ー jade, azul, and floyd react to you joining the waitstaff at mostro lounge
content: gn!insert + headcanons - can be read as platonic or romantic (or frenemy like) ask box (rq box) more under the cut!!!
ー Jade Leech :
Jade doesn't recall you "wronging" him, his brother, or their Housewarden. In fact, he's going through all of the interactions you've ever had with him... trying to think why you would join the waitstaff.
When you reveal that you just need money for school funds, he stares at you with a bit of shock. Hardly anyone comes to the lounge and asks for a job. Though... he doesn't mind the forwardness from you.
It's refreshing to receive a straightforward answer actually.
However, he gives you a smile and nods: "Money? I suppose we can form... a small contract. Nothing our Housewarden would give. Just an agreement form."
Basically; job interview, mild paperwork, then training.
Jade personally trains you, he takes you right under his wing and teaches you everything you need to know about waiting on people, making drinks, and even making bigger sales for the lounge.
Jade believes you're most talented at being a host. He enjoys your smile and the small talk you make with the customers. Even when you bring the guest their waters, Jade knows he trained you well.
When he's on the clock, you're usually the host. Seating people, getting waters... all of that. Jade will give you the occasional stare, trying to figure out how much of a panic or relaxed mode you're in.
When you're doing very well, he gives you a wink... signaling that a big tip from him is coming your way.
Working with Jade? It's smooth sailing for you.
ー Azul Ashengrotto :
When Jade first told Azul that he hired you for your claim of "money". He actually laughed at first, but then he quickly realized that Jade wasn't laughing... so this is serious.
Azul is intrigued by you being so forward with this, he admires it actually! On your second day on the job, he pays you a personal visit.
He takes you to one of the farther tables in the lounge and has a quick chat with you.
"For the money? Truly? (y/n) you never cease to amaze me. I would love to learn more about what goes on in that other worldly head of yours..." Azul almost has a wicked grin.
He assures you, that this 'contract' is just a normal work contract, however if you do not give in your two weeks before you quit? It won't end pretty.
Azul comes by the lounge to check up on you a lot, making sure your work is up to his standards... and of course it is! You're being personally trained by Jade. His expectations are always met through you.
He enjoys your hard work, he's even generous enough to give you a raise on your paycheck. Which was surprising for even Jade.
Azul believes you work best as one of the baristas'/bartenders.
When he comes in, he always enjoys a cup of your coffee. Jade's coffee is always his #1 pick, but he also enjoys the flavor of your's.
Every time you make him a drink, he always leaves you a tip. Which you're quick to learn... he doesn't do that too often.
ー Floyd Leech :
Floyd wasn't present during your week of training, Jade said he was busy with his own affairs... that's why Jade was the sole person training you (blessing in disguise... more likely than you think!)
When he saw you waiting on a table, he went right to Jade and asked what you were doing here. Jade was happy to tell him that they got another worker!
Floyd is excited to hear that, and it's also you! Floyd always loves teasing you between classes, or even enjoying the small malicious chats with you.
He chats you up a lot on the job, constantly talking to you about how the job can suck, be great, or violent.
Floyd's stories about throwing out rude guests always makes you laugh hard. It doesn't matter if you have a table, you always enjoy a good laugh from him.
Overtime, Floyd shows up to work more when he's schedule to work with you. He know he can lean on you a lot when you're on the clock with him!
He believes you excel most as a waiter. Maybe it's because he slacks off, or he just enjoys the company with you.
Floyd loves how he can gossip about the customers with you. For once, he's not playing too many 'pranks' or teasing you as much.
You just pray he doesn't get bored of you, he might actually pull something... horrible during work.

F*ck me like I’m famous
Warnings: phone sex, implied sex, alcohol, swearing, fluff, Vince being a sad boy.
Sorry this has taken so long. I struggled through the phone sex part, so if it sucks. Please be nice to me. Thanks to @cellythefloshie and @jostyriggslover96 for talking me through it.
Enjoy, let me know what you think🤍
Tumblr media
J:How’s Canada?
V:Oh you know, Canada is Canadian.
J:Not having fun?
V:I am. But I miss you a little. Not a lot though.
She giggled a little, biting her lip, before she answered.
Vince had left for Canada the week after their official first date. They’d spent every night together until he went home, leaving Josie here in St. Louis. It had been pretty sad, and Josie realized how much she liked him now that he was gone. The days had drug on, and they’d been making it work on the phone, talking when they were able, and nightly FaceTime calls. It was pretty unfortunate though if she was being honest. The most pivotal time in a relationship where you really get to know someone was being done through a phone screen. It had been tough to start, but smooth sailing for the past week. She would be heading to Ontario on Saturday afternoon and staying till the following Sunday. She was excited to see him but also nervous.
J:You miss me, or you miss my lady parts? Cuz she misses you too.
V:Jesus Christ.
J:Your gonna need him when I get to Lindsey next week.
V:🤣🤣🤣no I think that’s you.
J:Oh yeah?
V:Oh yeah. You should start praying now so you can get used to being on your knees.
Josie choked on her water and her whole body shivered.
After having sex everyday for the last two weeks or so, going without it for two weeks sucked. They’d exchanged some flirty banter but this was escalating. The more time Josie spent with him, the more things she learned about herself. And this was a new thing.
J:I’ll get on that right after I get off of you.
V:Just come now. I’ll pay to change your plane ticket.
J:No can do. I still have to finish packing.
V:So what are you doing? Besides tormenting me.
J:Just organizing my underwear drawer for my trip. What’s your favorite color?
She followed it up immediately with-
J:Nevermind. I think I’ll just go without them for the week.
And then her phone buzzed and Vince’s face appeared on the screen.
She answered on the third ring, shaking with laughter.
“Hello?”
“Are you fucking kidding me???” He whispered angrily on the other end of the phone.
“Vince hi!” She said cheerily “What brings you to call me so late in the evening?”
“What brings-you know what.” He was quiet and let out a long breath. Josie felt almost bad.
Almost.
“Are you okay?” She asked.
“No I am not. And it’s your fault.”
“Me?!” She giggled “What did I do?”
“You know what you did.” He mumbled.
She could just imagine him sitting hunched over, arms crossed, pouting so she decided to help him out a little. She bit her lip and took a deep breath.
“You know.” She said softly “I’m not wearing any underwear.”
He was very quiet on the end of the phone but she could hear some movement before he spoke “Really?”
“Mhmmmmmmm.” She wasn’t actually wearing any underwear, just a large T-shirt she’d acquired from his room over the course of the last two weeks. She let a hand trail up her leg “I’m thinking about you.”
“What about me?”
“About how much I miss you. How I can’t wait to see you…how I can’t wait for you to fuck me.” She felt a redness come to her cheeks. Vince brought out a whole new side to her she didn’t even know existed and she was appalled at herself right now. She had never even thought about having phone sex before and yet here she was.
It may have also had something to do with the four glasses of wine she’d consumed but if anything, this conversation was sobering her up at an alarming rate.
He coughed on the other end “And how would you like me to do that?”
“Uhm how about everywhere? How many rooms are in your house?”
“Nine.” He answered a little too quickly “And a pool.”
“A pool? Now we’re talking.” She said lowly with a small giggle.
“FaceTime me.” he said softly “I wanna see you.”
“Uh uh. This is more fun. Are you thinking about me?”
Her voice was sweet on the other end of the phone and she had him so keyed up he was thankful he was alone “I’m always thinking about you.” He responded. It was true. He woke up with her on his mind and went to bed with her on his mind. But she was clouding other parts of his body now besides his brain.
“Do you miss me?” She asked.
“Yes.”
“How much? Cuz I miss you a whole lot.” Josie let her hand slide between her legs and let out a little gasp “She misses you too. She’s been so lonely since you’ve been gone, with no one to take care of her.”
Vince chuckled nervously on the other end of the phone “And what is she going to do about that?”
Josie rubbed her fingers over herself and squirmed a little “She’s so wet. I have no choice but to take care of her myself.”
She heard the distinct sound of a belt unbuckling and Vince adjusting himself in whatever he was sitting in and he cleared his throat “Tell me about it.” He sounded almost a little nervous and she wondered for a second if this was a first for him too, but now wasn’t the time to ask. She felt some confidence exuding now because for once she felt like they were on an even playing field in terms of sexual experience. Most often she felt like he had the upper hand, but today things felt even.
“When I get there next week she’s going to need all your attention.”
She heard his breath hitch on the other end of the phone “You know she’s gonna have it.” He murmured.
“I hope so. Because she’s been so empty, with no one to take care of her.” Her fingers felt good as the moved inside of her and while this whole thing was totally hot, it would have been better if he was here. But this was the best she was going to get.
“Are you touching yourself thinking of me?” She asked sweetly.
“Mhm. I wish it was you though.” His breath was heavy on the other end of the phone and it made Josie hot just thinking about it “Fuck.” He swore on the other end. His voice was ragged like his breathing and Josie too had reached her limit.
“Are you going to cum for me?” She whispered, fingers moving faster inside of her. She definitely was, but she was holding out until he did as well, just like when they had the real thing.
“Yes I-Jesus fuck.” He he ground out from the other end of the phone.
Josie closed her eyes, head falling back “Vince I-“ but the words died as they came out of her mouth. It wasn’t a mind blowing orgasm like she’d become accustomed to, but it was enough to get the job done. It did however bring her down to earth when she realized if things didn’t work with Vince, she might not find another person she had that connection with. But that thought went out the window when she heard him breathing heavily on the other end of the phone.
He was quiet for a few moments before he cleared his throat “Did you-uh-“
“Yes. Did you?” She waited with baited breath for a second before he answered.
“Yeah.” Then he laughed a little “First time for everything I guess.”
She breathed a long sigh of relief and then laughed a little herself “Glad I could pop your phone sex cherry.”
“Can we FaceTime now. I wanna see your face.”
She but her lip “Sure.”
The phone started to ring and Josie took a deep breath before she answered. Vince was a little flushed and disheveled on the other side of it, but he smiled when she answered. She looked down at her lap shyly before she looked back up at him.
“You.” He said brushing a strand of hair from his forehead “Are a very bad girl.”
“Only for you.” She winked and rolled to her side, propping the phone up on her nightstand so she could fold laundry and talk with him at the same time.
“So are you all packed?” He asked, eyes peering at her through the screen. She got lost in them for a second, although the camera didn’t do them justice, and then nodded.
“Half packed.” She turned the phone to show him her open suitcase “It’ll be here before you know it.”
“Yeah.” He said frowning a little with a small sigh.
“I’ll see you in a week okay?” She smiled reassuringly at him through the screen and he nodded.
“Yeah. I’ll pick you up from the airport?” He seemed troubled, eyebrows furrowed.
She nodded and gave him a tight smile, settling into her bed “Just wish you could come earlier is all.”
He actually missed her. Not just the sex part, if that was all it was he wouldn’t be flying her out to Canada for a week knowing his mom would be around. He could find someone at home for sex.
“Cheer up lover. It’s only 5 days. Then you have me for a whole week. That’s a lot of time for activities.” She wiggled her eyebrows and he laughed.
“Yeah you’re right. Next week is going to be exhausting. In more ways than one.”
She giggled and smiled at him “Anything for Lord Stanley. And you too of course.”
They chatted for a few more minutes, as she reminded him of her flight times before they said good night and hung up the phone.
He sighed and set his phone down on the table and leaned back in his seat, arms folded. Josie had turned him inside out and he had no idea how she’d even done it. He’d never really been opposed to have a girlfriend, but he’d also never really wanted one either.
And amidst all that here he was, flying a girl across the country and FaceTiming her goodnight.
Which is why he found himself sitting on his mom’s sofa a short while later.
“So mom. There’s something I wanna talk to you about.”
She froze in her seat across from him “Oh boy. I don’t like where this is heading.” She set down her cup and turned to him eyebrows raised.
“No it’s nothing bad. Just something…good I guess. Well it is good I just-“
“Vince.” She said smiling “What’s going on?”
“So next week on my day with the cup, I’m gonna have a friend from St.Louis fly in and she-“
“SHE?!” His mom said eyes lighting up “She! A girl?”
He rolled his eyes “Yes mom a girl. Anyways she-“
“A girlfriend or a ‘girlfriend’?” She asked air quoting.
“A gir-.” He frowned “Actually to be honest I have no idea. A girl…friend.”
“I’m afraid I don’t know what that means, but tell me about her. What’s her name? What’s she like? How did you meet?”
He was definitely going to have to think something up for that last one because he couldn’t tell him mom that he’d taken her home an hour after he met her and then spent every night with her since then. She would yell at him for not being a gentleman but he also didn’t want that to impact the way she saw Josie either. He knew she was great, and he wanted her to think the same.
He couldn’t tell that to his mom.
“Her name is Josie. She’s great, I think you’ll really like her. And I met her out one day.”
She knew he was lying but she didn’t call him on it. He’d never asked but he was sure his mom had seen the photo of them that ended up online, and if she hadn’t he wasn’t going to start admitting to things now. Though he was an adult, technically, he went out of his way to keep his extra curricular activities private from everyone, but especially his mom. He suspected she knew about a lot of it, but it definitely wasn’t something they talked about.
“That’s it? That’s all you’re giving me?”
“I’ll let her tell you the rest. I don’t want to give away everything before she gets here.”
“Well you must really like her if you’re bringing her all the way here. This is a big week for you.”
He shrugged but she shook her head “No no. Don’t shrug at me. You don’t have to admit it, but I know that you wouldn’t fly her here if you didn’t like her…a lot.” She added at the end “But it’s your business. Either way. Looking forward to meeting her.”
***********
Josie usually slept flights away, but she was too amped to sleep. In just a few short hours she’d be seeing the guy she’d not known just over a months ago, but now she couldn’t imagine not knowing.
It was a little scary if she was being honest. Not Vince himself but everything that came with him. The recognition, the sport, the being a citizen of a whole other country.
Which was actually the scariest part to her.
What if Canadian Vince didn’t like her as much as St. Louis Vince did. What if when she got there he realized he’d rather have a girl from back home celebrating with him.
Was there a girl from back home?
She felt silly but the longer she sat on the plane the more she realized she was stepping into a place she’d never been, with people she didn’t know, to celebrate a trophy for a sport she’d never watched.
Given the opportunity she would have parachuted out of the plane but she didn’t think the pilot would be too understanding about her nerves. Though if he knew who she was flying out to see, he might.
The plane was fairly empty, and she had no seat mates on either side, which left her to anxiously bounce her knee without disturbing anyone.
There was too much cloud cover for her to really see anything. Canada would be a complete surprise and for a few minutes her excitement overrode her anxiety.
That was until the plane hit the runway and she felt like she was going to puke. The flight attendant glanced at her and did a double take, holding out a bag.
“Ma’am your green. Are you gonna throw up?” She leaned back a little bit.
“What? No I’m okay. Just…I’m okay.”
“Right…well maybe you should take this anyway.” She pushed the bag forward again and Josie took it.
“Have a good time!” The attendant called “Don’t throw up!” She said pointing at her.
Josie laughed and exited the plane, locating the baggage claim and grabbing her suitcase, when she felt her phone ding.
V: Let me know when your at the doors. I’m parked outside
She started typing to respond as she exited the doors and got a face full of sunlight, blinding her from seeing two feet in front of her.
J:I’m outside. Marco!
“Polo.” She heard from behind her.
She turned and standing some feet away, was Vince leaning against a black BMW, smiling at her. He was just as beautiful as she remembered, and as he had been the first time she’d ever seen him. His smiled widened as she made her way to him. It seemed like it took ages to reach him, her heart beating just a little bit faster with each step. As she came within a foot of him, she dropped her suitcase and he pulled her into a very hot, wet, long kiss right there in the airport parking lot. She wasn’t sure what to expect if she was being honest. In St. Louis everyone had already seen them making out on the news, but this was his home field and she wasn’t sure if he wanted to be kissing her so openly in public.
When he pulled away she was looking at him surprised.
“What?”
“Nothing, just didn’t know if you wanted people to see us making out in the airport parking lot.”
He chuckled and grabbed her stuff “I’m a Stanley cup champion I can do what I want.” He said opening the trunk and putting her bag inside. She felt a little lurch in her stomach as he slid past her to open the passenger door, hand sliding across her lower abdomen as he guided her into it and then shut the door. He’d had his hands on every part of her body and a little touch on the wait was doing her in. She took a deep breath trying to will away the redness that came to her face as he made his way around the car and slid in. She couldn’t believe how nervous she was. But then he turned and smiled at her and she remembered they’d already done a plethora of sexual things in various places and she relaxed a little bit.
“Ready?” He asked brightly, starting the car and turning to her.
“I think so. Unless you’re sick of me already.”
“Sick of you? Never.” He backed out of his spot and left the parking area of the airport. As he drove she saw the buildings start to fade away little by little and they were replaced by some of the most beautiful scenery she’d ever seen.
“So this is Canada?” He glanced over to find Josie peering out of the window smiling a little “The view sure beats down town St. Louis.”
He smiled a little bit and shrugged “Yeah maybe. But Canada doesn’t have you so I guess that makes it even.”
Josie rolled her eyes and blushed “That was so cheesy.”
“I couldn’t help it. It’s true though.” She looked so good after not seeing her for a week. She always looked good, but he realized now how much he actually liked her. And he was pretty sure she felt the same considering that she’d flown all this way to see him for only a week.
“On a scale of 1 to 10 how likely am I to see a Moose?” She asked still leaned forward.
“Probably pretty likely, but I should warn you to not try and pet them. Not the friendliest. And actually just don’t pet any of the wild animals you come across. There’s not many friendly things running around the forests in Canada.”
“I guess I can only find friendly things from Canada on Ice then.”
“Ha ha.” He said with a smile and watched her, watch the outside.
“It’s beautiful here.” she commented glancing at him “I have no clue where I am, but it’s beautiful nonetheless.” The trees were so thick Josie couldn’t even see through them as they made their way down the road. She hadn’t seen a car since they left the airport.
“It is.” He was quiet for a minute before he spoke again “So….is it okay if I kill you?”
Josie turned slowly to look at him for a full 10 seconds before she burst out laughing “Sure. Just make sure I still look good for the open casket if you wouldn’t mind.”
“Okay deal.” He reached a hand over to rest it on her leg “It’s really nice to have you here.”
“It’s nice to be here. I like getting to see where you come from.” She sounded genuine, and she smiled at him, resting her hand on top of his “Thanks for bringing me on my first Canadian adventure.”
“Hopefully with any luck it won’t be your last. Just stay away from the Moose.”
**********
Josie could see now that Vince was just as popular here as he was in Missouri as she followed him along through the place there meeting his friends and family. She hadn’t even had a chance to unpack her stuff, which was still in his trunk, but she was excited to meet them and get it over with. He didn’t know it, and she wouldn’t tell him but her nerves were a live wire.
He made her nervous that first night but that was nothing compared to this.
“Come here.” He grabbed her hand and tugged her forward behind him through the crowd.
“Mom. This is Josie, Josie this is my mom.” Vince’s mom was smiling at her and waved away her outstretched hand and hugged her instead “It’s nice to meet you, I wish I could say I’ve heard so much about you but Vince only just told me you were coming yesterday and won’t give me any details.” She smiled cheekily at him and then looked back at her.
Josie looked at him for guidance. She wasn’t about to tell his mom that they’d met in a bar and he’d taken her home and had sex half the night.
“We met out one night after the cup.” He said smiling at her “Schwartzy spilled a drink on her.”
“Mr. Stanley Cup Champion over here swooped in like Batman and saved the day.” She gave him a nudge “My hero.”
“I do what I can.” He said with a shrug, but smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist.
The rest of the day went great. She was a bit all around. His friends and family kept pulling him aside to tell him how great she was, which he knew of course. He watched her as she interacted with friends of his, when he felt his mom at his shoulder.
“She’s lovely.” His mom said as she looked at Josie talking with them, laughing like she’d known them for years “And so gorgeous.”
Vince nodded “She is right?”
“How did you meet her again?”
Vince bit his lip and looked at his mom who continued “Because I vaguely recall someone sending me a photo of you kissing some girl that wound up on the news. That would happen to be her would it?”
“Uhm.” He glanced at Josie and then his mom and gave her his best smile, one he usually used to get himself out of trouble “That’s actually from when I met her.”
His smiled faded a little when his mom looked at him flatly. That smile never worked with her “Uh huh. Well maybe next time just think about who you’re kissing after you win a major trophy and remember, the internet is forever.” Then she smiled “You seem happy.”
He nodded “I am. She’s great, and I really like being around her.”
“I would hope so. You flew her all the way out here. You don’t fly someone you don’t like into another country.”
He shrugged “I do. But…I don’t know just seeing what happens I guess.”
“Hmmmm.” She pursed her lips and smiled glancing at him.
“Knock it off.” He said bumping his mom’s shoulder.
“I’m just saying. You seem different with her is all. None of my business.” She pinched his side and wandered away giving him a long pointed look as she did. He squeezed through people saying hello as he did, and found her sliding her glass to the bartender.
“You’re popular.” He said into her ear, one hand reaching forward to grip hers. She smiled at him and felt redness come to her cheeks, both from the wine and from him holding her hand in front of his family.
“Just like back home. I’m sorry you’re so lame and no one wants to talk with you.” She made a pouty lip at him and squeezed his hand. He rolled his eyes, smile widening.
She looked so good in Canada, in a bar with his family and friends, her white dress bright against her tan skin.
“Let’s get out of here. You have two weeks worth of phone sex and dirty texting to make good on.” He waggled his eyebrows at her. They said their goodbyes and much to her delight, he never let go of her hand, and they made their way into his car, driving mostly in silence, and then into his house. It was dark and late, and the sounds of the night could be heard from everywhere as he unlocked his front door and she stepped past him and inside. She heard him shut the door and lock it and a ripple of excitement started to creep through her, sending an electric current into every nerve in her body.
“So.” He said from behind her, causing her to turn. He was half illuminated, half in shadow as he dropped her bag by the door “Which room do you wanna start in?”
She grinned and took a step back “Catch me and find out.”

