But honestly, no... It's not really about my characters to me. I love my characters, of course, and I love telling stories, and I hope to keep making art of my characters every day until I die.

But it's not about them! They're not REALLY what I love, what I love is people! And I hope I can leave the world with a hundred different love letters so my readers can feel how much I love them for even one day longer than I am here.

My characters are a conduit through which I can give that to people. I want nothing more than to make someone feel a little more loved, a little more seen, and a little less alone. And my characters are the best way I know how to do that.

So for that, they're incredibly important to me... But they're not for me. They're for you!

So I hope you enjoy them

and I hope you can feel that I love you through them.

Somewhere around 1 in 100 people living in the Gaza Strip prior to October 7th are dead. Even after a ceasefire, people are going to continue dying because of the destroyed infrastructure and because of perfectly treatable injuries that won’t be attended to in time or with the resources necessary. Israel doesn’t “provide” resources to Palestine. No colonial settler state “provides” anything to the indigenous populations it commits genocide against. It deprives them because that is what is necessary to maintain the colonial settler state.

Anyway, what annoyed me just now in the first place was seeing the comment section of a musakhan recipe where some smug zionist said, “cooked on electric or gas stovetop with energy provided by Israel!” Aside from the obvious assholery, it made me fume because Israel isn’t fucking providing energy to Gaza right now. This is exactly why Israel has control of the energy resources to begin with, so that they can enact this kind of collective punishment on the people of Gaza. What kind of cruel, ignorant cunt do you have to be to tout the state of Israel’s “generosity” right now?

hello!!! i think i got close to shifting the night!!! for the last 3 nights ive been trying some methods whether it be stuff i found on tumblr or guides methods on spotify. but none of them seems to be my thing, as after a while i get real awake and struggle to fall asleep as well as get bored. last night i decided to simply listen to powerful shifting subliminals before sleeping and during it. the day before i had read that i don't actually need a method or anything just simply my intention would be enough and ngl i'm a bit lazy but i just wanna wake up in my dr so bad🙏🙏 during it i said some affirmations then slept but woke up afterwards(it was a 2 hour video) and i couldn't sleep back. people in the comments were saying they have shifted to this regardless of if they have used a method or not. i laid awake for like 20 mins and then finnaly decide to close to video when there was like 10 mins before it was gonna end and decided to do some stuff to make me sleepy(it was 3 am) i don't really have a script but only something that is for security. i merely imagined things in my head, even something big as who my friends gonna be, where i will live etc or just said then simply in my mind, unable to find something for them and just see them once i'm in my dr. i hope this is enough?? bc im really not good at visualizing i can only think of certain actions happening that's why i hate methods too i'm unable to do them properly. anyway when i was finnaly sleepy,i found a powerful subliminal on spotify that is 1 hour long, simply said stuff like "i am in my dr, i will wake up in my dr, i have the intention to wake up in my dr" a couple times and tried to imagine myself sleeping there. the thing is i didn't change almost anything about myself so since it's very much the same as me now i cannot see my dr self any different than me. nevertheless, very close to me falling asleep, i felt like i was my dr self!! kept my eyes closed, i didn't feel anything physical but only felt as if i was truly in my dr sleeping there. and i had such a blank dream, literally no one or anything, just pitch black where i felt myself as if i was my dr self again. unfortunately i woke up here but i think this is a big sign?? and just one more little thing,, as i said i didn't script but i want some very general event to happen such as getting into the school i want, getting married, going on vacations etc but i don't really have a visualtion of my mind but rather things that will happen there, thats enough for them to happen write? i really don't like writing scripts if anything ill just add there. anyway, so sorry for writing such a long paragraph and i hope i made sense(english isn't my first language😖) and can you guide me a bit!! have a lovely dayyyyy<33

I use brown sounds to fall asleep, but I found 10 hours of subliminals about abondance. I dont see why there could not be a subliminal for shifting.

