*Fornite dances with Annie* Hey fuckos I have designed human ID mask versions of the Andromeda 5 based entirely on what shapes they are and what human equivalent proportions can best suit their natural shape. When thinking about shapes, I accidentally put Ra’ad in a niqab and thought ‘hey yo this actually kinda works’ and just went the fuck off.

So, ID masks- do you think the plumbers provide them to aliens that choose to live on Earth (before OV got Earth aware of them being real) so that they can blend in? Do you think that there’s a customisation option to ‘fit’ the shape of someone and match it with an accurate size to human proportion ID? Do you think that folks without a face can just choose to go ‘so there are cultures that hide your face’ or ‘i’m gonna make myself look like my prison’ and just go off?

I think about that a little bit.

So I saw the headcannons of reader as Catnap and Dogday and I fell in love with the way you write! So I was wondering if you could do a headcannon about the reader being bendy from bendy and the ink machine?

Like the reader can draw and bring ink creatures to help around the hotel, maybe draw some decorations for the hotel? Sometimes going full on ink demon form to protect it or just pick up their friends on their back to make them feel taller

And the reader was actually an animator at joey drew studios and died, I think that would be pretty cool!

No one knows what exactly what you are. You don’t have the basic looks to look like a sinner or a hell born. So it’s kinda confusing to other.

You’re obviously a human who died to the ink as you use to animate bendy…so you’re bendy?? Does that make since because whatever you died by is your demon form….hopefully that made sense..

You once went full ink demon mode because a sinner tried to attack at you and husk while just running errands for the hotel. You transformed getting taller with the ink covering your face as you growl and slashes at them with a giant gloved hand covered in ink. And after that husk respected you more.

“Bendy/reader, can you help me make a cute star design?” Vaggie asked as Charlie was trying to make a star gazing banner. You nodded with your cartoony smile and pulls out a marker and started to draw on the air. The star in the air becomes to life as vaggie’s eyes widen.

first off roland!! i included an angelica in here, i designed her before him, shes very triangular to me.. maybe a bit more messed up than roland tells us about, he is a biased narrator afterall. anyways i wanted his design to match hers nicely, so hes like a rounded square type of guy... i think projmoon designed him to be Just A Guy intentionally, so i played into it. overall the least interesting design of the bunch imo. its on purpose :)

angela !!! my baby :) an important thing here is her bangs. i dont want her hair to be able to recover from however many years she spent with the hard middle part in lobcorp, i think its cute to incorporate it still. swoopy, fluffy hair for her! and the clothes are just a bit more casual idk the librarian uniforms were kinda boring and stiff to me, as much as it does go with her character.. if u wanna be human u gotta experience the joy of sweatpants or whatever. also i didnt add color but i dont want her to be fully white<3 or fully clear skinned.. give her sunspots on her face. she finally gets to experience sun. :)

guess ill go in order of appearance lol. malkuth! whats the headband for if it doesnt keep anything out of her face!! since shes a bit more active than some of her colleagues, i also gave her a ponytail(its also for the silhouette...) also gave her some chubbier thighs.. also maybe a butler-esque coat, at least to me; i just made it a bit more form fitting than the original. playing into her personality or whatever. shes cute.. remember to take deep breaths!!

hod! this ones my favorite (i even cared enough to give her a pattern on that skirt!!) it was kinda bugging me how in the artbook i couldnt tell who was writing because hod's, malkuth's, and tiphereth's colors are so similar. so hod is pink now, and malkuth a bit more orange. i kinda went for a romantic poet thing here, dunno how much that worked out, but i think out of everyone you can tell shes the literature girl. gave her pigtails !! theyre cute :> also since i removed the coat decoration off of angela, i gave part of it to hod in the bottom of her coat :). cute and round!

netzach is a very strange man to me.. ellipse shape and loose fitting clothes for u. if i saw him irl i wouldnt approach him. not to say i dont like him as a character, i love him, but i want him to look like a depressed guy who would pick up art as a hobby to distract himself and it works. bro is just surviving out there. also gave him comfy clothes to make the surviving easier, down to the shoes and wide, id assume non-denim pants - maybe cotton? maybe sweatpants that dont fit around the ankle? who knows.

