Blazes and Bonds Masterlist:

As the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51 forge headfirst into danger, the choices they make can mean the difference between life and death. But from the relentless pressure of saving lives, an extended family is forged.

Based around my original character Dani and her relationships within this universe. You don't have to read them in order and there will be time skips between each one. I've been super into the Chicago universe, specifically Fire and Med so here this is haha.

Interstellar, Ch 16: Everglow

"I think it’ll be safer to set up one of our holding cells for the test. We minimize the risk to Mundanes, and if anything goes wrong that has us opening up a demon portal or something it’ll be in a controlled area flanked by plenty of Shadowhunters to deal with it.” Izzy snickered. “Guess my brother’s on board after all!” She gave him a playful pat of his shoulder on her way towards the main elevators. “I’ll go get a cell set up for the test. Text you when I’m done?” “Likewise,” he replied with a nod, moving to one of the armament panels lining the Institute’s control room. As he retrieved a bow and fresh quiver of arrows, he grumbled, “Let’s go catch us a Ravener.” “‘Catch’?” Alec’s eyes widened. Alarmed, he swirled around to intersect what he knew would be an at-best awkward situation— —but the other Izzy already had her bracer leveled between his mother’s eyes, lips pursed so tightly they’d nearly turned white. Beside her, Magnus’ arm mirrored hers, though his sported a split hand to expose an embedded blaster humming with swelling energy. An intense, yellow glow consumed his eyes, though it remained clear they focused upon a small, blue dot the other Izzy’s bracer projected upon Maryse’s brow. “Isabelle?” Maryse was murmuring, hands raised and anxious gaze fixated upon the bizarre and unsettling version of Magnus staring her down. “What’s going on?!”

I don't know much about Shattered!Dream, but listening to Starset today, "Unbecoming" had me thinking and plotting a little one shot story for Shattered!Dream and a reader...

You found me drifted out to sea

It's automatic

It's telepathic, you always knew me

And you laugh as I search for a harbor

As you point where your halo had been

But the light in your eyes has been squandered

There's no angel in you in the end

I imagine reader was saved by Shattered when their au was being destroyed. He's kind (rough around the edges) and takes reader in. Reader thinks he's a hero in their book, yeah? Until something happens and reader sees the negative skeleton monster he truly is.

"You point to where your halo had been. But the light in your eyes has been squandered... there's no angel in you in the end."

Reader realizes they're trapped now with Shattered. Just the hopelessness, the regret, the shame reader feels feeds Shattered.

He keeps them.

...

And wouldn't it be something if Nightmare was the one who saves Reader from his brother?

I just wanna write this fic so bad! But, I start, and my brain decides "now isn't the time for stories." 😭

I just wanna write and share my stuff with awesome folks.

What if it was Baggs!Sans instead?! 😲

I would have to rework the plot for Baggs. But, it can still work! 🤔

it is very funny to me seeing people with their most-played song and the song has something like 50-150 plays. i played my most-played song 772 times this year, which is LESS than the 806 times i played last year’s most-played song
