muses being able (or forced) to see/watch each other is a great way to start or set up interactions. these are a set of visible prompts that might work as premises for starters. feel free to specify which muse is watching and which muse is experiencing the prompt!

What I like about Rockman.exe is that. they push the notion that Netto is the wild card between the two so much, right, like he's the classic loud, reckless kid who jumps out of windows and runs into radiation on purpose. so, next to the sweet and mild-mannered Rockman, he's gotta be the crazy one of the two, right?

Except at every turn, Rockman proves time and again to be WAY more susceptible to unhinged behavior than Netto could ever be

And to his credit, the stuff with Dark Rockman and the Cybeast forms were caused by external factors, even if it still adds to a narrative pattern that I'm very invested in. But the part in the manga where he tears a navi apart with his bare hands was 100% pure Rockman rage, and Netto has to be the one to tell him not to give in to it while he's strangling his evil double in the background

The best way I can think to explain it is that Netto is a consistent level of insane across the board regardless of the situation, while Rockman switches rapidly between the extremes of being Actually Normal and needing to be physically restrained to stop his bloodlust. And truly, who else is doing it like them

Hostage / Kidnapping Whump - Part Two (Part One)

Whumpee closed his eyes as his name echoed down the adjacent hallway, muffled through the metal door as rapid footsteps grew louder.

The sniper flexed his fingers, tightening his fists as his eyes snapped back open with the door.

"Whumpee? Whum-" Leader stilled, pistol trained in front of him.

No shot sounded.

Whumpee clenched his jaw as the cold metal barrel dug deeper into his temple. "Shoot him," he gritted out.

"Leader," Whumper started, gloved fingers snaking around the side of Whumpee's neck as he spoke. "Put down your weapon."

Whumpee went rigid, gaze wandering over to his rifle, still out of reach. It was tempting, impossible, but tempting.

He forced his expression to remain neutral, the hand on his neck tightening.

"No one has to die," the mercenary went on. "Just put it down."

Leader's gaze faltered, meeting his teammate's, the other glaring up at him from his spot on the ground.

"What the hell?" Whumpee choked out, the pressure in his head building before the merc's grip loosened. "Just shoot him sarge!" he snapped.

"I-"

The shrill of Whumper's warning shot to the ceiling earned a wince from his captive as Leader hesitated a moment longer.

"No. Don't you fuckin' dare-" Whumpee's protest was cut short by the soft clink of Leader's gun touching the floor.

Whumpee's eyes widened as four figures poured in from the side doors behind his sergeant, weapons in hand.

He made the lunge for his rifle at the exact moment something pricked his neck. Whumpee hit the ground face first, muscles spasming before the darkness blotted his vision.
