Alright so things that make me happy

Off the top of my head I’ll say music. My happiness does sound like my favourite songs.

Happiness is when my playlist is on shuffle and I hear the first note of one of my absolute favourite songs coming on. A familiar warmth spreads over my body, my brain relaxes immediately and I drop anything that I am doing for the next few minutes just let the music sink into my body. That, is happiness.

Happiness is also season 5 of FRIENDS, the satisfaction of seeing Monica and Chandler finally get together is divine.

Happiness is the final proposal scene of Pride and Prejudice, “Dearest, loveliest Elizabeth.”

Happiness is being extremely excited about reading a book everyday, being so engrossed in a book that the words are no longer seem just words, and you forget you are reading.

Happiness is Hercule Poirot explaining how he found out who the culprit is.

Happiness is studying my favourite subject without any stress of exams.

Happiness is four course dinner prepared by my mom which five of us eat together.

Happiness is our cat when she comes and meows for milk in our backyard.

Happiness is sleeping cozy in my blanket in winter.

Happiness is sneaking into mom’s bed at night when I am too tired to clean and make my own, and she hugging me.

Happiness is having an obsession to think about all the time.

It’s a rainy day today, drizzling and cold and cloudy. But it’s warm and cozy inside my room and that is where I can be all day as I have a day off from work. I’m studying my favourite subject with my favourite songs on. I just ordered chinese from a restaurant and now I’m going to study intently till my order arrives. Then I’m gonna put on The Office and savour the noodles and fried rice. After the afternoon break I plan to be back to my studies, study with focus all evening till dinner time when every one will be back home and the five of us will have dinner together. Then I will work on my blog till midnight and then I’ll finally crawl into my bed and read Jane Austen’s ‘Persuasion’, wrapped in the blanket, until I feel sleepy enough to doze off. Awesome! 📚📖🌧️😴🍝🎧

Tomorrow though, I have 12 hours duty but I’m gonna be sufficiently refreshed till then.

I picked up The Great Gatsby only because Colin Firth once said in one of his interviews that he was also reading F.Scott now and I would do anything to have a vocab and elocution like Colin Firth, so anyway I am reading TGG now. It was so difficult to get past the first two pages though, I started and gave up on the book for like three times before I decided to just ignore those two pages and read ahead and OH MY GOD I am hooked !!!
