Ominis Gaunt ABCs

Headcanons for the King of Snakes 🐍

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Ominis isn’t one for PDA’s, the most he’s comfortable with in public is linked arms (or perhaps hand-holding if he’s upset or out-of-sorts). He will subtly show his affection with slight, gentle touches that can be mistaken for an accident to a casual observer, but those who know him well know that these little brushes and pats are 100% deliberate and affectionate.

He prefers to be the big spoon as to him, it feels like he’s keeping you safe, but honestly, if he’s at the stage of relationship with you where cuddling is a regular thing, he’s happy just to be snuggled up with you. He loves to rest his head on your chest and listen to your heartbeat. He’s elegant and graceful with his cuddles, careful not to overstep any boundaries you might have, however, once he’s learned what he’s allowed to do, his hands will absolutely wander. It’ll take him a while to relax completely with you, but once he does, he can’t help but smile. D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Perhaps surprisingly, Ominis isn’t the greatest cook. This has nothing to do with his sight, but rather throughout his life, he’s had other people do the cooking for him. House elves, Hogwarts, Solomon etc. He’s never really been asked to participate in preparing a meal, despite his interest in doing so. Should he attempt to cook a meal, he’ll try his absolute best, and it’ll be edible, but it won’t win any awards. If taught, he’ll be a rather competent cook, but he won’t enjoy it much, it reminds him of Potions.

He hates household chores like cleaning, and will avoid it at all costs. He’s a generally tidy person and habitually puts everything he’s not using away, but things like dusting, polishing, laundry etc will see him make up a clever excuse and vanish for an hour or two. He will help with the washing up if someone cooks for him (though this is more down to good manners than actually wanting to do it) but he’d much rather hire a maid.

A romantic at heart, Ominis would absolutely want to settle down with someone one day, though he does feel like this is a bit of a long shot for him. He would need to truly trust and love the person he spends his life with, and as he’s a pretty mistrustful person, this won’t be easy. If he does find “the one” he’ll be ready with a ring very early on.

He doesn’t want children. It's a clear, unfaltering no. He doesn’t want to further the family line, nor does he want to pass on his genetics, and nothing you can say or do will change his mind. He feels he wouldn’t be a fit parent because of the lack of proper parenting he received. If challenged, and you tell him “but at least you know what not to do!” his response will always be “but I was never shown the right thing to do, either.” He doesn’t particularly like children, anyway, finding them to be noisy, smelly, annoying little creatures if they’re any younger than eight. They disrupt his routines and peace. He’s firm on his decision, will not change his mind, and takes steps to ensure accidents won’t happen. Any “accidents” that happen without his consent will devastate him, and he will consider it a betrayal.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Efficient and brutal. Ominis is a loyal, dedicated partner, so the only way he would voluntarily leave a relationship is if his partner cheated, became violent/otherwise abusive, or some other equally awful thing that he couldn’t forgive. He’d shut down his emotions completely, get the deed done quickly, and bounce before you have a chance to argue. It's very unlikely you’d be able to find him again after that. He’d be absolutely heartbroken, and would revert back to what he’s always done to protect himself – he’d self-isolate until he’s managed to process, then he’d try to move on, though this would likely prove impossible for him. Like a swan, Ominis is a mate-for-life kind of guy.

F = Fiancé(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married? How would they propose?)

Considering his deep mistrust of others, if Ominis finds someone he truly wants to spend the rest of his life with, he’ll only wait long enough to be certain of his feelings, and to make sure he can protect you from his family. He’s probably already picked out a ring before he’s got those plans in place. Considering how attentive he is to you, your likes/dislikes etc, and his ability to ferret out information from all and sundry, his proposal would likely be the one you’ve always dreamed about. He’d probably rope Sebastian in to help him set it all up and be a nervous wreck in the weeks leading up to it.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Very gentle, bordering on cautious. He’s acutely aware of physical contact, and knows well the impact that words can have, especially if you’re close. If he wants to lead you somewhere, show you something, or discuss something significant/emotionally weighty, he’s tentative and in tune with how it may impact you. The only times he’ll be rough with you is if there’s a genuine need, like pulling you out of harm’s way or scolding you for doing something dangerous, but this is mainly down to how much he cares and how afraid he is of losing you.

