new boyfriend rin would never ever, under any circumstance, admit that he likes the pet names you call him. well… unless you would stop doing it. (also me pushing the bffs to lovers pipeline)
Tumblr media
You must be upset with him, Rin is convinced so. It’s the only logical and sensible explanation behind this unusual behavior.
And he's going mad about it. Itoshi Rin is going mad any second now if he can't get to the bottom of this, he’s certainly convinced.
Every instinct screamed that your recent behavior was a reaction to something he'd done, but what? Was it the late replies to your text messages? No, you knew he was at practice and you told him you didn’t mind. Was it about the souvenir he brought back home to you from Paris? Sure, you teased him about its impracticality, but nothing that warranted this icy distance.
Or maybe it was something he said now? It must be, right? Everything boils down to his reckless poor choice of words, he supposes.
Slowly, Rin approached you by the couch you’re seated in. With your attention preoccupied by the selection of shows you’re browsing, you settled on looking at him briefly through your peripheral vision. Amused by how he’s slightly tiptoeing around, you let out a half-suppressed laugh to yourself.
He looks like a cat sometimes, you thought from the sight. And acts like one too. Like a big black cat who would hiss at you if you looked at him funny, or one that would bite your hand if you stopped petting him to sleep. Funny how Rin could be like that too.
The moment Rin settles into the plush comfort of the couch, he gazes at you through lowered lashes, trying to read the play of emotions on your face, if there’s any.
There’s nothing worth noting, and he doesn’t know if that should assure or bother him.
“Are we… alright?” he drawled.
What the fuck. He did not just sound like that.
He did not just ask that and sounded like an anxious pathetic wet cat who just had a new home waiting for its owner’s permission over anything (highly specific because he’s a bit dramatic). Just what kind of loser have you reduced him into, really.
Oblivious of the internal turmoil in Rin’s mind, you turn to him, “Hmm? Yeah? Why’d you ask?”
“Nothing,” he grumbled. It’s enough that he already humiliated himself for the way he asked if the two of you were cool— doing it again by exposing himself that he thinks you’re mad plainly because he hadn’t heard you call him a pet name (like you always do) would be mortification in its final form.
“Okay, Rin.”
That’s it. This needs to end. Forget humiliation. He would rather choose to feel pathetic over any day than continue with this charade.
“Are you mad at me?”
“Why would you think that?” you asked back instantly, shocked and extremely confused because of your boyfriend’s question. You’re literally just looking for a movie the two of you can watch— how is that any indication of being mad at him?
“Just answer the question,” he fumed, impatience settling on the furrow of his brows.
You said in the beginning of your relationship that you didn’t appreciate the silent treatment and guessing games, so don’t you think it’s hypocritical of you to do the same to him? (You’re not, but he just doesn’t know that.)
“I’m not mad at you, Rin.”
“You so are!”
“I am not! But you, yelling and instigating it are making me right now!” you countered, voice hinted with irritation, “What is your problem, Rin?”
There it is again. Rin rose from the couch to face your sitting form, as if standing would better prove his point. “See? You’re calling me Rin!” he blurted.
“Well, maybe because it’s your name?!”
“Not to you, it’s not!”
A beat of surprised silence. Until your lips grew to such a wide smile that made Rin physically feel his heart melting.
Yet, in Rin’s true fashion, he’ll never let you know how much air you knock out of him because of your beaming smile. Instead, he’ll say something along the snarky lines of, “Stop smiling like that.”
“Did my big bad grumpy Rinnie here thought we’re on a fight because I hadn’t call him baby?” you ask, purposely stressing out the words to disarm him more.
With a feigned exasperation, he comments, “I forgot how annoying you are.”
“And I forgot how childish you can get sometimes,” you countered.
“I’m not childish.”
“You don’t mind me calling you Rin then?”
Rin rolled his eyes at you, but you know better than to put meaning to it. He lowered himself onto the couch beside you. With a swift tug, Rin pulled you closer, closing the distance between you effortlessly. His arm found its way around your waist, drawing you snugly against his chest.
“But I don’t see why you need to…” Maybe he could be a bit childish.
“I thought you didn’t like it,” you shyly muttered, drawing shapes in his arm. “The pet names, I mean,” you clarified, sensing the confused look he’s probably giving you behind.
“What the hell are you talking about?” He is baby. He is Rinnie. Fucking hell, that’s so loser of him to even voice it out in his own mind.
“What? You call me by my name!” you defensively pointed out.
“Doesn’t mean I don’t like your nicknames of me,” he mumbled, the words barely audible.
The pet names— they were more than what they served. It was important to him more than what he would admit.
They were a secret language, a way you marked him as yours. A reminder that he wasn't just Rin anymore— just your friend.
He was now something more, something special.
A ghost of a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “Besides… I love your name,” he whispered, his voice velvet against your hair.
It’s tender— no, it makes him tender. Saying your name has been the softest, kindest, and most tender way he’s used his words for.
Maybe it’s a little pathetic, feeling this undone by a name. But then it’s you.
It was your name— a name he could whisper with adoration, a name that belonged only to him to claim.
You melt to his words, leaning deeper into his chest. A contented sigh escaped your lips, the sound swallowed by the warmth of his embrace.
Looking up at him, your eyes held a softness he often found himself getting lost in, “I love your name too, but I also like calling you pet names. Is it okay?”
“Whatever you decide.” He’s yours, either way.
Tumblr media
note. this is basically rin being "my nameeee is whatever you decideeeee and i'm just gonna call you mineeee i'm insane but i'm your baby!!!!" yeah that song basically.

Yandere! Bad Guy x Reader
I am currently in my Natural Born Killers nostalgia, and so I'm borrowing its vibes and bringing you this: a bad-to-the-bone, rock-and-roll attitude yandere who constantly makes you question your own morality. Featuring an old OC!
Content: gender neutral reader, violence, murder, male yandere
Tumblr media
He fell in love with you at first sight. A goody two shoes, quiet and obedient. Shy. Oh, terribly shy. You couldn't even meet his eyes. He knew you were the kind others would step on, take advantage of. But there was more to it, much more to uncover.
Who was it? A relative, a friend, a coworker? You know, that person holding you back, keeping you in your place. The one who'd always make you feel small and insignificant. The one who would always find something to criticize. How did it feel when you found them on the ground, bashed in and bloodied up? He was standing above the lifeless body, catching his breath, a cocky smile plastered on his face. His way of courting you.
He looked so tall in that moment, towering above your hesitant self, his gaze of a confidence and intensity you'd never known before. "Well? What are you waiting for? Get in", he said, gesturing towards a convertible he most likely stole earlier that day. What possessed you in that moment to join him without delay? Was it his charisma? Or did you know in the depth of your soul that he wouldn't take no for an answer?
You see, he's known it from the beginning. Someone like you needs someone like him. You’re a sweet little lamb lost among the wolves. The world would eat you right up if you were left by yourself. But now you have him. And he won't let his precious prey get away. Oh, dear, no. If he wants something, he gets it. And he's never wanted anything more than you.
"You didn't...even tell me your name", you sheepishly spoke up from the passenger seat, trying to keep your mind away from the crime you'd just witnessed. "Just call me Tig", he said casually with a yawn, speeding away. "Won't you be in trouble, Tig? Why would you even kill-" you tried to reason. "What kinda question is that? They treated you like shit and it pissed me off." He glanced at you with a frown, taking another drag off his cigarette. "You're mine now, so whatever happens to you is my business. Got it?" You just stared. Was that his way of asking you out?
Tig lives by his own rules, as you quickly learned from becoming his companion. Always on the run, indifferent to the world. For the most part, to your surprise, he's well-behaved. If people don't mess with him, he doesn't mess with them. Simple as that.
Anything involving you, however, sets him off terribly. Like a rabid, ferocious guard dog, he's ready to pounce on whoever approaches you the wrong way. Last week you stopped at a highway diner for coffee, and on your way back to your table, you jokingly pulled a clumsy dance move to the song playing from the speakers. Tig observed you with an amused smile, sipping from his cup. A passerby joined you, resting his arm on your waist flirtatiously. Tig's smile dropped in an instant, and next thing you knew, the whole place was splattered in blood. No one made it out.
"I didn't even finish my coffee", you whined, already used to the occasional massacre. The man hopped behind the counter and threw on a bloodied cap. "What will it be, sir/ma'am?" he pretended, dangling a takeaway cup and starting the espresso machine. "I never told you, but I used to be a barista", he declared proudly. An entirely different person from the unhinged killer you witnessed minutes ago. "What? You said you were a mechanic", you questioned with raised brows. "That's also true. I'm a jack of all trades, I suppose. You know what I'm best at, though?" He lowered himself until his forehead touched yours. "Pleasing you."
The man is romantic in his own way. He twists the key, and the engine stops. You follow him out of the car in confusion. "Why did we stop here?" He briefly lifts himself up onto the tall fence securing the bridge, and inhales deeply. "Isn't it a nice view?" he says, nodding ahead. It is a scenic sight, sure. The river slithers along the lush valley, and the setting sun gives everything a dramatic tint. "Give me your hand", he suddenly demands as he goes to grab it himself. Before you can ask for an explanation, he quickly drags a blade across your palm, and you wince in pain. He repeats the gesture with his own hand, locking his fingers with yours over the rail. You watch as fresh blood trails along your skin, eventually falling into droplets and vanishing into the river. "Now we're going to be everywhere", he remarks playfully. "Okay, but what was the point?" you insist, a little baffled.
"Isn't it obvious? Maybe this will help", he continues, procuring a ring from his pocket. "I'm saying I want to marry you, (Y/N)."
You open your mouth to answer, but he already slides it up your finger, eyes glimmering in excitement.
"You're never getting away from me, love."

one hell of a story
For @bucktommyweek prompt: alternate first meeting | 1.4k | Teen
Tommy's not usually one to fly for anyone but LAFD and himself, but the Skywitness News Eight helicopter desperately needed a pilot. He owed his old army buddy, Trent, a favor, which is how he finds himself trying to land a failing helicopter in the middle of a baseball field. Unfortunately, he fails. But he meets Evan in the process, so it's worth it.
read on ao3 or under the cut
“This is Taylor Kelly with your morning traffic update… and we are going down!”
----
Tommy isn’t even supposed to be here. He’s not usually one to fly for anyone but LAFD and himself, but the Skywitness News Eight helicopter desperately needed a pilot and he owed his old army buddy, Trent, a favor. Tommy was too kind to tell him to fuck off, though, he’s pretty sure those two words will leave his mouth the next time he sees Trent’s face.
“Tommy, what’s going on?” Taylor shouts. She’s holding onto the seat belt around her like her life depends on it—and it does, but Tommy isn’t about to tell her that.
“Some kind of engine malfunction. Does Trent keep this thing in good condition?” Tommy asks.
“How am I supposed to know?!” He really hoped for a more confidence-inducing answer. “I’m pretty sure he likes this thing more than me if that says anything!”
“It does,” Tommy mutters, though he knows Taylor can hear him through the radio. Trent always talked about his crush on the redhead and how he would drop everything if she agreed to date him. Unfortunately, Tommy now knows he’s not exactly her type—no man is—so he thinks he’ll have to break the news sooner rather than later.
“Are we falling?! Why does it feel like we’re falling?!” Taylor screams, panicked gasps following in quick succession.
“I’m going to do my best to land, okay? There’s a baseball field below us, and if all goes to plan, we’ll land safely and you’ll have one hell of a story,” Tommy relays.
Taylor laughs humorlessly into the radio. “And if it doesn’t?”
“It’ll still be one hell of a story,” he declares.
Then he focuses on saving their lives.
The baseball field is immense and empty enough that he doesn’t have to worry about collateral damage from the landing, but he realizes quickly it won’t be that easy. Every single control he usually manipulates with ease shakes under his grip, and no matter how much pressure he puts on the cyclic, there’s no tilting his way in the right direction.
He gets the machine as close to the ground as possible and prays that’s enough.
All he remembers is the blades getting louder, a metallic screeching, and a terror-filled shriek, then everything goes dark.
“Tommy? Can you hear me?”
“I think he’s coming to!”
“Kinard, open those baby blues for us!”
When Tommy blinks to consciousness, he feels like he’s been hit by a truck.
“Nope, just crashed a helicopter,” an unfamiliar voice says. He sees the blur of a few hands reaching out to slap the man, and when he follows the arms, he thinks he must be dreaming.
“Wilson? Han?” Tommy’s voice is almost hoarse and he wonders how terrified Taylor was of his warning screams—
Taylor.
He jolts up as best as he can but Hen and Chimney hold him down before he can go too far. The pain that radiates through his chest knocks the breath out of him and he falls horizontal once more, clutching his stomach in pain. He breathes quickly and shallowly, as any attempts to fill his lungs result in sharp twinges of pain. Someone he doesn’t recognize—the voice from before—places an oxygen mask over his face.
“She’s fine. Not a scratch on her,” the man soothes. Tommy likes the sound of his voice. He stops trying to escape his old teammates’ grasp and instead, angles his head back to connect eyes with the unknown man.
He’s a boy, really. Looks at least a decade younger than Tommy, but that doesn’t stop the rush of attraction that seeps through him. The man’s hair is mussed up like someone has run their hands through it—Tommy wants to run his hands through it—and he’s wearing his turnout coat unbuttoned like the picture of casuality. Tommy’s not sure he’s ever seen someone wear the uniform with such confidence and such… sweetness. He’s squinting his eyes from the sun though Tommy still notices a few small pink patches surrounding his eyebrow that match the color of his unfairly kissable lips.
“Yeah, he’s fine,” Hen decides. Tommy knows he’s been caught when he recognizes the sarcasm in her voice. Hen’s always been an observant one. He can practically hear her eyes roll as she makes quick introductions. “Tommy, this is Evan Buckley. Buck, Tommy Kinard.”
“From Air Ops,” Evan says eagerly. Tommy’s stomach flips at the acknowledgment. How has he never heard of Evan before? “What are you doing flying with Taylor Kelly?”
“Slumming it with Skywitness Traffic, Tommy? I can’t believe I saved your life for this,” Chimney teases. Tommy smacks him on his nearest body part and takes the oxygen mask off of his face.
As if on instinct, Evan reaches to put it back, and their hands brush and linger.
