I think that Kumo's system for Jinchūriki is far better than the other villages. The idea of choosing an 'A' and a 'B' is really interesting, and I'm also just a fan of the inherent found family of choosing your own sibling. With that B then becoming the Jinchūriki, it provides far better support because there's a pre-existing love there. (On the other hand, I do think it can create a bit of a mortality crisis for the pre-existing B to know that this child is gonna replace you, but that's a topic for another day. None of the systems are perfect.)

I think that Killer B is what the rest of the villages were trying to achieve. He's the perfect Jinchūriki, and I would argue the First Real Jinchūriki in that he's really perfected it! He has control, he has a good and healthy dynamic with Gyūki, and he's really fucking powerful. And I think he was able to become this because Kumo's system encourages it.

Kumo's system both allows him more safety, given his closeness to the Raikage, and allowed him to become familiar with the idea of being a Jinchūriki and learn about it from Blue B before he inherited it. It's just... a conducive environment towards being able to approach it without being scared, which I think is absolutely imperative. (I'm not saying it was easy, by any means, but I think there's just a difference to be made when it comes to being supported by your family vs them trying to assassinate you like a certain someone.)

I really, really wish Killer B's character hadn't been one of comedic relief because I truly think he has one of the most interesting perspectives to explore, and I also just think that's he's. Really fucking cool.

Attention: If you’re a normal RWBY poster who doesn’t send hate or get mad at RWDE’s existence. This post doesn’t apply to you.

To those that do.

I’ve never seen a fandom more insecure than rwby in all my days. Paper thin. Absolute baby behavior.

Every fandom ever has critics. Loud ones. Annoying ones. Etc.

RWBY in my 20+ years in assorted fandoms is the only fandom I’ve ever seen take a critics as a personal offense and can’t handle their existence. Even when they tag their complaints properly. I’ve seen multiple RWDE posters get harassed daily and have their queer and disabled identities questioned because they don’t celebrate Rooster teeth’s scraps.

Enjoy your show. No one is saying you can’t.

Other people don’t and they’re allowed to voice it. And they’re allowed to voice what they find problematic about it and the multi million dollar company behind it. i

DC, Marvel, Naruto, MHA, Owl House, SU all have their massive critics. It’s what happens when a series is popular. It gets torn to shreds by people. And that’s okay.

Why is RWBY so damn special ? Unless you’re are you saying RWBY lacks something that it can’t stand the same criticism all these other media experience? Because that’s what it sounds like to me?

Get over it and touch some fucking grass instead of sending people anon hate because they don’t like your show.

Those people are the worst fucking fans I’ve ever seen. Loser behavior.

Role Play rules, kinks, and muses.

This wasn't going to be an RP blog, but I have so many of them at this point here's a primer.

First things first, I'm not a very picky person. There are a few exceptions but if I list a Series I'll RP for, chances are any character you can think of I'm OK with.

NEED!

If you want to RP with me this is the #1 thing I need, and that is communication. At any post we need to be able to stop and message each other ideas or miscommunications to keep everything going smooth. Let me be clear, I said 'post' not 'time', obviously real life happens, you don't always feel up for it, that's all fine, let's not bug each other. I just mean you have to be willing to stop the back and forth and just message back and forth a bit as the story needs.

Also just to be clear, 18+ ages everyone, for all characters. I don't really mind much as long as there's a clear distinction between fantasy and reality, but this is Tumblr not some hentai site, I do not want to risk anyone seeing that that finds it disgusting.

...Also if we are talking smut or anything like it you must be 18+ as well. That should go without saying but I'm saying it anyways.

Preference

Like I said I'm not picky, so these are things I prefer.

Smut. Will do no-smut, happily it's fun at times. But I prefer smut because it's something a story can always fall on. Awkward miscommunication? Odd phrasing? Misunderstood sentence? Start stripping!

I prefer playing girls at this point, but it's a SMALL preference.

OC's are fine but I don't play them, and keep your OC's few in number and under control. I don't want to have to read an essay for an RP.

Not a huge fan of Yaoi stuff. My preference in smut is straight or futa girl, for the relationship yuri, straight, or futa. Again will try it but it will be the last on my list.

Will play multiple characters if needed, and I prefer doing that then the other way around since it gives me more to think and write about.

Themes of domination. Again I do NOT need this, but much like the smut thing I like it as a fall back, if there's an awkward step in a story, having one character tell the other what to do or want to be told makes it much easier for both sides in my experience.

Muses

Series I'll RP for.

RWBY, no Jaune. He just REALLY bores me. Prefer yuri or futa/girl couples.

Fire Emblem except for New Mystery.

Miraculous Ladybug because I find it funny. I am very pro Marinette, not as big on Adrien, keep that in mind.

