I love petty Tim Drake so much. He deserves to be able to hold his trauma over the people who caused it.

Dick tells Tim he needs to go to bed? "Oh. I see how it is. I thought we talked about you questioning my judgements again, but I see I was wrong."

Alfred lectures Tim about his health? "Now you're concerned about my health? You should have thought about that before putting my mental health in peril for my sixteenth birthday."

Bruce is concerned with Tim's workload? "Maybe the next time you want me to take on less work you'll write a fucking letter instead of spreading vague clues no one else believes is actually from you."

As for Damian? They exchange verbal barbs for fun and take notes from each other. It confuses the hell out of the others because do they hate each other, or are they bonding?

Steph and Tim like to get into screaming fights with each other in public. It's never about their actual fights, but they like how Gotham reacts to it (bonus points if they end up in the news).

Tim and Babs try to sabotage each other's unimportant technology. That fifth tablet Babs hardly uses? Bam! Tim's made it so it plays music whenever it's on and the music can't be turned off.

Cass and Tim just make faces at each other. Bruce has been confused as hell when one of them randomly shouts in outrage due to the other twitching their eyelids wrong.

Tim likes confusing and horrifying Duke by telling him fun facts about the family. He'll tell them in the most damning way to watch the chaos. "The scar on Jason's neck is from Bruce choosing the Joker over Jason."

And that is Tim taking it easy on the Bats because he loves and cares about them (and because it's funny).

The JL?

Red Robin terrifies all of the members who doubted him. The terror doubles when they see him happily chatting with YJ or the Bats. The version of Tim the JL gets is a scarily competent and cold persona. They thought he lost the ability to smile until Red Hood (and who let a crime lord into the Watchtower???) grabbed Red Robin a peace offering Zesti.

summary : you treats lucas like your own child, but little did you know, lucas hates being treated like that by the woman whom he treasures the most.

• at first, being a witch was quite fun for you since you were able to learn the things that you wants to learn. you're able to travel around the continent. and even if you got hurt, it will heal immediately. but as time passes by, you were started to get bored.

• you're not getting bored of being a witch. but you're getting sick of being immortal. because you witnessed every war, deaths of many peoples and many more. the whole world had changed while you, you remained the same. if it's not for your friend, the master of the black tower. you will surely find a way to end your life.

• let's have a time skip, and let's say while you were looking for some herbs. you got lost and you find yourself at a dump. and there, you saw an unconscious kid with black hair. and to be honest, you were planning to leave him alone but you notice that the said kid was abandoned by his parents. you know the feeling of being abandoned, thus, you decided to give him a potion and bring him with you.

• seeing that the kid wasn't in a condition to travel. you decided to bring him to the nearby inn to make sure that he will be able to sleep properly. and you spent overnight tending his wounds and waiting for him to wake up.

• and the time he gained consciousness. you were so happy, i mean, he was unconscious for almost a week! and you started doubting your ability to make potions since it doesn't have any effect on him during those times. but he woke up! it means he's fine.

• but when you tried to ask for his name. he only glared at you. well, you understand him since he was abandoned by his family. but, it looks like you will have a hard time dealing with him.

• it took a few days before you finally learned his name, which is lucas. and despite taking care of him for the past few days, lucas was hostile to you. he's not even hiding the fact that he dislikes you and doesn't trust you at all. but you were fine with that since you already promised yourself that you're gonna take care of lucas and introduce him to your close friend. since you noticed the abnormal amount of mana on lucas's body.

• as a kid, lucas was a yandere who acts as if he doesn't care about you. let's be honest here, lucas's life was shitty before he met you. he craved someone's attention, love and care. and you were the first person who gave that to him.

• that's why lucas was very obsessed with you. though he doesn't show it, he cares about you to the point that it's kinda unhealthy.

• and remember when you said to him that you were planning to introduce him to a friend of yours? because he was the only person who will be able to teach him about magic? lucas only agreed to meet that friend of yours because he was afraid that you too might abandon him.

• every day, lucas was able to learn something new from you. for the first time, lucas was able to explore different places with you. and during those times, lucas finally opened up to you.

• and after he opened to you. lucas became more clingy and obsessive. he was like a child who doesn't want their mom to be taken away from them. but unbeknownst to you, lucas was jealous. this boy doesn't see you as his mom. he sees you as a woman whom he treasured the most.

• and when the both of you finally arrived at the black magic tower. lucas started training his magic abilities with your friend. and during his training, you were there to watch them. and you noticed one thing, lucas was indeed a genius at magic.

• ahh... lucas started to enjoy his new life thanks to you. for lucas, everything is be perfect since you were with him. but of course, nothing is perfect. because after his master got married to someone, you suddenly disappeared only leaving a note for him and his master to take care of themselves.

• lucas was angry after reading that said note. he thought that you'll gonna stay with him forever. he thought that he was the most important person in your life. so why did you abandon him? did he do something that made you angry? if he did, you should've told him so he can apologize to you!

• to protect himself and his feelings. he started convincing himself that you will gonna be back soon. but you didn't. you didn't come back when his master died or when he became the new master of the black tower. every day, whenever he misses you, he finds himself in the places where you and him stay often before.

• he, of course, tried to find you many times. but he always fails, you were way too good at hiding. but 200 years after that, when he met athanasia and became her playmate. and after all the shit happened because of a certain evil spirit that is so obsessed with him. he finally found you, he finally found his precious treasure.

• let's just say that he heard from athanasia about the famous herbalist that was working in the imperial palace. out of curiosity, he decided to pay a visit to that herbalist. and there he saw you. even though you changed your hair and eye colour through a potion he easily recognised you.

• and what he did do when he finally saw you? let's just say that he hugged you tight which surprised you. and used his 'innocent' persona to gaslight you. you don't have to worry, lucas won't- no, he will never hurt you. manipulating you is a better option for him to make sure that you won't leave again.

Ok so I watched rise of the titans and it was... An experience...

The things I loved/liked:

Children of the sun summoning the amulet sequence. It was pretty cool. But it's funny this is one of the things in this category since it was basically ripped straight out of the scene in 1x12. But I don't mind a little self plagiarism if it's satisfying

Toby actually being smart and having a part in the defeat of bellroc

Toby's last moments with Jim. Not to say I liked Toby dying that was fucking horrible but seeing Toby and Jim be close again was something that had been desperately absent for a few seasons. And the idea that Jim even after winning would sacrifice the entire world and take on the burden of going back into the past himself, just to save Toby is kinda sweet even if this movie didn't go in that direction. Cuz it just proves this boy would give up anything for his friends and that's one of his core qualities and why we all love him

The opening sequence on the subway. That was pretty excellent and raised the hype and allowed everyone an equal chance to shine

Aarrrgghh going batshit when Toby dies cuz mood

The taco truck with the little tune entering arcadia and all the government are like 'remove the barricades, let them through!!'

Jlaire was pretty cute in this movie, not the best it's ever been but y'know.

Douxie was pretty good throughout

The things I was ok/unsure about:

Ajas characterisation. I know a lot of people hated it in this movie but it wasn't the worst. She acted like a leader trying to protect two worlds of people, and that's entirely fair tbh. I didn't like how she doubted Jim but as she didn't know him that well especially as neither of them remember the events of d'aja vu it was kinda understandable. And I agreed that they did need a contingency evacuation plan

Krel. He was consistently good in this movie as usual but didn't get enough time to shine individually, same goes for blinky and aarrrgghh

Stricklake getting married was cute, however I didn't like how Barbara was used as a mouthpiece to mediate all of Jim's relationships with the older men in his life, i.e. when her and Jim talked it was either about strickler or James SR. and honestly that's just a disservice to Barbara's own character (and makes me realize that I doubt this movie passes the bechdel test)

The things I disliked:

Eli basically doing nothing all movie and being useless

Having Eli come back after a glow up for the sole purpose of having a moment where Steve is jealous and distrusting of his girlfriend. Actually no this can go in the hate category too ❤️

Jim saying 'i always wondered about dad' to his mom. The only reason this isn't in the hate category is bc it meant we actually spent time on the relationship between Jim and Barbara which is something that was sorely lacking in wizards tbh, and something that really made trollhunters shine. But what happened to 1x17's 'you know I don't care about my father'? Like what is this bfr

Toby being used as comic relief didn't bother me in this as much as in wizards cuz at least he got that important moment at the end but him saying 'moral support is the lamest superpower' what happened to the Toby that cherished supporting his friends and knew that his support was the greatest gift he could give to Jim and Claire just as their support was his greatest gift. Cuz that seemed like a key factor in earlier seasons imo. Also what happened to the Toby that started becoming confident in his abilities in earlier seasons of trollhunters?

