Headcanon A-Z meme

(To quickly answer that last part- punching is almost ALWAYS involved, let's be honest lmao) Seriously, though? Her thinking, when it's called for, can be pretty damn creative. I mean, she's lead a few teams of her own for that reason- she's got the skills for strategy and also good on-the-spot decision making, including the capabilities to scrap a plan and quickly replace it with a new one on the dime if needed. (Though in the case of "creative" meaning something more artsy- she'll leave that up to other people. She likes to read, she enjoys her share of music and media too, but she's not inclined towards making it herself. She's got too much other shit to do and not enough time to hone a skill like that. Though in her adolescence, as a teenager, she did have a phase where she really wanted to take up learning to drum and/or play guitar (during her more punk/emo phase lmao). It never went anywhere because, again, lack of time and, though Raven and Irene were generally actually fairly supportive of plenty of her interests, they didn't want her wasting time on that when she had more "important" things to be doing.)

Do they seek out the opinions of others or rely on their own ideas? She tends to lean towards being as self-reliant as possible (though, in all honesty, she's generally more of a follower than a leader, especially when she's younger and still learning about herself and her place in the world), so it should come as no surprise to hear that she relies mostly on her own ideas. She will, in times of distress, confusion, or just "weakness" (it's not an actual weakness, but she perceives it as such- at least in relation to herself), however, more subtly seek out the opinions of others. Again, as she gets older, she realizes that's not something she needs to feel embarrassed or hesitant about doing, so she gets better about asking for help or asking about the ideas/thoughts/opinions of others when she's unsure of something. But generally speaking, she tends to rely on herself. It's a trust thing, mostly. Her issues with trust are rooted incredibly deep, after all.

What's their problem solving approach? If it's something that can be hit? Then hit it until the problem is solved! Easy as that! lmao Seriously, it's worked out for her well in the past and she's a damn good fighter- especially in hand-to-hand combat (and even more so after she has the strength of Carol Danvers and, later (post losing Carol's powers), Simon Williams). But if she CAN'T simply fight her way out of it? She's smarter than she lets on- she's the kinda girl to look at things from as many angles as possible and work out a plan that way. She's pretty good at laying out the ways a plan might go wrong and preparing to curb the chances of failure in whatever ways possible. And if that's not gonna work? Well, she's usually equipped with a back up plan. Of course, in the superhero game, things don't usually go as planned and it's impossible to prepare for every outcome, obviously. But, as I said before, she's quick at improvising or just winging it lmao Much to her detriment, however, is the fact that she's spent a good portion of her life learning to fight ALONE. That's not to say she didn't have a team when she was with the Brotherhood, but there were plenty of times that they were split up and she was left to fight by herself. Not to mention, it wasn't always a "look out for each other" kind of thing. In fact, she was used to focusing more on herself than worrying about other team members. So, at least when she's younger, a lot of her spur of the moment planning is focused on herself and what she can do as a centerpiece. Not because she's self-centered or anything, but because that's how she was taught. So it's something she's had to learn to overcome- to not put the brunt of it all on her shoulders when there are other people who are fully capable of helping and doing their part.

my thoughts:

my favorite little guys in anything ever. they surgically removed my personality to make room for more sefikura. truly i have never loved a ship as much as this one. literal otp of all time.

What makes me happy about them:

everything? they're so funny and silly to me. extremely pathetic creatures. two absolute losers. i think of them and i always smile. i love the fact that each of them have independently made their personality revolve around each other at different points in time, it's so funny.

What makes me sad about them:

EVERYTHING. the fact they will never have a happy ending. the fact they will be enemies in every (canon) universe. the fact they are two extremely broken people who are uniquely equipped to understand each other and that won't be enough to save them.

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

tbh i'm so picky with what i like and don't like about how both these guys often end up characterized, but i also think all interpretations are valuable in their own way. i can't think of any huge annoyances, except that i have very Specific feelings/headcanons about sephiroth in crisis core era, and usually won't read things that veer too far away from that.

things I look for in fanfic:

i love any and all fics where the author makes it obvious that sephiroth is just. completely besotted. and i think cloud feeds off of that, even if he won't admit it. i'll read just about anything with these two, but i especially love stories where authors can articulate the crux of their dysfunction really well. yes, these two have have immense amounts of hate, and blood, and pain between them, but (especially on sephiroth's end) there is also an Intense desire for intimacy, of any kind. these two things juxtaposed well is just magical to me.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

no one. i say that as a joke but it's pretty much true. for cloud i do also ship him hardcore with aerith (somewhat against my own will XD), but outside of that i don't really multiship these two anymore. i used to be a Hardcore multishipper, and while i still appreciate things like some polyshipping (other cleriseph enjoyers where are you, i need food of that ot3 so bad), i honestly can't enjoy the thought of them being with anyone else. i miss being a multishipper, because these days pretty much every single other ship with them (outside of clerith) has become a notp for me. ;w;