Tommy hates to be cliche, but they’re lucky the ambulance doesn’t blow up when the sparks fly through the flowing oxygen. Actually, being touched by Evan Buckley seems like a hell of a way to go…
“Was helping out an old army friend,” Tommy explains. “Can’t let L.A. fall subject to bad traffic patterns, can I?”
Evan laughs, and Tommy’s stomach does a weird fluttering he hasn’t felt in ages.
“Guess you regret that favor, huh?” Chimney jokes.
“Not anymore,” Tommy mutters just loud enough for Evan to hear.
Tommy makes sure to maintain eye contact and only barely stops himself from winking at the poor kid. He’s blushing like crazy, redness spreading up from underneath his high neckline and overtaking his adorable cheeks. From the stillness around them, Tommy doesn’t think this is usual behavior, and he can’t help but feel a little satisfied about that. He chances a glance at Hen and Chimney who are both staring at Evan like he’s lost his damn mind. It takes everything in Tommy not to giggle—both because of embarrassment and the fact he might actually pass out from pain if he does.
“So, what’s the verdict, Evan?” Tommy asks.
The adorable man blinks a few times before glancing up at Hen and Chimney, who Tommy is very aware are the ones with the answer to his question. Out of the corner of his eye, Tommy sees Hen gesturing for Evan to answer himself.
“U-Um, I’m sure you feel ten-tenderness in your ribs so that’s… gotta be looked at.” Evan shakes his head like he’s all too aware of his stammering, but Tommy couldn’t be more smitten. “You lost consciousness so H-Hen—she checked for any issues with your eyes but nothing abnormal. How’s your head?”
Without thinking, Tommy replies, “Would you like to find out?”
There’s a chorus of: “Tommy!” “Get a room!” “Jesus Christ!” “Oh my god!”
All of which are ignored by both of them.
Instead, Evan tilts his head and smiles—it would’ve knocked Tommy off his feet if he were standing.
“I think I just might,” Evan agrees.
“Oh, you two are made for each other,” Hen turns toward Chimney, “how did we not see that?”
“Buck likes guys?!” Chimney says instead. Evan blushes even deeper and Tommy’s glad that he’s not on a heart monitor for all to see it skip a beat. “No, I’m done with this. To answer your question, Tommy, you may have an acute head injury and you definitely have some broken ribs. We’ve gotta get you to the hospital so if you’re done flirting…”
“What if I’m not?” Tommy argues, just to rile Chimney up a little more. Tommy always enjoyed that—misses it, really. “What if I want to see Evan blush a little more?”
“Oh my god,” Buck mumbles. He hides his face in his hands, but Tommy can still see the smile lines between the cracks in his fingers. “Hen, get him out of here.”
“Got it, Buckaroo,” she agrees, shrugging at Tommy playfully.
“I didn’t get your number!” Tommy shouts as best as he can with presumably broken ribs. He knows they’ll hurt a lot more the second he focuses on them, but how can he focus on anything but Evan?
“118.”
With that, Hen shuts the doors and Tommy sighs the happiest sigh he can muster.
“Oh, he’s—” Tommy doesn’t even have the words, but Hen seems to understand.
“You’re in trou-ble, Kinard.” She clicks her tongue.
And Tommy’s never been so excited by the prospect.
(Chimney derails any further conversation with a line of consciousness that starts with, “Okay, since when do both Tommy and Buck like men?! How did I miss this?!”)

Tumblr media
Please note that I am not a professional translator and I'm only doing this to share the side materials to those who cannot access them, if you notice any mistakes please let me know nicely. Enjoy!
Rokuya Nagi: HIII, everyone! Have you tried "GREEN BUBBLE" yet?
Yotsuba Tamaki: It's us! We are "GREEN BUBBLE"!
Isumi Haruka: It is! right!
Kujo Tenn: That’s right.
Kujo Tenn: "GREEN BUBBLE" is the new product from "Jyuurokugumi" as well as our unit name.
Rokuya Nagi: Yes! "GREEN BUBBLE"!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Pop! Pop! Pop!
Kujo Tenn: What are you doing.
Yotsuba Tamaki: It's the bubble popping dance!
Rokuya Nagi: OH! Pop! Pop!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ready, everyone~!
Isumi Haruka: Huh!? Pop...
Kujo Tenn: Excuse me. Can we proceed properly?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh, yes...
Kujo Tenn: It's a wonderful new product as well as an introduction to our unit, so I'd like to do it properly.
Isumi Haruka: See, we got scolded! I was gonna do it properly too!
Rokuya Nagi: OH! We're not fooling around! It's a wonderful performance! Let's do it together!
Rokuya Nagi: 3, 2, 1...
GREEN BUBBLE: Pop! Pop! Pop!
Isumi Haruka: Wow... Kujo Tenn joined in too...
Yotsuba Tamaki: Don’t you know? Tenn-Tenn’s the kind of character who'd join in stuff like this more than you think he would.
Kujo Tenn: Wait, Yotsuba-san, don't lean your arm on my shoulder.
Yotsuba Tamaki: What about my chin?
Kujo Tenn: Your face is close, too close.
Isumi Haruka: Huh!? Aren't you guys too close!? Is this how it is between you two!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: That's right.
Isumi Haruka: Awesome...
Kujo Tenn: What do you mean awesome?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Isumin, won’t it be cool if you and Nagicchi got close too?
Isumi Haruka: ...! T-that's true, but I heard he might look friendly, but actually be quite closed off.
Rokuya Nagi: OH... Who on earth told you that? That’s a huge misunderstanding.
Isumi Haruka: Um... an acquaintance of mine...
Rokuya Nagi: Well that acquaintance of yours met me in the worst possible way and doesn’t wanna listen to what I want to say.
Rokuya Nagi: The door to my heart in front of you, Isumi-shi, is wide open. Please, come on in.
Isumi Haruka: Alright, well... I'm intruding.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Isumin is inside Nagi's heart right now.
Isumi Haruka: Maybe, yeah...?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ha. What's it like?
Isumi Haruka: What's it like!? What’s it like uh, um...!? How am I even supposed to answer that!?
Isumi Haruka: It's……uh….. it... it smells nice...?
Yotsuba Tamaki: ...huh...
Rokuya Nagi: ...OH...
Isumi Haruka:.... Stop acting like I bombed a joke!!
Kujo Tenn: Moving on, it's the "8th anniversary! Four Thanks Project!”
Isumi Haruka: Wait, hold on...!
Kujo Tenn: As part of the limited-time unit formation celebration, the "Ask This and That!?" edition.
Kujo Tenn: Let’s get the "GREEN BUBBLE" version started.
Kujo Tenn: Everyone, please support us! Don't let the other units sway you.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Because we're the best, right!?
Rokuya Nagi: Yes! It's really, totally lonely to be separated from the other IDOLiSH7 members, but...
Yotsuba Tamaki: I'm here!
Rokuya Nagi: Tamaki! I love you!
Kujo Tenn: Don't get too cozy. I'm a member now too.
Yotsuba Tamaki: I love you!
Rokuya Nagi: I LOVE YOU!
Kujo Tenn: What about you, Isumi-san?
Isumi Haruka: ...I don't really understand that but!
Isumi Haruka: I hope you love me! Love us! Love this unit, and love "GREEN BUBBLE"!
Kujo Tenn & Yotsuba Tamaki & Rokuya Nagi: Yay!!
Isumi Haruka: W-was that okay? Is it alright?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Don’t worry, it was alright! So cool!
Rokuya Nagi: It was cool!
Kujo Tenn: Well then, let’s read what the staff have to say...
Isumi Haruka: He-... wait! You bastard didn’t tell me your impression yet.
Kujo Tenn: Bastard?
Isumi Haruka: Ah. sorry... your impression, Kujo-san...
Kujo Tenn: It was cool. Your straightforward message opened the door to my heart too.
Rokuya Nagi: OH...! You used the door to your heart! Excellent utilization!
Isumi Haruka: Kujo Tenn said I was cool...
Kujo Tenn: Are you embarrassed?
Isumi Haruka: No. It feels great...
Kujo Tenn: Ah, I see.
Isumi Haruka: To be told I'm cool by Kujo Tenn...
Kujo Tenn: Are you blushing?
Isumi Haruka: No. I just feel really good...
Kujo Tenn: Ah, I see.
Isumi Haruka: I made Kujo Tenn say I was cool...
Kujo Tenn: You’d be cute if you blushed because of me too.
Yotsuba Tamaki: It’s true. Nagicchi you smell nice.
Rokuya Nagi: Tamaki smells nice too! Hm... Is this vanilla?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Bingo! I licked some vanilla extract.
Isumi Haruka: Why!?
Kujo Tenn: You're not supposed to lick it, you know!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Mikki was trying to make something, and it was on the table.
Yotsuba Tamaki: He drops some on the palm of his hand like this, but it's not that sweet. I fall for it every time.
Isumi Haruka: That's true! His hands smell like vanilla!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Sou-chan finds out every time I do this.
Kujo Tenn: Do you get scolded?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Used to.
Rokuya Nagi: And now?
Yotsuba Tamaki: He says it’s kinda soothing.
Kujo Tenn: You've grown stronger, Osaka-san...
Isumi Haruka: But this might be good when you're hungry.
Yotsuba Tamaki: You turn it into a trend amongst ZOOL.
Isumi Haruka: Got it. I’ll make it a trend within the group first, then make it go viral.
Yotsuba Tamaki: You better credit me when it goes viral.
Kujo Tenn: Smart move.
Rokuya Nagi: Please make my fragrance a trend after that.
Isumi Haruka: Impossible, it sounds too expensive!
Rokuya Nagi: No, no. It's reasonably priced.
Kujo Tenn: I don't think it's all that out of reach. It's a collaboration perfume with Kokona-chan.
Yotsuba Tamaki: How do you know that, Tenntenn!?
Kujo Tenn: Just a little bit of knowledge.
Rokuya Nagi: Welcome to my world.
Isumi Haruka: Somehow we seem to be getting along mysteriously well?! aren't we!
Kujo Tenn: That's a fitting response. Actually, we received a question from the staff.
Kujo Tenn: "Do you guys get along well?"
Isumi Haruka: Perfect timing!
Yotsuba Tamaki: We do!
Rokuya Nagi: We're friends!
Kujo Tenn: We're get along well. Let's continue with the "Ask This and That!?" shuffle talk.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yes! Then, let's ask other questions!
Kujo Tenn: Yes.
Rokuya Nagi: Yay!
Isumi Haruka: Yeah.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh! I’m your MC, Yotsuba Tamaki!
Isumi Haruka: What are you laughing at. Can you even do it properly?
Yotsuba Tamaki: I can! Everyone! Cheer me on!
Rokuya Nagi: Tamaki, fight!
Kujo Tenn: Do your best!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Alright! So who's up first? Isumin?
Isumi Haruka: Huh!? You’re the one who chooses!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: I'm the MC so I'm the king, right!?
Isumi Haruka: That’s not how it works!?
Kujo Tenn: A dangerous person is taking the initiative.
Yotsuba Tamaki: You don’t get it! Maybe that person’s nervous! What should I do, Nagi!?
Rokuya Nagi: Relax, it's okay. Just face that camera and give us some fan service.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Huh!? Fan service!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yay!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Wink!
Rokuya Nagi: Wow! So cool!
Yotsuba Tamaki: I calmed down for some reason...
Isumi Haruka: Doing fan service calms you down.
Kujo Tenn: As expected of an idol. That was splendid.
Rokuya Nagi: Isumi-shi, did a question come to your mind right now?
Isumi Haruka: Um, n... not yet!?
Rokuya Nagi: Well then, may I ask a question?
Kujo Tenn: Oh, clever.
Isumi Haruka: You’re so kind!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Nagicchi, you're so mature!!
Rokuya Nagi: Fufufu. Yes. Mitsuki gave me a secret mission yesterday.
Yotsuba Tamaki: What's that!? Did Mikki say something to you?
Rokuya Nagi: Yes.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Try saying it Mikki-style!
Rokuya Nagi: OK.
Rokuya Nagi: Listen, Nagi.
Kujo Tenn: Are unreasonable requests the norm in Ainana?
Isumi Haruka: Scary...
Rokuya Nagi: You guys are the only shuffle units that consists of only teenagers.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh, he’s right!
Isumi Haruka: Seriously! Kujo-san, did you notice?!
Kujo Tenn: I sure did.
Rokuya Nagi: You’re the oldest in that group of teenagers, so you gotta be the best brother.
Rokuya Nagi: You gotta protect everyone and be a good leader!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Leader! Nagicchi, you're the leader!? So that's why you supported me!
Rokuya Nagi: Yes! As long as everyone is okay with it, I'll be the leader of this unit!
Yotsuba Tamaki: That's totally fine right?!
Isumi Haruka: Yeah! Izumi's brother is so kind too!
Kujo Tenn: Yes, that's right. We’ll be in your care, Rokuya-san.
Rokuya Nagi: Thanks!
Rokuya Nagi: So if I'm the leader, then I'm practically a king...
Isumi Haruka: Hm!? I heard that line somewhere before!?
Kujo Tenn: You're also a dangerous person.
Yotsuba Tamaki: I know this one! You usurped me!!
Rokuya Nagi: Alright! Let's do it! Please answer this upcoming question!
Rokuya Nagi: Which idol, other than the members of your own group, would respond to your rabbit chat right away?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Other than our own group... You mean other than the members of this unit, right? Not IDOLiSH7?
Isumi Haruka: So, other than… the members of ŹOOḼ!?
Kujo Tenn: You mean someone from another idol group than TRIGGER?
Rokuya Nagi: Yes.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Sounds interesting! I wonder who would respond immediately!?
Isumi Haruka: Huh? You mean we’re gonna text someone right here and now!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yes yes! Other than members of our own groups!
Isumi Haruka: Huhhh...?
Kujo Tenn: ...
Yotsuba Tamaki: What’s up with you two, why so serious? I’m sure there's at least one guy who’d respond, right?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Especially Tenntenn, he's a guaranteed winner, right!? Anyone would be happy to get a rabbichat from you!
Kujo Tenn: Too risky. It's dangerous precisely because they'd be happy. ...But well, understood.