The blatant Hollywood stereotyping. The kids kicking the football in Brazil and the fishermen in the South China sea, and then the bright neon lights of anywhere in east Asia at nighttime visual. It's not the worst but I'm tired tbh

The things that I absolutely fucking hated:

This shouldn't matter to me so much, but why when Jim went back into the past, did he wake up at 8.00 instead of 6.00? You could claim it was because it was cuz he was disoriented, but the time of his alarm should never have changed. If I remember that it said 6.00 on the alarm, and I haven't watched the first episode since probably 2018, the screenwriters should've too. It's just lazy. Or maybe it's symbolic of the fact that Jim only used to wake up at 6.00 to make his mom breakfast and all of them lunch, something which was a key part of his characterisation and clearly showed how much he cared for and loved the people around him - something which is very obviously no longer a part of his character since he allowed Steve to bully Eli and manipulated Toby into becoming the trollhunter. But idk. You choose

Nomura's characterisation?? First of all she just seemed ooc, like a stereotype version of herself for some reason. Secondly, her death. She died. In the sun. She's a changeling. The sloppiness of the writing team in keeping their facts straight is fucking astounding.

Stricklers death. Just for shock value and a play on emotions cuz it contributed nothing to the story. Same with nomuras. All it showed me is that the writing team were sitting around a table and someone goes 'you know we should kill off a few characters early on in the movie just to show this is a serious level threat'.

Pregnancy being used as a fucking joke. I wouldn't have necessarily minded the mpreg concept happening but the execution was just. Ugh. Steve being pregnant was treated as a joke and gross and just something to fill in time as comic relief, rather than what pregnancy actually is which is fucking hard work. It just seems like another extended misogyny-as-comic-relief trope again and Steve's character and everything was thrown down the drain

Toby Jim and Claire not having a group moment together. There was a scene somewhere in the movie where Claire was comforting Jim and I was wishing Toby was there too. If they're going to play the moral support joke with him at least have him be there when morals are at the lowest

Toby being stuck to the van. The treatment of his character in general throughout the last half of the franchise, he should've been given proper development as a character since trollhunters ended but fuck that I guess

Getting human Jim back was WASTED. Utterly wasted on this poor excuse for a movie. The peak of Jim's character arc was accepting himself in every form even when his humanity was stolen from him. The 'am I a hero without the amulet' in this and even the corruption storyline in wizards were both forced, particularly the former, as we'd already gone through that part of his arc in s2 (and it was one of the best arcs this franchise has produced frankly). It was really really apparent they couldn't think of anywhere to go with his character but still wanted to use him bc he remained the most popular. Fanfiction writers can and have done better. Fuck this movie

The lack of emotional maturity and depth between a lot of the characters honestly?? I really don't know how to explain this other than anytime this movie paused to have an emotional conversation or moment between two characters it seemed hollow and worthless because none of them were going through true important character arcs

I'm sure I have more things in this category but for now this is all I can think of. Might rb later with more if I can think of more things that really annoyed me :)) time to rewatch trollhunters s1 and remember how good this franchise used to be :))

Kalina Playlist Deep-dive

Kinda wanted to do a playlist deep-dive about all my Fantasy High playlists. If you want any more, I have playlists for all the Bad Kids, both Voxes, and I'm working on a Cassandra Playlist. Starting off with my baby girl, Kalina

ALICE:

I picture this as Kalina describing the fall of the Unnamed Goddess into the Nightmare King. A goddess of dreaming and doubt till she lost her mind, and her persona. Turned her forest into this idealization of what the Nightmare King represents.

Queen

Kalina's persona is this person manipulating everything in the background and several steps ahead of everyone. Also how the Bad Kids originally assumed she stole the crown to control the Nightmare King and be in power.

GRRRLS

Kalina's ideology is about taking control to bring back the Nightmare King by any means necessary. Not wanting people to look too closely into her.

It's like how Kalina always gives options when speaking to the Bad Kids, especially Riz. Also how each option and the tone get more threatening overtime. Also "They took a lesson from their fathers" connects to Riz and how she killed Pok.

The Mind Electric

I honestly don't remember why I added this? Vibes? Maybe it's another example of her trying to control Riz and the Bad Kids, taunting them and making them face their fears? Yeah, that's it, why not?

Achilles Come Down

Goes against my Kristen Playlist which has this same song. This is Kalina and Kristen deciding what Cassandra is going to be in FHSY. Kalina is the deeper voice and Kristen is the kinder one.

Church

Kalina's loyalty to Cassandra and more religious imagery for her connection to Cassandra. Plus the line "Time capsule for the future, trust me that is what I'll be" is how she lives on for the Unnamed Goddess as the plague for her to live. Also "Oh the things that you do in the name of what you love, you were doomed but just enough" is her talking about how her goddess was doomed by her followers, the people who loved her. Also, the second section of the song says "Got a few more fake friends" showing her connections over the years she keeps at arm's distance like Pok Gukgak.

Child of Ashes

I picture this as Kalina singing to the Bad Kids, willing to show them mercy as long as they back off this case.

Hawk in the Night

I see this as her talking to Riz because she is still close to him. She's his godmother, she wants to see him grow strong but it's not the best advice.

You Stabbed Me in My Sleep

My Love is Sick

Kalina is literally a plague, what can I say? Just kidding, it's that and all the religious imagery. The loyalty to the person is like Kalina's loyalty to Cassandra in all her forms. Plus I love Madds Buckley so much. <3

Ghost

Kalina's abilities appear and disappear, along with taunting the Bad Kids and messing with them on their journey. Her confidence, knowing they hate her and why right before the bridge. Plus during the Bridge where the artist says "Why don't you just leave me alone" I see Riz and other Bad Kids begging her to stop with this, stop messing with them.

It Took Me By Suprise

Her being is surprised that the BKs didn't back off, especially Riz after taunting him and seeing the anger in their eyes... thats it...

That Unwanted Animal

How I picture Kalina sees herself. She cares for Cassandra in every form and tries her best to take care of her. When the "Unnamed Goddess" sacrifices herself to be the Nightmare King, Kalina becomes the "Unwanted Animal".

Little Big Boy

Specifically for Fabian, when she makes him stab the Hangman and jump into the ocean.

Take Me To Church

Another song with religious notes to show her dedication to Cassandra and illness notes for her being a literal plague Sophomore Year.

the fruits

Another song with religious notes that I added for the vibes. Also, her being used to keep alive a goddess.

Allies or Enemies

Picked to show her relationship with the Bad Kids now in the present time. Also her new relationship with Cassandra as this new form.

Until It Doesn't Hurt

The pain of her being a plague and vibes.

If I Kill Someone For You

Another song is about Kalina sacrificing herself, and her identity to keep her Goddess alive, to bring her back. Sacrificing her livelihood, and her well-being to bring back the Nightmare King.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World

Final boss music and the end describes the battlefield of "Spring Break I Believe in You" where there is no light coming through the forest, the stairs and ruins where the battle is old and decrepit. "When they do I'll be right beside you, so glad we almost made it" is her speaking to herself/the Nightmare King as she brings them back to life.

Panic Room

Another song about the Nightmare King's Forest and how Kalina and the Nightmare King shaped the forest to have the deepest fears of the Bad Kids.

Living not only as the daughter but also the protege to the one and only Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, was never an easy task as many of the adoring public that would’ve killed to be in your situation made it out to be. It was anything but an heavenly paradise that they think it was, the glitz and the glamour were merely an guise used to evade the prying eyes from the hardships of being the child of a prominent superhero.

