Ok, so this might be a super minor thing but it has being bugging me. Is it weird that despite Ochako, Iida and Todoroki being Izuku's closest friends, they never call him by his first name and vice versa? And the fact that it's Bakuhoe of all people to start doing that after his poor excuse of an 'apology' when we all know he isn't Izuku's friend at all (and really, they never were to begin with).

This is ignoring that Ochako calls him 'Deku' (which I'm not a fan of).

In Japan, people don't really call each other by their first names unless it is with someone they have a close relationship with, whether with family or close friends.

No I wouldn't say it's a minor thing to be bugged by, I am bugged by it too. More so by the injustice of it all, let me explain.

Bkg gets to call Midoriya "Izuku" and be praised by the narrative for 'knowing Izuku the best' and being "the closest" to Izuku when really all he did was;

Physically, emotionally and verbally abuse Izuku all his life for being quirkless (which if you take Quirklessness as disability coding makes a very ugly picture.)

Tell him to kill himself.

Destroy his property.

Scream at him all the time and invent a new slur ("Deku") just for him (this continues into UA.)

Blames All Might for Izuku's low self esteem when really it is in large part his fault.

Physically attacks Izu at the slightest provocation. I.e Izu being proud of Black whip apparently deserves a ninja star head piece to the skull according to Bakugou.

Makes jabs at Izu whenever he can, bc fuck Izu's feelings. Even after the lip service manipulation of an apology, Bkg deems it appropriate to say, "A quirkless child given a quirk, sounds like someone we know," in reference to the Aoyama Situation. Yeah, sounds like a great, thoughtful close friend there. Izu is "lucky to have a friend like that" right Author / All Might?!

Follows Izuku everywhere and keeps tabs on him, in true abuser fashion. (Follows him when Todoroki takes Izu to talk, unjustly joins Izu in the OFA meetings just to shit on the past holders and Izu himself. Joins in OFA training which Izu learnt nothing from and Bkg seemed to use it as an excuse solely to beat Izu up.)

Those are just the eight things I can think of at the top of my head, as to why Bkg doesn't deserve to be anywhere near Izu let alone have the privilege of calling Izu his first name.

Todoroki, Iida, Uraraka, Aoyama all deserve that privilege more being Izuku's true friends and it would show their bond closening over time which would have been nice to see.

Izu of course is Todoroki's first friend and Todoroki being as blunt as he is could have asked for the privilege of calling Midoriya his first name while offering his own after inviting him to his home which would have been nice to see.

Uraraka is meant to be the love interest canonically so having her only ever canonically call Izuku "Deku" really puts a sour taste in my mouth. Have her instead like Iida insist on calling Midoriya his last name at first then she could as their bond grows (and they become besties) offer her first name to him.

Iida of course is a bit stricter but it would be nice to see him soften to Izuku and offer his first name as well.

The Aoyama reveal should have been built up more by give Yuuga more screen time - we should have seen Yuuga POV on Izu's situation and focused on their parallels. I would like to have seen Yuuga offer his first name to Izuku and them have that close bond.

With Bakugou he doesn't ask for the right to call Midoriya his first name even after the apology - he just takes it without asking.

Because Bakugou, the abuser he is, believes it to be his right to do so. That signifies to me that, coupled with all his other actions, despite what the narrative wants us to believe he hasn't changed at all.

I Shot Cupid (I swear I’m not even that psychotic) by JoWithTheFlow

Izuku slid his thumb underneath the top of the note and quickly popped it open before he chickened out. If he chickened out, Iida would remind him of the note’s existence (because there was no way Iida wouldn’t do that) and then it would be awkward because Izuku would have to explain he hadn’t forgotten, he was just avoiding it. And Izuku was already awkward enough as it was without adding to it. Izuku read the inside of the note. He blinked. He blinked again. “Midoriya-kun?” Iida asked. “Is everything alright? Your face looks—” Numbly, Izuku showed him the note. There was a moment of silence, and then there were two moments of silence, and then Iida said, “It is unsigned.” Izuku flipped the note back around, looking at it again as if he expected the words to have changed in the time Iida had been reading it. Honestly, Izuku would have been less shocked if they had, because, well… I like you.

