious to see what other people thought of the book!!

Hot Take Bunny Headcanons and Responses to Common Bunny Arguments that Really Aren’t Even Hot Takes Now That I’m Reading Over Them But Whatever Lol.

I’m gonna start off with some good ol’ headcanons.

Butters is a short king and Kenny is a tall king. That’s just how it is.

I headcanon that although Butters is fairly secure in his identity as an AMAB, he still finds comfort in, and even encourages, feminine pet names. Kenny calls him “princess,” “wife,” and very jokingly, “babygirl”

Butters smokes. Kenny is a stoner. Argue with ya mama. Also Kenny gets pissed sometimes because Leo gets lipgloss on his blunts and it just throws off his mojo. But he can’t stay mad at him for long <3

Bunny is a pretty couple. I don’t care they just are. Kenny has a very pretty face, very charming and very handsome. And Butters. Butters is fucking gorgeous. All of his bullies in elementary school got ugly. Him, though? He got his glow up.

I am a huge fan of flirtatious Butters. LIKE. HUGE FAN.

Bunny is ADHD x ADHD couple I’m correct I’m correct I’m correct.

I actually really like the idea of rebellious reckless Kenny. Like, that’s my shit right there. Because if he is, and he gets hurt, that gives Butters an excuse to doctor him up and be all fluffy with him.

All of my other “hot-take” headcanons are inappropriate. So I’m not gonna talk about them-

What I wanna do now is take a minute (or twenty) to talk about common discourse-starters in the Bunny fandom.

But first, I wanna reiterate one more time. When I say butters is gnc, he is a gnc CREATUREEEEE. He is hyper-femme (me fr). He has meltdowns about his trauma, then covers his tears with makeup (me fr), he expresses his feelings through his sewing machine (kinda sorta me fr), has the best outfits in school (me fr), and will key your car :)

But don’t assume that I also believe he’s a meak, powerless, washed up little baby just because I headcanon that he’s gnc (If you automatically associate femininity with any of these traits, I’m gonna give you the nastiest side eye.) Butters, from what I can understand, is a slick little guy. He’s shady, he’s a gossiper, he’s prone to snapping at people, and I’m happy (<- lying) to admit that he has this weird jealousy relationship thing going on with women. Personality ≠ Hair and Makeup and feminine outfits. Those are two totally seperate things.

Protective Kenny

In terms of Bunny, people say that Kenny would not be Butters’ protector/save his little meow meow from the evil Stephen-Wephen. I’d like to argue that both of these aren’t outlandish ideas. They just need to be done right in order to seem legit.

Protective Kenny is such a real and accurate headcanon because…that’s who he is! That’s what he does! He protects his little sister from their questionable foster home and strange new school, he protects his friends from Cthulu’s clutches by stating that he’ll die for good if it means that his friends would be safe, he voluntarily goes to hell to protect the fucking world!

Question, if this boy is willing to sacrifice so much to make sure nothing harms who/what he loves, why is it so jaw-dropping to say that he would do so for his boyfriend?

I do get that this headcanon can be trivializing because, yeah, it does kinda bolster the whole “meak little overly-dependent meow meow” pretense onto Butters. Yes, Butters most likely will stand up to his parents one day all by himself, but what happens when Stephen inevitably responds negatively? I feel like Butters would double down after seeing Stephen’s reaction to being yelled at. Because snapping and delivering one loud, detailed, emotional monologue triggered by years of hurt, anger, and mental disintegration isn’t going to magically undo the complience, discipline, and obedience Stephen has drilled into his head.

Butters is going to back down and go back to obeying his father because it’s instinctual. And because of that, he needs someone to step in and encourage him to not fall into this headspace. He needs someone to let him know that what he feels isn’t disobedience, it’s his conscience recognizing that this is bullshit. And if that backfires, then yeah, Kenny’s gonna take matters into his own hands.

Now, the dramatic dinner table scene that ultimately leads to a shootout between Mr Stotch and Kenny while Butters watches on in fear while pissing his pants, and then Kenny shooting Mr and Mrs Stotch dead and running away with Butters to California (or vice versa) is kind of a stretch. But to defend the people who may see it as one big showdown: it’s South Park! You think these characters are going to sit over cups of tea and have a civil conversation? No! Sure, you’re allowed to dislike that outcome and dislike the fact that people write it in fanfics, but you can’t really blame authors for writing it this way because the source material is batshit insane. Think about it this way, if Matt and Trey were to write a scene where Butters stands up to his father and Kenny is there to back him up, do you think they would either:

A) Write it like this: Butters blows up at his dad, his dad retaliates, they eventually settle down and have a reasonable conversation, and then everything is fixed…

B) Write it like this: Butters blows up at his dad, his dad retaliates, Kenny steps in, Mr Stotch attacks him, they get into a gunfight with lasers and condoms rain down from the sky and Mrs Stotch flashes her tits and there’s totally unsubtle political commentary in the form of a satirical new character nobody cares about and Holy Shit, is that Joe Biden on a bicycle?!?!