Just a random thought that popped into my head about Elta & Jensen..... I don't think she was as insecure about herself back when she started dating Jensen as she is now. I think after she and Jensen started dating, she realized just how much women fangirled over and wanted Jensen and since he spent 9 months out of the year in Vancouver filming SPN, ALONE (most of the time), she started getting incredibly insecure and petty, especially since we all know there's no way Jensen wasn't sleeping his way thru Vancouver, and that's when the plastic surgery began. She figured if she could look like his "ideal" or "dream" woman, that she could keep him from looking elsewhere (i mean, why else would she write shit like "he's mine, bitches" on a pic of Jensen for a fan?) Too bad she hasnt realized that LOOKS DONT KEEP A MAN.

I'm guessing she realized that Jensen was going to do whatever he wanted so she decided to do the same, i.e Steeb. But at this point, she keeps up with the plastic surgery bc once u start, u can't stop. Jensen, unfortunately, isn't going to leave her. She knows that if he was going to, he would've done so already. I think he's "settled" on the idea of staying with her bc if he hasn't left her after everything she's done and how she's treated him, then there's nothing that will make him leave her. It's why I don't follow him on Twitter or IG anymore. I'm sick of seeing her ugly mug all over my timelines.

I'm serious starting to wonder about his mental wellbeing. He keeps pushing her as if she had talent or any redeeming quality. She does not. She is a talentless, classless bimbo with no soul so the fact that he endorses her is deeply creepy to me and, like you, I stopped following him because of her. A very long time ago. The saddest part is it's not just him posting about her but how pathetically, fakely he does it. Like he is not capable of real love, authenticity and responsibility. I'm more disappointed in the superficial man he comes off as when he makes posts about her and I end up feeling sad for her. I know she made her own bed but...he's a shitty husband. Sorry not sorry. I would divorce him with the speed of light and never look back. This is just my preference and opinion, of course, but though Jensen looks like my dream prince charming, he appears to be made of cardboard on the inside. Wrapping is beautiful but it fades, what stays is the soul and a soul that cannot be authentic or love cannot connect to someone elsel, not truly. This is one of those days where I wish he would just fall suddenly in real love with someone else and start living. Because right now he is just existing, arrogantly but sadly.

As for looking like his dream woman, Danneel is fooling herself. You cannot change yourself to meet that for anyone because it's something that comes from them. From their soul and their core desires. She's trying to fabricate herself into something she will never truly be, if she really loved Jensen she would let him go. I am going to assume you've read the war era reminis, you are familiar with ex fine, what and why things happened, and your question is regarding current fine. I will also hope you've read Daydream and Blackbird as they explain a lot about the moments right after the war, from Eichi and Wataru's perspectives. Plus Eichi calls Yuzuru sexy, never forget.

Now, let's see, from the beginning. Flower fes is the first story with fine as we know it (minus Eichi as he was in the hospital), it's about Tori and Yuzuru meeting Wataru for the first time (among other things. It's also a good look into the state of things in the beginning of the next year right after the war. There's a good bit with Valkyrie as well)

Then other early ! Era stories would be Circus (fine perform at a circus, the scene that stood out the most to me is that of Eichi and the lion) and Quarrel Fes (Eichi Keito showdown mostly, it's good for understanding Eichi better)

Then Milky Way (fine and valkyrie, personally i'm due a complete reread), Jingle Bells (the one where Tori's illusions of fine as a perfect savior unit that can do no wrong and that hasn't done wrong in the past start dissipating), EP:link......i assume that if you follow me you've read eplink, but if not, i will not spoil it. The last story before the change of eras and it deals partially with fine's future.

Then for other stories i recommend when you have time: Magnolia (the best bridal enstars story imo, focused on Tori working around the school to buy Eichi a brooch for a gift exchange event), Dance Floor (they go to the park and then do karaoke at the end...), Triumph of the Emperor (an old story where Tori takes lead to prepare for a future where Eichi wouldn't be in fine anymore. This is all before we or they knew we'll have !! Era where the units stay together), Summer Live (undead and fine. Very unfortunate a good story is overshadowed by orientalist cards)