Ok, hear me out, Monoma and Izuku would be unstoppable, okay? So this is the most awkward Izuku story in the most delicious way. Izuku receives an anonymous note telling him "I like you". It was left on his locker and it's not signed, and Izuku simply cannot believe it was for him, he thinks he is undatable (which his friends are so cool about disproving him of the idea). Meanwhile Monoma, with whom he had become friends, simply reverted to his old ways, and worse, and Izuku is not sure what's going on. (it's not like he has a crush on Monoma and doesn't know how to deal). Amazing everything! Super fun and funny!

hey i was wondering if i could have a bakugo/todoroki/deku x reader (any one of them is fine) where the reader often rambles (had a past where they were often neglected and ignored) and they cant really control when it happens. so they end up rambling in class to a group when talking about something they really like, but the class ends up disinterested and kind of talks over her, before one of them (preferably Ochako cuz i have a burning hate for her that can only be fueled by fanfiction) kind of irritably cuts her off. after that the reader kind of goes radio silent and isolates for the rest of the day because they feel like a bother, and the worried guy of your choosing goes to check up on them, only to find them like laying on top of their cover's staring at nothing, a dead or empty look on their face. maybe they try and get them to talk, and eventually the reader opens up and says they feel like a bother/like no one likes them, maybe some light bullying from pink cheeks and gossip/rumors from other people in the school cuz they have a weak/villainous quirk and they deem them unfit, and even a bit of sad y/n backstory 😼 anyways i just want it to be heart-wrenching angst with little to no fluff until the end, can be from any characters POV. sorry if this is long i had a bit of a brain dump, feel free to change anything too!

oh also! cool quirk idea for the reader:

Bubble Pop: essentially the reader can create bubble of any shapes or sizes from their body or water sources nearby (its harder like that) and they dont pop unless the reader wants them too, so they can be used as bullets or trampolines to jump off of . (can even house people inside to help them escape) but when these bubbles pop they release hallucinogenic gas that can cause horrific hallucinations to those who inhale it. (feel and look real, like in schizophrenia disorder, can be very damaging to the victim). oh also maybe overuse causes the reader to become severely dehydrated, resulting is muscle cramps and liver problems, and hallucinations to themselves. also a heightened chance of schizophrenic disorder.

A certain pink-haired girl walked through the classroom doors, hair wet. "Bakugou has been such as ass for no reaaassoonnn." Mina pouted, laying her head on the table.

"Are you sure that's not because of your constant pranks on him?" Yaomomo questioned, hands on her hips. "Yeah, that's right. You do go overboard with your pranks, Mina."

Mina stuck her tongue out. "Awhhhh I can't help it, he's too fun to tease." "He's stuck up, isn't he?" Uraraka piped in, "He shouldn't have done that, that was wayy too mean."

"You're the only one that gets me, 'chako." Mina dramatically put her arms around Ochako's neck. "Bakugou's rude and unbearable, gosh. The only one he cares about himself. He's always mean to Izuku as well..." Ochako continued, huffing.

Todoroki and Izuku-kun walked closer on hearing what Ochako had to say. Taking a seat on the tables, listening to the conversation. "Isn't that a bit rude, Uraraka?" Izuku said nervously. "If Kacchan heard it-"

Before Todoroki could say anything, you spoke up. "I think Bakugou's that way because he's insecure. He looks like he only cares about himself, but when Izuku-kun was about to get kidnapped he was the first one to step in. Oh, and didn't he give you a sweater, Mina when you said you felt cold the other day?"

"You're right~ he's one of my bestest friends after all." Mina hummed. Ochako wasn't a fan of the fact you were the centre of attention, she made that clear by staring bullets into you.

"Even though he's rude to Izuku-kun- which isn't justified, He cares about Izuku a lot. I think Bakugou makes himself look confident and egotistical because he doesn't want to be seen as weak"

Yaoyorozu seemed interested at first, but she was talking to Todoroki now and you could see some of your classmates yawning and others walking away. Ochako gave you a look.

