Firefight Peter Parker, Spideychelle AU 🥰 🚒

This image just popped into my head one day and I had to draw it. Then I started really thinking about it and I just have so many thoughts and feelings about this AU. I know I'll never write it. But I did jot down some headcanon points to add to this post.

Peter practically grew up in the firehouse where his Uncle Ben worked. He visited the station with his Aunt May all the time. Sometimes, when his uncle had a shift during the holidays, they would spend part of it there with him and the rest of his company. It made it feel like they were all one big family. It didn’t take long for Peter to decide he wanted to grow up to be a firefighter too. As he grew older, that desire never changed. Even after his uncle died amidst the flames of a particularly destructive fire.

As soon as Peter graduated high school, he entered the Fire Academy and graduated top of his class. He was put right to work as a probationary firefighter at a station right in the middle of Queens.

Peter is the youngest firefighter on staff. The crew gives him a hard time about it. They call him the rookie and the baby of the group while trying to pinch his cheeks. He accepts their teasing because he knows they mean well. It helps that they also know how serious he is about the job. He’s always the first one there for training and practice. He’s never late for his shifts, and he stays on top of his necessary certifications. Every so often, the crew ribs him about that too.

Ideally, this AU would also have Steve Rogers as the captain and Bruce as a firefighter/paramedic. 

When Peter’s not at the station, he lives with his girlfriend, MJ. They are very much in love, and It’s not unusual for her to come to visit during his two-day shifts. For no other reason than she misses him.

Peter lights up the moment she arrives. His serious exterior drops to something much softer as he pulls her into a tight embrace. Even after they separate, their hands continue to touch. Sometimes they sit outside and chat while she’s there. Other times, they playfully bicker until Peter scoops her up and hurls her over his shoulder. He’ll hold her there in a standard fireman’s carry, telling her he won’t set her down until she agrees with him. They both laugh and laugh until MJ falls limp and admits defeat. Once she’s back on the ground, they go back to holding hands.

There are comments in the background, the crew shouting at them to ‘get a room.’ Tony, the well-practiced driver, and engineer, that Peter's come to see as something of a mentor, is generally the one who initiates it. Peter will send him a menacing look in retaliation. But it never puts a stop to the gleeful teasing. He’s okay with it, though. Tony reminds him a lot of his Uncle Ben.

If the alarm goes off while MJ's there, Peter will reluctantly let go of her. He’ll rush to join his department brothers and sisters as they collectively prepared to perform their jobs. Often, MJ will call after him saying, ‘stay safe’ and ‘be careful’ as he goes. He’ll pause momentarily to look over his shoulder and tell her he’s always careful and will always do his best to come home to her. She nods her head and steps back to watch the hustling. Peter knows she understands how important his job is, and he’s thankful she’s so supportive. He loves and respects her but he really couldn’t imagine himself doing anything else with his life.

Because in every reality, Peter Parker just wants to help people.

For some extra spice, Peter could respond to a fire at Oscorp, where he gets bitten by a radioactive spider.

Looking back to the scene in NWH where Peter was about to say "I love you" back but MJ cut him off by saying that he should wait and say it once he saw her again, I'm going to give my take on the far future once they got together again.

Peter always tells her how much he loves her.

It is the promise he made to himself that once he got her back, he would always let her know about those three little words yet carries the biggest meaning to him.

Whether it's ending a phone call or heading separate ways, Peter ends it with I love you. He knows it sounds a bit cliche—but who can blame him? After all, he spent years longing to be with the girl he had loved forever.

MJ thinks it's cute. His loving messages never fail to flutter her heart. She would receive shoulder kisses while being tucked in his arms, basking in silence until his lips near her earlobe and whisper the words "I love you".

She just smiles rather than giving him a reply, knowing he had told her several times she doesn't need to say it back, and snuggles her head on his pectoral, intertwining their fingers together as her thumb draws tiny circles on his skin—wondering where could this man have been in her life.

One night, they are laying together on his bed, bodies pressed and legs tangled together. MJ has her head resting on his chest with Peter's arm underneath her waist. Neither of them has fallen asleep yet.

She decides to pop a question.

"Why do you always tell me I love you, but you won't even let me say it back?"

Peter tucks a curl behind her ear and places his right arm below his head, the corners of his lips stretching into a small smile. Of course, the true reason why he does is that he wants to make up for the times he was supposed to be by her side.

"It's not that I don't want to hear you say it back, MJ, it's just that. . . " You don't know how much I've been dreaming of being with you again throughout these past few years. Instead, he shakes his head. "I haven't got the right words to describe it, sorry."

"I understand. The reason must mean very special to you that you couldn't put it into words." She lifts her head to meet his eyes, a soft smile on her face, and gently plants a kiss on his lips. "I love you, Peter."

Peter's smile grows, however, he doesn't give her a response. He shifts his body where he's completely looking at her and watches as the beautiful brunette drifts into slumber.

One day, he'll tell her the real story.