Bleach. LOVE Bleach. Yoruichi, Orihime, Unohana, and so many others perfect 10's.

Danny Phantom, look below

Kim Possible. Different series but DP and KP are two series I love and love to play with. DP I prefer Danny getting nice things and Kim being happy, even if she's 'beaten'.

Naruto and One Piece I know and will try.

MHA, lottsa hot girls.

Code Geass. Love it, but I stick with just the anime, no manga, movies, or author quotes. I love some of them but I ain't picking and choosing.

Winx Club, specifically the Winx or Trix.

Harry Potter. Luna is best girl just FYI, and deserves to be loved and 'loved'.

ATLA, no comics though thank you.

KOTOR, specifically 1 and 2. Not big on Star Wars in general but KOTOR is my baby and the sequel is pretty great as well.

Pokemon. I prefer the humans but some levels of Pokephelia are OK.

Metroid, or more like Samus. Love Samus, second favorite gaming character, of either gender. Only after Amaterasu from Okami, but Okami doesn't really fit the RP style unfortunately.

Persona 3! I want that distinction, I'll also do 4, and after I replay 5 I'll add that to the list, but P3 is the best and my favorite.

That time I got Reincarnated as a Slime, lottsa fun there.

Legend of Zelda, just in general.

Megaman Starforce. No one will ever do this one, and I think I'd actually prefer this not to be smut(and if it is no FM/AM having sex with humans thank you. That's just squick to me). But I'll put it on the list.

BANNED KINKS

Like I've said a few times, I'm pretty chill about things. I have very few hard 'no's'. You want bestiality, pokephelia, incest, cheating, rape? All things I'm OK with, heck I like cheating and to a lesser extent incest for smut(again, for smut. I support none of these things in real life).

But I do have limits.

Nothing sexual and damaging. You want Character A to beat Character B, cut them with a knife, and break their arm? Go ahead. You want Character A to fuck Character B like a whore? Yay! You want both at the same time? NO!

No blood play, no choking(that is more dangerous then people thing), no scarring, nothing like that. Spanking, paddling, wax play, that's all fine, some pain can be sexy, but nothing that could actually cause damage.

Related you can do stuff like kick someone's balls or whatever, it's fine, but it will not be 'pleasurable'. That is damaging, it can be done to punish someone, as torture, just as long as it's outside that person also getting off on it.

I really want to be clear here, a lot of my muse series are violent in some way, Fire Emblem has war, Bleach people get eaten by monsters, RWBY the characters are trained to slaughter, I like that. But there is a clear difference between violence, sexy, and combining the 2.

Unrelated but also banned are real people or live action stuff. There's a reason all of my muses are in some way animated. I don't think it's morally wrong to use a character just because it's played in live action, but I personally do not like it. And I won't do real people at all.

Preferred Kinks

Look at the other stuff I said, I'm not picky. But if your idea has these things, I'm going to be more into it.

Dom/Sub, as I've said.

Group dynamics. Harems, poly, just friends being around. You can focus on 1 pair of people, but I still like other characters being around.

Breeding talk. Don't need to actually happen, just being mentioned in some way, threatened or promised or plans made.

Seduction, Character A being so sexy Character B just NEEDS them after a point.

Cucking, I don't know, I like this. Whether the cuck is into it, humiliated, whatever. If I like a character chances are I like them cucking or being cucked, don't know what to tell you.

Powers Play. If Character A is super strong, use that. If Character B>>>Character A, let that be a factor. These abilities or just a difference in power should be part of them.

Little kinks.

Just a list of kinks that would make me go 'Oh?' And raise an interested eyebrow but not alone sell me on an idea.

General cheating, incest, public sex, 'marking' like hickies and bite marks, teasing, in RP talking about loving/fucking, gossip, teaching, threesomes, lots of cum, big but not absurd sizes(foot dick, eh ok, 16 inches go back. That kinda thing), pet play, titfucking, assjob, denial, biting that doesn't break skin(I guess unless you're a vampire?), interracial, first time for one person but not the other, one person has a LOT of experience but not the other (no relation), degradation, praise kink.

i assume this question this question is in the realm of "what are your favorite series not factoring in fan experience" but if im wrong sorry :/

so the most consistent fandom for me is Legion of Superheroes. Doesn't matter how little fan content there is, I am there.

As for other fandoms... i may not be consistent with interacting with them but that can easily be a factor of having a specific hyperfixation atm or the fandom is in so much discourse that it's hard for me to enjoy looking through fan stuff.

