He’s just always there.

While you’re chatting with a friend, he’s sitting a foot or two away, slicing a clean dagger through an apple, cutting off a small piece and extending it to you silently.

He is absolutely not afraid to use his stature and his scary reputation to his advantage when it comes to protecting you. 

Some guy made you uncomfortable in the laundry room? Well, now every Thursday night is laundry night for both of you, and he’s gonna stand behind you the whole time, brooding at anyone in the room Xaden-style and making sure they leave you alone.

Garrick’s is a bit more nuanced — Harm is going to come to you no matter what, because the world is cruel and we’re literally preparing for war. While I’ll still do everything I can to protect you, I’ll also do everything I can to teach you to protect yourself.

He’s strict about keeping your training routine, giving you extra practice sparring near-daily. He knows when you can handle it and when you can’t. On days when you’re truly exhausted, injured, or at your limit, or something really upset you etc, you’ll spend training time resting — cuddles!

I know this man is an amazing cuddler. All that soft, warm muscle… big hands… strong arms to wrap around you… there’s no escape. Not that you’d ever want to leave lol

He takes responsibility for your safety (as much as he can in this very dangerous school) while still letting you handle yourself.

He’ll fill your water bottle in the morning, and he expects it to be empty at the end of the day or he will make you chug it because hydration is important. He ignores any eye rolls or complaints — you both know that he does this because he loves you.

He makes sure you’re eating, knows your favorite and least favorite foods, and will wordlessly move things on / off of your plate at meals, because you’re sitting directly next to him, of course. You know he wants you close and that’s a way you show love back to him. You also give him your leftovers sometimes. The boy can eat; that's half of how he put on so much muscle.

If you have long hair, he’ll keep one of your hairbands or pins etc in his pocket for whenever the need arises. He likes helping you with your hair, too. He's not the best at braiding or doing other hairstyles, but he’s trying and he’s improving! He also absolutely loves it when you sit in front of him and let him brush your hair / detangle / condition it etc.

He will always take the opportunity to wash your hair. He's super thorough with it and it feels so nice and relaxing.

That exclamation was enough to snap Shadowheart out of her daze. Tavaris knew the distant looking her eye. She had seen it reflected in pools of blood and glints of metal – she was remembering something once lost.

“We…” Shadowheart clenched her fist before lowering it, almost ashamed, “We should help the others. Astarion might convince Karlach to pull the wrong lever.”

“He won’t.” She said softly, facing the statue in front of them as she came to a stop beside her, “Another episode? Are you alright?”

Her jaw was clenched tight, a resolution Tavaris couldn’t understand steeled her gaze. “Ignore it Tavaris. It isn’t a hamper us.”

With a loud screech and a groan of protest, the windmill stilled. Giving way to the sounds of the gnome throwing up upon finally stopping. It was almost drowned out by Karlach wooing out a string of cheers at apparently picking the right lever.

“Can you two get him down?” Tavaris looked over her shoulder at the two emerging from the windmill, “We’re going to hang back a moment.”

“Sure thing, Tavy.” Karlach nodded, bounding for the front of the windmill, oblivious to the slight tension forming.

Her elven friend on the other hand hesitated, his head tilted to the side and that cute way he always did when he was thinking. They locked eyes for a moment, even from their distance from one another she could see the way the sun glinted off of the red within his irises.

The tadpole behind her eye socket writhed and pulsed, trying to reach out to Astarion’s. “Please Star, this is a delicate moment.”

Though they were speaking telepathically, she could practically feel him sigh over her shoulder and into the shell of her pointed ear, “Alright. But if she kills you, I’m not going to be the one who drags you through the muck back to Withers.” She severed the connection, returning her attention to Shadowheart. “What aren’t you telling me?” Unlike how she had spoken with the butler or the goblin, her tone was kept light – free of any anger or annoyance.

My BG3 player characters so far!

