The which happens to be esepcially true down among Trollkindom; after all, Troll worship of Nature could be considered animist.

You write porn and you call yourself a devout Hindu? Hypocrisy is ultimate
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Where do you think the Kama Sutra, Geeta Govinda, Ratirahasya, etc. come from, my good bitch?
Who's got the temples with erotica that will make you clutch your pearls, my good bitch?
I'm a Hindu and I literally worship the act of sexual union between my God and Goddess. Do not come at me with your small minded, puritanical, half-baked attitudes about sex and my religion. You're just showcasing your stupidity and lack of knowledge.
Besides, I'll write whatever the fuck I want.
Be gone.

Okay, a few years back I made this graphic to explain the Great Cycle. Now that I've mulled over DD2 for a few days, I'm updating it. Some of the same assumptions as before remain: The Dragonforged fought the dragon, his weapon broke, he tried punching it (lmao), but he did survive without killing the dragon, possibly there was a second Bargain offered in the face of his determination. So you don't have to kill your dragon to survive it. Also still assuming that different classes become different types of drakes because I just like that detail, even though we see nothing to confirm it in DD2 (except maybe for the wyrms in the post-game, I hope that's what those are, just a bit redesigned).
But this time, I'm making some NEW assumptions: A Great Dragon can be manifested directly by the Seneschal's will (I'm guessing this is why our DD2 dragon doesn't have a name, I suspect this dragon was created after Rothais defeated his - he didn't become a dragon OR Seneschal so it had to come from somewhere). The challenge a Seneschal poses to the Arisen can be anything; Savan gave us the opening of the Everfall and unleashed a ton of powerful monsters upon the world; but Pathfinder gave us what the world would look like without a Seneschal to oversee things. My assumption is that the Colossal Dragon that appears out of that final red pillar of light IS the Pathfinder (possibly using his will to force order back upon the world) and when we kill it, our Arisen becomes Seneschal (because Pathfinder says he won't be there to see the new world that's forming). So the challenge can be anything, not just the Everfall. I'm curious what happens to our pawn after that fight, though. And it's a much better Seneschal fight than the one against Savan, sorry Savan.
I'm also assuming that (given we see the Pathfinder rewind time and rewrite the world) the Seneschal can simply will the world into a state of being that suits them. This includes wiping memories of events. Though I like to imagine that our Arisen-turned-Seneschal didn't wipe memories of themselves or of the apocalypse-world. There was an entire plotline going through this game with Rothais and Phaesus where mortals are trying to get rid of the Seneschal and so it makes sense that they need to remember what would happen without the Seneschal's presence.
Anyway, thanks. I'll probably have more thoughts later, but this is the part that gets me most. I like to know how things work so I wanted to sort the Cycle out.

Nobody:
That one guy from the awful fever dream that was the movie God's Not Dead:
Tumblr media
I hate those films so much, one was already too many but there's four of them? I can't believe I used to actually like the first one, I would rather be strapped to a chair and forced to watch The Last Airbender for 24 hours straight in a pair of jeans that someone is constantly throwing water onto every hour to ensure they never dry than watch any of the God's Not Dead movies.

test to see if i'm anon-blocked 👍 (so sorry if this is annoying,, i'm the anon who sent my opinion on skystar that one time [shitty person, good villain, if they wanted to give him a redemption arc they should've done it properly] and i'm worried i articulated it badly and got blocked lmao)
LMAO no don't worry you're fine. You have to be REALLY annoying to get anon-blocked. I think I deleted that ask a while back tho since it wasn't relevant.
To be fair tho I think that a Skystar redemption arc is like, inherently a bad idea because he's such a good villain, if that makes sense. He's a hooooorrible person and that's what makes him so good at causing conflict.
Power doesn't corrupt; Power reveals. When someone gets power, you see what they always wanted to do with it. What Skystar wanted to do was control the people below him. His mates, his subordinates, even his family. He's too fragile to handle disrespect and his behavior is rooted in deep insecurity, which he justifies as "concern for everyone's safety and well-being"
But he's obviously full of shit. He's not concerned for anything besides himself-- he wasn't concerned for the well-being of Jagged Peak, or Fox or his brother who was being mauled by him under Sky's orders, or his son, or Frost, or Jackdaw's Cry, or Rainswept Flower...
And it's why the narrative wets itself with the "redemption arc" where Clear Sky continues to be the same goddamn person he always was. StarClan saying, "Clear Sky was bad because he was scared of death :( But don't worry we exist so you don't need to be afraid anymore :) Atheism was why he was evil :)" was laughable.
There is no reason Clear Sky would ever want to change, unless he lost all power and was materially not going to benefit from being the person he was anymore.

