what do you like about rotmhs? like what draws you in?

GAHH IM SO GLAD YOU ASKEDDD at the top of my head thhe top three things i felt really drew me into and made me fall in love w rotmhs is the found family/bonds before blood narrative, the action/fight scenes, and the comedy..

rotmhs is not a romance and i feel like that really pushes people away from reading it, especially folks who were first introduced to east asian novels through bl (specifically mxtxs novels like mdzs tgcf etc etc) which i feel is incredibly disappointing because yallre missing out on a certain depth of writing and nuance you otherwise wouldnt get in a romance focused novel. (orv is another extremely popular knovel with no romance.. if you like orv PLEASE give rotmhs a shot)

rotmhs is about a dead man resurrected a hundred years into the future having to come to terms w the fact that everyone he loved is dead and that the only home he ever had was destroyed, its inhabitants and centuries worth of teachings burned to the ground, and that it was partially his fault these things happened, so in order to prevent a future catastrophe he knows is on the horizon, he trains the youth of this new generation and finds a new home surrounded by ghosts in the wreckage of his home of his past

⬆️…very dramatic but somewhat accurate barebones synopsis of rotmhs which is fairly faithful enough methinks.. rotmhs doesnt make a point of going ‘heyy these guys are family nowww theyre brothers and sisters and love each other like familyyy’ LOL the growth is very subtle and before u can really blink ur like ‘oh man.. chung myung would kill for these kids. obliviously though. i dont think he knows he even likes them’ all the while hes still aching w the loss of his loved ones before.. if we’re being really really honest chung myung, the mc, truly is the star of the show and a character i got attached to incredibly quickly.. hes so stupid but so smart he has so many issues i want to hit him with my car then nurse him back to health just to hit him again

chung myung himself is a whole other thing i could get into but he has so many layers.. so much depth.. on the surface ud look at him and think what a punk but look a little closer and then ud think oh this punk has depression ptsd survivors guilt hallucinations etc etc LIKE DAMN.. I THIUGHT HE WAS JUST A FUNNY LITTLE GUY WHYD I GET SUCKER PUNCHED

what was i even talking about. OH right romance. please please dont let the lack of romance dissuade you, imo it is soooo refreshing to read something that isnt focused on romance like i love yaoi like the next bl reading bitch but damn.. ive always been into found family and while the bl novels i have read did always have a little hint of it, i always wanted more and rotmhs fills that void

(that being said i cant stop yall from shipping if yall want LOL im guilty of shipping charas too despite everythiing i just said… if yall want yalls yaoiyuri fix may i direct yalls attention to the ‘doomed by the narrative, tragic best-friends-to-almost-lovers tangchung’ & ‘love at first sight sweethearts iseolsoso’ ….. :SMILES: I LOVE TANGCHUNG..!!!!!!)

NEXT, the action and fight scenes in rotmhs, even in written text form, are sublime to say the least.. my fail cis dudebro trait is that i love crazy insane adrenaline rushing heart pumping shounen-esque battles so much that i could typically care less for the rest of that specific piece of media as long as the fights are good.. FORTUNATELY FOR ME rotmhs is crazy good at balancing its comedy, action, and otherwise more ‘mundane’ scenes together so harmoniously that its such fun read even when theres no swords crossing or heads being beaten in

also important to note, despite being a knovel w korean naming of characters/places, rotmhs actually takes place in ancient china in a wuxia setting so jumping head first into it wont be all that confusing for first time readers/cmedia fans and u can use ur knowledge of cnovels to fill in the gaps.

theres not really much more i have to say on the topic of fighting, im just personally a huge fan of the crazy spectacles rotmhs brings to the table.

saved this for last but THE COMEDY…!!!!!!!! after being soo dramatic w all my previous points and comments ur probably thnkng rotmhs is heavy and somber w no breathing room.. WELL YOURE WRONG. ROTMHS IS FUNNY AS HELL quips and jokes and simple funny actions and scenes litter nearly every page. i mentioned this novel balances its action and comedy well and im NOT LYING youd think maybe the heavy action and light comedy would awkwardly clash but u cldnt be more further from the truth.. rotmhs wears action and comedy like a pair of twin gloves

rotmhs handles its action and comedy in equal doses and it all fits together like matching puzzle pieces, like i really cant stress enough how fun it is to read. not every fight scene is somber, most of the time its chung myung oneshotting someone by hitting them across the head so hard they pass out..

unfortunately im not really the best at listing instances so its be better for u to go read it for urself but this scene from one of the later chapters is soo funny every time i read it i start giggling

spanish is my first langaige! and i was born in mexico too. first when you meet me i am very respectful and i try to show personal interest but once i really do start feeling comfortable around someone i start to make jokes and treat them like family. i say i have a pretty loud personaloty and im very mich an extrovert. i have a LOUD ASS laugh and im the type of person who giggles for everything. i like when people trust me and tell me whats wrong but i never force them to tell me. i am sensetive and emotional but i have pretty tough skin so i can hide it well. but i cry very often alone. i get attacted easly so when someone leaves me all the sudden and has no reasoning and i kinda just like "whyd u leave😕?" and also like if my friend gave me a pillow or a piece of jewlery, i always eother have it on me or i keep it all in a safe box and i try to keep it forever. i struggle with mental health a lot but i know how to keep myself together so other people dont see me struggle. and im not the type to tell people i am struggling so it takes a while for someone to notice. my love langauge is touch and words of affirmation. i babysit so o have no problem with taking care of either older people or toddlers. i am a day dreamer and i often stare into space (also if u couldnt tell i talk way too much for my own good lol)

but when you finally had kids, william had a different outlook on life

You shoved open the doors of the AOMG building, surprised at the lack of security or secret codes to enter. You’d expect it to be a lot harder to get into, but you weren’t complaining as it made this situation less stressful than it already was.

“How may I help you?” The woman up front greets you. She is absolutely gorgeous and has a bright, welcoming smile.

“I need to get to Woo Wonjae’s studio please,” you say, trying to hold back you tears.

I don’t even know what i’m going to say to him.