"Not cause he's actually any of those things." Your throat dried up as you trailed off. Izuku nodded, smiling. But you didn't see that.

Uraraka put her hand on her cheek, tilting her head. "Woooww, that was so interesting [name]. Anyways, who wants to check out the new cafe after classes today?"

Ashido cheered and the girls nodded enthusiastically, agreeing to the plan. They crowded around Uraraka, shoving you out of the way in the process.

After class, you walked to your locker deciding to retreat to your dorm for the rest of the day. You'd annoyed the people around you enough already. It's not like you had a right to be in their plans and bother them with your company. Sighing, you slammed the locker shut and walked to the dorm building.

Setting your heavy bag on the floor, you didn't bother changing out of your uniform. The sleeves of your blazer were damp with your tears. Well, whatever. You didn't mind being alone. Who cares about the opinions of some stuck-up teenagers anyways. Plopping yourself down on your bed, you decided to indulge yourself, indulge yourself in the pain your past held.

Thoughts trickled in slowly. It's not like you need company, you reassured yourself. You've done this before.

Did everyone really hate you? Were they just nice to you because you're classmates? Were you that boring?

Your little seance with your past self was cut short by a sharp knock at your door. Not that you bothered responding though. The person walked in and you didn't bother looking at them. What use was any of this?

"Hey..You feeling alright?" A squeaky voice asked. You turned your head to see the nervous green-haired boy standing there, looking at you with concern.

▻ "Uhuh." You replied.

"You don't sound alright. Mm...I know, do you want to talk about it?"

▻ "I told you, I'm fine. Dandy."

"Look, I'm here for you. You can tell me what's bothering you, don't bottle it up. You might feel better after you say it out loud, you know?" Midoriya said, seating himself down next to you.

You didn't want to keep it in anymore. It hurt and Midoriya seemed like he cared.

"It's just...I feel like everyone hates me. That they're just tolerating me cause they have to. You've heard the rumours about my grandfather going insane because of my quirk. They're just two-faced, talking behind my back and being nice to me to my face. it just sucks."

Midoriya hummed, understanding where you came from. "I don't think that's the case. Rumours come and go, we all have haters. We were worried about you because you haven't talked much today. I thought something was off when you looked sad in class today." You listened silently. He continued.

"The others are at the cafe, waiting for us. I volunteered to bring you there. Come on [name], join us. It'll be fun." Izuku smiled.

More questions hell yeah...as next week we'll see more of my kaachan academy.

I have to ask...what is Izu endgoal here? Bc look people can ship him and Ochako as much they want(they will be together) but canon has give all the reasons for them not be together...they will if Hori wants to follow the shonen formula but...I know it will be smth miserable for him.

On bright side, she wont cheat on him with bk....but will dream about Toga.

Which makes me think: this once was the story how Izu became a biggest hero...but "we became the biggest hero" hell, who am I kidding? "I, bakugou, became a great hero" is more likely.

1) Ochako has hidden her feelings for Izu (as if she is ashamed) we have seen novels where some girls do say Izu would be a bad BF and Ochako is silent. Granted no one is confessing their love to BK yet (I have a theory Hori will created Horiko to date BK) but the love interest doesnt know shit about him.

2) yes. Kota and Eri like him and even help him when class A1 forced him back...cool. but it tells me smth...if Izu is not killed (its Hori if he can shit Izu, he will) will he be respected by others heroes or...single out again? (Will never forgive how class A1 believe the words of bk so easily...bk is so openly hostile to Izu)

3) What will be his life after all this? Say he saves Shig somehow (20 mins hearing him moaning and doing nothing) well...would he start think highly on himself?(I laugh as if...this is Hori we are talking about)

4) will anyone be inspired by him? Bc in my first watch I really thought the ending would be "a kid sees Izu and is inspired by him" ...my bad, it will be "a kid will see bk and be inspired by this useless dead weight"

I could talk about how IzuOcha is a mess and cant work as friends ...but this is for another ask.

To conclude. Izu's ending will be as miserable as his start...even if he and Ochako are married with kids. Bk shall be glorified for no reason (like the first epi) oh its indeed cyclical 🙄😒

Lol, didn't Uraraka turn Toga down?