Idk. I’m neither Matt nor Trey. So anyway, Kenny is a protective boyfriend.

Stephen-Hates-Kenny

I honestly don’t think Stephen would hate Kenny as much as Bunny fans think he would. Although he’s a crude kid and one that’s mysterious and questionable when it comes to making money, it’s not like he’d be outright vitriolic towards him at first sight.

What I think does happen is that Stephen starts to dislike Kenny because he can tell that Kenny has an obvious influence over his son. If his son doesn’t meet the standards that he aggressively sets for him, and he knows that an outside force is disturbing that process, then yeah. I would assume that Stephen wouldn’t like whoever that “outside force” is because that person is taking control away from him. Not because he’s poor, or a manwhore, or even because Stephen and Stuart may or may not dislike each other. It’s simply because he’s no longer allowed to manipulate and warp his son into what he believes should be the standard, because Butters is starting to think for his own and not living by the ideals and harsh life lessons his father is instilling in him.

Homophobic Stephen Stotch

Okay, this one has takes that I both agree and disagree with. Some Bunny fans think that Stephen would be totally homophobic and unsupportive of his relationship, others believe that he wouldn’t care much in that regard and even support him. Both sides just seem fundamentally weird? To me? I don’t think that he’s homophobic, per se, but I definitely don’t think he’d support it full out.

The main evidence people use in this debate to prove that Stephen isn’t homophobic is the fact that Stephen Stotch…is literally gay himself. He has a history of going to gay bathouses and watching explicit gay films. So yeah, if this is a thing, then how would he be homophobic? Easy answer. Stephen doesn’t seem all too proud of himself for his behavior. In the same episode, he expresses to his wife that he doesn’t want to be this way. So yeah, he’s fruity, but in a “Catholic gay man is ashamed of his wicked ways and wants to undo his sins before God” way, or whatever the hell.

But that isn’t it, there’s another piece of evidence that argues that he is homophobic, and that’s the infamous “Butters Bisexual” episode. When Butters is almost tricked into sexually gratifying Cartman, his father walks in. Petrified, he sends him away to a gay conversion camp. Pretty harsh stuff, and pretty telling of where he stands in terms of homosexuality, specifically when it pertains to his son. At the end of the episode, though, he…accepts? His son for being bi-curious. And then the bi-curiosity is no longer explored nor mentioned or alluded to for the duration of the show up to season 26.

I feel like another vital piece of evidence that happens to be forgotten when having this conversation is how Stephen responds to Butters getting into a relationship period. He doesn’t seem apalled by his son getting a girlfriend at all, leaving us with the conclusion that Stephen isn’t against the prospect of his son finding a partner. But it still leaves a few questions unanswered, the main one being If Stephen is okay with a straight relationship, what would his reaction to a gay relationship be?

In my opinion, I really think it’s all a matter of perception and interpretation. The problem in this discourse isn’t exactly the idea of Stephen being homophobic or supportive. (either interpretation is backed up by canon, so it’s a matter of choice really) The main issue that people take in this aspect of Bunny is the extremity of either interpretation. Rampant Homophobe Stephen Stotch kicking his son out and murdering his son’s promicuous boyfriend v.s Accepting Healing Understanding Stephen Stotch who loves his son and embraces his son and his boyfriend with loving, caring arms. Neither of these are accurate responses to the supposed scenario of Kenny and Butters dating to me.

Raging Homophobe? No.

Accepting Ally Parent? Not exactly.

Closeted Gay Man who renounces his own homosexuality as well as his son’s? Yeah, that’s probably it. But IMO a combination of both sides of the discourse can be accurate and interesting if explored with nuance and an extra dose of consideration. I’m down with either.

Womanizer/Cheater Kenny

Uh. Idk. I do think it’s a little strange that people translate “10 Year Old Boy is exposed to sexual content and infatuated with it” to “He will grow up and get around with many girls (and maybe many boys).” Ultimately, though, it isn’t something I have extreme hatred towards, moreso something that I just. Scratch my head at. And don’t really have any need to talk about. Then again, it’s not a headcanon that has no evidence to back it up. Kenny does pursue sexual encounters even at a young age. He spent what I’m assuming to be multitudes of money to buy a concert ticket and condoms, and then he sat down and watched over an hour of said concert, solely to get a BJ from Tammy Warner. So, yeah, maybe he is seeking out stuff he shouldn’t be seeking. Plus, when you take puberty and hormones into consideration, Kenny might find himself persuing a few sexual encounters as a teenager.

One scenario that I see in Bunny fics a lot that really doesn’t make sense to me is Kenny selling himself for money. Like, yeah, okay, that headcanon is also backed up by canon. He was offered $20 (I think?) to give a popular radio host a BJ. But idk? I feel like that’s something the fandom should talk about more.

Cheating Kenny just pisses me off. Like, what? The most loyal character on this show would not cheat on any of his partners, and he sure as hell wouldn’t cheat on Butters. And you can play the “it’s for angst purposes!” card all you want, but out of all of the angsty shit both of these characters go through, you wanna take the easy way out? Yeah, no. We’re not even gonna go there.