You almost want to leave, but you’ve came this far. “Oh are you here about the outfit fitting?” she questions after looking at the clipboard in front of her.

“Yes ma’am,” You lie right through your teeth, hoping she doesn’t realize you are far from being fashionable right now.

“Ok, his studio is on the third floor on the right. You’ll see his name on the door.” She gives another kind smile and you make a beeline for the elevator, quickly pressing the button to get to the third floor.

Once the door opens you step out and you hurry in your direction. You take a right out of the elevator and begin walking down the hall, looking for his name on the door. As you walk, you pass famous rappers under the label, their eyes watching you as you rush down the hall.

“Who is that?” You hear someone say, but you finally see Wonjae’s name on one of the doors. You knock aggressively, shoving open the door before anyone can get to it.

He stands right in front of you, arm extended like he was about to open the door. His eyes widen once he sees you, his mouth opening to say something, but closing once he sees your tear filled eyes.

You slam the door behind you, frowning at him. “What the fuck Woo Wonjae?!” You exclaim, throwing your arms up in exasperation. “Why’d you go ghost? Whyd you break your promise?” You shove the gift bag in his hand. “I’ve been waiting for two weeks to give you this dumb gift and you just had me waiting for you, wondering why you stopped coming!”

You quickly wipe the tears that fall down your cheeks. “You promised i’d get to listen before you released it.” You sigh, watching as his features soften and his mouth forms into a frown.

“I, I just,” He stutters, eyes searching anywhere but you for an answer. “I was just busy,” He scratches the back of his neck.

“Bullshit!” You scoff. “I haven’t known you long but I know you well enough to know that was a god damn lie.” You shake your head, feeling more tears stain your cheeks.

“Tell me the truth,” You snap, feeling your heart beat against your rip cage. Wonjae is silent the moment, as if he’s mustering up the courage to speak. You look at him with a frown etched on your face.

“I-I saw you with Ash,” He mumbles, your eyebrows furrowing in confusion. “And I thought you guys were dating.”

Your jaw almost drops to the floor, your blood boiling from anger. “So that’s why you stopped showing up and broke your promise? Because you thought I had a boyfriend?!” You feel like screaming, how could someone so cute be so stupid?

“Well I was jealous,” He begins, looking at the ceiling to avoid eye contact. You watch him gulp and take a deep breath before he speaks again. “And I didn’t want to fall harder for someone who probably had a boyfriend. So I just, you know, stopped coming.”

You stare at him for a moment, blinking your tears away before putting together what he said. You groan in frustration and slap his shoulder to gain his attention. “Why didnt you just ask Wonjae?!” You roll your eyes at him, watching his mouth fall into a frown once more.

“I’m just not good-“ He stops himself from speaking, setting the gift bag in the ground before wrapping his arms around your shoulders and pulling you close to him. “I’m sorry.” He mumbles into your hair. “Please forgive me, I’m not good with words”

You wrap your arms around his torso, inhaling his warm scent. “Your album says otherwise.” You retort, your lips tugging upwards slightly.

Wonjae holds you in his arms for a seconds before speaking. “You listened?” he asks, smiling when you nod in response. “Did you like it?”

“I loved it.”

He’s silent again before he pulls away and looks at you. You can almost see him trying to say something, battling with himself to find the right words to say. Finally he take a deep breath and rests his hands on your shoulders.

“You’re what inspired me to finish the album, youre my muse.”

You feel as if someone knocked the breath out of you after he speaks, your eyes filling up with tears once more. Wonjae’s expression becomes panicked as his eyes meet yours. “Are you okay, why are you crying?!” He pulls you to sit down on the couch against the wall, placing himself next to you.

“I’m okay,” your voice breaks, giggling softly when Wonjae uses his sleeve to wipe your tears.

“I’m sorry y/n, realizing I was starting to get feelings for you scared me and I didn’t know what to do,” Wonjae blurts out, sighing once more. “It hurt me more to not show up than it did to think about you having a boyfriend.”

You laugh at him, shaking your head. “It’s ok, I just missed you.”

“I-I m-m-missed you t-too.” He stutters, visibly shocked at your words.

“Are you gonna come see me tomorrow?” You ask, finally looking at him.

“I’ll come see you every day for the rest of the year, as long as you come see me too.” He says, seeming more confident in his words, yet still shy.

Once you both calmed down and caught up, you let Wonjae open his gift, not being able to contain your excitement. He pulls out the green crew neck sweater, eyes meeting yours.

“Is that a hairless cat?” He flips the sweater around to show you, pointing to the embroidery on the center of the sweater.

You grin and nod. “And it’s green, like Dave’s. I got myself one too but I had to get you one because he likes you more than me for some reason.” You roll your eyes, faking a frown.

“Let’s go see him then,” He slips the sweater over his head. It fits big, despite him already wearing another sweater underneath.

“So you must be y/n,” You turn around to the sound of your name and your eyes meet with none other than Jay Park.

“holy fuck?” He laughs at your response, a tall man following him inside the studio. You recognize him as Code Kunst.

“I was wondering when we were finally gonna meet you,” the taller one says, shaking his head at his friend who sits next to you. “Cute sweater.”

“she doesn’t need to know you guys, cmon y/n let’s go.” Wonjae seems embarrassed at their entrance, face redder than a tomato.

“No I think i do,” You tease, swatting away his hand that grabs at you. “How often does he talk about me?” You ask, giggling once you hear Wonjae gasp.

“No I really think we should go. Don’t you have a cafe to run?” Wonjae seems frantic, laughing nervously. “She’s really busy, she’s a business owner, you know how that is hyung? Shouldn’t you be at Higher Music right now being their boss?”

Jay and Sungwoo laugh at their friend. “Actually a cup of coffee sounds nice. Didnt you say she made the best macchiatos?” You find yourself blushing at this point.

“Well why don’t we all join you for a cup of coffee? I am a busy man who works late.” Jay chuckles, patting Wonjae on his shoulder.

