I wonder how would lucky story go if she met the strawhats crew when there were younger instead meeting them when there 17? Instant big sis or instant mother figure🤔
Honestly, Lucky already is going to have a big sister-esque relationship with most of the straw hats, so I went with her being a mother figure. No yandere stuff here because they're all kids.

“Come on, pick up, pick up, pick up!”
Thankfully, the stars aligned, and against all odds, your mother actually answered, “(Y/N)? You never call, what’s going on?”
“Oh thank God, I need help!” You were practically weeping from relief.
“What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Oh I knew this would happen with all that exploring you do!” Your mother flipped from concerned to scolding in record time.
“No, it’s not that! I don’t know how,” you take a deep breath, “but I just became a single mother of seven and I don’t know what to do.” You elect to keep the information that one of these kids is, in fact, an anthropomorphic deer to yourself. You gotta ease her into this.
The line is silent for a minute before your mother speaks up again, but not without an exasperated sigh, “This isn’t funny (y/n), I thought something was actually wrong. Don’t offer to babysit that many children if you can’t handle it.”
“No! You don’t understand! I didn’t-” you’re cut off by the sound of the line going dead. This bitch. You don’t know if you want to scream or cry. Maybe both. Of course she didn’t help, you honestly don’t know what you expected.
Loud sniffling from above your head called for your attention. Chopper, the previously aforementioned deer, has been perched on your shoulders and clinging onto your head for dear life practically since he got here because Luffy bit him. You blindly reach up to pat his head, internally grateful for the fact that he’s stopped crying.
The patter of tiny feet coming right for you catches your attention and you look to the side to see Luffy charging at you with Usopp trailing behind him. Oh boy. This kid was a lot, but he also did really weird shit. His limbs stretched like he was made of rubber, something that nearly gave you a heart attack when he first revealed this.
His eyes locked onto your cell phone, “What’s that, let me see!” Without even giving you a chance to respond, his arm does the stretchy thing and snatches it out of your hand. He turns it over in his hands, visibly perplexed by it. “What’s this supposed to be?”
You try to get it back, but kids become masters of evasion when they have something they aren’t supposed to have, “Give that back Luffy, you’re going to break it!”
“Nuh-uh! I’ll be careful with it!” He disagrees as he immediately drops it. Luckily for you, Usopp catches it before it can hit the floor.
“I know what this is! It’s… um… it’s,” Usopp examined the phone closely with the same level of confusion that Luffy had despite his previous claims that he knows what it is.
Fortunately, he was too focused on your phone to see your hand coming and you were able to grab it out of his hands. You hastily stuff it into your back pocket, “It’s just a phone, don’t worry about it.” You walk away from them, wanting to locate the rest of the kids that have since dispersed.
Luffy followed behind you like a duckling, reaching up to tug on Chopper, “Hey, come down and play with us!”
Chopper only clung onto your head tighter, “No! You’re gonna bite me again!” You winced at the feeling of hooves digging into your head.
“I won’t do it again! Don’t be such a scaredy cat! Er- Scaredy deer!”
“I’m a reindeer!” Chopper snapped indignantly. You mentally made a note that he’s a reindeer, not a deer.
Luffy was not deterred by the protests and decided to take it a step further by slingshotting himself up your back. You yelped at the sudden action, completely being thrown off balance. Luffy only giggled at your distress.
Between Chopper flailing from Luffy invading his personal space, Luffy treating you like a human jungle gym, and Usopp latching onto one of your legs (presumably not wanting to be left out of the chaos), it’s hardly surprising when you topple over.
Chopper was dislodged immediately, tumbling away from you with a scream. You groan from the impact and force yourself to take a deep breath so you don’t explode at a bunch of young children. It doesn’t help that much. You look over your shoulder to glare at the two kids still attached to you, but whatever scolding you had in mind died on your tongue upon seeing Luffy’s smiling face. Dammit. He has no idea how lucky he is that he’s adorable.
You pushed yourself up, shaking Usopp off your leg and reaching behind you to pluck Luffy off your back. He giggles at being held upside down in front of you, not a care in the world for what his mischief caused. You try your best to at least look stern, “It’s not very nice to knock people over, you know.”
“I didn’t think you would fall over just from that! You’re kinda clumsy,” he has the audacity to laugh in your face.
“You little-” your eye twitches, and you have to remind yourself that it’s not a good idea to swear in front of children. You dropped him into your lap, which only made him laugh more and squirm around to get upright. The second he is, he latches onto you again.
“You should come play with us, too!” His smile almost breaks you, but you have other things you need to do. Despite your mother’s assumptions, this isn’t some babysitting job. This is some bizarre case of seven children spawning into your living room with no warning or explanation.
“Maybe later. I need to go check on everyone else, okay?” It takes a bit of effort to pry him off this time, his rubbery arms being surprisingly strong. He’s pouting when you do manage to pull him off, but quickly shifts his focus onto Chopper who is hiding behind a chair. Well, hiding is a strong word for what he was doing. Only like half of an antler was actually obscured from view.
The reindeer took off like the devil was chasing him, Luffy not far behind. You decide to let them work this out. Luffy probably won’t bite him again, maybe they’ll be able to settle their differences. You massaged your temples in a half hearted attempt to ward off your oncoming headache.
“Are you okay?” Robin put the book she was reading down enough to peer at you over it. She was the oldest one, looking to be either a preteen or very young teenager. The girl was very quiet, choosing to keep to herself and curl up on your couch with one of your books.
“I’ll be alright,” you say unconvincingly. In reality, you feel like you’re about to have a panic attack, but you’ll keep that to yourself for now. There’s no need to dump all of that on her.
She regarded you with a high degree of uncertainty, clearly not buying it, but shrugged it off. Her eyes flitted back to the book, “Okay, but you might want to go check on Nami.”
“Why?” Panic spikes in your heart, wondering why she was saying this.
“She ran off with your purse a while ago,” Robin offers nonchalantly, nodding her head in the direction of your bedroom.
“Oh come on!” You sprint towards the room, kicking yourself for not taking note of the suspiciously closed door sooner. Upon throwing open the door, you find the culprit kneeling on the ground next to the dumped out contents of your purse. She looked surprised to be caught, but distinctly not ashamed. “Get out of there! You shouldn’t go through other people’s belongings!”
Nami doesn’t even flinch, only smiling cheekily at your attempt to scold her, “Your money looks weird, and you don’t even have that much of it.” As she’s saying this, she pulls out the sorry contents of your wallet. Some crumpled up singles you got as tips at work along with some loose change.
“Hey! I don’t need that from you!” The last thing anyone needs is a small child calling them broke. You lunge for the wallet. While you do manage to grab it, it doesn’t mean much. Not when she’s already got tiny fistfulls of crumpled bills and coins.
Nami bolts, but not before taking a second to stick her tongue out at you. You run a hand through your hair and hazard a glance down at the wallet. Completely empty. You just got robbed by what looks like a six year old. That’s a new low for you. You heave out a sigh and decide to let it go for the time being, you’re pretty sure all she really made off with was maybe $4.27.
This still leaves two kids unaccounted for, and you are almost afraid to find out what they’ve gotten up to since you’ve become distracted. Steeling yourself, you exit the room and begin your search.
Robin is still reading on the couch, but now Chopper is curled up next to her, looking frazzled. Usopp is messing with the remote to your tv, and Nami is hiding (poorly) under your table while counting her (your) money. Luffy is nowhere to be seen, but you can hear him so you at least know he hasn’t run away.
On top of that, you can also hear bickering coming from your kitchen. Hurrying over there, you find the last two kids arguing with each other. Over knives. These kids are going to put you in an early grave, you’re sure of it.
“No! You can’t have them, I just finished sharpening those!” Sanji kicked Zoro’s shins, trying to wrestle three knives away from him. One of which was in his mouth while the other two were in his hands.
“I need them for practice, you can have them back later!” Zoro speaks shockingly clearly despite having a paring knife clenched between his teeth.
“Drop it!” You screeched, startling both of them. Zoro didn’t even get a chance to put the knives down before you swiped them away. He started to protest but shut his mouth after you glared at him, “I don’t want to hear it! No knives! Go play with sticks like every other kid!” Zoro crossed his arms and huffed, but ultimately settled for stomping out of the kitchen.
Sanji, on the other hand, was proudly beaming at you, “I wanted to cut up some fruit for you, Nami, and Robin, but all of your knives were dull so I sharpened them for you!”
The kid looked so proud of himself that you couldn’t find it in you to be as upset about him handling knives as you probably should be. “That was very nice of you, but you shouldn’t be handling knives at your age. Please just ask me to do it if they get dull again,” you do your best to keep your tone kind but firm.
Sanji cocks his head at this, “No I’m not, I work in a kitchen and do this all the time! Old man Zeff taught me how.”
What in the child labor? You shake your head, you’ll question that more later, “Well you’re not working right now, you’re in my home and I say no using the knives.”
Sanji pouts, looking like a kicked puppy. He grabbed onto your legs and looked up at you pleadingly, “But I know what I’m doing! Please! It’s not just a job to me, I love cooking!”
“I didn’t say you couldn’t cook, just no using knives,” you tried to assuage him, but he’s still looking at you like you just robbed him of his passion. “Okay, how about I let you, but only under supervision?”
The compromise causes him to perk right up and nod his head enthusiastically. He looks like he wants to say more, but is interrupted by someone else coming into the kitchen. You don’t even need to turn around, recognizing the sound of sandals slapping across the floor.
“I’m hungry! Do you have any food?” Luffy was staring up at you pleadingly, as if he would wither away any second.
Oh yeah. Having a bunch of kids around does mean that you have to feed them. You internally cringe, you barely have enough food for yourself most weeks. Still, you can’t just let them go hungry, it’s not their fault they’re here. You did just do your weekly grocery shopping trip yesterday, so you do have enough to feed them right now. It definitely wouldn’t last you all the rest of the week, though. You’ll have to figure something out.
“Sure! Give me a few minutes and I’ll get lunch ready,” you force a smile on your face despite your worries. Sanji looks up at you expectantly, “Yes, you can help.”
He grins and hops up onto a stepping stool so he can get to work on slicing the apples he set out. While he does that, you rummage through your fridge, grabbing what you need to make sandwiches. You honestly don’t know what you’re going to do food-wise after today, but you’ll worry about that later.
This is certainly an interesting change of pace for you.

