Irene wakes up suddenly. There’s a presence that enters her space that wasn’t there when she went to sleep. The low creaking of the hardwood floor makes Irene sit up in bed as she carefully listens through the darkness of her room for the presence. The soft, careful footsteps are indicative of someone trying to be careful, but then a familiar scent carries into the room. 

“Wendy-ah.” She calls out to her mate, who is trying very hard to be quiet. It is hard for someone like Irene, who is sensitive to sounds, smells, and energies. 

There’s a brief pause before the door slowly creaks open. Irene reminds herself that she needs to put some WD-40 on the doors again. 

“I’m sorry, unnie,” Wendy softly apologises as she enters the room. She’s still in her scrubs. She looks like an exhausted resident with her hair in a messy bun and glasses perched on her face. Her pale skin is even more so in the darkness. 

Irene turns on the light on her side of the bed so that Wendy can see a path into the room. “Don’t apologize. It is late, shower, eat, then come to bed.” 

“I can’t,” Wendy says as she finds her way to the closet. “I have to put together the presentation tomorrow for M&M rounds that Dr. Shin is leading.” She doesn’t say anything as she rifles the the closet for her clothes. 

2:17 AM

It is late. Too late for Wendy to be up working after a 10 hour shift. Irene understands all too well the life of a resident. She was not that far removed from it and to be honest, hers was far more intensive by nature. 

“I’m sorry for waking you,” Wendy says coming out of the closet to Irene’s side of the bed. “Please try to go back to sleep if you can.” She bends down to kiss Irene’s lips. Irene isn’t quick enough to kiss back before Wendy makes a beeline for their bathroom. 

Irene doesn’t go back to sleep. When she wakes up, it is difficult for her to fall back asleep. So Irene gets up to go to the other room where her computer is to check her emails and find any updates on pinned surgical techniques she keeps tabs on. She reads a few articles before she smells a familiar red flavor. 

Wendy makes ramyeon, the cracked egg and fresh green onion pulls Irene from the office. Irene grabs her tablet and goes to the living room where she sees Wendy spread her laptop, books, and backpack out on the coffee table. She makes her way over with the pot and an extra short bowl with chopsticks. It’s an apology for waking Irene up. Irene takes it, sitting beside Wendy on the floor and taking a small portion so that Wendy can eat the rest. 

Wendy doesn’t register Irene, focusing on eating and reading whatever is on her screen. Irene doesn’t bother her either, having no interest in the M&M topic that Shin brings to the table. It is redundant and tired of a conversation. And to be honest, Wendy doesn’t need to work that hard on it. When Irene finishes her small bowl, she cleans it up and takes her seat in the single chair near the window to read. 

The only sounds that fill the room are Wendy’s chopsticks against the pot, the quiet slurps of her noodles, and tapping of her keyboard. After awhile the eating stops, but the typing continues with the occasional pen scratching against the paper. Irene isn’t bothered, the sounds are low enough for her to be able to ignore. Even when Wendy starts to hum, Irene isn’t bothered because Wendy’s voice is smooth, soft, melodic, it’s beautiful. 

Irene doesn’t consider the time in the presence of her mate, only passively following the patterns of Wendy’s behavior as she reads whatever article is on her tablet. At one point, the tapping stops and the humming ends. Irene picks up her head to see Wendy passed out on the coffee table, hand still holding on to her pen and highlighter on the page. 

4:08 AM

Irene stops reading upon seeing her mate sleeping soundly on the coffee table. It isn’t a comfortable position to be in for a long time, but she knows Wendy can fall asleep anywhere when she’s exhausted. She isn’t interested in waking Wendy up, the resident needs her sleep, and the presentation is most likely done. Irene sets her tablet aside and makes her way to Wendy, carefully peeling her from the table to pick up, bridal style. 

As she does, Wendy curls towards her automatically, arms around her neck, face into the crook of her neck. A small moan escapes her lips. 

