I know that we're supposed to wholeheartedly hate the clone assassins and what they've done is horrible dont get me wrong but I cant help but feel bad for them knowing that they once were clones devoted to the Republic and their brothers who fought valiantly to get to the end of the war just to be manipulated by the empire and turned into nothing but a number

oh my god I just had an epiphany

The clone assassin says to Crosshair while they fight "You could have been one of us. You chose the wrong side."

And with the framing of the conversation they had with the first clone assassin it's mostly probably about the fact that Crosshair could have joined the secret ops group but then chose the side of the proto-rebellion, but WHAT IF:

what if the assassin is truly brainwashed Tech and in that moment, some part of Tech that is still buried beneath, managed to break through and Tech just leeches out all the negative emotions and the hurt and the betrayal Crosshair caused them in season 1, and what he says is this:

"You could have been one of us (the batch). You chose the wrong side (the empire's side)"

Of course, I don't think our Tech would then go on to drown Crosshair even if he is still secretly pissed about Crosshair trying to airfry them all like a christmas turkey, but considering the assassins are reprogrammed, brainwashed!Tech wouldn't be above fratricide.

Okay, people freaking out that CX-2 hasn't been revealed yet because the finale is going to be too late for anything to happen if it's Tech, but like, have y'all seen The Winter Soldier? Like yeah WS was revealed to be Bucky but he didn't just get over 60+ years of torture and brainwashing and immediately jump back into the fray of the good guys. He saved Steve at the very end of the movie and then made himself disappear. We never saw him join the heroes until the third Cap movie came out.

The way I see it, the CX-2 reveal happening at the very end indicates another story yet to come. We don't know how many clones have been subjected to Hemlock's torture and experimentation or for how long. Their identities are erased and the very first CX clone Captain Rex caught referred to himself as a Believer before chomping down on his electric suicide pill implant. And for some reason, that clone was immediately able to recognize him as Captain Rex.

If there's one thing that would cause an uprising, it's the clones finding out that their brothers have been sent to Hemlock for reprogramming since the Clone Wars and that's a really horrific revelation they'll have to contend with on top of the fact that all of it is already horrific to begin with. I'm pretty sure that's where they would have sent Fives if Azi hadn't told him that he heard Fives was going to be reprogrammed and his memory erased.

How many clones believed to be dead were actually being experimented on by Hemlock? There's a lot to explore there, but this is a series about the Bad Batch. We were introduced to our first CX assassin in season 2, and then we met two more this season. One who is probably Tech.

And a reveal in the series finale probably means the story is going to continue elsewhere with Captain Rex and the other clones fighting for their rights as autonomous beings in a galaxy where they have zero clone representation in the Galactic Senate. They're still property of the Empire at this point.

Maybe it's the optimist in me, but I'm not going to throw my hands up in the air and assume that the team just tricked us into thinking it was Tech so they could retain viewers. He "died" at the end of the second season in a three act series about Clone Force 99.

As much as I would like Clone X to be Tech, I’m pretty sure Cody has more of a motive to be him than Tech.

The fight between X and Crosshair seemed rather personal and was framed in a way it could be important later on. The interaction between Cody and Crosshair beforehand was always very symbolic and helped reshape Crosshair and his redemption arc. That and the sudden disappearance of Cody simply fits this storyline.

Think about it; Cody disappeared and has not been seen since because he went “AWOL”. Sounds a lot like a cover-up from the Empire to keep Hemlock’s top secret project hidden: the clone assassins.

Cody also knew his way around with a rifle. That would explain his skills with the weapon.

Besides, Tech is a defective clone. If they didn’t manage reconditioning Crosshair, it’s also likely they wouldn’t have managed Tech either.

Also, aside from theories, we have little to no proper interaction between Cross and Tech in any way, we don’t know their relationship aside from speculation and it seems a bit late to develop that now. So who else but Cody could it be?

Still, I’m very curious to find out what Crosshair is hiding. There’s obviously something he’s not telling and it’s pretty obvious it has to do with the clone assassins. So who knows? Maybe he’ll drop a very important fact about them such as some clone assassins are secretly … dead? ;)

I really would’ve enjoyed seeing Tech again but that theory seems more and more unlikely. I still hope they’ll talk about him properly at some point in season 3 simply to develop their bond a bit more and give us more of an insight into the relationship between the four original batchers. How they grew up, how they feel, or felt, about each other.

Star Wars: Imperial Shadow

in light of the third season of the Bad Batch, this is how I will think how Tech potentially operates as the shadow clone assassin known as CX-2, I must remind you there will be angst in this.

After his fall to his near death on Eriadu following his noble enactment of Plan 99, Clone Commando CT-9902 “Tech”, the brains of the Bad Batch and second in command to Hunter is rescued by Dr. Royce Hemlock of the Empire’s Advanced Science Division

however, Tech will have to feign compliance to Hemlock’s wishes!

He is taken to Tantiss on Weyland where he will undergo some reconditioning, however due to Tech’s brilliant exceptional mind it doesn’t work the way Royce expects. Scorch knows this, as he and Delta Squad had history with Clone Force 99 during the clone wars

instead, the reconditioning just made Tech more cunning and smart.

like Tech, Scorch has no choice in what he does and it’s something Scorch really regrets, he doesn’t want to hunt down his rogue brethren but he has no choice.

normally, Tech would leave the handling of knives to Hunter and Wrecker, but with his rigid training to be a Shadow X assassin operative, Tech will find this in handy so that he can know and understand how Hemlock’s Clone X program works and operates

And so, Tech and Scorch will navigate their roles all while masking their true intentions from Dr. Hemlock, Emperor Palpatine and the rest of the Empire!