Everyone knew your name, everyone knew your face as it was just as heavily publicised alongside your mother’s, but you soon grew to realise that no one ever truly cared about you other then when the person your bore the same last name with was involved. You weren’t as bold, as striking in beauty nor confidence as Diana, no. You were on the opposite side of the spectrum to her and that’s what made you a shadow in the eyes of the public; Prince in name but never in the way you held yourself. You were so vastly different from your mother that many weirdos came up with an obscenely obscured conspiracy theory that you weren’t actually Wonder Woman’s child, instead that you were just some random kid with a similar power set that she just so happened to take on out of sheer convenience.

You couldn’t help that you were shy, meek and insecure. And sure Diana was a wonderful mother to you, always empowering you, encouraging you and helping you hone your abilities and offering you grand advice when you felt lost in it all but how could you possibly tell her that all these issues of uncertainty and doubt stemmed from the pressure placed on your shoulders of being her daughter? You couldn’t but yet your mother always seemed to have a sixth sense when it came to you and your well being it seems.

‘Y/n, dear.’

‘Yeah?’

Diana pats the space next to her, ‘come.’ You sit yourself down next to her, your form slightly more hunched compared to her straight, prim and proper form. ‘You’re still at unrest with yourself.’ She started before casting her eyes towards you. ‘Being my child has only made you hate the skin that you’re in and despite not telling me outwardly, your body language tells me all I need to know about your struggles.’ Your breath hitched in your throat but you seemed to lack the backbone to say anything in that moment, allowing your mother the go ahead to continue.

‘You shouldn’t heed the words of the outside, gifting them residence with your head for they opinions on you are not your responsibility to change. For they would always remain the same no matter what one does to contradict their comments, I have long since learnt that some people are more then willing to die on their hills,’ she placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder, ‘you’ve just got to learn to not let them crucify you on them. For every they would crack under the weight of having greatness pressure upon them whilst you on the other hand have found the tools to stabilise yourself despite it all and because of that, you are every bit worthy of the name Athena.’ You swore you could’ve cried right then and then but instead chose to cling on tightly to your mother like you did whilst young.

Moving onto Billy now and needless to say he was more then happy to be your vocal piece when your own words failed you, to protect you when you yourself couldn’t because it made him like as though he was actually worth someone amazing and a beautiful and as badass like you. When in actuality he was more then frightened of someone like Jon Kent or Damian Wayne, second generation heroes of famous parents just like you, would swoop in and take you from him because they understood your circumstance better then an orphan in a foster home of 5 ever could.

Sure he had a crush on your mum but so did practically everyone else but Billy felt extremely special when you chose him out of everyone else to date, he felt as though he had been touched by fate or by an higher deity when you accepted to become his girlfriend. The boy was practically all dopey smiles and heart eyes for weeks afterwards which warded a frightened looking Freddy away for awhile, who claimed that his best friend and brother had been replaced by a shapeshifting villain.

For those weeks Billy felt lighter then air whenever you were nearby, his eyes practically beaming with life, with love, with adoration, so much so that he could honestly care less that he was becoming a walking cliche because any time Billy got to spend with you were the highlights of his life, not day, life. You had the supposed tough guy hooked with every laugh, chuckle or unintentional snort that trickled sweetly from your lips like ambrosia. Billy was more then willing to make a fool out of himself just to hear it again as though it were the first time all over again.

He was willing to fulfil your every wish, hanging off your every word as though it were gospel. If you had an shrine Billy would worship at the foot of it every day just to catch a glimpse of your beautiful form. To Billy, despite not wanting to consider himself a hopeless romantic, you were moulded by Aphrodite’s hands, wielded together by Hephaestus, gifted by the likes of Zeus and Athena, blessed with a fiery tenacity to defend and protect what was rightfully yours by Ares.

You were perfection in incarnate to Billy and he would let you know that in the most subtlest of ways throughout everyday life but in the moments where you need his comfort most, that’s when he chose to open his mouth and say all things that he’s been wanting to say but never was given the right opportune moment to do so.

While Billy was there for you in your times of need, you never failed to be by his side during his own time of need. Whether it be family related or Shazam related, you were always sat by his side in respectful silence because you knew that for Billy, opening up about what was ailing him was particularly the hardest part, so when he does, you come packing with the advice your mother has given you and even your own that you’ve accumulated from similar experiences.

You’ve come to hold the trust Billy put in you as the highest regard you’ve ever received because after hearing his life story, trust, loyalty, vulnerability and having someone who was going to be a constant in his life were just only some of the many things he was deprived of thanks in due to the abandonment of his parents. Which never failed in making you made to the point where your control over your powers almost became out of wack if it weren’t for Billy reigning you in.

You’ve became Billy’s support system as he became yours that even in the heat of battle you both never strayed too far from one another unless it was absolutely necessary or that you could handle the opposition without putting yourselves under too much strain on your parts. But it’s impossible to deny that Shazam and Athena were one hell of a duo, a duo that was taking Philadelphia by storm.

Billy, in my personal opinion, would love to keep you tucked against his side but this would only occur in the safety of the his room, he’s not massive on PDA other then small instances where your holding hands, he’s fine with that but anything else was strictly for the both of you only. Even during the instances where Freddy accidentally walks in on you both cuddling and being too couple like for his taste as he’d only just make a face and a passing comment.

Don’t worry he loves you both but really? Pda in his and Billy’s shared room? Leave room for Jesus or Zeus if that’s what you were going to do.

Billy would muck about with your lasso of truth but end up getting caught in it and whilst you laugh your ass off, he’d look at you with soft eyes and say, ‘your laughter is what heaven sounds like.’ And you’d immediately become flustered by the sincerity of his words and how he looked at you whilst trapped within the glowing rope of your lasso. ‘That’s just the lasso making you speak that Billy.’

‘No it’s true! Everything about you is what I think elysium would be like. Your beauty is godly that even when you wake in the morning, you steal my breath and I’m stuck to wonder what makes me so special. You could have someone like Jon Kent or Damian Wayne, yet you choose me, stupid Billy Batson who can’t even speak on my own accord without some outer interference forcing me to. I don’t deserve you y/n/n. … You know I always kind of assumed Ozzie was under a binding demonic contract by Mammon or something (remember, Oz is “the weakest sin”) to make the Fizzbots. But maybe not because Oz did fight back eventually? Was he doing it because of blackmail about his relationship until he reached the breaking point? And was he taking the blackmail because he genuinely cared about his imag, or was it because he thought “oh fuck if we go public everyone’s gonna try kidnapping/murdering over fizzy (which is what exactly happened in Oops) because they know it’s a weakness and I am in hell?” I think a lot of these factors influence how I interpret the morality of this situation. No idea if the show will ever go into it though. Probably not.

Fizz keeps going back and forth in regards to sexuality. Like I guess he likes the Lust Ring and being a sex symbol at Ozzie’s because he feels safe there and is being sexual for/with his boyfriend. But even then you have creepy people yelling that they have four of him and that makes him visibly uncomfortable. When it’s packaged as a production I guess that makes him uncomfortable? But isn’t his whole thing like “he’s a sellout?” Or maybe it’d like there’s a difference between being a “sex symbol” like Marilyn Monroe and being a porn star with sexbots built of you. Maybe that’s what Viv was going for?

But it feels so unclear because I don’t think Fizz has a consistent personality. Like who is the real Fizz. Have we met the real Fizz? Is the “sexy” Fizz a mask? Is “uwu” Fizz a mask? Is “gremlin” Fizz a mask? He uses all three to please other people. Hell even kid Fizz and teen Fizz are two EVEN DIFFERENT personalities (granted people change a lot from childhood/teenage hears). My guy has been performing his entire life that he doesn’t know how to turn it “off.” I’d say he needs a therapist but I don’t think they exist in hell.

I did not mean to go on a tangent, you don’t have to publish my psychoanalysis of Fizzarolli if you’re too burnt out. I actually don’t care about any of the five main characters that much, the side characters are more interesting to me

God Viv…if that’s what was happening it makes me completely doubt Asmodeus’ ability to protect Fizz. Not to mention something I hate in fiction when a story tries to make someone’s trauma a “shared” trauma, when there’s absolutely no way Ozzie is as traumatised as Fizz is by all of this. It’s so so easy to make it go away by having Asmodeus do this mistake on purpose, then regret it deeply, aspire to change, and not hurt someone like that again. That’s character growth and moral greyness and as a demonic sin of lust makes complete sense.