Isumi Haruka: Understood means you figured it out? Huh!? Who?
Kujo Tenn: It's a secret. Have you decided?
Isumi Haruka: Have I...
Isumi Haruka: There's only one person, do you think they’d respond..?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Huh? Why are you asking me? Oh...! Ah…
Isumi Haruka: Yotsuba, did you want to text them?
Yotsuba Tamaki: No, they're from my group. It's fine, I'll give it to Isumin.
Isumi Haruka: Okay, then I'll take this one.
Yotsuba Tamaki: "Take this one", that’s hilarious. They’re probably gonna reply now.
Isumi Haruka: Awesome!
Rokuya Nagi: Oh... It's a private conversation...
Kujo Tenn: I think I know who Isumi-san is referring to.
Yotsuba Tamaki: What should I do... Oh, Tenntenn.
Kujo Tenn: What?
Yotsuba Tamaki: ...Is the big guy working right now?
Kujo Tenn: .........The big guy is working right now.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh, too bad!
Isumi Haruka: I get why you’re talking like that but... who could it be...?
Rokuya Nagi: The big guy might be available. He mentioned that the shoot was interrupted due to rain earlier.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Huh? How do you know?
Rokuya Nagi: He just sent me a photo a moment ago. It's a late-blooming cherry blossom.
Isumi Haruka: Cherry blossoms...
Kujo Tenn: Ah... Thank you very much for your help that day.
Rokuya Nagi: Likewise. I was able to witness your wonderful stage.
Rokuya Nagi: It’s a memory I will cherish forever. Thank you very much.
Kujo Tenn: It's an honor. I'm genuinely happy from the bottom of my heart.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Isumin, you probably don't know. Nagi helped a lot with the "Zero" musical.
Rokuya Nagi: I didn't do anything. We just talked about memories.
Rokuya Nagi: The big guy turned those memories into a magnificent performance and created an unprecedented piece of art.
Kujo Tenn: I’m glad to hear that... I’m sure Ryuu will be delighted to hear that too.
Yotsuba Tamaki: You just said his name.
Kujo Tenn: Ah, sorry.
Yotsuba Tamaki: It was so obvious. Well then, should I try sending a rabbichat to the big guy since we might get an answer?
Isumi Haruka: Doesn't that ruin the surprise? You should go for someone else.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Nah, the person Isumin’s targeting ain’t really a surprise anymore, right?
Kujo Tenn: I don’t think you’d be able to guess who I’m choosing.
Yotsuba Tamaki: It’s definitely the first person.
Isumi Haruka: Who did you choose? Isn't it that person?
Rokuya Nagi: If it's that person, I think they'll respond right away.
Kujo Tenn: I think they’re quite different from who you all are imagining.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Huh!? Who!?
Rokuya Nagi: OH! The person I’m imagining is definitely waiting for a chat from Kujo-shi!
Kujo Tenn: Sorry, but there are plenty of people waiting for a rabbichat from me.
Yotsuba Tamaki: There it is! The little devil!
Kujo Tenn: Can I send it now?
Rokuya Nagi: Please go ahead.
Isumi Haruka: Who is it!?
Kujo Tenn: I wonder if they’ll respond... Oh, they've already seen it.
Kujo Tenn: They responded quickly! Oh, they also sent a photo.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Who? Who is it?
Kujo Tenn: Momo-san.
Rokuya Nagi & Isumi Haruka: Oh!
Kujo Tenn: "Good luck with the recording!" he said. He sent a selfie with Yuki-san.
Rokuya Nagi: OH! It's a tulip field!
Isumi Haruka: What are they doing? They're holding a big picnic basket and a shovel.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Are they on location or something?
Kujo Tenn: He says it’s their day off today.
Isumi Haruka: What the hell are Re:vale doing...
Yotsuba Tamaki: He sent more messages! Read them all.
Kujo Tenn: Do we really need to?
Yotsuba Tamaki: You better read them! Momorin sent them to you!
Kujo Tenn: …
Kujo Tenn: "Tenn-chan really wuvs me lots mwah mwah, I’m with darling right now but I will give you my wuv too!"
Rokuya Nagi: In other words, the direct translation is "You seem to like me, but since I'm with my most beloved right now, I'll share some of my love with you."
Kujo Tenn: Am I being rejected?
Yotsuba Tamaki: That's hilarious!
Kujo Tenn: But thank you for your reply, Re:vale-san.
Yotsuba Tamaki: It's a shame Re:vale’s not in this unit. I’m happy we could mingle!
Isumi Haruka: Aren’t you being too casual with your seniors!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: It’s fine!
Kujo Tenn: Who's going next?
Isumi Haruka: Oh! I'll go.
Isumi Haruka: Please… Please respond...
Isumi Haruka: …
Kujo Tenn & Yotsuba Tamaki & Rokuya Nagi: ..........
Isumi Haruka: Huh, there’s still no read receipt...
Yotsuba Tamaki: Damn it! Nagicchi, isn't our number one person free right now?
Rokuya Nagi: Our number one person is at school today.
Yotsuba Tamaki: But isn't it lunchtime?
Isumi Haruka: Maybe they're busy…?
Kujo Tenn: What should we do? Wait for a response?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Hmm... Is there no one else, Isumin?
Isumi Haruka: Huh!? They're not here! Can I not text ŹOOḼ!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Nope.
Isumi Haruka: I don't have any other friends Besides ŹOOḼ...
Kujo Tenn: If I were in a different unit I would have responded right away.
Isumi Haruka: Huh!? That's... Stop teasing me, you little devil! Don't say things that'll get my hopes up!!
Kujo Tenn: But it's true?
Isumi Haruka: Huuhh!? You're embarrassing me…! Wait, don't take a picture.
Kujo Tenn: Hehe...
Yotsuba Tamaki: Good for you, Isumin.
Rokuya Nagi: That’s a page of youth.
Isumi Haruka: What should I do, though...do we wait for Izumi’s reply? Ah. I said his name.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Then you can use my partner!
Isumi Haruka: Th-the one that starts with "O"!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yup. The three of us talked in a group chat before. They'll respond right away now.
Isumi Haruka: Wait, hold on. I'm nervous... What should I say...
Rokuya Nagi: Why don’t you send a sticker?
Isumi Haruka: A sticker!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Remember the dinosaur one? The one where the dinosaur breaks the door. That one's good.
Isumi Haruka: Why!? That’s so rude outta nowhere!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Maybe they'll feel a connection.
Rokuya Nagi: The gaogao dinosaur is so cute! I like T-kun too.
Isumi Haruka: Oh... Thanks. I kinda... like T-kun too.
Rokuya Nagi: Yay! He’s one of us.
Isumi Haruka: This person looks flashy, but they're nice... Alright, I'll send this sticker.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Go for it!
Kujo Tenn: Will it show as read?
Isumi Haruka: It did!
Yotsuba Tamaki: What did they say? what did Sou-chan say?
Isumi Haruka: Um…
Isumi Haruka:  "Thank you for your help. What a cheerful dinosaur. If this was sent by mistake, no need to reply."
Kujo Tenn: He’s so serious.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ahahaha! Sou-chan, that's hilarious.
Isumi Haruka: It sure is...
Yotsuba Tamaki: So?
Isumi Haruka: S-So what?
Yotsuba Tamaki: What did you think?
Isumi Haruka: He kinda…He  used a lot of polite language and seemed very kind...
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ah, yeah, that's true. I'll tell him that you called him kind.
Kujo Tenn: No, this is being recorded.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh, right. Everything’s being filmed! Man, now I'm kinda embarrassed!
Rokuya Nagi: There's nothing to be embarrassed about. Just give that camera some fan service.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yay! No need to reply!
Kujo Tenn: Should you really be saying that line with that smug look on your face?
Isumi Haruka: Haa... Anyways, I’m clear for now. Hm? This isn’t a mission, is it?
Rokuya Nagi: Yes! It’s nothing more than simple question.
Kujo Tenn: Last but not least, Yotsuba. Who are you sending the rabbichat to?
Yotsuba Tamaki: The big guy from TRIGGER. Everyone, gather around a bit.
Rokuya Nagi: Are you sending a photo?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yup. Look at the screen.
Kujo Tenn: A rare group photo.
Isumi Haruka: Oh... I kinda want this photo too...
Yotsuba Tamaki: I’ll send it to you. Alrighty, let's do this on the count of three...
Rokuya Nagi: Yay! Click.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Nice! One more time. Click.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Thanks. I'll send it now!
Isumi Haruka: Let me see. How is it?
Kujo Tenn: It's a nice photo, isn't it?
Isumi Haruka: Amazing! Great photo! It really feels like we're friends!
Rokuya Nagi: I'm happy! Another precious photo to add to the collection!
Kujo Tenn: I wonder if Ryuu saw it?
Yotsuba Tamaki: He saw it and... Oh, he already replied!
Yotsuba Tamaki: "Thanks for the photo. Your shoot seems to be going well. I'm having lunch right now."
Yotsuba Tamaki: ...And he sent a photo of his lunch!
Rokuya Nagi: OH... Why didn't he just send a selfie?
Isumi Haruka: Looks delicious! I like this pink furikake-like sweet thing! (1)
Kujo Tenn: It's sakuradafu, isn't it? (2)
Isumi Haruka: Cherry blossoms?
Kujo Tenn: No, it's supposed to be fish paste.
Isumi Haruka: Fish!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: I’m glad we got a reply! I'll thank Ryuu-aniki for the photo!
Kujo Tenn: Okay.
Isumi Haruka: Are we finally done with the first question?
Rokuya Nagi: Sorry. I made it a difficult question.
Isumi Haruka: It's okay, it was fun! So, can I ask the next question? I think it'll be quick!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Sure.
Kujo Tenn: Go ahead.
Isumi Haruka: Um, so, how do you guys feel about your managers?
Kujo Tenn: Our manager? I've known them for a long time, they're someone I can trust.
Isumi Haruka: Like a family member?
Kujo Tenn: It’s a bit different than that. I consider them one of the most important members of TRIGGER who’s not visible to the public.
Kujo Tenn: It’s most likely the same for Gaku and Ryuu?
Isumi Haruka: Ha...that’s great.
Isumi Haruka: What about you guys, Yotsuba?
Yotsuba Tamaki: We get along really well. They're super nice, super funny, and super cool.
Isumi Haruka: I get it, MEZZO”’s manager is so cool.
Rokuya Nagi: IDOLiSH7’s manager is also very kind and very sincere. They always listen to me.
Isumi Haruka: They always listen to you huh, do you talk to them about stuff other than work?
Rokuya Nagi: Sometimes we ask them for advice, but we also chat like friends.
Isumi Haruka: I see...
Yotsuba Tamaki: Why this question?
Isumi Haruka: It's just... You know, ŹOOḼ has a manager.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Duh.
Isumi Haruka: And, in this project, the four members of ŹOOḼ were shuffled into four different units, right?
Isumi Haruka: And each of us went to record songs and shoot music videos for those units.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yepyep.
Isumi Haruka: So... I wish I didn’t, but I ended up asking which song they liked the most?
Rokuya Nagi: What was the response?
Isumi Haruka: "Good Good Games."
Kujo Tenn&Yotsuba Tamaki&Rokuya Nagi: Oh...
Isumi Haruka: “Oh” right!? It's like, you know! The manager’s face changed to worry as soon as he replied...!
Yotsuba Tamaki: That's not cool...
Isumi Haruka: Right!? It feels like they're not mine anymore, you know!?
Rokuya Nagi: I sense some jealousy here.
Isumi Haruka: Touma was happy then suddenly felt a bit uneasy. Minami, Torao and I just acted like nothing happened.
Isumi Haruka: Well, it's my fault for asking!
Kujo Tenn: Personal preferences are personal preferences, so it's okay. It's different from who they value the most.
Kujo Tenn: I understand why you'd feel complicated.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Does it happen with TRIGGER?
Kujo Tenn: We've been together for a long time, so we understand our manager's preferences.
Kujo Tenn: But we still feel a drive to compete with each other, as if we want to be chosen by them.
Isumi Haruka: Why are you not shaken up? I get upset and depressed easily…
Yotsuba Tamaki: No, I get why you feel that way. I’d be depressed if my manager told me Sou-chan was better.
Rokuya Nagi: I also want my manager to praise me first...
Kujo Tenn: Isn't that fine? That just means you have a good relationship.
Isumi Haruka: Are you sure!? Aren't you internally sighing at how childish we are!?
Kujo Tenn: It's fine, right? We're all kids.
Yotsuba Tamaki: What's up, Tenntenn!? Aren't you being a bit lenient!? Is it because the camera's still rolling!
Isumi Haruka: Ah, the camera...
Kujo Tenn: Come on.
Isumi Haruka: ...Um. Kujo…san…Remember when, uh... you said, uh...
Kujo Tenn: Yes?
Isumi Haruka: You said you don't do idol work to be praised, you do it for yourself.
Kujo Tenn: That's right.
Yotsuba Tamaki: What's with that!? That's so cool...
Isumi Haruka: Since then, I've started to, um... worry about... whether I'm doing it to be praised.
Kujo Tenn: That's admirable.
Isumi Haruka: Again... You're really...
Kujo Tenn: I mean it honestly. I think you're admirable.
Isumi Haruka: ...Because, you know, if you're doing it to be praised, then when something happens, you end up blaming the other person.
Isumi Haruka: You end up saying "I told you to do it", or “I didn’t wanna do it”, or “It’s all your fault”.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ah, I get it.
Rokuya Nagi: That's very important.
Isumi Haruka: Right. That's why it doesn’t matter to me. I'll sing my songs for myself with everyone here.
Isumi Haruka: It doesn't matter if I'm not chosen by my manager or the world as the best.
Kujo Tenn: Let's aim for the top.
Isumi Haruka: Huhhh!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Hell yeah! I wanna be the most popular in the unit!
Rokuya Nagi: I want to be popular too! "Never Green" is a wonderful song!
Isumi Haruka: Ah... When you say it like that, I want to be popular too.
Isumi Haruka: Yeah, I want to be the most popular after all! But Kujo-san is so far ahead...
Kujo Tenn: What are you talking about? Aiming for the top is the best feeling.
Kujo Tenn: As long as you don’t hurt yourself or the others if you don’t reach it.
