mb that i've been gone but ive seen a lot of fics being tagged male reader when they're not?? like i get slapped in the face with 'mommy' or female pronouns. its really annoying, especially as a trans man with dysphoria, please tag correctly 🙏
anyway, you guys can start sending asks again no more hiatus

It would be so awesome if more people tagged their fics as sub reader. It's such an easy thing to do and helps people to look for/avoid it easier depending on their tastes.
Dom reader writers do this really well though.

One of the most annoying things in fandoms is people who dont tag properly on here
Like i have a tubbo pfp so im gonna use qsmp/dsmp as an examplw
If i make a post saying, "Foolish is my favorite qsmp streamer," i'd tag foolish sure,
but some people would tag quackity, willbur, fit, bbh wtf do they have to do with the post?
Or if i make a post saying "tubbo is my favourite dsmp streamer", i'd tag Tubbo
But others would tag gnf, sapnap, tommy, Eret
But like wtf do any of them have to do with the post?
A good rule of thumb is this, read your post, look at your tags, for every tag you should be able to point to a section of the post where you mention it

going back through and tagging all of my tac characters by names... I see some improvement over time... I'm up to feb 2022 with character tags... still need to go from feb 2022 to present.
Tumblr media
I will get it all properly tagged eventually... I'm still a disorganized mess, much like IRL... but at least you can look by name and see if you missed anything.
I can't promise I got absolutely all of them. They start running together after about an hour of it... but I'm working on it.

Honestly, the most frustrating thing about Tumblr is how poorly people use the tags.
I was looking for my favorite asoiaf character: jon snow, and there is almost nothing of him, in his own tags. or he is mentioned as a viewer in an example, or as an underdeveloped romantic interest in a ship, or they throw hate at him to elevate another favorite... please respect and tag correctly

hey btw if any of you ai art freaks have any respect for humans you should probably tag that shit as unreality because of how genuinely disturbing they get and how horrible they can be for someone with psychotic symptoms. the point of this post isnt to hate on ai art (despite the fact i hate ai art and its stealing but i digress), its to save my fellow psychotic people from episodes of derealization and depersonalization and hallucinations and delusions because you fuckers cant fucking tag an image that will genuinely make me want to melt into a mental puddle. tag your fucking shit correctly. and dont come at me with that "well if you dont like it dont search for it" type bullshit im literally fucking asking you to tag it correctly so i DONT FIND IT WHEN I SEARCH FOR NORMAL THINGS btw? not tagging your shit correctly is ableist! anyways i got a little heated im pissed off about that have a wonderful day and tag your shit correctly

im getting tired of people acting like someone using anti tags are dramatic or chronically online, i mean some people may be but not all of them
if you want to talk shit about something use: the anti tags
if you want to talk about how much you love a thing: use the pro tags or the normal fandom tags
that way people can filter out what they do or dont like
do not post things you like in the anti tags and do not post things you hate in the pro tags
if you want to talk shit about people who use anti tags: DONT USE THE ANTI TAGS
if you are going to complain about people tagging incorrectly AND THEN DONT TAG CORRECTLY IM GOING TO EAT YOUR KNEES
also if you like something but then keep going in the anti of that thing please stop and just block the tag dont try and debate people who use the tag you're not going to change their mind there's a reason why they're posting in that tag
btw if you see a random anti post out in the wild that isnt tagged properly you have full right to get upset, im just asking for yall to not just go in the anti-tags to complain use the General tags or the pro-tags instead
(sorry if this comes off as rude or harsh im just annoyed with how often this happens)

TW: nsfw talk
dear nsfw writers of tumblr…. PLEASE TAG YOUR STUFF CORRECTLY!!!
I have no problem with nsfw writers and I think they’re super duper cool, but I am constantly coming across the most vile things on my tumble feed.
I have filtered tags, I can only view things set for everyone, and anything mature is set to be filtered out. But still, because a lot of writers put it as “everyone” ((even if it’s a graphic, sexual, and explicit fic))
I often stumble upon it while small and see my favorite characters being written this way while I’m small feels horrible.
I understand that I’m on the internet and it is bound to happen, but I’m sure this is happening to others.
All I’m asking for is a little consideration. xoxo, Strawbaby.
if anyone has any tips on how I can filter these out or any common tags they use?

Using the internet and social media when you have OCD and intrusive thoughts is so fucking difficult and complicated. I’m constantly avoiding triggers and doing mental compulsions and have to remind myself the internet can be a hard place to monitor and we all sometimes see things we don’t want to or shouldn’t for our own mental health.
So another reminder to tag things as accurately as possible! For all types of content across platforms! Genuinely, a missed tag or unclear tagging of content can completely cause me to have a full on spiral of OCD mess and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone else. There are many reasons to accurately tag and provide clear CW/TW’s, and this is just one of them.

I can't be the only one that gets frustrated when they go through a specific tag and see the very opposite gender you were looking for because people didn't tag their stuff correctly
I would rather not read much at all instead always getting focus I don't want to read because of the wrong gender
If I got through the x male reader tag that's that's I want so please stop tagging things "Female reader" and male reader if you mean female readers!
It is so frustrating and I see that so many times nowadays...

Overwhelmed by the sheer amount of tags filled with people/ideas I do not like/have repulsion towards that I have to block and then block any variant of such (like having to block #proana, #pro ana, #pro-ana, #pro 4n4, etc)
Tumblr media
And some of them are so asinine that I’m like. I shouldn’t have to block that in the first place because why does it even exist. I shouldn’t have to block #rape fantasy because it shouldn’t fucking exist

People (fans, new waves of fans) seems always super concerned all the time of what they think, like if you don't think the purest of the thoughts you'll burn in hell of cancellation and fandom police.
Bruh, I used to think that growing up as a Christian. U sin with your impure thoughts. You sin with your gaze and there is only one way of rightfullness, every deviances from the Written Words are bad and deserve hell and torment.
0/10, would not recommend.
Sure as hell I'm not coming back to that. Your thoughts are not impure, what you read won't corrupt you, fiction is fiction.
I'm responsible of my actions and actions only in the real word and reading a Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, every once in a while, won't make me want to commit the crimes I'm reading of (that would be crazy, I had also read the Bible growing up, do you imagine what would have happen if that was the case? Sure as hell I don't want to flood all humanity either... actually scratch that, maybe just sometimes it's a nice fantasy).
I won't policity my way of thinking, nor what I'm consuming (if it's in my boundaries, obv).
Fandoms are fun. Write, think, explore what you want (with the right cautious, be careful of YOUR limits, do not trigger purposely yourself), it's just fantasy.
Reading something and finding things repulsive is good, you just found a new boundary for yourself. The action speak of you, not of the writer/piece of media (especially if tagged correctly).
Tag your stuff. Research what you're watching, before watching something you're not comfortable with. YOU curate your own experience. Other than that, have fun, babe, just have fun. Whatever you read or watched didn't make you less worthy of be a good person or being happy.
Of course I'm talking only for fiction. (I thought it would be clear at this point, but then I thought about the critical thinking and written comprehension of some of the people on the internet and you know what? I will spell it out so it's impossible to miss the point.)
Once again I'm begging you, critical thinking is free.

having Ladynoir fanart as the preview header for the #ladynoir tag is of course right and proper, but there is no Ladrien in that post and for that reason the artist obviously did not tag it #ladrien
so why is the exact same Ladynoir fanart also the preview header for the #ladrien tag?