“I hate all of you.”

for a guy who gets up early every morning coffee is a must. canned coffee is his drink of choice for getting up and it’s one of his morning routines before starting work. he actually dislikes cafes because they have an atmosphere he isn’t too fond of and likes bars (enjoys shit beers = enjoys shit coffee) more- but he could go to a cafe when asked by his friends or if he’s going on a date, just don’t ask him about what type of coffee he’d like specifically because all he wants is it to be hot and black, no milk no sugar. when he was younger he actually disliked coffee, but with age he learned to 1. not be fussy about it 2. just tolerate it to pick him up. it’s not like he dislikes the tastes of it but i don’t see him as picking up oh many tannin inteiciasies cause he’s not developed a pallete, also gets the cheapest no fuss shit. prefers hot over cold even in the summer

for food, he doesn’t enjoy completely western menus. likes meat and doesn’t order any sweets like pastries and whatever the fuck, not only is it too expensive but also he’d just rather have the coffee unless he’s particularly hungry. like i said he isnt a cafe guy but life takes you to a lot of places so ☕️

actually can taste tanins like some sort of a legend. still though on a teachers salary you’re not going to have an espresso machine at home so he settles for his drip brew. actually doesn’t like espresso too much either if hes working at least. but since he is a teacher and a club supervisor he drinks 2 (two) of those shits a day, one in the morning from home one in the afternoon from the teachers lounge- needs it to deal with the energy at practice. takes just milk in his coffee and prefers it steamed, but has that shitty milk foamer thing that takes so much time to get results out of he just ends up drinking drip w cold milk; the workingmans choice.

with cafes and food he still enjoys drip brew (this time fancier) coffee with milk. could ask to taste test the plain bean coffee if he enjoyed his first cup so much. LOVES a pastry with his drink, if he goes there to do work will get a coffee and a pastry of any kind, i think he likes cream so expect him to get a cream puff esp if on a date cause then he gets to share it and be cute 🥴 loves a cafe hangout with friends or an s/o

pre time skip she did not need coffee at all. like her face at first says either only black coffee or shes so well adjusted she needs nothing and i’d say it’s the latter though i could debate. though she was an enjoyer of canned coffee milk later in life before having to consume coffee for life energy in her adulthood. nothing too fancy either though, small coffee machine that only she uses (tanakas a pussy!) for making coffee, pours milk and adds a teaspoon of sugar into it- doesn’t really like flavors cause to her they taste artificial. busy lady! so she can pick up some starbucks or sit down for a brief second and get coffee wherever she is, thinks it energizes her and also is an enjoyer of the novelty of steamed milk. it actually doesn’t buzz her ever even when she first starts drinking it so rather than having to drink more coffee as the tolerance builds up she just has a plateau of coffee give me caffeine boost

for cafes she just gets whatever looks good to her. also not the biggest fan of sweets rather than a good bread, enjoyer of plain croissants and good bread if she gets a sandwitch. who doesn’t love carbs

the sweet sugary drink enjoyer has arrived. didn’t even touch coffee until her 3rd year at college, tried a sip of black coffee from her friend in junior high and became instantly afraid of it- managed to skirt by college with a good schedule until the junior terror seeped into her veins and now her early classes she has to drink coffee for. but like she still gets good grades so it’s only the morning she’s required to partake in bean water for- doesn’t even do anything on weekends if she doesn’t have anywhere to be. at home she has 2 syrups 5 milks and overloads her drink so much she’s barely drinking any coffee at all, still the sugar and the hot stuff in the morning has an effect (placebo lol)

loves a starbucks for its accessibility, but gets refreshers and iced drinks more often than any of their caffeine. not only does she think it’s not worth it if she can make coffee at home, but she has a tiny cafe she goes to to cram that serves a mean lavender rose vanilla latte (fucking ew?) that shes in love with. but it costs a lot and she’s a rare visitor, gets sweets and small sandwitches if she goes. w friends she doesn’t know that well she’ll get a flavored coffee to seem mature&cute, but with old friends she’d rather drink a milk tea or a seasonal drink rather than bother w a latte (since she uses it to get energy if it’s 5pm and her day is nearly done whyd she need it then?) no 7-11 coffee or vending machine coffee (junior high trauma) rather sweets and candy if she’s buying from one

courtesy to @sugardaddykenma, i think daichi oinking his way to the top ended after he had a midlife crisis- so he stops drinking coffee the way he would at the pig pen. sorry ok enough puns but yeah i think he was drinking way too much coffee in both college and at his “job” so coffee now messes with his stomach so much he thinks he might have a heart attack if he drinks more than one cup a week. i don’t know if that directly makes sense but too much coffee can literally kill you and since now he doesn’t fear the revolution here’s another thing for his mind. no coffee, maybe like once if hes at a cafe with his friends but really really prefers plain tea more- especially as he gets older. likes green white and black teas rather than herbal cause caffeine, and doesn’t put sugar in either cause hes #real and genuinely enjoys the flavors more that way

doesn’t go to cafes except for reunions or hanging out with the boys, always more of a “what do they have to eat” rather a “what’s new and exiting to drink” boy. i actually think the only reason he does drink coffee occasionally is because sugawara teases him and also sometimes it’s easier to order something to not be embarassing and to live up to the expectation of a dilf on the prowl rather than well like. dilf drinking tiny mug of jasmine tea. surprisingly an atmosphere enjoyer, people talking all around him is comforting- though if he were to go there frequently he’d grown annoyed

king of looking fuckable at a cafe. literally can’t drink coffee black and hates it but still uses it for that energy boost in the morning. has a cheap espresso machine (like 2nd hand and super busted) with a milk frother cause he can’t even drink coffee with just milk it’s so repulsuve to him, he’s gotta fancy it up with syrups & steamed liquids to get anything out of it. but like i said hes king of looking fuckable at a cafe and that’s cause he goes to them all the fucking time. to study to hang for dates like part of it is the ambience is unparalleled but also i mean 1. he likes looking hot 2. he can study 3. man idk hes just a little bitch that wants to look smarter than he actually is. literally in love with the concept of a meet cute so hes in there like “wow... i look so pretty and i’m reading such a big book won’t someone come talk to me”enjoys smiling at other hot patrons and the nines. i think he’d start banter only if you spilled a drink though or something happened hes not that confident to go up to someone full force, and well while he is there sometimes for the hell of it he does actually study there too cause it forces him to do something rather than fuck around on the computer at home. win win system

frequent cafe flyer and frequent cafe snack enjoyer. he’d much rather go for the small snacks like chips and nuts rather than big meal shit cause since his stuff is there he doesn’t wanna get anything on it, and would rather lounge back at home while eating anyways. frequent buys you a sweet on a date type of move, asks if you wanna give him a small bite but doesn’t actually enjoy most sweets that much. ICE LATTE ENJOYER but only when hes on the go or it’s summer, they make a mess when condensation happens.