1. I've heard about this novel. Izuku's just Horikoshi's punching bad isn't he? It feels vastly OOC for the girls to say something like that. Admittedly, Izuku doesn't have many visible romantic qualities shown, but he doesn't have any negatives either. He's a fair bit younger than me so I won't comment on looks past him being a cutie pie, but I would think Kaminari would be the pick for bad boyfriend. He might not be as bad as Mineta, but he does condone and sometimes encourage Mineta's behavior. I don't have a lot of issues with Kaminari and he's matured quite a bit, but he definitely wouldn't be in the running from my POV (better than Bakugou at any rate)

2. I sure hope that the kid who's been at the forefront of a war would be respected

3. I hate to say it but probably not :( We've never seen Izuku affirm his confidence in himself. Self doubt and self resentment is part of him and I don't think Hori even thinks it's an issue

4. Luckily, Eri, Katsuma, and Kota are good indicators. Uraraka too. Izuku does inspire people. Though, it's overshadowed by Bakugou apparently also inspiring 1A with him (more bs from Aizawa)

It's just Todoroki tryna figure out why he gets sick around you but still it feels good and feel like sometimes when you do something affectionately why he feels like someone's attacking him in his stomach (poor lil boy) 🥹

You were making your way to school while listening to your favourite song it always made you feel like the main character I mean who doesn't like being the main character?

You successfully made it inside the school building without getting kidnapped, murdered, getting hit by a car, getting lost etc...

You walked down the busy hallway as you saw people giving love letters to thier crushes.. people with sad faces because of getting rejected by their dream man/women... You were wondering why all this confessions were happening you went pass the school auditorium to see the entrance decorated with hearts and flowers and with the letters cut my glitter paper 'HAPPY VALENTINES 1 more day before valentine's and 4 more days to our valentine's dance!'...

That's when you start to realize you have a very big crush on todoroki but he just runs away from you like your presence is literally his death 💀..

You went to your locker, thinking about todoroki and taking your textbooks out for Chemistry and when you were making your way to chemistry you saw mina, deku, and ochako surrounded around todoroki u didn't want to annoy them so you just minded your business and went for Chemistry..

Todoroni pov:

"Guys y/n has a secret quirk.." Todo Boi

Said in an calm and concerned voice

"what do you mean todoro-" mina got cut off by the sweet cinnamon roll Izuku "WHAT! Y/n has a secret quirk how- why would she not say anything about it to me? What's it like todoroki? *Mummer mummer mummer* "

"ignore that Todo continue what you were saying.." mina said in curiosity.

"whenever, she looks at me I get nervous and sometimes when she does stuff I get hearts attacks that feel good and I feel like someones punching my stomach sometimes and it-" todoroni got cut off by the girls laughter "oh todoroki, your in looooveee!" Mina said in a teasing way.

"oh yes that's exactly how I feel around izuk-" 'I can float' slapped her mouth close with both her hands "mummer- hmm? Did anyone say my name?" Cinnamon roll asked in curiosity "NO IZUKU! NO ONE EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR NAME" ochako said panickingly. "Well I expected for me to get satisfied by you both accepting each other but.. back to you Todoroki!..." Mina said as the word sarcastic wrote itself on her words "How do I get rid of them?" Shoto asked innocently asked. "Well, you gotta confess or there is no way you can get rid of em no... It stays for ever if she accepts you I mean Todo you can feel like that forever" Uraraka said to todoroki hesitantly. " Sometimes, try taking your own advice ochako, now Todo you should go confess to y/n" mina said excitingly. "K," he ran off to find his beloved. "MINA Do you think he's gonna say I love you or SOMETHING ELSE?!? what ... What IF HE GETS REJECTED?!?" Ochako said scaredly "oh oh..."

(YALL, they should add more shades of letter colours bcz ochako and mina are both pink but I'm sorry mina I turned your text to minata and jiro color 😭")

POV OF THE BEAUTIFUL TODO'S PRINCESS Y/N L/N - (omg so beautiful 😭)

You were listening to more music peacefully copying down some notes you missed, sitting near a beautiful tree. You saw todoroki running towards you like he have some very serious news.. you got up bcz u felt like you should.