Isumi Haruka: Yeah…
Kujo Tenn: I wanna be popular too.
Isumi Haruka: Ahaha! That line doesn’t suit you.
Kujo Tenn: Why not? I want to be properly popular. Let's make the best performance with this song. One that makes all the other members jealous.
Rokuya Nagi: That's wonderful! Let's make them jealous! The idea makes my heart dance!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Exciting! Let's win over the adults as the children’s group!
GREEN BUBBLE: Yeahh!!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh... We got so excited as if we reached the climax but we still have some questions left.
Rokuya Nagi: We got into quite a deep topic. Let's keep it light. Who’s next?
Kujo Tenn: Okay.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah. Can I go next?
Kujo Tenn: Go ahead.
Yotsuba Tamaki: In relation to our song "Never Green," what's your favorite vegetable?
Kujo Tenn: Vegetable!?
Yotsuba Tamaki: I'm not really into veggies. But Sou-chan and Mikki said I should eat them.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Give me some recommendations! If you can't eat vegetables, plants are okay too!
Rokuya Nagi: Corn! It's sweet, has a nice texture, fresh, and it's really tasty.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Corn is so good! It's my favorite vegetable too!
Kujo Tenn: I’ve been into beets lately.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Beets?
Kujo Tenn: It's a pink vegetable. It's delicious even when made into jam.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Isn’t it a fruit if you can make jam out of it?
Kujo Tenn: I think it's a vegetable. It looks like turnip.
Yotsuba Tamaki: I see. How about you, Isumin?
Isumi Haruka: I like all vegetables, but I’ve noticed that I quite enjoy mint lately.
Yotsuba Tamaki: You've been eating mint ice cream for a while now.
Isumi Haruka: All ice cream tastes good, you know! Sometimes I put fresh leaves in and make tea out of it.
Rokuya Nagi: OH! Fresh herb tea is delicious!
Yotsuba Tamaki: How classy!
Isumi Haruka: Yeah! It looks beautiful. Minami made it for me.
Isumi Haruka: He's been growing them at home lately. He’s growing herbs in small planters…
Yotsuba Tamaki: Hm? Don’t we have a ton of these at home too?
Kujo Tenn: We have a lot of them as well. Parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme...
Rokuya Nagi: It’s a Dokidoki Cultivation kit from some "Magical★Kokona" blind goods. I bought them in bulk and distributed them.
Kujo Tenn: Really!?
Rokuya Nagi: It seems that Natsume-shi's cultivation kit landed on mint. I'm glad Isumi-shi liked it.
Isumi Haruka: Ah... Y-Yeah... Thank you...
Isumi Haruka: It's really taking over the pot.
Kujo Tenn: Mint is fertile and reproduces quickly. Oh, wait a minute...
Kujo Tenn: I think Re:vale went to plant their herbs then?
Rokuya Nagi: OH!
Kujo Tenn: I was negotiating with Yuki-san to offer him the rosemary Gaku harvested the other day.
Kujo Tenn: But even Yuki-san’s family home ended up troubled with a large harvest of herbs.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Did they rent a field or something?
Rokuya Nagi: I think they’ll land in trouble if they plant these on the ground…
Isumi Haruka: We should let them know...
Rokuya Nagi: Let's contact them later. Well then, last one! Kujo-shi!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Huh!? Isn't it my turn to MC!?
Isumi Haruka: It's fine, anyone can do it.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Are you sure!? Okay then.
Kujo Tenn: Yes. Well then, I'd like to ask a question.
Kujo Tenn: It's also related to this song.
Kujo Tenn: “Never Green” is about someone who has had bitter experiences in their past, looking back and affirming who they are now.
Kujo Tenn: I think it’s that kind of song.
Rokuya Nagi: Yes, it is. It evokes the feeling of euphoria after going through and overcoming something.
Kujo Tenn: That's right. I think everyone here has overcome or endured something.
Kujo Tenn: If you were to meet your past self, what would you tell them?
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ah...
Yotsuba Tamaki: It will be alright. You’re gonna go through tough times, but they all lead to being okay.
Rokuya Nagi: It's okay. I have a similar sentiment. What's different from Tamaki is...
Rokuya Nagi: You don’t have to hate, and you don’t have to be wary. It’s okay.
Rokuya Nagi: Everyone you meet will become someone you love.
Isumi Haruka: Wow... Somehow... Yeah, I get it...
Kujo Tenn: And what about you, Isumi-san?
Isumi Haruka: I still can't... I can't seem to find kind words to tell myself. I feel like I'd say something like "You idiot" or "It's your fault"...
Yotsuba Tamaki: Ah...
Kujo Tenn: And aside from those accusatory words?
Isumi Haruka: ...Aside from them...
Kujo Tenn: Yeah. I think it's good to say something nice to yourself.
Isumi Haruka: Mm...
Isumi Haruka: ...Hang in there, I guess. Just a little more, so hang in there.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah. I want you to overcome this. I want to go pick you up myself.
Yotsuba Tamaki: We're all here for you.
Isumi Haruka: Stop it! You're trying to make me cry...!
Yotsuba Tamaki: I'm not! Are you gonna cry?
Isumi Haruka: I'm not gonna cry!
Kujo Tenn: Thank you for your answers, everyone. Each answer really touched my heart.
Isumi Haruka: Thank you.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Thanks a bunch.
Rokuya Nagi: I had a great time! Tamaki, will you wrap this up?
Yotsuba Tamaki: I’ll leave it to you.
Kujo Tenn: He’ll leave it to you.
Isumi Haruka: He's so carefree...

Am I the only one who thinks that the thematic and narrative climax of s5 (and low key the whole show) will be almost a direct parallel to the "You said yes" scene from s2?? Like same exact narrative and cinematic setup of Will being controlled by Vecna to the point where he's nearly gone or on the brink of death, and Mike being able to bring him back to reality with words of love???
Like I low key feel like that scene in s2 was supposed to serve as a precursor and foreshadowing to the climax of Byler rather than just standing on its own as an isolated event. We always talk on here about how Mike's monologue to El in s4 was supposed to directly contrast that scene and demonstrate how false and unnatural Milkvan's supposed "love" is, but we never really talk about just how awkward of a placement it is for the true and "authentic" love confession (Byler s2) to precede the clunky and false one (Milkvan s4). Like, imo it kind of leaves things on an awkward note and kind of hanging.
The only way it wouldn't be awkward or unfinished is if there ends up being a followup scene/parallel to the "you said yes" scene, and I think this is what's going to happen. I think Mike's monologue to El comes after the more romantic, authentic confession not only because it's supposed to contrast it but because the show is serving us two different "choices," two different options for Mike, two different scenarios. Not just for the sake of his character arc but in a meta sense as well, kind of like asking the audience, "which choice makes the most sense for Mike given the events up until now and the themes of the show? Can he be his most authentic and happiest self with Will or El?" And the natural followup to posing this dichotomy would be to answer this question for us by showing us in no uncertain terms why Will makes more sense for Mike as a long-term love interest.
The other reason why I believe this to be the case is because of the blocking of the s2 scene and the way it's set up: with Will being unable to move, unable to say anything or regain any control, and with Mike opening up and being vulnerable about his true feelings for Will [here comes the most important part lol] IN FRONT OF the other characters like Jonathan and Joyce (I can't remember if it was the entire rest of the cast in this scene or just those two?? I think it might've been everybody bc weren't they trying to get Will to communicate with them using morse code? I don't remember lmao) but anyways, I don't think it was a coincidence that Mike gave his grand "Do you remember the first day that we met?" speech not only to Will himself but in front of the other characters. Remember as well that Mike also confessed his "love" for El in front of an audience, and I don't think that's a coincidence either. I think it's leading to a final confession from Mike that will also take place in front of an audience and will serve as the "choice" that Mike makes between El and Will as well as the "choice" the Duffers present as being the correct narrative and thematic choice for the show. It's important that Mike's initial two confessions took place in front of an audience and also that his final one will, because this will also serve as Mike's "coming out" moment to the rest of the characters and to the audience. I think that Mike is going to have a second speech to Will that isn't just "I love you I love you I love you" over and over again like it was to El. It will be sweet and unique to Will and Byler's relationship except this time it will be explicitly, undeniably romantic so that no one will be able to even think that what he feels for Will is anything short of genuine, passionate, romantic love.
I wouldn't even be surprised if what Mike says closely parallels what he said to El except basically the opposite, alluding to the fact that it wasn't "love at first sight" for him but a slow, gradually building and gradually cultivating love that blossomed over the course of his entire life. Instead of "I knew then and there that I loved you" like he did to El, he could say something like, "I didn't realize it yet when I met you, and I'm not even sure I know when it happened, but I think I've spent my entire life slowly falling in love with you." And he says it with tears in his eyes and in front of all of the rest of the characters, who will also be crying (especially Joyce lol). And of course Will will just be sobbing even through Vecna's control over him, but it will be Mike's love that ultimately frees him from Vecna's hold over him. This would make sense, because unlike El, Will's story has never been about independence and breaking himself free, but about him and Mike breaking themselves free through teamwork a la "I think that we should work together. I think it'll be easier if we're a team."

Just a little help -Rafe Cameron
Warnings: Corruption, Anger Issues, Not proof read, English is not my first language
Pairing: Grumpy!Rafe x Sunshine!Reader
Tumblr media
You hated Rafe. He was a grumpy guy while you were a ray of pure sunshine. The fact that he was a Kook while you were a Pogue didn't make things any better.
You couldn't go to the other side of the island without him making rude comments. Of course, they hurt you, but by now, you were pretty much used to it.
"Where are your little friends? After our last encounter, I thought they understood that letting you walk home all by yourself is not a good idea." Rafe grinned like a maniac.
"It gets boring, you know. Everything you can do is insult the Pogues and me. If you have something new, please let me know." You smiled at him, patting his chest.
You have always followed your instincts without hesitation. And right now, it felt right to pat Rafe's chest.
"Don't touch me with your dirty hands, Pogue." He hissed, turning around to leave.
You took a deep breath, not believing what you were about to do, "Rafe?"
After you called out his name, he turned around quickly, clearly annoyed, "What?"
"Who hurt you?" You asked carefully, to not make him even more upset. You knew it was a cliche moment, but you loved all this corny shit.
Rafe looked at you for a few seconds before he started to laugh. He was laughing directly in your face after you tried to be nice to him for once.
"I suggest you go back to your fucking side of the island and stop asking me shit." He said after calming down his laughter, his tone dangerously low.
"Come on, Rafe, you can tell me. I am actually a very good listener." You tried once again, wanting to help him.
He walked to you as fast as he could, "Listen, Pogue, I know what you are trying to do, and I can guarantee you, it won't work. Did your friends send you to me? Did they think I would go easy on you because you are known as the sunshine of the Cut?"
You quickly shook your head, "I just came from work, so it was a total coincidence that I met you."
The tension was so thick that it seemed like it could have been cut with a knife.
"Look, Rafe, you hate me, and I don't even know why. Everybody told me I was supposed to hate you as well, so I did it. I promise I am here to help you." You looked into his blue eyes, finding some sort of comfort in them.
Rafe Cameron was speechless. Never had anyone wanted to him, and now you, a Pogue, stood in front of him.
"You want to help me to get rid of my anger?" He asked, to which you nodded.
That was all Rafe needed to hear before he pressed his lips onto yours. Your eyes widen in disbelief, not expecting something like this.
"Now, I feel better." He smirked after pulling away.
"Why would you do that?" You raised your voice at him.
The answer was he didn't know it. He never thought about you in any sexual way, but the way you looked at him, he just had to corrupt you. And that's exactly what he did.
A year later
"Here," You smiled down at Rafe, handing him a glass of whisky.
He pulled you onto his lap, kissing you roughly, "Thank you, what would I do without my little ray of sunshine."
It was like he brainwashed you. You did everything for him, just like he wanted it all those years. He finally had someone who didn't say anything against the things he did. And he intended to keep it that way.

kiss me;
ivantill, 8.7k read on ao3
For a second he just stood there dumbly, eyes wide open. He heard a gasp from the side then a whispered, “I thought they weren’t actually supposed to kiss here?” Till hadn’t prepared himself for this, but he knew he couldn’t risk ruining the scene even more. Eyelashes fluttering, he closed his eyes and cupped Ivan’s face, kissing him back with fervor.
Till couldn’t believe what he’d just heard. Surely he had misheard, or maybe he hadn’t actually woken up this morning and he was still dreaming.
His manager looked as real as ever, though, staring at him with a hint of knowing amusement. He couldn’t stand her sometimes. (He loved her.)
“I thought you’d be excited,” she sighed dramatically, crossing her arms. “I guess maybe we should consider pulling out of the movie and – ”
His hand jerked out without his permission, fast as lightning, grabbing her arm. “Don’t even joke about that, Mizi.”
Her answering grin was all teeth. “They’ll want to do a chemistry read, first,” she put her hand over his. “Don’t get too excited. Nothing is guaranteed yet.”
For all they knew, he wouldn’t even get cast. Or if he did, maybe they’d kick Till off the project and replace him if their chemistry wasn’t promising enough. He really hoped it would be. But either way, he would be meeting him.
Till felt himself grinning before he could stop it, “I’m meeting Ivan.”
-
Till couldn’t recall the exact moment he discovered Ivan. To be fair, most people probably couldn’t. He was everywhere, it seemed – commercials, movies, television, even music videos.
What he could recall – as clear as if it’d happened yesterday – was the feeling he had felt. It was like a dam had opened and there was no stopping it. He realized he wanted more out of life.
He didn’t just want to continue being an extra on every set, the side-character who was killed off after one or two episodes.
Since then, he’d been able to build a decent name for himself. He wasn’t Ivan, by any means, but he was well-known enough to get the lead in an upcoming highly anticipated movie. And if the universe smiled upon him, just one last time, he would hopefully get to have Ivan as his love interest.
-
“I am running on exactly two hours of sleep, by the way.”
Mizi snorted, side-eyeing him. “I can tell,” she teased, and he knew it was just that: a joke but he still couldn’t help the sudden rush of insecurity.
As if sensing it by some form of magic, she slowed to a stop in the hallway and took his arm.