Yeah I need to know what people mean by sellout, because doing things out of character for you in order to make money

^^^^ makes complete sense!!! Fizz isn’t a cruel overly raunchy person who prizes lust and money and elitism above all else. Especially the elitism part, Asmodeus is nice (to fizz) but he’s an elitist like mammon is. Fizz? It’s not him. But putting the blame of the lustful persona on mammon exclusively is laughable?? Have a backbone, writers, character consistency is more important than keeping the demon ship vanilla, marketable, wholesome. It sacrifices its ability to explore problems in a relationship by prioritisation a romance for audiences to say “awww” at. So instead of working through issues that are making a relationship bad, they instead gloss over them which in turn, ironically makes them bad. And god Fizz’s communication with Asmodeus is so poor and so steeped in lies and codependency that the more it goes unaddressed the more uncomfortable the “cute” moments feel.

No you’re right. Fizz as a baby, teen, and adult, on stage, off stage, they feel deeply different to each other and I struggle to follow. Like if the three of them were somehow in a room, I don’t know how the conversation would go.

This is more granted because it is literally a demon, nevertheless the son of THE Demon Bull King. I doubt anyone who remembers about the legends and then what happened to the city like. Twice by his hand wouldn't be standoffish

So when your parents catch wind about your going ons with Redson, they're,,,,

Less than excited to say the least

They try to keep you away from him, thinking that there has to be some double meaning to why he would want to date you, what it might be was up in the air

When Redson found out about that though, he was quite irritated

Though giving it some thought (and some calming down from you) he thought it made sense from a protective parental figure's POV

It still didn't feel good to be deprived of his lover more often than he would like, even with their reasons

It's harder to get into their good graces compared to MK, given he's terrorized the city more than once and made his face known for it

Sure MK is,,, MK but at least he's doing it to save everyone and stop the threats to the city, albeit very recklessly

Redson has been mostly known to be the cause of that in the first place

So with your help (which is mainly to keep him from burning anything) you decide to speak over dinner

It's awkward at first, especially since your parents are not quite hesitant to throw shade at him, but his way with word and bit of charm does get the ball rolling in the right direction

The dinner ends off with a nice note, despite the rocky start

It helps ease them up enough to Redson to be able to tolerate seeing him with you

But they are still cautious

Knowing how prone he is to his literal flaming outbursts

It reassures you a little, which WAS the main goal anyways

He brushes it off and makes jokes about it like he does everything else, so you consider his advice

Though, you aren't completely opposed to nudging your parents in the direction you want, just enough to not make it so obvious

You want your parents to be involved with your life to at least some degree, so having them at least tolerate your relationship would ease you a good deal

It takes some time, given nothing being direct and Sun Wukong being... Sun Wukong, but you manage

You do get your parents to tolerate it the relationship, but years of detestment and vitriol isn't that easy to get past

You know what battles to fight, so you throw in the towel in terms of your involvement. You got at least one milestone out of the way so that's all that matters in the long run

Unlike the other two, Sun Wukong and your parents' relationship is on a bittersweet note, more bitter than sweet.

He technically didn’t live as long as Sun Wukong and was in a form of hiding soon after revival, so his track record isn’t as disastrously long as Sun Wukong’s to hold over his head and remind you of

And, Macaque having that beloved sass of his, makes his lack of care known, whether or not your parents are nearby at first

He slipped up once about how “Your parents have a stick so far up their ass you’d think it was Wukong’s staff.”

Ok that at least got a chuckle from you

But, you still scolded him, telling to at the very least tone it down when they’re around, especially when you’re also around

He agrees to the terms, although reluctantly with much hesitation at first on the brink of refusal

But you ARE the least toxic thing/the person who cares about him the most in years, and with walls being broken and in no mood or state to build them back up, he’ll at least TRY for your sake to keep you around

It’s an effort you really care about, so he’ll so some care for the sake of you than anything else

Though, despite all of this, the relationship between your parents and Macaque would probably be on the worst note out of the four.

He’s soured by the sands of time and you had to pry his heart open with a crowbar. So he’s not going to be kind or complacent. At least so easily if at all, and that comes in degrees

And how he sees it, if your parents don’t plan to extend the olive branch, why reach for something that ain’t there

You feel bad about it, and Macaque reassures you best he can, but now you know, firmly, there’s no way Macaque and your parents would ever be in an actually positive relationship

i know this is just a bit far fetched on bkdk but hear me out ok?

I feel like Katsuki had other reasons for behaving the way he did towards izuku with the bullying thing outside of “feeling like izuku was putting him down” and his inferiority complex.

We know that Katsuki was praised constantly for his physical abilities and quirk, constantly being told that he was going to be an amazing hero. We also know that Mitsuki tried to combat his ever growing ego by essentially bulling him back, treating him the way he treats others in terms of yelling/name calling/etc. We also know that quicks have an effect on people’s personalities aka mitsuki and katsuki having explosive/extreme personalities and katsukis being even more than his mothers.

Taking all of this into consideration, it is also extremely likely that Katsuki also had feelings for Izuku as kids. Like deep feelings. We know he feels all his feelings in extremes and we also know he’s most comfortable transmuting all of his feelings into rage and anger because he knows exactly how to handle that kind of emotion. If his devoted and loving feelings that he had for Izuku grew into more it’s so possible for him to absolutely panic and not know what to do with the overwhelming newfound emotions and therefore transmutes it all into rage.

Love and Hate are on the same spectrum and as many writers have explosives them being two sides of the same coin, you can’t hate something you didn’t love or care for in the first place.

I’ve always been a believer that Izuku knew and understood his romantic feelings because Inko taught him all of it and more because of how sensitive and vulnerable Izuku was (“crybaby”). Mitsuki was so focused on tampering Katsukis wild rage and explosiveness and ego boosting by everyone around him that i doubt topics like love and feelings came up much at all. (ps this is no hate on mitsuki or maseru i love them but all parents make mistakes ok? ok leave me be). This would give Izuku plenty of time to control and understand his love for Katsuki, but Katsuki who only ever transmuted his feelings into rage because he didn’t understand this encompassing loving devotion to someone is now coming to terms with ALL OF IT and being hit like a brick fucking wall WOTH NOT ONLY HIS REGRETS FOR HOW HE TREATED IZUKU but also because he realized he did those things in a shit attempt to keep Izuku safe and from harm. Katsuki KNOWS Izukus dream is to be a hero and will do anything to be one regardless of his quirkless status and that FUCKING TERRIFIED KATSUKI. Katsuki knew he could protect himself, but could he always protect Izuku when Izuku cared so little about his own well being to the point he ALLOWED Katsuki to bully the fuck out of him for years without ever doing anything about it?? His goal was to crush his dream of being a hero so that he could protect Izuku and keep him safe.

NOW, he knows damn well he would never have been able to stop him. I MEAN HIS REACTION TO IZUKU WITH THE SLIDGE VILLAN? Which is exactly why he stopped bullying him, because he knew Izuku would always be a hero at heart no matter what he did or said. ESPECIALLY being on the same day as the “take a swan dive off the building” like that’s peak heroism on Izukus side and Katsuki KNOWS THAT.

Anyways this turned into a ramble of my own thoughts but i truly believe Katsuki and Izuku have been in love with each other since they met 😘 (if you got this far thanks for reading and lmk if you agree/disagree and why so we can chat about it 😂😭)

Usually, I wouldn’t post about this kinda thing... I’m not even sure this is fully necessary to be posted. I don’t wanna make it seem like I’m trying to grab attention or pity or anything like that just so someone could feel bad for me. No, that’s not the point of this post. But its mostly to show how sensitive and toxic fans could get about a youtube show that’s not even that good.

I’m sorry to all the Vivzipop stans, but whether it’s a fact or opinion of mine, Helluva Boss is NOT the greatest thing on earth people. And it’s not just because of the writing or the characters. It’s just not that good. This web series is not pitch-perfect! It should not be that great to where you should feel the need to go after people who don’t like it.