tiphereth!! since she's like the teen girl of the group i gave her a skater dress, converse, and a tied coat around her waist.. like how i used to wear as a teen when i was being a hater and recovering from a death in the family that changed my entire life (im still a teen ... 9 more days till im 20 as of posting this). also gave her fishnets i think she would like that. i imagine she would get headaches bc of those dumb braids on her head<3 or maybe bc her coworkers are kinda dumb<3

chesed my boy.. idk i just saw him and hit him with the transmasc beam and gave him , as the kids say, wh0re eyes. i wanted him to have rounder hips and just be round in general. turtleneck and cardigan combo also, i think he would like wearing that. also somewhat curlier hair, or at least wavy would do him well! and a tote bag, i dont doubt that he would go out to read in coffee shops if he could - so he gets a tote bag to carry his sociology books. i want him to look like he would give the warmest, comfiest hugs and be friend shaped

binah!! this one was the most challenging, trying to find the right place for the colors - to not use too little or too much yellow. i still dont think i got it right but this is as close as im getting. long face, long nose, siren-ish eyes.. messed up in the head bird lady that speaks like hannibal! i also dont think a dress really suits her so i opted for wide pants and a fancy black button up .. maybe angela styled her, who knows. also black fingertips which is a trait i like to give the arbiters (including an oc).. just my own little consistency thing i like to do :)

hi grandpa! ok for hokma i dont think the changes are that big? i gave him O shaped legs and his sword thing i turned into a walking cane, gave him a vest (didnt want to opt for a corset but i think he would enjoy the back support for proper posture) . also gave him a mild gradient from darker gray to lighter gray, since he IS the gray part of the ABC trio. gave him salt and pepper hair and an older face. forgot to draw it, but i wanted to give him a silicone tip for the sword so it doesnt dull out, which he can take off when recieving guests

honorary mention to go along with the angelica i mentioned with roland, i mildly changed up her twin(k) brother. i gave argalia and angie the same hair but mirrored, his a bit more curly and hers a bit more spikey, his face a bit more edgy, hers a bit rounder and kinder. not much else to say here, i liked his design as is, but wanted to add him here :)

Not the same as beastmen and is firm about that.

They look human most of the time but the whole transformation thing gets in the way.

Is still a vet but if now they are liable to snap their jaws at patients.

Jack knows to keep his head down if he doesn't want to get along. That just how wolves do. Make nice in the pack or be pushed out.

They don't imprint. If you say that they will rip out your throat.

They don't have soulmates. They have normal relationships like normal people. They just believe in loyalty to make relationships last. They can change partners but they usually don't.

Not a mer just a cute rolly polly seal.

Such a friendly face, but they have sharp teeth.

Keeps their seal skin hidden away.

These days if someone does take their skin they are trained to attack them. Watch out they go for the fingers first.

The seal skin is unique to every selkie so it can't be replaced.

They will always choose the ocean if it came between it and love. But Yuu is a strange Selkie.

They know the tale of Ursilla, a human who loved a male selkie. This is part of why they believe they are destined to be with Azul so that history repeats itself.

Selkies lure their human partners into the sea and most tales say they never return. Yuu attempted with Azul not knowing he was a mer. Very embarrassing.

I think heat/rut are just different terms for the same thing. It's just the high point of a person's hormone cycle. Heat and Rut are just gendered terms for it, men go through a rut and women go through a heat, or alphas go through rut and omegas go through heat idc. It doesn't matter really everyone just uses whatever they're comfortable with. I called omega!Ghost's shit a heat, but he'd probably call it a rut. I see it as a three times a year thing, four months between each cycle peak, and that's the best time to get pregnant but it can also happen any time during the cycle.

Also because people keep saying the same thing in my ask box: it's not mad dog horny must have sex time. It's just the height of the cycle, it's when they're most fertile, everyone reacts to it differently. Ghost gets aggressive during his heats, the best way to burn off the excess energy has been sparring in the past, but now that he has a sexual partner the best way to burn it off is with sex. In contrast I think alpha!Goose has a miserable heat cycle with cramps, migraines, and lots of irritability and anxiety. Sex helps the same way sex during your period would help, it releases endorphins to cover the pain.

