I should add poledancing to the list of odd talents that Akira has but has no business having due to growing up in a small suburban town. I only had access to it bc i had a YMCA that had a MASSIVE gym (in a criminally underfunded part of the city); there were poles put up alongside some other structures to allow counselors to make up some shit for us to do lmao
Hes got a flair about him; speaking from experience, it is FUN to do gymnastic shit like that, and its really really REALLY good for ur core. Other things on the list are basic gymnastics (he hates that shit tho, the classes he took sucked ass), Parkour (loves this; less about running and more about utilizing ur core and bracing for falls), and Knife Flipping/Spinning. Theyre all odd things that coincidentally ended up being VERY good experience for the metaverse :) YEAH the metaverse makes it easier to pull off tricks, but he already knew how to do all those things; you cant get Ryuji or Yusuke to spin kick off a pole wo having them fall and bust their ass- Its ALL skill babey

Scum Villain fic where Shen Yuan wakes up out of a coma and realizes that he just had a very, very vibrant dream about his boy and that web novel he hatereads.
When he gets back home after observation it's so... surreal. He feels so much older now. He's practically lived a lifetime in that dream, even if only a few months have passed.
His room is so... cringe is the word he wants to use, but he can't help but find his past self endearing about it all. Except that line of thought makes... no sense at all. His past self is just him from a couple months ago.
He decides to check up on the story he'd been dreaming about and finds out that, though there were a dozen more chapters, they had stopped updating completely without warning just a few weeks after his own coma.
(The comments after his coma, a few mention him, calling him out or cheering for him finally giving up on the story. Some people even speculate he might have died.)
His old comments were so embarrassing to read, but there's a part of him that... sees his love for Luo Binghe even in these.
Wait, why is he suddenly okay being gay for this protag??
He thinks he probably shouldn't be quite so chill about it.
He wonders what happened to Airplane. He stops himself from thinking too hard on the possibility it could all have been real. That was ridiculous!!
Meanwhile in the world of the system....
Luo Binghe is flipping OUT. His husband his shizun his beloved just up and went POOF. No trace of him, no clue left behind.
(Or is it worse if he dies? The original goods died that night he qi deviated and was replaced by Shen Yuan, so there's no soul there to replace him. Luo Binghe has had to deal with dead Shizun before but this time it's... different.)
Either way, after a whole lot of everyone flipping out, Shang Qinghua seems to know a little too much about... something.
The truth comes out. Luo Binghe admits he's suspected something like that for a while now, but thats not important. He needs his shizun back, so how..?
Cue dimension hopping shenanigans.

it is so extremely underutilized that Nico is heavily implied to have powers of just. anything ghosts are reportedly able to do.
we know canonically that he can drop temperatures to freezing/to the point where it creates frost, and does so involuntarily or unknowingly at times. We know he can project emotions and memories out onto others, just in general and with physical force - both his own memories/emotions and general emotions as well, such as radiating an aura onto his enemies so that they would fear him more. We know it's heavily implied he can straight up create illusions and inflict madness upon others. We know he's eerily silent when he moves and seems to just appear in places. We know he can control/walk through/mess with dreams. We know he can become intangible and pass through solid objects and terrain without even realizing it.
like, that alone is so much! but the fact that it's implied that's not it? there's MORE?
Where's Nico fucking with EVPs and speaking through radios or static or TV. Throwing his voice. Nico remotely setting things on and off, or draining batteries, or making cell service fuzz out. Nico totally turning invisible (also a Hades' Helm of Darkness thing, so double reason for Nico to be able to do that). Where's Nico inflicting sleep paralysis. Where's Nico straight up making the walls bleed. Let him do more ghost stuff!

okay i'm gonna say something and you all have to give me a chance. ready?
we need to stop making fun of poor american southerners who distrust the government. it's real easy to call them all conspiracy theorists and dismiss them, but half the time, its built off of a genuine feeling of being abandoned by the infrastructure meant to keep them safe.
in appalachia, a lot of people lost their homes because of coal mining operations. a lot of people worked in those mines, and then when the mines stopped being profitable, they got tossed out with the bathwater. a lot of appalachia is poor, malnourished, and i don't blame them for not trusting rich politicians who dismiss them as stupid and lower class.
if yall actually listened to half the things poor southerners say, you'd realize that a Lot of common leftist complaints are virtually identical to the rural grandma who doesn't hold with electronic money and politicians. it stems from a genuine feeling of abandonment and ostracization by the people who run the country. functionally, someone living paycheck to paycheck in the city in a tiny apartment has infinitely more in common with someone from rural appalachia than a politician. high rent, high taxes, food insecurity, feeling lied to by those in power, a general sense of frustration. it just sounds fancier coming from a city mouth than one with shitty teeth and a southern accent.
tl;dr stop dismissing southern people as stupid. they're absolutely right not to wholeheartedly trust politicians, because they've been fucked over by them time and time again, and honestly, id rather talk to a southern person who openly distrusts their representatives than someone from the city who wholeheartedly believes that Frederick Jamestown OldMoney III genuinely cares what people think and can be convinced to change his ways.