Going Native

“Going Native had no particular moments that would ever allude to Kenny and Butters becoming a thing!”

Yeah. Exactly. That’s kinda the point of crackships. You don’t need any pivitol moment to justify the ship, you just need two characters, an Ao3 account, and a broad imagination. Besides, Going Native develops Kenny and Butters’ friendship. And where there’s friendship, there’s also potential for a romantic relationship!

Angst vs Fluff

I’m sorry, but if you base a ship’s validity/quality on the angst-to-fluff ratio, I just think that’s rather silly. People often make the claim that Bunny is a boring ship because it’s too fluffy and every time I see that take I just have to internally face palm. Isn’t that…good? Isn’t fluff a good thing?

I think the reason people don’t like overly-fluffy ships is because fluffy content in general mostly consists of nothing but cuddling, dates, wedding, domestic endeavors, and overall cuteness. Nothing about fluff makes you think, and that’s the point.

What drives them away from all of that is the obvious lack of sadness. It’s showing only one side of the story. In some cases, people wanna see a breakup, trauma, another breakup, an impromptu suspected cheating arc, character development, some more of that good old trauma, and then you can get to the cuddling. Kind of like a reward for using your brain and analyzing the characters first before portraying the romantic and silly stuff. But if you specifically enjoy the cuteness of the cuddling, then you’re neglecting to mention the characters’ dramatic backstories and placing a magnifying lense on only their good, loving qualities. Which isn’t inherently bad?

Like, yeah, I like angst too. Sometimes, I need to see my babies hurt so that I can see how they cohesively decide to move forward as a couple. Cool, three-dimensionality. But what if I just want to see Kenny and Butters rub their noses together like cute baby cows in love? What if I wanna see them awkwardly fumble and cutely make mistakes in an effort to make their first date the most perfect evening of their lives? Shit, what if I just wanna read about them having a pillow fight and playing footsies under the covers? Wanting either of these things is not a bad thing to want.

Now it’s very plausible that I’m just running my mouth here and people simply want to read about character depth in fanfics. That’s fine! We all have our preferences! But when you start disliking a ship simply because the popular consensus among the ship’s fanbase is that it’s fluffy, then I just think that’s a little silly.

In my opinion, yes! Bunny is a very fluffy ship! However, with both of these characters having a history of trauma and abuse on them, chances are you’re not going to get fluff 100% of the time. There will be fights, there will be hardships. Hell, if people are bold enough to portray such a thing in fanfic, and if it’s done in a way that is tasteful and in no way romanticized, then there may even be some abuse or manipulation thrown in there as well. It’s not a crazy concept, the cycle of abuse is a real-life thing that real-life couples struggle with.

Whether or not these struggles are portrayed is up to the author of the work. But if you don’t see any of that in Bunny fanfics, then you are capable of being the author that takes that risk and writes about it in your own fanwork!

ugh, me too. i refuse to believe the vanserra family is that fucked up to where they never got along and they all dislike each other. i know beron has been pitting them against each other for literally centuries smh.

So, in my fictional universe, the order of the brothers is as follows: Eris, Pyrolas (Pyro), Conleth (aka Connie 🥹), Oakland (Oak), Finch & Foxe (twins, both deceased), and Lucien.

We know Eris. We love Eris.

Pyro, man what a hot head. We've discovered a little bit about him through You Know I Always Liked Playing with Fire. He's messy. Second born, second best. Never enough to live up to his older brother. Beron has pitted them against each other for the longest time. Deep down, Pyro really just wants someone to be proud of him. But he's a little twisted because he's never had love and all he's seen is the piss poor excuse of a father treating his mom like shit. Except for when he found out about Lucien and his partner. There was a flicker of guilt as he watched the twins pin Lu down while his lover perished before them all. He's so incredibly hurt that he takes it out on others, on his brothers, parents, people of the court, his partners. He wants someone to hurt as much as he hurts. He's a master at the art of façade. No one knows that he wants love because he's so good at pretending he doesn't need it and pushing people away.

Connie, my baby. Ngl I had him as deceased for a bit until that anon reminded me that he was alive. so here he is, im introducing him. Conleth is third born, middle of the pack. he's pretty docile compared to pyro, but he really does enjoy the simple of things in life. he's second mommy's boy, coming after the biggest mommy's boy of all, eris. he's lethal with a bow but those skilled hands are good at many things, like in the bedroom or in the kitchen. he can make a mean pie. i'm feeling as i write this that he's just like us and has a MAD crush on cass and az, have you seen those wings? those powerful bodies? cuz connie dreams of it (he's just like me fr). he keeping it much on the down low because of daddy Ber.

Oakland, love him. Oak is the rational one. He appears in The Autumn Chill, and he's the one that none of the brothers can ever stay mad at. He's the mediator, the strategist. He sees everything and anything and is ever-calculating. Everyone adores him, he's so sweet, but can also put on a show when he needs to, just as all of them can. In Creepy Campfire, we see his playful side, joining in on his brothers jokes because he likes it when his brothers are happy. He wants a better world for his court even though he knows that berons power probably won't fall to him after he dies, he'll stick by the brother that does and off him his intelligence.