“You look great, Till. You haven’t even gotten makeup done yet and you still look amazing.” She squeezed his arm. “You’ve got this, you know that, right?”
He forced a smile. “Don’t you know confidence is my middle name?”
And usually it was true. If there was one thing he had over most of his competition in the industry, it was overflowing confidence.
Mizi smiled back, far more sincere. “Come on,” she said, tugging him along gently. “We don’t want to be late.”
-
Before the chemistry read, he went to get his makeup done as scheduled. Hyuna was no better than Mizi, grinning wildly as she gently applied a bit of concealer under his eyes.
“Let me guess,” she said, “didn’t sleep much?”
Till rolled his eyes, but made sure not to move. “I wonder if every actor has such a nosy makeup artist or is it just me?”
“Hmm, I would say you’re just lucky.” She winked and stepped back. “You look good enough to eat.”
He snorted. If he wasn’t so nervous underneath it all, he might’ve cracked a joke. Like how the only person he wanted to eat him was —
The door swung open, startling him. “Come on – ” he relaxed when he saw it was just Mizi. “We only have a few minutes.”
Quickly stumbling out of the chair, he rushed to her side and followed her into the hallway. As they walked toward the room set aside for their scheduled chemistry read, Mizi looked him up and down, not even trying to be discreet. Till made sure no one was around before quietly flipping her off.
Couldn’t tarnish his reputation and all that.
She giggled, light and airy. “I was just going to say,” she bumped their shoulders together, gentle, “you look good. Don’t let anything bring you down, okay?”
And he knew it wasn’t just empty words; Mizi had been there for him since the start of his career, long before he’d managed to actually make a name for himself. She’d been there with open arms (and an extra large pizza) every time he’d been turned down from a role, every time a casting director had scoffed like he was hilarious for even thinking he had a chance.
It had been hard, then, but motivating. He never wanted to be underestimated ever again. He thought he’d never feel so scared again, walking toward an audition room. It was a pointless fear. He had joked but surely they wouldn’t actually try to kick him out, even if the chemistry read wasn’t a success.
“Break a leg,” Mizi whispered just as they stopped in front of the door.
Till could hear voices through the wood. He concentrated and tried to see if he could pick out Ivan’s voice, in the sea of them, but he wasn’t sure if he could trust himself. He thought he heard him, a familiar drawl he had heard on television a million times, but he could’ve just been imagining it.
Mizi glanced at him, a silent question. He just nodded.
Without another word between them, she turned and opened the door.
-
Till didn’t even realize he’d been holding his breath as his eyes scanned the room: it was all the usual people – the casting director sat at the table with two other staff members on each side, a few other stray staff members were scattered around the room.
In the middle of all of them was Ivan.
He was smiling politely as others talked to him, a small quirk of his mouth. Till must’ve stared for a second too long because suddenly Ivan was lifting his head and their eyes met.
Till had seen him a hundred times, at least, through a screen but he wasn’t sure anything could’ve prepared him for this moment.
For seeing him, here, like this, in real life. Ivan was even more stunning in person.
Ivan’s smile stretched just a little wider, barely noticeable. Till should’ve smiled back but he felt like he was frozen.
“Okay,” the casting director – Luka – stood up from the table. “From what I’ve been told, this is your first time meeting, correct?”
Till didn’t even realize he was addressing them until Mizi gave a gentle nudge at his side. He flushed, standing a little taller. He might’ve been meeting his idol, for lack of a better word, but he was still a professional.
“Yes,” he answered, cursing the slight shake to his voice.
Ivan nodded. “I’ve seen him plenty, of course, but never met, no.”
Till felt a shiver down his spine. Ivan. Ivan had seen him before, too, which shouldn’t have been surprising. He had been on a number of notable series by now, but for some reason he still hadn’t been prepared to hear it.
“Wonderful,” Luka said, “Everyone – ” He did a little twirl with his finger, making a point to address everyone in the room. “Out.”
Till knew the process by now. Luka’s process, at least. He could be a little unorthodox. Usually he didn’t mind it, but right now he was already starting to feel sweat pool at the small of his back.
Mizi let out a tiny huff of amusement as she helped to herd everyone out of the room. Last to go was Luka, who didn’t even say a word before closing the door.
If Ivan was confused, he didn’t voice it. For a moment, the room was silent with just the two of them.
“Sorry,” Till said eventually, clearing his throat. He dared a glance in Ivan’s direction; he was standing just a few feet away, a thoughtful quirk to his head. “Luka can be a bit, uh. Unorthodox in his methods. He always likes to give actors a few minutes by themselves before starting the read.”
He was proud of himself; his voice was steady and clear.
Ivan hummed, but still didn’t say anything. Till took advantage of the moment to really look Ivan over. He was beautiful; dark hair swept back with a few loose strands, eyes lined with black – not too much, just enough to somehow make his dark eyes look even darker, his lips shined with a thin layer of gloss, skin clear and perfect.
The way his mouth was twisted, Till could even see his fang. Not literal, of course, it was just his canine – especially sharp and pronounced – but it had always been one of his selling points that fans seemed to like.
He looked like he was conjured up in a lab somehow.
And Till, well. He wasn’t naive. He knew he was attractive – wouldn’t have gotten this far in the industry if he wasn’t – but he felt lacking compared to Ivan, more than he had in a long time.
Without thinking, he reached up and ran his fingers through his hair, trying to tame it. But the wild look was part of his appeal, Hyuna had always said. Made him stand out.
“Are you going to keep staring at me or actually introduce yourself?”
Till startled, yanking his hand out of his hair hard enough he winced a little. He opened his mouth, ready to apologize, but then he saw Ivan was smiling. Barely, really, more like a smirk.
Clearing his throat, he wiped his hands off on his jeans in what he hoped was a discreet move (he was still sweating like crazy) and stepped forward. “Why should I introduce myself when you apparently already know my name?”
He froze as soon as the words were out of his mouth. He was so stupid.
This was Ivan – the Ivan – and here he was already messing everything up because he never quite knew when to shut his mouth. He waited, expecting the worst. He wouldn’t have even been surprised if he’d pushed him out of the way and stormed out of the room.
But instead Ivan did the complete opposite. He gave a little laugh, eyes crinkling just a little around the edges. Till felt something warm blossom in the pit of his stomach.
“I haven’t had someone talk to me like that in, well, ages.” His eyes were still sparkling when he finally stopped laughing. He extended a hand. Till moved quickly before he could think too hard and just make himself more nervous. Ivan’s hand was warm, smooth.
Till knew his own hands weren’t nearly as smooth, from playing guitar. It was just a hobby he had picked up on the side, nothing more, but his hands still suffered for it.
“You must play an instrument,” Ivan said, startling him. For a moment, he wondered if he’d accidentally spoken his thoughts but then Ivan tilted his head. “Guitar?”
Till swallowed around the lump in his throat; Ivan’s thumb gently moved over his knuckles, once, fleeting, before he was pulling away. Maybe he’d imagined it. “Yeah. Um. Just a hobby.”
“I would love to hear you play, if ever given the chance,” Ivan said. Normally, Till would’ve brushed it off as empty words but there was something oddly sincere about the way he said it.
He dropped his gaze, focusing on the collar of Ivan’s shirt. Anything to make sure he didn’t keep staring at his face. “Yeah. Sure.”
Before he – or Ivan – could say anything else, the door was opened without even a knock. Till spun around as Luka entered the room followed by the rest of the staff and finally Mizi alongside a woman he didn’t quite recognize. He wondered if she was part of staff and somehow he had just never noticed her until now.
That question was answered quickly when she went to Ivan’s side. “You’ve totally got this,” she said, hushed but just loud enough Till could hear.
He wondered if that was true. Didn’t want to get his hopes up.
“Okay, since I’ve given you both more than enough time to get acquainted.” Luka nodded at the scripts on the table. “Go ahead.”
Till forced his hand to not shake as he reached out and grabbed his version of the script; the part they’d be rehearsing, today, had been highlighted. It wasn’t too long. He just had to get through the scene without any mistakes.
He skimmed through it quickly, saw Ivan doing the same, even though they had both already read the script. Ivan, possibly only one or twice, but Till had read it nearing a dozen times.
So how did he manage to forget what happened at the end?
They didn’t kiss, not in this scene, but they almost did and that was enough to have Till suddenly rethinking everything. You’re a professional, he reminded himself, and tried to believe it.
He had certainly kissed plenty of people on set by now but admittedly he had never found any of them quite as alluring as Ivan.
Still, this was a chance to prove himself. He wouldn’t let that get in the way of doing his job properly.
“We don’t have all day,” Luka said, as impatient as ever.
Till resisted the urge to glare at him and simply set the script aside; it wasn’t frowned upon to read from the script during chemistry reads, of course, but he had the entire thing memorized already.
Ivan probably hadn’t been able to memorize it in such a short time but Till was surprised to find he set his script aside as well. He was always called an acting prodigy by media, the best the industry had seen in ages, and it seemed like it went beyond just a good performance on screen.
They both stepped closer to each other, waited until Luka gave the final nod.
All jokes aside, Till really was a professional. He felt like he was a different person when he got into character. Immediately he felt his eyes start to sting, his bottom lip tremble a little.
“You lied to me,” he said, voice thick with emotion.
It was surprisingly easy to look Ivan in the eyes all of a sudden. Ivan stared back just as intensely, reached for his hands. He held them, loose and gentle. “You know I didn’t have a choice.”
Till jerked his hands away. “But you promised me.”
“I know, I know,” Ivan’s eyes were glossy too, brimming with so much emotion Till had to remind himself they were acting. He couldn’t remember ever having to do that before. “But I need you to trust me, okay?”
Till swallowed. “I – I don’t know if I can,” he whispered, just loud enough for Luka and the others to hear.
Ivan frowned, looking thoughtful for a moment. “How can I convince you to trust me?”
He opened his mouth, closed it, cursed himself because – he’d fucking forgotten the line. How could he have forgotten the line? He dared a quick glance at Luka, who was watching him with slightly narrowed eyes.
He was so screwed. Ivan was definitely getting the role, no doubt, but not before Till was probably kicked off the project.
And now he was so nervous he was shaking a little, hopefully not enough to be noticed by Luka and the others but there was no hiding it from Ivan, as close as he was.
So much for being a professional.
Maybe it would be better just to get it over with and admit his mistake, take whatever consequences would follow, even if that meant being kicked off the project. Even if it meant not getting to work with Ivan.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, Ivan surged forward and kissed him.
For a second he just stood there dumbly, eyes wide open. He heard a gasp from the side then a whispered, “I thought they weren’t actually supposed to kiss here?”
The only thing that followed was silence, but Till knew the answer; he might’ve forgotten his line but he still remembered how the scene ended – Ivan’s hand on his neck, thumb stroking his jaw as he begged him for one more chance.
Not a kiss, but something close. The actual kiss came far later in the script.
Till hadn’t prepared himself for this, but he knew he couldn’t risk ruining the scene even more. Eyelashes fluttering, he closed his eyes and cupped Ivan’s face, kissing him back with fervor.
It was like something out of his wildest dreams but also not at all.
After a few seconds, he dared to open his eyes, surprised to find Ivan already staring back at him.
Suddenly Ivan was pulling away, turning toward Luka. “Sorry, I got a bit carried away.”
Till licked his lips, flushed when he realized what he’d done and quickly pursed his lips into a thin line to ignore the urge to do it again.
“Well,” Luka looked torn between amusement and annoyance, “I supposed you were going to kiss him eventually one way or another.”
Till blinked as the words settled. “Wait, you mean – ”
“Don’t get too excited,” he interrupted, already standing, “but you should be optimistic.” Weirdly, he said it while staring at Till like he was the one auditioning for the spot, not Ivan. There was no way he knew, right? Or maybe he was letting him know he was going to be kind enough to ignore his obvious mistake. “We’ll call you once we’ve discussed it and made a final decision.”
Till watched as Luka left with the staff, not even giving them a glance back. For once, he was thankful to be ignored.
Once they were gone, Mizi rushed to his side. “Are you okay?” she asked, side-eyeing Ivan skeptically.
He appreciated her concern, as always, but he was fine. If kissing strangers was an issue for him, he probably would’ve picked a different career path, but even those kisses were usually planned for and this wasn’t, which was jarring, yes, but he wasn’t upset.
Ivan’s manager was at his side, too, looking at him with disapproval. Till wondered how often he did unexpected stuff like that.
Finally he brushed her off and stepped forward, closer to Till. Mizi pursed her lips but didn’t intervene; she really was the perfect manager for him.
“I apologize,” he said, giving a slight bow. “I shouldn’t have done that without warning, but…”
He trailed off, and Mizi finally spoke, “But?”
But Till already knew the answer. Ivan smiled, but it wasn’t mean. “You forgot your line,” he said. It wasn’t a question. Mizi startled, glancing at the script still laid out on the table. “An honest mistake. I didn’t want you getting chided for it, and I thought it’d work as a good enough distraction.”
It certainly had. Till could still feel the press of his lips – plush, but just a little dry.
“You did that for Till?” Mizi asked, sounding skeptical. Till couldn’t blame her; people in the industry rarely looked out for each other like that, nevertheless strangers.
Ivan nodded, his smile growing just a little wider. “I guess you could say I’m intrigued.” He extended a hand and Till took a second too long to move, realizing his intent. Ivan squeezed his hand. “I look forward to working together.”
Till envied his confidence. Technically, nothing was confirmed yet. But even he knew it wasn’t up in the air. Luka just liked making people sweat.
“Me too,” he said.
-
“Did you see Ivan’s manager?” Mizi asked the next day. Shooting wouldn’t start for a few weeks but she came over often just to hang out.
Till blinked. “The girl with the, uh, blue hair and piercing stare?”
He didn’t miss the way her mouth twitched, forming a smile for only a second. “Yeah.”
Till had recognized that smile, however brief. He looked back to the television. “You should go for it.”
“Wh – what?” she stammered, nearly spilling their bowl of popcorn. “I don’t – I mean – ”
He grinned, side-eyeing her. “I always knew you were into the stoic types.”
“She wasn’t – ” Mizi pursed her lips, looking down. “When you two were doing the read, you know how we all left? Well, we talked some.” Her cheeks were flushed, nearly the same shade of her regularly-dyed hair. “She was nicer than you’d think, looking at her.”