He will hold you tightly, but it’s a gradual build up from a soft embrace until you can scarcely breathe, but he knows your limits well.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves to hug you, but public hugs are brief, if at all – he rarely initiates a public hug. In private, or around close friends, he’s more willing to hug and initiate. He doesn’t like being hugged by people he doesn’t know well, even if it’s just a friendly arm around the shoulders. It makes him uncomfortable and suspicious.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Ominis is, first and foremost, a gentleman, at least to begin with. You would absolutely have to make the first move with him, he’s too shy and worried about getting it wrong or missing the mark to initiate your first kiss.

In public, the furthest he would go is a chaste kiss on the cheek. The closer you are/the longer you have been together, the closer to the corner of your mouth he would get.

Privately, he’s all over you. He’ll kiss any stretch of skin he can get his lips on, and he’s good at it. Your lips are his favourite thing to kiss, but he will melt into a puddle if you kiss his neck just below his ear – it’s his kryptonite.

If he did say it first, it would likely be in the midst of passion with you, and they just slip out, making him freeze up a second. Or, he would be angry or scared when you put yourself in danger again, and in the relief of realising you’re alright, it’d come out without him meaning to. Once he’s said it for the first time, he tells you constantly. Little whispers in your ear, tiny notes passed to you in class, desperate declarations as you lie together. He needs to be sure you know.

As a romantic partner, you are his world. You mean everything to him, and he worships the ground you walk on, in his gentlemanly way. He knows you inside and out, and almost seems able to read your mind with how easily he’s able to anticipate your needs. He strives to be his best for you at all times, even if this means he’s putting his own issues on hold for you. You need to call him out on this, and remind him that you love him as well, and he needs to let you be there for him too.

He is honest, caring, adoring, and sweeter than sugar. He still isn’t afraid to call you out on your bullshit if you’re being stubborn or obstinate, but every word he ever speaks is fluted with undertones of pure love for you. With all that said, he never smothers you, as he understands that alone time is important for the both of you, and gives you your space when you need it. He only asks that you do the same for him.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Ominis doesn’t sleep much at all, but he’s still very much a morning person. He prefers not to “waste the day,” as it were, and enjoys rising at a sensible hour to make sure he’s prepared for the day. He has a routine – rise, shower, brush teeth, dress and then breakfast with a newspaper or a good book. If you’re not a morning person, he generally lets you sleep in, and will sleep in with you if he has the time. It's one of his favourite things to do. If you are a morning person, he’s happy to share his routine with you.

If it’s the weekend and he’s not got work to do, he enjoys a stroll around, particularly if it’s late spring or early summer. He likes the way the air smells, and how it’s not too hot. Inevitably, due to his sleep issues, he’ll be ready for a nap about midmorning.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He’s an insomniac, and will avoid going to bed for as long as he possibly can due to his nightmares and the fact that sleeping itself holds a lot of trauma for him. He’s at his most vulnerable when he’s asleep, something his siblings took full advantage of when he was younger. He relishes the night, particularly late night when everyone else has gone to bed, and he can enjoy some much-deserved alone time, and relax as much as he’s able to.

When he does eventually go to bed, it’s a bit of a ritual for him. He obsessively checks to make sure doors and windows are locked, and he plans several escape routes, just in case. He always lays out his clothes for the next morning, just in case he needs to leap into them at a moment’s notice (and it saves him a job for the next day). He’ll get ready for bed, then lie down and go as still as a stone, his wand under his pillow. He rarely moves throughout the night, and is as quiet as a mouse. He wakes up several times in the night, listening hard for anyone approaching.

If sleeping in a new place, it takes him ages to settle, becoming used to the new space he finds himself in. This is one of the only times he’ll toss and turn, too wired to find a comfortable position to sleep.

If he’s with you, however, he feels safe. It's an unusual feeling for him, so it may take him time to settle, especially as he’s concerned he might do or say something in his sleep that could embarrass or upset either of you. But the moment he passes through the gate of trust, he will pass out in your arms at a moment’s notice. If he has to sleep without you after this, he feels a bit lost.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Ominis tends to keep things bottled up. He may let slip a few things in the heat of the moment, and tends to be embarrassed about them, and downplay them. He may allude to things that have happened, but it’s usually through a filter or lens, as he is subconsciously trying to separate himself from the things he suffered. He tends to self-isolate as a defence mechanism, and if he’s feeling especially triggered he will slip away to try and process.