From the !! Era... um. I think there are some good one off idol stories, like the one with the parfait i remember seeing a tl for, but i dont know the name of it (i suspect it's somewhere in tori or eichi's idol stories). The best fine story in !! imo is Tempest. I also recommend if you end up enjoying fine Fist of the shangri la idol. And Sanctuary.........i feel like you should only read it after you already like Eichi or you might not have the best time... If you want to read anything else go ahead, but I can't guide you (I was unsatisfied with Primavera, and haven't yet read Ghostic. I enjoyed the livetweets for Atlantis but you can't find a full tl of it anywhere yet afaik and I'm not gonna recommend the !! climax to someone who is just getting started with fine as a whole anyway)

I hope I haven't talked for too long... if you need ex fine recs too, i'd say Element first and foremost, Checkmate for Eichi & Tsumugi's early relationship, and Wonder Game. Oh and Altered Origins. It's still a fever dream of a story to me personally, i haven't fully wrapped my head around the fact that we are getting the remini animes and extra stories yet. I mean I have, but you know, it still feels a bit surreal.

If anyone feels like I forgot any important fine stories please add to the conversation. If you end up interested in Wataru and Eichi in particular I'd also recommend Diner Live, but it is not a fine story. I've heard Toyland is good for Tori (Yuzuru too?) but I haven't personally read it yet. If you want more Wataru and Tori interactions, Amusement Live has some good scenes, but it is not that much about them, the story's about Ra*bits and 2wink. kian: hrmm...im trying to think...i cant imagine a world where he doesnt eventually leave his dad... like...is it even feasible to live ur whole life in those conditions and not try to get away. theyre just..UNLIVEABLE. if he didnt leave he'd just DIE

tho...even if he just left later that'd make a huge impact on him i think...he'd be soooooooo cold. he wouldn't even have the unserious funny haha nihilism he has now. he'd just be an angry dick that's entirely dead inside. he would survive doing the bare minimum bc he wouldn't think about how life could get better than that. everyone would avoid him besides the naïve "ooo sexy man" initial response but just one interaction would have them being like nah, actually,

ace: oogh, there's so many decisions he made that i could unmake, oogh. delicious.

if he decided to not help his dad financially as a kid. oh thats a big one. oh its so big the more i think abt it. holy shit. that's what formed his entire personality. all his interests and everything. so. honestly? ace would probably be taken away from his dad if it got worse. even if CPS fucking sucks there's nooo way i think it'd be allowed to go further downhill. (otherwise they'd be literally on the streets and THEN ace would get taken away? either way) and i honestly cant see ace getting adopted, unfortunately.

his dad, even if he didnt spoil him with STUFF, he spoiled his attitude. it's like...probably some way of like making up for not being able to get ace anything is to let him act however he wanted. so it'd take some reeeeeeal patient parent(s) to wanna take ace in because he wouldn't have the mind to hide it at that point. ace would maybe eventually learn to chameleon his behavior? but i think by the time he learned it in the foster system it'd be too late bc..ppl dont tend to adopt teenagers either

ace, but...jaded O_O he wouldn't evolve that charming personality. i think he'd lean more into the class clown personality. but it's not as endearing bc everyone sees him as a girl. and i know from experience, girl class clowns are just...weird-girls w Issues to everyone. its not endearing like it is w boy class-clowns to other ppl. he'd still have like..pretty strategic ideas for situations and stuff bc that's inherently him. but..i dont think it'd get him as far as it normally would

so he'd be so..lonely lmao. like regular ace also has issues w loneliness but its way more complex. this would just be straight up. fkn lonely. and straightforward misery from it. maybe he'd have some goons or smth at some point? but idk if he could ever truly connect w them unless they were also from the foster system.

cuz see im thinking that normal ace learns everything he does bc he makes the decision that he HAS to. he has to to survive so it all becomes this like...ok i do this or i starve. whereas an ace that's either decided its hopeless, not his responsibility, or just didnt think to do it, wouldnt have that same direct "inspiration" riding his ass. so his social skills would form in a rly weird way based mostly off how much of a brat he is and how much he desires everyone to like him (which is also true of any other ace but this one has a like..feral desperation to it in comparison. like a stray animal more than..someone who grew up too fast and forgot to make real friends along the way <- the usual)

he'd still have these like lofty dreams and i think he'd still want to chase them somehow, but he wouldn't have the connections nor the charm normal ace has. he'd be, at most, some stand-up comedian who performs nights at some local venue and he's just an opener for the main act. maybe he'd sing and put in the work to be good at it, but a big part of this kinda career is the ppl you know so :pensive emoji:

Random shang tsung hc blurbs. Dont mind me I'm just throwing out my own hcs and interpretations.