If you love this show to death to the point where you would call it your most favorite series, then fine. It’s whatever. LOVE the show. I really don’t care. I’m not gonna judge someone for liking something I don’t like. I’m not THAT immature! I’m not gonna make a comment on someone’s post, calling anyone stupid or crazy for shipping Stolitz or saying Stolas or Blitzo are well-written characters or that Stolas makes a great father. I don’t even bother to make a comment on a post about people not liking critiques about HB/HH, saying something like, “Those haters don’t know what they’re talking about!” “What is wrong with these critiques??” “This is a bad take!” Mostly because I would just be wasting my breath.

So with that being said, why make those same comments on a simple critical post!!??

So I made a post about the recent gif of the new and upcoming episode of Helluva Boss. It’s shown with Striker capturing Stolas and they make a ride somewhere on a horse (which is a complete waste of time. Your main objective is to kill him. Just shoot the frikin bird!) And I was mainly ranting about how it didn’t make sense that Stolas was getting captured. I was saying that despite being tied up he could’ve used his abilities and turned Striker into a stone like he did with an imp in episode 2 of season 1, or not even just that, just any of his powers. Though I did make a fair statement saying that whatever was tied around him could be some sort of special angelic rope that could be keeping him from using his powers. All while also pointing out that he is still free to move his legs cuz they don’t appear to be tied together. And his hand is free; he’s on the phone with Blitzo. I also opinionated that this might be another Stolitzo-centric episode and I was not going to like it. And THAT was when the hate comments came my way (No kidding, honestly)

One of them didn’t even seem like it was harassment, but it still annoyed me how they said I was just whining and complaining. They said, “Duh! Blitzo and Stolas are the main couple!” and “If you don’t like it, then don’t watch!” “What’s the problem with it?”

You wanna know why that’s a problem?

Okay. First off... Stolas and Blitzo are NOT EVEN A COUPLE! I don’t know where the crew is going with these two, but they’re not even official yet. Plus, there is no point continuing with the Stolitz-centric BS if it’s going to take long for them to become a thing. And how can they be?? How would it even make sense? I highly doubt Stolas would even make a good boyfriend. Stolas being the horny perverted dick-for-brains that he is does nothing but flirt with Blitzo and makes inappropriate remarks at him to the point where they have to censor his words. All he ever did was make Blitzo uncomfortable, and he knew that!!

Not to mention he forced Blitzo into an agreement to have sex with him each month in exchange for a book which is totally pointless now! Especially when there’s this thing called asmodean crystals, where you could use them to go to the living world anytime you want!! And at that moment, he saw through one of the bath bubbles that Blitzo was in the middle of a dangerous predicament and STILL decided to call him at the worst time just to make this deal. Since it was in the heat of the moment, Blitzo felt he had to agree with him just so he could end the conversation and get back to finishing his job while staying alive. That just goes to show me that Stolas was using this to his advantage to make Blitzo agree with him since he saw what was going on and decided to call him while his life was on the line. He totally knew what he was doing!! And since being caught by humans is SUCH a bad thing and would cost your reputation, why risk that kind of possibility with no ounce of concern for your “boyfriend’s” safety?

And instead of seeing Blitzo as a person with FEELINGS, why does Stolas call him his, “Impish Little Plaything”? He’s practically telling Blitzo, “I OWN YOU!” He was literally taking advantage of him and manipulating him!!! And if he loves Blitzo oh so much, why does Stolas still feel so entitled while looking down on the imp race! He’s not even as nice to Moxxie or Millie. And he even abused his butler!!

And then there was that time on their date when Asmodeus was calling him out on having an affair with Blitzo and had the absolute NERVE to try and hide his face!! Why was he suddenly embarrassed about that anyway? This was NOT the first time where he was seen in public with him. He was fully obligated to show himself at the door with Blitzo in front of that guard that wouldn’t let him in. He even flirted with Blitzo in front of everybody at that Harvest Moon Festival!! And now, all of a sudden, he’s embarrassed to be seen with? And he had the AUDACITY to invite Blitzo into his home to cuddle with him!!!

It’s not like Blitzo is innocent in this either. He also manipulated Stolas just to get what he wanted. Not once, but twice. He tricked Stolas into stealing all of his father’s belongings when they were kids. Tricked him ONCE AGAIN when they grew up, seducing him as a way to distract him while stealing his grimoire. Blitzo didn’t even care about him. He probably didn’t even want to see him after all those years! He was just there to take the book and LEAVE!! And he only went along with having sex with him out of pity.

How can we even call these two a couple, yet Blitzo was so quick to let Sharkboy bang him in his room! And why did we hear Stolas call Striker “sexy” while on the phone with Blitzo in one of the leaks???

Yeah... main couple my ass....

These commenters go on to say something like, “You’re not critiquing! All you’re doing is complaining! You’re just being a hater!!”

Now, let me explain the difference between criticism and hate:

Criticism - the expression of disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes.

the analysis and judgment of the merits and faults of a literary or artistic work.

Criticism can be positive or negative. I mostly give negative criticism while also showing some irritation and annoyance about whatever I’m talking about. I’m pretty sure that’s mostly where they think I’m just complaining or hating on it.

Okay, so I like to express my feelings... so what??? EVERYONE does it when they give a critical analysis. And I’ll admit, I do hate the show. I definitely don’t feel for it like I did when the pilot first came out. But at least I actually have A REASON for hating it. More than a few reasons in fact.

Speaking of hate -

Hate - the feeling of intense or passionate dislike for someone or something.

People always say that hate is a strong word, and I can agree. But the difference is that when you hate something, there is no reason or logic. When you hate something, you don’t care at all about wanting that something to improve or get better than how it is. It doesn't matter, because you just hate it that much! All there is is mockery and disrespect. And when you express hate, you’re attacking someone or harassing them with your harsh words.

And me hating something is different, cuz at least I’m actually expressing the reason why I don’t like it. And I’m not trying to harass ANYONE!! I’m just saying what I think is wrong, why I think it’s wrong, and that I don’t like it! And I actually WANT HB to get better.

Some may think I’m complaining about something when really all I’m doing is stating a fact or opinion.

"the writers will come up with a stupid bad reason” is not a good critique, it's just complaining.

Well sh*t, am I lying??? Man cheats on his wife, and we all know cheating is wrong, no matter why he did it. Oh, but wait- turns out she’s very abusive toward him and doesn’t love him at all! So now, it’s suddenly okay that he cheats. And despite hating him, she still decides to stick around and not divorce him just because she likes to torment him. Why does she like to torment him? Who knows! She’s just evil by nature as it turns out! Man could divorce said wife himself, but only sticks around for the sake of his daughter so she could live a normal life even though he and his wife already constantly fight in front of her. Can’t ignore the fact that he flirts with someone in front of her and continues his affair with that someone despite how she felt about it.... and he just wants her to be happy....

Yeah... definitely makes total sense.

Then they say this, “Maybe Stolas isn’t escaping because it’s a comedy show, DUH!! Things aren’t supposed to make sense. Sometimes things happen and you have to go along with it.”

No...No, sweetheart. That’s not how things work. Besides, for a comedy show that’s not supposed to make sense and be taken seriously, they really try their hardest to tackle some serious moments that are supposed to be soo emotional. And with the way THEY’RE doing it, it’s not very easy for me to just go along with it. There are some things I just can’t ignore and I’m going to feel annoyed by them. I’m sorry (I’m really not)

And as for, “If you don’t like it, then don’t watch it!”

Let me tell y’all somethin’.... If I wanna criticize and post about shows that I think need criticism, then I’m gonna continue to watch the show. If I wanna put anti-tags on posts, then will do that. And if I wanna watch something simply to laugh and make fun of it, then I will. If YOU don’t like that, then that’s on you. Just know that all you’re doing is wasting time typing your butthurt comments about me “complaining” about something knowing damn well I’m going to continue making criticism regardless of how you feel when you can simply just ignore me. Better yet, just BLOCK ME so you won’t have to see me complain about your precious favorite show ever again. I don’t understand what’s so hard about that. It won’t take but a couple of clicks of a button.