Omi’s trauma can be triggered at the drop of a hat, and the trigger itself doesn’t always link directly to the flashbacks he suffers. He can even accidentally trigger himself. He tends to go very quiet when this happens, as if he’s lost in thought, in his own world, and it’ll take a moment to register if someone speaks to him. He’ll pretend everything’s alright, though.

But bottling things up isn’t good for him, and the stress of it may cause him to explode if it all gets too much. He’ll rant and rave, working himself up into a rage, which is why he prefers to self-isolate. He doesn’t want to burden anyone with what he sees as his inability to control himself. If he’s not able to get away to the Undercroft (which is where he prefers to go and yell at nothing) he’ll be snappy and irritable for a while.

Once he learns he can trust you, Ominis will double down on keeping his trauma hidden. He doesn’t want to worry you, he just wants to focus on the good times he has now and forget the pain of his past. But he needs to deal with it. The most sure-fire way to get him to open up about his past and trauma is by sharing some of your own – it’ll show him he’s not alone.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Ominis is generally very patient, but he can be irritable, depending on a whole host of factors. He makes an effort to be patient with you, has zero patience for Sebastian’s shenanigans, and couldn’t give a rat’s arse about anyone outside of his immediate circle of friends. As quick to annoy as he is, he’s just as quick to cool down – he’s very good at controlling his temper and being rational.

It takes a lot to truly anger him, and woe betide you if you do.

Ominis can hold a grudge for a long time, and this is where his patience shines. If someone wrongs him or the people he loves, he will seek revenge, and this young man serves it arctic. He’ll spend days, weeks, sometimes even months gathering information, gossip, and intel on his target (something he is extremely good at – eavesdropping is a natural talent for him, his memory is exquisite, and he’s learned through forced high-society classes how to rub the right elbows and scratch the right backs to get what he wants. His connections come in useful here, too). Once he’s got what he needs, only then will he begin to sow the seeds of destruction, carefully tending them as they grow and bloom into a firestorm of misery for those fools who dared to get on his bad side. Everyone will know it was Ominis who framed that idiot for stealing test answers and almost got them expelled because they made a comment about your bum, but no one will ever be able to prove it.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Ominis is known amongst his friends for his exceptional memory. It's not flawless, he’ll forget things as easily as the next person if there’s no need to remember it or he wasn’t paying attention, but when it comes to you, you matter. He remembers everything. The way you sounded the morning after you first woke up together, the perfume you wore on your first official date, the way your voice changes subtly in pitch just before you tell a joke, or a lie. He knows the feel of your hair, each divot and rise in your skin. He knows your favourite foods, season, colour, texture, everything. He knows the names of all your family members you’ve told him, childhood friends, teachers, pets… If you tell him something, he will remember. You’re that precious to him.

R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)

If he had to choose, it would either be the first time you kissed him, the first time you made love, or the first time you told him you loved him. The first time you made him feel safe. The first time he woke up beside you after having an actual night’s sleep. The time you defended him from the cruel words of some other students, even though he didn’t need you to. There’s a lot of things Ominis would consider to be his favourite moment, it’s hard for him to choose. But all of them are with you.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Ominis is fiercely protective of you, and sometimes, it can be a tad overbearing. He’s constantly fretting about you if you’re late, or appear with mysterious injuries, or are even just feeling a little out of sorts. He won’t ever try to stop you being yourself, and he’d never dream of censoring you or policing the people you associate with, but that doesn’t stop him worrying. If you’re out together, he’s always alert for danger, and he would literally jump in front of a curse for you.

If you’re protective of him, he’s not sure how to take it at first. Why are you doing that? It’s not necessary, truly. He’s not used to it, he’s used to being independent, and if you two don’t know each other particularly well when you become protective of him, he may be suspicious of your motives. If you’re in a relationship or have known each other a long time, he will still protest, but secretly loves how much you care for him. If you jumped in front of a curse for him, he would never forgive himself for you getting hurt.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Ominis will give himself a heart-attack by how much he frets when making an effort for you. He pours over every single little detail, trying to make this date, gift or anniversary the most special thing you’ve ever had, and then he has to outdo himself next time. There are no half measures with this sweetheart, and it can be a little much if you’re not into that kind of thing. But as Ominis isn’t very good with his words when it comes to matters of the heart, he tries to make up for it by showing you how much you mean to him. He’s the type to deck an entire forest in fairylights, organise a string quartet and commission the finest bakers in Paris to make sandwiches for an evening picnic, just for you.