Tavi (half elf gold draconic sorcerer) - custom origin. Goody-two-shoes who ended up developing a very hard-line "no tadpoles, no evil outsiders" policy. Romanced Shadowheart (not who I was expecting, but how sweet she was once I gave her the space to open up was just too cute) and Halsin. Did the Orpheus mindflayer mercy kill ending.

Dirge (tiefling lore bard) - dark urge. I turned the difficulty up and started messing around with mods at this point (unlimited party size my beloved), but dropped the playthrough early act 2 due to not vibing with PC bard and incoherent roleplay (I pretty much took every dark urge dialogue option just to see what would happen, but didn't change enough of the major plot beats). Romanced Astarion.

Yasrena (drow assassin rogue/gloomstalker ranger) - dark urge. Started off with the goal of being "smart evil" but toward the end as she embraced the Urge she got more and more omnicidal. Raided the grove, killed Isobel, had Shadowheart kill Aylin, teamed up with Gortash, etc. Romanced Astarion and broke up with him after he ascended, then (due to the way the patch timing worked) immediately jumped ship to Minthara. Claimed the netherbrain in Bhaal's name. Evil act that made me, the player, feel the worst: ransacking Astarion's mind in order to manipulate him into taking the astral tadpole.

Tethys (half-elf oath of conquest paladin) - dark urge. A self-righteous paladin who loves telling other people how they should solve their problems. Currently early act 2; I'm looking forward to seeing how the resist side of durge plays out. Romancing Karlach, which I'm sure is going to absolutely destroy me come act 3.

Watched NATM:KRA. Here are my thoughts.

Heads up: there will be spoilers, and a considerable level of negativity, so if you're not up for that I recommend scrolling past.

Off the bat, the animation is really smooth and looks nice. Doesn't look at all what I expected it to before the trailer hit.

Honestly a lot of things really were not what I expected, so it really threw me for a loop.

They did not include Ahkmenrah AT ALL. That's just offensive to me. His tablet is literally the whole point for these movies. They included his evil brother as the main villain, though.

I really like Seth. He's my second favorite addition. He and Kah didn't flirt enough for me. I expected more flirting. I do think Seth likes Kah though...

They could have done without the fart jokes. It's not too out of character for the movies, considering all the times monkey piss was involved in the franchise. I'm glad they acknowledged that everybody toots, even gods. That's a question answered right there, that I probably never would have thought to ask lmao.

Jed and Tavi? Their designs were cute, and they've legitimately grown on me. They're so so different from their live action looks (I know probably to avoid paying to use the old actors' likeness) and I wish we could have had more of them (including the classic running gag of them screaming). Plus, there wasn't much flirting going on? Octavius being annoyed by Jed was cute, but I consider it very OOC.

Joan of Arc is a great addition and my favorite new character. I love her so much!! And it seems her and Sacagawea could have had something going on. Just sayin'.

Some of the jokes I legitimately laughed at (more often the ones with Jed and Tavi) but some just didn't get me at all. Hit-or-miss, no laughapalooza but had some of the awkward charm of the previous films.

There are several inconsistencies with the main films that make it impossible for me to consider this film as canon. It's a cute off-canon project, but it just doesn't fit in with the other movies to me.

Nick has the cutest crush on a girl, it's honestly adorable. His jazz DJ thing was really creative and cool, and I loved how that was incorporated in such a neat way.

I'm glad the writers at least acknowledged that it wouldn't be a Night At The Museum without a dance party at the end. The music was really cool and I enjoyed the sequence a lot. It was a great way to end the movie.

OVERALL: I'm honestly,, underwhelmed. There's just too many things I don't like/ inconsistencies/ etc. for me to love this movie right off. There is a not-insignificant chance my feelings will change, but fresh after the first viewing, I don't see myself rewatching as much as I did the first three films. Like I said, I'll consider this as a non-canon offshoot of the main franchise, but it doesn't hit enough marks for me. I may make an update after some time or a second viewing if my feelings change, but more than anything it just makes me want to rewatch the other three films.