And there are certain stuff that may go into hibernation with fixation but oops when its awakened its full speed

Fandoms included are:

Transformers - TFP and TFA specifically (I have wound down a bit but I still love the shows)

Xiaolin Showdown

Naruto (as im sure my recent reblogs has informed everyone)

Steven Universe - this show will hold a dear place in my heart for how much it did for the LGBT community. It's not perfect but honestly I don't mind it for having flaws. Just the fact Rebecca got away with as much as she did despite having the studio cut the series short is amazing.

Lore Olympus - unfortunately this is the one with the biggest issue of discourse when trying to find fan stuff... I love it still but I don't want to wade through the discourse to find fanstuff

I am currently hyperfocused on Owl House but I haven't watched the full series properly. I'm missing context from the middle of both seasons...

BUT THE COLLECTOR IS MY BABY AND NO ONE CAN TAKE HIM FROM ME

A Piece of Jigsaw

If you stumbled upon my twitter account and decided to go here, know that I have become a piece of jigsaw in the puzzle that you call your life. I'm only one amongst hundreds of pieces, but to me, that alone is more than enough.

So, Hi. The name is Callisto Void. You can call me Cal, Calli, Void, or whatever nicknames you may come up with. Though please note that I prefer not to be called with overly feminine and "babying" kinds of nicknames. I use any/all pronouns, it/its, and dia/nya feel free to use them interchangeably. I am an adult in my twenties even though sometimes I feel like I am forever seventeen. Also, if you recognize me by another name, please keep that secret inside your chest. You can text me privately if you want to ask about that. Oh, I tweet and write both in Indonesian and English.

I write sometimes. About anything that I feel it needed to be expressed. Yet there are several themes that may appear more often than others, such as: queer experience, mental health, and probably parental issues. I am a frequent user of violent, death-related, and suicidal descriptions. There's also a possibility I will post dead-dove: do not eat content and use nsfw language, so please follow my account responsibly. Do not repost my writings to other platforms.

My interests are ever so changing. I mainly immerse myself in the wonderful world called literature. My comfort genre(s) is classics, litfic, and gender-studies nonfiction. I also read other genres as I always try to expand my reading choice. To be quiet honest, I'll read anything. Articles, journals, manga, plays, blog posts, anything. So don't hesitate to recommend me your favorite book even though it is not something I will usually read.

My favorite books contain but not limited to: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai, White Nights by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ayah by Andrea Hirata, In The Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado, The Things You May Only Find Behind My Ear by Mosab Abu Toha, Boys Run The Riot by Keito Gaku (manga), and many more!

I have not been dipping myself a lot in the cinema world, and I would greatly appreciate if you feel like recommending me your favorite movies. Yet, I have a few favorites: Princess Mononoke (1997), Maurice (1987) and my latest favorite, Some Like It Hot (1959).

However, I am a series watcher. The kind of watcher who has two or three favorites and will rewatch it many times instead of trying new shows. Hannibal, House MD, Merlin, and Naruto (as of now I'm rereading the manga) are my constant interest.

As for music, I consider myself a casual listener rather than fans. That is because 90% of the time, I listen to music for background noise and the 10% of the time, I find myself realizing one or two songs really got my ears itching to listen for more. What I frequently listen to: Hozier, Lauvey, Saint Motel, Cosmo Sheldrake, Florence + The Machine, and a lot more.

Shin didn't want his daughter, they wanted her coz she was wearing uchiha crest, so if it's so risky then why sakura and sarada wearing uchiha crest openly in the village as sasuke has bad reputation and some could have targeted them lol? and why sasuke so casually meeting naruto so near the village not in different dimension? why sasuke can send his hawk to the village casually, isn't he risking his family? why sasuke so casually attending 5 kage summit which could hinder sakura? lol so many things, lo why sakura using Akatsuki era photo not new one if sasuke has bad reputation and could have harm his family, she could have just took a photo of sasuke and baby sarada and hid it with barrier ninjutsu and shown it to sarada when necessary, so why? so? naruto is the hokage and strongest, so why sasuke so afraid of his family's safety? he didn't even send a basic letter to them but casually sending hawk to naruto, isn't this giving attention to his enemy that this village is connected to sasuke and thus wearing uchiha crest could harm sarada and sakura, still they are wearing the crest meaning you SS fan safety excuses are half baked not full proof,

so excuses that sasuke has to be secretive for his family is half baked and only used to justify SS toxic dynamic, main fact is sasuke was forced to accept sakura as wife for sarada's sake in the gaiden during when naruto became hokage and he was never there when sarada was born until gaiden timeline, sarada is a experiment baby that's why Gaiden is ambiguous

oh man, i started writing when i was 11? at least in terms of posting fic on the internet except back then i don't think i even considered it to be fic. it was just stories set in my fandom at the time (it was naruto...and then harry potter and emo bands. yes, it was self insert.)

