Steve’s working through a sun salutation on the back patio — the hair on his arms rising in the crisp morning air as he stretches overhead, one hand wrapped around his opposite wrist, feet planted shoulder-width apart, breathing into his side body while his bite scars tug against the stretch — when a warm arm snakes around him from behind and a ringed hand reaches down his pants.
“Oh, my god.” Steve loses the rhythm of his breath. “Can you not?”
“Aww, but baby,” Eddie pouts. “I miss him. Let me say hi!”
“You can say hi all you want when I finish my flow.” He rolls his shoulders to buck Eddie off his back, “Now get outta here; go do nerd shit at the table or something.”
“The nerve. I have been nothing but a horny little nuisance to you, and this is how you treat me?”
what would you recommend for muscle regeneration? or just something you'd rec for a rest day? ngl I do have some issues finding nice activities that aren't too heavy for when my body is tired (then I end up sore for days on end).
stay hydrated, and have a nice day!! 💖
hi! i totally understand that, i don’t like doing activities that require a lot of strength during my rest days either. for movement, i do stretching or yoga. i highly recommend restorative or yin yoga if you want something to deeply stretch but that doesn’t require much movement or strength. stretching, along with the muscle strengthening we get with our workouts, has helped me a TON with body soreness. here are a few of my favorites for rest days:
* yoga with kassandra has a lot of great yin yoga practices if you decide that’s something that you like!
aside from movement, i also recommend nourishing your body with nutritious foods to help restore your muscles (don’t restrict or skimp on the protein just because it’s a rest day) and staying hydrated! i’ve also heard that the best way to restore muscles on your workout days is to eat something lighter before your workout and eat something high-protein afterwards (which i have done and absolutely have seen a difference). i hope this helps!
I should add poledancing to the list of odd talents that Akira has but has no business having due to growing up in a small suburban town. I only had access to it bc i had a YMCA that had a MASSIVE gym (in a criminally underfunded part of the city); there were poles put up alongside some other structures to allow counselors to make up some shit for us to do lmao
Hes got a flair about him; speaking from experience, it is FUN to do gymnastic shit like that, and its really really REALLY good for ur core. Other things on the list are basic gymnastics (he hates that shit tho, the classes he took sucked ass), Parkour (loves this; less about running and more about utilizing ur core and bracing for falls), and Knife Flipping/Spinning. Theyre all odd things that coincidentally ended up being VERY good experience for the metaverse :) YEAH the metaverse makes it easier to pull off tricks, but he already knew how to do all those things; you cant get Ryuji or Yusuke to spin kick off a pole wo having them fall and bust their ass- Its ALL skill babey