Danny and Ellie take a small, reincarnation, vacation from their duties in the Infinite Realms (King Danny and his most trusted Knight/Princess Ellie). Don't worry, they leave the Realms in good hands (Jazz, Pandora, Frostbite, CW, etc, basically Danny's main council takes over for a few years)

Great their 'father' is an insane assassin leader fruitloop and their 'dad' is named after a fast food joint... whose barely out of his teens btw.

Danny al Ghul Danyal, cast a glance as his full blooded and twin sister this time around Helen Ellie al Ghul who rolled her eyes as they listened to their 'father' ramble on and on about their 'dad' and how they were created to be his heir (Danny mostly, though he had plans on Ellie going to be trained to be his body guard by someone named Lady Shiva soon)

Yeah, no. Ellie dealt with one evil fruitloop father who cloned her once before, she's not dealing that again or falling for the 'I created thus I love you but not really' bs. They need to leave, like yesterday.

Hopefully their 'dad' is... okay he doesn't need to be okay with it at first but hopefully comes around to it, okay with the two of them showing up on his doorstep soon.

And you know what, they're gonna bring him a gift.

His spleen. Yeah it'll be good to give that back to him.

“Seriously old man?” the rumbling voice nearly caused Tim to jump, his eyes darting away from where Ras was sitting, the Al Ghul almost seeming to perk. It was kind of hard to miss the man… teen… being? It was kind of hard to miss the owner of the voice what with how their hair looked like it was on fire.

They motioned around at well, everything, crimson eyes looking exasperated. “Really?” They were definitely motioning towards him, interrupting Ras when he opened his mouth to talk. “No, I don’t want to hear it, I swear- Did he kidnap you?” That was definitely aimed at him.

“N-no?” Tim was feeling slightly unbalanced and may be on hour sixty without sleep at this point, if the hour long nap was counted. “I need help finding my not-dad who's lost in time.”

The being let out a strangled noise that Tim could nearly swear was almost another one, but couldn’t vocalize his slurred thoughts as the dude muttered something, motioning around as though he was tempted to strangle something or someone.

Ras cleared his throat, looking almost awkward which was how Tim knew he had to be dreaming or drugged. Probably drugged. “Jordan, how good to see you, it’s been so long-”

“Can it Pops,” the being-named-Jordan scoffed, finger pointing towards the Demon’s Head. “Moms still pissed and isn’t coming back any time soon with you still pulling this shit.”

Tim felt his brain stall, process for a moment, then process some more over what he just heard before his mouth ran before it could catch up. “Ras is married???”

"Cuyir su." His native tongue slips past his lips, a gloved hand grasping tightly at your hip to keep you still after you tried to grind agaisnt him. Be still.

You’re straddling him on his desk chair, he's buried deep within you, rock hard but not moving, just using you to keep him warm while he writes his reports. A shaky sigh passes your lips and you rest your forehead agaisnt his chest that's rid of his cuirass for once, leaving his top half only in his body suit. When he's sure you're not going to move again, he loosens his hold and subconsciously strokes his hand up and down your side, relishing in how you shiver from even his lightest touch.

You lift your head from his chest, only to nuzzle his neck, placing the occasion kiss. After a minute, your kisses turn more hungry. Open mouthed and not afraid to lightly nuzzle your canines into his throat. His hand wonders into your hair, as he tilts his head to the side to provide you better access. He loses himself for a moment and let's you become his every thought.

"Cyar'ika." The hand in your hair tugs you to lean back from his neck and face him. "Be still. I can always just take what I want and leave you to satisfy yourself. Is that what you want?"

You shake your head with a pout. The threat is seemingly empty. The pair of you already have limited time together and you both relish in every second of it. He wouldn't leave you high and dry without knowing the extent of time he'll be away from you next...Would he?

A shudder runs down your spine at the thought, as you wrap your arms around his waist and hide your flushed face in his neck. A low groan rumbles from his throat when he feels you clench down on him.

For a while, you settle. You don’t know how long. He answers a few times when he’s hailed on his commlink, giving orders in the same calm, professional tone as he would any other time. As if he doesn’t have you on his lap. As if he doesn’t have to repress a groan at every involuntary flutter of your inner muscles.

Your hand finds its way underneath the hem of the top half of his body suit, subconsciously raking your nails across his toned abs and feeling how they tense. You know better than to ask if you’re allowed to cum yet, so you do your best not to move, even though arousal is pulsing in your core and you feel so wonderfully slick and full.

The day has taken it's tole on you and you can't help the way your eyelids droop. You drift in and out of sleep, all with his cock still in you. Still filling you to the brim. The datapad thuds agaisnt his desk and his bare hands - when had he taken his gloves off? - grasp your waist, holding you down to start grinding at just the right angles into your soaked core.

It seems like a long-shot, but if Fives ends up being a CX assassin too I'm going to throw myself into the sun because the emotional damage would be too much considering he was the most rebellious out of all the clones. He's the one who asked the most questions. He's one of the clones who arrested Jedi General Krell for treason.

The last thing he said to AZI before being taken to Coruscant was "see you on the other side" to which AZI replied "the other side of what?"

just for the record, I have woken up from a dream where Tech was dressed up in the Armor of the Empire’s Inferno Squad. The armor was black and red. Tech’s Inferno Squad helmet came with a red visor. He commanded a large number of Natborn troopers alongside clones. Regardless of what conditioning he went through, he still cares for his brothers and Omega. This further has shown and proven to me that it is the basis of my newest AU Fic. Star Wars: Imperial Shadow!
