Weirdly enough, I KNOW the answer to this!! It was the Dan Gets His Legs Waxed video! After that I went to his channel, found Phil's channel, etc. This was in the fall of 2018.

My question is... why?? Why THAT video? From Danisnotinteresting? Not even his main channel? Just bizarre that that's the method in which the algorithm introduced me to dnp. So now you know!

Jokes aside, I wouldn’t say Raul and Marlow are best friends per say, but they’re on good terms as fellow ghoul companions. Marlow is very outgoing and gets into A LOT of trouble, which would get on Raul’s nerves pretty quickly. There would be a lot of arguments and Marlow would specifically try to make Raul mad, but at the end of the day, Raul couldn’t deny how valuable Marlow is as a fighter and a doctor. With Raul as a sharpshooter and Marlow as a melee tank, man oh man they’d be unstoppable on the battlefield. The Courier would just have to deal with two snarky immortals bantering 24/7…

Hey, thank you for writing Elrond vs. the Valar, i totally support your points! Especially wanted to thank you for bringing up the horrible fate Earendil suffers, so glad to see another person talking about it!

I'm very glad I'm not alone in feeling that way!!

Eärendil's fate really broke my heart the first time I read the Silmarillion. It's even presented as a punishment, too! He and Elwing have to choose to be judged as Elves or Men, it's not just a choice of whether they'll be immortal. Elwing chooses for them both explicitly because Eärendil is tired of the world and lets her, even though he feels more Man. And then their sentence is to never set foot on Middle-Earth where their sons are, and for Eärendil to carry the star... basically to sail and fight without respite for eternity, he doesn't even canonically have days off. All for daring to ask for help.

Elrond has only heard the stories of course, and maybe a second-hand account from Arafinwë or something, so I'm not sure that he has a complete picture until he makes it to the Undying Lands. Maybe (I haven't written that bit yet) that's even the breaking point for him. The Exiles stuck in Mandos, Maglor being imprisoned, he disagrees and thinks it unfair but he can't deny the harm that they did. But Eärendil? Literally only tried to help.

Maleficent x Dr. Facilier: A Risky Venture

- It wasn't unusual for new villains to get a crush on Maleficent. Like – yes hello, water is wet, the Mouse won’t shut up, and the Mistress Of All Evil is the most attractive thing on legs, what else is new?

- It was, however, MUCH rarer for a newcomer to actually approach the elder villainess and make a move.

- To date only ten of the 127 Disney villains had ever tried, to varying degrees of success.

- Dr Facilier wasn’t one to simply sidle up and try his luck. At least not without a game plan and some research.

- Simply asking around got him some sly smirks, a huffy eye roll from Hades and the sort of glazed-over look from Jafar that spoke of things he’d really rather not hear about. Ursula cackled enough through her drink that he put her in the same ‘don’t ask’ camp as Jafar. Queen Grimhilde didn’t even deign to respond, and the Horned King simply glared and mimed breaking his neck for asking.

- The other five that had ever tried were apparently smote into craters for the audacity. He cast a look over the singed walls and decided to let those lie.

- He slid into a seat at an empty table, feeling Shadow pool around his feet under the long cloth. Idly, he let his cards flick and tumble through his fingers, deftly shuffling and reshuffling.

- The Loa were off the table. A. Because a date definitely counted as ‘something for himself’. B. Because he could hardly trust them when dealing with something so open ended as a crush. And c. Because he knew she would perceive him as lesser for depending on their help.

- He’d always had good eyes. Able to see what most others couldn’t. And while he would never claim to see through every disguise...from day one he’d been able to see the way fire and scales stretched and twisted under her skin – the way the lights in the room dimmed and flickered under her smile, how her cloak was full of raven feathers and vicious thorns. He could see the way her presence lanced through a crowd like a silent lightning strike – all ozone and anticipation under the thin blanket of night.

- When Hades had leaned over and clicked his jaw shut with a smirk, slyly asking “First time?” it’d taken all he had not to slip into the shadows – donning his signature charm like a shield.

- He blinked down at his hands, frowning at the faces of cards he’d laid down by habit. The devil, the seven of swords, the tower…

- A perfect talon clicks onto the tower. His heart thuds into his mouth as he looks up (and up and UP, hell she’s tall-) at the amused, elegant smile of one Mistress of All Evil.

