The prompts for the (sadly) last day of @heart-pirates-week fed right into my Tengu-verse brainrotting. So have a peak at my ideas for Law in that scenario, tattoos and fantasy included!

Burning hearts

Being a Kitsune is dangerous. Not only is their fox fire some mighty, sought after weapon, no. A rumor started coursing about their hearts being mythical remedies, going as far as claiming it to grant eternal life. If one manages to not burn themselves while trying to obtain it, that is. Figuratively and literally. While a fox spirit may not hurt itself with their powers, their marks are able to wreck havoc when they are sparking up in flames. The mightier the spirit, the more lines are adorning their skin, akin to delicate tattoos.

Law spent his whole life on the run from people and youkai trying to use him as an asset. He blames it on him being a four-tailed beast, effectively twisting the devine lineage into a curse. Labeling him the fox of death.

But after years of suffering and being shackled by the evil clutches of a gone-mad Tengu, he found his solace. Ironically thanks to another Tengu, who also seems to be a danger magnet. Especially to himself.

Now, he gets to enjoy his life at the temple. Their territory being a safe haven for all kinds of creatures, land and sea alike. For someone not being fond of water, his closest pals consisting mostly of water beasts makes up for very peculiar situations. But he wouldn't trade his new life for the world. So while he may have a literal burning heart, it now burns figuratively again to his own disposure.

Afterword: This week went by in a flash, but I'm so glad to have managed to participate. It's been a blast, seeing all those different approaches and lovely works. The collective adoration for this crew highlighted every single day and I'm grateful for this experience!

The face of his former friend shifted between surprise and incomprehension as a heavy mass landed on Izuku's shoulder, letting out a shrill cry as it slammed its wings into the boy's hair. Izuku looked uncomprehendingly at the bird that had just come down on him, almost stumbling from the unexpected addition of weight.

Is this the one I fed?

The raven on his shoulder tilted its head, its red eyes staring at the teenager as it clicked its beak.

It was huge.

Much bigger than he remembered.

Izuku knew that crows could be imposing. He had seen pictures and videos, he had even seen them up close for the past week, as the birds seemed to have no concept of personal space. But Izuku didn't think they were that big.

He felt the claws tightening against his shoulder, and he was suddenly acutely aware that the slightest sudden movement and this wild animal with daggers for paws could lacerate his arm badly.

Or his face.

Don't poke my eyes out, please.

"Deku, what the fuck is this?"

I have a little time skip au with 120-200 years old Sara,Itto and Takuya (and other youkai)

It’s not the main line but it have some plot with ittosara family, anyway long story short: Sara found a little Tengu child and brought her home. Then little Tengu met big and loud Oni who lives with her finder

Little Tengu may remind of Sara but that because I think all youkai have species differences. Like all Tengu have this sharp long nose, dark hair(black,brown,blue or violet), long pointy ears and etc. all goes the same to other youkai species

There may be some differences inside the species but there still the main features that all of them have( Sara have much more lighter hair colour but she still look like a normal Tengu)

(I am NOT immune to “found family” trop)

I don’t think Ittosara will have biological child(like yeah it’s interesting and lovely but I just don’t see it) but they always have an option to adopt little youkai.

Maybe some time later they could have biological little half Oni half Tengu kid but I don’t know. Found family look more suitable for them in my opinion.

NaNoWriMo Day #16

Bruce sat in the bat cave, long after he'd sent his kids to bed. In his hands were the batarangs Phantom had gifted him. They were unnaturally cold in his hands, but the chill never became painful. In fact, it was strangely almost comforting.

Thinking back on Phantom, Bruce wasn't sure what to make of their meeting. The kid seemed to be a few years younger than Tim, and had all but told them he was being hunted. Phantom had come to them seeking protection from someone, or multiple someones, for himself and four others, most of which were kids. On one hand, it made his heart ache, knowing these kids had to run from their previous homes, their "haunt". On the other hand, Phantom's genuine belief that they were something beyond human was obvious and more than a bit unsettling (he ignored the part of him that reveled in that belief, the part that had him on edge before an Arkham breakout, the part that saw Phantom and whispered "other, different, like me".)