To my knowledge. Shang tsung was never specified on what and whom the gods he worshiped were. All we know if they are more likely fell/dark powers. (Hence his curse to take souls according to the og bios)

Then again NRS changes shit up too much so its up for grabs n free real estate at this point for storytelling/hcs. :/

Kinda makes more sense he started out just as a very excellent warrior. Was taken from his home and forced into service by shao kahn. He was forced to fight for outworld and given an opportunity to learn dark sorcery. Either that or risk death. Of course he chose the magic. But at a price of course.

The magic he learned and the gods he paid tribute to granted him very powerful magic at the cost of his own very soul. Thus making him almost immortal and impossible to kill truly.

Buuuuuut this also in turn forced him to collect souls to not only replenish his health but a never ending cycle of cheating death.

I like to think it was a combo of the fell god powers he worshiped and the elder gods that cursed him. He can't die thus enter the heavens. But he can't enter his gods dominion either. He is basically stuck. And if he does "die" he is sent to the void.

Which he can be brought back anytime via thru magic or other powerful beings (i.e kronikas bih ass)

Tho at first he probably needed to replenish the souls a lot more than of currently. I think this is due to him getting used to the magics effects.

In other words. Shang tsung can go longer without feeding on souls now than in his apprenticeship days. He can stretch out their use.

And he can do small "nibbles" at a soul so to speak. So its a slower process but it keeps you alive longer to have him feed at you. Without completely killing you.

Course he'd never do this to his beloved. Unless in dire circumstances but even then he's not so very keen on it.

Only his enemies have this "privilege" of having them being slowly drained like an iv drop,lol.

But shang doesn't get "THAT" drained easy. Otherwise he would have perished a long time ago.

On leisure,in my hcs,his souls i can muster an average of one lunar year per soul. 3 yrs max Stretch for one soul.

This can increase or decrease depending on other factors. But this is average

He can hold jars of 5,10,15,50,and 100 souls. Think of them like minor and max healing/energy potions in a game.

There are special and specific jars that hold certain beings,like other kombatants. Then there is some poor unfortunate souls(tm) which he uses to heal.

But on the flipside which is some cool shit.

Canonlly to my knowledge. He can also in return give back a soul. Heal. Bring back the dead. Etc.

So if he really wants to. He can legit bring back any character to life and restore it with a snap.....he just chooses not to.

But here's a really interesting thought. What if. Shang. Keeps certain souls not only to use them (this is shang,he is a bit self serving) or even heal himself (honestly thats not by choice so eh) but sometimes he just doesn't want them to leave his company? Like i hc shang gets lonely very very easy. And he has hella separation anxiety. But especially more so if he likes you.

I think maybe its his years of being in outworld,forced to serve shao khan. And basically live a life he never wanted in the first place.

Not to say he didn't want greatness,or to be the strongest warrior,nah that was always a dream and goal. But shang to me comes off a as a character forced to play a role he never wanted but said "fuck it,if I'm gonna be a mofo sorcerer,I'M GONNA BE THE BEST MOFO SORCERER YOU EVER SAW!"

Like i feel shang tsung could be "good(ish)" if he chooses to. It's just too damn easy for him to be sneky sneky. Because that's out of survival. Like bih is just lonely,sad,and depressed. But he lashes out,takes souls,and is the best magic man because he HAS NO CHOICE.

It's either get good or die (which is mortal kombat in a nutshell) and he chose to get gewd.

Growing old may also have been a fear growing up for shang. Maybe he had too many people he loved,cared about perish in his life before servitude.

Maybe that's also why turning to soul magic was so damn easy for him and why he excelled in it.

God there is so much potential storytelling for shang tsung!

But nobody's going to do it! Damn right NRS ain't doin it.

Again villains/antagonists aren't born. They are made. How was shang made into the gorgeous cobra we all know n love? What was his downward spiral? I neeeeeed to know people!