currently, i only actively write for bts fandom. this will likely change once i finish reading omniscient reader's viewpoint (orv) because i am already RARING to write fic for my orv otp, joongdok, but i really want to finish the web novel before i spiral.

i find the best way to enjoy your bts fandom experience is to also have multiple other interests you're partially engaged in/with so that bts fandom doesn't drive you insane :) other interests i am invested in include but are not limited to: orv, tgcf, mdzs, svsss, jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer, a plethora of bl, the magnus archives, and i try to read published stuff but i've been slipping on that front the last few months.

i will put the rest of the answer under a cut because...this is already quite long.

in the past i've written for naruto (sasunaru), harry potter (drarry), a few other animangas, kingdom hearts (axel/roxas), and when i did start writing for kpop fandoms it went from beast to block b/bap to exo to ikon/got7 to bts.

but i've been part of like tons of other fandoms where i only read fic and engaged with other people's content. fandoms include (non-exhaustive): bandom, inception, merlin, marvel (i rly only cared abt stucky), star trek (spirk, MY BELOVED), teen wolf (sterek has everyone in their clutches), football (european) rpf, hannibal and a slew of animanga. there's definitely stuff i missed but my point is just: have lots of interests! and consume a variety of media! it makes you a better writer and person imo.

baby me was definitely obsessed with enemies to lovers (adult me still is) so i am always drawn to an otp that has the enemies/rivals to lovers dynamic because nothing satisfies me as much as tension and push/pull dynamics. i think once i got into rpf fandoms tho (bandom, kpop), i did start enjoying seeing two people that just love each other very openly.

SO ofc when i finally ended up in bts fandom, it was only a matter of time before kookmin ate me alive. i started stanning bts in march/april of 2015. i'd listened to their title tracks/watched mvs from their debut but i was an exo stan and i had tunnel vision and then exo was like, falling apart in 2014-2015 tgknfk and i got into got7 and ikon for a while but i guess they just didn't hit the same cause i started watching bts mvs one day and then binged SO many bangtan bombs and watched american hustle life and then 2 weeks?? later bts announced they were having a comeback and i've never looked back. bts are just incredibly funny and genuine (there is nothing manufactured about them) and back in 2015, no one was putting themselves out there the way bts were. they were super engaged with their fan base through youtube and twitter so even when they didn't have a comeback, they were still posting new content which is not what other groups were doing. bighit knew what they were doing, i guess.

and yes, jimin 100% drew me in. even before i was a fan, he was already my fav from the few mvs i had seen and then when i got seriously into them, i was obsessed with him. he's so fucking funny and BABY!!!!!!!!! and has just been the kindest person since day one??? and an incredible dancer, like just mesmerizing. also, he's the prettiest most gorgeous person ever. there is no joy or comfort quite like getting to stare at jimin's beautiful face.

i was actually a multi-jimin shipper when i started out. my fav ships were hopemin, minjoon, and yoonmin. rapline/jimin was everything to me and so was yoonseok!! jimin was just very baby around rapline and acted cute because he loves attention and praise and i love this about him jbsdjk i liked vmin and kookmin at the time, too, but i've always liked vmin as friends more than romantically and kookmin didn't take over my entire brain until may 2016 when back hug scene happened. up until then, i liked them because it was obvs jimin doted on jeongguk A Lot and i enjoyed what a tsundere brat jeongguk was but back hug scene rewired my brain cause all i wanted to do after that was write kookmin.

i think seeing how much they both love each other and how supportive they are/how they show up for each other over and over again (excellent song choice for gcf tokyo jjk) just makes it impossible for me to not ship them?? plus we got to see their relationship grow and develop and transform to what it is today...it's hard not to love them tbh. for me, it's the devotion and how much they clearly like each other as friends that keeps me writing for them. i love love love the ways they show how much the other means to them whether that be the grand gestures (the tokyo trip, jimin flying across the world to be there for jeongguk's birthday) or the little things (the way they baby each other and worry over the other's well-being).

also, i think the fun of writing an rpf otp is that you can really put them in any scenario you want. there is no canon we have to adhere to so you're really only restricted/limited by characterization and tbh you can take liberties there, too because we don't 100% know the boys. plus how you act as an idol may not be how you act in a dystopia au lol it really is like playing house and it lets me be as creative as i want so i find it easy to keep putting them in new scenarios! i do think that if they didn't love each other as much as they do, i'd have maybe lost interest but so far that hasn't happened so yay for me haha

I just finished watching Hunter x Hunter and I LOVED it! Check out my reaction and send me some recs!

Found my new favorite show!! But a little backstory first :)

I've always been surrounded by anime fans, both in school and at home, but I never really got into it myself. I'm a part of the younger sibling/cousin crew so you know that means I had 0 tv remote privileges and had to watch whatever everyone else wanted to watch. I've watched some of the "OG" anime because of this, think DBZ, Naruto, Pokémon, etc.