- Hahaha shit.

- At a loss, he flings himself into his tried and tested talent: talking.

- “Evening, ma’am.” He tips his hat and tried desperately not to overthink the amused upturn of her lips, finding it to be much the same expression as a cat playing with mice. “To what do I owe the pleasure, stopping by little ol’ me?” Should he try and kiss her hand?? It was right there, he should probably look into how to regrow fingers just in case- “Is there...” he swallows. “Anything I can, help you with?”

- She chuckles, and he feels it run though his bones as if he were stood right next to a brass band’s drummers. Shadow has a vice grip on his ankles under the table and he tries so hard not to remember being dragged to his grave, tries not to kick his one remaining friend as Maleficent’s yellow eyes bore into his violet ones and he swears he might know how Hook feels – sized up by a reptile willing and eager to swallow him whole-

- “Plenty, little doctor.” She smiles, slow and sharp. He swallows thickly, fighting not to grin. “if you feel...up to the challenge?”

- He feels his lips drag up into an ill advised grin. “Yes ma’am~”

Oh gosh, only three??

Maybe it's cheesy but I love the proposal scene. There's so many layers to it: the fact it was episode 3x18 and TK woke Carlos up at 3:18 in the morning, just after Carlos told TK he can wake him up at 3 a.m. if he needs anything??? I love the red string of fate, I love synchronicity I love soulmates. I also love the fact TK holds Carlos' hands the way he did when he told him they make a pretty good team. I say it all the time, but they really do hold one another like that's the reason God gave them two hands <3 Also the way TK rocks back and forth with excitement? The same way he flipped the ring he was going to propose to Alex with but because of anxiety? If I'm going to love anything it's a reference let me tell you that much!

I have gone out of my way to show people the Lou story line because to this day it might actually be my favorite. It's so miniscule, in a way, in the grand scheme of things but nothing beats TK walking in, posed like this: 🧍‍♂️and asking Carlos if they were robbed. As if the COP would just be sitting in a mess of a living room if they had 😭

Saving Grace is tied with Push as my favorite episode and I'll occasionally think of Grace telling Judd, "You're so tall." and Judd replying with, "You're so beautiful." and feel the need to scream because I LOVE them so much. I have a spin-off I want to write based off a Tarlos AU that's in the work and I can't wait to write them falling in love because I love falling in love with their love.

Media consumption seems like the weirdest thing to call a hobby, but truly, that's what it is!

I love watching films that I don't know I'm about to love (Humboldt County, my beloved) , discovering new television shows that rewire my brain (looking at you AMC's Interview with the Vampire), listening to music that feels like sunshine (Cannock Chase by Labi Siffre, you will always be famous) or reading a book that makes me want to bite a brick (A Density of Souls by Christopher Rice ruined my life (affectionately)

If I'm not doing any of that, and this is going to sound so corny, but I write! I've been working on a novella for a little while as I'm trying to prepare something for grad school (that isn't gay firefighter fanfiction lol) and I was working on a book of poetry before realizing that I'm a much stronger narrative fiction writer than I am a poet (Ada Limón if I could just have a sprinkling of your voice please ma'am)

what's your favorite song/album right now?

Album wise it has to be Cowboy Carter. I've been saying it since forever, but Beyoncé truly is on a very different level than any other pop artist we have right now (and I like a lot of them! I loved eternal sunshine and I can not WAIT until Dua drops her third album in May)

If anyone is the music industry right now it is her because she is constantly reinventing herself as well and influencing the industry as whole. Did you know that she's the reason music comes out on Fridays now? Her impact !!

Anyways, one of my favorite genres of music is Classic Country; so think 1950s, 1960s Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Skeeter Davis, Lee Hazlewood, Glen Campbell; that whole bunch.

So, I was so excited to see what Beyoncé was going to cook up because that is a woman who makes sure each and every thing she makes is perfection and my god, it got as close as any of her work has gotten so far.

It also features an interpolation of Good Vibratations by The Beach Boys, who's one of my favorite artists so it feels like this album was made specifically with me in mind. Here's hoping Act III is rock because I need to hear her with Jack White again.

the VERY SMALL TOAD.

Bertrand was a librarian, ages ago, before the library was sealed up and disappeared. When he was reawakened, he wasn't anywhere near his body (and probably didn't want to be) and ended up in the only available nearby vessel - the body of a very small toad.