My happily ever after for them:

in canon? haha. the closest i could see them in canon ffvii (and the closest i think part 3 of remake would get to giving them a 'happy' ending) is having a moment of resolution similar to what kuja and zidane get in ffix. i would be satisfied with that for canon. BUT if we're taking all the stops off, i want to see the dramatic epic pining slowburn post-AC where they eventually figure out how to lead semi-normal lives alongside each other. this is making me want to write that now....maybe that will be my next fic project.

who is the big spoon/little spoon:

there's an obvious answer here with consideration to builds and hair lengths, i think. i like to think cloud has accepted his fate to have this 7 foot tall piece of brick clinging to him like an octopus.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity:

this is another obvious one, and i'm tempted to say 'fighting', but i'm not sure that clears the bar of non-sexual for them. my second choice is that i think they would just genuinely enjoy being around each other in silence. they're both such introverts, and i like to think of them just recharging quietly with each other.

when I started shipping it if I did:

let me preface this by saying that when remake came out in 2020, i had less than zero interest in vii's infamous love triangle. i wanted no piece of it in my heart or my home. then the game came out and cloud and aerith gripped me by the throat and violently dragged me into falling in love with them by being so damn charming and heartfelt and perfect for each other.

my thoughts:

i love these two so damn much. i really Really loved them in remake, and rebirth intensified this to a level i could Not have anticipated and is currently ruining my life. i love them. i love that they are soulmates, romantic, platonic, or something in-between. i love that their bond and chemistry is near-instantaneous, i love that cloud blooms into letting himself experience softness around her, i love that aerith finally has someone who cares about making her happy and standing by her so damn much.

What makes me happy about them:

so much. their love is so pure and tentative. their vibes to me run parallel to how i see and experience the early 20s as a queer person, essentially the second teenage-hood where you're still feeling yourself out as a person, and you have no idea what you're doing. you feel like you're missing out on a lot of the fundamental experiences that 'normal' people have already had, and i feel like both cloud and aerith mirror that emotion, thanks to the fucked up circumstances of both their lives. aerith is cloud's first real friend after nibelheim (and potentially ever, depending on how close you think he was with zack. to me, i hc cloud and zack were pretty friendly, but not especially close prior to the nibelheim incident.) and cloud is also one of aerith's first friends. they've both suffered such acute loneliness and isolation in their lives, and the fact they find healing for that in each other is so so special to me. the fact that aerith is the person most able to reach through to the person cloud Really is, even under everything he's got going on, makes me so deranged.

What makes me sad about them:

well. there is a very obvious answer. so there is definitely That. that's kind of a big deal.

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

honestly i feel like i don't have many specific fanfic annoyances in general, because if a fic annoys me i just stop reading it, and then my adhd makes me forget i read it to begin with.

things I look for in fanfic:

i really love everything with these two, i love all the cute fluff happy ever afters they don't get to have in canon, but i also love the angst and the drama and the trauma. usually i just gravitate towards any fics that i feel understands the characters well or has interesting ideas, the exact plot or type of scenario is less important to me.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

in my heart, cloud's endgame ship is always sephiroth. as for aerith, i'm also a Huge zerith shipper (yes i am in constant emotional pain, how did you know), but aeriseph also firmly has a place in my heart.

My happily ever after for them:

any. any of them. i want the most tooth-rotting fluffy ending for these two. (admittedly, their iconic tragedy is a part of why i love them so bad. without it, my emotional investment would be Nowhere near as high.) i've been reading a lot of wedding/alternate future fics with these two lately and they all make me ;w;

i genuinely think it goes both ways, but if i had to say i think cloud is doomed to be a little spoon in any lifetime.

he was raised in a conservative catholic household. this may raise some eyebrows, but i see it in his GIGANTIC guilt/martyr complex. i have never seen a character more willing to die for others at the slightest provocation. also, the way all the alien's that read his subconscious say that he "tortures himself every day" over what he perceives to be personal failures screams catholic guilt to me. that, and his biggest fear is himself. not to mention, that boy does not know how to function when he's being hugged. casual intimacy does not seem to be in his lexicon, outside of actual sex.

also, he had feelings for holland, but was content to go the rest of his life never saying anything or doing anything about it. something to acknowledge about himself once, then bury and try to never think about again. but then holland died. so it didn't matter anymore, anyways. Believe it or not, he’s pretty capable of not acting like a creep toward women! He plays up the ‘I’m an inappropriate perv with naked ladies dancing around in my head 24/7’ thing when he’s around his brothers, and it’s true that every other thought of his is a naughty one, but… he comes on a lot less strongly once he relaxes. The truth is, despite having a filthy mind and liking to make dirty jokes, he’s pretty shy when it comes to girls, so he really prefers to approach as friends first. To jump right into something romantic or sexual makes him super nervous and insecure.