Like I said in multiple other asks everyone gets heats/ruts no matter where they are on the spectrum. It's just the natural human reproductive cycle. It's bad for some people, easy for others, some people find it fun with a partner, other people need a partner there just to keep them alive through the vomiting and cramps.

Also again as I said in a different ask, I think endotypes have become more complex as humanity and medical scie ce has evolved. Originally people were just looking for stereotypes, "Oh this person is sort of domineering and anxious they must be an alpha, and that person is rather eager to jump into fights they're probably an omega" but because human personalities are so variable most people were just people. It was really only when folks started being able to test for hormone markers that suddenly there were a ton more alphas and omegas than first thought! Now you get a neat little designation on your driver's license next to your organ donor stamp! How cool! There are still stereotypes of course, (you know an omega will never start a fight, but they will finish one) but there are stereotypes about everyone and most people ignore them.

In my ideal little world the omegaverse has very little gender discrimination because it's just too much to keep track of. I mean think about it: you think alphas are really cool, but you don't like women, OK so now you're having trouble hiring a female alpha, then you're like no I want men and no omegas, OK but there's a bunch of omega men applying and. You get the gist. It just is too much to keep track of all that.

Since you're on the topic I have genuine question about AI art designs from a non-artist.

In your opinion would using an AI tool to generate a reference for a commission (whether it be for character design or pose) be an appropriate use of said tools?

I thought about this as well and I gotta say, personally I don't think so.

Barring for the purpose of this ask the whole "AI art is stolen art" thing (which I stand by fiercely), AI generated images are really janky, especially reference sheets. There are details everywhere that make no fucking sense, anatomy is deformed, they have a lot of nonsensical parts to them so its just one big jumble of nothing.

And, it's pulling from designs created by existing artists and warping them to fit your prompt. It's work that another artist already made, used by an AI that's trained on a specific dataset. It also pulls from popular things that people enjoy: tried and true color combos, the most popular shapes that big artists use, theres a LOT of waifus, and a lot of the art genuinely comes in the same painterly style that's really hard to color pick from. some even come with color swatches that don't match the colors on the reference

In short, it's just a machine generating something that looks neat at first glance, and then is actual hot garbage when you just... look at it closely. Not to mention that an AI prompt can be iterated, and the AI pulls from everything it has, for every prompt, so what you end up getting is completely samey designs with small changes. Good for concept art assistance, but not if you want to create a Legit Character. The AI will give you something that it has already spit out a thousand times over and then some, with no regards to composition, design technique, color theory, because all it knows is what it has been fed and what the artists its ripping off of know (meaning if they have mistakes, the AI will as well. But in a far less human way)

Meanwhile, when you commission someone you are likely to go for someone whos art style will actually fit what you want to get, or someone whos art style you enjoy. Usually these artists will be people you've followed for a while and you at least know them enough to know what they can do. And they are also reactive, you can tell them to actually change and tweak details of what they're making for you. And not taking into account the bad actors out there (as there are always bad actors in every discipline) you will have something that has been made specifically FOR you, not just what a machine thinks you would perceive as eye candy.

As for poses... just draw it badly in ms paint. The AI will not give you the pose you want for the aforementioned reason: broken anatomy (and also because it will pull from its dataset of poses it can warp features onto. It's a lot more limited than you think.) If you want a pose prompt for a commission just draw it really badly in ms paint or on a napkin and write annotations for the artist (arm goes here, this guy is grabbing this thing, etc etc) Most of us if not all of us will GLADLY interpret your pose for you and draw whatever you want us to.