I didn't start watching anime on my own until middle school when I found Peach Girl on YouTube. I have no idea how I found it, but all I know is I was HOOKED. I mean I watched it day in and day out for hours until I experienced my arm falling asleep for the first time, and I freaked out thinking I was injured. I frantically ran to my mom's room holding my arm like it fell off. But I digress, Peach Girl was awesome, it's a drama-filled show with a bucket of romance. I should totally rewatch it now that I'm older.

After Peach Girl I stumbled on One Punch Man. That suddenly became my new number one show. It's really action packed, and I liked Satima's nonchalant nature. The backstory episode with the lobster monster-human was disturbingly funny and drew me into the show. But these two shows just weren't enough, I needed something more. I really wanted to join the community that surrounded me.

I asked my friends for a recommendation after watching A Silent Voice (which I recommend btw it's a great movie) and that's when I found my baby: Hunter x Hunter.

The Best Show

Very action-packed and suspenseful show. I didn't like the first episode too much I wouldn't say it was boring, but it's the part of the story where you have to set up the storyline or the plot, which is also the slow part of novels that I don't really like but I understand the importance. Surprisingly, it only lasted one episode after that boom the rest had me hooked. The Hunter Games arc was where the main characters were introduced, and it was quite suspenseful because they had to pass through challenging tests in order to prove they were worthy enough to be a hunter. The tests were peculiar, and I really didn't know whether or not they were going to win or lose so I was on the edge of my seat every episode. Honestly, I wish I could rewatch it again to relive how it felt the first watch. I also loved seeing the dynamic between Gon and Killua and the bond between the gang grow, it was like watching a bunch of friends go through middle school up to college together.

I think the show slipped in the back stories of the characters in very well, like when Leorio and Kurapika were running up the steps huffing and puffing and Kurapika asks Leorio what's the real reason he wants to be a hunter because it can't just be from money, and then Leorio goes on and tells the story about his friend passing. I think all the backstories are good except Gon's. The whole reason for this show is so funny to me because why are you putting in so much effort to find your deadbeat father who wants nothing to do with you. He's going through life and death experiences and putting his friends who he loves through life and death things just to see a man who wants nothing to do with him and has told him that, what's the point? But he didn't want to know anything about his dead mother which was so weird. I mean I understand why because of the relationship with his aunt, but the same time it was kind of annoying that he didn't want to know his mother but is willing to die for his deadbeat father, why? Then again, he is a kid, so it makes sense that he makes rash decisions, and he has good character development as the show goes on. His stupidness also makes the pairing with Killua great.

I guess some people say the Zoldyck Family arc is actually an arc, but if it was, I think it would go 3rd or 4th. At first, I didn't like the Chimera Ant arc because seeing that queen eat those humans was disgusting and every time I saw the ants all I could see was that image. I like to eat when I'm watching the tv, but I couldn't finish my cereal after seeing that and stopped watching the show for like a whole year or two. I picked it back up pushed through the nastiness and eventually it started to get really good. I love that the Phantom Troupe had an appearance because that's my favorite characters. I see why some people argue that the chimera ant arc is the best because it made some powerful statements at the end about mass destruction. I would let it go number one myself but my love for the Phantom Troupe storyline is too strong.

I think the Kurapika, the Phantom Troupe, the Zoldyck Family, and Hisoka have the most exceptional scenes. The writers gave them all such a powerful presence, you just have to pay attention when you see them. And of course, I can't forget about my girl Canary! She had such a small screen time, but a big impact. I'm hoping with the anime coming back we'll get to see some more of her, as well as the story with the Phantom Troupe and Kalluto.

I'm finished ranting for now, but I'm so glad to see the artist behind hxh is feeling better and that the anime is coming back! I've only watched the 2011 version so I'm still hiding from spoilers.

I'm looking for a new anime to watch! So lemme know if you have any recommendations :)

Damn I read some of previous ask/answers and I can't help but wonder why Naruto fandom is so unfortunate and at each other's throats so often. I mean, one thing is disliking a ship of something specific about it, but another haressing fic writers, artists and even original anime staff. I'm not a die hard fan so I'm mostly outside fandom thus I never had any bad experience myself, but from what I saw almost everyone who makes content or metas got harressed at some point. It's basical principle of fandoms: my kink isn't your kink and that's fine + dont like? Don't interact principles

Yes, the more popular the fandom the more this and that people would it attract; one cannot invite sheep without expecting wolves to appear too. But idk what made ppl feel such degree of entitlement and self-righteousness to police others... I honestly hope they're under 16 and would know better when grow up.