Savvy Day Care
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
Sav sat in the driver seat of their shared brand-new Mercedes Benz sprinter passenger van going over his checklist to make sure he had all of his nieces. They had so many children and counting, a regular little mini-van wouldn’t do—like on ballet and gymnastics days that they all had together or when Jacob did field trips with them. Minus the boys who rarely made any fuss, all nine girls were very specific at times and some didn’t like sharing seat belts or their personal space if they weren’t in the best mood, so they invested in a sprinter and it’d been smooth sailing since.
“Melody, she so pretty make my heart all fluttery.”
“Here,” she cheerfully replied to her uncle. She didn’t always get to spend a lot of time with her father’s side of the family so being in the presence of her uncle and cousins made her happy.
“Delightful Damaris, she gon’ be a stunnin’ runway model in Paris.”
“Here!”
“Pretty Poppy, all these hoes gon’ wanna copy.”
“Here me go, Uncle Sav!”
“Savannah my precious banana,” Sav called then looked in the mirror and she raised her hand, still not able to verbally communicate much but they were working on it day by day. They mostly depended on sign language. He and Chi were just thankful she was able to walk on her own now without assistance. “Queen Day B, my G!”
“Here daddy!” she giggled.
“Aubree my gorgeous lil cup of tea.”
“Here,” she blushed.
“Ivory, my cute honeybee.”
“I’m right here,” she replied bashfully.
They loved their pet names given by Uncle Sav.
“Lovely Loire, even though you mean you the one I’ll always adore.” “Hmph!” she folded her arms with a scowl. The last thing she wanted to do was be in a leotard, tights, ballet shoes and a slick back bun. She looked just like a little Lake with an attitude.
“Ion know what hmph mean lil girl.”
“Me here!” Loire pouted, attitude on a hundred.
“You gon’ be flung over the bushes you keep actin’ up,” Sav threatened and she poked her lip out, and started crying into her sister’s arm. “My beautiful River gon’ always have my back and deliver…slaps! To ya muhfuckin’ dome on behalf of her uncle!”
“Here, Uncle Savy,” she laughed. “You make my sister cry,” River put her arm around Loire.
“She made her lil bad ass self cry. Loire cut it out before I get Sugar Sprinkle Pickle,” he referred to their dog that Lake let them name and she straightened up real quick. For some reason she was afraid of that little ass chihuahua. “Ard, everybody got their seatbelts on?” “Yes!” they all responded at the same time, Savannah nodding her head up and down.
“Do anybody gotta go number one or two before I pull off?”
“Nooo!”
“Goin’ once, goin’ twice, and we out!”
Jacob was on vacation for a week so what he’d usually tend to with their children was split between Sav, Lake, and Dem. Vant declined to help, wanting to use all of his free time from the kids trying to give Ivy another baby which she refused.
They had so many kids that keeping them active was necessary. They had tons of energy which needed to be channeled in something productive other than fighting with one another. Leave them in the house for too long, barrettes were flying, hair was being pulled and nothing but crying and screaming filled the air.
Once they arrived at the studio, Sav parked and got out making all of the girls hold hands as they crossed the lot. They basically had private lessons seeing as their group made up one class.
“Good afternoon!” their teacher, Ms. Farrah smiled as each of her tiny ballerinas marched into the studio. While the class went on Sav sat to the side taking pictures and videos, sending them in the group chat.
Avery: Fix Loire bow, she get on my nerves with that lil ass attitude! Ivy: Why is Aubree actin’ like we don’t practice the pliè at home? Ooh that girl! Vant: Fuck off my daughter bro Ivy: STFU! Avery: Nobody is talking about Damaris eatin’ everybody up though Chi: Straight running circles around them! Show them how it’s done Maris! Sav: My Banana is the best one Chi: And she is! Avery: She is doing so good, I’m so proud of her Ivy: Me too. Vant: Love Banny and all but I’m not bouta sit here and lie Ivory killin’ all them! Avery: LIES! It’s Damaris, River, THEN my pookie poo Ivory Ivy: Avery don’t make me kick your ass. Avery: Facts are facts! Lake: Can y’all all shut the fuck up? Chi: Husband! Why you gotta be so mean? Avery: Chi. Ivy: CTFU! Sav: I’m mutin’ y’all dickheads now Chi: You better not nigga! Ivy: Whose making dinner tonight? Avery: Not me! Putting the phone in his pocket, Sav gathered his tribe of little ladies. They all walked to the van hand in hand talking over one another.
“Loire, you feel better?”
“Yes!” she answered her uncle now all smile. Sometimes it took his niece a minute to warm up.
“Good…who wanna go bother auntie Chi?”
“Meeeeee!” they all raised their hands at the same time.
“She’s my mommy,” Sav heard Day say.
“And she’s my auntie,” Aubree sassed.
“Don’t be mean to me.”
“Talk to the hand!”
“Daddy!” Day shouted. “She put her hand in my face,” she whined.
“Aubree chill out.”
“I’m tellin’ my daddy on you!” Aubree asserted.
“And what he supposed to do?”
“Beat chu up.”
“Your daddy can’t beat my daddy,” River added twisted her neck.
“I bet he can!”
“No he can’t!
“Ard,” Sav laughed. “Y’all chill, it ain’t that deep.”
“But Uncle Savy, she—”
“It’s ard River,” Sav turned to her giving her a look. “We know the real.”
River nodded then rolled her eyes at Aubree. “My daddy still can whoop uncle Vant, I seen him do it,” she whispered just having to get the last word.