And like. Literally if you're going to get commissions anyway, why not commission a design first thing of all?? Or buy an adoptable from people who already make them by hand? It will genuinely be so much better than just hoping a machine does all the work for you. Please support artists

I’ve made another fankid, this one’s name is Cloudberry Cookie

So I’ve been struggling to come up with designs for my actual requests, which sucks because I want to draw more fankids, so for now I’m just drawing ones that I’ve been wanting to do, but aren’t on my requests, with wildchip being one of them

Anyways, so for the name, I picked cloudberry since cloudberries are berries, so like Wildberry, but they also grow in very cold climates, like where Crunchy Chip lives

Cloudberry I think was originally a contender for a hollycacao fankid, but then I thought it could also work for wildchip, so that’s what I did instead

Also, another contender that I had for this ship was pineberries, since they’re white with red seeds, which reminded me of Crunchy Chip’s hair, but if you replaced the dark brown with Wildberry’s pink. But I liked cloudberries more, so I went with that. But if I make another one, I’ll probably do Pineberry

Cloudberries:

So I’m aware that neither Crunchy Chip nor Wildberry have orange in their hair, but cloudberries are that color, so that’s her hair color. I still worked in Wildberry’s pink though. Not the proudest of how her hair turned out, or at least the top part, like I think it looked different in my head, but I was trying to make it look closer Wildberry and Crunchy Chip

I admit, I probably could have done better with her outfit, I just wasn’t entirely sure what to do with it other than “cold climate”. Maybe I’ll redesign it some time later

I also made a version with markings like Crunchy Chip’s, but I thought maybe they were just tacked on, so I took them out. But I’ll still post that version at the end, to see if that looks better to you guys

So Cloudberry lives in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, as she prefers the cold climate, but she mostly just lives in solitude in the mountains, not really part of the military like her father. She visits her parents from time to time, and she has a good relationship with them both, she just prefers to live by herself. Generally she farms cloudberries, knowing where they grow, and will on occasion sell cloudberry jam to others. But she also works as a hunter and tracker, being open for hiring if you want someone or something tracked down. Also, she uses and trains birds, like the Cacao Hawks (was that what they’re called? I can’t seem to find where they’re mentioned). She likes the Cream Wolves well enough, she just prefers birds. Plus, they can send letters for her

Generally she comes off as a rather serious person, at least to others, as she’s mostly focused on the task at hand, but she’s also very intelligent and witty, and will sass when you least expect it (unfortunately I am not very witty, so I cannot tell you what she says)

As for the sketch with Crunchy Chip, I just imagine he would just be showing her off to anyone with the time of day. Also that her hair used to be more bouncy and berry like in shape

Edit: oh yeah, something else I thought of that I wanted to mention. So cloudberries are supposed to be incredibly rare and hard to find if you don’t know where to look. Assuming Wildberry and Crunchy Chip baked her, I’m just assuming they were trying to figure out what ingredients to use, and Crunchy Chip suggests these berries he’s heard grow in his kingdom but are very rare, and as they aren’t really sold places, they have to make this long trek across the mountains to find cloudberries, which they inevitably do. I don’t know why I added this bit, I just thought it was neat

Also for some reason, in my head I kept calling her “Wendy”. I don’t know why, but she felt like a Wendy. I guess if she ever needs a proper human name, I’m going with Wendy, despite the fact it sounds nothing like her name

I know the first image is silly, but I cannot stress enough how serious I am when I say:

Now that you have chosen to continue, I have arranged the images in order of least to most vile and disturbing (though that might be slightly subjective on my part).

I tried channeling Julia Drawfee with the lineart a little bit. Didn't feel like shading that one, so it's a bit flat.

Where did I lose my colours? Plot twist: the first image in this post is actually the last I've made, so technically I gained the colours. I wanted it to have more of a cheery vibe, unlike the ones under the cut, which I wanted to be kinda dreary and I feel like adding too much colour can mess that up.

Alright, I'll address the tongue. Remember how his head splits in tmagp 12? Yeah, it's a nod to that and also I asked myself "how do I make his design worse than it already is?" and that's the only answer I could come up with. I debated adding stitches connesting the two halves of the tongue but couldn't figure out how, so you're welcome. It will be present in all the upcoming drawings as well.

The next one is bloody, but it's not that much worse than the previous one overall.

I was playing with filters after I was done with this piece, because I felt like it lacked something, but didn't know what. Really liked this one, I think it's some sort of a gradient map. It pixelised the image and adjusted the colours a bit, it also really made the blood pop out, though it covered up some of the details.