⬇ What I've Been Reading Recently! [In No Particular Order]⬇
Rivers and Roads (Rivers Till I Reach You) Series by peterparkersbff @pbpsbff
[Series Description and Notes] Zombie Apocalypse, No Powers AU centered on Peter, Tony, and Rhodey (But if we're being honest, it's pretty Peter-centric)
Updates will likely be posted out of order, but will be reordered so they are in preferred reading order. I'd recommend reading in series order.
Peter Benjamin Stark Series by MoonBoo
[Part 1, Stars Align Summary] Pepper is concerned about Stark Industry's image and organizes a tour for a group of orphans. It's during this tour that Tony meets a five-year-old Peter Parker, who is mute due to the trauma of witnessing Ben and May dying in a robbery, and realizes they're soulmates.
Time Brings All Things to Pass by MsWinifredQuale
Tony feels like he's in a good place right now. He's got a great fiancee, a makeshift but settled little family, and he's even in a fairly ok place with the former Rogues.
So naturally the universe decides to throw him some curve balls, when he gets a call one morning from the police claiming they've just picked up Howard and Maria Stark from the side of the road.
And that's not the only time-related event about to unfold.
Tony really hates time travel.
[Also includes de-aged Peter Parker]
Please obey the signs by Bergen
“This young man claims to have been invited by you personally.” Tony has learned to read Happy’s expressions. That one is disapproval, and it’s highly familiar. “Peter is helping me out in the workshop today.” “Why?” “Uh.” Tony has enough presence of mind not to carelessly throw Peter’s alternative identity around. “He won a competition.” Happy’s expression flickers, grows tense. “I did not approve any competition that included a trip to Avengers Tower.” “Okay. Well. If we had theoretically organized a competition, he would definitely have won it.” - Tony’s life lately has been a perfect storm of incompetence. But perhaps he can get some solid spiritual advice from a mischievous teenager with a secret identity he meets by the side of the road one evening, like a lucky little leprechaun. If only Happy would stop being so paranoid about Tony inviting a random kid into Avengers Tower, sheesh.
The Chill Factor by Tashie
5 Times Peter's thermoregulation caused issues +1 Time Others tried to do something about it.
Broken Thoughts (I Remember Everything) by blackwatchandromeda (avenris)
"Peter, who am I?"
He hesitates. "I'm sorry. I... I don't know."
Peter Parker has been missing for thirty-six days. When Tony Stark finally finds him, he's wandering around New York with no memories, unaware of where and who he is. The missing month is a mystery, and nobody knows what happened to him - least of all the kid himself.
Peter, meanwhile, is trying to piece together who he was. What doesn't help is the big secret he's sure Tony is keeping from him, or the way the man is avoiding him.
Nobody notices how the missing month is catching up to them until everything goes wrong.
(Not Infinity War compliant, but takes place after Civil War.)
When spiders tour their houses, chaos ensues by pirateninja9
"I am very pleased to announce that we’ve been invited for an overnight tour at Stark Industries.”
Join Peter and his Academic decathlon team on a chaotic field trip to the Stark Industries. Featuring a bullying teacher and student, a confused tour guide and many Avengers shenanigans. With luck like his, Peter should have known this would be as far from a normal tour as possible.
Mugs Are A Problem (I Do What I Want) by JAWorley
It’s not usually a problem. Tony doesn’t usually have to work so hard to hide it because Pepper, Happy, and Rhodey know. He can be himself around them. Right after the compound had been built, Tony had been worried about moving in with the Avengers full time… worried they’d notice his tics and figure out his secret. Then Germany had happened and the team had split up before they could fully move into the compound. Tony had had two years where he hadn’t needed to worry about it. Now that the Rogues are back and are living in the tower full time, it’s on his mind again and stressing him out. The problem? Coffee mugs. Well… coffee mugs, and other things and the fact that when he’s stressed out, the tics get worse. But mainly coffee mugs. Coffee mugs are the bane of his existence. OR Tony has Tourette Syndrome and he doesn’t want the Avengers (or Peter) to find out about it. The newly returned Avengers think Tony is just being a jerk when he knocks things off of tables and counters, because they think he’s doing it on purpose. Despite the angsty summary, this is all about the team coming back together and Tony learning that the people in his life can’t accept him as he is until given the chance to know him as he is.

Heyyy, can I request an angst drabble where you work as Charles' communication manager but you're leaving Ferrari and there's always like a spark between the both of you but the both of you don't really act on it because Charles has a girlfriend (kind of like unrequited love with right person, wrong time?) I'm so sorry if it's really long, thank you <33
pairing: charles leclerc x manager!reader
a/n: SURPRISE i honestly couldn’t resist not posting hehehe :( so let’s try and see if im still shadowbanned, but at the same time you know what fuck it <3 definitely sucks to not get the attention for something you worked hard for buuuut that’s ok
⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅
It was obvious to everyone that Charles was your person and that you were his. The longing stares, the lingering touches, and even the way your eyes would light up upon hearing or seeing the other.
“You know you’re staring,” Carlos nudged you as the two of you sat on the couches of the Ferrari hospitality, “Have you told him?”
“I’m not staring, idiot,” You mumbled, averting your eyes and looking back at your clipboard, “I’ll tell him when I want to.”
“When you want to?” He chuckled, sipping from his water as he took a quick glance at Charles and his girlfriend, “You’re leaving in two weeks.”
Sighing as you set your clipboard down and pinched the bridge of your nose, “It’ll come easy. It’s not even hard to leave at this point.”
“If you say so, Y/N. You know, I’ll miss annoying you and your little crush,” Carlos chuckled, standing up from seeing Charles approaching, “I’ll see you later.”
As you waved him goodbye, you forced a smile from seeing the man that held your heart in his hands. Charles sat across you and crossed his arms, “Looks like you were in a pretty serious talk with Carlos.”
“He was just being annoying as usual,” You snickered, handing him your clipboard, “This is your schedule for the week, let me know if you want any changes.”
“I think most of it is pretty good,” Charles hummed, scanning the document quickly, “Just don’t take anything in the evenings though, boyfriend duties.”
“Oh okay, I see,” You nodded, taking back your clipboard from him, “Great to see her here, though. She seems nice.”
“She really is. I don’t know how I got so lucky,” He sighed dreamily, putting his hands behind his head, “It’s like all the stars aligned for me this time.”
If it were physically possible to see your heartstrings break one by one at that very moment, then Charles would’ve stopped talking about her.
“Happy for you,” You replied, your heart hurting from the lies that came out of your mouth, “I’ll just go and arrange a few things. Good luck with the race, Charles.”
Charles frowned upon hearing his full name, you never called him that. Not unless it was for formality purposes in front of the media and the rest of the team. It was always Cha when it was just the two of you. What had changed?
The race turned over quickly – a great result for both Ferrari drivers, claiming P1 and P2 respectively. You admired Charles up there on the podium with the biggest smile on his face as his national anthem played in the background.
As the celebrations ended, Charles immediately ran down and welcomed the cheers of the Ferrari team, as well as his girlfriend. You smiled sadly from afar, seeing him happy would be your utmost priority at all times. That’s what matters, his happiness. If it’s not you, then you’ll have to grow around the thorns piercing through your heart.
“Congratulations on P1, Charles,” You said, patting his shoulder, “Well deserved, it was a tough race.”
“Definitely tough,” He chuckled softly, putting the towel around his neck and looking at you momentarily, “Is everything okay?”
“It’s perfect. Nothing to worry about,” You forced a smile on your face, “C’mon, let’s get to the media pen.”
Charles frowned for the nth time today, he definitely knew something was up between the two of you. Walking to the media pen would consist of banter, nudges, or even racing each other to it. How come you were walking in front of him, but you felt so far away?
“Y/N, I know you like the back of my hand,” Charles mumbled, grabbing your arm and turning you to face him, “What’s wrong?”
Pulling back your arm, you shook your head with a smile you’d usually reserve for formalities, “Everything’s fine, Charles.”
“See, you say everything is fine,” Charles scoffed, “But, you call me Charles. You never call me that in the 2 years that you’ve been with me.”
You exhaled before turning back and walking towards the media pen, “Well then, I guess things have changed.”
It was safe to say that Charles was left dumbfounded, thoughts racing around his mind that went from ‘Had I done something wrong?’ to ‘Why is she being like this?’. Media interviews felt like torture to him, the agony was prolonged when you were by his side, but then it felt like you weren’t really there at all.
Charles caught up to you as the two of you walked out of the media pen, “Can we talk?”
“I was about to say the same thing,” You smiled sadly, clutching the clipboard to your chest, “Somewhere a little more private.”
You let Charles walk ahead back to his driver’s room. It was supposed to be two weeks from now, but then you decided to inform the higher ups that you’re leaving after this race. You figured it was better to rip the band-aid off completely rather than doing it bit by bit.
As Charles closed the door behind the two of you, he leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, “You go first.”
“I’ve decided that I’m…” You took a deep breath and further carried the heavy weight on your shoulders, “Fuck it. I won’t be here after this race anymore.”
“Oh, you’re taking a vacation?” Charles looked at you, raising an eyebrow, “That’s why you’re acting weird? Thinking that I wouldn’t let you?”
Sighing and shaking your head, you fought back the tears that were threatening to spill, “No. I’m leaving.”
Charles felt the immediate pang to his chest, feeling as if the world around him had stopped and it’s as if he suddenly couldn’t comprehend what you had just said.
“What do you mean you’re leaving? Wha- why? Have I done something wrong?”
Averting your gaze, you mumbled, “I’m just not happy here anymore.”
“Not happy? Y/N, I know you’re lying,” Charles ran a hand through his hair, eyebrows furrowed in confusion and frustration, “What about the promises we’ve made to each other? You seeing me be a world champion and me seeing you go to medical school?”
“I’m not lying, Charles!” You exclaimed, throwing your hands up in the air and pacing around the room, “I just…I feel like staying here is torture.”
“Then fine, leave. I’m not stopping you,” He scoffed, crossing his arms as he looked at you with a few tears falling out, “It’s your choice.”
“You can have this back and give it to her instead,” You sniffled, taking off the charm bracelet and shoving it in his hand, “Thanks for everything, Charles.”
Charles didn’t reply to you, clutching the charm bracelet in his hand tightly and putting it inside his pocket. He wished you hadn’t given it back to him – so that at the very least, you’d have a piece of him with you, just like you to him. But, he thought that it isn’t what you wanted.
He hoped that you’d turn around to look at him one last time as you exited the room, leaving the door open. for him to watch you walk out. But you didn’t, and that was all that Charles needed to know that you were not only leaving Ferrari but also his life.