He reached you and started panting like a dog (kinda ho- no no gurl no NO!)

He calmed down and said "y/n everytime I see you my hot side cheek started to feel warm and what's weird is the same happens to my cold side cheek, and when you compliment me when I win a training fight I feel like someone punches my stomach and when you do something like a simple thing like talking to me I get heart attacks and it's like it my hearts trying to break free" he said I love you in a big speech but It wasn't and I love you for you the way he described it made it sound like he hates you.

"....you hate me that much?... what did I even do to you?" Y/n said brokenly.

"you make me sick everytime I see you- why are you crying?" Todo said worriedly

"do you have anything else to say? I friggin hate you.." you said and started running away from him as you cried yourself untill you got home..

He picked up your note book that you left near the tree and tried giving it back to you but you were already gone from his sight. He felt a little guilty for making you cry he has no idea what happened.

He took your note book home with him and set it down his table and went through it. He found his name and poems for him written all over the note book with hearts written all over, he remembered a romance movie he was forced to watch by mina.. there was a girl like who liked a boy, and she just wrote his name all over her books. Then he got it... 'she likes me too,... "maybe it was the way I said it" he repeated to the words you said to Siri and Siri replied to him saying

'that's really rude of you'

He felt bad. He wanted to make it up to you he researched about how to confess to girls how to make girls feel better etc, he called your friends to find out about every detail of you he worked on his y/n project whole night.

SATURDAY 5.30 P.M.

You were lying on your bed rolled up in your aesthetic comfy blanket with a squish mellow next to you as you were watching a movie that was not evolved to any type of Romance cause you were doing all this to feel better from yesterday's todoroki hates me speech. "that's really dum-" you heard a knock on your door your father and mother were out so you got a little scared you looked outside through your opened window hesitantly to see pokéball themed hair, and a big (when I say big ITS BIG DARLING) bouquet of your favourite flowers as you looked closer you realized it was todoroki "TODOROKI?!?" you slapped your mouth and hoped that he didn't hear you sudden vomit of words. He looked up at you as you blushed slightly "would you care to come down please, and accept these flowers and chocolates as a gift of my apologies to you?" He said charmingly "why the hell would I do that you hate me don't you do you think a bunch a flowers are gonna make me forgive you?!" You said loudly so he can hear "please, it's just a few words please ..." He asked in such a cute way. Your enemybor (your enemy neighbor) looked at you madly through their window, you felt a little awkward feeling and came to the thought of taking Todo inside. You ran downstairs and opened the door for todoroki "I'm not letting you in cause I feel bad for you it's because of the neighbors stares." You said sternly. "Look y/n-" he got cut off "oh, shut up please.." you said angrily "please y/n" he pleaded with innocent poppy dog eyes. "fine, better be a good explain" you rolled you eyes. He took a deep breath in "I meant to say how I feel around you but it came out wrong the guy punching my stomach was meant to be called butterflies I just described them in my sense I'm really sorry" he bowed to you and bent in his knees and said " please, y/n I need you in my life I'd rather die without you please all I meant to say is I love you" he handed you the big bouquet of expensive flowers. "Are you for real I'm so happy! I love you soo much todo-kun I'm really sorry too!" You said happily taking the flowers from him. "that's great, do you want to go to the dance? I don't like the crowd that much but If you want to go we should go." he charmingly smiled at you with pink dusted on his cheeks. "No we should watch a movie and stay in our home comfort wrapped in a blanket enjoying each other's presence while others suffer in itchy uncomfy costumes in the dance!" You confessed you idea and todoroki happily agreed and then you sat next to each other and talked about you lives

As you were feeding yourselves the chocolate todoroki brought shoto got reminded of something important "by the way, here's your notebook you left it in school I went through it, you spelled my name wrong in the 3rd sentence of your poem." he said while hiding his face away from you and rubbing his neck "Have your mom not told you to no to go through people stuff?!?" You said embarrassed while forming into the cutest beetroot "no but, my mom thought me how dangerous and hot a kettle can be besides you my girl friend now." He said innocently "oh, you sweetheart Todo" you said while petting his head "oh no... It's happening again y/n.... it's doing it again." he said as concern was all over his face "why?!? Are you good?" You said worriedly "my hearts trying to break free.."