Sorry if my response was a little disappointing to some of you, but I want to be honest about how I feel. I just don't think it's for me that much. I was more "that's not right/that's not how it works" when watching the film which made it a less positive experience for me. My expectations almost certainly affected my response which is why I'm going to give it a grace period before going all in on the details, because there's a decent chance I'll feel different about it as time goes on. I just don't feel great about the whole thing right now. I'm sorry.

I still respect people who found it enjoyable, and I like to see that some people really really liked it. I'm happy for them, and pretty jealous lmao. generic outro that I can't come up with right now cause I'm tired and have depression.

Ohgod a hurt/comfort fic with trying to introduce family to the centipede taur and everyone reacts badly bc BIG CENTIPEDE and ur S/O feels a w f u l bc its smth they've experienced their whole life and ur like "My family is gonna learn how amazing u are if it's the last goddamn thing I do is2g-" Centipede taur would probably be rlly good at crossing precarious terrain, bc of all their leggies for ultimate stabilization- ooohhhhhh maybe they work in Search and Rescue in an area w a nasty forest and mountain ravine area ooo

OH so many tattoos. I was gonna do visuals, but was having too much trouble finding them. Also it would have made this way too long.

Of my Wayhaven girls, Janine’s the only one with no tattoos(she doesn’t like needles even before Murphy). AJ has a ladybug on her ankle, Kasey has a soundwave from a thunderclap along the edge of her ribcage, and Mallory has “non ducor, duco” on her right shoulder blade(ty for that, again :3) AJ’s is just because she thought it was cute, Kasey loves thunderstorms, and Mallory’s is “I am not led, I lead” in Latin which just sums her up as a character. (The only one I had visuals for is Kasey’s and I can’t find them, rip)

Other IFs... Callie (Speaker) has a dandelion on her ankle with the fluff blowing around her calf, no special reason.

Trick (ShoH) has two geometric lines around her right forearm and one around her left, just bc they look cool.

 Jael (Wayfarer) has a raven on her shoulder for the forests she came from, and geometric lines just below that. (She’d say there’s no special meaning for the lines, but the fact it matches Aeran’s on the opposite arm and looks like the raven is landing on them makes that hard to believe) 

...I feel like one of my Keepers has a tattoo, but I can’t remember who or what of xD oops.

Jasiri(PfKm) has a kaleidoscope of butterflies going up from her left hip to right shoulder, that’s just because she loves butterflies and worships Desna.

Tavi has Hylea’s symbol inside her wrist, only the arches are sabres. I feel like she has  another one but can’t remember what it is 😅

Lisa Shepard has the Mindoir colonial seal on the inside of her right elbow and a vector-style silhouette of an Alliance soldier with angel wings on her back, for those she’s lost. (the angel’s for Gabe, has his birth-death years under the feet)

Emily Shepard has a blue-tinged daisy tattoo on her right bicep. She got it to match with a reddish one Ashley got.

Bry and Vica obviously have the typical Mirialan facial tattoos, Bry also has a diamonds/chevron pattern up her spine and curling out above her hips(may love it more than she’ll ever admit when Jonas kisses along them /cough), a band of chevrons around her left bicep, and does patterns that start on the back of her hands and spiral up her arms as wedding/anniversary tattoos. Vica also has twin bands of chevrons on her right wrist heading opposite directions and a trio of diamond trios around her navel as a memorial for the temple on Coruscant.

Keme has the Clan Cadera heraldry (the swoop with the lines through it) on the inside of her wrist. it says “Ni partayli” above and “ner vod” below, which is Mando’a for “I remember you, my friend” as a remembrance for Torian.

Tragen has the forehead one, got it for surviving the Ziost training.

Do you have any headcanon about the Horsemen their kids?

No strong ones. Nothing I'd be able to write about.

We have some understanding of Mads and Tavi.