MJ will know that there is more about their relationship than she ever can ever imagine.

Here's a little something about Michelle Jones

Michelle Jones would be the kind of person, who while watching a movie would point out all of the plot holes in it.

While watching a movie together Peter would ask her why she likes to do that, to which she would say that it makes her feel smart. Not book-smart. Everyone knows that already. She feels more logical-thinking/creative-wise smart. As if the movie was trying to push bullcrap her way, and Michelle wouldn't have any of it.

Kind of like all of the street surveys with stupid questions people pretend to know the answers to. Like the "How often should you change the liquid in your turn signals?" type.

She already tries her best to separate idiotic agendas and factual information from each other, and question as much as she can of the world around her.

Finding plot holes requires a similar process, and Michelle finds comfort in completing it successfully.

I desperately want a moment where Peter teaches MJ and Ned self defense and some combat because “you never know”

I wanna see MJ and Ned become super badass practicing with Peter on the roof of a building. They get the hang of it and can kick some ass if they need to. But also i imagine the lessons probably start out so chaotic because I expect nothing else from FOS.

I’m talking MJ decking Peter in the face without hesitation because he said “I want you to punch me-“ and didn’t let him finish his sentence. Ned being worried about putting his whole strength in a move because “wait but what if I hurt you” “Thats the point man” Peter forgetting what’s realistic for regular people so he demonstrates a ridiculous move he wants to teach them and mjs like “Unfriendly reminder we are not spiderman” Show me a montage of MJ and Ned doing some gym class level exercises to start off and loudly complaining the entire time. When they do a plank theyre so dramatic and start yelling through it

If you’re listening you baseball cap wearing clown, I need you to hear me very clearly:

Get rid of the Jones name. I don’t care if that’s what you established in NWH, you’ve never cared about continuity why start now. I don’t care if fandom is attached to the name they’ve created, if I don’t give a shit and I’ve written damn near 3% of the ENTIRE TAG than no one should. I don’t care if people “like Jones” “think Mary Jane is old fashioned” “prefer Michelle”, if any of them have a Tom or Zendaya pfp, they’re not to be trusted anyway.

Fresh start, new trilogy, give the MJ we know and love the Dignity and Respect of the Name Mary Jane Watson. Give me a scene that explicitly states the new status quo. Extra kudos if she’s an actress.

T: Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

Doesn’t everyone? 😂 to name a few:

—Sam, Aisha, Demetri, and Eli were all childhood friends (the “Nerd Quartet”)

—Barry loves comics because of his mom, and that’s part of his motivation to be a superhero (comics canon! Headcanon in DCTV/Arrowverse)

—Ned’s the first one to figure Peter out, when they do their special handshake

—When they were supposed to be asleep, Iris used to sneak into Barry’s room, and they turned his bed into a mini pillow-fort 😂

—Barry’s Flashpoint adventure ~did~ change Caitlin’s past and give her powers—I’ll die on this hill, it’s the only way things make some amount of sense (and it’s no more ridiculous than the OTHER Flashpoint changes)

—Thawne was actually lying in s4 when he said he “hated every minute of [being Harrison Wells]”. Because literally wtf was THAT, writers??

—Maiko had two weddings: one for their close friends, and one for the Fire Nation. They were the first of the Gaang to get married…though they didn’t have Izumi until after Kataang got married. They wanted most of the “so, when are you having kids?” bs to die down first

—Lando introduced Luke (and Lucy) to hot chocolate, and Luke and Lucy love it 💞 (Legends canon I believe…tho ofc not Lucy since she’s not canon. In proper canon tho, this is just a headcanon)

—Barry makes the best hot chocolate ever

—Iris can bake better than she cooks…tho she gets easily distracted, hence the burnt/lumpy pancakes sometimes 😅 still, I gotta believe someone brownie-obsessed can make good brownies

—Finn is a legend among his former stormtroopers…as an enemy to some, as an inspiration to others

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head, tho there might be more!

Head cannons for college Peter/ Post NWH because I can’t stop thinking about that movie

• We know that Peter is in the process of taking his GED test. I think we need to backtrack a little bit to fill in some gaps.

• In order to be able to take his GED or SAT/ACT etc. he would have to be an actual existing citizen. Because right now he doesn’t technically exist.

• My theory is that Aunt May kept copies of everything. From school records to his birth certificate,etc. I say this because Peter had to have gotten his stuff from somewhere so obviously May’s things would be there too.

