I love that Keyleth is finally experiencing the other side of “group of quirky adventurers cornering the wise powerful NPC and taking the chance to ask them about all the random unrelated shit they been wondering about“
Keyleth IS the new Allura

you know—usually i just post my fics on here and go about my business, then come back to interact with everyone who supports my fics in the comments. but lately, i have been getting a little discouraged. i post to share my stories and share an interest i have with fictional characters. for the most part, my stories are self-indulgent. however, i(and any other creator) would be lying if they said they don’t get discouraged by the lack of notes they get. this is is a new blog so i guess that can play a part, but still i tag my stories and it collects dust.
*this doesn’t go for the active readers i have and my twitter mutuals. just know i genuinely appreciate you all and you’re the ONLY reason why i still continue to post. i have the will to finish my stories because of y’all.*
however, since i am a smaller account, i often come across other fics (usually non-black reader) that would have verbiage, dialogue, stories, etc. that are too similar to mine to be a coincidence. some even borderline copying. but i don’t bother to post the side by side comparisons because i know i will be gaslit and i am not going to waste my time going back and forth with people about it. i take my time to provide quality content and put a lot of effort into my characters and stories, so for it to be taken without credit is just so disheartening.
yes, i write DESCRIPTIVE black reader fics. yes, i write chaptered fics. yes, all my fics have plot before smut. yes, i write in first POV. yes, i actually take the time to study a character’s canon personality to adapt it to my own headcanon of them to properly flesh out their character. these are all the things that makes me an unique author and differentiate from others, which ultimately should be the same for everyone. yes, it’s okay to feed off each other, but if someone gave you inspo, just credit them. it’s simple.
and this is why we also encourage readers to interact by liking, commenting, snd reblogging. you don’t understand how motivating it is to see a full analysis on how much you enjoy our work. so again, wanted to say thank you to everyone who always interact with me. your comments truly make me happy. ᡣ𐭩

I woke up thinking about selkies, and am now rotating Selkie batfam. And things like even when communication between them is at its worst they still trust each other to leave their skins with each other. And them learning to trust their friends and people outside the family to start doing the same with them too y'know.
Also just rotating big seal Bruce with his lil loaf children curled up with him both at home and in a room on the Watchtower. And also rotating what types of seals each of them appear like.

Tom Hiddleston once suggested Sif's actress Jaime Alexander could have played Loki instead of him.
Do you think your feelings about Thor 1 and 2 would change in any way if Loki were cast as a woman? (if the plot stays exactly the same or minor differences)
I feel like it absolutely would change my thoughts about Thor 1 and 2 but hear me out because the gender change in the context of what I understand of Asgardian society would mean Loki starts out as a younger sister thanklessly expected to mediate Thor’s violent tendencies and by the end of the movie she’s turned into what is basically Hela

Is Mals Bike still on the isle?
I mean, in D2 she puts magic on it so she can enter the isle but she leaves with the others.
Someone probably stole it already and doesn't know they were able to leave the hole time.
Same goes with the Bikes in D3. Harry tells Jay, the crashed them, not knowing they could leave with them. (In my story, not every bike crashes but they forget about the magic in a hurry)
So, this has potential for a fanfic too! Some poor VK finds Mals Bike (or maybe repairs their own with parts of the D3 bikes) and eventually finds out, they can leave the isle.

i dont think im done talking abt this, actually. i'm going to try and explain how stupid this whole thing is because there's always SOMEONE going on about how if it wasn't for the circles, and the parallels of the circles to real-life atrocities, "the mage-templar debate" would be a two-sided issue.
actually, it's not.
the "mage-templar debate" is not an issue of ethics even before addressing the conditions of the circle, because you have other options.
the basic premise of the argument is "mages are inherently a danger to themselves and everyone around them. is locking them up to reduce the harm they pose to the general population the correct ethical decision?" but the entire concept is already bullshit even before you address the conditions of the circle, which is where most people claim the civil rights movement comparisons come from.
because. CANONICALLY. you have other options. you have options within the context of the games to reduce the "threat" or "danger" of magic. there's no cases of mass abominations in rivain. there's no cases of mass abominations (as we know understand & abominations anyway) amongst the avvar. there's no cases of mass abominations in tevinter. from the get-go the idea that "mages have to be locked up for their and everyone's safety" is already bullshit, before you even touch the issue of the circles. even before you get to the conditions of the circle, the very existence of mages in rivain and nevarra and the avvar and tevinter already renders the argument null and void.
from it's very inception, the entire premise -- mages are inherently a danger to themselves and everyone around them -- is proven to be a belief, not a fact.

We've now gone from people harassing Halle Bailey because she played Ariel and people decided all mermaids have to be white for some reason, to people harassing Avantika Vandanapu over a FANCAST of her as Rapunzel in a potential live action Tangled that hasn't even been confirmed!
People seriously cannot fucking imagine anyone but white actors playing any role at this point, even trying to cite Rapunzel's fairy tale setting as an excuse (aka similar to Little Mermaid racists), because apparently Indian people can't exist in countries like Germany according to these people.

read the invocations by krystal sutherland as an arc i got from work and god i love when magic is just truly weird and terrifying and gross and has an awful cost. there are genuinely inhuman and frightening demons that latch on your soul like a parasite and slowly drain it in exchange for magic! demonic bargains gone wrong that rot a person from the inside out and decay the world around them! an orchard where the trees grow rotten fruit and ground weeps blood because unavenged murder victims are buried there! the terrifying sense that the characters are tampering with forces beyond their control or understanding!