don’t wait for heartbreak !
Tumblr media
⤷ instead of cupid shooting an arrow love, it feels like heartbreak instead. being friends with the boys is great and all, until feelings start showing up. with feelings, things could go smooth sailing or could go awry with a potential frazzled relationship
− ⌗ ft .∿ haechan, mark, jisung x fem reader
− ⌗ genre + warnings .∿ angst + non idol!au, college au for mark + jisung, reader lowkey breaks jisung’s heart :/
Tumblr media
⤹ ⊹ MARK LEE
✶ for quite sometime you have been acquaintances with mark and for quite some time, you have seen him more than you would think. of course it’s college and you can easily run into familiar faces but to run into mark lee just about every day of the week? quite strange some might say, and to say that you don’t have a class with him makes it even more…odd. “it could be fate”, some may say but you waved that possibility off a while ago.
though, you are grateful that you do bump into mark ever so often. as coincidental as it was, the constant run-ins bloomed a friendship between you two, and he was a friend anyone could ask for. he was kind, funny, light-hearted, caring, and everything someone could ask for as a friend or partner. hence, not being shocked that most of the student body is either infatuated or “in love” with mark lee, including you. terribly cliche but he was one of your closest friends; someone to lean on, vent to with any and everything, an understanding guy with the limited vocabulary of “yo” and “bro”, someone to joke with, fall in love with, he was everything you could ever dream of as a romantic partner.
however, if there was one flaw mark had, it was being oblivious. well, it was more so a flaw to you than everyone around you. to think all those times of your boy troubles, your long long rants about finding your dream guy (terribly obvious being him) and bringing yourself closer to him, one would think he would catch on. but instead, he doesn’t, he never bothered to put two and two together and instead went about to continue dating other girls.
to make matters worse, something bloomed between a friend of yours and mark, creating a heartache as you watch the two grow in love with one another. thus leaving you with frustration, anger, and regret for not vocalizing your feelings and how much you want him to be your lover.
it would eat at your heart watching mark and your friend, but then again, what kind of friend would you be if you wished the worst for them? instead of creating jealousy, and/or envy, you thought it would be best to create space, bit by bit as the days pass. you distanced yourself from mark cause you couldn’t let your heart slowly shatter as you watch him date your friend, as your feelings for him grew, right?
⤹ ⊹ LEE HAECHAN
✶ haechan, the man with a pretty smile and an elegant voice that could bring tears to angels. his voice was one that was complimented ever since he was young, making him such a gifted person to others who get to hear it and to you who get to be best friends with haechan. though, past his voice, he was kind, loving, affectionate, occasionally cheeky and flirty, but overall someone that you could consider heaven’s blessings.
he was someone to give you a hug (and doesn’t let go) on your bad days, someone to lull you to sleep anytime anxiety kept you up or a bad nightmare had you uneasy, someone who wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable to you, an emotional support for just about everything, even with girl stuff he couldn’t understand, he was there for you. albeit, you were there for him just as much he was there for you, much more with his singing career.
when he introduced you to his dream of becoming a singer and wanting to become a respected songwriter, you were none other than supportive. some would say you were “too” supportive but who wouldn’t want to see their best friend be recognized for his angelic voice, which should be heard by billions across the world?
however, as the fame leisurely grows and less time is spent haechan, you begin to think, “as much as it is good that haechan’s dreams are coming true, just how much his newfound fame can taper our friendship?”. it doesn’t help as well that as the two of you grow older, your heart wanting for him grows more and more. the emotions that were once platonic, and strong, turn into a deep crush, and potentially…love. maybe it’s the distance that grows as he becomes busy with being a singer-songwriter, maybe it’s the gratitude he showers you with when you were supporting him and his dream, or maybe it’s the way he would look so divine in his performances, something about haechan made you yearn for him more than usual.
but of course, with newfound fame comes people throwing themselves at haechan, making him become less available for you and making him more distant. not to mention that every time he would announce a new relationship, you would fake happiness for him, on some days you would almost let it slip that it should’ve been you. as time passes, you would sink into a battle of wanting the best for haechan and wanting to be selfish and confess your feelings to him. you would think day in and day out how it should be you that he kissed on camera or it should be you that he brags about on his new song, not some supermodel or famous actress.
though all this inner fighting with yourself leads you to a slow heartbreak and distancing yourself from your best friend. the distance was already hefty as it is, he simply wouldn’t notice you avoiding him as well. he wouldn’t need to as another girl is graced upon his arm telling him ‘i love you’ and you’re sat with heartache.
⤹ ⊹ PARK JISUNG
✶ jisung is what some would consider empathetic, he was always one to put others before his own. not really known by many on campus but the ones who do know him, they would say that he truly is one of a kind, a good soul, a pure heart, a blessing to all who meet him. though one thing jisung wished he wasn’t was an easy lover.
he wished he couldn’t catch feelings for others as easily as he does, it’s a blessing and a curse. some of his friends say he should embrace it, but that rarely helps when he feels crushed every time he shows a girl an ounce of his love. it’s the same routine time and time again; he befriends a girl, they become close, he confesses and it’s one of two options, they either reject or strangely use his crush to their own advantage. the second option only lasts till it plagues jisung’s mind that he’s just a throwaway to these girls.
though with you, he thought things would be different this time, again thought. the night you confessed to him that you liked him, you were drunk but very bubbly to express your feelings for him. it made jisung giddy inside to know that this time won’t be a mess up and that good will come out of this. he kissed you as you were expressing yourself, your smile was already cheery as it is but his kiss ignited something in you. it ignited something that led to various kisses on his face, ending with a kiss, on the lips, that felt like a lifetime, and passion that brewed between the both of you.
said passion led to many drunken and messy kisses, late night sneaks, neediness for one another’s body, something and anything to light up that passion that was created between you two.
though something felt off, more so to jisung than to you. he felt like he’s seen this before, like deja vu is warning him of something, he just couldn’t put his finger on it. he talked to his friends about it, they say that maybe it’s just fear of the past trying to scare him but they did lightly threaten you to not hurt him. he is the baby of the group, they couldn’t help it.
however, as time passes, you seem to act detached towards jisung. you haven’t called him as often as you used to, you don’t come by his dorm, you haven’t shown him affection like you used to. it was going from honeymoon avenue to heartbreak hotel and jisung didn’t even bother to figure you out.
he essentially gave up, he didn’t want to bare anymore pain from love (again), and it doesn’t help that it’s you setting that pain in his heart. thus, he sulks in that pain and just goes about life, distancing himself just as much as you detach yourself from him.
Tumblr media
౨ৎ oh ariana grande, when i catch you….WHEN I CATCH YOU. cause why would you make we can’t be friends…..
౨ৎ there will be a part two with the rest of the dreamies :). but i hope you guys enjoy my first post !
kisses to you all and God bless you 💗

You and Higuruma are on your third mission, and you save him from getting injured, putting yourself in harm's way as you do so.

