Random Shameless headcanons I have for characters other than Ian and Mickey post-finale….

Fiona comes back to Chicago when Frank dies. She’s dreading it. Even though she misses her family like crazy, it’s hard coming back. She gets to the airport and nearly turns back around. She’s anxious the whole flight. But when she sees her siblings waiting for her at arrivals, she breaks down in tears. There’s a big family hug. She doesn’t stay for long but she’s glad she came. From then on, she returns often.

Debbie and Carl end up running the Alibi with Tipping. Debbie hosts an LGBTQ+ quiz night once a month and meets the love of her life at one of these nights. Carl may or may not end up having a bisexual awakening at a different one of these nights. Carl and Debbie work on a whole menu of cocktails that they name after their family and friends. They bicker a bit but they don’t fight. They find they actually work well together.

Svetlana has a comfortable life. She’s single for a long while, just focused on raising Yev. She works at a run-down Eastern European restaurant as a waitress and very quickly works her way up to manager. She turns the place around and one day is able to apply for a loan and buy the place. Now she spends her days running a tight ship - a well reviewed restaurant with a perfect health score - and some of her nights sipping an ice cold vodka at the bar, impeccably dressed. There may or may not be a beautiful, rich widow who woos her….

(Don’t hate me for this one) Lip and Tami end up moving to Milwaukee where they have another baby. It’s ok for awhile but then they break up. They move back to Chicago and co-parent well together even though the breakup is bad. They try dating other people casually. But they eventually fall back in love. It takes time and a lot of trying but they get there in the end. It’s very messy. But isn’t life?

Lip ends up staying with Ian and Mickey for awhile after the break up. Although they’re family and they love each other, it feels like forever for everyone.

Despite Tami and Lip breaking up, everyone treats Tami as family and nobody cuts her out of things or sides with Lip over her. Everyone is neutral and supportive. Lip is kinda amazed at everyone’s maturity. It makes him realise how much they’ve all grown up.

Liam is a straight A student. He does incredibly well in school. He has a lot of ambition and dreams. He wants to be a defence lawyer and do as much pro bono work as he can, he wants to be a doctor and work at a free clinic, he wants to get involved with politics and help speak for those who can’t. There’s a lot he wants to do, so he starts by doing a lot of volunteering at different organisations. Because of this his applications to college are amazing. He may or may not get his siblings into volunteering too.

Debbie gets a ‘franny’ tattoo on the top of her arm near her shoulder. It’s done from Franny writing her own name. It’s both very sweet and very cool.

Mandy comes back to Chicago after a bad breakup. She’s determined to build a good life. She misses Ian and Mickey but can’t find the strength to get in contact. She knows Terry is dead. So, she has a good job, a nice apartment. Everything’s going well and then she runs into Debbie. And…it’s nice. It’s nice to see Debbie happy and healthy and with a sweet kid. Debbie encourages Mandy to get in contact with Ian and Mickey but says she’ll keep her secret if she doesn’t want to.

She doesn’t have to. Mandy gets their address off Debbie and turns up at their apartment. It’s a lot emotionally. They have a long catch up session with alcohol, some very, very good weed (better than they ever had as teenagers) and takeout. There’s laughter and tears - mostly from Ian and Mandy but also from Mickey. Yes. They saw those tears. Stop lying. She stays close with them and Debbie.

Franny and Fred and Lip and Tami’s second kid have so much fun growing up together. They have sleepovers and days out and are close like siblings. They’re close to all the older Gallaghers but they idolise Liam and he’s their favourite. He teaches them fun facts and helps them with their homework.

Kev and Vee occasionally return to Chicago with the girls, they are doing well and they rent a big house on a lake and invite the Gallaghers. It becomes a tradition once a year. Usually Fourth of July so they can watch other people’s fireworks, get drunk and party. The kids have a great time swimming and exploring. The adults enjoy Ian and Mickey’s premium weed. There may or may not be midnight swimming and very drunken Marco Polo games.