On separate note your art is top notch! It's so beautiful :D and I agree about your post how Kishimoto might have planned for Hinata to die at some point bc it'd fill in the gaps of Hyuga slavery thing and Naruto never doing anything regarding her confession

Half-jokes aside, you’re right! Naruto has such a huge fandom and it never ceased to be even when they robbed us from a satisfying ending or seeing them grow up in their twenties in a way that makes sense. And instead of seeing Naruto work towards becoming Hokage, as there was a lot more to it, we get this bullshit… and yet a lot of us can’t help but read/watch/secretly side-eye his demolished, adult self to see what’ll happen.

That in itself already says a lot.

Naruto.. if it had stopped at Chapter 699 or if they left it open-ended in another, similar way, then nothing of the sort would’ve happened. The SNS fandom would’ve been satisfied with the nested story within Naruto as we picked up on it already, SS and NH never happened anyway and for sure the War Arc would’ve turned out differently.

Right now Naruto and Sasuke are dumbed down only to fit two girls who are in love with them, which means a guy should reciprocate otherwise he’s an asshole, right? Also.. babies. NH aren’t satisfied because Naruto is “a bad father, never at home, doesn’t show love for Hinata” which makes him an asshole anyway they say. SS aren’t satisfied because Sasuke is “a bad father, never at home, doesn’t show love for Sakura” but he isn’t an asshole he’s just Tsundere. (I’m being sarcastic). And non-shippers aren’t satisfied because: what the fuck.

So I absolutely agree with everything you say! I’m just not surprised that the separation within the fandom has always been so prominent.

By spoon-feeding every single “group” a little bit of ‘content’ here and there with phenomenal timing from the marketing team, that is literally what they’re creating as that is what has been a huge source of income for so long. And the dissatisfaction is what eventually makes them go to Twitter and harass the company for more content.

That’s never okay, but they’re also kind of asking for it since they’re giving it to them easily too and they know it. Soon they’ll come back for more. *Sigh*

That’s why I never really blame the fandom, not even the wolves.

I swear, the more I think about it, the more it starts to make sense. Especially when you take out ‘Boruto’ and then go from the beginning. It’s almost perfectly set up.. aaah, I want to make a post about it.

I still think the Naruto fandom is laid-back compared to other fandoms I've been in and really, really quickly left 😂 (I've been in Korea for a few months, I'll take anime over kpop anyday.)

It's annoying when ppl project so hard onto a character that they take criticism against said character as a personal attack.

I remember when I was criticizing Hinata on someone's blog, pointed out that she's creepy and not a victim of abuse like her stans/fans (even ppl who don't necessarily like her) love to claim she is.

And some other anon jumped in saying how Hinata is just like them and is a victim of abuse and yadda yadda. I don't remember what the owner of the blog had to say but I was like "...okay? Sorry about your experiences but I'm talking about a character who isn't a victim of anything unless you count being timid a critical issue."

That was the end of it but I found that so odd. I've never heard anyone criticize/trash a character I relate to or love and gotten that pissed off about it. They made me sound like I was victim blaming real ppl or something.

It's expected of Hinata stans/fans to claim that she was a victim of abuse. It's one of the many things they pull out of their ass to make Hinata look as innocent and pitiful as can be because "uwu, how can anyone hate or dislike this poor, poor angel? see how she suffers while still managing to be a saint?"

What gets me are the neutral ppl (or even those that dislike or hate her) that also think/believe that Hiashi is an abusive father to Hinata. Like ??? huh? Was it the anime fillers that convinced them? Was Hiashi beating and starving her in fillers? Or being emotionally/mentally/verbally abusive to her? Because in canon his greatest "crime" against her was... being disappointed in her. 😱😱😱 Oh no. Poor baby. How could she ever survive?

Poor Hinata had to put up with her dad being disappointed in her, her cousin (soon to be personal slave) hating her when they were preteens and being too shy to interact with her crush. Goodness, she's so strong for making it thru all of that.

Anyway, fuck her. Can't believe Kishi killed Neji off just so Naruto could spare a glance at her creepy, suicidal, selfish ass.

Well, it's kind of a Fandom Guilt Tripping, you know. This society scorns people who are being Unempathetic to other people, which is Good. But everyone uses this emotion as shield and make their faves into a victim. Now, If you accuse their "supposed" victim, then you are now being judged as a cruel person for not empathizing.

It all comes down to, "If you don't pity me, then you are an Asshole" agenda. **Cough Cough Sakura's 2nd proposal** Instead of seeing the characters for who they are, they make it all about themselves. Projecting their own feelings as to how they would react to certain situations, rather than how the characters actually reacted. Projecting their Mental Illness & Abuse headcanons onto the characters which has never shown such symptoms...

