From a Legends (Legend’s) Point of View 2024
Background
From a Legends Point of View (or From a Legend’s Point of View, see what we did there?) is a Star Wars fandom fic event dedicated to celebrating the characters and stories of the Star Wars Legends continuity during and around the time of the Original Trilogy (OT).
Building from the talents of the many writers in the Star Wars fandom, we hope to develop and share a diverse collection of approximately 40 stories of pilots, smugglers, spies, scoundrels, and other characters from the original Star Wars Extended Universe in mid-September 2024.
How It Works
At signup, writers will each pitch at least three (up to five) different ideas for a fic of 5k-10k words to write for the collection. The pitches should focus on Legends characters or situations during the Original Trilogy and must fit the other story and pitch guidelines listed below.
Mods will review signups and assign one pitch from each writer to be written for the collection, with a goal of creating a collection with stories covering a variety of OT-era time periods, characters, and events.
Writers will submit their fics to a collection on Archive of Our Own (AO3), which will then be shared with the fandom.

Story and Pitch Guidelines
All stories should be set during or within six months of the events depicted in the Star Wars Original Trilogy films (0 BBY - 4ABY), and set within the main Star Wars galaxy (aka the Galaxy Far Far Away/GFFA).
Stories should focus on characters and/or events in the Star Wars Legends continuity, which can include any characters who appear in the three Original Trilogy films as well as characters from the Legends novels, comics, video games, or other materials.
Shipping guidelines: Stories should not be focused on romance or shipping and should not include smut. References to ships among characters in the story or among other characters are fine, but please limit these to mentions (for ships that do not include the point of view character) or subtext (for ships that do include the point of view character). Within these restrictions, any ships are allowed, regardless of whether they are considered canon in the Legends continuity.
Ratings and archive warnings: Any ratings or tags are allowed, as long as stories are appropriately tagged and follow the other story guidelines (e.g., no smut).
Each writer will submit at least three and up to five pitches for stories they would be willing to write for the collection. Across all the pitches, stories should feature a minimum of at least three different characters and a minimum of at least two different time periods during the OT. To ensure that we include a wide range of characters and stories in the collection, at least two pitches should feature a point of view character who is not one of the Original Trilogy main trio (Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo), and at least one pitch should feature a point of view character who is not another prominent OT character (Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, R2D2, C3PO, Darth Vader), nor a member of the Rogue Squadron “Fab Four” (Wedge Antilles, Wes Janson, Tycho Celchu, Hobbie Klivian).
Stories for this collection are intended to add to the universe of fic we have for Legends; please do not submit pitches for stories you have already written and shared elsewhere, even if they fit the other guidelines.
Signup and Submission Details
Signups are now live! Use this Signup Form to share each of your pitches and provide contact information, including your Archive Of Our Own (AO3) username. Step-by-step Signup Guidelines are available here.
Once all signups have been reviewed, one of the mods will contact you via the information provided to let you know which one of your story pitches has been accepted (your assignment), and will provide instructions on how to submit your assignment to the collection.
We will also provide a signup form for people who would be willing to serve as a beta reader or cheerleader for other writers. Writers can request a beta reader when they sign up, or at any time before the beta request deadline (approximately two weeks before assignments are due). Betas may be available on a more limited basis after that deadline, but cannot be guaranteed.
Mods will check in with all writers twice over the course of the writing portion of the event to see how they are doing and connect them with a beta reader, cheerleader, or other assistance as needed. Please be sure to check your messages regularly and respond promptly to messages from the mods.
If you realize you will be unable to complete your assignment in time, please let the mods know as soon as possible, but definitely prior to the August 11 dropout deadline. That will enable us to reach out to find potential pinch hitters as needed.
Assignments are due Sunday, September 8 at any time. You will submit your fic via AO3, mods will confirm that it follows story and tagging guidelines, and it will be approved for the collection. The collection will be open for submissions a few weeks ahead of the deadline if you wish to submit early.
Because we intend to reveal these stories as a collection, please hold off on sharing or promoting your story until the full collection is released on September 15. After that time, please promote your story and others in the collection as much as possible!

There are two themes for each day. The first identifies a type of work to comment on, and the second identifies a type of comment to make. The themes are completely independent of each other. Rules
Any type of content focusing on appreciating Finn is encouraged, fics, fanart, gifs, videos, meta, etc.
Gen, any shipping, nsfw, etc are all allowed, but please tag appropriately on Tumblr (eg. nsfw, gore) and ensure any 18+ content or fics over 500 words are under a cut. If you’re linking to a fic on an external site like AO3 with its own tagging system, then a cut is not necessary.
There’s no minimum word count/level of polish, or minimum number of days. Post for one day, post for all seven days! It’s up to you. Sketches, drafts, or other pieces you might decide to work on more later are also fine.
Late posts (not during the week or on the associated theme day) are also very ok.

Mustache Cody Prompt Bingo!
Hello all! Sorry for the incoming wall of text, but here you can find all the important info pertaining to this prompt bingo event. We ask you to please have a read-through of this post before you submit a request for your Bingo card! It may be helpful if you have any general questions too. :)
What is a Prompt Bingo?
A prompt bingo is where themed prompts are handed out in the form of a bingo card. In the case of our bingo, each card consists of 24 random prompts from our list, +1 free space in the middle, and you can fill them out at your own leisure/pace with the loose goal of completing one full column/row, aka a Bingo, or all the cards on your square, which would be a blackout!