Then there's Finch and Foxe. I can see them being like night and day or super fucking similar. cliche to say night and day, i know, but what if they were fire and wind? Foxe gives more bad boy than Finch (who will do whatever his twin asks of him) and they're trouble makers through and through. Foxe is fire while Finch is wind (appropriately named). Where Foxe sets a blazing fire Finch is there to add fuel to the flames. They back each other and aren't worried for title of heir to the throne because they know it won't happen for some time, they'll discuss it when the time nears, if it should happen. both playboys, and i bet they've even shared women between the both of them too. they give that vibe, as strange as it sounds. But, they are no longer, killed off by Lucien and Tam in the books and also in Safe Haven. They held down Lu while Beron killed his lover and they found sick delight in watching, in having a hand in it. They're both twisted as hell tbh.

And of course, Lucien. We know him and we love him too.

so yeah, i guess this is how i'd view them in my personal world 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

Penelope had looked up at Dave and then they both just stared at you, Aaron, and Mason with sympathetic eyes. You never came to Aaron to bring Jake into their lives. You were just trying to get out of your relationship, to lead a better life for Mason.

But now, Jake knows where you are, he knows Aaron has been with you. He’s never been fond of Aaron, especially when he knows you and Aaron have a history, that you two were engaged and you still loved him even though he broke your heart. Jake knew that, Jake was the one to help you get over Aaron in the first place. Jake was there for you when Aaron wasn’t. There’s never been a doubt that you would ever cheat on Jake though.

As much as you couldn’t stand him, you still fell into that trap of loving him no matter what. He was your husband, and he still is. You don’t even know if Aaron still loved you. Like, who could love you after what you’ve been through? Trauma, abuse, physical, emotional, and mental, who the hell was to love you if you couldn’t love yourself?

You stood up, taking Mason from Aaron’s arms and quickly packing the bag that was once packed. Aaron stood up next to you, shedding his suit jacket quickly so that he can maneuver more easily.

“Y/n, what are you doing?”

“I’m going home.”

Penelope looked at you and then looked at Aaron, a mix of worry, fear, and sadness flashed in her eyes while saying, “He said he’ll kill you.”

“He’ll say it, but he doesn’t mean it. Trust me, I would know. I’ve been with him for 11 years. This. This is my life. Empty threats, yeah he’ll hit me, maybe throw something at me, but he won’t kill me. I’m who he needs. He can’t take care of Mason by himself, he won’t cook dinner for himself, he needs me.”

“No, Y/n, he doesn’t need you. I’m not letting you leave. You don’t know when he’ll snap, if anything, today might be the day. I can’t let you walk out of my life like that. I can’t let today of all days be the last time I see you alive. I won’t do it.”

Today was supposed to be your wedding day, all those years ago. You should have been celebrating your anniversary today, but instead, you’re fighting to get out of an abusive relationship. In any other world, it should have been you and Aaron and your 6 kids. But the world you were living in, didn’t work out. You wish it would have.

Every single day, your heart and mind was filled with regret for not fighting harder. It only made it worse when Jake started to point out your flaws and would say things like “no wonder why Aaron left you” or “Aaron was lucky to get out of his engagement before he married you”.

It was hurtful. What you thought you had with Aaron was the best thing to ever happen to you. You got with Jake and the honeymoon phase was over shortly, he quickly became very mean, and rude, every word in the dictionary that you could describe that awful man.

You started at Aaron when he brought up today. You don’t know what his coworkers know about you two, but they sure as hell were going to find out one way or another.

“Um, sir, why is today so important?”

You looked at Aaron’s tear-filled eyes as he held your son in his arms. The son that you wish Aaron and you got to have, but instead the son you and Jake had. When Aaron took a breath, it reminded you of those same eyes that stared at you on your and Jake’s wedding day. The eyes that you were trying to plead with to say “I object” at the wedding.

“I only want to say it once. Where’s the rest of your team?”

Rossi had moved to go move the team into the conference room and Penelope followed behind him, allowing you and Aaron some privacy. When you heard the door shut, you continued packing. Aaron quietly rocked Mason back and forth, not a word spoken from either of you.

Until you heard a sniffle. It didn’t come from you and it wasn’t a Mason sniffle, it was Aaron’s. When you looked at him again, he was sitting on his desk holding your son and staring at you while he had been crying.

“Aaron, you can’t cry and hold my son. You can’t cry in your office. You can’t cry on today of all days.”

You took your sleeping son from his arms and put him in the car seat. When you got him buckled in, you put your backpack on and looked at Aaron.

“Why can’t I cry? Huh? Mason should have been ours. You and Jake should have never happened. We should be married, we should have had our 6 kids or as many as you wanted. I was loving another woman when I was still in love with you. She died because of me. Jake will kill you, Y/n. You have to realize that.”

