‪It all ended just as quickly as it began.

I guess it was just lust?

I, so beautiful in your eyes.

You desired for me to want you and I desired for someone to simply admire me.

I guess we got what we wanted…at first.

As your desired for me dimmed my interest changed.

Hence why I moved on to the next. ‬

Mornings

The sun light beaming between my blinds wake me up every morning. You’d think that I’d draw my curtains the night before, but for some reason I love those rays that escape and bless my face.

Those rays are a reminder that I have made it another day. I show gratitude. My lips curl and a smile appears. I could stay in bed all day. However, the sun will eventually set, the rays will disappear, and I will wait hoping to see another morning like the one before.

Sometimes there are things in life that aren’t meant to stay. Sometimes change may not be what we want. Sometimes change is what we need.

Out with the old, in with the new.

SOMEONE LIKE YOU

I built a fortress around what was left of me. Giving me time to rest from scars that will never truly heal. I am damaged and broken. I ache to be found by someone like you, but not just quite you.

My feet pressed against the pavement of life, bracing myself in hopes that being found will not leave me devastated once again. However, I won’t hold my breath since this is something I am all to familiar with.

Still damaged from the last war, I choose to fight against the inevitable. In hopes that this war will change in my favor. Sometime dreams do come come true, but I won’t hold my breath since this is something I am all to familiar with.

The routine will continue much like the last. I will hide in my fortress once again to rest. Now having more scares that will never truly heal. Aching once again to be found by someone like you, but not just quite you.