hate to tell you folks, but you won’t find this guy in any cafes ever. if he needs to study in a public place he’d rather go to a library and if he can’t go there he’s just seriously gonna sit on the street if it’s the worst of it. can not only not handle cafes if it’s at full capacity, sugawara once shared his cafe strategies with him and now he overthinks whenever he steps foot into one. if he does enter a cafe it’s for a to go order of a cafe au lait (with soy milk, he got in the habit from ordering the wrong thing and never asking them to fix it) because espresso beverages give him anxiety, and add anxiety with a lot of people there it’s just no good and he becomes nervous. he does relax when his friends are there though, and a la p5 enjoys a quiet cafe at night the best. he like herbal teas without sugar (maybe some honey) and aromatic tea blends, but not refresher like beverages at starbucks

since he doesn’t sit down and eat at cafes hes not getting anything substantial, but has a pertulance for sweet stuff! nothing too big but if he gets something sweet with his coffee (and he does get coffee out a lot actually i feel i should clarify. it’s the devil wears prada influence and if you’re a fashion designer chance is you need to go somewhere fast so he needs the energy to power walk and actually ends up picking up coffee for his crew sometimes)

oh christ dude if he got coffee while in high school he’d go fucking insane. way too much current energy + caffeine is such a bad combination- but i think he’d never step into a cafe until his world traveling days. in which case i mean like first of all if you are traveling you’re going to have to keep a tight schedule unless you’re like rich as fuck and can afford to leisure around, and i think he does have some savings but at the same time if he’s himself he’s very likely running around- in summary, cafe visits very dépendant on the culture. cafe dates and cafe stops to get a pick up i think would be the most common stuff here, and coffee would be only used as a wake up i need more energy tool

with food i mean going to a great underground cafe is a right of passage if you’re traveling so i’m sure hes tried all sorts of shit and also hes a big eater, so i can see him getting whatever looks the craziest. big coffee ice cream enjoyer but like i said that’s just to wake up & i think there’s better places to get better juice (& international soda) than a hole in the wall coffee place. did someone say italian sodas or do i have to get my hearing checked

physical therapy is a lot of work! sorry for the lack of substance for this guy but like a normal adult i think he is normal with his coffee consumption. aka- drinks it to get up, and when hes tired. i think he has a particular interest in trying new things though and will get whatever is interesting to him or something that is weird on the menu like a pumpkin chocolate latte or some shit like that that is unusual but still tasty. adventurous and also you can’t tell at all that hes had coffee, acts completely the same and people even tell him he should drink some coffee cause of the low energy. hes had two cups already and that’s enough!

i think this guy just doesn’t like coffee for whatever reason. he seems like the type of dude to just not drink it and instead go for something energizing in the form of tea or an energy drink but not bean juice, just a vibe! enjoys a cafe every once in a while but goes rarely, i mean hes just chilling! there is a place that hes gone to that he is now an irregular regular of that has a tea infusion of different berries and ingredients that’s meant to clear up your sinuses and calm you. they don’t sell it in packets and hes disappointed about that but the very reason it exists at all is because it’s made out of fresh chopped shit and spices, also it’s a gimmick. they serve them in tea pitchers and he stays there and reads until he finishes. it’s the little things!

okay for food it’s anything goes but i think thr funnier thing to talk about would be the amount of time it takes him to read a menu. literally can’t decide on anything especially if a place is out of stock well hes gonna be out of comission for a few minutes as he reconsiders. asks what this has and what’s in this if it’s not listed so it’s really best to just pick smth for him, plain simple and he won’t have any complaints and just sit down w you.

actually got fond of espresso in brazil but still prefers juices and shit to actual caffeinated beverages. they don’t make them like they used to there 😔 but he does get lattes. LOVES coconut milk and nut milks cause they have an “oomph” (what?) but honestly anything goes kind of guy in where he can get coffee out of a machine at a convenience store starbucks a cafe anything anywhere no problem. thing is though he can only consume it in a short amount of time aka just the morning or else he’s unable to sleep at night, a thing that is most definitely a placebo but like he believes on it so insistently that he just doesn’t mess with it. is a fan of anything new and anything that catches his interest in coffee places, likes to pick stuff up rather than sit down cause he’s a fan of walking and talking and drinking

actually enjoys tanins but chugs cheap shitty coffee for energy no matter the time of day. he just got used to the lack of taste and definitely grabbed a caffeine addiction to add to his problems to worry about but it’s okay cause hey while he’d never say it he thinks it’s better to be able to taste them and enjoy a normal cup of good beans than to be like his unnamed friend. enjoyer of the whole menu, entirely dependent on the mood. focusing, straight espresso shots, reading, matcha or peppermint tea, vibing, lemonade or lemonade mixture idk you name it. very into cafe energy and feels good whenever he enters one, but doesn’t do it out of neccesity cause once he did actually have someone slightly hit on him at a cafe and he stopped going to it because he interacted with them very awkwardly. is sure the baristas heard and just can’t do it anymore. has pulled all nighters and 24-hr study sessions in internet cafes chugging coffees like a motherfucker. hasn’t yet poured a redbull into coffee yet but i mean it could be coming we never know (nah hes afraid of it)

not a fan of ordering stuff in cafes at all cause hes not there to eat. can be persuaded for a bite if friends are there but if not then hes avoidant of foods. you can’t blame him! it’s kind of awkward to order food at a coffee place anyways so he just steers clear

goes to narration “i’m minato katsumi and if u wanna know what happened we have to start with yesterday, its been one year since kaiju stopped appearing in ayaka city”

more introduction stuff, isamis still doing nerd shit that katsumi doest understand, dads same as always, asahis studying to become a nurse and mom’s taken over aizen tech i think. over the past year everyone’s taken big steps forwards. but then katsunii thinks about himself and kinda goes “.....”