Vee and Fiona meet up for a girls weekend once a year where they find a hotel with a spa and a bar. They end up inviting Debbie and Tami after a while. Lip jokes there should be a boys weekend but he can’t be bothered to organise it.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲,

So, growing up in the Gallagher family, man, it's been a wild ride. Let me break it down for ya. I've got a bunch of siblings, and each one's got their own quirks and dynamics with me.

First off, Fiona Gallagher, she's like the anchor that keeps my chaotic life from drifting into the abyss. Sure, we have fought like cats and dogs before, but underneath it all, there's an unbreakable bond of love and loyalty. She's the one who picks me up when I stumble, the one who pushes me to be better, and the one who always has my back, no matter what.

Then there's Lip. He's like my partner in crime, my right-hand man. We've been through so much together, and I can always count on him. We've had our fair share of fights, but at the end of the day, he's my brother and I love him.

Third is Debbie. She's the youngest female sibling, but don't let that fool ya. She's tough as nails and always got something up her sleeve. We've had our differences, but I'm always there to protect her when she needs it.

Next comes Carl. Man, that kid is something else. He's got this rebellious streak that I can't help but admire. We've had our fair share of adventures, and he's always got my back. We're like partners in crime, causing chaos wherever we go.

And last but not least, there's Liam. He's the baby of the family, and I feel this sense of responsibility to look out for him. We may not always see eye to eye, but I love that kid to death. I'll do anything to protect him.

Now, Mom and Dad. They're a whole different story. Frank isn’t my biological dad. Frank’s brother Clayton is actually my sperm donor. Frank was just the father I was stuck with. Frank, well, he's a mess. He's always causing trouble and dragging us into his schemes. It's frustrating, but I've learned to navigate around him. As for my mom, Monica, she's... complicated. We've had a rocky relationship, to say the least. I also am bipolar like Monica. It’s not always fun getting compared to her since we are both bipolar. She's come and gone so many times, it's hard to keep track. But she's my mom, and there was always a part of me before she passed that still hoped she would’ve get her act together.

Growing up in the Gallagher house, chaos was the name of the game. We were always scraping by, trying to make ends meet. The house itself was falling apart, but it was our home. And despite all the struggles, there was this sense of love and loyalty that held us together.

Living on the South Side, man, it's a whole different world. It's gritty, it's tough, but it's also a place where you find a sense of community. We've seen our fair share of violence, poverty, and injustice, but we've also seen resilience and strength. The South Side shapes you, molds you into someone who can handle anything that comes your way.

When Franny and Fred came into the picture, it was a whole new level of chaos. Becoming an uncle was both terrifying and exciting. I wanted to protect them from all the madness of our world, but I also wanted them to experience the love and craziness of the Gallagher family.

So, yeah, growing up in the Gallagher house and on the South Side, it's been a wild rollercoaster ride. But it's shaped me into the person I am today. And despite all the chaos, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

post-s11 Tami definitely gets tired of Lip and leaves him.

yes, I do like them as a couple, I think it is an interesting dynamic and that Tami is good for him honestly, even though they lived completely different lives and crash so many times because of it throughout the last seasons.

fact is Lip won't ever change and will keep making the same kind of mistakes and she will get fed up with it eventually. they'll go different ways, maybe keep a somewhat friendly relationship, and she will get a new partner and Lip will have a Sean kind of relationship with Fred: that kid is the most important thing in his whole life and he's constantly hunted by the fear of drinking again and hurting Fred.

When the whole Gallagher family goes to a Pride event in Chicago, young Freddie doesn't quite understand what the party is for. At this point Mickey's coming out is a family legend, and Franny tells him all about it.

I had a lot of fun with this @gallacrafts theme using mixed media arts. I didn't really intend to, but I also ended up with a short little fic from Freddie's pov.