Why did he lose his hat? It's stupid and hard to draw.

You may have noticed the artstyle change a little, the previous images having neat lineart and little to no shading. That's because I am using different tools, sketchy and soft brushes, that allow me to experiment with lighting and textures more (plus the aforementioned filter altering the image even further).

Alright, I feel like this last image deserves a separate warning. It references episode 12 (spoiler ahead), specifically the moment before the bartender loses a hand, though it's not entirely accurate. It's rendered in more detail than any of the previous images, so keep that in mind before scrolling down.

Basically it's pov: Bonzo licks your hand.

I feel like I could've made his tongue bigger in this one, it seems kinda small compared to his mouth. I really like how the skin on his face ended up looking. It took a lot of work.

The spit makes it look weirdly sexual, doesn't it? Listen, that was not my intention, but I'm not erasing it. I set out to make the worst thing I could and, though not without cost, I have achieved it.

I tried splattering Bonzo in blood, but it wasn't really working for me and it covered up a lot of the detail I liked, so I just put it in the background.

The human hand is drawn from reference, which I found by googling "hand reaching out away from the viewer". And let me tell you: google is shit at looking for drawing references, but I figured it was just going to be a sketch to explore an idea, so I didn't bother trying to get a better one. And then I fixated on it for a couple hours, you know, like a normal person.

I literally (and I mean no exaggeration) dusted off my drawing tablet after a few months of no use to spend the entire weekend, after tmagp 12 came out, glued to the screen making those images, except for the b'onzo one, which I made this evening.

Just to clarify: I drew all of those by myself. No filthy AI image generation is allowed in this house. I am capable of committing far greater sins than an artificial intelligence ever will.

The only thing left here is to extend my sincere congratulations/condolences to whoever got this far. It's up to you to either think you're brave or realise that you're foolish for doing so, but be comforted by the fact that at least you didn't make this post, which I cannot say for myself.

he was a bit of an experiment in "CAN I have more than one fursona?" and also "CAN I make a sona who isn't Exactly Like Me?" i've always seen people whose sonas have Supernatural Elements and been like how can you do that. I respect it so much but if EYE am a normal human person how can I connect to something with strange abilities and qualities. and I still couldn't go so far as like... my friend whose sona is an honest to god several stories tall kaiju with a backstory and shit, but lee has supernatural luck and a connection to/control of storms/lightning because that's sick and awesome and cool. and also glows and has cool antlers when he wants. he's not as me as the others but he's there and he's not... NOT me?

Ever since I began to design my own versions of the Greek gods and goddesses, a particular group of them have proven to be the funnest for me, and that's Nyx’ children. I've always pictured that they would look less human-like compared to the other deities, as they are children of the night, and that's when the imagination goes wild. The first design I came up with for one of Nyx's children was Thanatos.

Art is 2 months old, but still holds up in my eyes.

He doesn't have a body under there, just a face, hands, and a large piece of fabric hiding a bunch of butterflies illuminated by a glowing light. I like to think the butterflies are actually souls of the deceased, and at the end of the day he and The Keres (daimones of violent or cruel death, Thanatos’ counterparts) go meet with Hermes and give him the souls they have collected that day. Just a neat little routine they got.

As the god of peaceful death, he is a very calm and good-natured person, but a bit naive, especially in not understanding that bad things can happen even if you are nice (basing off of his experiences with Sisyphus and Heracles), because he hadn't been exposed to a lot of bad situations. My best comparison is that he's like an alien from a utopian society, having difficulty comprehending the horrors we would face.

I do have other designs for Nyx's children, like Oizys and The Keres. I'll make sure to post Oizys soon, but The Keres I will need a bit more time for because they are very bird-like in appearance, and frankly, I don't know how to draw birds well. What Thanatos got on his head are wings, so I think that only serves to prove how unfamiliar I am with birds. But once I do get a hang of it, I will post their design.

