Okay so I’m the anon with an unpopular hofas opinion.

What Hunt went through in the dungeons was terrible and the fact that he had to go through it twice was exponentially worse. However when he told Bryce that he didn’t want to do it anymore, respectfully, what did the readers want her to do.

They’re in the middle of the war, both of them are wanted across the entire country they can’t exactly just go home and pretend nothing happened. She was incredibly insensitive but like it’s a little late to say that you want to quit now, they have to finish what they started. She was stressed out about a million other things, it’s understandable that she wasn’t in the best head space to be comforting to him atm. She can’t just pull out and go home it’s too late.

Like I said Ik she’s insensitive but she’s trying to lead a rebellion. Idk I just feel like people are vilifying her so much for that. I don’t think she’s a bad mate. Also people are saying she’s terrible for not communicating when Aelin does the exact same thing. Like idk just give my girl some grace

I think it would've been nice if she showed some grace and could understand where hunt was coming from instead of talking to him like he's the scum beneath her sky-high heels. like yeah, i think they all knew that there wasn't really a choice, but i think hunt deserved a chance to explain his fears to his MATE. lol i'm probably the wrong person to tell this to because i'm a bryce hater since day one but i'm trying For Bryce to start keeping things from others in BOOK 3 is what's getting me. Like yeah, aelin did the same thing, but that's ALWAYS been her personality. Bryce hasn't been like this, she's too much of a snarky loudmouth to have ever kept secrets, so why is it starting in the third book? that's what's confusing me tbh.

Elucien fanfic.

Elain is secretly a writer. She hides her latest draft(s) in the library/study of one of Feysand's houses (I think it was said to be in the river house?? Or maybe the townhouse?? WHATEVER—) by putting it inside some old book that nobody ever bothers to even touch.

She stows away her latest draft,,, when Lucien just happens to be around to witness her sneaking around and everything.

Against his better judgement, he snoops (oh boy) and CUE THE DISCOVERY : Elain writes some FILTH.

(If I'm not misremembering...) Elain catches him mid-discovery.

She's worried he'll go spill the secrets to Feyre & co. He won't. BUT he WILL tease her about it.

I can't remember much past that... I can recall a few little details, though :

I f*ckin' SWEAR I remember something from the excerpts, where Elain's main male character calls the FMC "my gem" and it's, like, a whole thing (maybe?)

Nuala & Cerridwen were the first & only people who knew about Elain writing what she does. They found something she wrote by accident → Elain was embarrassed at first, but they enjoyed reading it & told her as much → they convinced her to publish it (under an alias) and helped her find a publisher.

i gotta disagree w the anon that said cassian doesn’t take showers. i think he is the cleanest out of everyone. He didn’t have access to clean water and a warm towel before so know he showers, shaves, uses colognes and smells amazing, i think his delicious smell is what people notice first. like he smells so fucking amazing and it might shock some ppl. headcanon; eris and he share a common interest for high end cologne and perfumes. once they even matched scents at a meeting and they both silently respect each other👀

okay, i can def see what you're saying here. i can honestly say that i can see cass being both ruged and dirty but also clean. you make the point that he didn't have access to a warm towel and clean water before, but living with rhys mother, i know she made them all bathe constantly because those little boys must've been stinky

going along with this i could see him almost forgetting to shower because he's been used to the feeling of being grimy and stuff, but i can also feel like he doesn't want to waste that water and stuff, he savors it almost like he's scared it might get taken away from him. it's a trauma spot that he sometimes falls back into

but also when he showers does the man shower. he's cleaning every nook and cranny a multitude of times, manscaping if he feels like it though i see him more of a full bush guy, maybe a trim. but he loves his soaps and oils and everything

also, this whole eris business you mentioned just got me thinking about writing him and cass fucking each other...maybe that's why they have the same scent hehe