Whenever you would daydream in the middle of your classes or sit around with them, staying quiet around them, they joked and teased you. “Oh, thinking about Jade again?” – “I bet you are dreaming of some sweet kisses with your lover boy.” Those words always warmed up your cheeks, making you snap at your laughing friends.

Your hands shook nervously, as your breath shuddered at the warm touch you felt under your palms. For somebody, who usually lived underwater, his body was truly warm and bothered you. “I-I’m sure that you can solve your problem, Jade.” The said boy just shook his head, taking one of his hands away from yours, to put his thumb on your lip, smirking at you.

“Oh my, darling. Your face is red… Are you perhaps sick? Do you have a fever? Should I take a closer look at you? Nurse you, my dear?”

You pulled your hands away immediately, shaking your head, even if a small voice in the back of your head told you to say or scream ‘yes!’. “I don‘t have a fever! I am blushing! I mean… I have a fever… Forget what I said.” Of course, you couldn’t think around him. You just talked without thinking about your damn words in front of Jade! Jade, of all people! He will tease you and never stop ever again!

“Oh, you are blushing? That’s cute, my dear. But you always looked cute, no matter what. I just love your expressions a lot, you know?” You gulped, shaking your head as you stepped back. Away from the tall and teasing guy. Just far away. You had to go and leave him. You couldn’t do this anymore. How dare he to always make you feel like this!? (A Yandere AU of Lobotomy Corporation, where I turned a non-sentient organ into a tragic monster with abandonment issues. OOC—though I'm not sure if an inanimate object counts as a character—and fanon are to be expected.)

⸸ Imagine...rather than a sentient organ, T-09-77 was instead a creature that was very human in its mannerisms, behavior, and general anatomy.

⸸ The only catch was that his heart had ceased beating a long time ago.

⸸ Most likely, it would consider the organ an inconvenience more than anything else. In the first place, he never even needed a heart.

⸸ There were no oxygen nor nutrients in need of delivering, so there was essentially no reason for the organ to exist at all.

⸸ All it had ever done for him was cause discomfort, which humans might mistaken for 'heartbreak', but this sensation only ever left him void.

⸸ If something felt empty, barren of any warmth, pain, or feeling...could it still even be considered an 'emotion'?

⸸ The creature had thought of destroying it. In fact, he had done so many times in the past.

⸸ But he soon discovered that regardless of what he did—cut it, tear it apart, mince it, even eat it—his heart always, always returned. Like a malignant tumor, it would grow back inside his chest to deprive him of every sensation.

⸸ That was when the creature had an epiphany.

⸸ His heart wasn't actually an organ like it was for most humans. He shouldn't have even considered it in the first place since he wasn't one.

⸸ For him, it was naught but a symbol. It merely reflected his hopes, ambitions and dreams. His aspirations, you could say.

⸸ Except the creature had none of those.

⸸ The first time T-09-77 felt his heart beat, he couldn't believe it. For the first time, in a long, long time, he felt...alive.

⸸ The creature eventually realized that the cause of his heart's revival was a human he unintentionally grew attached to. He knew, because the warm feeling in his chest would vanish as soon as they leave, and this uncontrollable craving would take its place.

⸸ Alone in his containment unit, he would gnaw at his lips, bite his nails, peel off the skin on his fingers, scratch away at his skin—anything. Whatever he must do to satiate this craving .

⸸ He doubts he would ever feel numb again. This was worse. Now that he had experienced how it felt to be truly alive, how could he possibly return to the monotonous life he had before?

⸸ Alas, addiction was the closest thing the creature could feel to love.

⸸ Unfortunately for T-09-77, it cannot breach. Unlike the other Abnormalities, it lacked the strength to damage its containment unit. So he thought of a brilliant solution.

"What if I gave my heart to them instead? I would always be with them, in heart and spirit."

⸸ So, in a grand gesture of love, he used his sharp claws to cleave through his chest and rip out his heart for their darling.

⸸ He would then wrap his darling's hands around it. His bloodied hands would be just as red and warm as the still-beating muscles of his heart.

⸸ It would be his gift to them. One that they could never return.

⸸ And if they were to try and bring it back, or gods forbid, throw it away, well...wouldn't it only be fair to make his darling experience the same heartache as he would?