Irene carries Wendy into the bedroom and slips her under the covers. Wendy burrows herself underneath the warmth of the comforter and breaths in their mixed scent until a satisfied sigh comes out. Irene feels satisfied to see her mate rest fitfully. She pulls the covers over Wendy’s shoulders until she’s comfortably nestled in. Upon seeing Wendy tucked nicely in their blanket, Irene starts to feel tired too. So she climbs in on her side of the bed facing Wendy. Irene stares at her mate, breathing in her soft scent, and listening to the regular rhythm of her breathing. It sets her heart at ease and eventually, Irene succumbs to sleep again.

Anyways, have some Toga and Iliana doodles too for a fic that does not yet exist. It is just chaos. Iliana gets struck by the Isekai and winds up a century or two before Inuyasha is born, and ends up surviving and making a little home in a cave in some mountains. Girl doesn’t speak the language. Gets her clothes from some dead humans that were killed by demons. But one day she leaves her cave and just- finds the Inu no Taisho bleeding out right outside.

She has concerns. He is slightly “grr” towards Humans since he hasn’t met Izayoi yet. Very sus of Iliana’s intentions. Very quickly realizes she’s a bit of a goofball and is fun to tease. Especially after he learns she knows who he is once he gives his name- as that’s really the only thing she understands.

Iliana did not realize she was in the series until after Toga reveals his name and confirms he is, in fact, the Inu no Taisho. She is horrified. Unfortunately, it’s too late for her to ditch Toga now. 👀 His interest has been piqued.

She went out of her way to help him, a demon, despite being human and knowing next to nothing of the language. She is now a very interesting human, and he is not about to let her escape.

Toga gives off such strong Inuyasha vibes despite having Sesshomaru’s eyes 🤣 It’s killing me. It’s so cute.

I've sent in interactions for Avery with Slyvan and Iris before. I think both of them would want to befriend Avery for the same reason, but perhaps with different ways of going about it? They just see a cute angry boy and go: Wow! :D That's so cute. But whereas Slyvan is all smiles and offering gifts, Iris chooses to tease the poor boy instead.

We both already know how Violet thinks of Vance. 😶 There's potential for a genuine friendship though! Once Vance stops being such a chaotic troublemaker and Violet learns to let a few things slide. Wyn would totally get along with Vance though! Their cheerful energy would bounce off each other so well! Though Vance's fourth wall breaks do scare Wyn sometimes.

Reading Merrill's personality and unique magic again...Iris would be drawn to him like a magnet. He's flirty, mysterious, and somehow knows the juiciest romance gossip in NRC? She'll be eagerly looking for any chances to talk to him. Perhaps they'd get along really well, perhaps Merrill would find her exhausting. Either way, he's not getting rid of her for a while. 🤭

Allen and Mia would get along like a house on fire. Cheerful and energetic boy, always smiling? Mia would like to know your location. She doesn't even mind that much when he does something wrong and claims he didn't know it was wrong either. She actually believes him when he says that! Zoya tries to be friendly and teasing with everyone she meets, and she might double down on Austin because he actually fights back. She loves a good challenge. Wyn is another one that would try and befriend Austin! He thinks Austin might just be shy or has trust issues, so he tries his best to seem trustworthy! Violet and Minnie are 🤝 constantly are we know it. Their energies are almost completely similar so it's safe to say they'd make a great team! (Aajsaiodiandi I can imagine Minnie and Violet scolding Vance and Seth now- 💀)

Aurora has taken an interest to Hayden, as he seems to change his personality depending on who he's talking to, so the poor boy will have a mini panic attack whenever they approach him now.

Xenon and Riley superiority, that's all I have to say on this relationship. I think Duran wouldn't mind hanging out around Riley either, as long as he stays quiet and doesn't draw any 'fans' over.

With time and effort, perhaps Chandani and Blythe could be friends! As of now though, Chandani sympathizes for her poor vice dorm leader in silence. Perhaps she'll bring her a snack to relax one day.

Aurora would be drawn to Seth at first, finding him to be super interesting and fun! He's already 18, but he's only a first year? How odd. They'd start to find him annoying once he shows more and more of his main character syndrome though, finding him to be too self-absorbed to get along with. Xenon would also find him interesting, but prefer to observe him from afar. Maybe he'll find out more about Seth than everyone else watching him from behind the scenes.

