To everyone out there trying to justify the moment where Will is crying in the car and Mike doesn’t notice by saying that he’s “just oblivious”… I point you to the scene in season three when they are in a movie theater full of loud cheering people and there are all the reasons in the world for Mike to not notice that Will is upset, and yet he still does and makes sure to ask him if he’s okay. And in that scene they were actually further apart than the scene in the car. Will didn’t even make a noise or anything that would have alerted Mike that he was upset. He literally just looked down with a somewhat haunted look on his face and Mike noticed and immediately made sure that he was okay. Screw you. Season 4 Mike is not my Mike Wheeler. If season 3 Mike, or ESPECIALLY seasons 1 and 2 Mike met season 4 Mike, words would be said and hands would be thrown. I genuinely want to know what possessed the writers to just completely nuke Mikes character to the point that there are only 2 scenes (The Scene on the couch in E9 and the scene in Wills room in E4) in the entirety of season 4 that even vaguely resembles OG MW. Fix it. You can’t ruin my (2nd) favorite character in the show like that without some kind of retribution. I don’t care what you have to do.

No wait… actually I do. Break him and Eleven up. Their relationship destroys both of their characters and they can not continue to be together as it literally ruins everything about them.

What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

the most infamous shot of a dead man walking tornado hit jarrell, texas in 1997

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

two more examples of dead man walking tornadoes looking like a person are a tornado from 2011 that hit cullman, alabama

and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio

edit: it has been brought to my attention that the native american “legend” part of this post was a rumor spread by a documentary.

I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.

I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.

If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.