Till wasn’t sure how much he believed her. Everyone was nice to Mizi. She was just that kind of person. You would have to be pure evil to be mean to her. “I trust your judgment,” he said instead, reaching out and squeezing her arm.
She peered at him from under her eyelashes. “But what if it complicates things? Especially when you’ll be working with Ivan for the next few months. And I mean, I don’t even know if she’s, you know.”
“And you’ll never know if you don’t ask,” he replied, making sure to soften his voice. “And don’t worry about me, okay? I can take care of my own shit.”
-
Till was confident. It was something Mizi always said she admired about him; he knew what he wanted, and he wasn’t afraid to work for it.
But he was also well-aware of his own shortcomings. He could be testy and impatient, and didn’t always take being corrected or criticized well.
“What if I say something wrong?” he whined, standing in front of the oversized mirror in his living room.
Mizi glanced up from her phone. “Then you – and I know this is an abstract concept to you – but you apologize.”
Till glared at her through the mirror. “And what if he says something wrong?”
“You wait it out,” she replied just as easily. “I mean, he seemed nice enough at the chemistry read.” She set her phone aside, seemingly done with it for now. “He didn’t have to help you like that.”
Till felt his cheeks grow warm just remembering the kiss. In the moment, he had been able to control himself, too caught up in making sure he didn’t ruin the scene more or – worse – lose his role. But now, looking back, he couldn’t quite believe he had kissed Ivan.
It was always going to happen, Luka was right, if Ivan got the role but somehow that didn’t make it any easier to believe.
And he had gotten the role; Luka had called him this morning with the good news. After that, Till had thought about texting Ivan, congratulating him. They had exchanged numbers for a reason.
But he couldn’t quite work up the guts to do it.
He must’ve waited too long because eventually a text had popped up on his own phone from ‘Ivan’. (He had debated adding a heart before realizing that was asking for trouble.)
“Since we’ll officially be working together,” it had read, “I would like to get to know each other better.”
Till had mulled over how to respond for so long he had eventually texted Mizi instead for help. With her help, he had responded back with a simple, “How about brunch?”
He still wasn’t sure people actually used the word brunch in real life but he had trusted Mizi more than himself in the moment, and either way it worked out because Ivan said yes.
He said yes with a little :) to be precise and Till felt like his heart was going to burst. He was playing a dangerous game, he knew, letting himself feed into this when they were coworkers, nothing else, but he couldn’t help it.
And Mizi was enabling it.
After their conversation, Mizi had invited herself over to help him get ready. Fair enough, because without Hyuna he wasn’t really too sure how to do much more than throw on a shirt and jeans.
She had helped him with some basic makeup – a bit of eyeliner and gloss – then picked out his outfit for him, which he still wasn’t sure about.
It was brunch, after all, but she had picked out a long-sleeved silky blue shirt and black jeans. He felt a little overdressed but she had assured him it was perfect.
“I should get going,” she announced, tearing him out of his downward spiral. She jumped off the couch and walked over, peering in the mirror alongside him. “You look hot.”
Till snorted, shaking his head. “I used to dream of you hearing you say that.”
And it was true; when they had first met, when his career was still new and fresh, he had immediately developed a crush on her. Now, he was glad they were just friends. Now, they were so close it didn’t even feel weird joking about it.
Mizi winked playfully and patted him on the back. “Just be yourself.”
That was what he was afraid of.
-
Mizi left after that, which was expected – it was only an hour until Ivan was set to arrive – but being alone didn’t help his nerves at all.
Nearly exactly on the dot, Till’s doorbell rang. Old-fashioned, really, because most people just texted when they arrived.
Smoothing his shirt down in the mirror, and reminding himself this wasn’t a date, he walked over and opened the door.
Thankfully, he hadn’t been the only one to get dressed up. Ivan wore a long-sleeved black shirt, tucked neatly into dark blue slacks. His hair was swept back out of his face; if he wore makeup, it wasn’t obvious enough for Till to be able to tell but either way he was as stunning as ever.
Till realized – belatedly – that he had just been staring at him without saying anything for at least a minute. Flushing, he stepped out of the way, a silent invitation inside.
Just as he opened his mouth to say something, anything, Ivan was saying, “I almost feel bad for what I’m about to suggest,” he smiled, small, “considering how good you look.”
Till blinked once, twice. “Oh. Um. What?”
Stupid. He was so stupid.
“You obviously got dressed up intending to go out,” Ivan continued, still smiling with a hint of amusement dancing in his dark eyes, “which I know we discussed, but…”
Till swallowed; why was his mouth so dry? “But?”
“But,” Ivan tilted his head a little. “I can’t speak for you, of course, but getting recognized in public is daunting.”
Till was suddenly reminded of their differences. He’d been recognized a few times, sure, but undoubtedly nothing compared to what Ivan went through. His face was plastered everywhere – billboards, magazines, commercials – so no wonder he was tired of getting recognized everywhere he went.
Even if you didn’t know Ivan, you’d at least seen his face. And most people can’t control themselves around a celebrity, regardless of personal interest.
“I understand,” he said finally, not sure what else to say.
Ivan smiled a bit wider. “So do you mind?” Till wasn’t quite sure what he was asking, but thankfully he continued before he could make a fool of himself. “I know it must also be daunting to have a stranger in your apartment.”
The dots connected quickly, suddenly. Till didn’t even have to think about the answer. “I don’t mind at all,” he said, but then, “I just – well.” Warm in the face, he gestured weakly at his kitchen. “I don’t have much.”
“No problem,” Ivan was already pulling out his phone. “We can just order something.”
-
That was how they ended up on his couch, shoes thrown off, eating a pizza. It was oddly comfortable, even though Till kept catching himself staring at Ivan’s mouth.
It was hard not to remember the kiss. It had just been part of the script, albeit a little early. Not to mention, Ivan had only done it to save him from making a complete fool of himself.
But it was still hard to forget, or brush off. After all, Till had admired him (and possibly had a crush on him) for so long. He never imagined just meeting him, nevertheless anything more.
“Do I have something on my face?”
Ivan’s seemingly innocent question was what finally drew him back to reality.
Till startled, nearly dropping his slice of pizza. It was starting to get cold anyway. “Um. No. I mean. Your face is fine.”
He winced at his own words, cursing himself internally.
Ivan smiled – no, that was a smirk. “I’m glad to hear you think my face is ‘fine’.”
“Well, I mean, I didn’t – your face is more than fine,” Till stammered, even as he cursed himself more with each word.
For a moment, there was silence and Till was sure he had finally properly screwed things up. But then Ivan threw his head back and started laughing hard enough he shook the couch a little.
Once he quieted down, he gazed at Till with a crooked smile. “You’re funny.”
Till flushed. “I’m sure you hear that kind of stuff all the time.”
“Mmm,” Ivan tilted his head back and forth. “Yeah, but people are usually a lot more suave about it.” When Till frowned, he nudged him with his foot. “That’s a good thing. I prefer when people don’t try so hard.”
Till couldn’t fight back a smile even if he tried. “Oh.”
“I was gonna suggest we do a readthrough of the script tonight but,” Ivan checked his phone. “It’s getting late.”
Till tried to hide his disappointment. He was surprised how much he’d enjoyed Ivan’s company. He had hoped he would, of course, but he was never sure how these things would go. Like mentioned, he didn’t always get along with people easily. And Ivan was, well, Ivan.
Famous, beautiful, rich. Till expected him to be a lot more conceited or snobby. Most of the famous people Till met were like that, after all, but not Ivan. He was sweet. A little odd, but wasn’t everyone?
“Are you free next Friday?” Ivan asked.
Till didn’t even have to think. If he had plans, he would just have to reschedule.
“Um, probably,” he said, aiming for casual and probably failing.
Ivan smiled again; he had one fang that Till was starting to think was unfairly adorable. “We can meet, then, go over the script.”
“Sounds good.” Amazing, actually, but he didn’t dare seem too eager, even though he was starting to think Ivan wouldn’t mind.
-
“Soooo,” Mizi slung herself over the couch ungracefully. “How did it go, hmm?”
Till snorted, pushing her out of the way to sit down. “I – ” His smile fell. Mizi was quick to adapt, sitting up properly. She had always been good at adapting to his moods. “I think I might be screwed.”
“What?” she leaned in closer. “Did he do something?”
Till appreciated her concern, as unfounded as it was. “No, he was… he was great, actually. We ate pizza and talked about a lot of nothing. He mentioned coming over next Friday so we can actually go over the script.”
“So… what’s wrong?” She was frowning, eyebrows drawn together in confusion. He couldn’t blame her.
He sighed, peering down at his hands folded together in his lap. “I think I could really like him, Mizi. Like… a lot.”
The thing was, he had never really liked someone before. He had certainly never dated. Beyond his short-lived crush on Mizi, passionate as it was, he had never even gotten the urge to date, or even do what a lot of other actors did and sleep around casually.
And now he was worried if he spent too much time with Ivan, that might change. Turn into something more than a crush from afar.
For a long moment, they were both silent. Finally, Mizi reached for his hands, cradling them gently.
“You are a really good person, Till.”
He rolled his eyes, an automatic response. She squeezed his hands harder.
“You always undervalue yourself, Till,” she continued, and he couldn’t look away from her determined gaze. “You act overconfident to make up for it, but I know you too well for that. You don’t know think someone like Ivan could ever like you but you fail to realize he’d be lucky to have you.”
He swallowed around the sudden lump in his throat. “I – ”
But she apparently wasn’t finished, “I met with Sua.” She paused for a moment, like she was realizing something. “Ivan’s manager,” she clarified. “We really hit it off. She cares for Ivan like I care for you, I think.”
He just nodded, unsure where this was going but happy for her either way.
“I probably shouldn’t say this, it isn’t my place but,” she smiled, small, “I will, because I think you need to hear it. Apparently Ivan can’t stop talking about you. Sua said he’s never been so interested in another person. She even asked me about you.” Her smile widened a bit. “I only said good things, of course. I knew she was just worried.”
Till couldn’t believe it. He had also never known Mizi to lie, especially about serious stuff.
“But I – I can’t,” he stammered, looking down at their hands. “Even if he was interested,” which was so hard to believe he almost felt like he was dreaming, “I can’t risk it.”
Mizi ducked her head, forcing her eyes to meet again. “Why not?”
“You know why,” he said, and he wasn’t even embarrassed that he sounded like a petulant child. “I would be risking the movie. If we had a fight or – or broke up, I don’t know if I could pretend like nothing happened.”
He was making a lot of assumptions anyway; assuming Ivan was interested in something more, when maybe he just wanted something casual or temporary. But still the details didn’t matter. Either way, Till knew he couldn’t go back to acting like only coworkers.
“Till, I know you care about this movie,” she smiled again but there was something sad about the curve of her mouth, pitying. “But sometimes life is about taking chances. You can’t just depend on your career for happiness forever.”
He wanted to argue because he couldn’t find the words. Mizi squeezed his hands even tighter. It was almost painful but also oddly comforting.
“What if you got a role a few years from now – your dream role – but then suddenly you were kicked off the cast.” Till waited, knowing she wasn’t finished. “You would be devastated, obviously, but you would be even more devastated if you had to go home to an empty apartment.”
Till licked his lips; when did they get so dry?
“Plenty of people are satisfied never having a partner. Dating.”
Mizi rolled her eyes. “I know that but I also know you’re not one of them, Till.”
She really did know him too well. “But we’re both famous, Mizi, and he’s – he’s a household name. If we dated, we couldn’t keep it from the public for too long. Someone would find out.”
“And that is something worth discussing,” she finally released his hands, choosing instead to squeeze his wrist. “With him.”
Till suddenly felt like crying. He didn’t, but his eyes burned. “What if we’re wrong? Even Sua?”
“Then you can come to me and cry it out.” She smiled, warm and sincere.
It was a decent enough backup plan. Without warning, he lunged forward and hugged her. “Have I said recently how you are the best manager in the world?”
“You don’t have to tell me, I already know.”
-
Till decided not to rush it, even if Mizi suggested texting Ivan and setting a closer date to see each other again.
When Friday finally rolled around, he felt like he was going to be sick.
He made a point to not dress up, just a pair of his usual jeans and a black t-shirt. If this was going to happen, he wanted to be sure it was because Ivan really liked him. Not because he thought he looked good enough to settle for.
A few minutes after 12, his doorbell rang.
Brushing by the mirror without looking, he opened the door. Ivan had apparently had the same thought; he looked as gorgeous as last time, obviously, but he was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans too with a thin jacket. His hair also wasn’t slicked back, hanging loosely around his face.
He also had a bag, probably to carry around the script and whatever else he might need.
Like last time, they ordered food and ended up on the couch. This time, however, they had the scripts. Till noticed a ton of highlighted parts in Ivan’s copy; maybe he shouldn’t have assumed he just had a natural gift for memorizing things. He had obviously worked just as hard.
For a while, they just rehearsed through the easy parts. Didn’t bother acting any of the parts out just yet.
Most of that stuff – gestures, movements – would be changed before they actually started filming anyway so Till didn’t usually worry about it, just focused on the actual dialogue.
But then they flipped the page and Till saw it: the scene where they kissed. The actual scene.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. When Till finally chanced a look up, he noticed Ivan was already looking at him.
“Do you usually practice these parts?” Ivan asked.
Till tried to decipher his voice, his expression, but it was all perfectly neutral.
“Sometimes,” he answered, because it was true. “Makes it less awkward later.” But other actors preferred keeping any kissing strictly in front of the camera. Till didn’t really have a preference.
Ivan hummed thoughtfully. “Well then, I’m up for it, if you are.”
He could almost hear Mizi in his head, telling him he shouldn’t do this. He should confess, first, otherwise it wasn’t fair. To him or Ivan. And he would confess tonight. He had already made that decision but…
Couldn’t he be just a little selfish first?
“Sure.” Understatement of the century.
Collecting their scripts, Till set them aside on the coffee table and was relieved when Ivan made the first move to scoot closer. He still couldn’t quite read his face, perfectly blank.
“Let me know if you want to stop,” Ivan said, a hand already reaching out and settling on Till’s neck, warm and heavy.