“No. No. You don’t get to do that. You can’t say that. Jake won’t kill me. I’m going to him before he comes here. You disabled the tracker, it’s fine. Mason is not ours. You don’t know Jake as I do. Aaron, You have Jack. I’m sure Haley didn’t die because of you.”

“She did. Everything that I feared with you, happened to her. I couldn’t see my son for 3 months because he was in witness protection. I missed his birthday, I missed his first soccer game, and I missed out on 3 months of interaction because a serial killer was after them. She was murdered by a serial killer, George Foyet, the Reaper. What if that had been you? What if I had been left alone to raise 6 kids.”

You didn’t know the details of Hailey’s death. You only knew that she was dead because of Sean. He had reached out to you to tell you. He always rooted fro you and Aaron from the beginning. He always wanted you and Aaron to be together for the rest of your lives, but it didn’t work out like that.

“Aaron, you hold a special place in my heart. You always will. You were the first and last man I had ever loved. You were the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I know you wouldn’t have given me the amount of trauma that Jake has given me and will continue to give me, especially after this stunt I pulled. He’ll slap me around a bit, it’s nothing I can’t handle.”

When you looked at Mason in his carrier, you then looked up at Aaron and stepped closer to him, taking his hand in yours. Oh, how you missed the feeling of his hand in yours. 2

“I’m sorry you went through losing Haley. I didn’t know the details of the death, when Sean told me she was killed I didn’t want to press you for questions when I met up with you. I just wanted to talk about good things, especially when I knew it’d be the last time I would see you. We don’t have any children together, we never got married. Life could have turned out much different if we both fought harder, but we didn’t. That’s on both of us. Each of us got an ending that neither one of us wanted, but that’s nobody’s fault to blame but ours.”

“I wish we would have gotten our happy ending. It deserved to be you and I and 6 little kids that look like the perfect mix of you and I.”

You gave him a sympathetic look and then looked at the clock on his wall. It was only then that you noticed a small picture of you and him from all those years ago on his desk. You simply wiped your tear and let go of his hand.

“Your team is waiting for us. I want to thank them, tell them who you really were to me, and then I’m leaving.”

You went to pick up Mason’s car seat from the ground and Aaron had to turn away to ignore the bruises and cuts that covered your lower back.

It was tearing him to pieces knowing you were going to walk out of the BAU today and he might never see you alive again. He didn’t want to see you in a casket, him dropping roses off at the cemetery once a week, watching Mason grow up in an orphanage because his only loving parent was dead and the son of a bitch that killed his mom would be behind bars as long as Aaron lived.

“Let me carry him. Relax.”

Aaron took Mason’s car seat carrier from me and we walked into the conference room. The team all stopped talking and looked at you and Aaron. Aaron placed Mason’s car seat down on the table and he stood by it, gently rocking Mason back to sleep.

“So, you’re probably all wondering more about me. I’m sure you all know I’ve had some type of past with Aaron, so here it goes. I was best friends with Sean growing up, then I slowly fell in love with Aaron as he did with me. We got engaged 13 years ago, and about two months before our wedding, I ended the engagement.”

You watched Aaron tense up. In a room full of profilers, only you knew that he tensed up because you weren’t the one who ended the engagement, he was. He knew you were lying for him. You shouldn’t be protecting him. But that’s the girl who he was in love with. The one who put everyone else first but herself. He fell in love with you because you two were similar, he put everyone else first before he put himself, and that’s why both of you would be taken care of. Well, that’s how it first worked out in his mind, but here, watching you, there’s no way in hell he’s going to lose you again.

You took a deep breath and continued, looking away from Aaron.

“Today was supposed to be our wedding anniversary. We remained friends after the engagement. Well, it took me a long time to come around to him because I had so much guilt about it. It took me a year before I was going out and had a good time. I met Jake shortly after but then started seeing him romantically. He knew all about Aaron. Jake was the one to tell me not to blame myself, but then Jake and I got together, and Aaron and I started doing monthly lunches when we could. I learned he fell in love with Haley, and he learned about Jake, but only the good, I was too scared to tell him the bad. So yes, we do have a history. I’m leaving back to my home. You’ve all been great to me, I wish I would have met you all under better circumstances. Thank you for getting the tracker out of my car. I hope we meet again. You all have been wonderful.”

“No, no, you can’t go. He’ll kill you. He said he’ll kill you.”

“Oh, sweet, sweet, Penelope. I’ve heard a lot about you. It’s your sunshine that gets me through the days, knowing that Aaron’s got sunshine at work when he’s not with Jack.”

The team stood closer to you and you shook everyone’s hand. Not a set of dry eyes in that room. You felt Penelope squeeze your body and heard her let out a little sob. Why were they crying so much over you? You don’t know them personally. You loved that they were so kind to you and your son, but you didn’t know them personally. They didn’t know everything that went on in your life. They didn’t know what you were going home to.

The only person in the entire room, who knew what you were going through, was the one man who put you into this position. Had he never broken your heart, you’d still be with him. He had been abused by his father, he was a victim, too.