Cuckoo Anon
Oh you bet your Chain Axe I Do! Had to stop last night because tired but I've got pretty good ideas for some other legions reactions to getting yoinked from their original timeline.
Disclaimer: Apologies if your fav legion doesn't appear here I only know enough about so many of them.
Word Bearers - Another group that's more Aware that the warp has something to do with this, though less able to actively affect it than say the Thousand Sons. Definitely in the group that Wants to establish contact with their original timeline because there's so many souls here in need of the warp's guidance. Until they're able to do that, they spend there time pouring over the various religious texts available here. Would speak up at a theology lecture to correct the speaker about the details of certain figures that they've actually met in their original timeline. Example: Nurgle. They also enjoy yoga for its meditative quality, though its less enjoyable for even the most yoga obsessed humans. The Word Bearers pair yoga with dark ritualistic chanting. Even in Gothic the humans recognize the words are...a bit unsettling.
Rating: Suddenly finding yourself running a...more intense version of a Bible camp as your Word Bearer instructs his group on the proper alignment of ritual circles with the Stars for their next venture. You just hope none of these will ever involve blood sacrifices.
War Hounds/World Eaters - Cut from the same cloth, even stitched with the same pins. Like the Iron Warriors these guys are actually Thriving (as much as they can) in this new environment. You'd think with everything being softened and pacified by the warp they'd go raving mad. But no, because that includes their nails and bloodlust. The nails still hurt, but its like a toothache most days compared to feeling like your brain is being stabbed. And they still crave battle, but there's sparring arenas and Astarte focused gyms in practically every city and marine base here. Plus the occasional chance to Really let loose on some human killer warbands. And if a Marine is sick of their nails completely they can be Removed! The instrument of their torment can be done away with (Chronic pain and migraines remain for most of them but again, far less pain than once was). This new clarity gives them room to reflect. The empire and chaos only found them useful when they were Hurting and Angry constantly. They were never allowed to be anything else. But with the humans here, especially with bonds that can sooth the nails completely, they finally can just....be.
Rating: Laying your head across your bonded humans lap with a fire crackling on a cold night. The scars from the nails twinge for a moment, causing you to hiss. Until your human coos, brushing the hair from your forehead, and at once the pain cools to nothing. You settle, not sure if you deserve this but decide you will accept it. You lean into your humans touch. You are both content.
Space Wolves - If War Hounds are the abused pups learning to love again, Space Wolves are the...Wolves learning to trust/work with humans for the first time. Space Wolves had interactions with humans in their timeline, but only those on their own planet would treat them like normal people. Everywhere else humans saw them as the Emperors Angels. Dangerous and Untouchable. So to have these humans approach them like neither of those groups kinda throws them off. They're not Afraid of them in a broad sense, but they're also not familiar enough yet. The two are finding their footing with eachother. Having a dog gets immediate points with a Space Wolf, they love pups. All shapes and kinds but they obvious lean towards more wolf like breeds. By the same token Space Wolves don't tolerate animal abuse. Any marine type Might decide to kill an animal abuser, a Space Wolf won't hesitate. If you're lucky they'll just steal neglected animals and leave the abuser with some property damage. At worst well...you get the idea.
Rating: Opening up that animal rehab shelter you've always wanted to Not because you thought you were finally  ready...but because your Space Wolf keeps bringing home strays, and neglected animals. But hey, seeing your big guy happily laying in a swarm of pups makes it all worth it. And the time you saw him literally send an abusive owner flying into your trash can for trying to take their dog back.
Death Guard - Weird idea, but they're doing okay. It's just that most of them are feral by choice rather than the Alpha legion's situation. The warp may make their haze of rot less dangerous here, but being near one is still Alot for an average human. Also the cities don't have enough Greenery. So the ferals stick to the forests and overgrown areas. Their presence boosts the cycles of life and decay, and they actually Clean!?!? Well yes, the litter and plastic trash, anything biodegradable can stay...or gets eaten. Yep I see Death Guard as the vultures or millipedes of space marines. They can eat Anything organic, and they enjoy the more fetid pieces. Many humans have been startled to find their garbage being raided after some spoiled leftovers were thrown out. And as far as personality goes they're actually pretty gentle. They see no reason to attack humans, they're natural miasma is still imparting the gifts of Nurgle occasionally so why bother? If a Death Guard bonds to a human that bond is deep and loving. The bond also helps their human resist their smell, and makes the human stronger against the illness miasma. Its not a perfect defense, energy still gets drained, but your Death Guard will always be there to lend a hand, claw, bone growth to help when you need it.
Rating: Hiking through the forest, and suddenly catching an awful smell. Your curiosity bids you follow it, lest it be a hiker that met an ill fate. As you get closer the greenery around you seems to grow larger, and more beautiful with every step. Literally bursting with life. You come to a small open area beneath the trees. The smell is strongest here, and you see a large misshapen green body. It raises its cupped hands, that hold something you can't identify, to a branch. A flower bud slowly opens to full and....a Butterfly flits to the new bloom from his palms. You stand in awe. The shape turns as you watch from behind a tree, your eyes meet through his helmet. You just...stare at eachother. And though you don't notice at the time, the scent no longer has presence in your mind.
Alpha Legion - (Only fitting that I finish off with the legion that gave me my name.) So honestly...kinda struggling. These fellas are so used to spying, and secrecy and playing games of 12D chess (even though doing that wasn't the best choice to begin with but I digress) and now they've been dropped in a place that has...none of that?? They're separated from their spy networks, no matter what side of their Timeline they were fighting on they only really have eachother now. The other legions are Very unwilling to trust them for obvious reasons. And they have a shit time making bonds with humans. Like seriously, f their lives right up. Like at least when they were just a cog in a clusterfuck of war, alliances, battles and betrayals, they didn't have to think and reflect about how Lonely they actually are. But...on the other hand, they're free to do as they please here. Sure the other marines are wary of them, but as long as they don't outright start shit things can go on tense but peaceful. Occasionally snatching some affection while disguised is okay, but still...they want something real. And when they do get that, whether the bond is truly like their fellow marines or slightly different, they Don't let go.
Rating: You came home to an Ultramarine in your house, only it didn't really...act like an ultra marine? It took no interest when you showed it your excel documents, didn't try to organize anything, and shied away from conversing with other loyalists. He Did help you out around the house, and was exceptionally affectionate. Most marines were some flavor of touch starved (except maybe Salamanders), but this seemed excessive. Then one night you woke up, and heard hushed but intense whispering. You peaked out of your bedroom to see your Ultramarine conversing with....himself!? Your eyes did not deceive, and your ears did not lie. Same voice, same armor, down to the same scratches and battle damage...but that was impossible! Your musings were interrupted by one of them getting louder.
"It is still My turn with the mortal!"
"You expanded your timetable in the schedule. That is Unfair brother, and you know it."
"This is not up for discussion, and You cannot be here right now! Do you want us to be thrown out completely!?"
"Maybe if we were simply Honest with them we wouldn't have to worry about that, but You insisted we stick to this charade. Well I'm SICK of it!" The ultra on the right lost his composure, and his form phased and shifted. Royal blue became teal and the helmet shifted to a form more resembling an octopus. An Alpha Legion marine...but that would mean...
The one you assumed to be Your marine spoke up. "Enough! I will not tolerate your insubordination! Leave now!"
The newly shifted marine stood his ground and sneered. "Why don't you Make me brother?!"
"Or you could....Both stay?" The two marines whipped their heads to face you. You stood in your pajamas, as the two armored marines stared in stunned silence.
"I...can explain." Your marine started, but you held up your hand.
"Its okay," You assured him, crossing the distance so you could look him in the eye.  "We do need to talk things over but...I think I understand why you felt you needed to do this." You turned to his brother. " Should've let me know we were having company. I think we could all use some hot chocolate."
Your second space marine perked up. "I hope you have enough supplies for us all."
"Two space marines and a human you mean?"
"Weeeeeell...." Knock, knock, knock. You turned to the door, and your space marine let his disguise shed as he reached for the handle. The door opened to reveal...1,2,3,4...yeah you were gonna need more hot chocolate.
Love these I really do you're making me blush

Tumblr media
And isn't it just so pretty to think
All along there was some
Invisible string
Tying you to me?
Cameron and Jossyln: Karma
Tumblr media
Addicted to betrayal, but you're relevant
You're terrified to look down
'Cause if you dare, you'll see the glare
Of everyone you burned just to get there
Elizabeth and Franco: Red
Tumblr media
Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes
Tell myself it's time now, gotta let go
Maxie and Nathan: Enchanted
Tumblr media
My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again
These are the words I held back, as I was leaving too soon

Hello my love! It's only 11 and it's already been the worst day imaginable....could I possibly ask for aether tummy worship. Could be slutty could be fluffy just our big boy being absolutely worshiped and adored by a ghoul of your choice.
Much love btw/gen
im sorry to hear that! i also had a shit day, and i know you and i are not alone.
as such - stoned, grossly sappy aeth/dew makeouts and tummy time, coming right up!
Aether isn't sure how he got this lucky.
That's the word for it, he thinks. The word to explain the simple joy of being right here, right now. Laying by the lake in his still-damp swim trunks, facing the midnight sky. Cool grass against his back and a familiar body pressed to his side. The stars sparkle, and maybe it's the weed, but Aether swears he can hear the heartbeat of the universe. He sighs, deeply contented.
"What're you thinking about?"
Dew's words are soft, murmured into his shoulder. The little ghoul has one leg hooked over Aether's thigh and an arm resting on his stomach, lithe fingers fiddling idly with his chest hair. Aether runs his knuckles down the length of Dew's spine, a soothing motion for the both of them.
"Stars," Aether says simply, gesturing vaguely upwards with the hand holding the smoldering end of their shared joint. His arm feels delightfully heavy. Dew hums, scratching gently at his chest.
"What about 'em?"
"They're fascinating," Aether replies, sluggish gaze bouncing between constellations. "Humans put so much stock in them. They have for centuries. Some people base their whole lives on those stars, Dew."
"'s that so?" Dew nuzzles closer, the motion accompanied by a warm summer breeze that rustles the clover and wildflowers surrounding them. The little ghoul always so tactile like this, loose and pliant and utterly relaxed. The softest version of himself. Aether silently treasures every moment of it. He gives a hum, playing with a lock of damp silver hair stuck to Dew's back.
"Horoscopes and birth charts and planetary alignments." Aether continues, tilting his head. "Some people think the stars know everything. Something good'll happen and they'll say it was because 'the stars aligned'." The sky is clear, no light pollution for miles, and Aether traces the shimmering arm of the milky way with heavy eyes. "I don't know about all that, but they're a sight like this. Have you ever really looked at them?"
Dew's hand on his chest feels so nice. Aether sighs, scratching at the little ghoul's scalp and relishing the pleased chirp it brings. Dew shifts slightly, just enough to press a kiss to his chest.
"Why would I when I can look at you?"
Aether goes still, halfway to bringing the joint to his mouth for one last pull. His hand hovers over his chest and Dew takes it upon himself to grab his wrist, bringing the twisted end to his own lips instead. Aether tips his head to watch Dew's luxurious inhale, dazed.
"What?"
Dew doesn't answer as he releases Aether's hand, sitting up enough to lean on an elbow. Their legs are still intertwined, Dew absentmindedly dragging the arch of his foot over Aether's calf. He can see Dew's face now, pale skin shimmering in the moonlight, cerulean eyes shining. Red rimmed and glassy, but so obviously fond. Aether is helpless but to lean into his magnetic pull.
The kiss is slow and lazy, intoxicating in more ways that one. Dew feeds him the sweet, herbal smoke, humming happily as their tongues drag against one another The hand on Aether's chest drifts a little further south, caressing warm skin. Dew pulls back first, purring deep in his chest. Aether's eyes feel fuzzy, his head filled with static. Dew shifts against him again, pressing a kiss to the corner of his jaw.
"Why would I wanna look at a buncha sparkly shit in the sky," he says, trailing achingly soft kisses down Aether's throat, "when you're right here?" Aether's laughs through his nose, a soft sound.
"Dew-"
"What?" he interrupts, squeezing Aether's leg with his own. "You gonna tell a guy he can't have preferences?" Dew's fingers trail down the side of his belly, a ticklish feeling that has Aether biting his lip. He shakes his head, skin electric every place they meet.
"They're just really pretty," he mumbles, watching the way Dew's hair shines in the moonlight.
"So are you." Dew shoots him a stoned little smile, eyes crinkled at the corners, and fuck if Aether's heart doesn't skip against his ribs. "Lay back," the little ghoul lilts, pushing himself up, "just relax. Look at your stars while I look at mine."
Aether doesn't know how Dew manages to move so fluidly when he's so high he can't feel his own ass, but then that slight body is knelt between his legs and he finds he doesn't much care. Aether lets his head thud back against the soft earth, feeling himself blush as Dew's hands come to rest on his thighs.
"So pretty," he slurs, fingers coasting up past Aether's trunks to press into the soft roll at his waistband. Aether sighs as those slender fingers slide over his stomach and up to his chest, giving a playful squeeze. His unfocused eyes are back on the sky, pinpricks of light in the blackness melting into one another in his faded state.
Dew's hands are exploratory but gentle, meandering over every inch of his torso. Squeezing his shoulders, massaging his chest, dimpling his belly. That seems to be the main focus of his attention tonight. Aether feels rather like he's being pawed at by an overly affectionate cat. The thought conjures an image of Dewdrop with furry little ears that has Aether giggling immediately. Dew doesn't ask why and he's glad for it.
He can't take his eyes off the sky, but every other part of his addled mind is focused on the way the little ghoul touches him. There's nothing lascivious to it, nothing demanding. Touching for the sake of touching. It's soothing, despite how bony Dew's fingers are where they knead his soft flesh.
"I like this," the little ghoul purrs, not at all helping the catlike imagery in Aether's mind. "This part of you. I mean, I like every part of you," Dew clarifies, "even your one weird toe." Aether barks out a laugh at that, and Dew's purr kicks up a notch as his belly jiggles with it. "But this part is special."
Aether lets out a surprised sound when Dew buries his face in his stomach. He can't not lift his head and take a peek; Dew's cheek is pressed just above his bellybutton, the little ghoul nuzzling into his belly hair. Those elegant hands rest at his sides, stroking over his love handles. He wants to sweep Dew's hair back to see more of his beautiful face, but his arms refuse to move. Instead,
"Special?" Dew nods against him, kissing just beside his bellybutton. "It's just a stomach," Aether chuckles, sheepish. Dew clearly disagrees though, nipping at tender skin.
"Is not," he argues, peering up at Aether with unabashed adoration in his eyes. "It's your stomach. And that makes it special."
Aside from a very warm feeling in his chest, Aether has no response to that. He can only watch as Dew worships his belly - there really is no other word for the reverent way he touches it, kisses it. Even the way he sinks his teeth into the extra soft spot just below his bellybutton feels holy. Dew heaves a happy sigh a few minutes later, resting his chin on Aether's stomach and offering a serene smile. One that Aether easily returns.
Dew surges up to catch him in a deep kiss, just for a few moments. It's sweet and lush, unhurried but broken quickly. Dew kisses the tip of his nose before scooting down to adjust his position, shimmying until he's laid out on his front between strong thighs. He rests his head on the center of Aether's belly, snaking his arms around Aether's waist to hold him close. Once he's settled, Aether lets his head fall back again, smiling wide at the endless night stretched out above them.
At long last, Aether makes his arm work. He brings a heavy hand to rest on Dew's head, dragging gentle fingers through his hair. They're both purring now, a pair of complimentary rumbles joining the summertime chirp of crickets and the occasional soft breeze. He can't recall the last time he felt so utterly, perfectly at peace.
At length, Dew pipes up again, voice thick with bliss and the beginnings of sleep.
"Aeth?"
Aether lifts his head again, blinking slowly.
"Yeah?"
"Will you tell me about the stars?"
Something warm and full washes over him, and Aether brings one of his legs up to lay across Dew's lower back. The little ghoul makes a happy little sound, snuggling closer, and Aether prays to the Unholy Father that he never forgets this exact moment. He settles back into the grass once again.
"Of course, baby boy," he breathes, stunned, "whatever you want."
It takes no time at all for Dew to drift off to the sound of his voice, and Aether is right behind him. Comforted by a familiar body and the blanket of stars above.
He thinks lucky is definitely the right word.