Wind Breaker Episode 3 Review - Patrolling The Town

This episode was a good mix of fighting and world building. It also seems that Furin High School has no teachers as the students mainly obey the top dog of the school, Umemiya, and abide by the rules of the school. It’s an interesting concept as the school doesn’t feel like a school, but rather a base of operations.

The Sakura and Sugishita fight could’ve been better, but I know they were mainly saving the animation for the latter half of the episode. Though, it was nice to see Sakura not losing to Sugishita and even getting a hit on him that caused the taller guy to get a bad nosebleed. Their fight gets interrupted when Umemiya starts his broadcast on the intercom. It was also nice to see the other Bofurin kids praising Sakura, helping him open up and soak in human warmth.

I also like that this portion of the episode shows off all of the important characters’ personality so well. Sakura is hot-headed but can be rationalized; he only picked a fight with Sugishita because the latter did it first. It’s justified. Sugishita is a rather rampaging mad dog, but he stops the moment Umemiya speaks in the broadcast. He’s super loyal to him to the point that he glares and barks at Nirei when the latter commented on how weird it was that Umemiya brought up shaved ice. Nirei is just the stressed kid with anxiety. Suo is a troll, but he also functions as the mediator. I think that’s pretty neat. The mediator role usually is calm and a bit motherly, but this guy is just trolling like he breathes in it.  There’s also Hiragi who gets introduced formally and while he seems like a grouchy guy, he’s just a dude with stomach issues. I love the little gag of him taking out stomach pain medicine and plopping them into his mouth like candy. He’s going to die of overdose one day…

Their first order of business on the first day is…to patrol the town. Yes. Instead of studying, they patrol their side of the town. Accompanied by Hiragi, who happens to be one of the Four Kings of the school and works under Umemiya, Sakura, Sugishita, Nirei and Suo walk around and help out people. The part where they get taiyaki after painting walls was so cute, especially the part where Suo gives his taiyaki to Nirei! A lot of information about the town and the gangs’ policies are dumped into this episode.

Apparently, there is another territory just under a train track bridge and it belongs to a rival gang called Shishitoren. One of their bigwigs is introduced from the get-go. His name is Togame and his design and demeanor stand out a lot! I really like him! I love the green eyes, round sunglasses and his rather slow way of talking. I really like how he seems flighty and slow but he’s crazy dangerous. He’s also funny as he called Sakura “Othello-kun” and just casually says “Yahoo” to Hiragi when he sees him. His voice actor is Yuichiro Umehara! Togame is a bit different from the usual characters Umehara plays, but I really like his voice acting here! I’d love to hear more of the slow and relaxed type of voice from him more often!

Umemiya is introduced in the last portion of the episode. He’s a lot different than I expected. He likes gardening and is very laid-back. He even showed off his eggplant and green peppers. Given that he’s the top of the school, he is definitely powerful. Heck, he’s voiced by Yuichi Nakamura. You know he’s a big deal.

I honestly can’t wait to learn who Umemiya is and if Shishitoren will attack given that Sakura and Sugishita did sort of violate the rules. I’ll see you next week for the next episode review. Let me know your thoughts on this episode!

Lore in the Merch

Okay, so as I'm sure everyone has probably already heard, the latest line of merch from Vivziepop just dropped this morning on Shark Robot, and as I was perusing the list, figuring out exactly what it was that I was going to snag for myself, I found something that I thought was just a hair interesting.

Okay, so in the t-shirt line, there are a bunch of glow in the dark tees featuring various hazbin and helluva characters in the style of tarot cards, which were, to be fair, exceptionally neat.

And yes, I've already ordered one.

However, as I was admiring the designs later in the evening to make sure I got the one I wanted, just in case I missed any, I noticed that there were little numbers on each of the designs.

One quick trip to google later, I realized they were all for corresponding tarot cards from the major arcana, which, admittedly, does make a great deal of sense, all things considered.

It would be a little weird if they were supposed to be tarot cards and didn't have the numbers in the design.

That, I will assent.

In any case, I did a little digging and I found that Beelzebub was the sun, Blitz was the moon, Charlie and Vaggie were the strength card, Human Loona was the chariot, and Alastor was the devil.