"How truly relevant is the job of a sorcerer?" Higuruma asked as you both walked down the corridor of a closed school.
"What do you mean?" You inquired, looking around for any sign of the curse you were both sent out to exorcize. Gladly, this curse had been detected by one of the windows before anyone went missing, which was a rare occurrence. You thought this had already started off pretty good, and all could be smooth sailing from there.
It wouldn't be.
"What I mean to say is that curses spawn cyclically, from what you and other sorcerers have told me, right?"
"Hm, yes?" You replied, unsure where he intended to lead this conversation. His rants usually arrived to cynical, pessimistic or nihilistic conclusions, though, as you had noticed from previous interactions.
"So, considering curses will always keep spawning, why do we bother sending people to die facing them?" Higuruma finally posed the question. "This is an incredibly risky line of work, after all."
"Because curses don't just disappear, they have to be exorcized. Otherwise, more people might die due to cursed activity."
"From what I could gather, there aren't that many jujutsu sorcerers, and the quantity of people disappearing due to cursed activity has stayed the same, even with Jujutsu sorcerers numbers increasing. I think it's fair to say we don't make a dent" Higuruma replied nonchalantly.
You sighed. "You might have a point. Even so, our job is to exorcize curses, and I don't see a downfall to that activity in and of itself. I mean..." you shrugged, "exorcizing curses is just that, exorcizing curses. Not saving lives or anything of the sort. Getting rid of the literal corporeal manifestation of bad feelings is surely something good to be doing."
He sighed heavily.
"Hey, I like it just as much as you do" you said.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes. I'm here working for Jujutsu High somewhat against my own volition too. Not the same as you," you remarked, briefly looking at Higuruma, "but trust me, I would rather be doing something else with my time. Maybe even exorcizing curses, but not for them."
That poked just a little at his curiosity, but he didn't pay enough mind to it in order to ask you for further information. Higuruma still felt awkward to be working alongside someone he had nearly killed, and on top of that, from what he learned, had saved his life shortly after.
"What about this Jujutsu High, or Jujutsu Tech? Why are they in charge of making decisions regarding jujutsu and curses?" Higuruma asked.
"Beats me, I have no idea. What I know is that their headmaster, so to speak, has been building this alongside some very powerful clans for some centuries. That's about it."
He kept silent, and the awkward silence entangled the both of you.
"Let's just get the job done and get out of here" you concluded.
Shortly after, you both heard some noise coming from the floor above, and you looked at Higuruma as he increased the length of his gavel, turning it into a mid-range weapon. You conjured some grenades and kept them between your fingers, walking towards the stairs. The two of you stepped up quietly, and peered up.
Sliding on the ground, there was a purple creature with many tentacles and yellow eyes all over its body. As it moved, its tentacles were leaving some greenish substance all over the floor and walls.
It definitely rang some alarm bells in your head.
However, before you could talk to him, Higuruma had already jumped over to the top of the stairs and was lunging towards the curse, doing something he had been so accustomed to do by this point.
I could kill him myself with my bare hands right now.
Being a prodigy regarding his sorcerer abilities, Higuruma had exorcized successfully multiple high grade curses around Morioka before you found him. So his usual instinct by now was to charge against any found curse without assessing much about the situation. You had already warned him the previous two missions you both went together, having to run around trying to accompany him while Higuruma swung his gavel, tearing multiple holes and wounds on each and every curse along the way. He'd forget, many times, that the thing ricocheted, and almost hit you twice on your last mission.
"For fuck's sake, Higuruma! Wait up!" You yelled, jumping over and running towards him.
"'Let's just get the job done', right?!" He yelled back, swirling his weapon — now his size — to crush the curse on the ground. Yet, before he did so, the curse squirmed around with its tentacles, pinning itself to the ceiling, leaving a green trail of slobber on the walls as it did.
"Be careful!"
You suspected what the green goo oozing out the curse's tentacles might be, and you'd be proven right in just a few moments.
"Why?!" He shouted back, getting ready to propel himself upwards with his weapon. You were nearing him when the cursed spirit flung one of its tentacles in his direction, and you could see  that it was covered in stings, spitting the green substance on its bottom side.
"Get away!" You yelled, as you pushed him out of the tentacle's trajectory. However, it wrapped around your arm before you could pull it back, and the spears pierced your skin, pumping your blood with cursed poison. Another tentacle came down rapidly and whipped your face, leaving a few cuts behind.
You let out a pained grunt before conjuring one of your grenades with your other hand and grabbing the thing that was around your arm, exploding it.
Underneath, your arm was bloody and starting to turn purple.
He looked at your arm and then at you. "Are you okay?"
"Of course I'm fucking not!" You gnarled, feeling the poison pumping through your veins like corrosive acid. You figured you'd only have some seconds before losing control over your muscles, given they were already twitching, so you mustered the strength to summon multiple grenades, throwing some of them upwards with one hand. As the curse tried to do the same move, sliding down towards the stairs you both came from to avoid impact, you threw the remainder of them in its direction, hitting the curse full force with the blasts. It was exorcized in an instant, leaving nothing but some bits and pieces around that slowly dissipated away.
This was the first time Higuruma actually witnessed you using your innate cursed technique with this much power, worthy of a Grade 1 sorcerer from what he had learned, and figured you wanted to end this quickly.
In your previous missions, you had let him beat the curses into oblivion, taking the time he needed to — which was fast, but not this fast. He thought you did so just to let him earn his 'pay', but now Higuruma figured that he had made it impossible for you to fight properly alongside him.
When he put himself in between you and the curses, just advancing without coordinating moves with you, you'd be unable to use an explosion technique like this without seriously injuring him.
Huffing, you tried walking, but your legs began failing you. Your body was about to fall when Higuruma hurried himself to hold you before you did.
"Take me b-back to Jujutsu High right n-now" you said, voice breaking at the burning sensation all throughout your body, as you tried your best to use your RCT to protect your organs, muscles, and bones from corroding or malfunctioning due to the poison.
Using RCT to deal with poison was very tricky, so the best strategy was protection of your own body while it worn out instead of trying to separate the poison from your blood and tissues, which required a super fine control of cursed energy that you absolutely could not do in this state.
He nodded, picking you up in his arms, feeling a pit of guilt forming in his gut. If he had waited before charging in, then maybe this could all have been avoided.
I'm an idiot.
***
"And here you are again, it seems" Shoko said, as she prepped a drip with analgesics while you healed yourself.
You nodded, chuckling softly, feeling every nerve in your body burn painfully in response. You were covered in cold sweat, had your jaw clenched and looked like 2 steps away from perishing. Even with your RCT, the poison had burned some damage through your body, and you knew you'd be facing a gnarly recovery period.
"Yeah, but this time it wasn't completely intentional" was all you mustered up the strength to say.
"I guess that's what people call 'an accident', then" Shoko answered, before she sighed. After she finally inserted the needle in your arm, securing it, Shoko stepped back, and said, "if your RCT starts to run out, let me know, I'll take over so you can rest."
You hummed in accordance, and she removed her gloves, throwing them in the trash before coming out of your room and closing the door. Outside, Higuruma sat, leaning his body lazily against the wall behind him.
"It's my fault, she pushed me out of harm's way because I was being careless," he mindlessly said to Shoko, "just like every damn thing that brought me here. It's all my fault."
Shoko scoffed, putting one hand on her pocket to search for her cigarettes.
"Feeling guilty is not healing her faster" Shoko said, looking straight at him.
Higuruma was slightly surprised at her comment.
Shoko proceeded, "carrying guilt like that because of some sense of penitence only leads to things like these. People get hurt while you're taking your time reveling in your guilt, acting recklessly. Do better."
Pursing his lips, he looked at the floor, embarrassed for the consequence of his actions. This guilt of ending up harming someone and endangering their life had him finally grasping upon the feelings he had buried deep shortly after killing the judge and the prosecutor.
It felt awful.
It seemed his humanity was slowly being rescued from the depths of his apathetic state, after all.
Both Shoko and Higuruma noticed some steps as someone approached them.
"Where is she? What happened?"
Higuruma heard a male voice and looked upwards, seeing a tall blond man with a blue formal shirt, equally formal beige pants and green goggles. One of his hands was wrapped up with what seemed like a yellow cloth with a black splatter pattern — was it a tie? — and he had a brown leather harness on his upper body, seemingly used to carry something in his back.
"She's stable, and as fine as she could be fighting cursed poison" Shoko replied, finally managing to fish out her pack of cigarettes from her pocket.
"It's my fault. She took the damage to save me" Higuruma said, looking at the man. "I'm Higuruma."
Nanami glared at him, knowing full well who it was. This was the curse user that had endangered your life when you went to take him into custody. Nanami had absolutely no idea why you thought you should save this man from execution, but held himself begrudgingly from making any especially harsh remarks as you tried to help the man.
"Nanami" he answered unceremoniously, still glaring at the other sorcerer. "If you plan to keep working for Jujutsu High in order to ease your punishment, then be considerate of your colleagues. We don't do well with recklessness in the field, as it can get other people killed."
The ratio sorcerer stabbed each word at Higuruma with a frosty bite of anger as he spoke.
Higuruma lowered his head and sighed. "You're right. I apologize."
Nanami scoffed silently. "You should apologize to her, and probably be grateful as well. It seems she might have saved you from many things, and not just from getting hit with cursed poison" he concluded, while getting into the room and closing the door behind him.
"Congratulations, you just earned your first Nanami lecture" Shoko chimed in, while calmly walking away. She stopped, however, and turned one last time to face Higuruma.
"Hm?"
"You should really thank her. She's really doing more than anyone here would do to help you."
"Why, though? Why did she help me?" He inquired, not really keen on asking you the same thing. Coming back into contact with his feelings rather than keep embracing apathy, like he had been ever since killing those people, was becoming increasingly uncomfortable.
Shoko shrugged. "No idea. I think it's because she's the martyr and good-hearted type" she said, while sighing. "Just... Don't be an ass" Shoko stated, right before finally stepping away.
***
"May I come in?" Higuruma asked, uncertain, as he stood by your door after Nanami left.
You rolled your eyes, ready to ask him to leave, but pondered for a moment. Looking back at the sorcerer, you noticed his usual lackadaisical expression had been chipped away, replaced by a somewhat worried frown.
"Fine, come in" you answered, still accompanying him with your eyes.
He walked in and sat on a chair by your bedside, with bated breath, as you glanced at him curious about what he wanted to speak.
You were almost at your wit's end with the man. He had been nothing but an irresponsible, inconsiderate jackass ever since you got his death sentence suspended with Gojo's help. You understood and sympathized with his contempt for corrupt powers in place, being yourself someone carrying such types of feelings most of the time.
However, it got you beyond angry the way he simply disregarded anyone's well-being and efforts when proceeding with the terms of his 'parole'. You were to work together, you were supposed to shepherd him, and even so, all he had done up until this point was endangering the both of you at the battlefield.
"I apologize" Higuruma said, earnestly, looking down.
"Hm. For what?" You inquired, wanting a proper apology.
"For my irresponsibility. And for attacking you the first time we crossed paths. Also for acting in a way in our previous missions that made your job of shepherding me harder than it should be" he said, sighing after. "I’m sorry."
Your anger had diminished, and you took a few moments before addressing him.
"I accept your apology, but you’ll definitely have to do better than you have been doing. Do you understand? I can’t have by my side a reckless, suicidal maniac. It’s a liability not only for you, but for me too."
Higuruma nodded, lifting his gaze to look at you.
"I understand."
"Do we have a deal?" You said, sliding your good hand under the gurney's side support grip for a makeshift handshake.
He took your hand in his, and avoided moving it too much, while he felt his tense body slightly relax as he did.
We have a deal.

would you ever do a soap/ghost/reader fic where reader is the touch starved one? like maybe ghost and soap were together first and want to help reader get more comfortable in the relationship after they realize that you keep basically third wheeling yourself?
𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐚𝐩 𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥'𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Tumblr media
note: I took some liberties with this, anon, so it could coincide with the beginnings of Ghoapbusters. wanna read some more ghoap x reader?
Remember when it was mentioned that the transition to a full-fledged relationship was uneventful? It most definitely was. That doesn't mean it was smooth sailing at the start, though.
Because not only is Simon being Simon, you, despite the apparent attraction, already started doubting your place in this... thing—RELATIONSHIP. Wonderful shit, huh?
And Ghost, for all of his self-doubt, trusts his instinct when it comes to your presence in their lives. Fuck yes, you belong. How else could he keep Johnny grounded? Or something like that. You belong. You three made this choice together. Accept the consequences, baby. You ain't getting rid of them that easily.
Easier said than done, though, because the first time you three went out together—yes, gorgeous, in an official RELATIONSHIP—you pretty much turned yourself into the third wheel. You couldn't help but feel self-conscious about the chemistry between Simon and Johnny, the ease with which they could be themselves around each other.
It's ironic considering Simon absolutely feels like a fish out of water with all this and if it was possible, Johnny's eyes would roll out of his sockets with the number of times he's rolled them in exasperation because you guys (meaning you and Simon) are so busy reassuring the other and not practicing what you preach. It's so ironic he could laugh. And he does, which helps ease the tension for the most part.
You were also much more comfortable doling out physical affection to Johnny than you are to Simon because as much as you want to bury your face in his chest and grab fistfuls of ass as you hug him even though your arms should ideally be around his waist, you wonder if he (and Johnny) would think you weird for doing so, hell, for even thinking it. When you finally did it for the first time, after what seemed like eons of tentative touches between you two, it went... about as much as you expected. He stiffened, those buns tightened in your hands, and you felt the deep rumble of his groan. "'S not my damn waist," he said, and it didn't carry the fire of agitation that you thought it would. Johnny was proud.
And when they do things for you, you know, that people in RELATIONSHIPS do for each other because they care, you either try your best to convince them not to (what the fuck?) or you giggle. Nervously. To the point that it actually gets awkward. Because why would they do this for you?
It finally comes to a head when they have to sit you down. Simon takes the initiative with this one and fuck, you love it when he takes charge. ❤️
You three talk, or, er, well, they had to pry answers out of you because you were a little anxious about the conversation but really, the outcome managed to soothe your fears for the time being. They do, however, make you promise to talk to them when you start to feel this way again. Sure thing, guys.
In the end, you and Johnny wound up piling up on Simon. Simon who's still getting used to all this and doubts be damned, wraps his arms around you both. It's awkward. It's adorable. It's awkwardly adorable, two words that you NEVER thought you'd use to describe him but here you are.
And that's how Ghost became Simon in the Middle.

The school learned of Eddie and (name)s courtship when the omega came to school in Eddie's leather jacket and reeked of Hawkins freak.
It instantly became the talk of the school the second he stepped through the doors and went to his locker as if nothing happened.
Robin and Steve were the first to notice, (name) having become friends with Steve through Robin and the two became pretty good friends "so you gonna explain what this is about?"
"Eddie and I went on a date last weekend and he's officially began courting" (name) said simply as if it were obvious "he gave me his jacket and I knit him some fuzzy socks!"
"Damn, I just heard every alpha in this joints hearts break" Steve joked and (name) snorted at his words "sucks to suck, not like I was willing to date them anyways"
(Name) just hoped people would stop hitting on him now that he was taken.
"Hey baby~" Eddie said softly as they met up for lunch, (name) handing him a cutely made lunch "shit this for me?"
"Yup! It was made with love!" And a lot of swearing but Eddie didn't need to know that, as much as (name) hated those god awful omega classes, cooking was useful to say the least and his alpha seemed to enjoy it.
(Name) really liked saying that.
His alpha.
It made him giddy.
He also learned Eddie though very protective wasn't possessive like other alphas at this school, letting (name) do what he wants and such.
He knew alphas Jason and Billie would practically have him monitored and stuff.
(Name) liked choosing what he wanted to do.
"So how's your game?" (Name) asked genuinely, the two sitting beside each other and enjoying each other's company "it's pretty good, your brother has this fun habit of trying to nab anything he sees in game"
"That sounds about right" the couple chatted away, in their own little world.
"So after your game tonight... Any other plans?" (Name) asked softly "well... I was thinking of sneaking into this particularly cute omegas room and kissing him senseless" Eddie said teasingly and (name) couldn't help but purr at the idea "I'm sure this omega will keep his window unlocked just for you"
Eddie knew how jealous the other alphas and betas were at the fact that he got the prettiest Omega in the school, all of them backing off from beating him up because if you harm him (name) would hate whoever attacked him.
(Name) being like an adorable armor of invulnerability.
It was a cute bonus to an already wonderful person.
Like Chrissy he thought (name) would be scary but he was just a precious marshmallow, (name) and Chrissy already being friends helped Eddie not have to stress with the whole "introducing his best friend to his boyfriend" ordeal and (name) didn't see the redhead as a threat whatsoever.
So it was all smooth sailing.
When the bell rang Eddie scented (name) briefly before they parted, (name) giddy about Eddie's visit that night.
He couldn't wait!