(This drawing got way out of hand but. I'm attaching it to the OC interview anyways!!!! Thank you for tagging me @mail-me-a-snail!!!!) OC interview thingy under the read more :]
Name?
“Vito.” Nothing special or out of the ordinary here really. Though he doesn’t like giving people his surname. Scan him for it if you are so nosy.
Nickname?
“The Red Scorpion.” "...." “That’s a joke, it’s V.” His name is short enough to not warrant a nickname really but V is what he likes to use for business related stuff, keep it formal, keep it anonymous. Though I do think Red Scorpion is the name for his bike. And also the symbol he wears on his vest. He just really likes scorpions and any other desert critter.
Gender?
“Male.”
Vito is trans, has been for a good chunk of his life and he couldn’t be happier with it.
Star sign?
“Scorpio, much to my delight. No idea what it means though. Don’t really care for that kind of stuff.” Fun fact I was so close to making the joke of having Vito be born on the day the Arasaka Towers got blown up but then his age wouldn’t have aligned quite right. He’d have to be 53 during the main story but… still a joke in the back of my mind, might adjust it JUST to be funny, maybe not.
Height?
“Last I checked it was 5’8.”
It’s a pretty good height all things considered. He might appear a bit taller though thanks to the bit of heel on his boots as well as his hat he wears most of the time. He has no complaints about his height though.
Orientation?
“Whoever strikes my fancy.”
Vito is bi and doesn’t really have a preference. Just kinda lets himself be taken wherever his heart desires. (Sometimes that can be horrible ex-corpo men who have something really wrong with them. Shoutout to Lucian. What is wrong with him.) Though he usually doesn’t look for more than a fling. Not actively looking to date or find anything long term. (Lucian was kind of an unexpected case.)
Nationality/ethnicity?
“Born and raised in Mexico. Lived there a good while too.”
His parents likely still live there, he wouldn’t really know. Cut ties a long time ago and has kinda moved from city to city looking to follow his ambitions.
Favorite fruit?
“Hm… don’t have fruit a lot these days but peaches have always been my favorite.”
I can only imagine fruit is just kind of rare to come by, if not expensive. Vito’s never had a lot of money to his name all things considered.
Favorite season?
“Fall. It’s just right.”
Listen he may be used to hot climates but all that leather is probably a nightmare during the summer. And no he will not sacrifice his looks.
Favorite flower?
“Flowers? In this year and age?” He doesn’t know shit about flowers. He might like ones that bloom on cacti but… it’s not really his scene.
Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
“You can’t go wrong with a nice tea.” He’ll always pick tea over anything else. Coffee is… okay. But he doesn’t get the appeal. Vito especially likes any sort of red/fruity tea but he’ll give anything a try at least once.
Average hours of sleep?
“4…. 5… depends.”
And that’s on a good day. Especially in the height of everything with the relic he is lucky to get one or two hours of sleep. Pain is one hell of a bitch keeping him up. Very hard to get comfortable at all. But once that’s all over and he’s settled down it’ll probably end up closer to an average of 8 hours, at least.
Dog or cat person?
“Reptiles.” “...” “But if I have to pick? Cats.”
Vito isn’t one to really care for pets. He doesn’t hate them and will pet a dog or a cat if someone he knows owns one but that's about it. Doesn’t really need a pet of his own.
Dream trip?
“Not really looking to travel.”
As a guy who has moved from place to place, Vito doesn’t really… plan for trips. Most of his traveling was out of necessity and not because he was looking for a vacation spot. Somewhere outside of NC could be nice but he just doesn’t really think about it. Busy with other stuff. Also he would want to travel with Lucian and well……. who knows how that would go down.
Favorite fictional character?
“Pardon?”
Vito reads a lot but he’s not like… crazy about the characters or even really involved, it's just to pass time and relax.
Number of blankets you sleep with?
“.....2.”
He gets cold in his sleep and it's a nice weight. One hell of a fight to get out of bed in the morning though.
Random fact?
Vito loves putting together little models of things if possible. Doesn’t always have the time for it but… it’s fun and relaxing :)
Don't really know who to tag but hey whoever wants to do this with their guys feel free to go ahead!

very un-fire emblem, but since ao3 is down here's some L death note headcanons I was debating posting, hopefully they will benefit the masses in this time of hardship
L and how he thinks about romance:
(tw for slight sexual references and short icky behavior from an unnamed non-canon character but no non con, could be dub con)
- he had a couple puppy loves when he was a kid that he fell way too deep into and had break his heart. he just had trouble understanding the natural flow of relationships, and his standing with others who expected him to keep up with them, so he kept getting left behind
- he's obviously bisexual
- and i think he had a brief thing with another boy when he was an early teen and living at the orphanage
- probably the kind of thing where he felt like he had found his soul mate, and they spent lots of time together trying to make up for how starved for love their lives had been at Whammy's, and then eventually the other boy started to become disgusted with the system, and with L because he was so integral to it the older he got, and neither of them understood any of that, and the other boy broke up with him very unkindly and vanished all in the span of about a week
- L is a little wiser to what was going on behind the scenes now, but even if he had the full explanation, the pain was just so acute, and echoed his recurring experience with abandonment so that thinking about it just solidifies a belief that he's unlovable
- i think when he got into his later teens at the orphanage and started to have a bit of freedom to wander around unsupervised, he also had a brief relationship with an American girl who was on vacation in the area
- and by brief i mean the literal one week that she was in Britain
- she was a bit older than him, almost enough to be icky and certainly old enough to know better than to play with an obviously vulnerable young boy
- she was bored and on vacation so she decided to use him, and again he was totally smitten, poor thing was still just so desperate for companionship that he didn't question a good thing
- he is a genius, but his emotional intelligence just developed slowly cause of trauma:/
- she manipulated him into being physical with her the day before she went home in an alley near the orphanage. they didn't have penetrative sex but they got pretty well acquainted
- she left him immediately after and didn't come back to say goodbye.
- that experience was where his trust allowance ran out, and a few years later after he and Watari began moving around the world, the time and the physical separation from where he grew up helped him understand not to blame himself
- it's actually really lucky that he became a career law enforcer, because it gave him the needed exposure to how much other people straight up suck, and saved him from a lifetime of self-hatred
- his theme is really being self sustainable
- he doesn't have any qualms about his personal worth
- but he also doesn't think he's good enough for other people, so he's learned to live totally without them
- Watari is the exception, because L knows that their relationship is based on Watari needing him for his talent, and he can know quantifiably that he's good enough for that
- i think romance is something he craves even if the lack of it doesn't torture him, but he is truly and literally waiting for the stars to align in the person he chooses; it's something he will never take a risk on again (cough why I'm anti-Lawlight although no disrespect to the ship or it's shippers at all it's just not for me!)
- attraction is easy! he just doesn't trust it a bit.
- his end-game would have to be someone who's known him and Watari for quite a while, who Watari likes, and who has stayed around long enough that their only possible motivation for wanting him can be- well, wanting him
- but once he's found the right one, and he's safe with them, I think he'd be eager to participate in surprisingly traditional romantic gestures, and a good communicator.
- he's awkward as we know, but when comfortable with the person he loves, i think that awkwardness turns into endearing, just non-current mannerisms. like, he's a big kiss his partner's hand kinda guy, which isn't that weird or outdated really but he does it with the intent and reverence with which a knight kisses the hand of a court lady, and he does it because he's gathered his most complete pictures of romance from books and from old movies that i'm sure Watari has made him watch
- 10/10, perfect baby angel of a man, the geneva war crimes are a part of him and I'VE decided they're funny