girl from farewell icraus episode shows up again. shes here to talk to isami, apparently hes been invited to a study abroad program. katsu didnt know about this but like everybody else did

TITLE SCREEEN

isamis worried about leaving katsumi to protect ayaka all by himself but katsu encourages him to go pursue his dream, and isami is finally convinced that its really ok. before he goes off, he tells katsu that its ok for katsu to follow his own dreams now too and katsus like “....my dream?”

back at home hes like. what the hecks my dream. i guess i could become a businessman? fishmonger? pet groomer?? while hes doing this he doodles this like weird cat... fish thing and dad sees it and is like  OHO and katsu is like JFHDSKG DAD NO GIVE IT BACK

they accidentally knock down some of katsus high school baseball memoribilia and he sees a baseball with the word dream written on it

flashback time with toi. he says that he heard that katsus decided not to go to college even tho he got a lot of schools scouting him, and katsus like, yeah, i cant leave dad to manage the store all by himself. toi’s planning to become a game developer because he wants to make kids smile and stuff like that. he gives katsu the ball with dream written on it and waves bye. flashback over

the next day katsu decides to visit toi and finds out that toi quit the game company because they just made him do menial jobs which isnt what he wanted, he wanted to do something that only he could do. katsus like.... youve changed a lot. and toi says that honestly katsus lucky, he inherited his dads shop and is handsome to boot, anything he wanted he could get (i swear im not making this up) and katsu brings up that well, he doesnt have a dream tho

tois mom comes up, small talk nothing too important. after she leaves katsu shows toi the ball and tois like LOL that shitty thing? put it away, its embarrassing and katsus no!! you were aglow with enthusiasm whyd you let go of ur dream. toi interrupts by pointing out that katsu let go of his dream too, and he then leaves

call from dad its an EMERGENCY aparently

back to toi. hand comes out of his moniter and voice goes “i know what you want to say you want to fight(i think?)” basically hes here to fulfill toi’s dreams

alright back to the minatos. its basically a comedy moment theyre doing like secret agent roleplay or smth but, as kasumi points out, for some reason theyre all Eagle 1 and only about 3 ft apart in broad daylight. they see asahi in the distance talking to somebody and theyre like !!!!!, the mystery dude leans in and theyre at an angle where it looks like hes going for a kiss and they all screech “AAAAAA SECOND BASE?!?! NO??” sprint over there like WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS TOWARDS ASAHI. asahis like o hey guys whats up. and dads “listen. we love and respect you but also youre our baby and u cant do this yet.”

mystery person is riku. he just met asahi here, and hes looking for a shadow. (dad: UHUH I BET YOU ARE, SONNY)

monsters appear. the bros are like alrighty its been a while, lets go, dad take care of asahi. really funny scene where the bros and riku like. immediately out themselves as ultraman but like. fail to notice.

after transofrming they notice geed and are like ???WHO?? (isami: oh jeez he looks scary- katsu: don’t point! its rude! riku: ah, no, dont mind me)

My experience at my first got7 concert;

Part 2: how did I GET THIS OPPURTUNITY???!?

Ok so omg before the disaster all commenced in the first part (if you read it) this miraculous gift bestowed upon me and it was so amazing.

So I met a few other people in the P1 line and they were cool and chill and we ended up hanging out the whole 10 hours we were in line. At some points we'd just walk around to stretch out our legs and whatnot. But then through the walls you could slightly here got7 soundchecking.

SO out of curiosity we approached the doors that youd enter into the actual venue to get a closer listen to what the actual song was (it was hard carry remix) and we freaked out whatever. But we just back up a little from the doors and just chilled around there just kind of on our phones/chitchatting whatever for like 20 minutes or so. Also lemme just say There wasnt a lot of people around this area. Then we see this dude approaching the doors we were listening to got7 from and then open the door then like pointed at my group and wiggled his finger in a "come here" motion. We were like so confused but we approached him anyway. Then he just like LET US INTO THE VENUE???

We were beyond confused. Like who is this guy. Whyd he let us in? Is he gonna kidnap us? WhAT???

And then hes like "I work for the venue, Im going to let you into their sound check. No screaming. No clapping. And no taking photos/videos"

My group starts FLIPPING OUT LIKE WHY US THIS IS AMAZING WTFFFFFGGFF

but we quickly calmed down and we went into the arena. It was dark and we had to hide behind these stairs and peak above them to watch them because this dude technically sneaked us in.

Then all of the sudden i hear this voice SINGING. It wasnt angel-voice youngjae, it wasnt leader im jaebum. IT WAS FUCKING MARK JUST SINGING. IT WAS SO SWEET AND SOFT AND CUTE OMG. Then i just here soft talking in korean and it was youngjae. Ok its still dark so i only see like sillouetes of them from like a far distance so i cant make out whos where and there was also like got7s tour crew too.

Suddenly a big spot light comes down (they were testing lighting) and it was right on mark right in the center. He had no makeup on and he was wearing on of those tank tops with the large arm holes and basketball shorts. At this point the boys were just chatting whatever into mics and slightly messing around to test the mics and positions for lighting.