Irene lets out a haughty chuckle. “Well, someone has to save you.” 

Wendy whips her head to look at Irene, who has a smug look on her face. “I do NOT need you to save me.” She rolls her shoulders. “I can save myself.” 

Irene hums. “Say that to little miss princess over here.” 

The young princess Chaewon looks so confused at the two women who are dressed in black. They look like bodyguards, can fight like bodyguards, but something about their demeanor does not scream bodyguards. Wendy is dressed in a nice black leather jacket with a ripped gray tee and black jeans and combat boots, while Irene is dressed in a black blazer and black tank top and black skin tight leather pants and flat sneakers. 

“How did you even get into this--” 

“SHUT UP?!” The kidnapper screams as he holds up his rifle, still pointing it at Wendy. He has listened to the pair bicker since Irene came sauntering into their hideout. It was bad enough Wendy had suddenly showed up mid transport. “HOW DID YOU GET HERE?” 

His frantic yelling causes Irene and Wendy to send each other a glance. They know that he’s lost control of the situation. Irene stares at Wendy pointedly.

How do you want to get out of this?

I haven’t thought that far. 

Irene rolls her eyes at Wendy’s readable expression. “After all these centuries,” she shakes her head. “Hey, kidnapper,” she casually addresses with a tilt of her nose. “Point your gun at me. What are you waiting for?” 

Wendy’s eyes go comically wide. “Excuse me?” Even the kidnapper stares in disbelief because Irene’s tone isn’t pleading to save the love of her life, she sounds rather bored.

“I said someone has to save you,” Irene repeats herself rather arrogantly. She stands up straight. “I can take the bullet this time.” There’s a smug look on her face. “Again.”

Wendy scoffs in disbelief. “Oh, shut up, I can take the bullet this time. You really act as if I need saving all of the time.” 

Irene shrugs. “You’re a princess, you always need saving.” Wendy is about to argue when--

“I SAID SHUT UP! WHY DO YOU KEEP BICKERING?” The kidnapper yells in distress and suddenly the rifle goes off with a loud BANG.

Irene flinches at the loud sound and sharp tear in her skin. “OW!” She grabs the bleeding hole in her stomach. 

“Unnie!” Wendy yells, startled that the kidnapper actually shot Irene. 

Irene groans as she looks at the blood on her hand from her wound. “God, he used a full metal jacket.” She glares at him. “You’re military AND you’re kidnapping the princess?” She looks offended at him and turns to Wendy. “I’m not letting him go alive.” She holds up her fists and rushes towards the kidnapper.

Wendy grimaces. “NO! Jagiya, we are not killing anyone this century!”

but when he’s observant with someone, then that totally means you’re special to him. does he realize how much he pays attention to you? hmm.. maybe?

he’s going to be the first one that notices you’re hungry, even if you don’t realize it yourself. he’s quick to grab a snack and break it open to you

same thing with being thirsty— if he notices that your water bottle is empty, he’ll quickly find the nearest vending machine and buy a bottle.

temperature is also no problem. he can immediately tell whenever someone’s cold; but he usually helps you first

too hot? he’s slowly putting down the room’s temperature

too cold? his left palm starts emitting some sort of heat in your direction, hoping it creates some sort of aid

if your shoelaces are undone, and/or he notices that there’s a button undone on your shirt— he’ll fix it for you

will ask to take your pictures on dates, and he’ll also help you pick out the best photo (not that any photo of you is short of any beauty)

in short— people will notice that he’s actually a big simp for you; because of how observant he is with you specifically.