AHHHHHH!!!!
COMET!!!!
I just woke up and saw your post!!! We need to hear all about the shirt! The interaction! The guitar pick! We need to see photos if you took any too!
You are so lucky!!!! I'm so glad that you had a good time and you got to go to TWO in a row! So fucking fabulous!!!!
Mine ritual is on Friday and I cannot wait!
This post and all of it's ridiculous extra exclamation points brought to you by the Gremlin.
GREMLIN. Photos/videos coming soon. I just put them all on my computer so I can actually look through them and pick out the good ones. But THE SHIRT. OK. Just for clarity, I'm referring to him as Sodo here, because this entire interaction was very much an interaction I had with The Man and not The Ghoul and I cannot bring myself to refer to him as Dewdrop in this particular scenario. But I'm not mentioning anything else related to unmasked Dew, except for that nickname that everyone else already knows. So, I've been joking around with my partner and a few other people for MONTHS about making a shirt that said "Sodo" on it because A) I adore him for many many reasons (not just Ghost). and B) what if he SAW IT!? What would he do!? So, like a week before my rituals I went to the craft store, found out that the stuff needed to make said shirt would be like...10 dollars, and said "fuck it." I was super nervous about it, convinced he was going to see it and think I was CREEPY or weird or some shit, but several people (including YOU) managed to convince me that it was going to be fine and he would not think that. And he might even appreciate it. So I made it, wore it to the ritual I had pit for. Ended up with the best barrier spot I could have asked for in that situation. Got my pick a few songs in--before he ever saw the shirt. He threw it at me but it fell short but I still got it! Immediately after the He Is solo, he turned toward us. I'd turned my phone light off because I didn't want to blind him, and my partner had angled his down for the same reason--which meant that it was pointing toward me. And I'm like reaching up to him, singing at him, and then he saw my shirt, fucking stopped short. Fucking lights were in my eyes so I could BARELY see him, but he dragged his finger over his chest to be like "your shirt!?!?" and pointed at me, and I mirrored that and nodded, and probably did something else with my hands, who knows. I don't remember, it's a blur. He nodded and gave me a thumbs up, so I threw him the heart hands and I blew him a kiss , and he blew one back. And then it was over and I just stared after him like "was that real?" It was the sweetest fucking thing and I just stood there in shock when it was over, as the guy next to me nudged me and grinned and gave me double thumbs up. I'm just like slack-jawed looking around like "did that ACTUALLY fucking happen?" Gremlin, I love that man so fucking much. His attention was laser focused on me from the second he saw it until he had to turn and leave to go play. And it just felt...genuine? like I had a sign language conversation with him and we were both genuinely happy about it. I'm getting fucking weepy thinking about it again. Like how am I allowed to love him more than I already did? HOW? There is no way for him to know how much those like 10 seconds meant to me. But I really hope that they meant something to him too, even if just for a moment. I feel so fucking privileged to be able to have this interaction, that the stars aligned so he actually saw the shirt. That he paused and made a point to acknowledge it, to appreciate it. To see me. It was really fucking special. TLDR: Dew/Sodo knows I love him. And that I exist. And I am a little unwell about it, and will never recover and I really don't want to.
Also, if anyone happens to have a clip of the end of He Is from the CT show where you can actually see this happen, I will love you for fucking EVER.

Surprise, I told you that I would post it and tag you eventually, @wolfboypunzo, hope this is what you had in mind!
Last Day Of Twitchcon
993 words
Bit of angst, it's a Dream Team but Sapnap focused hurt/comfort, so it has a sweet ending.
The second we were sure the streams had ended, the raids had gone through, and Discord was closed, the three of us headed for a more secluded area of the convention building to relax.
Before Dream and George left for the next panel. Which I wasn't invited to for whatever reason. But it's fine. I was so goddamn tired and didn't feel that great anyway.
None of us completely fell asleep, but we did let our minds and bodies relax for the next hour or so, and then we were backstage. Even though Dream has shown his face for a year now, it was still one of his first major outings, he had a right to be nervous. Of course, George and I took him through a couple grounding techniques and reassured him of his worth and impact.
Then Parker walked out.
Then Bad, Sylvee, Puffy, Dream, George, Sam, Hannah.
Then Bink, Spreen, Gia.
"I want us to take the time for the last little bit of the panel and say one nice thing about everyone else, say your favorite thing about the other people on these couches, end this with some feel good moments."
The longer they spent, the more my stomach felt a little bit like it was putting itself in a knot. It was really nice, and I was happy for everyone, they deserve it, they all deserve everything. I didn't wanna be out there.
By the end, everyone's eyes were a bit shiny, even George's, and everyone was backstage again. The ones who were on the panel stayed for some group pictures and conversed, when Dream walked over to me standing by the wall away from the crowd.
"All good, Sap?"
I nodded and lightly rubbed my eye with the back of my hand.
"Kinda tired. Kinda hungover."
He smiled sympathetically.
"Wanna head back to the hotel?"
I nodded again, so he got George, we said our see you later's, and left.
Almost as soon as we used the keycard to our room, we all made way to our designated sleeping spots.
"Been a long day, long couple days, actually."
I said while trying to sink as far into the bed as it would let me, Dream and George vehemently agreeing, maybe everything would be fine and I could forget what happened.
"You did such a good job out there, by the way. I know it was pretty nerve wracking. But you did it, and that meant a lot to the fans."
Maybe not.
"You did such a good job today, too, I know that's not easy, especially when it comes to like showing emotions, which I didn't expect."
Definitely not.
I listened to them talk about the panel for a few more minutes, before I turned my face into the pillow and exhaled heavily, apparently causing more of a disturbance than I intended, because Dream and George stopped talking.
"Hey, what's going on, does your head hurt that bad, Nick?"
Damn Dream and his big heart.
"It's fine, sorry."
"Don't worry, we can stop, want me to get you some water or something?"
George too? This wasn't fair.
"I said it's fine."
"I mean, clearly not, let me just---"
"My head isn't the problem, okay?"
I didn't mean to say that so loud. Or come off that way. Or say anything at all.
"I'm sorry, I'm just tired."
I put my head back on the pillow and tried to avoid making eye contact.
"Hey Nick?"
Guess not making eye contact wasn't an option.
"That's not all that's going on, is it?"
I shook my head slow enough for them to hopefully not notice, of course I wasn't that lucky, and they both started over the sit on the edge of my bed.
"The panel was really nice."
"Sap?"
"It was really nice and I wasn't there."
"Sap..."
"It was really nice and everyone was being really nice and you guys were saying really nice things about each other."
"Sapnap."
I looked up at that.
"Sapnap, one day I was this random kid playing Minecraft who met this other random kid playing Minecraft and the stars aligned just right or something and this kid said 'type 123 for Skype team' and that led me to one of my best friends.
And then you moved in and met Patches, and you let me do as much as I could without showing my face, which wasn't a lot, and you could've said 'no this is too much' or something, but you didn't, you stayed by my side the whole time through everything no matter what.
You have never not been by my side to encourage me or keep my anxiety at bay or stop putting up with the things I ask of you or put you through and I couldn't be more grateful to have you here."
The tears that had been pricking at the corners of my eyes after I raised my voice earlier were now small trails racing down and over my cheekbones as Dream finished speaking.
"You got on a plane the second you heard that I wasn't feeling the greatest emotionally even though it scares you.
You picked me up from the airport when I got to the US and were the person to greet me and help me start this new life with you and Dream.
You drive me crazy and I drive you crazy and we have fun and laugh and I can count on you for anything."
George. I think he was replaced by a clone or something. Cause he doesn't talk like this. And I was still crying. I didn't know what to say.
"Hey guys?"
"Yes?"
"I wasn't lying when I said I was tired earlier."
"Come here, dumbass."
We all laughed, Dream hugged me and laid us down together, George following behind, so we could take a a nap, and continue to do this crazy journey called life with each other.

HP, Jily.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Everlong Lucky Star Class of '78 this time I'll remember Something So Simple
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes. Sometimes the response is brief and sometimes I get carried away (hello everlong commenters). It itches my brain to have emails unread or unresponded, I am that guy with a super organised inbox in real life as well as ao3 life.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably the days are bright and filled with pain 💔
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
There's happy and then there's happiest, I think Everlong and the extras in Times Like These because they went through so much to get there.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not hate, no... but negative comments and or discouragement, thankfully outweighed by positive interaction though.
9. Do you write smut. If so, what kind?
Not really. I've written a fair amount of build-up and fade-to-black, nothing explicit though.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not to my knowledge. I think it's really cool that people love something so much they want to share it with as wide an audience as possible.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have not, but I would if the planets aligned.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Jily (but Literati still has it's hook in)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
There have been ideas that I've let fade, but anything I want to finish I will. Stubbornness.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I really don't know. Maybe emotions, I want the reader to feel the work as they read it, whether that's prose, dialogue, or just vibes...
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Confidence. Trusting that the silly little words I've strung together have an audience. It's a work in progress.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I think it fully depends on context.
19. First Fandom you wrote for?
And shared, Jily. (that sits in a dusty corner hiding OTH)
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Everlong. In part because it was my first big undertaking and it really got me into writing, but mostly for the readers - the love the fic got and continues to get, the comments and support along the way, was incredible.
no pressure tags if you fancy it - @joyseuphoria @crimson-snitch @aidanchaser @arianatwycross @ginemrys