His kids had held similar reservations, though they'd all agreed Phantom wasn't a threat. His gifts, though obviously magical and not human in nature, had felt benign and were reasonably well thought out, and though the level of research each gift had symbolized was slightly worrying, Babs had assured them she'd closed all the holes in their internet security those gifts had exposed. In the end, they'd all agreed to honor Phantom's request for refuge. The kid's relief was profound and practically soul deep, which reassured Bruce they'd made the right choice.

As Bruce fiddled with his new batarangs, which held a very faint green sheen at the edges, he remembered the moment his "feeling" had reached its peak. Something had changed, something big, when he'd accepted Phantom's gifts. He still didn't know what, exactly, had happened, but he'd felt some sort of shift in the energy Gotham exuded, in his children, in him. He had felt the sense of connection between him and his children grow ever so slightly stronger, and he knew they'd felt it, too.

Bruce flipped the batarang in his dominant hand and caught it with ease, returning it to the holster with a sigh. Whatever Phantom was, whoever he was running from, whatever his presence meant for his family, and Gotham as a whole, Bruce had a feeling they'd be crossing paths with him again soon.

Danny phased invisibly into his and Jazz's apartment, turning human as he sat at the table with a thoughtful frown on his face. Jazz looked over at him from the stove, a questioning look on her face, though she didn't pry, which he was thankful for. He needed to gather his thoughts before he explained what had happened tonight.

When Jazz placed a bowl of spaghetti in front of him, Danny took a deep breath. "You owe Sam ten bucks," he started, smiling at Jazz's soft curse. "Condor is definitely connected to death, but they're equally connected to life, and the only being or creature we know of that is perfectly balanced between life and death, that isn't a halfa, is a phoenix. They also don't have that slimy, necromantic feel liches are supposed to."

Jazz hummed as she swallowed her mouthful. "What about the others? How close were we on our guesses of them?"

"Well, Batman is definitely a guardian deity, and Gotham is definitely his territory. Ibis, who I actually interacted with, was also spot on, definitely a kitsune. You should have seen them move, Jazz, it was almost ethereal how gracefully they moved. Oh, and Starling? Definitely at least related to banshees. I don't think they're a true banshee, because that connection to death wasn't there, but they're at least related to banshees." Danny paused to take a few bites before continuing. "I think Signal is a Will-o'-the-wisp, actually. You know how I thought they'd be a vengeful spirit? Having been in their presence, I gotta say, not very vengeful. Very mischievous, somewhat malicious, but mostly protective, strangely enough. Same with Raven, they practically ooze protective vibes, along with some very pointed trickster energy. I think Raven might be some sort of protection based deity, under Batman's authority, with strong trickster leanings, which is an interesting mix in my opinion. Oh, and Robin is definitely fae, they've got a very ethereal look to them, paired with their grace and general mischievousness, there's no doubt. BlackBat is more difficult to say. I think they're either a shape changing shadow wolf or otherwise just living shadows. Even when they were illuminated by my glowy self, I could barely see them. It was trippy, I'll tell you that much right now."

They continued eating in silence for a bit before Jazz asked, "So am I signing the full lease tomorrow, or are we moving on?"

Danny grinned. "Oh no, we're good. Batman actually told me to get the others here as soon as possible." His grin mellowed to a small, warm smile. "I think he's worried about them, Jazz. When I mentioned only two of us were currently in Gotham because the others weren't able to come with us when we left, he asked if we needed help getting them here. He seemed to relax when I told him we had a plan and that they were just waiting for the go-ahead from our end."

"Are you going to call them after we finish dinner, then?" Jazz asked, taking another bite.