When you got to Aaron, you just looked at him. The words failing you once again after all these years. You weren’t ready to say goodbye. You knew that you wouldn’t be seeing him again, especially when Jake founds out you had the tracker disabled and you went into a government building.

Rossi said, “We’ll give you two some privacy.”

When the team slowly filed out of the room, Rossi shut the door behind him and you looked at Aaron. Simultaneously, you both grabbed each other into a hug. You needed to tell Aaron you’d be okay. The problem was, that’s what you were telling yourself, and your words were not coming out of your mouth. You thought you began to speak but you realized it was him.

“I need you to be okay, please. I promise I will put Jake in jail. I will get you sole custody of Mason. Even though I’m not a practicing attorney, if I have to become a lawyer again, I will. When this is all over, I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you. I just need you to be okay. Please stay with me. Stay here if you don’t want to stay with Jack and I. Rossi lives in a mansion, he has an extra bedroom, extra two bedrooms, and he has all the space you need to live with Mason. Just please don’t go, Y/n. I need you to be okay, I’m telling you, Jake will snap. You have to believe me.”

“Aaron, I’m leaving. Okay? I have to go. Just let me go. I need to go back to him. He’ll only be more upset with me if I don’t go back to him.”

Aaron cupped your face. It sent chills down your spine because of the way you felt to be touched by him again. It wasn’t even sexual. You would stand there, in his arms, and just want to be held by him for as long as you could.

Being in Aaron’s arms just felt right. You couldn’t deny the feeling of safe and comfort of being in his arms. A part of you felt guilty for being this way, but for the years of abuse you had to endure, you shouldn’t feel guilty.

“I don’t want to let you go. If I let you go, I will never see you again.”

“Aaron. You have to let me go. Let me face him, give your attorney my work email. I know you can track that down. Well, maybe not you, but Penelope. Penelope can track me down. I go by my maiden name at work, so, please. Have them get in contact with me please.”

You let go of Aaron and saw how upset he was. If he had been this upset with you many years ago, you don’t know if you would have been able to leave him after what he had done to you. He was hurt. You don’t know how he was hurting when you were the one who was in an abusive relationship.

Mason started fussing and you looked at Aaron. He wasn’t ready to say goodbye. He was afraid that he would never get to see you again. He would never get to hold you in his arms again. He was afraid that if he let you walk out, the next time he’d see you is if Jake had beaten you to death. Or what scared him the most was the thought that he’d have to console your son when his mom was in a casket, being put 6 feet deep while Jake would rot in prison. If you wound up dead, Aaron sure as hell was not letting Jake get away with it.

“Aaron, I really have to go. I’m sorry. Whatever happens, just know I have always loved you. You hold a special place in my heart Aaron Hotchner. I’m sorry I didn’t fight harder for us. Don’t blame yourself for whatever happens to me. I’ll be okay. I’m always okay, remember? Thank you for what you have done for me, Aaron. I mean it. You were my one true love. I know I might not have been yours, but just know you were mine. I really have to go. I love you, Hotchner.”

You leaned up, kissing his cheek. You didn’t miss the way his eyes closed when you touched his cheek and kissed it. You didn’t miss how his tear had landed on you when you were saying goodbye to him. You didn’t miss the way your heart broke saying goodbye to one of the good things in your life.

Just as you were walking out of the office, you didn’t miss him whispering, “I love you. Please be safe.”

As you made your way back into your car, you didn’t know what your fate would be. You just took a deep breath, got Mason into his seat, fixed up your car so that it looked clean, and then got in the driver’s seat. As you took one last look around of a safe place, you started to drive back home.

You didn’t know what hell would await you. You didn’t want to think what was to happen in the next hour or so. You just wanted to think of something good. So you thought back to one of yours and Aaron’s happy memories.

**12 years ago**

“Honey? Are you about ready to go? We don’t want to be late for the wedding.”

One of your best friends was getting married. Your were dragging Aaron along with you for the night. Knowing that one of the groomsmen had a thing for you and you weren’t putting up with it tonight. You know he just wanted to get the night over with, get you back home so you two could be in your bed, naked, and spending quality time together.

“I’m coming, Hotchner.”

When you walked down the hallway, he was putting his suit jacket on and he stopped when he saw you.

“Wow. You look absolutely gorgeous.”

“You don’t look so bad yourself.”

As he pulled you into a kiss, he squeezed your butt, making you chuckle. You knew he was going to be handsy tonight. You knew that he’d be love drunk following you around, wherever you were going at the wedding. That’s what made you so excited to marry him. In just a few short months, it was going to be you and him, celebrating your marriage with your friends and family.

“Let’s go to the wedding, we’re going to have a great night. You’ll have all the whiskey you could imagine, we’ll dance a little bit, kiss a little bit, and have some fun.”

“I’m down with that.”

As you two rode in the car together, you singing along to whatever came on the radio, Aaron’s hand on your thigh, and you smiling just made Aaron fall more in love with you. He loved that you were an outgoing person. How you could walk into a room and brighten up anyones day.