Hello and welcome to a brand new episode of Stereo Geeks.
I'm Mon.
And I'm Ron.
Today, we will be discussing X-Men ‘97.
The new season of the 1990s X-Men animated show has got everybody a flutter.
We managed to catch the Canadian premiere at Toronto Comic Con 2024, and the hype was real.
I have never seen this many X-Men t-shirts, X-Men cosplayers, X-Men art, X-Men love, anywhere ever before.
And as two X-Men fans, this was a jam.
We literally went to Toronto Comic Con this year, just trying to get as much X-Men stuff as possible, and we did well.
Well, it's also nice because you suddenly see that there are other X-Men fans out there.
They love this franchise.
They love these characters.
Some of them are a little too enthusiastic.
But the highlight for a lot of people was the X-Men activation at Toronto Comic Con.
But it was an experience, getting in there.
Listen, with these exclusive things, it's always a bit of planning, a lot of loss of sleep, considerable anxiety before you can actually get there.
Sometimes you get lucky.
The stars align, the timings of your transporter line, and you get there well in time to stand in line and actually get into the room where it's happening.
The X-Men activation, we were already told several times, limited seating, you should get there early.
So that's exactly what we did, even though we'd spent all of Friday at Comic Con and it was kind of a late night for us.
But yeah, we were there first thing in the morning for the X-Men activation zone.
And it's a good thing that we went as early as we did.
So the activation was called Xavier's Lounge for Gifted Youngsters.
At first, I thought this meant it was only for young folks, like family zone or something.
Thankfully, it was open to everyone.
It was just, the naming of it was a bit odd.
But anyway, basically what this activation was, it was a couple of conference rooms turned into a giant North American living room like you would have back in the 90s.
It was Saturday morning, which is when the original show used to air.
And that's when they had the premiere.
I'd say there were about 10, 12 people before us, and this was a good half an hour, 40 minutes before the show even started.
So yeah, we were there really early.
Yeah, and you're talking about the show as in Toronto Comic Con.
That's not even when the screening started.
That started later, and it actually ran late.
So we missed another session.
But anyway, all in all, it was such a cool experience to be sitting amongst all these X-Men fans.
A lot of people had dressed up, a lot of t-shirts out there.
We were also wearing our X-Men t-shirts.
And just a great deal of buzz and excitement about this franchise that so many of us have loved for a really long time.
The thing is, you and I didn't grow up with this X-Men show.
It never came to India.
The X-Men movies, they came, and then we suddenly just fell in love with this group of characters, and we've been in love with them since.
But for a lot of people in North America, this was their introduction to the X-Men.
This is how they got into the comics.
So for them, this revival is huge.
Yeah, but also just spending time with the X-Men is so special.
It's weird because the X-Men weren't a thing when we were growing up.
Not just this show, but just in general, you never saw X-Men comics.
You never saw anybody refer to them.
So the movies were a game changer for us.
And then on the back of those movies, we had the PSP game, X-Men Legends 2 Rise of Apocalypse.
That really changed how we saw these people because there were all these characters in there, so many of them who still haven't made it to the big screen.
Then we went into reading the Wiki articles about them and finally got to the comics.
And that's how we learnt about this amazing group of people.
Now listen, comics, man, they're tough.
Some are good, some are bad.
Most of them are disasters.
You'll go through some runs and you're like, why do I like these people?
But in general, the X-Men do speak to a kind of community a lot of us feel, which is that you feel different, you feel like an outsider, you don't feel like you belong, and then you have the X-Men to turn to.
This is a really very important group of folks for us, and for a lot of people as we figured out at Comic Con this year.
And we were really like, you get pulled into that excitement.
Even if you're a little bit apathetic or unsure, I was like, oh, you know, like, you just get sucked into this.
Yeah, and we were so excited for anything X-Men related at Toronto Comic Con that we watched all five seasons of the 90s X-Men show on Disney Plus in anticipation for this event.
And I'm glad we did because at Toronto Comic Con, most of the main conference rooms were running the trailer for the X-Men ‘97 show.
And that starts with the ending of the 92 show.
Which has a huge spoiler for what happens in there.
So yes, I'm glad we watched it.
We marathon watched it.
Maybe that wasn't the best way to watch it.
And also as adults, you kind of do look at things differently.
On top of that, we're entertainment writers, so you're constantly analyzing everything you watch.
We are not devotees of the original series.
We have our criticisms of it.
But listen, it's the X-Men.
We had so much fun spending five seasons with them.
And I've gotta say, there were some very interesting notes in that original series.
And when I think about it, I'm like, wow, in the 90s, they were doing this.
I really enjoyed that aspect of it.
And there were some minute character changes, which I really enjoyed as well.
So yeah, I just enjoyed watching all these characters that we've completely fallen in love with for so many, so many years.
And I've been reading the Krakow era comics.
I keep telling you about everything that's been happening.
It's tough to get into those.
It's so vast.
There are so many different series.
I still don't know how certain plots ended because they weren't in the runs of the books that I was reading.
And I'm just like, okay, I'm just going to have to accept that this character died and just move on from that.
I will never find out how it happened.
Well, this revival is also happening at the same time that a comic book revival is happening.
So that's interesting.
I might actually start with these new comics because as you said, the Krakow era, I started it, but it's just too much.
There's too much to do in the world to catch up with that many comics.
I was kind of six months behind on the Krakow comics during Christmas.
And I literally didn't do anything else during the Christmas break, aside from reading comics from the Krakow era.
I'm caught up now and now I'm behind.
Such is the life of a comic reader, especially the Marvel comic readers.
Never know.
Anyway, shall we talk about 97?
Indeed, X-Men ‘97.
There's already a little bit of controversy just before the show launches on Disney Plus with creator and showrunner, Bo DiMeo, unceremoniously being fired.
No idea why.
And I think it's kind of odd because he was talking a lot about how much he loves the X-Men.
I don't know what happened.
We can't really speculate or anything, but it is a bit strange.
And it was obvious from the cast and previous producer and director, Larry Houston, when they were at Toronto Comic Con, nobody mentioned Bo DiMeo.
I was like, obviously the PR people got to you guys.
It's always uncomfortable when you start off something with a little bit of controversy.
His name is still in the credits from what we saw in the screeners.
So there's that.
But anyway, aside from the controversy, there's also been a lot of discourse about Morph.
We won't get into that because that's not even there in the first three episodes.
So let's just talk about the story.
First of all, we are not going to share any spoilers for the first three episodes.
The first two will be dropping on March 20th.
And then there'll be weekly episodes, total of 10 episodes.
All happening on Disney Plus.
So the show kicks off from the previous storyline.
It's not immediately after.
Things have changed.
Visually, things have definitely changed.
The animation style is gorgeous.
I would say it's almost too sexy.
I love the animation, the colors, the movement.
Actually, Larry Houston kind of said, that is really the Disney money because he couldn't get any of that kind of movement when he was doing the show in the 90s.
But yeah, oh God, it looks so good.
And there's a scene that for some reason, they've already shared it on Marvel's Instagram of Jubilee dancing.
It's absolutely gorgeous.
You would not have got that kind of movement in the 90s show.
Definitely not over here.
It's like your eyes just cannot move away from the screen.
Yeah, and the music is outstanding.
Not only has the theme tune been tweaked and updated to be more modern, but there's like these beautiful synth pop background tunes going on, which I'm like, this is exactly what I like.
Yeah, I'm like, are they going to unveil Leila Cheney here?
But you know, she wasn't there.
So one thing the voice cast at Toronto Comic Con mentioned was that the creators of the new show wanted to showcase the X-Men using their powers, but in new ways.
And that's obvious from the first episode itself.
And speaking of the powers, that's what makes the action in this episode so spectacular.
Each character and their awesome powers are introduced one by one.
This allows audiences old and new to acclimatize to the new era as well as the characters.
It was great to watch this.
And it's a really tight episode.
And honestly, it was more fun because we were watching it to the crowd and we were all like oooing and eyeing when the characters were in peril and ooh, they got out of that tight situation, yes.
So yeah, it was a lot of fun.
And another thing that, not that I noticed it, but the cast actually mentioned that the episodes in this season are going to be slightly longer.
So looking at the runtime, it's about 30 minutes for each of the episodes.
And I believe the 92 show, the episodes were generally about 21, 22 minutes.
So you get about six, seven minutes more story.
And I don't know whether that's the reason why it's only 10 episodes long.
We'll talk about that later.
Yeah, so the first episode really sets up a bunch of plot lines, which we're going to be seeing throughout the show.
The story does seem interesting.
The main story maybe, I don't know.
And then there's the Magneto drama, which honestly, I am far more into that than anything else.
Listen, if there's one thing that the X-Men is extremely good at, it's drama.
We don't care about who these big bad guys are that are attacking them.
We live with the drama.
Superhero soap operas, that's what we like.
Let's talk about Storm.
I know that the creators had said, oh, she's going to be powerful and cool.
In the first episode, she is definitely powerful.
She's never been more bad as before.
Yes, Storm's mohawk hair, like that just signifies that this is going to be an era.
I thought she was so cool, so powerful, and I love what she does with her powers.
It's different.
And I don't know whether it's because I've been reading the Krakoa era comics and all the characters are super powerful.
I just feel like it's a nod to what she can do in those comics.
So yeah, I like it.
On the flip side, Morph's look, that's a choice.
Well, Morph's look is much more consistent with their comic book look.
He looks like that?
In the comics, yes.
And now Morph and Bishop have been added to the main cast.
As you see, they're in all of the promos, etc.
Morph's human looking face, I don't know, I felt like it's been softened a little bit from the rather severe angles of the original show.
I don't know if it's a different choice because they have adopted a different default look or if it's just part of the animation style.
Bishop on the other hand, his powers are just so cool.
Again, the way they're using their powers in this show this time around, it's gonna blow people's minds.
I also feel like Rogue's face is slightly more soft.
The angles are gone.
I don't mind it, but because we've been watching the old show, and immediately after we see this one, you feel it.
I don't think this is a spoiler when I say Roberto da Costa has been added to the cast.
A lot of these characters, as we know, they sort of expand their roster, but it's not like they have full on main cast roles and screen time.
But love seeing Roberto, the way he's animated, so beautiful, really beautiful voice acting as well.
Now, we have seen one other new mutant in all this while.
One and a half, if you take into account little Ileana.
But what about the rest of the new mutants?
Also, so Bertro is like a little bit problematic in the comics, especially when he was first introduced.
I really hope they don't have all that misogyny in there.
Listen, when I see Bertro, my lad, I am so happy.
Listen, we lost Adam Cantor, who was a very lovely Bertro to see on the big screen.
I was so happy to see him, and it's really sad that we lost him.
But now we've got Bertro in this show, and he's being voiced by Guy Agostini.
I think he's doing a great job.
It's exactly what I'd imagine Bertro to sound like.
He's not sleazy here.
He's actually kind of sweet, very lost, and I really enjoyed the way they did his story.
There's a particular line that he says that got everyone in the feels.
Having said that, I don't think anybody ever gets Bertro's skin color right.
Like the New Mutants movie, let's not even start with that.
Bertro's mutant powers kick in because he's being bullied so badly because he has dark skin.
He's a very rich young boy.
It doesn't matter.
He's still getting bullied because of his skin color.
I just don't think it's correct in this show.
Like I love the fact that Bertro is here, but it's not right.
Yeah, no, I agree with you.
I really wish that they had just gone with the darker skin tone.
It's always these little things, you know.
Well, one course correction here has been the voice actor for Jubilee.
She's finally being voiced by Southeast Asian actor Holly Cho.
The original Jubilee actor, Alison Court, she said that she has a different role on the show, and she's actually very happy that she has passed on the baton to somebody who has the lived experience of Jubilee.
Court did not mention who she's playing, though.
Very, very sedative.
Yeah, I'm very happy that Holly Cho is taking over this role.
She got a really great shout out actually from Alison Court during the Q&A section.
She's really very happy about this new addition to the cast.
I'm really glad to see that they're willing to make these changes, you know, after everything that happened during the pandemic.
So it's a good change.
Can't help but wonder why we needed it in the first place.
Having said that, I did do some research, and at the time that Alison Court got the role, when she was, I think she said she was like 16, 17, they didn't tell her Jubilee's origins.
Poor thing was a bit shocked when she found out.
Well, at least they cost corrected.
So another cost correction, if you can call it that, is that this show is finally realizing how hot Gambit is.
Listen, I'm a writer at WWAC.
The WWAC team loves Gambit.
We once did an entire post about how much we love Gambit.
That's how much we love Gambit.
This episode, oh boy, people are going to love Gambit in this one.
Wow, yeah, how is Gambit this hot?
That's all we're going to say.
We're going to leave the rest to your imagination, because he doesn't.
That's a good one.
Oh wow.
So we had a kind of sad reason for a new addition to the cast.
Ray Chase has joined the cast as Cyclops' voice.
And this is unfortunately because the original voice actor Norm has passed away.
I absolutely love Ray Chase.
He is doing a great job.
When I started listening to Cyclops' voice in this show, I was like, this is it.
This is how Cyclops sounds.
Chase is doing a really good job of channeling Norm Spencer, but his voice acting is just so perfect.
He is exactly the way I hear Scott in my head.
I don't know what it is.
Maybe the timbre in his voice or something.
Scott is still a little bit more snarky in both these shows than I would expect him to be, but I love it.
It's so good.
I would listen to Scott in this show forever.
So we'll end the review for this episode by saying, it gets you in the feels.
There's a lot of emotion involved, not least because of the nostalgia value.
You're back with these characters.
You're spending a whole 30 minutes with them, which is honestly more time than you get to spend with the X-Men most of the time.
So this is great.
The best part of this episode is kind of in the trailer, but at the same time, every time I think about it, still makes me kind of teary.
This is quite an experience.
I don't know if it was heightened because of the Toronto Comic Con community and the whole premiere and the voice cast and meeting the person who made most of our favorite shows from our childhood, Larry Houston.
I don't know what it was.
It was a combination of a lot of things, but let's just say this first episode is worth the wait.
100%.
We can't really talk much about what we see in episodes 2 and 3.
We did get screeners to see them.
Let's just say they're quite different from the first episode, and comics fans are really, really going to love this.
From episode 2's credits itself, your mind is blown.
They're openly telling you nothing is the same anymore.
Without revealing anything about the episode, I will say that it was very tense, and honestly, there was one scene which I felt like it was riffing off the January 6th insurrection in the US.
Those sort of visuals and the tension of it, really scary stuff.
Now, whether it's intentional or whether we're putting those sort of visuals together because it literally happened not so long ago, I don't know.
Sometimes I do think art is sending a message, and if an X-Men show is not sending a message, it's not doing it right.
But from the scary to the sublime, if Magneto is so bad, why is he so hot?
That costume, that's something else.
It's making me question a lot of things.
Oh man, well, you know, Magneto's outfit is straight from the comics.
But I think it's the way it's drawn in this animated show.
It's really striking.
And I think it's because you don't usually see male characters dressed in that combination.
We can't reveal too much.
It may already be in the trailer, but when you see it in action, it definitely has a different feel to it.
And on top of that, you have this beautiful animation style and the colors are so beautiful, which actually makes a lot of sense because the X-Men are so colorful.
Like you have to have a colorful show.
Now what I do like, especially in this episode, is how they amalgamate a bunch of storylines into one tight story arc.
It's great because especially if you read different comics, you'll be like, oh, that bit's from this comic arc and this one's from that run.
I really love how they've done that.
Episode 2 for me was the best episode so far in 97, but probably the best episode of all of the original series as well.
Wow, that is high praise.
And I understand the sentiment because the X-Men, the 92 show, it kind of consistently had one message.
No matter what the mutants do, no matter how many people they save, humans will still hate them, humans will still hunt them.
The way that the Krakoa era comics have been going right now, that is the underlying theme.
It doesn't matter that the mutants have found their own island, that they're trying to just help people, cure people, it doesn't matter.
At the end of the day, they'll always be other, and because they are other, they must be eradicated.
This episode leans into that, and I think that's why it really hits you that these events can keep unfolding over and over again, despite what's happened to the X-Men.
The humans in this world will not accept them ever.
Well, one of the things which you can intuit from the first two episodes is that the humans are gonna hate the mutants because they don't see them as people.
And that is literally the real world issue with so many marginalized communities.
The people in power don't see them as people, so they don't see their suffering as an issue.
Now, how many people watching this in the year 2024 are gonna be able to draw that through line?
I have no idea.
Well, one of the things that was really hard hitting during the Q&A at Toronto Comic Con, George Booza and Lawrence Bain, both talked about how the X-Men appeal to people who don't fit in, who feel like they're on the periphery of society, the freaks, as Lawrence Bain called them.
They find refuge in the X-Men, which is what George Booza said.
And that's what makes the X-Men so enduring.
I do have to say that the Krakow era comics, I don't think they did justice to that feeling.
They got kind of lost in all the sci-fi stuff.
Very interesting to read, very imaginative, but so often I would be reading it, and I'm like, all those strong messages about it doesn't matter who you are, what you are, who you love, you're still a person who deserves respect, and the right to not be killed, whether you're mutant or human.
It just didn't come across that much in the Krakow era comics.
I'm hoping that the rest of the season really plays with that, because if you look at it, every time Bishop travels back and forth from the past, he's doing the same thing.
He's trying to save mutants, because humans just will not stop fighting mutants.
And honestly, at a time when the world is so divisive and so ready to fight over absolutely nothing, we need this show to send a message.
And I think it is, in its own way.
I think we're getting very maudlin over here.
Let's talk about the action.
The action was great.
Like the first episode, I loved the action.
It was so crisp.
And again, because we've been watching the old series literally days before, the movement of the characters was really something to behold.
What I loved about the action in the second episode is it's really hard to predict the outcome.
Again, maybe it's the crisp animation, but I felt I could really follow the different characters as they were fighting.
And sometimes in the old shows, I didn't always feel like I could figure out which character was fighting which.
I guess you could say the direction is a little bit crisper.
Again, technology has improved, so you can move animation and camera angles, et cetera, in a different way.
So it's much easier to follow, and it really ups the tension and the pacing a lot.
And Storm has a very interesting storyline here.
It's very different from episode one, but I believe we know which storyline from the comics this is.
So I'm very intrigued to see how the show is going to handle it.
So we mentioned the music in the first episode and how fun it was.
In this one, I felt like there were some musical throwbacks to the films, and it kind of reminded me of the Gotham Knights TV show, Short-lived, Why Did It Get Cancelled?
It was so good.
But that show had a few musical throwbacks to the Dark Knight trilogy.
It really worked to cement that show as part of that universe.
I kind of liked it.
Yeah.
Alright, episode 3.
Now this one, we really can't talk about anything here.
I swear every frame was a spoiler.
So we'll just give a sort of brief idea of this episode.
It kicks off with some extremely disturbing horror imagery.
If I was a child watching this, I would be awake for a few weeks.
This is not for the faint of heart.
And it actually makes me think, is this show for kids anymore?
The original show definitely was.
It was a Saturday morning cartoon.
It was meant for children to watch.
But watching the aesthetics of this show and some of the story arcs, I'm beginning to think this is a show for the people who had been kids when the original was around.
Yes, this episode was the first time when I thought to myself, who is this show for?
Because there are some really mature themes thrown in here.
They do scale back on some of the costumes because the comic storyline, oh boy, they did not leave anything to the imagination.
So that's definitely a bit different here.
But even then, like the horror elements, those were pretty disturbing for adults.
Forget children.
So the other thing I'd say, and I don't know if you noticed this, but Berthold's powers, it's borderline giving me trypophobia.
I really hope it doesn't actually because in the comics it never bothered me, but over here, because of the movement again, I don't know, it was like, oh boy, oh boy.
I really hope it doesn't get any worse.
Oh wow, I didn't notice that.
Now I'm worried.
But I do like how they're adapting stories from the comics.
And the original 90s show also did that, with Dark Phoenix saga and everything.
But the one that's in this episode takes place over several issues, and it's all kind of clumped together in this 30 minutes.
I don't know if that had to be so rushed.
I agree, it felt really rushed.
This was definitely one of those stories that required multiple episodes for the entire arc to run.
But again, how do you squeeze in a multi-arc story when you only have 10 episodes in this season?
The original show, one of the seasons had 13 episodes.
Some of the other seasons had 17 episodes, 19 episodes.
That's a good long time to base out your story.
But also there were a couple of other moments in this episode where I was just like, are people going to know who these characters are?
Because if you're a comics fan, you're like, oh yeah, oh yeah, this is great, this is wonderful.
If you're coming to this show as a newbie, you're going to be like, who's this?
There was definitely one character who I felt like, okay, they've put this character in there because they were part of the original comics arc, but there's no way the X-Men know about this person.
Or does this person even exist in this timeline?
It just doesn't make sense.
It's a great Easter egg, but it just doesn't make sense story-wise.
Talking about things that don't quite make sense story-wise, there's that love triangle.
Where did this love triangle come from?
I mean, it's alluring because the people involved are kind of hot.
But at the same time, it's also ecky.
Was it even canon in the comics?
When you guys watch it, you will know what I'm talking about.
Was it?
Okay, but I think we read about this in the trivia section of the Rise of the Apocalypse game.
I'm pretty sure.
But still, that doesn't mean it's canon.
Must be canon at some point.
This is so weird.
It's really weird.
This is probably the first episode of the three where I could tell that Gambit has a new voiceover artist.
He sounds a lot gruffer.
I couldn't tell.
He sounds the same.
He just looks great.
Yeah, the animation is so beautiful.
Yeah.
So yes, after watching these three episodes, how do you feel about the show?
Oh, I am super excited.
I'm enjoying it.
I love how many of the comic stories I can actually recognize.
I'm interested to see what's happening with the characters.
The animation is just so, so stunning.
I really just love being able to see it.
But I'm very intrigued by some of the story arcs that they've decided to adapt for this season.
And honestly, more X-Men.
Can't go wrong with that.
I completely agree with you.
Enjoying the action, the characters, the storyline, it's all great.
And we love the X-Men.
So glad this show is back.
And that's all from us talking about X-Men ‘97.