And while my first response was 'yeah, that tracks', when I started to think about it, to really think about it, I realized that perhaps there was more here than just a funny little reference to a tarot card deck.

For example, Stolas got the star card for his tarot card number, and if one digs into the deeper meaning of what the star represents in the arcana, there are a number of parallels with his story and character that tie in with the star card. Finding new meaning, holding a new sense of self, discovering a new sense of purpose, getting away from your crazy ass ex-wife, just to name a few.

So, it makes sense that he'd get the star card.

Furthermore, Angel Dust got the hanged man card for his number, which also makes sense because, from my understanding, it's all about taking pause to reevaluate your strategy on life and consider whether or not this is the right way to go before taking the next step. 'The thinking that got into this mess won't get you out of it and it's time for a change' sort of card. So, considering his horrible life as a pornstar/ prostitute/ stripper and wanting to get away from it all by making a split second decision and submitting to the Happy Hotel for redemption treatment instead of just continuing on the way he's been would be more than enough to qualify him for the Hanged Man.

So, what does the card for Alastor mean?

Sure, it's easy to write it off with a 'well, he's the Devil of the show' sort of thing, but I suspect it has far more to do with his own way of thinking than it does anything else. I'm not an expert on tarot, but from what I can glean, the devil card has something to do with being trapped or restricted or held back by something that keeps you from being your best self; self-imposed limitations, or a lack of power, or feeling like you're not in control, or there's some external force that making someone feel like they're powerless to affect their situation, so they might as well not even try to change it, which, honestly, doesn't sound like Alastor at all, given what little we know about him thus far.

it sounds like something he might inflict, sure, but not something he'd be going through himself personally.

However, given the nature of the other cards and how those arcanas are linked to the individual character's arcs, logic dictates that the symbolism of the arcana are directly tied to the characters and their struggles.

So, what gives here?

Is Alastor really trapped a prison of his own making?

Does he actually feel powerless about his situation, which is why he outrightly dismissed Charlie's redemption scheme because, in his mind, it's far too late to change and there's no undoing what's been done?

Is that what's really going on here?

Or am I overthinking things again?

Well, either way, they hid lore in the merch.

I just wanted to point that out.

Furthermore, if they actually did foreshadow future character developments within the tarot card shirts for a show that has yet to premiere, I will officially be impressed.

pt 2 of my attempt at reference sheets for hgtg characters, this time its Ford Prefect! Yay!

books 1-3

First of all, lets adress the elephant in the room: where did this moustache even come from? My answer is: i have. absolutely no idea. I do not remember why i started drawing him with a moustache at all, but if you look at my first ever post with hgtg fanart the moustache is already there and thriving. I guess it was some kind of a calling from somewhere beyond. I do not regret that design choice a single bit, though. It adds to his character a lot imo and its fun to draw

Another weird thing you might notice is the rainbow freckles, what in the skittles is it . Again, dont really know. It was added for fun when my friend and i were sad that he looks like a human so i decided to try and give him weird but slight (if u can even call it that) unhuman traits. That how the tail thing happened, too. However i think ill get rid of the taik because i just cannot make it look good, it looks weird and im very unsure about it. But hey! it was a fun idea! I think.. i thought its kind of silly

This is where it gets fun, i just went crazy with his design because why the hell not!!!

In book 4 design i gave him a mullet and a new wardrobe(which is almost identical to his og outfit lol, i tried) which honestly kind of has cool butch lesbian vibes, i think its because of reference i used.. anyway he is a little more tired but still doing his thing, good for him

Book 5 design is honestly just very random (no pun intended), i jokingly suggested ford with long hair but then i drew it and was kind of amazed so it stuck. Glad i finally gave him a hawaiian shirt like any normal person who draws him would already do. Something about him going to work wearing a hawaiian shirt AND a neat little tie is just so silly to me i had to include it

Exams are coming up. Instead of studying, I wrote some silly thoughts I’ve had about my LPS humanizations. Because that’s more fun!

Ready? Let’s go!

-First, let’s mention their sexualities. Sunil is pansexual, Zoe is bisexual, Pepper is also bisexual (with a preference for women), Penny is asexual and heteromantic, Vinnie is also bi (with a preference for men), Minka is aroace, and Russell is demisexual.