Writing Update (11/28/22)
Hello everyone!
Unfortunately on Friday I had the wonderful pleasure of catching the flu. On one hand, I've been stuck shivering and coughing all day. On the other hand, my fever-induced psychoses gave me wonderful material to write with in the future.
Because of that, I wasn't able to get much done this week, though I was able to get a jump on some scenes before I got sick!
This past few weeks I've managed to write 5k words making Chapter 5, pt. 2 51k words long!
As of now I'm working on Sabir + Nikke's scenes simultaneously so I can bounce back and forth between them whenever I get bored. The scenes are "simple" enough when compared to Vethna + Amilia's that it's easy for me to do and usually allows me to write a bit quicker since I won't be able to run into writer's block this way!
Ideally, I'll be able to finish both of their scenes by the midpoint of December, but we'll see. I also then need to revisit Amilia + Vethna's scenes to add in extra dialogue + flavor text based on things MC might've done if they went to speak to Sabir/Nikke first, since I find it enjoyable when all the characters acknowledge one another.
Once I get this check-in scene finished, I'll then be able to move onto chronological + companion scenes, which should be pretty smooth sailing. I put on the tumblr's actual website (it might only be visible on a computer) an estimated release for Part 2 which is Quarter 1 of next year-- so anywhere from January - March 2023. I feel confident about that window and will likely shrink it down to more specific dates the more work I get done.
That's all the main stuff! I also included some vocabulary down below for what I personally mean when I'm referring to the "check-in" scenes and such for those of you that are interested. Otherwise, that's all, and thanks for reading! :)
Chapter 5 (Part 2) Progress Scene 1: Linear Scene 2: Hobbies (Finished -- 10/10 Branches) Scene 3: Hobbies Scene 4: Check-in (50% -- 1/3 Branches) Scene 5: Chronological (75% Done) Scene 6: Chronological Scene 7: Companion Scene 8: Companion
Check-in: A check-in scene is when MC is given the choice to speak to the characters "one-on-one." MC can always choose what order to speak to the characters in, but otherwise it breaks down into two more subtypes.
A Check-in 1, which hasn't been seen in-game yet but will be in Part Two, requires MC to speak to every NPC before the scene can go forward. There may also be certain dialogue choices with each character that must be picked in order for the scene to go forward. In scenes like this, main-plot information will be included as every MC will be forced to see it regardless of their relationships or personality.
A Check-in 2 allows MC to choose who they speak to, sometimes under a condition where MC must choose a limited amount of characters to speak to. This means sometimes MC will be able to talk to everyone with ease, and other times (Like in the War Room) MC will be forced to choose who to speak to out of 2 or 3 characters. These type of check-ins will be more common, and they'll also contain information important for side-quests. They'll allow MC to built up trust/respect with characters even if MC + them don't get along, which will then get them to tell MC more about themselves... which, chances are, will open up some unique storylines in the future. The "side-quests" will open up additional scenes for MC in the future where MC can influence how they end, and the ending of these side-quests will then influence the main story (usually). They're not required-- and sometimes MC not getting involved can even be better-- but they're there!
Companion Scene: A companion scene is when a single scene can include any given character in it-- meaning in some playthroughs the scene will have Vethna in it, in others it will have Amilia. So essentially I'm rewriting the same moment of time several times over again for every companion who could be in it. The character who will be in the scene can sometimes be chosen by the player directly-- other times it will be a matter of what MC's relationships are. Sometimes a scene is limited to being with MC's romantic partner or best friend, other times a scene can be played with anyone who MC is amicable with, other times a scene can only be played with whoever MC has the lowest affinity with, etc. It's the closest in style to a classic sort of IF structure-- "You're tired and lonely, only one person comes to your mind to spend time with. That person is..." type of beat.
Hobbies Scene: A hobby scene is a scene that changes depending on what MC's hobby is set as. For example, an MC whose hobby is cooking might have a scene where they're helping make dinner for the group at night while another MC whose hobby is exploring might be sneaking out and climbing things they probably shouldn't be climbing... Sometimes these events will be done with companions as well! Not always, of course... otherwise I would have to be writing 60 variations of scenes which is... not possible <3
Chronological Scene: I just use this to reference a normal span of writing where the scene doesn't vary based on relationships but on choices. So I'm only writing variations for the choices you make as MC-- not for the stats that are behind the scenes! These types of scenes are significantly easier to write than the ones above. Even though I'm needing to write the multiple ways a scene can play out, it's not quite as repetitive as the check-in scenes are, nor do they take as long to finish as the Companion + Hobbies scenes.
Linear Scene: I don't write much of these in comparison to the others, but it's exactly what it sounds like. These tends to be scenes from other character's POV where there are no choices-- and, if there are choices (Like the Freedom removal scene in Chapter 5 pt. 1) then they don't have any actual affect on the scene and how it plays out. These are incredibly easy to write, and usually I'm able to finish them in a single sitting!
That's all for this week. Thanks for reading! :)

Cdramas I watched in 2023 List
(dramas with gifs are excellent/great and actually worth watching in my opinion. The others are not, watch at your own risk)
You are so sweet-A time passer if not anything else.
From Repair to Pair-Idk what the hell they wanted me to get from this.
My Fated Boy-he wins for best male lead I've watched this year. He was perfect.
Tumblr media
The Trick of Life and Love-i tried.
Hi venus-I love this.
Tumblr media
Romance with Blind Master-LOL i should've never watched this especially when I know the movie was no good. LOL
The Starry Love-ending was... but it was nice till then.
Tumblr media
Warm on a Cold Night-I need them in another drama together. Hopefully Modern.
Tumblr media
Taste of Love-this was so bad
My Little Happiness-rewatch
Definitely Not Today-so underrated. It's only 8 episodes but it's a very important story.
Tumblr media
The Lady in the Butchers House- she was abusive
Delicious Romance-absolutely hated this
Royal Rumors-pretty but very boring
Tumblr media
Nothing But You
Tumblr media
Back From the Brink-hated that end
Tumblr media
The Love You Give Me-meh
Tumblr media
Rewriting Destiny- this deserves so much. I know it's low budget but I actually really enjoyed this drama so much. He needs bigger roles.
Tumblr media
Destined
Tumblr media
Here We Meet Again- boring most of the time and long winded but very pretty because that's the only roles this man does
Tumblr media
Romance on the Farm-as yall know I have a love hate. I LOVE them so much. But that ending SUCKED. The romance was sprinkled so don't expect so much. It was a family drama with lots of redemption that wasn't deserved. I watched for these two.
Tumblr media
Wrong Carriage Right Groom-kind of boring but at the same time I enjoyed them? Just wish they went a more mature route.
Tumblr media
Forever Love- OKAY HEAR ME OUT. It's a mini drama. It's bad but it's good and I know yall know wtf I mean.
Tumblr media
Hello I'm At Your Service-He picks "mature" romances and I appreciate that.
Tumblr media
Promise in the Summer-HEAR ME OUT AGAIN, ya'll cannot expect perfection out of mini dramas. This was just fun and I admit that. Their height difference>>> the comfort scene>>> Just a good time.
Tumblr media
Parallel Worlds-chem was there. A bit rushed in some aspects, but if they would have cut this drama DOWN some episodes it would have benefited the other points of the story. Good fantasy though like very interesting world.
Tumblr media
You Are Desire-he is soooo good looking and she fits him well. But the career choice for him and the storyline following was such a snooooze.
Tumblr media
Hidden Love-controversial drama but I SWEAR you watch episode 1 and then skip like 4 episodes and its smooth sailing. It's not creepy but they have a girl playing her younger self that looks way too young and she's not THAT much younger so it made it seem weird. This was a VERY well done drama.
Tumblr media
A Date With the Future-Long and boring.
The Furthest Distance-very beautiful and I love Leo but the pacing is weird to me and the ex is annoying.
Tumblr media
Dine with Love-a horrible Male lead. Like he's the worst. But you root for them. idk. Makes you hungry
Tumblr media
My Everlasting Bride-mini drama with a mini budget as ya'll know. I had a good time for the two hours. Yes it was absolutely ridiculous. He was so fine.
Tumblr media
My Decoy Bride-I mean. They were pretty. Another mini.
Tumblr media
The Snow Moon-another mini. It's tragic. And I actually enjoyed for the most part and thought because it's mini that it would end differently. NOPE.
Tumblr media
The inextricable Destiny- they do everything in THEIR POWER to make you hate this drama. There were so many points where they could've done better and didnt. I hate that. Don't waste your time.
Fireworks of my Heart-Unpop opinion but he makes incredibly boring dramas. Female lead has NO backbone. And he promises he wont go back but does.

Can we have some platonic or romantic reader x Zane from lego ninjago?
Sure! I’m gonna go with romantic <3 (also this will take place in the time skip between seasons five and six)
Warnings: food/eating mention, some sad Zane
Relationship: established Zane x gn reader
Tumblr media
Dating Zane would turn out to be pretty hard. Of course, your new boyfriend was practically perfect— he was smart, kind, funny, and he could cook! But he was also a nindroid, which made him stand out in public.
Zane was by nature a quiet person, and would much rather stay home instead of go out only to be mobbed by curious people, or fans of his.
On one of these date nights, you sat on a bench near the end of one of Ninjago’s fishing piers, waiting for Zane to pick you up. The Destiny’s Bounty usually sat idle in the open ocean, so when you went to visit, Zane always have you a lift on his ice dragon.
Though ninjago city had been warm and sunny all day, the setting sun and proximity to the ocean made you shiver.
Something caught your attention. Blue light glowing against the darkening sky, reflecting off the calm sea. Yep, that’s Zane.
You smiled up at him as he landed the barely-corporeal ice dragon on the pier, making the old wooden planks creak.
Zane slid off of the dragon to meet you. “You look nice,” he said with a big smile.
You blushed slightly, thanking him. Zane gave you compliments often, but it still made you so happy.
Zane helped you climb onto the back of the dragon before quickly jumping on to sit behind you. He gave you a quick hug. “Are you cold?” He asked, having noticed you shivering.
“Maybe a little bit,” you said with a shaky laugh. In truth, the combination of Zane’s elemental dragon, the chilly wind from the ocean, and his cold metal body against your back were making you freezing.
“Don’t worry, I prepared a nice hot meal for when we get home.”
You smiled. “That sounds great!”
Once Zane’s dragon took off and began flying, the rushing wind made it hard to talk. The lull in conversation gave you an opportunity to reflect on your time together.
You had been dating Zane for a little over a year now, and things were going great. At first it was hard to get used to his hectic life— soon after you started dating, he got swept up in a huge fight with a bunch of ghosts, and that had been pretty stressful— but other than that, it had been smooth sailing.
It had been pretty funny when you first met his team— the rest of the ninja certainly were just as odd as Zane, in their own unique ways. Though you didn’t see them as often, they were really friendly, and you got along well.
When you reached the Bounty, Zane helped out off the dragon and onto the swaying deck of the ship. The dragon disappeared, and the two of you were left in near darkness, the dim glow of Zane’s blue eyes casting you in light.
Zane breathed a sigh. “It’s been a while since I’ve had to keep the dragon out that long… next time we should just pick you up with the boat.” He said with a small laugh.
“I thought conjuring an energy dragon was about conquering your fears,” you said as the two of you made your way into the cabin of the ship.
Zane shrugged. “Well, I’m always a little nervous when you fly with me— I don’t want you to get hurt.” He led you into the kitchen
You smiled warmly. “That’s sweet, Zane— I’m never worried, you know… I feel safe with you.” You said shyly, avoiding eye contact by taking a look at the food he’d prepared.
“Aw, thanks—“ Zane started, but was quickly interrupted.
“How did you know my favorite!” You said excitedly, grabbing a dish to serve yourself. “It looks so good!”
Zane laughed, beaming. “Well, Nya told me you mentioned it to her a while back…”
You smiled wide. He went out of his way to do this… you thanked him, getting yourself a portion of the food.
“Of course, I love seeing you happy.” Zane said earnestly as he put a pot of tea on the modern-looking hibachi in the dining room. As a nindroid, Zane didn’t have the organs to eat food, but he did love tea.
You sat down on the cushion next to where Zane always sat— you usually sat across from him (better for talking, you know) but that night you wanted to be close to him.
“So how’ve you been?” You asked, still focused on your food.
“Well, I’m pretty pleased— we’ve had the day off from training, so that was nice.” Zane said, with a smile in his voice.
You looked up to catch him staring at you— he quickly turned forward to pour himself a cup of tea, spilling a little.
“What are you looking at?” You asked, wanting to tease him a little.
“You,” he answered truthfully as he used his sleeve to wipe up the spill. He then took a sip, burning his tongue. “Ow!”
“How can you get burned if you’re a nindroid?” You asked conversationally. “Plus, you’re the master of ice.”
“I can feel some things, you know.” He said, sticking two cold metal fingers in his mouth to sooth the burn. “Mostly on my face.”
Your face heated up. “You can feel when we kiss?” You weren’t quite sure why that made you embarrassed.
“Of course!” Zane said, going back to drinking his tea, slowly and carefully this time. “What did you think?” He smiled, amused.
You laughed awkwardly. “I don’t know. I guess that’s normal.”
Zane nodded. “I like it, by the way.”
“What?”
“Just so you don’t worry about it. I like kissing and hugging you.” Zane stated plainly.
You smiled, looking down at the table. “…Yeah, you too.” It took a lot of getting used to to be so physically affectionate with someone who was literally made of titanium, but it was nice.
Zane was quiet for a moment. “Does it bother you that I’m not normal?”
You were surprised at the question. You didn’t think rational, smart Zane would be insecure about something like that, if at all. “No way! I think you’re great just the way you are.”
Zane smiled. “Even though I’m cold?”
“Yeah, I don’t mind!” You said reassuringly, hugging him.
“I used to be more human. Have I ever told you?”
You shook your head. “Well, I know you got rebuilt…”
“Here, check this out.” Zane pulled out his phone and scrolled through most of his photos, all the way back to the beginning. There was a group photo of the entire ninja team.
It took you a moment to recognize him. Zane zoomed in on a smiling face in the middle. You saw a tall teenage boy with short blond hair wearing a white ninja gi. And he did look human.
“Wow, that does look pretty different,” you didn’t really know what to say.
Zane nodded, smiling at the picture a little sadly. “You know, I used to think I was a human for a while. Funny that I never realized.” He turned off his phone and put it away.
Zane still smiled as he sipped his tea, but the energy in the room was different. Bittersweet.
“Sorry for all that. I didn’t mean to ruin the mood.” Zane said, trying to laugh it off.
You leaned against him, still eating your food, knowing it would diffuse the tension. “No, it’s okay. I like hearing what you’re thinking.”
Zane nodded. “I… sometimes wish I could be human again. Well, not again, but you know…” he said. He sounded so tired.
You nodded, though you didn’t really understand.
“…so thanks.“
You met Zane’s eyes again. “What do you mean?”
Zane leaned his head against yours, a genuinely happy smile on his face. “My life is very… weird. I always have to save Ninjago from ghosts, and snakes, and even other nindroids. Being with you makes me feel normal.” He explained.
You felt the exact opposite, but in a good way— as an average citizen of Ninjago City, you didn’t have the most exciting life. Meeting Zane and the rest of the ninja had made your weekends very eventful. This new friend group was a lot of fun.
“I love you, Zane.”
Zane’s smile broadened. “I love you too.”
Zane kissed you then. It was cold, but not bad. In fact, it was the best kiss you had ever shared.
A/N: hi I hope you like this! I had fun writing it :) Zane is one of my favorite characters to write for in Ninjago!