This went on for a little while but they werent starting any songs (which i was really eager to see). They just kept messing about a little. Mark did like a small whip. Yugyeom was dancing really weirdly. Youngjae was squatting down. Jaebum was humming into the mic. Jinyoung and jackson were kinda off the side of the stage so i couldnt see them too well. And bambam came from the side of the stage toward yugyeom to chat with him. During this entire time the camera kept focusing at each member and displayed on the big screen (again probably just testing angles) and each member didnt have any makeup on. They looked beautiful

Oh also! What the other members were wearing:

Jackson: all black with a base ball cap, jinyoung: all black as well black hoodie that he kept putting up and down, Yugyeom: ALSO all black black tshirt tucked into clack skinny jeans, Youngjae: white with red striped windbreaker (you see in airport photos), bambam: think he was wearingblack skinny jeans with a dark blue long sleeve shirt, JB: i dont remember! Im so sorry

Then right when i thought we were going to be sent out of the arena to go back in line, loud music starts playing and got7 starts to rehearse. First was hardcarry and they start right from marks verse. After that they did a bit of skyway. THEN they started doing full songs. They did paradise, my home, and out.

The cool thing was when i saw this i figured out the layout of how Pit 2 (my area) looked like. And then i figured out the best place to stand to get a close and good view of the boys. So once i actually got into the arena at concert time there was a specific spot i aimed for (spoiler alert; i got that spot lol).

Okay back to got7, in between songs got7 would always make like weird noises or like mess around like mark would go "YAAAAAS" or theyd do the whole like *whispers names like 'defsoul' into the mic when songs begin*. I was so in love with this because there of course wasnt supposed to be any fans to witness this. That means that they do this shit on there own. So when you see them being weird on their tv shows or on variety that truly is there true selves. Like i knew that already but this was like PURE evidence that its true.

It was also super funny to watch them half ass doing the choreography. Like in paradise in that spinny jumpy part, jinyoung just kinda slowly spun around with like the straightest face.

Its so hard to put everything that i saw into words. I feel like i sound like im making this up because i couldnt take photos or videos. But IT HAPPENED. IT VERY MUCH HAPPENED. I was shaking the entire time. Everytime they finished a song we did clapping motions but didnt actually and were freaking out.

Im so thankful for that guy who let us in. It seemed like a random act of kindness but i just cant believe that it was ME who got to see that. Okay thank you for listening to this. Of course the third part is going to be about the actual concert BUT so much happened so like im probably just going to post the videos i took 😀😀

he lives in a very rural country setting outside the city. theres a lot of like farms and feild out there, but his parents wanted to live in the clean quiet air kind of place (insp from my neighbor totoro kind of place)

oscar takes wood shop as an elective, and he kind of likes it. hes made a bunch of wooden little projects for fun. 

hes also pretty good at carving by hand. once he made a little wodden horse,. it had a dumb looking head and its legs were too short, ubt you win some you learn some nfdksf

sometimes the drama club needs some more specific props. mochi has to go ask him for help because coco is too stubborn. “Can’t we just make it out of like????? cardboard?????/ please???????????” “Or we can have oscar do it for free”

“Oooh! Can we go in there?” You pulled at Jimin’s sleeve and pointed at a small shop with a bunch of adorable plushies. He turned his head to where you were pointing and sighed.

“Do we have to go into every single shop with plushies in them?” Jimin protested but still allowed you to pull him into the store.

“Yes, we do!” you giggled at him. “Because I’m looking for something!”

“What is it?”

“Uh, actually I’m not sure, hehe~” You looked around curiously, trying to find something small to buy so that you’d always remember your first “date” with Jimin. “But it has to be something cute!”

“You’ve been dragging me around for two hours and you don’t even know what you’re looking for?” Jimin chuckled in disbelief as he browsed the shelf with tiny kitty plushies. You saw him smile at a grey one with a little scarf before he picked it up to show to you. “What about this one? It’s cute, right?”

You blushed, taking it from his hand. It was a pretty cute kitty, but you loved it even more because Jimin had picked it out for you. “Yeah, this is the one!” You were glowing so much and didn’t catch him staring.

Just as you were about to walk it up to the cash register to pay, it was taken from your grasp. Jimin placed the kitty on the counter and took out his wallet.

You shook your head with a flustered look. “Jimin, it’s okay… I already wasted your time coming here and-”

Jimin ignored you and proceeded to pay the cashier. Once you were out of the store, he handed you the kitty.

“You didn’t have to pay for me, you know…” you pouted. But you were also overjoyed with the fact that the boy you loved got you something special. You stared at the kitty again and smiled.

“Just be happy you got what you came for, okay?” Jimin watched you fiddling around with the plushie. You hugged it tightly and squealed. “You really love it that much?” he laughed.

“Yeah! Thanks Jimin~!” you smiled up at him. “I’ll get you something next time, I promise!”

“Next time?” He raised a brow at you. “I thought this was a one time thing.”

“But you had fun, right?” You poked him. “I wanna do it again… Maybe next time could be an actual date?”

“I already told you we’re not dating…”

“Not yet, but maybe in the future~?” you said, blushing softly.

“Okay, okay!” You tried to calm both her and yourself down. Even in that moment, you weren’t sure if it was a good idea to tell her that you knew her favorite idols. But you trusted her. “Actually, it’s about two guys… and you know them…”

“Two guys??” Yoora’s jaw dropped. “OMG, Y/N!! When?? How?? WHO?”

“At the fansign. Uhh, I don’t really know how it happened…” You leaned closer to whisper. “But it’s Jungkook and Jimin.”

“WHAT? NO WAY!!” Yoora’s shrieks gained you some stares from people passing by. “PICS OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN!!”

“It’s a long story… but basically, Jungkook and I-”

“You’re dating HIM???”

“No!” You shushed your friend. “But we may or may not have hung out…” Yoora’s eyes widened.

“Really?!! You’re so lucky!!! OMG. WOW.” She muffled her loud voice with her hands. “Wait, what about Jimin??”

“Ohh… Jimin…” You took a moment to ensure you wouldn’t say too much. “I told him you’re his biggest fan and he said you can meet them next time.”

You were expecting to hear the loudest scream of all, but Yoora was too shook to make a sound. She stared at you with the largest eyes.

“I’m meeting with Jungkook after this, so I’ll be sure to ask him about you, me, him, and Jimin all meeting together some time.”

“L-like a double d-date?”