He’s very laidback after he gets past the initial awkwardness. There’s no pressure with him, surprisingly. Although he might get his hopes up to hang out, he doesn’t push if someone says no. He doesn’t nudge at them or try to convince them. It’s only when someone gets mean with saying no, like making fun of him for asking or something, that he gets upset. Even then, he’s more apt to flee instead of stand there arguing. He’s more considerate and self-conscious than he wants people to know.

Anything he invites them out to, it’s almost definitely something he’d invite a male friend to as well. A night of camping out at Chibita’s cart, eating as much oden as they can and drinking their weight in beer? Or maybe hanging out at the bar doing karaoke… and drinking their weight in beer? Spending an evening at the pachinko parlor, gambling away all their money? Going to see that new movie that’s supposed to be really cool? Hell, yeah! It’s pretty rare that he would invite a girl out to, say, dinner or something unless they’ve already been friends for a while. And if he does, he’ll make sure one of his brothers will come along with a date too.

All things being equal, he kind of treats his female friends just like any other friends. He might have some dirty thoughts or think they’re cute, but really that could go for any friend. He takes a lot of pains to ensure he doesn’t make his friends uncomfortable; sex jokes come with the territory of having Osomatsu for a friend, and yet, he’ll avoid touching people until he knows them better, and he’ll even try to stop making jokes if someone isn’t comfortable with them.

Overall he’s a decent guy, even if he doesn’t seem like it at first blush! He really does care about people, and when he tries to approach girls to be friends, he’s always thinking about how to make them feel at ease around him. Even if he’s not perfect, he’s incredibly genuine and thoughtful, especially around people he wants to be friends with.

General Questions

Do I celebrate Xmas? Yes, I do! I go to my mom’s place for Xmas, where we have dinner and then her boyfriend puts on his super old, super old and worn-out Santa clothes (which is very endearing, cause he is always having the time of his life). Then he hands us our presents which are gathered under the decorated Xmas tree and we have to cite a poem or sing to earn each present. Afterwards we all unpack together, excitedly thanking each other, have dessert and then watch a movie or a video of our past christmasses someone put together It’s all very wholesome. How about you?

Coffee, tea or something else? I like Moccachino, cause it’s an amazing hybrid of coffee and cocoa!! It’s best with coconut milk! That kind of coffee makes me feel all cozy and comfy, but I handle it like a treat. I only drink one, while a close friend of mine drinks several cups of milky coffee a day. I also love cocoa, but I drink it like others drink espresso. I tiny highly concentrated cup. No more. Like a shot of chocolate hahaha I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but sometimes I crave it. As for tea, I looove herbal tea! Peppermint and Fennel Caraway Anise are amazing. Also freshly brewed ginger tea. And green tea with jasmine/flower blossoms or white tea. Big love for these. All of which without sugar so the flavour comes out to speak of its very own beauty I also like mate tea to keep me awake! Otherwise I love water or - omg - freshly pressed apple juice! The! best! Which shows have I watched this year? Many. Lots of cooking shows (on Netflix), cause, you know, food. xD By now I probably know almost all of them. 20: Nicknames? Usually “Ami” for short, only used by ppl who know her well enough. I have quite a handful of them. They are mostly related to Jim Moriaty and I hc that he’s not dark and bloody as some people seem to think of him. Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

From Harry Potter, ugh… it pains me to choose only one but… Harry Potter himself (I see them as pairs so I’ll say Draco here as well bc I can’t see them apart, sue me) because he’s been through so much and he’s still kind and helping people. That’s a point of reference for me whenever I feel like I’m being an arse XDFrom Marvel, definitely Crossbones. He’s incredibly complex and the movies just shat on him. The comics show a very extensive history and that’s why I am so bitter about the way the Marvel Cinematic Universe had presented him on screen. This is also the reason why, on my muse characterization for Crossbones, he has a HUGE bio written there. Sherlock BBC fandom, definitely Jim Moriarty. By far the most interesting character I’ve seen. He’s a world of unpredictability and mystery and he’s also smol and likes cuddles ~ ‿ ~