(Long Post)
Hopefully all of you had a wonderful year 2023 - successful, joyous, and healthy. While we wish each other 'HNY' on January 1st, a few of us while responding to the wishes, also reflect and think of the year gone by and, in the hindsight, pray that they don’t go through the bumpy patches again.
Thirteen days down the line while a cold wave sweeps the city and a grey sky adds to the gloom, I suppose it is time to look back at the year 2023 while tucked in a warm duvet with a cup of hot coffee or a glass of rum in hand.
But then going back is not easy unless one has maintained a meticulous account, a diary of sorts. It is difficult to recall all events - so before I began writing this I put down a broad selection of month wise events after which it was easier to sum it up.
The year 2023 was tiring and tough, though equally rewarding. At times trying and testing, at the others back breaking and on a few occasions frustrating to downright unpassable. Yet, the time-hardened bones, the stubbornness not to back down, to take it all upfront - not just face it but challenge it too - sailed me through. I can now say with a grin that both the clock and the time looked back and smiled. That reward was bigger than the financial one.
Till about the second week of March 2023 things were sailing smooth at work and home. Towards the last week we went to Bhopal to mount the exhibition ‘Hum Sab Sahmat: Resisting a Nation without Citizens’ (‘We All Agree’ - a testament to resisting a nation being shaped without its citizens). That’s where we got the news that two of our friends had been hospitalised. We rushed back only to see both of them pass away in a matter of three days. Comrade Suneet Chopra was first one to leave us and dear dear friend Vivan Sundaram followed on 29 March 2023. It was a huge setback.
Back at work picking up the threads I was debating the existential crisis that the death of a dear one leaves one with. Though a little hard to push, yet the wheel of life carries on gently patting the past.
Somehow I have always found that the Financial Year has a kind of continuity with the calendar year. As one settles in the comfort zone of a benign April suddenly challenges pounce on you from a hidden corner. Till then I was pretty much enjoying whatever came my way and what I was doing, professionally or on a personal level. I was more than happy with last years' financials and with the healthy number of projects in our hand. Come May, the first unseasonal rain and a burst of seepage from the second floor terrace of our home brought with it an unending spate of problems at home which was also doubling up as part-office. Lo and behold, a civil works contractor and a melee of labour took over our place in an army-like operation disrupting everything for the next three months.
Between the work supervision and rounds to the market I could barely attend to work. On the professional front work suffered, deadlines overshot, clients screamed, and expenses piled. How can one even pretend to be creative and churn out campaigns or designs that satisfy the soul while one is tumbling over sacks of cement and slipping over stone dust, how? Most unhappy with myself and the team I was losing my shirt on everyone around which made matters worse. Fortunately, I got a grip on myself in time and calmed down before things went out of hand. The pressure of office work was increasing so did the delays at home caused by absentee workmen.
On June 1st bad news came from Dubai. My life-time mentor and guide Zamir Ansari passed away after a massive heart attack. I was devastated. We had a long association of nearly 35 years. He was the most gentle, the kindest and a god-like being who helped anyone with everything he had. While his loss jolted me no end, at a memorial meeting for Mr Ansari something good came up. I shook hands with two people with whom a misunderstanding had cropped up a few years back. In my heart I felt much lighter having cleansed my heart and having made-up with them. There is so much good in the world to see, feel, share, and give. Life trudged.
Home renovation is an unending pain. Once you start fixing seepage, masonry creeps in together with water-proofing; plumbing replacement brings down functional bathrooms which need to be redone from the scratch. Electricals and woodwork soon follow which necessitates paint work and floor polishing, if not entire floor replacement. The whole house was in a mess. It was physically and mentally draining running up and down the three levels at the peak of summers. With the dust and noise all around us Ma fell ill and then all of us followed one after another, flu, sore throats, congestion and the viral fever kept us down. A nagging threat of corona persisted with unmasked labour sauntering around the house for ten hours each day. With tea and snacks to be served twice a day to a team of thirty odd workers, the household help and the kitchen was operating more like a free-canteen about to collapse any day.
In between the saving grace was a decent exhibition design and execution project that came our way. Normally of short duration but hectic, exhibition projects are well paying, we made a packet for a week of sleepless nights.
While all this was happening I managed to hurt my knee and limped my way through latching on to stair railings and walls. Over weeks it came to a point that I couldn't attend to work or even go for my morning walks. The orthopaedic said that I had a bone abrasion and had torn knee-joint ligaments. A busy work season had begun. With September came the festival rush of north India. Visits to the doctor and the physiotherapist were added to the hectic work schedule. Work pressure continued without respite (good it did).
We hadn't had a break for over seven months. Not even a decent and calm Sunday. Catching a drink in peace seemed luxury. No friends, no party, no outings. Life was dull and boring only dealing with masons, plumbers, carpenters, painters, welders, electricians and floor polishers. Finally, and somehow having pushed everyone out, we managed to get the house back in shape and sing with us sometime in October. It was such a relief.
While we were enjoying our wine and cheese and the music played in the background a hearty duet joined the chorus. My brother and his wife, from pardes, joined us in the freshly redone space. Warmth filled the place. From then onwards it was a party each morning, noon, and night. Evenings were only for drinks which drowned us. World Cup Cricket was here - the fever gripped us too. Succumbing to the loot by the black marketeers we headed to the Private Gallery view of matches in Chennai and Ahmedabad. The on-ground cricket entertainment is a different game. It is heady when you know that the rest of the universe is watching the game 17 seconds after you.
Bad news somehow smells of the relative peace and joy one is enjoying. This time it came from Palestine. Innocent Gazans have had to suffer unending brutalities at the hands of Israeli forces for over three months now.
Clients were kind during the next two months. No one was dying or flying. No one asked for a brochure at the last minute. No press conference wanted a PR push, no Annual Reports were delayed. All in all work sailed smoothly.  There were more holiday breaks and parties than work during this time. Festivals, together with a spate of birthdays, meant celebrations. Fun and frolic carried on with heritage walks, concerts, visits to monuments and museums, excesses of street food topped with heady overdose of drinks.
Finally, as all good things end, so do parties and celebrations. Work pressure increased together with the knee pain. Brother and bhabhi went back home. Life was coming back to the drudgery of a routine when the happy bells rang.
A new, prestigious, and fairly large exhibition project came our way. This one was to happen in Shahjahanabad - inside the great monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan. I fell in love with the Red Fort all over again as we had the special permission to drive our car straight inside the Fort through the historical Delhi Darwaza with its life-size elephant statues guarding the magnificent edifice and its age-old secrets. Despite the limp and the pain it was a joy to work inside the 17th Century fort. Even in the peace and quiet of Diwan-i-khas I could hear the nautch girls sing and dance.
The commute from Gurgaon to purani Delhi was a dampener but it also had the bait of 'Delhi 6 ka khaana'. The near 5,000 sq feet of our exhibition space finally turned out as a stunning art gallery overlooking the Mughal grandeur spread around us. Decked with priceless artworks from across the country the hall looked like a haseen dulhan. The design and the display was appreciated and applauded. In our hearts we were more than happy for having done a bloody-good job.
The successful completion of a project has to be celebrated, so, leaving the foggy and cold Delhi behind, off we went to the balmy and sunny coastal Kerala. The year was coming to an end and we knew that one has to reward oneself for the accompanishment/s and all the hard work. Driving along the south-western coast we rode further down south from historic Kochi to the backwaters of Alleppey to Trivandrum and to the blue-water and white-sand beaches of Kovalam enjoying fish fillets and toddy - all the way through watching Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam performances while admiring the pollution free sparkling blue skies. While in Kovalam as I watched the sun set behind the Arabian sea two clients called to say that their "Calendar designs" were delayed. What???? Didn’t you get an auto reply saying I am out of town? Ugghhhh!!!
I wondered, could I complain to the sun why was it setting, could I? A fishing boat crossed the pale orange sphere as it dipped in blue waters. A flock of birds were circling the boat waiting for the catch. A few stars peeped out from the dark northern sky. I poured a drink.
Designers and artists can't complain even when their dreams are broken.
To sum up, the year 2023 indeed was tough yet it was rewarding in more ways than one. Hoping that 2024 will be kind and joyous for all of us, personally I look forward to more vacations, explorations, more journeys and more laid back weeks over work, work and work. Cheers to all of you. Stay safe and stay in love.

A look back at 2023
I rarely wrote anything here nowadays. Having someone to talk to really changed a lot. But hey, this has been a tradition, so let's look back at 2023.
The year started slow, at least for several days, until  I was told to attend a Welding Inspector course. At that time, it had been years since I even hold an electrode holder. Suddenly everything changed. Until the end of March, my days were filled with classes and practice, for six days a week, 10 hours a day. The course were finished, and now I am an IWIP, probably (I haven't even received the diploma, but I wasn't invited for the retest).
This year, I went back and forth between Bandung, Solo and Purwokerto, to meet the love of my life. She graduated this August after such a struggle, so that was great.
Even though I still had less than two years in this job, I became a speaker on two different events. One for a Failure Analysis forum, and the other for a Solidworks event. After finishing my Welding Inspector course, I was also asked to teach the next batch of WI students on Destructive Testing module. For these experiences, I still need to learn a lot on how to speak in front of many people. Especially when teaching, I felt that I messed up on the timing and flow of the class.
Then, my first in-situ metallography job! And the second, and third, and fourth. They were tiring, sometimes we had to work nights, but those were interesting nonetheless.
On that family issue, I think it was pretty much finished, after spending quite a lot of money. Tho perhaps some help is still needed in the future. Oh, and shits still happened. Of course, that single person fucked up.
And all of a sudden, my relationship with @vanilachocolate progressed quite far. Hopefully everything will be a smooth sailing next year *fingers crossed*.
Writing this, I realized that a lot, and I mean A LOT, has happened this year. But again and again, I kept feeling that I didn't really grow much. I still feel lost, having no idea on where to go and what to do to improve myself. The department where I work at now is in a mess, and I'm having a hard time to move on from my previous job. I even attended a webinar that was not related at all to my current job, just because it had some relation to my previous one (the webinar was about Industrial Design). Even I had this crazy idea, to get certified as a national IP consultant, and perhaps I can return to my previous career. It was a very long shot, but honestly, I'm not sure about anything else.
When I finished typing this, light earthquake shook. The second time today. Before various dark thoughts come, let me close this year by wishing that 2024 will be a kind year for all of us here.

Level 65 - 5 Years, 5 Months On Testosterone
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, it's been a hell of a long time since I last did this. Almost like a pandemic happened and made me forget because there were slightly more pressing matters at hand. But it's just past trans day of visibility, so figured I should provide some sort of update here.
First big change since you last saw me do this is that I got top surgery. I'm now about two and a bit years past when it happened, and it wasn't completely smooth sailing. Surgery itself went fine, but I ended up having some of my stitching come out during recovery. That's, like, a whole other story, though. It could take up several paragraphs here. I got the periareolar one done, with my chest being just on the borderline of being too big for it, but I begged them to let me have that one, as it'd always been my preferred one if possible.
I'm still trying to get on the waiting list for bottom surgery, but even trying to get through to the GIC to make progress is a nightmare right now. I don't help my case by being someone who absolutely despises making phone calls, so I only try getting in touch by email. I've asked to be put on the list, twice, but I have not received any confirmation if it's happened. Really wish that I wasn't dependent on this whole GIC system, but here we are.
Besides that, in terms of testosterone changes, things have been pretty stable for a while now. My voice hasn't gotten much deeper for like a good couple years. I am a hairy boy - saw it coming, thanks to having beheld my dad swimming, and seeing that we were three for three in having facial hair among my grandfathers and dad as well.
I am still a very physically weak man. Exercise took a backseat for a lot of the lockdown period of the pandemic, as well as me doing very little exercise post-surgery on surgeon's orders. I've really only started picking it up again relatively recently, after moving out of the house I always take these selfies in (my old room - now my dad's work from home office - still has a mirror in it). I can do only about 15 push-ups before I have to stop for a breather, as my endurance has remained atrocious. I managed to do ten bicep curls in a row per arm with dumbbells weighing 8.5kg each, but I truly just reached that point. I can do like 100 sit ups on a workout bench or 50 on the floor in mostly one go, though. And I can do a plank for like two and a half minutes on a good day. So, y'know, I'm not in terrible shape, but I could be better. I want to do bouldering more regularly, but that requires breaking my existing routine to do so, so I find it hard to go very often. At least me and my flatmate walk in to work some days.
I have gained a noticeable amount of weight, compared to my last update, but that's honestly more to do with the fact that I moved out and got a job. My flatmate works at the same place I do, so we go to work at the same time. So I actually eat breakfast every day because they'd quickly notice if I didn't. Lunch is covered by our work, but it's Deliveroo from select places, so it's not the healthiest stuff we have as options. And dinner, again, flatmate and I get back at the same time and make dinner together most nights. Might not seem like a big deal, but before I had a job and moved out, I regularly slept in and didn't have a proper meal until dinner time. So funnily enough, I'm not surprised jumping from one meal a day to three has caused weight gain.
My mental health is an open question as always. I've described myself as "one thing going wrong away from a mental breakdown", and I still think that's accurate. I'm still on meds for anxiety and depression, and I still feel noticeable effects when I forget to take them. I don't think they're going away any time soon. Top surgery has helped with some of the mental health stuff, since it's one less thing for me to worry about on a daily basis, but... y'know, bottom dysphoria still exists, and it's bad. I did make some friends during university which helped to make things tolerable when I definitely otherwise would've been alone, since I pushed a lot of my high school friends away after I dropped out. I'm not in a relationship, and not only do I have limited desire to be until I learn how to take care of myself better, but I still have no idea what anyone would see in me.
I never know how to end these things. I don't know when I'll next remember to actually do one of these, because it's been a long-ass time since I did it before. Maybe I'll do a more detailed update about my top surgery experience. Maybe the folks that follow me ain't here for this, but if my post makes it across the dashboard or in the search of another person going through it, maybe it'll be helpful.
It's kind of why I started doing this in the first place.