"Not everything is about you, Susan & Am not falling for this victim mentality anymore.. Your Fav is a trash"

Hi anon. I am glad I could be of service.

However, I must clarify that my interest in Naruto is defined by the tale of this alternate universe that seems like it was customised to stimulate my senses at the time I saw it. Which includes all the characters that played a part in it. Although, some characters played more part than others.

Hinata and Sakura's characters are not one of them. But I try not to expend much energy on them. They aren't the focus of my obsession with this story. I don't particularly like any female character in this series. Not even the ones that were clearly fleshed out a bit more than other female characters and had positive overtones. Kishimoto is definitely misogynistic in his ways of writing female characters, and I refuse to judge him by easy measures just because I like his writing otherwise. By any standards of writing a believable and well defined female character in a male dominated industry in a conservative part of the world, Kishimoto reads misogynistic, even if his predecessors were even more so. Not a single female character in Naruto is fleshed out with the kind of empathy and understanding that he reserves for most male characters. Including those who appeared much later or had less panel space in the series. Kishi was particularly vicious towards Sakura and Hinata, but I get why he did it. He was writing a gay love story in shounen. It also says a lot that Kishi, who even redeemed highly heinous male characters (Oro, Kabuto?? Fr?) but never redeemed these two.

Even though I hate the ending, I get that it was a possible ending, even realistic. Naruto never ceases to surprise me because fuck, it was a fantasy tale told with such truly felt emotions encapsulating numerous lived experiences, that I couldn't help but think that Kishi knew that in a perfect world, Sasuke and Naruto would be together...but it's not a perfect world. Shinobi world, even after all the reformative wars, is an unjust unfair world that would not accept them. And that makes it a realistic ending. It's a tragic ending. And Boruto emerges as a mutilated, malformed Rosemary's baby from the entrails of this sad tragic ending of two characters that were written to forever suffer in an unapologetically dystopian world that everyone is pretending it's not. Like a Russian fucking novel.

Hangs head.....I am quite partial to justified female portrayals in media, and Naruto isn't the first example of media that has disappointed me in that regard. There's much worse out there. But I am not going to pretend like Kishimoto is such a gender sensitive writer, committed to realistic female portrayals. All this pro kishimoto justification of his female characters is frankly a little amusing coming from otherwise reasonable fans. Just performing the bare minimum (and frankly not even that), doesn't automatically make him any less biased. You don't meet the parameters, you don't meet the parameters.

Nevertheless, my interest in Naruto is much less about the female characters, even though I unreservedly despise Sakura and Hinata's characters, but it's much less for their own sake and more because of the role (read negative) they played in Naruto and Sasuke's lives.

Apart from that, I don't really care.

Niki was in Belgium when your pains started. The 1981 season had been going quite well, but in your late condition you were forced to miss out on the last few races to stay home. He would always come back to you as soon as he was able, so as to not miss anything.

Finding out you were pregnant wasn’t a shock to either of you. Niki had brought up the idea one afternoon as you sat on the couch reading; you had never really considered having children, but the thought of little Nikis with curly hair running around opened a new desire within you. Going off the pill, you and Niki enjoyed yourselves, probably a bit too much, until the doctor confirmed your condition. Now, a year later you were almost ready to pop.

Gripping your rounded stomach, you groaned as the pain ebbed and flowed before stopping all together. The last few days you had been experiencing it sporadically. The doctor had informed you over the phone that it was just false labor and was very common at the end. Still, you didn’t want to worry Niki. You would tell him when he got back, you decided.

A sudden gush of fluid at your feet brought you back to the present. Quicker than was usual, another spasm wracked your abdomen. Oh. Your doctor assumed you had another 2 weeks before you would go into labor, but babies had a knack for doing what they wanted on their own time.

“Mum?” you yell out to your mother in the living room. You had taken her up on her offer to stay with you the last weeks of your pregnancy and birth. One breath in, one breath out.

“Alright, love?” she called from the other room.

“Mum, it’s time…”

Walking into the room she spotted the puddle at your feet. “Oh darling…” she gave you the happiest smile as she grasped your hands. “Let’s go have a baby!”

She busied herself grabbing the bag you had packed for the hospital and making sure everything was locked up and ready to go. Sitting at the kitchen table, you attempted to use a dishrag to dry your legs and feet. There was no way you could bend over to wipe the puddle of fluid off the ground, so you simply tossed the rag over it. Distracting yourself from the waves of contracting muscles, you pick up the phone to dial the number Niki had left you.

“Si?” It was Arturo that answered.

“Arturo - it's Catherine. Has the race started?” You do your best to keep your voice neutral.

“Mrs. Lauda! Ah, no. They will line up in about an hour.”

“We’ve been friends for years - how many times must I tell you, it’s just Catherine,” chuckling at his antics. Arturo gives a non-committed grunt in response.