Horse Fish Tail
Needs Horse Ranch, of course. I took one of the mermaid tails from Island Living and slapped it on a horse butt. More specifically, I gave it the weight paint of a horse tail of course, but the textures, even the specular, are all from the original, made to look as exact as possible. No extra swatches. I made 3 versions, one is 1:1 the exact same as the original mesh, the second one, seen in the ingame screenshots above, is made longer, and the third one I manipulated the mesh a little bit to have some more depth to the tailfin. The animation isn't perfect, the mesh deforms a bit sometimes, but it looks fine. None of the other CC on the horse is mine. I can't tell you what it is either as I have basically every bit of horse CC I have seen. :)
I attempted making body fins to go with this, but they kept breaking ingame so not now. Maybe some day I'll try them again.

Hey do you think Jamil has trouble seeing people his age as peers?
Like, growing up having to be a caretaker to a guy literally a few months older than him, always expected to act like the adult in the situation, expected to work with adults and adopt their perspectives and pick up their slack. Do you think he just, forgets sometimes?
I mean we've seen him go into caretaker mode with other sophomores, and the only people I've seen him take seriously are juniors like Vil who also act much older than they should have to (his reactions to Leona look more like a trauma response and I don't wanna get into it here). People like Malleus and Cater still somewhat get the caretaker treatment. Like I just highly doubt that he subconsciously realizes he's actually part of his age group
Aaand that inevitably brings up Azul, who also acts like he thinks he's older than he is. Whether you're looking at it from a shipping angle or not, he reacts to Azul like an actual peer. With older students, he seems more in his element but there's still a status hierarchy which he compulsively reacts to. With Azul he doesn't acknowledge any status worth respecting or see him as someone who needs to be looked after. He just bickers like an equal, in a way that implies he actually does see Azul as a real peer, like subconsciously he's categorized this guy into the same group as himself, who was previously alone on that level (he gets like this more with the twins too, over time, but it seems to start with Azul).
And my favorite part about this is, while that response stems from them both acting more like adults in general, they elicit a pettiness from each other which drags them both down to actually acting their own age, and I just love that. Their characters are perfect foils for each other and it seems to make them both less isolated in a way.

Acting normally towards Kaveh, there was no reason for him to change his behavior. It is pretty obvious by now some things did change, yet at the same time gaining a title is not really a big difference from the previous domestic interactions they had. What did change was him in the morning kissing the top of the blonde’s head before leaving the house. ‘I’ll be back late today’. That’s all he said, starting his way to the Akademiya. He is not going to be far away from home, and in any case Mehrak will always be connected to his earpieces. Still he doesn’t ask for explanations or a detailed list of the activities Kaveh’s going to do through the day. Probably at the Tavern, or drinking with someone. Squints. That’s dangerous, actually. But he is far from over thinking, that’s Kaveh’s job after all.
Routine hasn’t changed that much since that particular day. Work, tavern, home. An usual pattern he accustomed himself to follow strictly during the week-- work days, actually. He couldn’t say his job was tedious, but lately all the applications were so badly written he was starting to get bored, rejecting each one of them after reading only one sentence. That was enough to tell if the person is a good applicant or not, call it experience, or call it laziness. Whichever it was, Alhaitham knows exactly how to handle this burst of horrible apps that appear at certain time of the year. Working late is not usual either. As soon as the clock marks the end of his shift, he completely forgets about anything that is related to work. Unless, something urgent comes to disrupt his perfect and meticulous regime.
The urgent matter: Lord Kusanali asking for tea.
Groans. He is not the social type. He is not one for divinities, and in fact, he sees her as just another person. Doesn’t care about her ‘archon’ status, and he is curious about her taking such liking to him after the incident. He sort of saved her, though? So he can understand why she likes him, but the company was not bad at all. It felt like spending the time with your favorite aunt, yes, the closest description he could get for her. She looked like a kid, but perfectly could be his grandma. Ah. Perhaps that’s the reason he is unable to refuse the invitation, another relationship that could cover for the empty space in his heart.
As always, the gathering goes well. He talked a bit with Nahida, about the applicants, about Kaveh, about subjects that might be considered boring for others. However, all the time he is there, he is thinking about returning home. And the time finally comes, yet again, thankfully he is not far away from home. The sound of the keys clacking in his pocket, this time leaving a copy for Kaveh as he did not feel like taking them, just for today. The door opens, taking a look inside of the room, looking for the blonde’s figure with his eyes. Though, his gaze focuses on the living room. At first glance, everything seems normal, perfect even, casual. Two sets of instruments, two set of plates and two-- no. There are three glasses over the table. This cannot be fully considered suspicious, but they are used to leave two of each item scattered all over the house. It’s only two of them, so seeing an extra glass on the table only means someone was home. Or is.
Alhaitham frowns lightly, staring carefully at the empty room and trying to see if there’s glances of other people. Taking a quick guess, perhaps the traveler and Paimon are around, but he would know for sure if that little noisy floaty being is around. His tongue clacks against the roof of his mouth. He is not going to dwell on it. Instead, he walks towards the sofa, cape being thrown at the other sofa, shoes messily left next to the furniture. His belt pouch, always full of things. The music device left at the side of his body, taking a book out of it as he comfortably lays down on the sofa. The belt is discarded somewhere on the floor, and then he simply takes off his shirt, tossing it aside. Messy as always. But oh, the comfort of being at home! He knows Kaveh will appear to scold him for leaving everything on the floor. Normal routine. Light perfectly set to a reading mood, eyes focused on the pages of the book he is reading. Today’s subject is philosophy, another book he will probably finish by the end of the week. Who cares, though? He is just waiting for Kaveh to appear and yell at him. Or kiss him as a greeting, whatever comes first.