-All their colored hair is all natural. They just live in a world where human hair colors varies a whole lot more.

-Musical instruments? Ooh, yes! The ones that are most into music are Sunil, Penny, and Zoe. Zoe sings (pff, duh-) Sunil can play guitar- both electric and acoustic, but he prefers electric since it sounds cooler. Penny is learning piano. As for the others? Vinnie did drumming back in high school (he and Sunil would even play together sometimes) but he doesn’t as much now. Minka likes the smaller, portable instruments- idk how to describe it, lol. The stuff like triangles, maracas, tambourines… Meanwhile Pepper and Russell just aren’t into playing music that much, but will cheer the others on.

-Russell’s canines are a little sharper and longer than normal. The others like to joke that he’s a vampire because of it.

-Penny has a collection of stuffed animals. Her favorite is a blue-purple panda (which is literally just the actual panda Penny Ling from the show lol-)

-Minka has a fascination for bugs. Going out and observing them, collecting them, studying them- girly just finds bugs interesting.

-Contrasting with Sunil- he has a big big fear of bugs. And Pepper loves to exploit that fear. Most of the time its just playful scares involving plastic bug toys. Or pretending a bug is on his neck or something. While to her, his reactions are funny, he doesn’t think the same.

-In terms of money, Zoe is the most well off among everyone. Her parents are super rich and have spoiled her throughout life. So she does the same to her friends. She’ll just buy them extravagant, expensive gifts out of nowhere. Of course, everyone is friends with her beyond that, but it’s a neat little bonus.

-Pepper is super particular about smell. She owns several different perfumes, colognes, deodorants, sanitizers… Which one she picks depends on her mood for the day.

-Oh hey, more Pepper. When she gets nervous, she’ll sweat. A lot. Kinda adds onto the previous headcanon listing; she’ll use all this stuff to hide the odor. Sometimes she’ll go overboard though, and mix up different clashing scents together. so it becomes kinda strong and overwhelming.

-Vinnie can be super indecisive. Say for example, going to a restaurant. If he’s already been there many times before and already knows his favorite, then perfect! He’ll just go with that. But when it comes to new places… oh boy. He’ll take frickin’ forever to decide. So he’ll usually tag someone along to pick for him in cases like that (usually Sunil). He’ll probably end up liking it anyway.

-Minka wears crocs, right? And you can put lil jibbitz on crocs, right? is there any particular reason as to why your gen 2 iterators have more human-like anatomy? or do you just like how it looks? i kept looking at euros and finding quite odd how he has human feet even though humans (supposedly) don't actually exist in the rw universe

while i was designing them all i was thinking about was "wouldn't it be funny if ancients got Really close to inventing the human shape in a world where that shape has no root, but then were like 'mm.. nah! this shape Sucks let's try something Else' and pushed all that We are off the table in favor of the fucked up lookin Gen 3 designs? ...yeah. yeah it would. irl humans aren't aware enough that we are in the same bag as horses when it comes to shit evolution lol, lessa goooo"

BUT! i will admit to u right here and right now without any issue- when it comes to Gen 2 feet, the very very human like shape that i've been using lately wasn't originally in the plan! those peets were meant to look more like shoes. if u look at the big OC post u can still see that as well! (Fish even still has very shoe-like feet. he didn't change cuz he's an old fuck for a Gen 2)

the design came closer to the look of our bare feet while i was poking at Suns' design in their prime. since i wanted only to put down some ideas for their outfit + maybe look into the feelings their vibes and appearance should evoke, i went with a different style than i usually go with while drawing itties to reach for a more... ethereal and flowy, maybe? feel to it n that included the feet being drawn Like That

i'll give in, here's one of my more successful attempts at 'em in their prime (not the completely finalized design tho)

i REALLY liked it n because of my Happye i decided to draw other Gen 2s with that as well. so yes. it's cuz my eyeball thinks it's nice 👁

(but also like,, those toes r not separate, that shit is more like neat lil painted lines for the sake of the imagery JSNFJNKS)