There must be something about Trolls and paddleboards
Particularly when you've got mystical creatures so close to Nature as it gets and plenty of springs, creeks and bayous (not to mention their likely backwaters) around Troll County, somewhere close to the American South as I understand it ... and when two and two come together essentially, Trolldom, in its desire for introllconnecting unto Nature such as is their blood, can't help but find paddleboarding as introllesting as it can get.
In the particular case of those trollmantics, Blitz Lumpkin and Pixlee Trollsom, you just can't help but find plenty of incentive for as much trollventure as trollmance in some backwater paddleboard trollsperience, especially considering where
for the most part, Troll-type paddleboards are made of groundfall wood, never mind such being as long and as big as a typical old-school Hawai'ian surfboard such as was reserved for the use of royalty and chieftains;
warm summer days can't help but call for wearing but one's troll self on a paddleboarding excursion, whereas the slightly-chilly Southern winters will call for a light sweater and sweat pants in such a scenario;
it's not all that uncommon to pack just enough for maybe an overnight paddleboard trollventure to some backwater troll settlement, being surprised to find the locals themselves also into paddleboarding (especially on narrower creeks and bayous); and
such paddleboards that Blitz and Pixlee are fond of are those as can support both on a typical such paddleboarding trollventure--with Flooky, their pet drawg, sometimes joining along (and who knew drawgs could paddleboard as well?)
And with such companionship trollveturtous that Blitz and Pixlee happen to have, you can just bet that plenty of paddleboarding trollventures can get to be rather unpredictably fascinating in their own way. Which is pretty much the case among Trolldom down that way, knowing just how well outdoor adventure sport can help strengthen the natural troll bonds to Nature....

pathetic profile. probably just a retarded sodomite or an obese feminist. why atheists always think they're geniuses for believing in the wind and monkey theories? lol
You seem nice. Is this what the love and peace of your religion and the comfort of being blessed by your god looks like?
Tell me more about how your religion is the source of morality and makes you a better, more caring, more fulfilled person. I'd enjoy a hearty laugh.
More specifically, it appears to have made you someone who doesn't understand the world around them and has to substitute "faith" (pretending to know) for actually knowing. Because apparently "magic space wizard casting spells to himself" is a better explanation than decades and centuries of rigorous scientific exploration. The kind that puts masturbating to shame-porn and trolling atheists on the other side of the world - or trying to - a mere tap away. But, you know, science, schmience, right?
You can just say "I don't understand science and the world scares me and I want my magic stories and my binky." We know what you mean.
When you don't understand the world, everything seems like magic.
As you've very well demonstrated, religion retards the intellectual development of its adherents to the limitations of the primitive people who wrote it. Your statement only makes sense in a world where the Earth is flat, the stars are lights in the dome of the sky, and snakes and donkeys can talk. That's when your ideas about the world were formed.
When people ask me why I don't have a religion, I'll show them you, and they will understand. Because if this is how you attract people to your beliefs, then it's no wonder people are leaving these ignorant superstitions in droves.
Keep doing what you're doing. Keep being who you are. Keep doing all........ this.
The world will be atheist in no time.

Murmur: Things you wouldn’t hear on “Songs of Praise”! Yuki: Well, the followers here at the Omekata Temple have given me a tremendous welcome! Today, we have our act of worship and tomorrow, they’re burning me in a Wicker Man! Minene: “Hello, I’m Father Fred Haiman and I’m an alcoholic!” Karyuudo: The parishioners will now go forward to receive communion, if they can get past Atlas and Predator! Yomotsu: That was beautiful...! Such a shame there’s no one actually up there to have heard it...

Similarly--can I read TM's fic without learning anything about H*mestuck (corollary, should I)
For the oneshots, I would say absolutely you can read them no extra info required. She has some random john/karkat and dave/terezi and I think one about jade that are basically just, slice of life stories with angst in the background. All you need to know is there are aliens and they're in love with various human characters, and something bad has happened to their home planet. For serendipity gospels. Hmm. I read that fic before reading homestuck and it made homestuck more comprehensible. Take that as you will. SHOULD you read it? Well it certainly, has flavor. I mean if you absolutely cannot stand A) long unfinished fics B) long passages in the internet speak of the early 2010s (much like the memes in gtn there is a point to it but whether you find it readable is up to personal taste) and C) the infamous troll romance quadrants (which she basically treats like an outdated social code the characters can't get past) then no you should not. I'm trying to summarize it and coming up short but basically, two aliens have a strange and violent romance for 130k words and tazmuir commits to the clown religion bit harder than anyone has ever committed to the bit

hi it’s the anon who asked if the fae were a religious thing!! i asked because i grew up thing so 😅 many people in my life (and online) would say it was exclusive to paganism and i never bothered to question it. ty for the info!!
I figured as much!
As someone who has done a lot of study into paganism and the fae: there's a lot of overlap! And like I said I know they're part of some current practices, so it's not that they aren't religious it's just that they aren't exclusively religious. They're a race of people. People I genuinely fear regardless of how real I may think they are.
As a rule I don't really trust that anything is "exclusive" to anything else in regards to folklore. Humans love stories so much there's always going to be overlap when religion also comes into play.