With the everyday stuff, he’s meticulous and careful. He prefers not to rush, but will hurry through any tasks he dislikes. If he considers something not worth the effort and he has to do it anyway (like Potions class) he’ll absolutely half-arse it.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He’s a worrier, especially if he cares about you. If he feels like he’s justified, he will follow you, stalk you, and interrupt whatever shenanigans you’re getting up to, and do everything in his power to stop the nonsense before it goes too far. There may be some unintentional boundary-stepping, but this is down to his insecurities and fears. An open and honest conversation with him would be needed to reassure him, and it’s generally best not to keep secrets from him. He’ll find out anyway, then be upset that you hid it from him.

He sulks. If you’ve upset him, he will be moody/snippy with you until he’s processed his feelings.

He self-isolates. He processes things best when he’s alone, so anything that severely upsets, disorients or confuses him, he’ll vanish for a few hours or longer. Best not to disturb him when he does this, it’ll only cause more trouble. Talk to him about it when he’s more relaxed, and he’ll be honest with you.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Ominis won’t admit it, but he cares deeply about his appearance, and is wildly insecure about it. He makes every effort to be presentable, dressing well and ensuring he’s perfectly groomed. It's rare to see him with a hair out of place, and he takes pride in having good posture and keeping himself in shape. His family used to make fun of the way he looks, so he does whatever he can to be presentable. He cuts an impressively dashing figure, but he won’t believe you when you tell him. He’s uncomfortable being seen without his clothes, and as such can be quite shy when you’re intimate the first few times. But with reassurance and praise, he will come out of his shell a little and grow more confident.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Undoubtedly. Regardless of whether you are friends or romantically involved, you’ve made an enormous positive difference to his life, and if you weren’t there, for whatever reason, he would miss you terribly. He doesn’t make friends easily, so to lose one of them would be painful for him. To lose a lover would break his heart, and he would never, ever forget you.

X = Xtra (Random headcanons for them)

He doesn’t have a sweet tooth, and will share any sweets he has with his friends, gladly. That being said, he has a soft spot for wild, summer strawberries and actively seeks them out.

He is also extremely ticklish, and squeaks adorably if you poke him in the ribs. He’ll lash out if you try to pin him down and tickle him, though.

Having grown up in what is essentially a noble household, he was taught skills of high society from a young age. He’s musical, able to play piano, cello and the violin masterfully, as well as being able to sing extremely well (though he’s very shy about this). He’s a phenomenal dancer, and can easily change his tone and body language to suit the status of anyone he converses with, which comes in useful very frequently.

People assume that because Ominis is blind, he’s deaf as well. Quite the opposite – his hearing is exceptionally keen, and he has an amazing memory. As such, he knows an awful lot of things that should be secret about other students, and even the staff.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Ominis is sensitive to smell, so any unpleasant odours would put him off, even if they’re not particularly noticeable to most people. He can’t stand poor manners, even if it’s just down to a lack of education. Aggression, violence and manipulation will send him spiralling back to his childhood, and he’ll naturally withdraw from that and want to be as far away from it as possible. He’s not a prude, but he has manners, and potty humour tends to make him uncomfortable.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

He doesn’t sleep well at all. He’s not used to being able to sleep undisturbed, and very rarely gets a full night’s rest, especially as he avoids going to bed for as long as he can. He naps frequently, stealing ten minutes or so wherever he can. He can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, but wakes up just as quickly. If he’s with you, this can take some getting used to, but he will eventually settle down, and the first time he has a true full night’s rest confuses him greatly. He sleeps best cuddled up behind you, or in your arms, soothed by your heartbeat.

I think Phoebe would adore your smile the most. She would always be trying to get you to laugh or smile just so she could see your face light up.

B = Beauty (what do they find most beautiful about you?)