— THE TSUNDERE SIMP

just because he’s simping for you doesn’t mean he’ll treat you any differently. bakugou will be bakugou, and you eventually learn how to adapt to that.

but even so, his simp habits slip out sometimes.

when he’s cooking, he’ll accidentally make too much to eat, and he’ll coincidentally put the extras in another box and hand it to you

he’s a good student, even with studies. but would he say he’s a good teacher? hm. probably not

but if he notices you need help, he’ll sigh, feining annoyance as he decides to tutor y’all, because those ‘idiots’ are hopeless

rolls his eyes when he sees food on your cheek, but he’ll grab a tissue and wipe it off for you— claiming how you’re so messy.

he’ll act like he hates hearing your ‘annoying ass singing’ but he’ll lean against the doorway and listen to you rock out to whatever song you’re singing to.

denki will call him a simp for looking after you, and bakugou will just yell at him to “SHUT UP” >:T

he secretly likes taking care of you. his words aren’t the softest thing in the world, but his actions make up to it.

as katsuki bakugou would call him; he is a nerd

he definitely meant that as an insult, but his input on detail makes it very useful in things like relationships

he remembers every detail of your quirk, your limits, potential secret moves.

it would’ve been stalker-ish, if it weren’t for the fact that deku does this out of admiration for his s/o

so if you so happen to collapse due to overusing your quirk— deku has a detailed plan on what to do. it’s almost scary.

he puts detail in a lot of things, anniversary gifts, birthday gifts, and so on.

deku’s also the type to plan things weeks before it actually happens. like.. planning out the perfect birthday gift

and with this, his memory is really good. so it’s very unlikely that he’ll just suddenly forget anniversaries and birthdays.

i hc deku as a bad cook, so he eats takeout food more than his homemade food

but he’s takes note of your allergies, your dislikes with food— and he finds himself mumbling small details to recall what you like

when you walk out in pretty/good outfits for dates

his face will break out into shades of red— suddenly rambling all the good details of your outfit, complimenting you while he’s at it

“y/n’s looks fantastic as always. i might die from their beauty”

if anyone calls him a simp, he’ll be really embarrassed about it. “me? a s-simp? is that a bad thing?”

i didn’t really know what kinda name i went for this one but let me carry on

kiri upfront is very confident, and friendly. he never shows a mean side to anyone,

he’s kinda almost like a golden retriever? since he’s always nice and friendly to everyone

but then when you enter the room; he suddenly goes quiet, and he’s left alone with his rather loud thoughts about you

he didn’t really know how to properly approach you at first

but him being kiri, he’s still rather friendly to you (for now)

when he’s messing around, practically sharing one braincell with kami and sero

and then you suddenly walk in— he snaps out of his foolishness, and greet you with his very warm smile

“hey y/n!” he waves at you, and he hopes you don’t mention the teasing look on both kami and sero’s face

sometimes when he’s doing his close combat training, and he notices that he’s getting too close to you

he’ll be like “woah man, maybe we should move locations.” bc he doesn’t wanna hit you by accident ;;

kirishima prefers to not stand near you when his hair is all spiky. like he’s never conscious about it, until he’s around you

man poked sero with his hair before, and he doesn’t want to do that to you

kiri always looks at your hand, just to see if it’s occupied with something. his thoughts linger to what your hand might feel like

“their hand looks really.. soft. argh! i shouldn’t be thinking about these kind of things in public! im sorry y/n”

bakugou really only notices kirishima’s simping ways

bakugou always mentions the fact that kirishima goes really silent whenever you’re around—

and he’s secretly contemplating on having you around more so he can just shut up 。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

moving aside all of that, kiri always carries your things.

you’ll beg him to give you at least one thing, and he’ll say no because it’s “not manly to let someone carry all of this.”

if you’re sad, he’s the first one to cheer you up— reassuring you that everything will be okay.

— THE DISCREET SIMP

no one would be able to tell that he’s simping for someone

because unlike kaminari; he’s not like IM HITOSHI SHINSO AND IM ACTUALLY A SIMP

he’s a lot more discreet, and no one has really caught on, besides you and kaminari of course

he’s a lot less sarcastic with you, asking you about anything that’s happened instead of just being there

he prefers it to hear you talk. the way each word and syllable rolls off your tongue smoothly, and the way you use your hands to emphasize things

he’s amused.

oh and the way he looks at you? almost any normal person can sense the simp in him pop out (he’s so contained though)

he’s definitely the person that’ll get rid of any bug that’s terrifying you— even though he’d normally just leave it to them

My brain just came up with the goofiest idea involving Uncle Saizo. Like, dude probably tries to avoid Shion and Midori at first because *awkward* and he doesn’t really know how to deal with kids, not to mention he and his brother aren’t exactly the closest pair of twins to exist. But then.

