In my Stardew Valley AU (Name for it still pending, I do not want to take/use Stardew Omens since that is associated with a well known fic and mod -- If you have ideas let me know!), Crowley goes through...a lot. Originally out in the valley for a job for Joja Corp., he gets thrown into the farming rural life and the bizarre reality that is Pelican Town and its strange phenomena and residents. However, after a year of working and living there, he adjusts and becomes anew!

"Crowley is trying valiantly to get back to his point after a long detour into something about lobsters, and Aziraphale is doing his best to follow along, but he keeps losing the thread of the conversation thanks to all of Crowley's— all his distracting things, like the way his mouth moves and the way his hands move and the way he's right there under the shared blanket (look, it was the sensible option, keeps them both warmer) so close Aziraphale can feel the heat of him even though they aren't touching. And the way he keeps sneaking looks at Aziraphale when he thinks Aziraphale isn't looking, and the way Aziraphale keeps catching him at it, and the way neither of them quite look away fast enough each time.

And oh it's so— they're curled up here in this private little space, warm under the blanket, relaxed with just enough wine, leaning towards each other, and the candlelight is soft and flattering, and the wind outside is oddly comforting, and they're cut off from the world in their own little bubble and Aziraphale would stop time right here and now, if he could, make this moment last forever with its sweet anticipation and the soft ache of uncertainty that stops him just reaching out and finally closing the small distance between them."

There are so many wonderful books, movies, fanfics, etc., that idk how I would choose between them. But to actually *live in*? This is a bit of a longshot, but - will you be updating Stardew Omens for Stardew Valley 1.5? (and if not 👀 may i take a stab at it?)

Realistically? No I will not be updating; I just haven’t had the time and energy to open it back up this year. (So much happening IRL! All good things! But very time consuming lmao)

You are MORE than welcome to update the mod if you want to! If you upload a separate updated version, that’s totally fine with me! Just credit the original mod and send me a link so I can update my posts for folks. If for some reason Nexus is weird about posting a “copy” of my mod or something, just lemme know and we’ll figure out a way to post it elsewhere or whatever.

Well, if yall recall, earlier this week I rambled about a Stardew Valley Good Omens AU. I have not talked about it much here, but that does not mean I haven't been doing this with it!

Ta da!! A fanfiction my partner and I are writing!!

I am releasing this chapter-by-chapter as we get stuff for it done -- I thought it would be more fun that way! (Especially if we stay consistent and form a full story haha, maybe....) At some point I will post doodles and other art things for this au. Stay tuned!!

I am very excited to announce that I've received permission from @thunderheadfred to update and maintain the ineffable Stardew Omens mod!

This includes:

Cleaning up code and streamlining everything

Creating an i18n file so that easy translations to other languages are possible

Creating new sprites and portraits

Aziraphale will be able to visit the Ginger Island Resort!

Aziraphale will have customized concession and movie tastes for dates to the Movie Theatre

New dialogue for 1.4 and 1.5

Updated events for 1.4 and 1.5

New dialogue based on game states; for example, Aziraphale has some... rather choice words for Farmer Crowley if he chooses to go the Joja Route

A customized spouse room and patio, which can be enabled or disabled

Compatibility patches for some other mods, such as Miss Coriel's Unique Courtship Response and NPC Adventures

AND:

a special Fashion Sense pack for Farmer Crowley, including the custom hairs and clothing from the original mod!

Currently I am still in the development stages, getting everything organized, etc. etc. but sometime in the future I will be needing some beta testers to do an in-game run-through.

Come join me over in me Stardew Mod server (LINK IN THE REBLOGS) and see WIPs of sprites/portraits/dialogue ideas/etc. and be kept apprised on the status of the Stardew Omens update.