There are millions of things that were once considered supernatural that have since been proven as scientific reality. Platypuses, for one.
At some point "I don't believe in the supernatural" becomes "Science has already discovered everything there is to be discovered".
Which is factually incorrect.
One could argue that space aliens are supernatural. They are also incredibly likely to exist, somewhere out in the infinite expanse.
You don't just believe that magic isn't real, you also believe that if something is real it cannot be magical.
In a world where children's laughter exists?
How silly of you.
maybe you should understand the context of what im writing first asshole. in my country, we have faith healers, people who say they can fix a stroke with a massage, people who believe the stars align someone's career and personality, people who claim they can double money with some chants and help from djinns, people who put graveyard soil on their competitors' shop. people who ate convince thousands of severely ill people to stop chemo treatments to drink prayer water. people who collect gemstones and call it magic then sell it to a high price for desperate people down on their luck. and sooo many grifters saying they could speak to the dead. that is the "magic" im talking about. where in the world did i refer to magic as a metaphorical descriptor for something beautiful?
"magic" in my life, is a code for grifters, people using the naivety, desperation, and grief of others to drain them of money, giving them false hope, or worse. you have no idea how many cases of parents that were misled by local witch doctors saying their kids arent actually dead forever in the woods, theyre just taken to the realm of invisible beings and will come back someday. or mentally ill people and neurodivergent kids literally tortured in an effort to exorcise ghosts and bad spirits. spiritual gurus sexually harrassing vulnerable women for cleansing/ritual purposes, or faith healers and mediums who realized they cant keep up the lie anymore so they started killing and raping their clients. do you want me to send you a fucking of all that news stories that happen in my country? my country doesnt need more magical thinking, we need scientific and secular education, and a conscious effort to get rid of those superstitions or else we'll be stuck praying to various entities and magic items instead of actively revolting and working together to make a better country.
also where the fuck did i say science has already discovered everything? im saying im a skeptic, that means i believe everything has a scientific explanation, but that doesnt mean science have already figured everything out nor that its free of criticism. i dont doubt i will die with the knowledge that we only know so little about the universe we might as well call ourselves cavemen.
also where the fuck did i bring up aliens you freak?
forgive me for assuming but, let me guess : you skim read my personal post and instantly paint me as a stuffy skeptic bro who adheres to reason and hates whimsy despite barely knowing me or my life. youre shadowboxing over someone you created in your head but youre convinced youre fighting me. well i may be wrong so i apologize beforehand
but anyway, i hope youre just a stranger who never reads this reply. if youre not, then you really should have read my pinned post before deciding to follow my blog or be my mutual. i already write it down there that im critical to any form of magical thinking and supernatural bullshit. leave my fucking blog if you cant handle it.
but no matter who you are, i hope you got scammed by a faith healer and had a botched suicide attempt after realizing youve fucked up your entire recovery process and lost all of your money and potential. or yknow what, cut the middle man. just kill yourself tonight. youre into magic right? you believe in those signs of the universe and lucky numbers stuff? cmiiw but if its true i hope you know that this is a sign from the universe to kill yourself.