Phoebe would find your body the most beautiful. She sees your body as a temple, the thing that holds your soul and keeps you safe, she can hold your body and touch your skin, feel your warmth. I think it would be less like “their body is hot,” and more like “their body is what makes them, them, it keeps them alive.”

C = Call (how often does she call/text?)

I could see Phoebe not texting as much as calling, I feel like she’d rather call you and hear your voice rather than just text. However she definitely sends you memes or just random photos throughout the day.

D = Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)

Either something more intimate like taking a walk and talking about deep topics, or going to a party and just dancing and having fun. No inbetween.

E = Emotions (how do they express emotion around you?)

I could see Phoebe hiding her emotions, or bottling them up and then exploding, like after a long day she comes home and just breaks down. But I feel like she’d try and do it away from you so you didn’t see that side of her.

F = Family (do they want one? If they do, when?)

I don’t think she’d really want one, especially not for a very very long time. She would probably only want kids if you really wanted them. She’d be fine with just having a bunch of dogs.

G = Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?)

I think Phoebe would love receiving and giving gifts, I think she’d definitely buy you things that you see in a store that you want. I think it would be kind of random, it would go like this:

You’d come home from work or something and see this set of earrings you said you liked the other day on the dining room table. “Hey babe? What’s this?”

Phoebe: “Oh those? You said you liked them the other day so I stopped by and grabbed them for you.”

Anyway she would be very nonchalant about it all.

H = Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)

Not as often as you’d think, she prefers an arm wrapped around your waist or a hand on your lower back.

I = Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)

She’d get really mad, even if it was an accident where you give yourself a papercut or something, she’d get mad at the paper. Oh and if someone hurts you somehow, like a shove while you're walking on the sidewalk, you better grab her and hold her back because she is ready to throw a punch at a moment's notice.

J = Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)

I think Phoebe would joke a lot, maybe play pranks on you, but nothing too serious.

K = Kisses (how do they like to kiss you?)

Phoebe would totally be the type of lover to wake you up with kisses, like lots of little fluttery kisses all over your shoulder, neck, cheeks and face.

L = Love (how do they show you they love you/love languages?)

For Phoebe her love languages are definitely touch and words, she loves to hold you and shower you with compliments. And she would for sure love to be on the receiving end of that too. I could also see her showing her love through doing things you have, like the dishes, or laundry.

M = Memory (favorite memory together?)

I think her favorite memories of you two would be when it's late at night and you both are in bed trying to fall asleep and just fall into conversation that never ends. Like talking about nonsense, and you're both so tired you’re delirious.

N = Nightmare (what is their worst fear?)

Her worst fear is of you leaving her, she can be very doubtful of your true love for her and would be scared that one day you’ll realize her flaws and leave her (though that will never happen!!!1).

O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?)

I could see Phoebe loving to try out intricate, detailed makeup looks on you.

P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)

I could see Phoebe coming up with some really weird ones to make you laugh like “schmukums” or like a combination of them that is really long like “my perfect sweet angel baby”. But in all seriousness she would probably use “honey”, “babe” or just a shortened version of your name/or just your name, oh and she’d call you “dude” all the time.

Q = Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?)

Y’all would spend your time together by just doing normal daily things, you both don’t need to be doing some crazy thing in order to have fun, just being in each others presence is

R = Rhythm (has she written any songs about you?)

Phoebe’s music is very deep and is very poetic in nature. I think instead of an entire song being about you, I think there would be mentions of you/things that represent you in all her songs. Like maybe a fond memory of a mention of your features.

S = Secrets (how open are they with you?)

Like earlier, I think Phoebe would try to be open with you, but ultimately hide certain things in fear of you leaving. For her to be completely open with you I think y’all would have had to have been together for a pretty long time.

T = Time (how long did it take you to get together?)

I think there was probably some pining done on your part for a while before Phoebe reciprocated feelings, and that might just be because she didn’t know how she felt for you.

U = Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?)

For when you’re mad I think Phoebe kind of stays close to you, she lets you take your anger out on her. But when you’re sad she stays as well, definitely being your shoulder to cry on and would consol you.

V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)

Phoebe would definitely show you off at any chance to her friends, but might be a little hesitant to display you to the public, only because she knows how damaging social media can be and she wants to shield you from that negativity.

W = Wild Card (random!!)

Not as much about Phoebe but Maxine loves you and you are her second mom!!!1

X = X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?)