It had been a long and exciting day for young Freddie Gallagher. He wasn’t quite sure what the big party was for but did know everyone was having a lot a fun, and he loved his new stuffed rabbit Uncle Carl gave him.

They started the day getting dressed in their brightest color clothes, and Daddy smearing sun screen all over him and his little brother. Then his whole family was over, there was a lot of loud talking, dishes banging, packing of backpacks, and face painting. Freddie was careful to hold real still while Aunt Debbie drew blue and red hearts on his cheeks.

After a crowed trip on the moving box, and making sure to hold Uncle Liam’s hand the whole time like Mommy said, they arrived to the biggest party he had ever seen. Lots of people everywhere, loud music, and so many colors, like all of Chicago had brought their art supplies out to share.

Uncle Ian was the most excited to be at the party, maybe it was for him or someone he knew? Uncle Mickey was playing make believe that he was grumpy, but kept looking at Uncle Ian like he his favorite toy. Freddie always felt love with his two uncles around, they were silly, fun, and helped each other.

Mommy was having fun sharing adult juice with Aunt Debbie and Sandy, the kind that always made them silly and wanting to dance together. Daddy was busy taking care of his little brother, and fixing the stroller that used to be his. His cousin Franny was tasked with looking after him, which he always liked, she was so cool. Daddy made sure they stayed close and had lots of yummy food from the taco ice cream truck.

Uncle Carl came and found them after lunch, he wasn’t dressed up in lots of colors, but his dark blue police clothes. What he did have where colorful toys, a light up bracelet for Franny and a stuffed rabbit for him. He talked to Daddy for a while then waved good bye, promising to find them before the show, even if Freddie wasn’t sure what kind of show they were going to see, he hoped it was his favorite cartoon.

Franny was very excited to be a part of Uncle Liam’s phone video, she showed off her color hair bows and her new bracelet while singing a song. He had been making lots of friends at the party, taking phone videos and talking to strangers was part of his school work he said.

It started to get dark, then his whole family was now pulling out blankets to sit on, everyone still acting silly and sharing more adult juice. Uncle Ian was the goofiest, giving Uncle Mickey lots of hugs and kisses. Mommy and Daddy were fussing over his brother, who was not happy to be at the party anymore. Uncle Carl came back so it must be time for the show, but there were no big screens like at the movies to watch a show.

Then the most amazing thing happened, a party started in the sky! Colors every where above him, and bigger than any show he had ever seen. Sitting next to Franny, unable to look away from the bright colors above he finally asked what he had been wondering all day.

“Why such a big party Franny?”

She then started to tell him the most amazing story he had ever heard, about another party long before he was born. How there were lots of mean and scary people who didn’t want Uncles Ian and Mickey to love each other, which was the silliest thing cuz they were very good loving each other.

“Then Uncle Mickey told everyone how much he loves Uncle Ian!”

That was the best part of the story for sure, he always knew Uncle Mickey was brave and took care of everyone in the family, including him. This big party really was for his favorite uncles and hearing how he amazing they were to love each other no matter what all he could say was.

Gallagher scrapbook 💗

My thought was that maybe Debbie made it with Franny ( the star, flowers and heart stickers are very Necessary in Franny's opinion ) to remember the family after moving out of the Family Gallagher home.

It’s just simple with Polaroids taken with Debbie's camera that took over the last year of the family as well as the custom Gallagher name sticker she made ( and the family one).

Some of the ‘polaroids’ are art that I've created before and put and some are new pieces that will post by themselves on a later date also I might create a gallvich wedding page or just ian and Mickey page.

WIP Wednesday Thursday

So... y'all remember a little thing called "Four Hours' Absence"? Chapter 5 has been in the works for a very, very long time. It's about halfway done, but it's just kind of been sitting there waving hello at me every time I open my Drive.