grt3D episode 12: the logarithm labyrinth
Tumblr media
square and droplet were lying on their beds late at night, wide awake.
“okay, so…” droplet started. “what’s your favorite number?”
“27,” square replied.
“favorite color?”
“gray.”
“favorite song?”
“fallen angle by poison. how about you?”
“well, um… 3, rainbow, and somebody to love by quintuple.”
“i love quintuple!” square exclaimed. “oh, have you listened to their song with data bowie?”
“under pressure? of course!”
“not to mention other classic bands like fleetwood math, blue öval cult, guns and rulers…”
“i love those! wow, we have a lot in common!” droplet smiled.
“in terms of our music taste, anyway… hey, y’know what else we have in common?
“what?”
“we’re both pretty darn awesome. we were so on top of today’s challenge.”
“you’re right. i wonder what we’ll do today…”
“nothing a pair of wings can’t help!” droplet’s wings were sitting on one of the empty beds.
“you don’t know that.”
“yeah, no, i don’t.” square sat up. “y’know, if origin already knows every challenge we’re gonna do, i wonder if i can trick him into telling us. so we can prepare ahead of time.”
“i mean we could, in theory. but that wouldn’t be very nice, would it?”
“i guess not…” a pause. “hey, i just realized i’m the only group twoer left. i mean, i knew already that my friends had been eliminated, but darn, they were my whole team then.”
“star and i are the only cool kids. i wonder how he’s doing?”
“you wanna find out?”
“can i?”
square smiled at her.
the two left the cabin and started walking towards the homeslices’. droplet approached the window and looked through, to see star staring right at her! or… through her?
“aah!” she yelped, falling backwards.
“golly!” he cried, shaking himself. he left his cabin and joined her outside. “droplet, what in math are you doing here?”
“i wanted to see how you’re doing, that’s all.”
“well i’m doing fine, buddy! bit nervous about tomorrow morning’s elimination, but otherwise, smooth sailing for me.”
“think you might get eliminated?”
“maybe.”
“well, if you do, you’ll get to see heart again!”
star chuckled sadly. “that’s the thing…”
“what?” droplet blinked at him.
“i want to prove to heart that i’ve really changed for the better. i only want to see him once i’m worthy to be his friend again.”
“but you’ve already grown so much, star!”
star smiled. “i know i have. but i want to be even better!”
square was leaning on the side of the cabin. “i think that’s a noble goal,” he said. “good luck with that.”
“hey, you haven’t wanted to win for a while, have you?” star asked.
“nope. i’m glad you two want to, though. hope you don’t get eliminated tomorrow.”
“thanks.” star looked slightly uneasy.
“hey, star,” droplet piped up. “...what’s your favorite song?”
“what makes you beautiful by one dimension. why?”
“noooo!” square cried over-dramatically. “he’s not one of us!”
“next thing we know he’s gonna say he listens to odd sheeran!” droplet chimed in, laughing. “unironically!”
star shook his head affectionately. “good night to neither of you.” and he went back into his cabin.
“i bet everyone else here also has garbage taste in music,” square retorted.
“all the more reason why we’re on the same team…!” droplet giggled.
“so, oval… how was your first day of co-hosting?”
“not bad, not bad… well, i guess it was a little rough.”
origin sighed. “yup. that’s just how it is around here… the contestants are always mad about something. and i don’t blame them.”
“neither do i. hey, what’ll we do if möbius never comes back?” oval had a worried expression. “then the winner won’t be able to go to the 3rd dimension… this’ll all be for nothing…”
“there’s nothing i can really do to get in contact with möbius strip, unfortunately.”
“hey, how did you end up working for him anyway? what’s your connection to him?”
“well, hm… möbius strip heard about me from my older sister a while back, and she has basically the same abilities i do. then he used his powers to come here, and he found me, and he told me about this idea he had for a game show. he told me that hey, he could travel between the 2nd and 3rd dimensions, and that it’d be fun if he could have a little competition where a shape could win the ability to go to the 3rd dimension. he just wanted my help with some stuff, and i obliged, as i had nothing better to do.”
“but why you in particular?”
“well, because of my sister he knew about my ability to access the paradox. maybe that’s why?”
“do you not know?”
“no, not really.”
oval was still curious. “how long have you known möbius strip?”
origin paused to think. “well, i–”
“hey guys!” hexagon greeted, hand in hand with octagon. “we’re back to our early morning walks.”
“oh!” oval exclaimed. “good morning, you two!”
“how are you?”
“i’m doing well. hey, glad to see you two cheering up a bit since yesterday morning.”
octagon smiled slightly. “yeah. we’ve had time to process.”
“good thing we did that during the challenge rather than instead of it!” hexagon chuckled.
“yup. we talked afterward too, though.”
hexagon nudged octagon with her elbow. “late into the night…! just like we’re on a sleepover…!”
octagon rolled her eyes but couldn’t stop herself from smiling. “shut up.”
“hey, you think it’s time to wake everyone up?” oval asked origin.
“yeah, um, probably. you wanna do it?”
“sure! i’ll be back in a jiff.”
as oval left to rouse the other contestants, origin translated over to hexagon and octagon. “so?” he asked eagerly. “what’s up with you two?”
“nothing,” octagon muttered, biting her pacifier. “we’re just…really good friends now. we talk a lot.”
“for hours and hours~!” hexagon said in a dreamy sort of voice. she chuckled. “sorry, it’s just cute when you get flustered.”
“aaugh!! shut up!!!!”
as oval was walking over to the cabins, he spotted something strange behind a bush; he picked it up and tucked it away.
soon enough, he returned to the main field with the other contestants.
“so?” parallelogram asked origin drily. “who’s next on your list?”
origin edged back uncomfortably. “we’ll get to the elimination in a moment. how’s everyone doing?”
“pretty good,” square said. droplet nodded.
“yeah, i’m okay,” star agreed.
“okay, well, yes,” origin continued, “it is time for the elimination.”
“and the homeslices lost yesterday’s challenge,” oval said. “so one of you will be sent to the paradox.”
“you may take this time to talk.”
parallelogram looked at his teammates. both looked antsy.
“to talk about what?” he asked. “enough with the theatrics, origin. you know who’s being eliminated. just spit it out already…”
origin sighed. “okay… the eliminated contestant is, um… parallelogram.”
“i knew it!” parallelogram cried. “i swear to the primes!”
“i’m really sorry, parallelogram.” origin began to buzz.
heptagon stared up at him with wide, glistening eyes. “parry…”
“take it easy, heptagon,” parallelogram said in a grave voice as he floated towards origin. “and star… figure out what you wanna do, and do it. just make my elimination worth it…”
star nodded silently as origin vanished, parallelogram gone with him.
“okay,” oval went on, “origin told me what today’s challenge is going to be, so i might as well explain it to you all.”
“yeah, go ahead,” square said.
“okay. so just northwest of where we are right now is the logarithm labyrinth.”
“oh, i’ve heard of that place!” hexagon piped up. “it’s this complicated cave system, right?”
“you got it! it’s this system of really intricate caves, like a maze. the challenge will be to get from one end of the tunnels to the other. but what’s important to note is that only one member of your team needs to reach the other side for you to be safe. the last team to have someone get across will be up for elimination.”
“that doesn’t sound too bad,” droplet said. “right?”
origin soon reappeared. “oval, you explained everything?”
“indeed i did!”
“okay! so i’ll take you all over there. now hold still everyone~!” origin began to buzz again.
“hey, can you not take me?” oval asked. “i just want to walk.”
“oh, okey doke!” the remaining shapes lost their limbs and stuck to origin; together they translated over to the logarithm labyrinth, oval right behind them.
origin released the contestants, still missing their arms and legs. but before he could use his powers to fix that, a beam of light hit them all.
“the grapher!” origin gasped, seeing oval holding it proudly. “that’s where that thing went!”
“i found it by a bush,” oval explained.
“how about you hold onto it for now? so i don’t lose it again?”
“sounds like a plan!” oval gave him a thumbs up.
“okay, so are we starting?” octagon asked, crowded around the labyrinth entrance with the other contestants who now had their limbs.
“oh, yes! 3… 2… 1… go!”
everyone squeezed through the opening to find a large cavern with many tunnels branching off of it.
“i think we should split up,” square said. “only one of us needs to get to the end, after all.”
“okey doke!” droplet replied. “i’ll see you on the other side!” she popped into one of the tunnels, while square popped into another.
“we should probably do the same,” hexagon told octagon.
“oh…” octagon frowned. “i thought we’d do it together…”
hexagon paused, then shook herself. “y’know what? yeah. c’mon, octagon!” she grabbed her hand and led her into a tunnel.
star began to go one way, with a sulking heptagon trailing behind him.
“y’know, heptagon,” star piped up, stopping, “we don’t both need to get to the other side. you can just relax if you want.”
“but that’ll lessen your chances of–”
“shshh, i don’t care, dude! i’m still figuring out if i even want to win! just go back and take a nap. that’s the most helpful thing you could do right now.”
star smiled. heptagon’s harshly lined face softened. “...okay. thank you.” with that, heptagon turned back.
“now it’s just you and me, star,” star said to himself. “just you and me…”
droplet was pretty small, so she found it relatively easy to navigate through the tunnels – there were little crevices and narrow shortcuts that few others would likely be able to fit through.
it’s weird going this alone, she thought. it’s for the best of course, but i dunno… it’s weird. hey, what’s that?
she had spotted a crystal poking out of the tunnel’s rocky wall, and marveled at it for a moment.
meanwhile, origin and oval had made their way to the other side of the labyrinth to wait for the contestants as they exited; origin had his camera lens.
suddenly, oval groaned.
“what is it?” origin asked.
“i forgot to tell them all to be careful. sometimes the walls break up and rocks go flying around – i hope none of them get hurt…”
“i’m sure they’ll be fine, don’t worry.”
“you’re probably right…” but oval remained uneasy.
“also, i’m just now realizing that the eliminated contestants won’t be seeing much. it’s not like i can broadcast inside the labyrinth itself…”
hexagon bumped into a wall. “oy vey, a dead end.”
“i guess we should’ve gone right at the fork, not left,” octagon said. “we’ll just retrace our steps.”
“okey doke! you lead the way, octy!”
the two began to walk in the other direction.
“y’know, octagon…” hexagon said, “sorry for making so many jokes about, um, us being good friends now, and us talking and stuff… you just have such a funny reaction to it!”
“hm.” octagon stopped as they reached the fork in the tunnel, and took the path they previously hadn’t taken. “well, for the record, i’m not actually that bothered by it. i just have to wonder… how is my reaction funny???”
“i dunno, it just is! it’s adorable!” hexagon giggled. “you look away and your face gets all red whenever i so much as mention the fact that we talk…”
“well it’s because you make it sound like it’s a big deal!!! when it isn’t!!!!!” octagon stopped herself and took a breath. “...i just did it again, didn’t i?”
meanwhile, square was traversing the caverns by himself.
it’s just like the time i was going it alone through the forest for the turf war challenge, he thought grimly. the other three are in the paradox without me… i wonder if they miss me…
he soon found himself at a dead end and shook his head. “how many dead ends has this been? 5? screw this.” he kicked the rocky tunnel wall in frustration.
a distant rumble could be heard…
heptagon had just exited the cave. suddenly, the tunnel walls that had just enclosed him broke up into rocky pieces, blocking the passageway.
“geez,” he muttered to himself. “i got out just in time.”
hm, he thought. where would it be easiest for me to relax? should i stay here? or go back to the cabins? or go around to where origin and oval are? …i’m overthinking this, aren’t i?
so heptagon simply sat down right by the labyrinth and closed his eyes.
hexagon and octagon were still chatting as they made their way through.
“guess what!” hexagon exclaimed.
“what?” octagon responded.
“i heard that droplet won the citywide storytelling contest this past year.”
“oh really? wow.”
“yeah. and kite got first prize in a creative writing competition.”
“have you gotten any awards?”
“well…” hexagon chuckled sheepishly, “maybe a few…”
“wait – you’re the one who won the citywide spelling bee five years in a row! that’s you!”
“the one and only!”
“that’s crazy!” octagon nudged her affectionately. “you’re like a celebrity!”
“hey!”
“when we get back i have to get your autograph.”
“knock it off!” hexagon nudged her back. “i bet you’ve gotten your fair share of achievements yourself.”
“you don’t know that!”
“oh c’mon octagon, you’re a smart cookie!”
“so you’re gonna steal me? you cookie thief?”
the two burst into laughter.
“but really,” hexagon continued. “i bet you got straight As in grade school. gold honor roll. ms. valedictorian herself.”
“yeah, you got me…”
“what was your score on the SAT?”
“1520. why?”
“oh my primes!” hexagon laughed. “you’re insane!”
“no, you’re insane!”
at the same time, star was walking through the tunnels at a casual pace, talking to himself.
“it’s been, like, a week since heart was eliminated. that’s crazy, man! hey, this place looks familiar…”
he found himself in a large cavern.
“i’m right back at the beginning, aren’t i!” he exclaimed. “lol, oh well…”
star began to pace back and forth in the empty space before him, thinking to himself.
i only really signed up for this whole thing so i could hang out with him, he pondered, so i could hang out with this IDEA of him. i had just attached myself so strongly to the idea of a perfectly happy, carefree heart… when that isn’t real. there’s no perfectly happy, carefree star either.
“what am i doing with myself now?” he said aloud. “i don’t know if heart and i will be friends after this… but that shouldn’t be all i’m thinking of. i need to do something with myself.”
he looked toward one of the tunnels.
“i need to win.”
droplet had found a multitude of crystals in the labyrinth walls. and they were colorful! everything in geometropolis was gray, minus its inhabitants – so droplet’s eyes were wide in awe at the sight of these marvelous gems.
the crystals made a path through the caverns which she followed eagerly. much to her surprise, droplet saw the light creeping in at the end of the tunnel! she had found the exit!
“AAAAAAAAAAAH!”
droplet jolted at the sound of the cry. it was square!
she ran back through the tunnels and finally reached her teammate, surrounded by broken cavern walls.
“what’s wrong?” droplet asked. “i heard you yell!”
“one of these rocks crushed my foot,” he groaned. “but i’m fine. sorry to worry you.”
“just glad you’re okay.”
“how far along were you?”
“i just found the exit…”
“oh…”
meanwhile, hexagon and octagon were continuing along at a steady pace.
“it’s hard to say who’s the toughest competition,” octagon said. “most of the others still in the game don’t really want to be.”
“i suppose you’re right,” hexagon responded. “square? no. heptagon? definitely not. star? not sure, but i don’t think so. as far as i know the only one who really wants to win is droplet.”
“hm.”
“i guess my toughest competition is you!” hexagon elbowed octagon playfully.
“...hey, i think that’s the exit!” octagon pointed ahead towards the light.
the two made it out of the labyrinth to greet origin and oval.
“and nothing without pentagon is the first team safe!” oval announced. “congratulations! now it’s down to go the DSTance and the homeslices!”
square sighed. “i’ll make my way. but go without me, droplet. i don’t want to slow you down.”
droplet hesitated. “okay.”
she ran off to find the crystals again, and noticed a flash of pink ahead of her.
“star!” she exclaimed.
he barely caught a glimpse of her as he sped past. “droplet!”
“it looks like a race between the last of us cool kids!”
“indeed it does!”
droplet was on star’s tail, but she couldn’t catch up to him. she spotted a little crevice in the wall and jumped through the shortcut, emerging a little ways in front of her old teammate.
“you’ve always been the inventive type!” star exclaimed, “but i won’t let that stop me!” he jumped ahead of her and kept running.
the two were coming up on the exit, lined with crystals sparkling in the light.
“i never knew you were so fast!” droplet huffed.
“i’ve never had a reason to run!”
“and there we go!” oval exclaimed. “the homeslices are safe! that means go the DSTance is up for elimination.”
droplet emerged from the labyrinth mere seconds after star and collapsed in exhaustion.
“that was epic,” star said, helping her up to her feet.
“hey,” origin started, “where’s heptagon and square?”
“square’s still inside,” droplet replied, an edge of concern to her voice. “his foot got smooshed by a rock… he’s coming out, but he’s probably going pretty slowly.”
“and heptagon’s somewhere,” star answered, “just not in the labyrinth. i told him to go take a nap.”
“where did he go?” origin asked.
“dunno. i thought he would’ve gone to you, but maybe he just plopped down by the entrance.”
“okay. hm, i have an idea…”
origin started buzzing; star, droplet, hexagon, and octagon all lost their limbs and stuck to him at once – and soon enough, square and heptagon were dragged over to him as well, like metal to a magnet.
“oh!” square gasped. “my foot can’t hurt if it’s gone.”
and so origin took the contestants back to the main field while oval followed behind him, using the grapher to return the arms and legs to his fellow shapes.
“does your foot still hurt?” droplet asked square.
“nope. it’s good as new. hey, sorry we lost.”
“it’s fine. anyway, it wasn’t your fault.”
square shrugged. “i dunno, it feels like it is.”
“well möbius strip is wrong. no need to feel bad.”
droplet smiled. square smiled back. “if you say so.”
octagon and hexagon had been chatting ever since they had emerged from the logarithm labyrinth, and continued to do so as they went to their cabin.
“so what about that autograph?” octagon asked cheekily.
“what do you want me to sign?” hexagon replied, grinning.
octagon lifted up her pacifier. “this!”
“AAAAH I HATE MӦBIUS STRIP I HATE THIS SHOW I HATE EVERYTHING!!!!”
“...hello to you too, parry.”
parallelogram suddenly rushed over to kite. “primes, how i’ve missed you! geez!”
kite chuckled. “i’ve missed you so much… hey, crazy to think heptagon is the last one of us still standing, huh?”
“yeah… he’s a good guy. he doesn’t deserve this.”
“you don’t deserve this either.”
“yeah, i don’t. screw möbius strip!! that pathetic jerkwad!!!”
“kinda hope he never comes back. origin is a much better host.”
“you got that right! but then the bar is incredibly low.”
“true.”
soon enough all of the inhabitants of the paradox gathered round to watch the contest – only to be treated with a static view of the mouth of a cave.
“this isn’t very exciting,” triangle said. “y’know what? how about we go over the standings again?”
“sounds like a plan,” trapezoid replied. “so who’s left?”
“we have hexagon and octagon on nothing without pentagon, square and droplet on go the DSTance, and heptagon and star on the homeslices,” rhombus said. “pretty interesting variety.”
“three who really want to win and three who really don’t…” heart murmured. “and yet all of them are d-doing pretty well for themselves.”
“we can all agree that heptagon does not want to be there,” rectangle said, “like at all. i’m on the fence about square – he came to the competition with the intention of winning, so i’m not ruling out the possibility of that coming back.”
“and he is a pretty darn good teammate,” trapezoid noted. “we should definitely watch out for him.”
“how about star?” pentagon asked. “i’ve never known what’s going on with him.”
“yeah, he’s a bit of a mystery,” circle said, “surprisingly enough. why is he here?”
“well, um…” heart started, “he j-just came here to have fun with me. of course, heh, at this p-point it’s clear that that didn’t really pan out…”
“so what’s he doing now?” parallelogram asked. “do you think he might want to actually win now?”
“maybe. he’s never cared about that kind of stuff before… but i d-dunno, things have changed.”
“hm.”
“well, okay, so we can put heptagon at the bottom,” kite concluded, “but from there it’s hard to tell. maybe we should go from the top down?”
“i’d say hexagon and octagon are at the top of their game,” triangle said. “those two are probably the ones to beat at the moment.”
“who would you say is stronger?” rectangle asked.
“i’d think hexagon, only by slightly,” rhombus interjected. “both are very strong, and work incredibly well together, but octagon seems to be a bit more volatile emotion-wise. hexagon has a better handle on things like that, at least generally speaking.”
“you’re not wrong,” trapezoid conceded.
“not to mention how hexagon is good at being sociable with anyone, while octagon’s only just getting used to this type of thing. once teams dissipate, which i’m assuming they will soon, hexagon will have more flexibility in terms of making alliances.”
everyone seemed to agree with this.
“so on top is hexagon and octagon,” circle restated. “then who?”
“rectangle’s right in that square might rediscover his desire to win,” parallelogram noted, “but as of right now? he still doesn’t really want to. he has potential, but at least in the current moment, square would place pretty low.”
“and i’d place star right next to him for the same reason,” kite said. “things have changed and he’s changed, but nobody has any clue what he’s really been up to lately or what he wants. at least up until now he has yet to definitively say he wants to win, but i could see him pushing through if it did come to that.”
“then droplet would g-go right below hexagon and octagon,” heart continued. “she isn’t the most skilled or experienced, sure, but she’s incredibly creative and great in teams – and she really does w-want to win!”
the group continued to discuss the state of the competition despite having little to no idea what the current challenge was. eventually, however, go the DSTance ended up losing.
“so…” triangle started. “how have things changed in the past 5 minutes…?”
“star is up,” rhombus said. “way, way up.”