Danny nodded. "Yeah, Ellie will grab them in the middle of the night. They'll wait until morning with Frostbite before portaling in so we can get the lease signed." He paused, stirring his spaghetti absentmindedly as he thought. "I think," he started haltingly. "I think the bat clan aren't actually aware they're not human."

Jazz paused, spaghetti falling off her fork and back into her bowl as she stared at him in shock. "What do you mean, how could they not know their own natures? You guys pegged them as eldritch beings as soon as you discovered them, they have to know!"

"I don't know, they just. They didn't seem to understand why I was giving them gifts or behaving the way I was. They also looked very confused at a few of my gifts, like they weren't sure why I'd chosen that specific thing for them, even though it makes sense for what kind of being they are!" Danny huffed. Then he sighed. "If they don't actually know what they are, then someone needs to explain it to them. They deserve to know what they are, especially because some of their species have very specific instincts that could be very confusing, even terrifying, for someone who thinks they're human. I... Should I offer to teach them more about themselves next time I see them?"

Jazz looked at him with a small smile. "If you think they'd be receptive to it, I think that'd be for the best, especially if you're right about them thinking they're human. I highly doubt we'll be the only Fright to seek asylum here, after all."

Danny nodded. "Then tomorrow night, I'll make the offer. If we get kicked out because I offend them, then at least we'll all be together."

This would have been longer, or at least done sooner, if I hadn't had an ocular migraine come out of nowhere earlier today (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠) but after a two hour nap, I could actually see again, so I was finally able to get to work on this ficlet! ✧⁠\⁠(⁠>⁠o⁠<⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠✧ I had a lot of fun coming up with what the members of the Batfam had managed to become due to the entire city believing them to not be human (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠) Jason was fun, cuz I hadn't really thought about what exactly liches were before, so when I realized that Voldemort from Harry Potter was basically a textbook lich, I knew I had to change my initial plan for Jason (⁠^⁠～⁠^⁠;⁠)⁠ゞ but hey, now he gets super strength and the ability to heal himself from anything, including death! Much better than being able to create essentially undead thralls lol (⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠)

I'm seriously hoping to continue this into at least one more part, with the Bats coming to terms with and learning more about their new supernatural status, possibly even the Justice League initiating contact with the distinctly not human protectors of Gotham, but we'll have to see what prompts I find (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧

OH! ALSO! I'm so close to reaching 200 followers! When I do, I'm thinking of celebrating somehow, but I'm not sure what to do. If any of you have any ideas, please, let me know! I might take your suggestion to heart (⁠◠⁠‿⁠・⁠)⁠—⁠☆ also, if I get to 260 by the 26th of this month, I'll do another celebration lol

[this is AU territory so some things might be different from the OG lore ]: I don’t know what to say about my Tengu…— He used to be a neutral warrior living on the top of the mountain. He would duel anyone who wished to face him. But ever since the Sorcerer appeared, his powers slowly corrupted Tengu, making him aggressive and delusional— On the promise that Sorcerer will leave him alone— he descended from his mountain, and burned down the human village. That night he unknowingly killed the rest of Norissu nine members— leaving only the First Ninja alive.

I know it looks like the answer is pretty obvious, but you'll be surprised when I say:

Kōya

she's like Big Mama in that she has two forms; one big (true form) and one small (the one everyone sees). Kōya likes the smaller form better, easier to sneak about and out of reunions and parties they don't wanna be in, and people have a habit of overlooking her when they're short, which is a relief on their social anxiety plagued ass

TL;DR – Kōya is the tallest, but she likes it better when she's not

"Midoriya, how in the world did you send a flock of birds at your comrade?"

Izuku merely looked at him, lips pursed. Beyond Kacchan's screaming, which they could very well have mistaken for a threat (which would be totally justifiable) or anything like that, he had no idea why the crows had teamed up against him instead of scurrying off.

And it had been so sudden.

The first one had just flown in like a lightning bolt, a dark blur of feathers and claws melting onto the blond in a scream, before being followed by the whole group.

But his teacher, who rubbed his temples and mumbled to himself, was waiting for an answer from him.