I know a lot of people love the idea of a future romance between Ivars and Indie, with Indie being a dancer and I get that. It's a cute idea and I know people are dying for the TorrancexGrayson romance in some form. For me though, I don't feel strongly inclined towards it. It feels like DamonWinter 2.0 in my head. And I've spoken on my HC of Indie being a volleyball player.

Out of all three Grayson kids, I feel Finn would be the most mischievous. Not quite like Tavi, but more so than her siblings.

I realize now that Indie is the most like Will, so she would probably be the most mischievous, but maybe they're mischievous in different ways. I hope it didn't skip Finn.

I think for the most part, all the kids get along great but go their own ways as they grow, branching out into different friend groups and social circles. One thing is for sure though, is that you don't mess with any of them and not even because of their parents. Mads, Ivars and Gunnar may not spend a lot of time with II, but if they hear any murmuring of bullying, you best bet every one of those kids are making an appearance. And only God could save you if Athos catches ear of it.

Regarding the Fane's, I didn't care for Athos appearance in NF and Aaron showed up too late to really have any HC. Other than their both spoiled by their dad.

Jett is probably pretty chill all things considered. I don't think she'd get jealous of all the attention Mads gets for being so odd. She might even be very protective of him, though she knows he doesn't need it or care.

The Torrance boys are...well. They're Damon's kids. 'nuff said.

Dru was woken up by an excited yet worried Thais, just as she predicted. Her friend was shaking her by her shoulders, and she stared into Thais' eyes. "What on earth are you doing here Dru?" She asked, and Dru shook her head stubbornly. "Nope, I need to wake up for a bit, and you going over your date with Tomas would be a good idea for my brain to start up." Dru sat up straight, and looked her friend in her eyes. She took a good look at Thais, who's face was still radiating a happy glow, her outfit for the date still flawless which only meant Tomas had been a good boy all throughout the evening. Not that this surprised Dru, but it was good to see Thais had been treated properly on her first date. Thais gave a dramatic sigh, before her eyes lit up like two bright spotlights. "Well, Tomas first decided to pick me up and he gave me this adorable keychain!" She jumped off the bed, and proceeded to run to her purse. She pulled out a small object; it was a little turtle figurine, with big sparkling eyes. Dru grinned, knowing how much Thais loved turtles. "That's a very thoughtful cute gift he gave you. " "I know! He wanted to give me something and considering I'm allergic to flowers he thought of making the keychain." Thais was shining, clearly touched he'd gone and put in effort for their first date. "He made it?" "Yeah, he asked Tavi to teach him." Tomas had two childhood friends, Tavi and Zeynep, and the three had been dubbed as The Three Musketeers. They refused to pair up as parabatai because they didn't wanted to leave a person behind as the awkward third wheel. "I thought the material looked familiar. He really is smitten with you girl!" Thais grinned moony. "I think I'm too, Dru! It was magical. He had planned an evening picnic in a secure, private place in Central Park. He mentioned bribing a few Faeries to guard the set-up he created for us. Like, the cloth we were sitting on? He had framed it with fake roses all around the edges! I could go on about the countless of little details. He's really so romantic." Thais allowed herself to dramatically fall on Dru's bed, as she stared dreamily at the ceiling. "And did Laura throw a tantrum?" "Nope, she sulked a bit during lunch but furtermore she was good." Thais said relieved. "Now, are you going to tell me why you're here? Did your brother and Kit Herondale have an angsty BL moment?" "Thais!" Dru hit her with the pillow. She should have kept the gossip about Kit and Ty to herself, but she was tired of keeping secrets all the time. "What? Can't a girl ask?" "Not when one of the boys is my brother, that's just gross. No, we got attacked by Faeries." Thais bolted upright, and immediately scanned Dru for any injuries. "I'm fine. Emma got hurt, but Catarina and Tessa are working their magic and nursing skills on her. She'll be back on her feet in no time." Dru explained. "Why did they attack you?" Thais said, her voice immediately stern. When she was concerned, she bit down on the subject with the tenacity of a pittbull. Something Dru both appreciated and loathed. "Remember when I said the Herondales kept in hiding because they feared more then the Clave?" Thais nodded. "Have you ever heard of the First Heir?" "Wasn't that something Faerie related?" "Yeah, she was the daughter of the Seelie Queen and Kieran's dad. Everyone believes she disappeared, but in actuality, the King was a misogynist who wanted her dead because he didn't wanted a female heir" "No way! He staged her dissapearance?" "Not exactly, but she got away from her assasination. She then hooked up with the son of Tobias Herondale." Thais' mouth dropped wide open. "No freaking way, Kit Herondale is a descendant of the Faerie royalty?!" "Yes, and he actually has claim to the entire lands of Faerie! Now, it seems whoever wants Kit not to get the throne this time around, has finally found him. We're betting it's the Seelie Queen but we have no evidence to confront her with." Dru grumbled, and Thais just looked at her with her mouth gaping open for a minute. "This doesn't means another war, does it?" "Let's hope not."