• Now knowing May she knew that some shit would likely go down which is why she kept all the paperwork he would need on a flash drive . She gives a copy to Happy, and puts another flash drive in Peters Lego Death Star set

• Of course peter wouldn’t know but May has been preparing for something like this since she found out her nephew is spider man. If there’s one thing May Parker always made sure of it was that her boy was taken care of

• So one day while playing with said Lego Death star set. He notices a small flash drive attached to the bottom he pops it into his laptop (it’s manages to survive over the years) suddenly he sees May’s face for the first time since her death

• “ I really hope this thing is working, I mean stark made a shit ton of money off of his tech so it should.” “Peter honey if you’re seeing this it means that I’m not with you and you’ve had to leave. I want you to know that no matter what happens I will always be proud of you and I know that you will do great things because no one has a heart as big as yours. On this flash drive you’ll find digital copies of every medical,school,and government record that has your name on it. I know this isn’t that much help but I figured you might need it someday to remember that behind spider man is Peter Parker, and Peter needs to be remembered too. I hope you continue to use your power for good and remember I will always Larb you”

• Peter couldn’t believe what he was seeing, through his tears he heard her say “shit, the lasagna!” As the video cut off.

• He thanked whomever above for giving him his amazing aunt May and got to work the next day re establishing himself as an existing human

• It wasn’t easy by any stretch but eventually with the documents he was able to register for his GED, SAT and ACT. Studying between working his two jobs at Delmar’s and tutoring chemistry.

• He was able to pass all 3 with flying colors and enrolled himself into Queensborough community college. Juggling that along with his two jobs and spider man duties.

• He makes a lot of new acquaintances some who reminded him of the people he loved in his old life. His lab partner Eric reminds him of Ned with his over enthusiasm and rambling.

• The girl who works the front desk at the library reminds him of Michelle in the way that she helps him find what he’s looking for even if he doesn’t ask because she “can’t stand to look at him floundering around like a fish out of water.”

• Eventually he graduates from community college and decides to attend Queens college where he majors in Engineering technology.

•  After he graduates from undergrad he decides to take a bit of a break before starting his Masters program

• The Christmas after graduation he sees Ned,MJ, and Flash?for the first time since his memory was wiped from the earth

• It’s Been 4 1/2 years since he last saw them,and as much as he wants to he doesn’t go up and start a conversation. He knows that he made the right decision back then because both of them look happy and accomplished. They look at peace, a peace that wouldn’t exist if he told them the truth.

•  That was until he started to see them every week in the same diner. He would use the diner to study, the Masters program was a lot more rigorous than he thought.

• Eventually they started to make conversation with him noticing that he was there as much as they were. This sent Peter into a spiral, he had spent so long rebuilding his life without them that being around them was both a great joy,and a great pain.

• After much deliberation he decided that there was no harm in being casual friends with them. He even starts to look forward to their coffee dates every week.

• He learned that Ned landed a job at stark industries. As head of the AI science division

• Michelle was currently working for the largest independent newspaper in all of New York and was head of their queens office.

• Even Flash had grown up and decided to become a teacher. Specifically he was asked to take over Mr. Harrington‘s job at Midtown. Apparently losing one too many kids finally took its toll

• eventually one day after about four months of this casual friendship going on between them, they finally decided to confront Peter.

• “We know you’re not telling us the whole truth about something you know.” Said MJ with a deep stare that penetrated his soul. “Yeah Parker there’s more that meets the eye, we will figure it out you know.” Said flash.

• Ned the great person that he is finally intervenes “What they’re trying to say is that we think you’re pretty cool and we would like to know our new friend better I mean after all I think I speak for all of us when I say being around you gives us major Deja vu”

• Peter doesn’t know how to handle this so after everything he just laughs. He laughs at the absurdity of it all, laughs at how far he’s come since becoming spider man, where he ended up, all of it.

•After a few minutes he finally calms down and says “I get Deja Vu too, I can’t exactly tell you why but I can say that I’m really glad to have you guys in my life. After all the crazy things the world has been through can’t we just appreciate that?”

•The group seems to let it go after that agreeing that given the world they live in. Where they are now is pretty good.

• As everyone leaves the coffee shop, promising to meet the same time next week MJ calls out to him as he’s walking away

• “I’m 67% sure you’re hiding something big Peter, I hope you know I’ll figure it out eventually.”

• Peter laughs as he calls back “I counting on it MJ”

•She did figure it out eventually, and when she did she punched him then she hugged him

I literally could not decide so I let the sims decide for me.

In their 30s Peter and Mj have two daughters, Mae Parker and Ruth Parker.

Mj works as a museum curator collecting new artworks that are heavily based in social commentary.

Peter works at Stark Industries (let me have this okay) as an engineer and does photography for the Daily Bugle on the side.

Mae grows up to be Spider-girl or Mayday, and Ruth is her “guy in the chair”

That Drabble acc made me tear up a bit. The part with the necklace and how it shouldn’t have been her are so sad.

i’m so sorry bestie for the tears :(( like i think about it so much, how the necklace is paralleled to her relationship with peter? how she said she likes it better broken because peter was the epitome of broken on the bridge, bruised and bloody and a real mess tbh. but she likes him anyway and her never taking that necklace off is a symbolism of how she’ll always like him just the way he is.

and then when it breaks all the way, ofc it symbolizes her death and the death of their relationship but also how she knows that the peter who was rage filled and killed the goblin isn’t who he is, not the person she fell in love with :’/ everything’s broken