I’ve wanted to say this for months. Years? But it’s hard. I can feel myself losing my voice again. Fandom is important to me because in some ways I feel it’s the only way I can really connect with others.
My therapist said something interesting right when we met. After talking about my life and friends and worries, she said, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world, “Oh, so you’re an extrovert.”
?????
I have been scolded for being too quiet and too private and too scared of speaking to strangers since childhood. An extrovert?
But she’s not… wrong.
I was lonely, weird only child with too much of an intense interest in things no one else was interested in. Meteorology: I watched the weather channel like other people watched cartoons. Books: I read the same ones over and over and over. Star Trek: I sort of lived in space with them and got the nickname “little miss vocabulary” because of all the language I mimicked.
ADHD explains some of this, now. Very intense fixations with zero interest in anything that doesn’t align. And maybe I’m a little on the spectrum too, although I will not seek that diagnosis and don’t score high on the RAADS test.
I feel like most of my childhood was spent searching for someone who cared about things the way I did, and then coming up empty handed.
That’s not to say I was without friends!
I’ve always had friends. Close friends, starting in kindergarten and continuing on, even when I was years younger than everyone else, ahead a grade and getting bullied, even when I was bad at hiding how weird my interests are. That’s really lucky, and I’m grateful.
But having friends did not mean sharing my intense interests with them. They’d let me chatter about it, just like I listened to things I wasn’t interested in (boys mostly later on, this is long before I realized I was ace), but it wasn’t shared, if that make sense?
Fandom and my best friends were the first place I felt that mirrored back. Anime conventions. Writing stories together. Cosplay. Watching The Show and then reading The Fic and then discussing, endlessly. It is the high I’ve chased ever since. All my close relationships are based on it. I met my spouse through cosplay.
I finally had people!! I finally had people who understood what I was trying to say!!! And I understood them too, deep and unambiguous. Fandom is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s driven me around the world, brought me joy and creativity and self-worth and new skills. I love it.
And then, my longest, deepest, and going-on-eight-years-strong hyper fixation: Yuri on Ice.
Holy shit.
Nothing has ever hit so hard. I spent literally years talking about it with other fans, every day creating. I’ve published over 400,000 words of fanfiction and have much more yet-unpublished. Before writing this post I wrote 2k. I think about it constantly and enjoy it for its own sake, as evidenced by how much of it I just don’t post anywhere at all. I love sharing but in the end fic truly is for me.
But the fandom has slowed down, in the natural way things do. It’s no one’s fault. There are plenty of other interesting things to see and read and do. All my precious friends have been moving on, one by one. And we’re still friends, don’t get me wrong! Of course we are. I have spoken with most of them every day for years, and care deeply about their lives outside of fandom.
But what I’m trying to say is I’m an extrovert in a *very specific way*, and now I’m back in that place again. I can’t connect and have it reflected back, I can’t hear something new. There’s no end to it. Have been trying to have some space for grief. I have been getting quieter and quieter, and not feeling a lot to look forward to.
Been playing mobile games to fill the void and just feeling gray. I’m not sad, just. Faded out. It sounds so dramatic that I don’t want to even type all of this out. I want to say there’s no thesis, nothing I’m seeking, no end goal.
But maybe it’s the same as always: I want understanding.
So that’s what’s up.

A/N: OKAY I REALLY HOPE YOU LIKE THIS AND THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAD A STUPID AMOUNT OF FUN WITH THIS <3
Summary: You and Satoru’s relationship, categorised and immortalised through songs, with drabbles and scenarios for each one. NSFW and MDNI 18+ only
Tumblr media
‘Til I Found You - Stephen Sanchez
I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"
I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her
I found you
The life of sorcery is teeming with horrors and Satoru’s Atlas shoulders and the sadness you’ve both encountered can sometimes be a lot. But then, you have each other. You two are the definition of soulmates, you once said to him you think the universe made you both as halves so you could be one whole puzzle piece together - to which he wholeheartedly agreed.
Yes to Heaven - Lana Del Rey
If you dance I'll dance
I'll put my red dress on again
And if you fight I'll fight
It doesn't matter, now it's all gone
I've got my mind on you
I've got my mind on you
You two never faced any challenge alone. Since day one, you’ve been a team. Higher ups? You both hate them, it’s a date to argue with them. Curses? Let’s do it together, baby. Stray children? They’re our kids now. Grief? Shouldered by both. The weight of the world? Lighter on two sets of shoulders.
Stargirl - The Weekend ft. Lana Del Rey
A vision of my nails in the kitchen
Scratching counter tops, I was screaming
My back arched like a cat
My position couldn't stop
You were hitting it
Your man just never failed to hit that perfect little spot, and how could he not? Your tight warmth was made for him. Sex with Satoru was never mediocre - there was nothing that made him feel stronger than having you writhing and screaming him name beneath him, his perfect princess.
You Can Be The Boss - Lana Del Rey
You can be the boss, daddy
You can be the boss
There’s something about having this immense man take complete control of you that will never fail to have your panties damp and begging for his attention. Knowing you’re his, just for him, all for him, is fuel to both your fires. He loves to have you, so fucking pretty and so fucking powerful, under his control, willingly doing as he pleases, that will never not have him straining in his pants. He is wholly devoted to you, worships you like a goddess, and god does it feel so good.
Young God - Halsey
He says, "Ooh, baby girl, you know we're gonna be legends
I'm the king, and you're the queen, and we will stumble through heaven
The Strongest Sorcerer, the honoured one throughout heaven and earth, the first to wield both the six eyes and limitless in 400 years, head of one of the three big clans - he was the closest thing this world had to a god. You - powerful in your own right, a cursed technique and innate abilities passed down through generations of your family for a thousand years, supposedly descended from legends yourself - the strongest, just below Satoru. Together - you were unstoppable.
Lucky Ones - Lana Del Rey
Every now and then, the stars align
Boy and girl meet by the great design
Could it be that you and me are the lucky ones?
Everybody told me love was blind
Then I saw your face and you blew my mind
Finally, you and me are the lucky ones this time
Mariner’s Apartment Complex - Lana Del Rey
You lose your way, just take my hand
You're lost at sea, then I'll command your boat to me again
Don't look too far, right where you are, that's where I am
Unconditional. That’s the love you and Satoru have. There’s nothing that can’t be dealt with by each others side. No matter what - it’s you guys against the problem.
Don’t Blame Me - Taylor Swift
Don't blame me, love made me crazy
If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right
Lord, save me, my drug is my baby
I'll be usin' for the rest of my life
There is nothing that you two wouldn’t do for each other. You’re the definition of each other’s ride or die. Satoru’s feral side is most prominent when you’re in the path of danger. You’re his to protect and defend, and nothing - will ever change that.
Sway - Michael Bublé
Other dancers may be on the floor
Dear, but my eyes will see only you
Only you have that magic technique
When we sway, I go weak
There was a big Jujutsu society soirée to celebrate something or rather that none of you were paying attention to, all you guys knew was champagne and dancing. Satoru and Suguru in full tuxedos as per the black tie dress code and you and Shoko in the finest of gowns. Mei Mei, Utahime, Nanami and Haibara were there too - everyone dolled up to the nines. Satoru’s jaw nearly dropped to the ground as you came down the stairs in that delectable blue satin gown, arm in arm with Shoko. Your skin became clammy and flushed at the sight of Satoru in a tux because god did he look delicious. At the height of the party, Satoru suavely asked you to dance when this song came on and pressed you against him, around slightly too low for ‘just friends’ as you liked to say and your eyes lingering slightly too long on the pale expanse of the column of his throat. Shoko and Geto looked on, and she slipped him a twenty that you two would finally hook up that night seeing how intimately you two swayed together. She lost the twenty that night, it would take another month or so.
My Girl - The Temptations
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it's cold outside
I've got the month of May
Satoru definitely sang this very passionately at karaoke one night not long after you both finally got together, your blushing face hiding behind Geto’s shoulder as he just laughed at you both.
She’s Always A Woman - Billy Joel
She is frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel
But she can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool
And she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree
And the most she will do is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
I can picture this song playing as the soundtrack to a scene of Satoru looking through his office window at you training the students on the field - your raw cursed power visible and amazing the kids looking on your demonstrations. He loves every part of you. Your heart, your warmth, your kindness, you intelligence, the wicked smile when you’re exorcising curses and the mirthful laugh you let out in a fight. You’re the perfect woman to him.
Falling in Love - Cigarettes After Sex
When I hold you close to me
I could always see a house by the ocean
Last night I could hear the waves
As I heard you say, "All that I want is to be yours"
Your head was on Satoru’s bare chest one night, in his dorm room, you were both almost 19 now and finishing high school, and deciding your next step. He asked you what you wanted and you said is all you wanted to be was his, to which he responded forever. You had decided on moving in together, somewhere peaceful, he thought. Removed - and safe. Somewhere pretty, with a garden for you. A place that you could maybe raise kids one day. Somewhere where he’s not the strongest and you’re not the heir to a mythical jujutsu clan. Where you’re just Satoru and Y/N. Yeah, that sounds pretty good.
Pretty Boy - The Neighbourhood
Even if my heart stops beating
You're the only thing I need, ooh, with me
Even if the Earth starts shaking
You're the only thing worth taking, ooh, with me
You two go through so much craziness and so many battles that there is no relationship more solid than you, built on unwavering trust and almost telepathic understanding. You soon learn that all each of you needs is each other, that’s when the world feels most okay.
I’ve Got You (Under My Skin) - Frank Sinatra
I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin
This was your first dance song at your wedding. Something with a happy tune and god the lyrics just fit. Satoru in his navy suit and you in that beautiful cream gown, close family and friends cheering along as you both hum along in each others ears, giggling and swaying along on the dance floor of your rooftop wedding. A moment, truly, crafted by the gods.