Berty is funny, knowledgeable, and a loyal friend. He's also PURPLE and ADORABLE.

And the best boy. The absolute top he/him. There are only two he/him characters in the whole book but he's the best by far.

Bertrand glanced down at himself. He was a dark purple, with lighter purple markings, speckled with gold. “A type of harlequin toad, if I’m not mistaken. Am I mistaken? I don’t know how versed you are on amphibians.” “Does that really matter right now?” Andi asked. “Well, several species of harlequin toads are poisonous, so it probably matters—“ Andi dropped him with a squeak and wiped her hand on her skirt. “Hey! That was extremely rude.” Bertrand righted himself. “You can’t just drop a person! Who taught you manners?” “You just said you could be poisonous,” Andi shot back. “Let’s start over, I believe we got off on the wrong foot,” Bertrand said. “Particularly the one that you were going to use to step on me.”

This is such a cute question! But I don’t think I have enough self confidence to claim another person as “my Ler” 😅 I have amazing friends who Ler for me, and I will call them my Ler while they’re teasing me, but I’m not gonna claim someone outside of that. I don’t think anyone would call me “their lee” 😅

I do, however, have one Ler friend who says I’m their favorite; I won’t tag them but they’ll know who they are ☺️

When I use that phrase in my posts I just mean whoever you (the reader) want to imagine as the Ler.

Hi! For the WIP game - Breakfast Series? 👀

Heyyyy!! So, I decided a while ago to turn Breakfast into a series. Lunch will be next and will cover Natasha & Kaidan overcoming what they witnessed on Horizon (both times), and is set during the Apollo's date 🥰

I'll finish the series with Dinner, which will be Natasha's more canon compliant version of the Citadel DLC and the apartment date with Kaidan 🥰 since in my long fic that whole ordeal is very different.

Here's a little snippet from what I have of Lunch's intro:

The Presidium was still recovering from the damage caused by the Cerberus troops that had invaded the Citadel weeks ago. With less access to resources, and limited personnel available for repairs, it would take longer to get back to normal. Even with the help of the Keepers. Despite the considerable mess around them, Apollo’s was bustling. Every table was occupied, and the pleasant hum of chatter filled the air.

Somehow, this only seemed to add to the anxiety Kaidan felt as he sat alone at a table among his fellow patrons. He’d chosen this seat carefully. It was set in a corner, further away from the others, and had a pleasant view out into the rest of the Presidium.

In the weeks since Udina’s attempted coup, and his final reconciliation with Natasha, she’d somehow agreed to this ridiculous idea he’d had for them to finally go on their first date. They’d never had the opportunity to do this before, since their relationship had been kept a careful secret. The circumstances had changed, time had passed, and now seemed like the perfect time.

It felt odd, though. To be going on a first date with someone he was already completely in love with. Yet here he sat, nervously waiting for her as if she’d stand him up at this point.

He absentmindedly adjusted his sleeve, making sure it was still neatly rolled up to his elbow. Thankfully the material of his button up shirt was thin enough to allow ample airflow, keeping him cool despite the slight heat of the Presidium. Each minute that passed felt like an eternity. He checked the time on his omni-tool, again. He’d shown up twenty minutes early, to ensure they’d have a good seat. He wasn’t entirely sure why, but he felt as if this date needed to be perfect. They’d been through so much. Both recently, and over the last three years. He glanced around at his fellow patrons, his eyes moving across their faces as he wondered how many of them were refugees. Likely, most of them were, since most of the homeworlds had fallen by this point. There wasn’t much good news coming in concerning the Reaper War. But at least he had this.

hi! for the questions about your book - what is your protagonist’s most significant relationship?? platonic familial romantic etc

fortune, the protagonist, has two pretty intense romantic relationships, he's married (not to either of the people he was in a romantic relationship with), he has a sworn brother and an older half-sister he would do anything for, and he's followed around literally and metaphorically by the ghost of his teacher, who forced him to kill her when he was ten, but i would say his most significant relationship is his platonic relationship with the historian prosperity. fortune usually can't help but involve himself in big events, and prosperity usually can't bring themself to do more than stand to the side during big events, and the two help each other grow in a way no other characters are really willing to do for them. also they're autistic about the same thing (wuxia stories) so that helps