And lastly, one of these comments go on to harass me, calling me pathetic and mentioning this, “How could you hate on something, make art of it and sell it?? You can’t even come up with anything creative on your own! How pathetic!” And it is a VERY stupid reason to come at me over a criticism post. I don’t like HB, there are a lot of people who don’t like HB, but lots of other folks do. So I make art of it and I sell it. And it’s not like I’m intentionally stealing anything. I know I’m drawing the same art style, but I’m creating my own designs of my OCs. I’m not the only person who does this, mind you! I’ve seen plenty of artists do this on Twitter and Deviantart. So what this person is trying to point out here is completely irrelevant!

I may have replied back and said, “There are other people who do this kinda thing. So go and harass them! Go back and forth on their post!” I really didn’t wanna recommend they do this to other people, so I apologize on behalf of the people who sell art with this style or criticize this show for saying that. I was mostly just telling them what’s the point of coming at me for this reason when other people do it too. Like I said, all they’re doing is wasting their time knowing we are never going to hear them out.

So yeah, I just wanted to put this out there. These guys really irritated me. Looks like I joined the club, being harassed by toxic fans. Adult Katniss responds to Peeta anti takes: Part One

(It's a Part One because I'm sure there will be more to come.)

Notes: This post and the potential other posts in this series were inspired by this post. Thanks to @mellarked-katnisseverdeen and @periwinckles for the idea!

So I've heard some people saying Peeta Mellark is weak and needed rescue all the time. I'm breaking my silence about it simply because I can't stand Peeta slander.

To whoever has been spreading these lies:

1. Do you realise how many times Peeta has saved me?

We protect each other. That's what we do. There's an old saying, no one loves for no reason. We don't risk our own lives trying to save each other for no reason. He risked his safety for me first when we were kids. He's the one who took the first step and I just followed suit.

Are you mad because I never risked my life saving yours? Well, good luck with that because there's no time machine for you to go back and save me when I was starving as a kid. Peeta was the only one who cared and he did save me.

He's still saving me every day since he planted the primrose for me. I didn't have the drive to live anymore before he came back home. He's the reason I'm alive today and I'm so pissed off that some people are slandering him in MY NAME. This needs to stop.

2. I didn't describe how strong Peeta in the books multiple times for you to say he's weak.

I'm astonished by how many people lack the ability to comprehend the surface meaning of my writing. I thought I was a decent enough writer? People like you are making me doubt my own writing ability. Thank God I didn't know you existed when I was younger. I didn't need to be insecure about my writing on top of everything I went through as a teen.

Peeta has been strong since we were younger. I explicitly described how he could carry heavy flour sacks and how he was in second place in a school wrestling match, only after his OLDER brother.

It's also false that he's not able to kill people. He killed Brutus, who was arguably the strongest contestant in the Quarter Quell, WITH HIS BARE HANDS. He lost his knife and was trying desperately to find me. He could kill almost anyone if he needs to. He just hates the idea of killing and prefers not to kill if possible. If you call that weak, I suggest you turn yourself in at a psych ward because it's only a matter of time before you try to kill for fun or to prove you're "strong."

3. Mental strength is more important than physical strength, which is what most people lack. Fortunately, Peeta has both.

Peeta's intelligence is his strongest weapon and also what I needed in the beginning. He was the first to realise what was the most important thing when he told me he didn't want them to change him. I was still struggling with the idea of survival and didn't have the mental strength to think that far. He did and he gave me the strength to fight for my true self.

He lost everything during the few years after our first games. He lost his leg, his WHOLE family, almost ALL of his friends, part of his memories and sanity, but he still came back stronger. I never thought some people would be too dumb to see how hard that is, but here we are.

I'm considered a strong person by most and I almost lost the will to live twice during those years, once when Peeta was taken and once when Prim was killed. Peeta lost his whole family and so many friends at the same time, yet he was the one to stop me from taking that Nightlock pill. I can't tell you how hard it is. I can only say I couldn't be that strong.

Don't even get me started on the hijacking. I thought for sure I lost him when that happened, but he came back to me with his unbelievably incredible mental strenghth. I honestly don't think anyone else I know would've been able to do that.

This is turning into a full-length essay so I'm leaving it here. See you losers the next time you say anything bad about Peeta!

As a woman who is 30 years old, I’d like to say I think I know a thing or two about myself. I’ve had the “ability to get pregnant “ for 2 decades now and going on my 3rd. I remember vividly when I got my first menstrual cycle my mother was almost a little too happy about it. She went on and on about now being able to create a life and carry inside. For as long as I can remember have never had any want or desire to take care of children or to have my own. I remember saying to her that I did not want to be a “young woman” and did not want to be “able to make a child.” I was 10 at the time and she had just laughed at what I said. And for many years after that, she continued to scoff and roll her eyes at the thought of me not wanting to be a mother.

Growing up I did not like hanging out with children my age. I always wanted to be with the adults. I have never looked at a mother and thought gee I want that. Nothing about motherhood interests me. Not getting pregnant. The act of childbirth. Taking care of the said child. Or dealing with school functions, recitals, games, and or anything to do with child events.

I do not wish any ill or pain to any children. I get mad when I hear or see mistreatment. But do I wish to step into the role to fix it, no.

I grew up with parents that I do not believe should have had children. They were young and children themselves at the time. My mom was pregnant at 18 and again at 19 and again at 21. That always seemed nuts to me.

I remember being forced against my will to take care of my cousins growing up. Did not appreciate. I understand that adults need time but I am not your resident babysitter especially when I was 16 or so when that shit would happen.

Growing up in LV I would always see large families of unruly children and it always upset me. The lack of supervision of the kids I truly did not understand. I know that kids are still learning but as an adult and their parent you should be teaching them right from wrong. Right? Your child should not be screaming at the top of their lungs because you didn’t want to buy them a stupid toy. Your child is not supposed to be climbing up strangers and asking for what they are eating. Don’t you touch them stranger danger???

Kids are gross to me. They shit on themselves. They throw up on themselves. They piss on themselves. They always get dirty no matter what. They smell. I don’t understand why they are always sticky. It is just not for me.

I do not have the patience nor do I want to gain the patience. I feel for kids the way someone might feel about animals. Some people are not pet-friendly people. Which I get. I am not too crazy about dogs. I prefer dogs over kids. And I prefer cats over dogs.

Just a rant. I got to the point where I am tired of acting like I can just suffer in silence with children around when I can’t. They are too loud for my comfort. Top hyper and active for my comfort. Hate when I catch one just staring at me. Like no. I can not.

I can choose to avoid them as much as possible and that is what I want to do. No offense to any parents. I just feel indifferent to every child.

Now that I have explored social media and just the internet I know that I am not alone. I am a child-free woman who does not like children. Just because I have ovaries and a fucking vagina does not mean I automatically love children and want to step into a role to take care of them and love them.

Plenty of people become parents that should not be. Plenty of people wish to be one but can’t. Life is shitty sometimes. I doubt my thoughts of children will change since I am 30 and it has never floundered but who knows.

I am done faking a smile when your annoying child annoys me. Will I be mean to them no but I will walk away and not engage. I think my patience is at negative at this point in my life.

Sibling Relationships in "Walking on a Star Unknown"

Like Segawa's other games, "Walking on a Star Unknown" is heavy on themes of trauma. Despite the relatively light tone of the game, the natives of Calpucca still haven't forgotten the Starling War, and spirits still linger in Yunerium and Fort Baobab, unable to move on due to their hate, fear, and anger. Some Calpuccans are still wary of aliens, like the king himself, Giera Toph.

Some traumas, however, are present on a smaller — yet no less significant — scale, such as the death of a parent. (Now that I think about it, where are all the parents in this game??) In this meta, I will examine the parallels between three sibling relationships, the way Segawa integrates trauma into them as a theme, and how the relationships present by the end of the game.

Spoilers ahead!

Eddie and Fukuro

First up, our main characters. Right off the bat, we can see that the two of them have a very healthy relationship: They address each other with terms of affection, complement each other's abilities and weaknesses, and have each other's backs no matter what. They're nearly inseparable throughout the main game, and in the bonus room, if you ask Eddie as Twelam whether he's lonely without Fukuro, he readily admits that, "to be honest," he is. The two even sleep and bathe together, which Twelam is shocked by.