Irene just sort of makes him hold Midori and she tries to get the girls to call him Uncle, and Saizo is having none of it and is trying to hand Midori off to Kaze- but then Midori looks up at him with big doe eyes and the cutest of smiles and just goes, “Uckle!” and some part of Saizo’s cold stony heart just melts.

And when Kaze finally tries to take Midori from him, Saizo just kind of turns to glare at him and tells him to hold Shion instead, because “Midori isn’t letting go”. Kaze is amused, because he knows what’s going on, but doesn’t point it out for he knows that if he does, Saizo will stop holding Midori.

Also later!!! When the girls are slightly older, Shion learns how to make flower crowns and tries to put one on Uncle Saizo’s head.

He starts to refuse, but she starts getting all teary-eyed and he reluctantly wears it. Does not say a word about where it came from (everyone’s already figured it out) but he’s walking around with it on for the rest of the day and anyone who tries to comment on it gets a death glare. Just. The most tsundere of uncles. Will not admit he cares but very clearly does based on his actions.

Also if he hears anyone badmouthing his nieces or threatening them he will appear from the shadows and scare the perpetrator into submission or running away.

If they ever have to work together on something, she'll try her best to be friendly though!

Irene: Empathetic curiosity on! His backstory, his UM, why he's so prickly about 'pretty' people, she's curious! But of course, she doesn't push him to talk about it right away, focusing on befriending him first. She isn't deterred by his tsundere behavior, if anything she finds it cute! He'll find himself warming up to her before he knows it!

Allen Snowhill

Mia: He seems nice! She'll be wanting to befriend him, and is more than happy to talk about whatever he wants! I can imagine them taking care of animals together, with Allen just wanting to pet them, and Mia wanting to study their behavior a little bit. ^v^

Irene: What a sweet child, but there's a bit of an intense aura to him...She's nice for the most part, but she interacts with him with a cautiousness that's reserved for people she has a bad feeling about. Allen hasn't done anything wrong just yet, so she gives him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Roland Thorn

Mia: She might just have him adopt her as a little sister figure! UvU But yeah, she really likes how he tries to be responsible and reliable for his underclassmen. He's pretty laid-back too! Hopefully he doesn't lecture her too much when one of her experiments blows up (again), she'll feel really bad otherwise.

Irene: Again, empathetic curiosity on! Why doesn't he like to talk about his UM? Why does he wear an eyepatch? Are the rumors about his past true? She befriends him out of care and concern, and maybe to sate her curiosity. He isn't so bad to hang around either.

Jay Polley

Mia: Ooh, fellow curious fellow! She'd definitely be trying to befriend him whenever she can, and probably finds his polite demeanor super cute. He can help her learn more about human culture, and in return she'd help him learn more about merfolk!

Irene: He reminds her of Chandani actually. He's a very nice boy, and she finds herself taking him under her wing almost instantly. Hopefully he likes having an older sister figure?

Ashley Leroll

Mia: This 'Angel' dorm leader sure is a weird person! She doesn't mind befriending Angel, but finds their strange tendencies a little too much to handle sometimes. But when she is in the mood for Angel's eccentricity, they get along very well!

Irene: Angel is a little too energetic for her to handle for long, but she's still friendly with them for the most part. There are times when she's in the mood to discuss conspiracy theories with them though!

Blythe Whitney

Mia: Blythe seems nice, but...boring. :( She's friendly with Blythe, but finds it hard to connect with her over their differences. The bunny girl is too stiff and anxious for her to properly have fun around.

Irene: This poor girl. Irene feels sympathetic for her, especially if Blythe decides to tell them about how her dorm stresses her out. They would love to be friends with her, and maybe convince her to give her dormmates a piece of her mind at some point. Can't have Blythe making herself too stressed now.