As the ceremony went on and the night grew old, you found yourself back on the dance floor with Aaron. He began to smile at you. You were dancing and singing along. You got him to join in too. Maybe it was too mich whiskey in him, maybe it was because he found the person to get him out of his shell. A slow song playing from the DJ as you two danced away.

When both of your heartbeats fell into sink with one another as he held your body close and swayed back and forth to the music, he looked into your eyes, smiling forming on his lips.

“I can’t wait for this to be us at our wedding. Just you and I, on the dance floor, surrounded by our family and friends, swaying to the beat of the music.”

“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life as Mrs. Hotchner.”

“And you will be the best Mrs. Hotchner in the entire world.”

It was that small memory that reminded you how much you loved Aaron. It was a happy moment that you held onto for a long time, especially when you needed to get through the rough patches in your relationship with Jake.

**Aaron had watched you back your car and drive away. He didn’t notice Rossi walked into the room with him until he heard him speak.

“Why are you letting the purest thing in your life get away?”

“She doesn’t want me to go after her, Dave. She doesn’t want me. At some point she did, but Jake knows where she was. She said that nothings going to happen to her, but we’ve seen these cases.”

“Then go after her, Aaron! Protect her.”

“I can’t!”

Tensions were rising between them, but that’s because Aaron’s emotions were coming into play. As a unit chief, he was always able to hide them away for the most part, but not this time. Not when you, the love of his life might wind up dead.

“I’m going to be the reason he kills her. I can’t do that to myself. I can’t let her be the 2nd woman I love, die, because of me. Two little boys motherless because of me. I won’t do it, Dave. I have to trust her. I don’t want too, but I have too. If she says he won’t kill her, maybe he won’t. I don’t want to put her in jeopardy by showing up to try and protect her.”

Dave handed him a case file and said, “This. This is what you’d be protecting her from.”

Aaron was confused. Why was Rossi handing him a file? It wasn’t the BAU’s case. He knows Jake wasn’t a criminal. Well, he wasn’t caught for domestic violence just yet, but Aaron will make sure that happens soon. He knows who you married. A case file is not important. The last thing Aaron wants to do is work on another case.

“What is this?”

“When we were going through her car, we saw a box of photos and letters. We confiscated them to help her case. We didn’t realize she’d be going back. Garcia started reading through some of them, Reid went through all of them. They’re all addressed to you, Aaron. It’s like a box of unsent letters. This file is just an over view. The photos. I have the letters in your office. JJ’s taking Jack for the night, Henry wants a sleepover with him. You can’t be with him when you read those letters. Just know, when you read whatever she wrote, every intimate detail, every curse, every blessing, just know she wrote it for a reason. The monster in there, that’s who you’re trying to protect her from. You’re not the one she needs to be protected from.”**

You didn’t know what your future had in store for you. You didn’t know if you’d be alive tomorrow. You didn’t know if you’d ever get to see the love of your life again. What you do know is that you had happy memories with him, that’s what you needed to hold onto.

Literally, my thoughts throughout the whole chapter were "what the fuck" on different levels/degrees, and by the end of it, I was in shock and then it all hit me about five minutes ago lmao.

Anyways, so I genuinely just think it's like what happened to Atsushi; Sigma's ability is to take information from people, so he's a lot more used to an influx of info in his mind than Atsushi is; however, this was a shit ton of info for him to take in, it's going to take a while to process all of that. (Also his first thought being to tell the Agency AH I can't- also does this mean that Fyodor's plans maybe involve the Agency even more? Man I don't know lmao)

Next, Aya is so slay I hate her dad fr fr lmao xoxo She's so important to the story and I love it. Also, convenient hole there Akutagawa. Anyways xoxo so, we see a lot of humanity still emanating from Aku, so this is very good.

Also, the fact that this gets a reaction from Chuuya like it would if he were human. Chuuya is going to punch Dazai out of anger and infuriation at him mocking him; not because Fyodor has ordered him to.

ALSO, we don't see Dazai's face here, and he's not smiling anymore, but also he isn't moving away from Chuuya? I don't know maybe I'm dumb lol.

Also, another thing?

Like, dog connotations between SKK are fucking rampant, Dazai always calling Chuuya his dog, etc. The phrasing here gets me interested lol.

Also, nobody says "That hurt!" After getting shot, come on now.

But also, his eyes are genuine. They're determined, and they're real. I can't explain lol anyways. Onto the main fucking attraction here.

But, something I will say; I can most definitely agree that Dazai does look very dead in his eyes. That I can most definitely say.

LMAO I just got the most random ass theory in my head; what if Chuuya turned that time-stopping girl into a vampire and she's using her ability for something LMAO THAT'S FOUL my brain is actually so dumb.