Till was pretty sure Ivan could’ve done anything to him in that moment and he still wouldn’t have asked him to stop, but he appreciated the sentiment.
Not trusting his voice, Till just gave a tiny nod and that seemed to be enough for Ivan. He leaned forward, slowly, like he was giving Till the chance to stop him if he wanted to.
He didn’t.
Finally their lips touched, just a gentle press. Ivan’s lips were even softer than he remembered, warmer too. The script didn’t detail the kiss; that would be decided later with help from the director but – Till supposed Ivan was preparing for everything as he tilted his head, pressing their lips together with a bit more fervor.
Hardly complaining, Till kissed back, scooting a little closer. That should’ve been it. Given the scene, it was doubtful the kiss was going to be anything more than this.
But Ivan didn’t pull away, and Till wasn’t going to be the first to end it.
Opening his eyes, he finally wasn’t surprised for once to find Ivan already staring back at him. What was difference, however, was the look in his eyes. Intense, but somehow warm.
Till felt a shiver down his spine and decided this was it. Words had never been his specialty. Moving quickly, he shifted up onto his knees and swung a leg over Ivan to settle on the other side, kissing him the entire time.
Only once he was settled, straddling him, did he finally pull back. “Is this okay?”
Ivan’s eyes were always dark, nearly black, but this was something else. “Depends,” he replied, low but steady. He lifted his hands, placing them on Till’s hips. “Is this okay?”
Instead of replying with words, Till just leaned in and kissed him again. This kiss was immediately different from the first, filthy and almost aggressive. Ivan bit at his bottom lip, just the edge of too hard, and Till let out a sound in the back of his throat that was outright embarrassing.
He only pulled back for air when he absolutely had to, panting a little to catch his breath. Ivan’s eyes were half-lidded; he somehow looked the best he ever had. Till swallowed. This was his chance.
“I have something to confess,” he forced the words out before he could reconsider.
Ivan blinked, once, almost immediately looking more alert. “What?” His hands shifted on his hips but didn’t pull away. “Do you want to stop?”
“Quite literally the opposite,” he replied, feeling nearly delirious. This was it. “I know this is – probably not what you want at all, and I’m probably reading too much into everything, and – and I know this could get in the way of the movie, I’m not an idiot, but I think I would really regret not saying it.”
Ivan squeezed his hips, then, and it was enough to make him feel a little more grounded. “You’re kind of scaring me here, Till.”
He stared at Ivan for a moment, appreciating every detail of his face, before he took a deep breath, “I think I could end up liking you.” He paused, letting the words settle properly in the silence between them. “A lot.”
Till wasn’t sure what he was expecting. The silence lingered so long he was starting to feel an ache in his chest.
Without a word, he went to move off Ivan’s lap but his hands tightened around his waist. “Stay,” he said, the softest Till had ever heard his voice.
“You don’t have to try and – and placate me,” Till stammered, but he didn’t try to move again. “I’m not gonna be mad at you for not feeling the same way.”
Ivan opened his mouth, closed it. Till watched his face flicker through about ten different emotions before suddenly he was kissing him again, hard and messy. Till gasped into his mouth, surprised – confused – but hardly disappointed.
He curled his fingers in Ivan’s hair, eyelashes fluttering. He could do this forever. He also knew he needed a real answer.
He deserved that.
Mustering all his courage, he pulled back. Ivan stared up at him with a newfound intensity. He forced himself to speak around the lump in his throat, “I’ve admired you for a long time. I know that might not be – appealing, in this context. But I don’t think that has anything to do with what I’ve felt since we met.”
Ivan continued to stare at him. Till gulped.
“You’re just not what I expected,” he paused. “In a really good way, and I’ve never done this before. Not just with another actor. Or, uh, coworker. I mean, like at all.”
The corner of Ivan’s mouth started to quirk up. “You’re cute.”
“Oh.” Till flushed. “Thank you?”
Ivan let out a soft laugh; gently, he moved Till off him. Under different circumstances, he might’ve overthought what that meant but Ivan was still smiling, warm and small.
“Are you asking me out, Till?” he asked, not even trying to hide the mirth in his eyes.
He supposed he was, in a way. “I mean, that’s – that’s assuming a lot. I just, I wanted to let you know. I didn’t – ” He hadn’t expected anything, he meant to say, but he suddenly stopped, finally connecting the dots. “Wait. Does that mean – ?”
Ivan leaned against the back of the couch, watching him with that same sparkle in his eyes. “I liked you the second I set my eyes on you,” the confession felt like igniting fire in Till’s very core. “I wasn’t sure why, at first. I’d never felt that way before, and we barely knew each other.”
Till didn’t dare speak; he didn’t trust his voice anyway.
“But you’re… different,” Ivan hummed. “I can’t quite put my finger on it.” He smiled, that fang poking out again. Till wanted to feel it against his lip again. “And frankly, I don’t really care to.”
He paused, reaching out. Till didn’t even think twice, moving as if commanded by something out of his control. Ivan held his hand gently, thumb pressing into his knuckles, not hard but comforting. Grounding, like he somehow knew Till felt a little untethered.
“But I’m assuming you know by now I can’t promise you this won’t get out. Even when you’re surrounded by people you think you can trust, it’s not quite true in our line of work, is it?”
Till had already went over this in his head. “I don’t mind. I think it’s worth the risk.”
“We should at least keep it between us,” Ivan said softly, and Till wasn’t sure yet what he was going to say next. If he wanted to keep this hidden because he was ashamed or embarrassed to be seen with him. But then – “Just until the movie is done shooting. I don’t want them to project or assume anything just because we’re together.”
Till nodded. “I agree,” he said, meaning it. It was the smart move. “And if anything happens, if this doesn’t work, I need us to be on the same page.”
“I hope we won’t have to worry about that,” Ivan replied, “but the fact you even want to discuss it...” He smiled again, almost approvingly. Till didn’t want to admit how much that did for his confidence. “I promise you won’t have anything to worry about from my end. I could even give you something to use against me, if it would give you peace of mind.”
Till let out a sudden laugh, surprised by the odd offer. But just as Ivan kept saying he was different, he was starting to think Ivan’s oddness was what had really captivated him. “I’ll just have to take your word for it,” he said, still smiling.
-
They never ended up having to worry about. Months later, when the movie was wrapping up, they all celebrated by having dinner at Ivan’s house. The place had always been beautiful, from the very first time Till had seen it, but now it felt more like a proper home.
Pictures lined the walls that used to be empty, mostly of the two of them, but some were just of Till. He complained about them, sometimes, embarrassed but secretly he liked it.
Some were of all of them – Ivan, arms wrapped around Till. Mizi and Sua, heads tilted together.
Till was pretty sure he had died and gone to heaven. Or maybe he just should’ve been more hopeful when he was younger because sometimes he still struggled to believe this was real.
Sitting at the table, Ivan on his left and Mizi on his right, he wondered what he had done to end up lucky enough to have met both of them.
Or maybe Ivan was right, as he always liked to say: “You deserve good things, Till.”
Till still remembered the first time he’d said it when they were laid out in his bed. He had kissed Till’s forehead and he had suddenly felt the urge to cry, eyes burning.
Maybe, just maybe, he was finally starting to believe it.
“Can you believe they still haven’t figured it out?” Mizi was saying, giggling around the rim of her wine glass. “’How is their chemistry so good?’” she said, repeating what the director had said earlier.
Till hadn’t really heard him. He’d been too busy kissing Ivan with as much fervor as he kissed him every night. He supposed there were benefits, actually, to dating your costar.
Sua smiled at her side. “You can’t blame him. I’m surprised they were actually able to keep it hidden until the end of filming.”
Till chanced a glance at Ivan, who was already staring back at him. He smiled. Ivan smiled back, giving a nod.
“About that, actually,” Till cleared his throat. “We are planning to disclose that we’re dating. Not how long, obviously, but… we thought it might make things easier, especially since Ivan can’t stop complaining about wanting to take me places and not being able to.”
Mizi smiled, shifting to take Sua’s hand where it was resting atop the table.
“We’re happy for you.” She glanced at Ivan. “Both of you.”
-
At the end of the night, Till was surprised to have Mizi pull him away from Ivan’s side. She walked them to the edge of the porch, grasping his hands tightly in her own.
“I know this is going to be cheesy and you’ll hate every second of it,” she said, “but I just really need to say it.”
Till tilted his head with a confused smile.
“I used to worry about you.” She squeezed his hands tighter. “You always acted like you were fine on your own but I just – I could tell you had so much love to give and for a while I almost felt guilty, turning you down.”
Till tensed, already opening his mouth, but she continued, “I know you never wanted me to, and you never did anything to make me feel that. I promise. It was just – normal concern for a friend, okay?”
She gently shook their hands, smiling now. “But now I see you with Ivan and… Till, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so happy.”
He couldn’t fight the smile off his own face, small and sincere. He stared down at their hands. “I – ” He paused, swallowed around the lump in his throat. He hadn’t even said this to Ivan, yet, but somehow it felt right. Saying it, now, to Mizi first. “I think I love him.”
For a long moment, there was silence. When he finally glanced up, Mizi wasn’t looking at him. She was staring over his shoulder, eyes a little wide, and –
He dropped her hands and spun around. Ivan stood there, frozen with his hand in the air like he had just been about to tap his shoulder. Mizi squeaked and scooted past them, rushing to join Sua at the other end of the porch.
“I was going to ask if you were cold,” Ivan said, dropping his hand. It was chilly out, middle of autumn now, and Ivan knew he ran cold. The simple but sweet gesture made his heart feel like it was going to burst out of his chest.
Till just nodded, not trusting his voice. Ivan shucked off his jacket and moved to wrap it around his frame.
“I didn’t want you hear that,” Till said finally, clutching the jacket to keep it from falling. “I was going to tell you soon. Just needed the right moment. I know it’s probably too soon or I don’t know, I don’t really know how to gauge these things – ”
Ivan moved, smooth but fast, wrapping an arm around his waist and drawing him in close enough to tip their foreheads together. If he remembered they still had company present, he didn’t seem phased by it. “I don’t believe in there being a right time for anything,” he breathed softly. “I love you, Till.”
He smiled so big he knew his cheeks were going to hurt later. He didn’t care. Happiness was worth it. “Good,” he said before cupping both sides of Ivan’s face and kissing him.
It reminded him a lot of their first kiss but this time the roles were reversed. Ivan seemed surprised for just a second before he smiled against his lips, tugging him even closer.
When they separated, Till was breathless. He wasn’t complaining.
“I hate to say this,” he let out a shaky laugh, still catching his breath, “but I think we need to send a thank you card or something.”
Ivan raised an eyebrow, searching his face. “To who?”
“I’ll tell you later,” he replied before moving in to kiss him again. He heard Sua’s groan from across the porch. Ivan laughed against his mouth.
-
A week before they left for their first vacation, just a couple days after the news of them dating had hit the media, Till went to the store and picked out a card. It was the vaguest card he could find in the store, just a simple “thank you” with a smiley face on the front. He signed it just as simply – Ivan and Till – and left it like that. He trusted Luka to figure it out.

idk if you're still writing the post-cemetry scene fic with pining eddie (idk if i'm describing it right) but i would love to hear more about it/see a snippet or too if you feel so inclined 👀
someone asking about angsty pining fic in the month of our lord april 2024? this was such a lovely surprise 😭 i'm gonna be honest with u anon i'm likely not going to publish 911 fic again BUT because you asked so nicely i'll give you a few older snippets from my draft:
Eddie sighs, breaking the stare. “You have a key, you know,” he says finally. “Feel free to come join me whenever you want.” He turns on his heel and walks back inside to finish his goddamn brownies, leaving Buck standing in the doorway.  It’s silent for a few minutes. He’s in the middle of measuring a tablespoon of espresso powder when Buck steps into the kitchen and shuts the door behind him. Eddie feels the weight of Buck’s gaze on him as he folds the powder into his brownie mixture, but he doesn’t turn to meet his eye until Buck speaks.  “Is that…” Buck falters. He clears his throat. “Is that my recipe?”  “Yeah,” Eddie says gruffly. “Chris asked me to make it. Said he wanted to share it with his friends when they come over tomorrow for their playdate.”  Buck snorts. “Man, you can’t call it that. Chris nearly bit my head off last time I tried. Kept reminding me that ‘playdates are for kids, Buck,’ and that he’s not a kid anymore.”  Buck emphasizes that last bit with air quotes, and Eddie can’t help but grin at that. But his smile fades instantly, remembering the somber look on Buck’s face when he’d opened the door. He highly doubts that Buck came over just to commiserate about the trials and tribulations of watching Christopher grow up.  Eddie bites the bullet. “Why are you here, Buck?”  Buck shifts nervously. He shrugs and looks away from Eddie. “I — I don’t know what to say. I don’t know how to answer that. You’ve never asked me that before.”  Eddie scrubs at his face. “I've never had to ask you that, Buck. Things are different now. You’ve been busy.”
+
“Wow,” Buck says acidly, all traces of heartbreak gone. “I’ve never heard that one before.”  Eddie frowns. “What?”  “Really, Eddie?” Buck’s voice cracks on the last syllable. He shakes his head. “Unbelievable. Just — unbelievable.” “Buck — what are you talking about?”  “We were just trying to protect you, Evan," Buck mocks. "You were never supposed to find out. We kept it from you because we love you. Any of that sound familiar to you?” Eddie’s breath hitches on the word love, because he doesn’t know, he can’t know, but then —  Oh.  Fuck.
+
Buck: We’ll get through this just like everything else. I promise. It’ll be okay.  Buck: Eddie, did you eat enough today? Should I come by and bring you some food? Buck: You know you’re still my best friend, right? That’s never going to change, Eddie. Never.  He reacts with a thumbs up or a tap-back heart on most of the messages, too exhausted to do anything else. He replies with a thumbs down to the message about food, certain that he wouldn’t be able to handle seeing Buck so soon. He knows he’ll have to face him in person eventually, but his tired, broken heart just wants to postpone it as much as he can.  The last one, though, is a balm that both soothes and agitates Eddie’s burning, aching heart, and he taps out a brief, Thank you, you too. Always, in response. It feels like too much and not enough all at once, and Eddie wishes once again that he was a little better at resisting Buck, that he didn’t feel that need to reply to his every message lest Buck worry even more about him. The only one he actually acknowledges is a message that comes in at 2:43 AM on Sunday. As he opens the message, Eddie absentmindedly wonders if Buck’s having a hard time falling asleep for the same reason as him. Probably.  It’s a link to a new exhibit at the Griffith Observatory, accompanied by a text that reads: Can I take Christopher here next weekend? Eddie squeezes back tears as he replies with a brief, Of course, and puts his phone down, letting the darkness swallow him again.