The Owul siblings rarely get mad at each other, except for when Eddie apparently takes food from Fukuro. Overall, they exhibit secure attachment to their late mother (in whose memory they're travelling the cosmos) and each other. Attachment styles describe patterns of how a person interacts with their relationships, beginning in childhood and extending into adulthood; as adults, individuals with secure attachment:

Have trusting, lasting relationships

Tend to have good self-esteem

Share feelings with partners and friends

Seek out social support

Given the sheer amount of friends they make on Calpucca, their trust in one another, and their deep love for their mother, we can see that Eddie and Fukuro fulfil points 1 and 4. They rarely ever show self-doubt or low self-esteem and are always up for the challenge, demonstrating point 2. And the Owul siblings pretty freely express themselves to others even with Fukuro's naturally reserved nature, demonstrating point 3. The Owul siblings are a really healthy pair of siblings, which has undoubtedly helped them prop each other up after the loss of their mother. Thanks to the immense love and care they grew up with, they are happy, healthy kids who protect each other from harm and difficulty. Even when things happen to them that are frightful or disturbing (such as the hallucinations in Yunerium or Nuage), they don't appear to remain fazed after the event. One can only imagine the methods they have of cheering each other up if the other ever feels scared or down.

Rius and Toph

By contrast, Rius and Toph, the royals of Calpucca, have a somewhat tense relationship at the beginning of the game. Part of this may be the much larger age gap between them — Rius is 27 while Toph is 13, so there's nearly a generation between them — but as we learn with each passing day, the real issue is Toph's distrust of aliens. Rius, of course, is married to one.

Rius and Toph's relationship is, in my opinion, particularly fascinating due to the role trauma plays in it. Pretty much all of the hurt lands in Toph's court, which we'll discuss later on — but also, intergenerational trauma plays a big role in why they can't see eye to eye. Rius, an independent-minded, optimistic woman who self-admittedly lives for love, forfeits her royal privileges when she marries the alien Daios after he wins the Gourmate Cooking Tournament; in her opinion, it's high time they adopt a more progressive outlook, in part because she wants Toph to accept her and Daios for who they are. Toph, on the other hand, would have been taught as the future ruler of Calpucca what aliens had done to his people and his planet during the invasion of Megalopolis, and from what I understand, xenophobia has been a recurring theme with Calpucca's rulers, not just with Toph. With this history lesson firmly established, Rius eloping with Daios must have been a confirmation of the things he had learnt. "Aliens are dangerous. One has even stolen my sister!"

At the time Rius left, Toph would have also been eight — a tender age to be abandoned by an older sibling, one he obviously looks up to. As children, we are often ill-equipped to process everything we're feeling, and we see that in Toph, too. We see that he does feel abandoned, because he keeps muttering to himself that he wishes Rius would come back to live at the castle. He asks — borderline demands — this of her whenever they meet, and she draws a firm boundary every time: "I love you, but I can't lie to you or myself about what I want." Just like how his understanding of the past prevents Toph from showing goodwill towards aliens, Toph's desire for how things were before Rius left prevents him from seeing the potential of reconnecting with her in the present. It's not until the Owul siblings lend a hand that the situation is able to change, and Toph himself remarks on the nature of the Owuls' relationship several times, unable to help being reminded of his sister.

Happily, the two are able to reconcile by the end of the game due to a family crisis (and some cats) pulling them together, and we see the surest sign of progress between them in the Bonus Room: Rius and Daios have a daughter, the result of love between a royal and an alien, and "Unca Toph" is just as concerned for her well-being and future as he would be his sister's.

Guntram and Twelam

Where Fukuro and Eddie are close siblings, and Rius and Toph would be close if not for Toph's stubbornness and unwillingness to change, Guntram and Twelam are completely dysfunctional and probably always will be. These two are my favourite, as will soon become apparent, but just so you know, I have a personal hypothesis that Segawa designed these two to be foils to the Owul siblings. After all:

Both sibling pairs have incredibly similar designs to each other. (Rius and Toph too, but the resemblance is lessened by the age difference.)

Both sibling pairs are four years apart (Eddie and Fukuro: 17 and 13; Guntram and Twelam: 32 and 28).

Both have an older brother and a younger sister.

Eddie and Fukuro's main colour is red, while Guntram and Twelam's is green (complementary colours).

Both sibling pairs have recently lost a parent (the Owuls their mother, the Hamelins their father).

Eddie and Fukuro have a stable, securely attached sibling relationship, while Guntram and Twelam... don't.

Despite their many similarities (music as a career, love of children, taste in style/fashion, the same tendency to get lost in thought, deep loneliness), there's no sense of warmth or intimacy between the Hamelins at all. Where Eddie and Fukuro are inseparable, you meet the two of them conducting their own independent investigations on Day 2 in Sirene — they even view each other as competition! Though they live in the same house, they rarely occupy the same room, and they don't intersect much in their professional careers. Eddie's and Fukuro's differences make up for where the other is weak or not as skilled; Guntram and Twelam's differences are sources of tension, with Guntram thinking Twelam is too wild and impulsive and Twelam thinking Guntram is stuffy, timid, and gloomy. To really hammer it in, they live in the always-cold northern town of Eluta, where their parents' legacy haunts them.

And yet — one gets the sense that they do care about each other, if they can't exactly show it. Guntram nags Twelam, trying to look after her in his own way. When she has complaints about Guntram, Twelam will air them, but she's not so straightforward when she's concerned for him: "Oshino misses him," she'll say. Or she'll lash out in anger, threatening to burn down everything he cares for so that he can move on.

Because there is something for the two of them to move on from, an intergenerational trauma on a smaller scale than Toph and the Starling War: their relationship with, and the death of, their parents. After his wife's death, Guntram's father became punishing to the point that Guntram abandoned his own interests and dreams out of deference; he loves, fears, and respects his father, as even at 32 he's struggling to find a direction in life he can call his own. The siblings' mother died shortly after Twelam was born, meanwhile; she grew up emotionally neglected, with her brother being the main focus of their father's tutelage and no memory of the same warmth and kindness her brother remembers of Meryl. The two are not close because they were never taught to be; Guntram was pushed and pushed to become the best musician he could, while Twelam took off in her own direction and was praised for her assertiveness.

As you get closer to the Hamelin siblings, their arcs involve little of each other at all: Instead, Guntram realises his dream of putting on a children's concert, while Twelam is finally able to grasp the piece in her family history she always felt was missing (just like the music box was missing its key). Twelam is envious of the Owuls' closeness, while Guntram thinks far more about his father than his younger sister. There's potential for the Hamelin siblings to reconnect, but they don't by the end of their stories like Rius and Toph. Probably they'll have to really work at it to get anywhere, but the game doesn't give us, the audience, that guarantee. Their problems are larger than Fukuro or Eddie are capable of mending: They're so independent of one another that it's up to them to approach the beast on their own.

Conclusion

There are three main sibling relationships present in "Walking on a Star Unknown": the Owul siblings (Fukuro and Eddie), the royals (Rius and Toph), and the Hamelins (Guntram and Twelam). Of the three, Eddie and Fukuro are the closest and the most secure, able to work in tandem to address challenges and overcome obstacles. Rius and Toph are divided by their differing perspectives on aliens, largely based on Toph's personal feelings of abandonment and distrust in the aftermath of the Starling War, but Fukuro and Eddie are the final straw in his acceptance of them (and Rius's marriage to Daios). Finally, Guntram and Twelam have the most dysfunctional sibling relationship in the game, something that stems from the vastly different treatment they received from their father: Guntram was overly controlled, while Twelam was left to follow her whims.

While all three sibling pairs have experienced sadness and hardship, Eddie and Fukuro are so supportive of one another that their mother's legacy has been turned into something that brings joy to themselves and others, not pain; Rius and Toph can't see eye to eye until Toph is made to break out of his preexisting beliefs and see the error of his ways; and Guntram and Twelam, despite coming to understand themselves better over the course of the game, have only begun laying the groundwork for the improvement of their relationship. If there's anything the game tells us, though, it's that Eddie and Fukuro's relationship has had a positive influence on the other two — they may not have fixed everything overnight, but even three days is sufficient to make changes, one that will make a difference in the others' lives forever. Really, that's a theme that runs strong in all of the character routes in Walking On A Star Unknown: There's a sense that, however brief the contact, how far away they are in the universe, or how long it will be until they see each other again, Eddie and Fukuro lit up their friends' lives just as the Langturns did their paths through Calpucca. Because of their status as aliens and their strong familial bonds, they are able to show the others that there are other ways of being, other ways of seeing. In turn, the residents of Calpucca have indelibly left a mark on the Owuls, as well.