One of the problems is that I love this storyline so much that I really don't want to end it. 🙈 Another problem is that this is the fic that I work on whenever I'm in a really shitty mood. The problem is that every time I've been in a bad mood lately, I have been working through my problems instead of disassociating and writing as a way to run away from my problems.

Good for me, bad for this fic. Now I'm kind of faced with the challenge of maintaining the original cadence and flavor of this storyline while at the same time not putting myself in that same negative space I used to be in when I started it. It's proven to be harder than I thought it would be. 😆

Anyway, enough excuses. Here's part of the opening scene. 💕

Four Hours' Absence —Chapter 5

Cash sighs, “Goddamn, she’s beautiful.”

“Will you put down the fucking binoculars you look like a stalker.” Fred bats at the big end of the binoculars successfully knocking them from Cash's hands. They bounce off his knobby knees, managing to whack Fred’s ankle before they finally hit the rowboat’s floor.

Bemused would be a good way to describe Gabe’s expression, Cash waits for the insult he knows is coming. “Look? Freakazoid has been pining after that poor girl all summer.”

“Fuck you, Gabe!” Cash retaliates. “We’re not all lucky enough to find a fuck boy the day after a break up in the middle of East Bum Fuck Nowhere.”

“Call my boyfriend a fuck boy one more time…”

“Gentlemen,” Fred interrupts, the picture of austere mediation, “I think we can all agree Church Boy ain’t no one’s fuck boy.”

“Not true. We’ve gotten into some shit. Would’a gotten into some more if it wasn't for Dads.”

For a moment, Cash forgets his blood vendetta with his brother and cousin long enough to get the scoop. “Oh? How did Dads ruin your sex life this time?”

He watches Gabriel dig in the cooler for a can of Dr. Pepper and the pack of sunflower seeds they ganked from Unkip. He draws out the suspense by taking a few sips of soda and swirling the can around before starting in on his story.

“Ah, nothing much. Just me having the keys to Pops’ truck, so Steve and I were gonna sneak in the back seat for a little…” He bounces his eyebrows so he doesn’t have to say that part out loud, Cash wants to vomit. “So, there we are. Me and Steve. Against the side of Pops’ truck. Kissing. Pawing. I finally managed to get the damn door open. Fling the fucking thing wide open. And guess what I see?”

“Uncles.” Fred deadpans.

“Exact-a-mondo. Dad and Pops in the backseat. Shirtless, ‘cause fuck my life. And they’re both staring at me like I did something wrong. Motherfuckers, you’ve got a whole bedroom for that!”

Cash makes a gagging sound.

Fred snatches the bag of sunflower seeds outta Gabe’s hand. “SO unfair. Can’t tell you how many times Mom and Dad have fucked up my life like that. I’m constantly walking in on them on the breakfast counter. Fuckers, I eat there!”

Not to spam post at 12am but the first time Shameless made me cry was when Lip made that little tape in S2E11 telling that little baby that he's going to love him no matter what and that the kid can reach out to him whenever he wants and that he's so so so sorry that he has to give him up but he just wants a better life for him than he got and GOD. THIS BOY WANTS TO BE A FATHER SO BAD. BUT THE TIMING. AND THE GIRL. AND EVERYTHING'S WRONG. BUT FUCK ME FOR WANTING AN AU WHERE ITS LIP'S BABY AND HE KEEPS IT AND LOVES IT AND EVERYTHING TURNS OUT OKAY. 😭😭😭

Galladrables - Magazine

So many ways to interpret this weeks @galladrabbles fun word prompt. I'm usually an end of the week poster, so on time for me.

Aprils National Geographic had a cool story about seashores, and this just grew from it. Also was inspired by pervious galladrables from when we had so many great shots of Uncle Mickey helping out adolescent Fred. That relationship has to start somewhere. And of course I think Mickey would get a kick out of annoying Lip with how much Freddie likes him.

“Finally ready for bed kid?” arms crossed leaning in the doorframe.

After the third page of colorful pictures and facts about seahorses he’s passed out.