What is Mustache Cody?
We are glad you asked.
Mustache Cody is the silly name we have come to refer to this modern Codywan AU we have created. The joke stemmed from this post here, and spiralled out of control. In this au, Cody has a mustache, and Obi-Wan does not. And they both sometimes have mullets. Cody is a shorts and socks and sandals-wearing math teacher, Obi-Wan is a very well-dressed gym teacher, and they both teach at the same high school. Other vague ideas we had is Cody and Obi both enjoy rollerblading, Quinlan is a substitute physics teacher, Yoda likes to steal people's tea in the teacher's lounge, etc…. This AU is very much Codywan, and can be quite chaotic.
If you are interested in seeing existing fan works for the AU, check out the Tumblr blogs of the admins @sunflowersinheaven and @journen(really, we have drawn a lot for it, lol), consult this master post we have created for all the content(because others have made some AMAZING content for this au as well!), or join the Mustache Cody Discord server to find all that in one location and discuss more ideas further, or just hang out!
Why are we doing this?
Because we thought it would be fun! 😏
Posting
The window to post your works for this event opens on October 31st! We ask you to wait until then to start posting any of your completed fills. And of course, even after October 31st, you can request a card! There are no time limits to request a card or complete your fills, but likely in late December we will be closing the form and, if all goes well, resuming with a somewhat new list of prompts at some point in the new year!
And be sure to tag us in your completed fills, which we will be reblogging! And also hashtag it #mustachecodybingo. We also have an AO3 collection where you can submit them as well. As well, be sure to include a picture of your Bingo card with the appropriate square crossed off with every completed fill(easy to do in your phone's image editor or in any drawing software!).
We are so excited to see your submissions!!
Rules
For each of your fills, Cody has to have a mustache. Or if not, the fact that he is mustache-less must be relevant somehow in how you interpret your prompt. Ie...Cody has shaved, and Obi-Wan is horrified. But we encourage you to ‘stache your Cody!
You do NOT have to stick to all of our ideas for this au exactly. Interpret the prompts however you like, no restrictions or limitations on creativity. You can bend things here and there if you have a good idea, and it suits your story. We aren't strict or picky. We just want you to have fun! We do just ask you to stick to the rough themes/guidelines of our modern high school teachers codywan au.
You have the option of swapping out any prompt with any other prompt on your sheet one time per card, and you can interpret the free space with anything you think of(however, as the first day of the Bingo is October 31st, we gently encourage you to consider Halloween as your free space prompt if you so desire!).
You can choose whether you'd like your card to have the possibility of including some NSFW prompts(though we only have a few to include in the randomized pool). But, this does not mean you cannot interpret any of the other prompts as NSFW!
One fic or piece of artwork can fill multiple prompts at once!
After achieving a bingo, or even a blackout, you can request a second bingo card if you like. We do encourage you to try to complete a bingo on your card before requesting a second one, but will make exceptions!! (And if you are requesting a second bingo card, let us know in the google form. We will make sure you get an entirely new set of prompts.) However, no pressure to even get a bingo, have fun filling out any of the prompts on your card!
Writing fills have no length limits, and artist fills can be as simple as a rough sketch. We don’t want to limit people from participating and want this to be a very lax and leisurely fun event, so don’t so much worry about the quality of your fills so much as that you have fun with it!

If you would like to be sent a Bingo card, please click the link here to fill out the short form with some of your info, and we will send you an email with your own personal card!
Please give us a buffer of a few hours to two days to email you your card. Both admins are full-time students so our lives are busy. And, if for whatever reason after 3 days you do not receive your card, please DM us and we will get it to you promptly!

“Do I have to create for all thirty days?”

“Can I post a creation after the day has already passed?”
- Yes! You’re welcome to post for a prompt day even after the date, just be sure to tag with which day and prompt you’ve created for! You will only be eligibile for the shoutout post if you complete all 30 days within the month of April.
“What if I don’t understand/like a prompt?”
- We have a list of 10 alt prompts for you to choose from if you don’t like the main 30. Feel free to use our alternate prompts for any day, and if there’s any confusion send us an ask!

This blog is dedicated to promoting, sharing, and archiving fan-made works created for February 2nd, 2024, a.k.a. Cody Day, as the date matches his designation number: CC - 2224.
Basic Information and Rules:
How are posts shared?
In order for posts to be reblogged here, make sure to use any of these tags: Cody Day, Cody Day 2224, Coday.
Alternatively, creators can directly tag this account @codyday2224 to ensure that their post isn't missed.
Submissions will be accepted.
What kind of posts are allowed?
Any and all types of fanwork made for Cody Day will be reblogged. Fanart, fanfiction, gif sets, videos, etc. So long as the post has Cody as the main focus.
Writers who post on AO3 can also share their fanfiction in this collection created by @yellowisharo
Is there a deadline?
Real life can often take priority, which is completely understandable. Despite the date of this event, creators can tag and submit posts up to a week after, February 9, 2024. Afterwards, no more posts will be reblogged and this account will remain as an archive for Cody Day.
Are there any themes or prompts?
No. Cody Day is a free-for-all unmoderated event where anyone can create whatever they wish.

Posts with mature or explicit themes must be tagged appropriately.
Work that contains content that may make others uncomfortable will be tagged (example: blood, death, trypophobia, etc).
Explicit and suggestive work will be tagged "nsfw".
It is everyone's responsibility to ensure they have blocked key words and tags so that they do not scroll across triggering content.
Are ships allowed?
Yes. So long as the post is Cody centric. All ships will be tagged depending on who is paired together.
Are clone x clone ships allowed?
Yes. All posts with clone x clone ships will be tagged as "clone shipping".
Rules of Conduct:
This blog is intended to be a safe space for everyone who wants to celebrate Commander Cody. As such, hate and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Please be respectful of each other. This event is meant to be a fun time for fans to join in.