Ello! How do you think the girls will react and take care of their respective others when they are down sick and vice versa. Its always cute when one of the mcs is sick and the other is worried and takes care of them

Aww. This is a really cute idea. And they have such different dynamics that there's a lot to look at here.

Here are my headcanons!

First and foremost, all of the guys hire private caretakers. They could handle things like making sure their partner is taking their meds and staying hydrated (Kai being the most capable). At the same time, they would need help with cooking, childcare, etc.

Will is a huuuuge baby when he's sick. The kind that sneezes and cries, "babe, I'm dying!" It's a joke... mostly. He does exaggerate his symptoms, but he genuinely feels awful. Fortunately, Emmy is used to the role of caretaker because of her grandma. Remembering meds, fluids, and preparing healthy meals are all things in her wheelhouse. She's probably fine with the more disgusting parts of being sick, and can power through them without complaint. Doesn't mean she rolls over for him. "Babe, I need my pillows fluffed," would be met with a flat expression and a middle finger as she left the room. However, she's attentive to his (actual) needs.

When Emmy gets sick, the house doesn't fall apart, but Will thinks it's going to. He doubts his abilities too much, but he's not that bad and keeping things going. He's likely to have a nurse come in to check on her, making sure she's not getting worse, and explain each of the medications to him. I think sometimes, he could be over attentive, and go over board in trying to cover all his bases. As for their three children, he's go that handled. Their kids that understand that Mom needs rest, and that Dad is fun to play with. II is also a big help, making sure his mom has everything she needs from water to tissues to extra blankets. He would absolutely fluff her pillows.

Their sick days are filled with watching bad reality TV and eating soup when the other isn't resting.

Damon would refuse to accept he's sick until he's literally bedridden. The entire time, Winter would know he's getting sick. "You're voice sounds different. Are you sure you're not getting congested?" Does Damon listen? No. He's fine. Until he wakes up one morning with a fever and can't move without being pain.

Winter would need help. She can't handle the kids and Damon, and keep track of everything in the house., but they have the nanny and that helps with the kids. I still think she hires a nurse, but that also has it's own issues. Damon hates any other woman coming into his lair room, touching him, touching his things. He also doesn't want some random man doing it either. He's mean and snappy and grumpy, and Winter would worry about the caretaker's safety if it wasn't for the fact that he couldn't lift himself from the bed.

Which is kind of a funny image in her head, not that she'd let him catch her laughing.

When Winter gets sick, she's low maintenance... or tries to be. Damon forces a team of very confused nurses and doctors to attend to her needs. Winter eventually gets him to let them leave, letting him know she trusts him to be enough.

They don't really leave their room, and fully attend to each other needs with all of their attention. When Damon is sick, all he really wants is to hold Winter. Or be held. Or have her close. He wants comfort and Winter is happy to be that. And there is some comfort in knowing Damon would force some poor doctor to bring her back from the dead, possibly including an actual Satanic ritual if it comes to that. But this is just a cold, and she's fine.

Kai rarely gets sick. He keeps such a healthy routine and pays attention to his immune system. If something feels even slightly off, he addresses it quickly. But every once in a while, even he gets taken down. I see Kai not wanting anyone to attend to him, and Banks is patient with him as he tries to pretend he doesn't need help. Still, she knows his favorite tea and what he likes to eat when he's feeling under the weather. Each time Kai is struggling get out of the bed, and Banks appears with soup and meds telling him (demanding, really) to lay back down and rest, he's so incredibly humbled. And grateful.

Banks, like her brother, doesn't find it easy to admit that she's getting sick. She doesn't want to be taken care of. But Kai, more than the others, knows what to do. He's confident in his ability to manage the house, kids, business, and Banks being down. He's good at delegating his other duties to prioritize her, and if he calls in any help, it's a doctor that makes house calls so she doesn't have to leave the house, and a house keeper to help with laundry and things.

They both try to push their limits when sick and the other has to check them. They'll spend their time making sure the sick person is actually resting.

Michael is pretty simple when he's sick. He tries to fight it off, but when he's sick, he goes to the doctor, gets his meds, and follows directions. He doesn't whine too much, but he's extremely grumpy. Rika finds it funny, and laughs as she helps, poking fun of him in his helpless state a little bit, since he can't really do anything. As gross as colds are, it's still much better that helping her mom from the bathroom floor to the bed after a particularly bad night. She'd take sick Michael over that any day.

Rika hates getting sick, but she can usually feel it coming. She tries to be low maintenance but in actuality she loves be doted on by Michael. Loves it when he takes care of her himself, but even seeing the way he watches over the doctor is sweet to her. She can sense how important it is to him that she get the best care. However, she knows she doesn't need all that fuss and takes care of herself pretty well, despite Michael's protest.

Overall, they're both high maintenance but pretend not to be.

Not confident in the accuracy, but I think these are cute little scenarios for them. Let me know what you think or what your headcanons are!

vanessa headcanons / portrayal notes but i'm too lazy to make her headcanon banner or even write coherent thoughts so you just get a bullet point list:

definitely a reluctant follower but as things progress she gets more. . . attached might be a strong word, but she stops hating glitch so much. this does not last once she escapes him obv

like it's literally: oh funny rabbit guy but this is a glitch i need to figure out -> okay i hate his vibe -> get out of my head i hate you -> i might as well learn to live with you -> i've completely isolated myself from all friends except you so i guess that makes you. . . almost a friend -> post-game deeply traumatizing by the violating of like. literally having her autonomy taken away from her

still carries deep guilt and resentment for the murders during moments where she's fighting back / he's not in control at all

vanessa is the only fucking character in fn.af who would genuinely seek therapy after every thing and i think she should get an award for that

researches the franchise + william af.ton in a lot of detail when The Hell Begins and is horrified but also has to deal with glitch being very fond of his very dead creator

basically, not in the suit: glitch is like an annoying little voice in her head who she has to stop herself from arguing out loud with in the supermarket

in the suit: he's like. not Literally in control but heavily, heavily, heavily influences her thoughts and actions. can make her think almost anything is the right decision

( okay it's not as simple as "in the suit" and "out of the suit," but you catch my drift. she can absolutely "come out of it" while wearing the suit, and she can def be under his control while not )

i said it before but: scene girl in high school. like, she has rainbow extensions when not under glitch's control, of course she was a scene girl

genuinely loves the glamr.ocks, despite everything

generally i don't want to go with her owning / being in complete charge of the pizza.plex because that's silly to me, but i don't have an alternative, esp because like who would it be??? i just shrug.

genuinely concerned abt gregory or any other kid who gets in, esp because she Knows What's Going On. she literally knows that she's a threat herself.

completely traumatized post-game to the point that she questions whether her own thoughts are "really" hers. she seriously doubts her own sanity at times, is often scared she didn't "actually" get rid of glitch, and questions her ability ( and worthiness, given her actions under brainwashing ) to take care of herself, much less gregory

like i mention on her page, i'm open to writing any ending and don't treat one as canon on this blog. however, it should be noted that i'm not a fan of the burnt.rap ending ( fully biased by the fact that i don't like burnt.rap's existence ). that's not to say i'm not willing to write it, but i'm prob not interested in writing directly with burnt.rap himself

as also mentioned on her page, she's a lesbian, so there won't be any shipping with her and glitch or william ( or any man lmao ). if glitch still wants to be weird, that's on him, but she won't be receptive period.

loves creative stuff!! is an artist ( esp with pencils or digital, but can paint a bit ), enjoys decorating her apartment, and adores dressing up in pretty clothes!

also genuinely enjoys programming. yes, it is soured for her post-game.

will self-sabotage herself even pre-game ( eating nothing but takeout, not getting outside enough, isolating, etc ). therapy helps post-game.