Toga, Ochako, Admiration, and Imitation - A Five Part Saga

Part l — Where does imitation stem from?

From Bakugou to Deku To Ochako To Toga

As mentioned in most parts of this saga, Ochako’s imitation of Deku was from a want to reach his heights of heroism since he is her image of the hero to strive to be. However in Part l, I did mention that Ochako came to the conclusions of wanting to save people and grew into her own ideals to be a hero who protects people’s smiles without her imitation of Deku, and it’s important for this next part too.

Ochako, all on her own, also came to the conclusion that she wanted to save Toga, and everything she’s been through — Her past and wanting to protect people’s smiles, Nighteye’s death, seeing heroes lose their morale (including Deku) — has led up to this moment.

Ochako is reflecting on her own feelings — what she didn’t realize before, and what she’s come to want to understand from Toga’s POV.

But still, she’s doubting herself, until Deku says that he too wants to save Shigaraki, despite it all. He’s not forgetting what he’s done, neither is Ochako about Toga, but they still want to save them.

“I guess both of us are kinda weird”

I think this was the conclusion to their relationship arc — the entirety of it was based on Ochako’s growth as an individual hero through her helping Deku, and Deku’s appreciation to her as a friend

She helped Deku in the beginning of the series when he tripped, gave him some points to get into UA, and started her original goal as being a hero to help her parents

She’s inspired by Deku to try as hard as he does, and with her experiencing Nighteye’s death she grows into a hero who saves (like Deku)

She sees Deku constantly break himself to protect others, and applies that to her own ideals of “who protects the heroes?” It’s there that she helps Deku with Black Whip, putting those ideals into motion for the first time

And now, with her helping bring Deku back to UA, she comes into her own role and ideals as the hero who protects everyone’s smiles, giving her speech for all the heroes who suffered this war, and applies it to Toga too, ending with her wanting to save Toga (Just like Deku wants to save Shigaraki)

And now, she sees through her own individual growth, not her imitation of Deku, she came to the same conclusions as him — She, on her own, reached the heights of heroism that she admired in him.

And with that conversation, Deku has thanked her for helping him once again.

Just as she always did.

He appreciates her as a friend, and she’s happy that she reached that ideal heroism in her own way. There’s no more feelings of inadequacy about her heroism.

And now she’s ready to be herself, and face Toga as Ochako Uraraka, confident in who she is as a person and hero.

For Ochako and Toga’s idea of “love” as far as Deku is involved, it’s been directly said to be like Deku’s admiration and imitation of Allmight.

As mentioned in Part lll, and also shown in the manga, Deku’s imitation of Allmight manifested as unproductive and unhealthy imitation of a person you greatly admire. Just as Deku is Ochako’s image of the ideal hero (and Toga’s), Allmight is Deku’s. (After this, Deku says “Why doesn’t it make me feel that [fulfilled] then? I would never want to hurt the people I love.”)

And again, during Bakugou’s apology/speech he tells Deku that his admiration of Allmight and his ideals aren’t wrong, but imitating him and those ideals alone ain’t enough to get him over the wall he’s facing. Wreaking himself, shouldering the burden alone, etc. isn’t going to help him with AFO/Shigaraki or fulfill him as a hero/person.

I believe this is the conclusion Ochako came to as well about her own admiration, and will tell Toga in return — their admiration isn’t a bad thing, it doesn’t need to be put away or hindered, however those ideals alone aren’t enough to fulfill their wants/desires as people — as mentioned before in Part lV — which was to accept themselves (Ochako) and be accepted by others (Toga).

Through their combined ideals of protecting everyone’s smiles and living the way they want to, they can reach reconciliation and acceptance of one another, and fulfill what/who they want to be as people.

Much like Deku and Bakugou’s reconciliation is based on their shared ideals of save to win/win to save, and fulfilling their goals/who they want to be as both people and heroes.

Bakugou was able to do this because he knew Deku