You nodded, even though you were pretty sure Jimin didn’t intend on it being a “date”. But after you had made it clear that you weren’t giving him anymore chances, maybe someone else could give him a chance instead.

“OMG yay! Thanks, Y/N~!” Yoora’s eyes sparkled like you’d never seen before.

By the time evening came around, you met up with Jungkook for a walk around the streets of Seoul. You were still in disbelief that the boy had actually asked you out on a second date. But you found it very refreshing whenever you spent time with him.

“Jimin told me you came back to the dorms smiling like an idiot after our bowling date.” You nudged Jungkook. “Is that true?”

“I was smiling, but not like an idiot!” he laughed. “Jimin really says too much sometimes…”

“Yeah, he does, huh…” Your expression dropped a little because you understood that too well.

“By the way, what’s your relationship with him?”

“Huh?”

“Jimin told me you guys were childhood friends?”

“Uh… yeah… I mean, I guess that’s all we were.” You looked down at the sidewalk, not really wanting to talk about your past with Jimin. “From the time he left Busan until that fansign, we didn’t talk at all.”

“Oh… It’s probably just because he’s been working so hard with Bangtan stuff during these past few years,” Jungkook tried to reassure you.

“Probably,” you said, even though you knew it wasn’t the whole truth. You just wanted to change the topic somehow. “Speaking of Jimin, do you think he’d be down for a double-date type thing?”

“A double-date?” Jungkook’s eyes widened. “You mean like you, me, him, and…?”

“My friend,” you finished his sentence. “Jimin said I could bring her along some time.”

“Ah! I see,” he nodded. “Jimin doesn’t really seem like the ‘date’ type though… Like, all my other hyungs have gone out every once in a while, but I’ve never seen Jimin with anyone else.”

“Really…?” That couldn’t have been true. You were certain Jimin had gone on dates with other people. You even remembered Yoora telling you how popular he was among female idols. But at the same time, you knew Jungkook was being honest.

“Yeah, that’s why I was surprised when he met with you the other day!” he said. “I kinda thought you guys were dating…” You stayed quiet for a moment.

“Me and Jimin? I don’t think we’re the kind of friends that could ever date…” You hated how those words sounded coming from you. And it left a bad taste in your mouth.

Jungkook took notice and suddenly wrapped his hand around yours. His warmth comforted you and the faint pink on his cheeks made you smile and blush a little yourself. The bad taste was suddenly gone.

“What about us, though?” He did a cute head tilt. “Are we the type of friends that could date?”

You just stared back at him with huge eyes, unable to speak. Jeon Jungkook was really asking to be your boyfriend. You had to admit, he was the only other boy you’d felt something for besides Jimin. He was always so sweet to you, and you really did enjoy spending time with him. You had zero reason to say no, but at the same time, it wasn’t so simple to just say yes.

“Ah, I didn’t mean to surprise you or anything, haha.” The boy ruffled the back of his hair. “Take as much time as you need to-”

“Yes,” the word slipped out on its own. The only way you could justify it was by telling yourself you’d be an idiot to let Jungkook pass you by. You leaned your head on his shoulder. “I think we could and should date.”

“I think so too,” he smiled. “I just hope Jimin doesn’t mind me dating his friend.”

“He won’t.” You shook your head, but truthfully, you wondered exactly how he would react. As much as you hoped he wouldn’t mind, you couldn’t help but worry that he would. But the more you thought about it, the more you remembered you couldn’t be that special to Jimin. Because if he truly cared about you, he would’ve never given you a reason to hate him in the first place.

“Hm, maybe you know him better than I do,” Jungkook nodded. “You guys were best friends after all.”

“Yeah…” You wanted to believe you knew enough about Jimin, but there were so many things he had refused to share with you. Things you had to find out the hard way.

“Anyway, I’ll be sure to ask him about the double date thing!” Jungkook swung your hand playfully. “That guy can use a nice date. He’s been looking a little lonely these days.” Lonely?

As soon as you got back, you noticed Jungkook had sent you a sweet goodnight text, so you replied back with a few kiss emojis. You smiled at your phone screen until you saw your text conversation with Jimin right underneath, and you were reminded of him being lonely. It couldn’t have been because of you, right? As an idol, he had plenty of other things to worry about before some childhood friendship.

But you still wanted to check up on him—just in case.

i keep talking to myself all the time - no not cause im mad or alone - but like i said earlier - i pretend like its ‘him’ and just him. meaning, no, im not those people who talk to themselves cause they enjoy doing it, or like um neither those who talk to themselves cause they dont have anyone else to talk to - but rather, -i-just-talk-to-him-

wow, no that was a nice way to put it out there. so much for defending myself lol

ok so im kinda energetic - as in -my mood is- i am not, physically energetic though. i mean i just spent the last hour and a half in bed scrolling through my phone until my phone shut off cause it ran out of charge and only then i dragged myself slowly to the washroom to pee which i shouldve done 60 minutes ago. so yeah - very lazy 

speaking of time. WTH is going on with this world? i feel like the number of seconds in one minute is a subject to small rise and falls like the world currencies! I mean seriously, i swear nowadays “1 minute” = “EIGHTY seconds” No Kidding!!!! It all started from after fajr today!!!!! 

yeah so after fajr today, at first i kind of blanked out - as in - that rush, impatience and i dont even know how to describe it - kinda feeling i was telling? about missing him and all that? like i need some action something to happen and wow this is such an off season - so yeah i was kind of stuck in my chair,, just switching from one social media to another doing nothing literally other than idk - trying to fast forward life and hit play somewhere cool ugh ok

so then something happened and it cheered me up and i got on the treadmill as was planned. usually do 3 hours but i knew doing 3 now, including my tiny 3-5 min breaks every 30 mins would take too long 

anyways ended up doing two hours at around 7 30 and then was too tired to take a shower so i just pulled a bed sheet from my closet and slept on the floor, cause no way im putting my stinky body to bed. 