JASON holds your hand hesitantly. he wouldn’t really be comfortable with touch, the sensation of his flawed hands on your perfection (at least in the way he sees you; as the epitome of warmth and love)-- it was a sensation he was afraid of, as if his touch was a kind of poison for you. 

so you would probably be the first to reach out and hold his hand, as a way to keep from losing one another in a crowded street. even if you thought nothing of it, your hand holding onto his made the world blur into one breath. what amazed him was that you didn't retreat at first touch, that you didn’t despise the feel his skin against yours (his flaws against your kindness). maybe it was because you were distracted by navigating through the crowd, or by briskly walking onward until you found the bakery the two of you spent the early evening searching for. but with each step you took forward, jason grew more confused by your touch, by his hand in yours. 

he wasn’t comfortable with touch before but he didn’t realize just how warm a person could be; he didn’t realize that your touch felt like he was standing still and the path was clear; he didn’t realize that your kind of love was hidden away in the warmth of his hand in yours.

the way DUKE holds your hand is revitalizing, a simple act turned into a conversation. holding his hand, the sensation of his in yours, always managed to spark something subtle within and between you two, as if when your hand is in his, a whole new world is paved and pathed for you.

but I dont think holding hands with duke would be life-changing or earth-shattering. he would just be holding your hand, and you holding his as the two of you walked through a the park together, watching the setting sun whisper to each leave ‘goodnight.’ in such a scenic way, holding his hand felt as if it was fated, as if it was the only answer in a sea of questions.

after a while, the conversation (of movies, books, birds, and planes) between you two died down, becoming, now, a conversation in touch-- with him rubbing the back of your hand, you squeezing back. you’re telling each other stories, feelings, fears, and declarations of love with each stroke, swipe, and squeeze as the evening sun disappears behind gotham’s city life. there’s no need for words when he holds your hand.

DICK holds your hand gently, in a way that carries. he loves your touch, even in the smallest doses— a nudge of your shoulder against his back as you dragged yourself out of bed and into the kitchen, the brush of your hand against his as he handed you your keys on your way out to work. but after such long days and nights spent apart from one another, he wanted nothing more than to be close with you.

he would hold your hand as he kissed away the distance of the past days, a kind of gentle reminder that yesterday’s distance isn’t a dream for tomorrow. the way he holds you, your hand, carries promises and wishes and nothing but love, overwhelming and unending.

and when you both would just lay in bed, muttering jokes and exchanging hushed giggles to each other, he would again reach out to you, to hold your hand in his as he leaned over you, his elbow sinking into the mattress. I think he loves moments like these, where he can just listen to you, be with, and hold your hand, placing kiss your knuckles, tucking away secrets of his love between each. after kissing secrets and loves onto your hand, he would just hold your hand over his heart, hoping you could feel it beating too. and while you ponder the cracks in time, he would keep your hand close to his heart, rubbing circles and infinities onto your skin, and watch you in admiration and with a love he swears he’s never felt so wildly before