“So, I went beyond...pluuuuuuuus ULTRA” (And other updates)
(Warning: unintentionally long)
Okay, but in all seriousness, I finally feel that I’ve progressed just far enough in the show to state that I got into My Hero Academia. Technically, I’d watched season one and like the first 2-3 episodes of two before, but I didn’t finish it, and now I’m trying to. At the moment I’m about halfway through season 2 and making steady progress. Side note: You SPOIL shit near me and you’re a DEAD MAN! Let me watttttch >:(
Honestly I am fucking loving the series right now, I think aside from Deku, my favorites are definitely Tsu (Froooooggie) and, well, Shoto. You saw that coming, I can understand why he’s an overrated favorite. Feel bad for the kid though, like damn, boi you got some serious daddy issues, would you like a popsicle?
And, having started back up on MHA, I’m getting *cough cough* ideas *cough* for potential AUs and such.
Which actually segues this into another thing, just general life updates.
We had a pretty bad freeze lately, but thank God we didn’t lose our entire state power grid this time around, so it was smooth sailing. Unless you count the fact that we had to go out because I needed to be at work while the roads were slippery as snot. Which, was only one day. So we’re fine.
I also had a fix on the house which has FINALLY deterred the Mystery Creature from showing up at night and disturbing my sleep. After months of restlessness, we found out that it was coming in through a vent outside under my bedroom, and we had it covered. That seemed to do the job, thank goodness.
For mental health and productivity, I can’t really say much on the case; things have been about as steady as they can be, but in that it hasn’t really gone anywhere up, and I’m afraid I might be teetering on top of another depressive slump. Which, at the very least I’m prepared for. I honestly thought it would have been sooner, I had a REALLY bad attack a couple weeks ago and I felt sure it was going to be lasting, but by some miracle, though the attack itself was horrendous, I managed to recover in a record time. The only big downside is that my trauma response seems to have “manifested” (for lack of a better word) into very severe body tremors and shaking. I can control it...somewhat...but it drains a lot out of me. Still, I suppose it’s become more manageable, in a tangible sense. I’m a little less worried about how I react mentally to triggers and more worried about how I react physically. That’s a much easier hurdle to take on, overall.
Though, mental barriers are just as much an issue, if for a slightly different reason, at the moment. I’m honestly really stuck, writing-wise. I have so much I want to work on and so much I try to work on, but just a few paragraphs in I get skeptical because the piece will become jarring and choppy, and hard to maintain. I’ve re-started the same baseline to a Clutch and Tyker fic about four times now.
I’m actually considering doing a deep-clean, throwing out concepts too old and too untouched to really go any further with. I will, of course, keep the important ones, and the pieces that are ongoing, but a lot of the stuff I have in the wings that hasn’t been released is just so fucking dead in the water, I either need to put it in the waiting room or drop it completely. So, not sure where that’s going yet.
Actually, come to think of it, the semi-annual is also coming up.
Been doing this for a few years now but as a re-reminder, I try to take social media times down significantly or else entirely 1-2 times a year, one in the spring and one in the autumn. April and September-October have been my best time frames for these, as they’re not only good distances apart, but they’re in relatively trauma-ey time periods that I need to focus on getting through rather than pushing past. Plus, it’s a great excuse to work on large scale projects and not feel any sort of production-line pressure I put on myself to get them out, because they’re all gonna get stacked in a corner to wait until my return.
So! In recap: I’m probably gonna stick around until April 10th (I wanna at LEAST get to have my 21st birthday in the company of my people) and then probably do a week or two heavily away from things, and then extended time kinda by the seat of my pants as needed. That’s still a ways out, but better prepared sooner than later!
That’s all the updates that I can think of for the time being, for now I’m kinda just trying to Vibe where I can. I want to work on things but my body is giving me a very big “no”, so. Sidelines week it is!
Hopefully you all have a relaxing and/or fun-filled weekend, and until the morrow!