You can hear the crowd and sounds of power tools and engines over the line. “Alright. Could you do me a favor - as soon as it’s over would you tell Niki I’ve gone into labor?” A groan escapes you as another contraction hits, stronger than before. “But only when it’s done.” You don’t need the father of your child being distracted as he hurls himself hundreds of miles an hour down a track.

“Oh! Si! Of course! Good luck, Mama Lauda!” Arturo was perhaps the biggest fan of your relationship with Niki - besides James and Elena, of course. The call ends shortly after that. Your mother carefully helps lower you into the car and you drive off to the hospital.

Several hours pass. You’ve paced the floor, eaten ice chips, and tried to watch some silly soap opera on television. The gown makes you feel as though you are a blimp, adding to your frustrations. Hunching forward as another contraction rips through you, your knuckles white on the edge of the small table in the delivery room.

“They're getting closer, love. Shouldn't be long now.” Your mother rubs your back in comfort.

Still gripping the desk, you can feel the tears well up in your eyes. The pain is awful, but that’s not what causes the overwhelming emotion to take you. I need my husband. I need Niki. She notices as your shoulders begin to shake.

“My dear, what is it? What can I do?”

You sniffle, standing upright and facing her. “M’sorry mum… I just wish he was here is all.” Wiping your eyes you add “It’s silly. He’s off competing and I’m feeling selfish wishing he were here with me. I know he’ll come as soon as he can. Christ, I cry at the littlest things anymore...”

She wraps her arms around your shoulders and holds you as close as she physically can, your bump between you. “I’m sure he’ll be here late tonight. They don’t typically let the husbands in during the birth anyways.”

A knock on the door startles you.

It’s Niki.

“Sorry I’m late,” he says casually as if he’s arrived at dinner after the designated time.

“What are you doing here?” The clock on the wall indicates that the race in Belgium would have only finished an hour ago at most. There’s no way he could’ve gotten here as quickly as he did, unless…

“My wife is having my child.” He steps into the room. “I overheard your call. Arturo is not good at keeping secrets. So I left.”

Your tears run anewed at his confession. Pulling him in by the front of his jacket, you bury your face in his chest. Tears of joy soak his shirt but he didn’t care.

Just as another major contraction hits the doctor enters the room. He instructs you to lay back as he examines you for the millionth time that day. With a nod he lets you know it’s time. Niki stays by your side.

The birth is an otherworldly experience. You can’t say you have ever felt anything as excruciating or exhausting in your life. But when you look at Niki as he cradles his daughter in his arms you know you would do it all over again if it meant being able to see the look on his face. The look of pure adoration, of pure love.

He sits next to you on the little bed, his hip alongside yours. Niki’s eyes meet your own; they are tinged red. You smile. Brushing a finger against the soft curls on your daughter’s head you say “she has your hair.”

He hums and smirks. “As long as she has your personality. There’s only room for one arschloch Lauda in this world.” You can’t help but laugh.

ok so i have an owl house crack theory:

Belos is orochimaru

Alright in the opening shots of 'Eclipse Lake' we see this still:

If you look at the open book at the bottom right of the still, you see 'plans' or may 'notes' on the pages.

Another fan commented on how the pages contain information on red eyes

Now who do we know has red eyes?

Belos always repeats to Hunter "The Titan has big plans for you." Which we all know is just preface for what Belos has in the works. We also all know that Belos' health isn't at it's peak...

Soo... it would make sense to create a body artificially, which belos isn't exactly inept at doing, and possess it using magic, similar to what Orochimaru intended to with Sasuke in Naruto, with his curse mark.

This makes sense because the open book also contains a fetus, and through inference, it could mean the creation of life- but with Galdorstones, Palistrom wood, Selkidomus scales, Stoneskeeper lungs(?) and the bone of Ortet? (what even is that???)

Smells suspiciously of a test tube baby.

Also some other things to think about:

No else we've currently seen on the show has eyes like Hunter

It has been said on the show that Palistrom wood is overharvested and Selkidomuses are near extinction

Galdorstones are powerful and kept very hidden, mainly because they are highly sought for, but what if something happened in the past?

Side theory:

What if Ortet is King's demon species? Or it's the name of his father?

It would explain why King's father was most likely attacked, since the bone was needed to create Hunter. It would also explain why the island is hidden and why there are no other demons like King in the Boiling Isles, as they've been driven to extinction by Belos because of his test tube baby experiments and the species needed to stay hidden in order to survive.

However I'm not exactly sold on this theory myself...

Mainly because the notes contain the heading "Grimwalker", which could be some sort of artificial demon that Belos plans on using in the future.

I also believe 'Stoneskeeper Lungs' will come up in a future episode.