She is good at reading into you when you are upset, she knows your different tells. But she might struggle sometimes to differentiate from when you are mad at her or mad at something else. She would definitely ask “Are you mad at me?” A lot in these scenarios.

Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?)

I’m not 100% sure Phoebe would be into getting married, like she loves you and she wants to be with you for the rest of y’alls lives but do you need to get married? She would see it more as just a piece of paper that doesn’t mean shit, she’d probably value just being together more than a traditional marriage.

Z = Zen (what makes them feel calm?)

She loves to lay in bed with you and just hold your hand, it grounds her and keeps her calm.

Look I made Percy’s bday fic angst (again?) and I know Danny told me she might write sth fluffy but I will do this one too so y’all can have some fluff before the suffering

Activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

After spending a lot of time in your relationship either A. trying to stop the world from ending or B. trying to stop one another from accidentally dying and C. trying to have a ‘normal’ live outside of the general demigod struggle, your free time is spend mostly just doing what you would do when you’re alone, but then in each others company. The three of you studying together for exams, Annabeth stressing about her designs, Percy really just trying to graduate. None of this is without teasing each other every so often, or just leaning one another, but if anything spending free time together is where you try to be the most normal.

Beauty - What do they admire in their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Both Percy and Annabeth prioritize willpower and determination over looks. However, Percy does love to compliment everything about either of you, he called Annabeth an angel before knowing her and he does love every molecule of your body. After all this though, both of them do desire you to be a good person above all else. They fell for each other after years of spending time together so if anything who you are is the most important when being in a relationship with Percy and Annabeth.

Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

They ground you with touch. Holding hands is what brings comfort to each of them, it reminds them that you are here with them and in turn they both hope to remind you that they are with you. Percy’s comfort mostly stops are cuddles and such, but Annabeth’s goes further into the area of advice. She will help solve whatever is causing you discomfort, but she cannot help herself so this advice might sometimes come unsolicited.

Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

For now your dreams are not going further than entering college in New Rome. Percy sometimes thinks about a possible family, but he would not want his children to ever have to go through anything he went through. Annabeth does not take the relationship in mind when making dreams of her future- she is stubborn, but she knows you and Percy will be by her side no matter where she goes. And you will be.

Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Percy likes to be a romantic once in a while, but he also enjoys going with the flow. It really depends on his mood, on the opposite Annabeth likes to take lead and be in control. It brings her calm to know things have been prepared properly so even if you tend to be more dominant, you need to be prepared for her sharing the position with you.

Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

Meaningless bicker is something that often takes place, but it should not bother anyone in the relationship. However, if there is an actual fight happening within the relationship it really does depend as to why. Reckless behaviour is the most common one and forgiveness comes fast, but if you genuinely hurt either feelings in this you will need to fight more for forgiveness, but there will be space to listen.

Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

Both Percy and Annabeth notice easily when you do things for them and are very grateful for it. If you bring Annabeth a snack during her studies? She makes sure to thank you and give you a quick kiss. You help Percy get through his homework? Same treatment there.

Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

It is hard - Percy and Annabeth have both gone through a lot, and neither are ready to face these things just yet. Neither would intentionally keep secrets from their lovers, but they are both stubborn. Percy is convinced that he should face his trauma alone and will only come to you with victories, Annabeth tends to hide it when she is having a hard time, but neither holds more secrets than those from you. They also do expect you to be honest towards them - at least with what you’re comfortable with.

Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

Each has their flaws. Annabeth is a perfectionist, and she is learning slowly through you and Percy that she does not have to be, at least not all the time. Percy thinks he still has to carry the world sometimes, and he does not, and he knows but he needs reminders. They each want to be the best person for you and they just need to learn to also be themselves while doing so.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Trust is a major component in this relationship. Annabeth and Percy are secure in the relationship and would not be jealous over anything, they know you love them and they love you. However, they do have this thing that if someone was shamelessly flirting with you while they are right there they will make sure together that this person knows you are taken.

Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Percy’s kisses are a bit clumsy, but always full of love and need for reassurance. Annabeth’s kisses are more coordinated, and always feel fresh. The first kiss between you all was when Percy suggested just trying to smooch all three faces together, which resulted in three people with a headache on the ground. Annabeth only joined in because you and Percy teased her until she did so.

Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

It was most likely Percy who got you all together. He realized quickly how he felt, and he thought it was unfair to himself to not tell each party involved. Annabeth had a hard time wrapping her head around it- she had been robbed of love for a while, but she did agree when you suggested that you could try to date all three together. From there on, the relationship blossomed.

Memory - What’s their favourite memory together?

The non-quest road trip you guys did with Grover after you all graduated. It was one of the first times you went away from everything you knew, because you chose to and in those car filled nights with laughter, friendship and love you found that change could be nice. Everything could be normal for you.

Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?

On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Annabeth mostly hangs around you or Percy when in love, and tries to help you whereever she can. Do mind - she does not seem overeager to help you, but will affectionately call you by your nickname as she helps out. Percy doesn’t think that he behaves differently - but everyone at camp sees the love eyes he gives you and Annabeth every minute of the day.

PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

There are two sides of a spectrum here- Annabeth is not huge on PDA, although she does show her love when confronted with jealousy. Percy however does anything and everything to show you and Annabeth off- he likes to have you close and unintentionally always tends to end up holding one or both of you.

Quirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

Neither Percy or Annabeth mind having to help you, or other people out. Percy often sees it as time spent with friends, as Annabeth sees it as an act of love. This ends up with a lot of campers owning them (and you as an extension) favours, which you are free to cash in when needed.

Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

Outside of dates which go from cliché to the most creative thing you have ever seen, neither Percy or Annabeth are super romantic in the traditional sense. They tend to rather just, act upon their desires instead and do spur of the moment gifts or something. Percy does appreciate a romantic scene though, in contrast to Annabeth who does not really care.

Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

When you tell Annabeth what you want to achieve, she will come up with a game plan- and if you tell her you don’t want help she will still come up with a plan, but not tell you about it until you actually would need help. She trusts you, but she can’t help herself. Percy is the best cheerleader - he cheers you on whatever you are trying to do, although he knows he often can’t actually help you achieve your goals! He tries though, and that’s what matters.

Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice up your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Neither Percy or Annabeth need any more thrill than what they get in daily life. Percy needs a routine and someone to hold him to it for him to be productive, and Annabeth simply enjoys having a set schedule. If you want to spice the relationship up, you would need to tell them and together you would think of something, because surprises are simply not necessary.

Understanding - How well do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

Percy is great at reading people and he knows everything about you, Annabeth is just the same. They unconsciously both consume as much knowledge about each other and you as they get presented, which results in both of them knowing you as the back of their hands.

Value - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?

For all three of you, this relationship is it. There is no second guessing or plans of a future without the three of you. Sure, marriage might not be possible but you simply do not care. Life it too short and too dangerous to prioritize anything over your relationship. They both would rather go down together than see any of you die.

Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

Percy loves to randomly name cute date ideas out of nowhere, and within the week Annabeth has the date planned out. Both are eager to spend as much time as possible with you and each other, so together they always try to put in as many dates as possible.

XOXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

Both Percy and Annabeth love being close to any of their significant others. Annabeth tends to just, lay down next to you when you’re in private, whereas Percy is more demanding that you seek him out. Sometimes you will just come home and worm yourself between the two, for ultimate cuddle times.

Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

They would seek the other partner out- if you are gone Percy and Annabeth will find solace in one another, each distracting themselves with the eyes of the other. If you and Annabeth are gone and Percy misses you, he will spend some time just remembering good moments you had. If you and Percy are gone Annabeth will most likely concentrate on her work in order to keep her head on her shoulders.

Zeal - are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

Yes - they would both do anything for this relationship. Percy has little control in how much love he outs, so he goes all out every time it is needed. Annabeth does not care whether she has to get in trouble for you or not, she loves you and Percy and thinks you both deserve the world.

A Typography Tuesday Mother Goose

This children's abecedarium, Mother Goose ABC, was printed on linen and published in New York and Newark, N.J. by the late 19th- early 20th-century children's book publisher Charles E. Graham &Co. ca 1915. The alphabet is presented in lovely outlined and chromatic letter designs. The cover illustrations are after designs by the noted English artist and book illustrator Walter Crane (1845-1915).

That's it; just a pleasant ABC book of nursery rhymes with excellent initial letters.