After all, everyone in this school had established that if anything abnormal was happening, it was just Izuku's fault. A window breaking for no reason? Izuku is to blame. The fuses blew? Izuku must have played with the switches. Doors that slam too hard? Izuku. Healthy food suddenly spoiled? Objects disappearing? Plants blooming in the middle of winter? Izuku, Izuku and Izuku again.

And it would seem that telepathic control over wild animals is a new addition to the list.

Ninjavember 2023!

Here's completed version with a bunch of explaining below each picture! Just scroll down if you don't want to see me blabbering. (I tried to go short as much as possible)

(I have a lot of AUs and headcanons that only exist in my head and my sketchbooks. Forgive me for wanting to spill them out.)

Day 2: Randy was listening to music with earphones so he didn't know Theresa was sitting next to him. Imagine how embarrassed he would get when he knows.

Day 8: Tech-Ninja AU. It's about machinist Randy being set up by Mcfist for murdering the town hero Ninja with his invention, the Tech-Ninja armor. Then the spirit of the destroyed Nomicon travelled to his armor and become an AI, choosing him to be the next Ninja. So Randy accepted it and was determined to make up for what he caused, when nobody except Howard, the boss of Weinerman industries, trusted him.

Day 10: Apocalypse AU. It's about Randy lost the battle at the end of season 2 and became the prisoner of the Sorcerer. The Nomicon was handed to Howard before that, and they later recruited survivors to form a resistance against the Sorcerer. Then Randy was stanked, but instead of turning into a monster, he was brainwashed and given the power of creating his own red and black stank. And- You know what will happen. (Inspired by the Darkness of Randy Cunningham)

Day 13: Elemental trial AU. You can say it's my take on what will happen in season 3. The Carp god was under the cover of a random carpfish as Norisville mascot. After a series of events it was awaken and gave Randy the power of Ice Rage.

Day 14: I think there's more than just the blood of First Ninja's brothers, since nobody knows how to destank people at the beginning...

Day 17: The Warrior might have been living or sleeping there, waiting for some ninjas to wake him up or consult him about his forbidden arts. (Ha, It's kinda like Eclipsa in Star vs. the forces of Evil)

Day 18: Or it can be called the New Generation AU. In the future, Randy took the place of Messager as well as the Ninja Guardian, while Brent became the new Sword Smith and Sorceress became their main villain. I am not really good at designing OCs so there's no next ninja yet.

However, I read a fanfic of another fandom in the form of CYOA, and it gave me new idea: just let the reader be the next ninja, it will be fun, too. (Also, this AU was inspired by an RC9GN fanfic titled from the past to the future, where future Randy became Ninja Guardian. But I couldn't find it on fanfiction.net any more. Has anyone read it? I didn't dream about it, right?)

Day 19: During that time I got even crazier after I read Enter the Nomicon. It's hard to believe I had a crazy period of shipping Randicon, even for myself. Especially weird for me since I now have a completely different view about Nomicon (peek at my Yokai Ninja AU comics). Time really can change a person, wow.

Day 21: Yes, a whole page just for this headcanon. I used the screenshots in the show because it's too hard to draw. The barrier thing is kinda like the one that held Bill's power in the range of Gravity Falls.

Day 23: Danny: the Walking Air-Conditioner. Inspired by a chapter of Secret Quartet. Danny phased his hand through the scarf. Just imagine your friend put a cold hand inside your scarf in winter. *shiver*

Day 25: Besides Ninja vine ball, there are also spike ball, gas ball, sonic ball, rainbow illusion ball, tear ball and so on. I just pick the most common one from my ninja balls headcanons to put in here.

Day 27: You may see I prefer using numbers to refer episodes, because that's how I track and rewatch them. To be more specific, I list some keywords here: NomiRandy, First Ninja, Debbie, Tengu. As fellow RC9GN Fans I'm sure you get it.

Day 30: It's a half-baked AU thing. The flowers I tried to draw are rosemary?