He's smug. He's cocky. He has seen him be shot and thinks that he's won. But again, I just can't believe that Asagiri would do that; I know he has the balls to do it, but is it beneficial to the story for Dazai to die? There are too many unanswered questions, too many routes that this could stray down if he does. What about the Agency? What about Atsushi and Aku? What about Chuuya? The PM? Ango? Not to be all "Dazai cannot die he's too important" but yeah, I am going to be all like that. Anyways lol. My point was that the "goodbye" here, MAYBE this is "Operation Goodbye" coming into play. I WILL STAND BY THIS THEORY UNTIL MY FUCKING GRAVE. Which will be a very early one depending on the outcome of the next fucking chapter. But yeah, maybe this is the reason it's called that, and Chuuya will hear this, or even Dazai, and it's like a signal. Also, fuck off if you think that I'll believe Dazai is dead; he got shot in the head at point blank, and still had the energy to smile and be like "Aw yeah I love this" like bruh. Also, maybe Chuuya shot Dazai in the side and the shoulder before and after he shot him in the head so that Fyodor thinks "Oh, he's definitely dead." And Dazai has made sure that the second round in that gun is a blank or it's fucking paint and he replaced it fucking ages ago, whether with the time-stopping ability or he gave Chuuya the gun before he ever even GOT into Meursault, bro I really don't know. I'm sticking by my paint theory and that the bullet in that specific magazine thing is a little paintball. Dazai can literally canonically send himself into cardiac arrest and come back out of that; he did it to Atsushi in 55 minutes when Atsushi scared him. Anyways.

In the camera footage looking one, we see him with both his legs folded and like almost cross-legged with his hands clasped together inside his legs, the same when Aya is pushing the table. Dazai, having been almost drowned/set on fire/suffocated/poisoned, ALSO THE LETHAL POISON THAT IS IN HIS AND FYODOR'S BODIES, WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THAT? LMAO. Anyways, so, Dazai, having been almost drowned/set on fire/suffocated/poisoned, then fell in an elevator and literally almost died as he apparently crawled through the hallway or something, then got shot in the shoulder by Chuuya, only to be apparently shot in the head and killed and shot in the side and the other shoulder. Maybe the bullets are antidotes lmao anyways. So, Dazai, apparently dead. Fukuzawa, having his throat sliced and also apparently, supposedly dead. Atsushi, not supposedly dead, but supposedly about to die, and is certainly in a dangerous situation; someone mentioned on a post I saw before that they feel as if this is building up for the three SKK generations working together, and I agree! Mori hasn't really been seen much; I feel as if he's going to turn up soon. Aku is of course going to either die after Aya rips the sword out or HOPEFULLY just go back to being human; same with Chuuya. I feel as if all of this is somehow planned. I feel like Tanizaki is going to turn up with light snow and the president is actually fine, and the One Order that Fukuchi has isn't real, and Fukuzawa slipped the page from him or something. Because, Tanizaki is literally behind them with Kunikida I think it was? Also, Kenji and Tecchou? Teruko? Where's Jouno? Where's Tachihara? What about the PM members that got turned? What about whatever the fuck Dazai has planned? Bro, I'm so scared but I actually cannot wait.

Also! Something else I saw was somebody saying how similar Fyodor's mental ass fucking scene was with Dazai's and it honestly is! Fyodor getting shot in his left shoulder first, then Dazai in his right, then his left.

Now, just a thing of note; in Christianity and stuff, the left side is usually representative of evil and Satan, whereas the right side is associated with Righteousness and goodwill. Bro, I had this shit drilled into me as a kid, left was bad and right was good. It's just very interesting to me that Fyodor was shot in his left shoulder; representative of evil, and Dazai was shot in the side that it supposed to represent goodness and all things pure, really lmao. Maybe I'm just looking too deep into this, but I found it pretty intriguing.

Anyways, my main point was how similar the scenes are; they're both playing characters that are opposite to their true selves. Though, to be honest, it's a bit of a weird one/situation because we don't actually KNOW their true selves lmao.

I'm watching The Teen Wolf Movie...

The following part is me commenting about the things that I see in the movie while I'm watching it, so the part below will be updated continuously for the next 2 hours

CONCLUSIONS:

I liked it because it's Teen Wolf, one of my favourite series, but I got to say that i'm pretty disappointed.

I particularly loved all the references to Stiles, a way to make him part of the movie without actually being in the movie, loved it.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but for the role he played Liam could have very well not been in the movie. This hurts, but he practically did nothing, he barely spoke. I'm really mad for this, he seemed so useless. And maybe I'm biased but I saw zero chemistry between him and Hikari.

Jeff, you could have used him better, for example I don't know CANONISING THIAM.

I felt the lack of Theo Reaken references, so now I'm going to reply on fanfictions👍

But Hikari too, she had pontential but turn out to be pretty useless.

All the time waiting for Liam to interact with Mason (his best-friend) and Scott (his brother) and... nothing.

Also, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I WAITED ALL THIS TIME JUST TO SEE DEREK HALE DIE... AGAIN!! Even thought I strongly believe that he's not dead, that hurt!!

On a scale from 1 to 10 this movie is a 5.5, could have been definitely better, starting by creating a different story but I liked it. Definitely loved some parts!!

Now, technically there will be a second movie that I will obviously watch cause it's Teen Wolf, and I truly hope that it will be better that the first.

That's it, I just got a lot of unanswered questions