when i got up, prayed zuhr and YESSS i did the one hour i skipped in the morning and yeah well thats pretty much it for the day. i mean then i sat and ate and then went to the hosp came back, chilled and still chilling right now as im typing :) 

oh something i said yesterday about how i wish life was full of action like in movies. like i just wish it was although i know its BS thats totally against how this life works. whats more surprising is how i actually wish for stupid stuff - i mean you know how on social media - one gets to present themselves the way they want. i mean you can be anything. happy sad widow married depressed gay - its like - its in your hands - how do you want to present yourself to the world mam? yeah you get my point? but like i lot of people fall for it. you look into others posts and you might wonder how their life is so wonderful and yours is not, how someones life is picture perfect and yours is not and BLABLABLA but Lol - i neverrrrr fell for that. pretty much cause i sugar coat my life too loool 

Its actually funny - im actually laughing - anyways where im getting at with this is - i was thinking about it - i mean for someone like me who never fell for all the crap people put up on display on social media - i sure am one hell of a dreamer to ‘wish’ for a busy ‘movie-like’ all colorful life. But then again in my defense - those are real people and people are full of crap so yeah i dont fall for their shit but i mean a movie is a well organised script being played out - ofcourse you ‘wishing’ for something like it is acceptable yasss (whatever makes you sleep at night:3 ) 

Also i assure you my vocabulary aint that poor, i just seem to lose my words when im posting anything here. mostly cause i have no words - everything is so messy and twisty and complicated Ugh 

Also its really weird that i feel like a days just passed by too fast this week. i mean i mustve slipped. i mean im like a human clock. lol i mean it. i mean when im not on vacation - and you ask me the time, anytime - my guesses are so close to accurate - like im aware of every second ticking by - now, im just saying im aware of it - that doesnt really mean i make the most out of time - but then i do know how precious it is, and i do feel like crap when im just shitting it away. and just randomly wasting time is one thing, but trust me when you are aware youre doing shit - ouch that burns! 

so august is coming, and i was kind of planning on fasting - i mean i didnt fast in july cause i wanted to get used to working out and fasting would just be disturbing. but yeah now its almost august and i think i should fast - for like the whole month - yeah :) cause i barely fasted for i think 8 days this Ramadan i need to make all the rest of it up. AND THEN AFTER THAT, it is sunnah but not one im actually brave enough to do to be honest but but but i think i have no choice - i mean i think i have to fast like every monday or thursday every week - cause i have a lot and a lot of fasting to do to make up for ALLLLL the ones i missed my entire life and trust me thats quite a lot - not the normal amount any girl would miss - cause ive been having problems and so i had to skip a lot and stuff - and i never kept an exact count - well actually its impossible cause its been a problem for years but then i do have to admit that i never tried either - cause idk- i guess i kind of took it as - oh cmon its just fasting - i mean i think i missed around 20 roughly - so ill just fast 30 - thatll cover it up plus ill fast extra - which is a good thing and blabla all that random thoughts! 

anyways i should now just focus on the 30 i wna fast for this year, in august but idk i have to come up with some legit plan where my work out schedule fits in perfectly too. both  are important to me, and im not choosing one over the other, i dont want to and i dont have to inshaAllah 

oh just a random thing - but i go for brands! Meaning, you know if something is sold by a really well known brand youd obviously expect it to have good quality and most of the time yes youre right. sometimes, nope! but then there are things which are not “branded” but the quality is amazing, and the price? well most of the time it is cheaper, but yeah i guess sometimes the price is almost similar - well the thing is - i am the type of person - whod want the brand name on PLUS the quality. like if there were 2 bags for example or two shoes, SAME quality, but one is cheaper ONLY cause it does not have a famous brand name on it - i am definitely the person whod pay wayyyy wayyy more for the branded one! - SO now you know the type of person i am :) :) :) :) 

Lol im sure that kind of information is something a lot of people would use to judge someone :3 But then im not all so irrational loool - like thats definitely something that is “goals” for me! I mean, i am a medical student being financially supported by my dad right now and will be for atleast the next 3 years. ATLEAST! ATLEAST! ATLEAST! 

SO yeah im not saying i cant afford branded products right now but i sure am not comfortable living a life of luxury at this phase of my life. I want to earn it. With my own sweat and energy. I want to tell myself that i deserve it. So yeah, thats the type of person i am but im not currently ‘practicing’ it like religion and one day IF i do, i know it will be something i earned and something Allah will not be unhappy with, because I am not planning to disappoint Him 

Okay enough with that. i really dont need to talk about it as long as i know ill be alright inshaAllah 

Oh something really interesting - so i REALLY REALLY need to smile. like NOT “smile more” but like “SMILE” for gods sake hahhaha. I mean idk - its like i hate people so much and idk i feel like everyone for some reason is turning against me or doesnt like me, and its not like i even care or want them to like me and thats exactly why im like all -pokerface-pokerface- but like cmooooon! if youre really talking to someone, something as simple as a short interaction in the hospital for example with the receptionist or pharmacist - i mean cmoon - just smile a little? i mean i REALLY need to work on it. cause if i am planning on being a doctor - OH PLEASE - smiling is part of the job OH WAKE UP LADYYY!!!!!!! 

but like im not kidding - like i just said - i feel like everyone for some reason is turning against me or doesnt like me. and ofcourse its not true, i mean MOST people dont even know me. like in the hospital i went to today for example - whyd everyone hate me? :) i mean idk its just something i feel. its weird. but sheeeeeet. have to work on it. fake a smile honey :) 

Okay and idk how wrong or right it is. but i thought of it and i dont feel like there is any harm to it. Like, id like to have the idea in my head that me and him, we love each other and we are meant to be together one day. inshaAllah. For which i always and always pray to Him and ask from Him. But as of right now, we are not together. but deep deep deeeeep deeeeeeeeeep deeeeeeeeeeeeeep and deeeeeeeeeeep’errr in my heart i keep telling myself that. We are.

now idk if its wrong, or right - but - i believe it is not making me do something which might anger my Lord.  All what it does is calm my heart. a little. And so i guess its okay! At least for now, i cant let go of the idea. Not today <3  Tada, guess thats enough for today!