+
Hen beats him to it. “What happened, Buck? I thought you really liked her. Weren’t you planning to introduce her to Maddie and Chimney next week?”  “Not anymore,” Buck mutters. “I broke up with her.”  “What?” Eddie snaps head snaps up. “Why?”  Buck doesn’t meet his gaze, his lip quivering. The rest of their team is watching them, eyes darting back and forth, and Buck blinks hesitantly before swallowing down a sip of coffee. He wipes the cream off of his upper lip and looks Eddie in the eye.  “You know why,” Buck whispers.

Hemisi hugged herself worriedly as her parents approached her. Ganondorf wasn't entirely sure what was bothering his daughter - things had been tense since the attack, but he had just ensured peace by swearing fealty to Rauru. This was supposed to be a moment of reprieve, a time for his family to not worry as he prepared for the future.
"Honey, what's wrong?" Nabooru asked before he could.
"I haven't found Link," Hemisi said, her voice anxious. "I've been looking everywhere for him. The guards won't really tell me much."
Ganondorf fel this ire rise. The guards likely were trying to protect Link, but they had no right to refuse information to the princess of the Gerudo. Such a slight would not be ignored. Not to mention he too wanted to know where the boy was.
"Leave this to me," he said crisply, walking away.
It didn't take much time (or threatening glares) to get what he needed. Link, apparently, was on a place called Thunderhead Island, one of the Zonai lands in the sky.
"Thunderhead Island?" Nabooru repeated after Ganondorf reported back. "We'd need a construct to get us up there, right?"
"Yeah," Hemisi answered. "Link's told me about the islands lots of times. Not many are allowed on them - it's usually just the royal family and the Sheikah."
"They'll allow me," Ganondorf rumbled, crossing his arms. "I am a king."
"Yes, but that island is also fairly volatile," Nabooru argued. "I'm better with lightning magic. I should go."
Personally, Ganondorf was far more inclined to go retrieve the boy himself, but he didn't contest the matter. Nabooru seemed rather set on the issue, and some things weren't worth arguing with her. As much as he admired her determination, he also knew she would fight him for so long that Hemisi would probably just sneak off to do the deed herself, and neither parent wanted that. The girl's abilities with lightning were formidable, but she would likely cause trouble if she went alone.
"Very well," he conceded. "We'll be waiting down here."
Nodding, Nabooru grabbed a cloak and headed towards the nearest construct. At activated at her approach, acknowledging in a mechanically musical chime, "May I help you?"
"I need to get to Thunderhead Island," Nabooru said.
The construct's reply was quick as ever. "That place is restricted."
"I am the queen of the Gerudo," Nabooru replied. "I have special access."
The construct paused a moment, processing, before noting, "I will need authorization for you to go there."
"This is an emergency," Nabooru argued. "You can speak to King Rauru about it afterwards if you please, I don't care, but one of my family is up there and I need to find him."
Although the construct was programmed to gate keep, she also knew giving a sense of urgency or danger would override its usual algorithm. Predictably, the construct questioned, "Is someone in danger?"
"I don't know," she answered honestly. "That's what I'm trying to find out."
The Zonai machine was silent for a moment before giving an admission. "This line of logic is acceptable. I will transport you to Thunderhead Island and report the matter to King Rauru."
"You do that," she sighed. It didn't really matter of Rauru knew. Nabooru wasn't exactly keen on causing a stir within hours of Ganondorf swearing his loyalty, especially given their history, but something Hemisi's anxiety and Link's very obvious disappearance was definitely concerning. Considering the ceremony that had just happened and the celebration that had followed, Link should have been one of the first people they saw.
The construct extended its hand in front of a stone circle, and the familiar green hue of Zonai technology activated, glowing in the circle's center. Nabooru stepped forward, letting it transport her, closing her eyes as her world shifted. The air grew much colder, even more frigid than she was expecting, and she suddenly felt a little short of breath. Goddess, she'd thought the Highlands were chilly. Why was the air so much stranger here? She was shocked into opening her eyes as her cloak was immediately bombarded by a wave of rain, thunder rumbling all around her. A circular fountain of water was in front of her, surrounded by stone architecture. She walked forward, off the platform on the ground that had received her. She needed to set to work soon, already feeling a little lightheaded.
A few steps ahead it became apparent that this island wasn't just an island, but an entire chain of them. Nabooru glanced around hesitantly, looking for some kind of Zonai device to help transport her from place to place, and found none. What was Link doing here? Where was he?
Nabooru looked between pillars, on and under benches, until she'd thoroughly searched the island she was on and the few she could see. But a flash of blonde caught her attention just as she was starting to wonder if Ganondorf had been wrong, and she squinted against the rainfall to see a teenager sitting on the ground, knees tucked into his chest, wearing the attire of the palace guards combined with a headdress and Gerudo earrings gifted to him by his betrothed.
Clamping her jaw shut against the tremors that tried to make her teeth chatter, Nabooru wrapped herself more tightly in her cloak, she found a set of stairs that at least connected to this little island, moving quickly down them. Link, for whatever reason, chose to sit outside a small building, ignoring a construct nearby that was tending to a tree. The boy was soaked to the bone, red skin paint that usually adorned his exposed arm having long been washed away from his tan complexion. His red eyes were dull, hidden under platinum blonde plaits plastered to his forehead. The sparkling splendor of the Gerudo headband and earrings was dulled considerably, and his top knot was half undone in the rain.
"Link," Nabooru called a little loudly so she could be heard. "What are you doing out here?"
Link didn't seem to react all that much, or at least it wasn't apparent in this awful weather. But she heard him mutter, "You're not supposed to be here."
"Nor should you be here," Nabooru accused mildly, walking towards him. She paused short of reaching him, seeing him clam up even more. "News of our arrival has been known for at least a week. Yet on the day that Ganondorf creates peace between the Gerudo and Hyrule, you hide from us? Hemisi's been looking for you."
"Ganondorf attacked Hyrule." Link's words were sharp, dark. He was clearly still upset about the molduga assault.
Nabooru sighed. This really wasn't the place to be having this discussion - she was freezing and dizzy, and if he got any more soaked the boy would practically be a Zora. "Yes. He did. You know him, sweetheart. He likes to test his boundaries before he concedes to them. But he's conceded."
Link tucked his chin to his chest, looking away.
"Honey, the fight is over," Nabooru pressed on, stepping closer to him. "And for the first time, the Gerudo now have an alliance with Hyrule. We're a part of it - this would mean you and Hemisi don't have to hide your relationship from the public eye anymore, that there is nothing to hide anymore. This is a joyous occasion, not a reason to be moping in the rain. Come down with me so you can be with your family, love."
She finally cleared the distance between them, crouching down and putting a hand on his shoulder. Link glared moodily at the lands below, eye lashes dripping with moisture. Quietly, almost to himself, he said, "Ganondorf never concedes."
"Well, he did," Nabooru emphasized slowly. Link had not been included in the discussion of their attack on Hyrule, had been completely blindsided as Ganondorf had suggested he and Hemisi play and explore near the mines that day so they wouldn't be involved. Nabooru knew that as a member of the Sheikah tribe he would likely take it harder than most Hyrulians, but she hadn't expected quite the grudge he seemed to be holding. "Come on, love. You're freezing."
Lightning struck a small spire at the top of the building they were sitting near, making Nabooru straighten up and prepare for another strike. Thunder clapped so loudly it made her chest vibrate. Link sighed, slowly pushing to his feet. He must have been sitting for some time, swaying a little unsteadily, and Nabooru put a hand on his shoulder, pulling him inside the structure. Constructs were indoors, stoking a fire, and she approached one. "Can you take us back to the Royal Plateau?"
The little machine beeped in the affirmative, guiding them to a hover platform that sent them back to the originating island. Nabooru's hands were on Link's shoulders the entire time, feeling them tremble under her, and she pulled him close so they could share her cloak. His skin was ice cold, making her inhale sharply a little when he brushed against her exposed arms and abdomen. A headache was brewing in her forehead, and she was certainly ready to leave this dreary place.
When the pair teleported back, Ganondorf and Hemisi were there waiting for them.
"Link!" Hemisi exclaimed, rushing forward and dragging him into a hug. "You idiot, why are you soaking wet?! Where've you been?!"
"Hon, can you spare your robe?" Nabooru asked, still holding the boy to her.
Her husband complied without question, pulling off his dark outer robe and holding it out. The parents exchanged Link, one set of arms to the other, and the boy was wrapped up and held against Ganondorf quickly. He didn't argue, he didn't protest, he didn't speak as Hemisi bombarded him with questions. The king and queen exchanged a look, and the family moved towards their provided quarters in the palace.
Eventually, Link started to speak softly to his betrothed, seeming less agitated with her, and soon the two were both cuddling under Ganondorf's large garment. Nabooru moved to fetch servants so they could get him fresh clothes and some warm food, and Hemisi moved quickly to the task as well, saying she was going to grab towels.
That left Ganondorf and Link.
"So were you up there sulking the entire time since the assault?" Ganondorf finally said, getting to the point as he knelt down to the boy's eye level.
"No." Link's reply wasn't quite snappish, but it was certainly sharp, though not nearly as sharp as his eyes. Ganondorf smiled at the fire in them, the anger and force of will that refused to bow down to anything. "Just for your arrival."
"If you thought we wouldn't find you, you clearly don't know us as well as you should," Ganondorf noted with mild humor, pulling the robe over the boy's head to dry his hair. He carefully removed the pins and tie holding the top knot, tucking them into a pouch on his belt. Link didn't protest, though his gaze did drift to the floor, softening, showing the wound he'd been bearing in his heart. Ganondorf felt... more than a little exasperated, but he'd known the boy would be upset. Still... "Hold whatever grudge you wish against me, child, but do not share your ire with Hemisi. She didn't know about the attack. I suggested you two be near the mines that day for a reason."
Link sighed heavily, closing his eyes.
"The fighting is over," Ganondorf emphasized, putting weight in his voice to end this pointless adolescent moping. Then he smiled. "And now the world can know your place in our family."
The boy glanced up, hope shimmering in crimson orbs, tempered by an intelligence he often hid behind innocence and silence. "Why did you do it?"
"Why did I attack?"
"No. Why did you give up?"
"I don't give up," Ganondorf retorted a little irritatedly, pausing his ministrations.
"I know," Link immediately acknowledge firmly. "So why? You don't acknowledge defeat."
"Oh, Link," Ganondorf hummed with gentle amusement, proud of the boy's insight. He was going to make a good prince. But it would make the next months a little difficult if the king wasn't careful. "A strong warrior refuses to give up, but a wise one knows when he is defeated. I am both. It's pointless to fight a force you cannot win against."
Link still looked skeptical, confused. Ganondorf added, "How else could we build peace for you and Hemisi?"
His words seemed to catch the boy off guard. For a moment, Ganondorf really wondered if Link didn't actually think they cared, despite having spent over a year being welcomed into the family. For a moment, the king wondered if the boy really was that dull, or somehow he and his wife hadn't done something right. And then Link bit his lip, shivering, and hugged himself, clearly trying to contain emotion and not quite succeeding.
Ganondorf sighed, letting the boy be vulnerable for a moment. He pulled him close, and Link sank into the embrace, curled in against his chest.
Link would be a good prince. Ganondorf knew this. He just needed to hone the boy a little more, reassure him and teach him, let him enjoy his time with Hemisi. A war was brewing soon. It was best to enjoy this time while he could.

"Come on Gavi, run faster. They're behind you." Coach Alex yelled over to the young boy. He was right, he lost the ball, again.
Gavi turned around while shaking his head, he hasn't played a good pass in a week, what's up with him?
"Guys, we'll stop the training for now. I have some announcements to make." Alex yelled over the whole field and Gavi waited for Ansu so they could walk back together.
He jogged over to Gavi and then they turned around while they started to walk to the bench.
"What do you think this is about?" Gavi asked Ansu, curiously, maybe he knew the answer.
"Nah, man no idea." He shrugged his shoulder and Gavi didn't say anything else and as they all looked at Alex, he asked them to sit down.
So they did, they all sat down on the grass and then saw you walk over to Alex. you said hi to him and Alex looked at his watch.
"You're on time!" He laughed as he looked at you.
"Of course I am, I'm never late." You chuckled and looked at the youngsters sitting on the grass.
You scanned every single face trying to keep them apart, boys in this young age all looked alike.
"So, guys, as you all know, I'll give up my career as a coach." Alex began and Gavi and Ansu looked at eachother. "So I would like to interduce your new coach. I think she wants to interduce herself tho, so the stage is yours." Alex said and you stepped forward a bit. You felt their eyes piercing holes into your body.
"Hey, as you guys already know, I'll be your new coach. My name is Y/n, but please just call me Y/n/n and I'm looking forward to the new season ahead of us and I'm excited to train with you guys!" You said and Gavi looked at you, you were wearing a tight Barcelona shirt with even tighter shorts.
Even looking at you made Gavi feel a way that he wasn't supposed to feel towards his coach.
"Are there any question towards Y/n?" Alex looked around but they all shook their head, except for Eric.
"Can you tell us about yourself, a bit further into detail?" He asked but Gavi shook his head as he scoffed.
"Um yeah sure. I'll sit down too and then we're gonna get to know eachother a bit better." You said and sat down, before you did, you looked at Alex quickly.
"I'll get going, I'll leave you guys alone. Bye." Alex waved at them as he left and then all the eyes were on you again.
"So, ask away!" You held up you hands in the air and of course Eric asked the first question.
"How old are you?" He asked and you couldn't help but to smile a bit.
"Hold on, I'm 18. I just realized that I don't even know you guys names. So please tell me, can you start?" You laughed a bit and pointed at Angel who was pretty much sitting next to you.
Gavi looked at every single one of your movements carefully, afraid to even close his eyes because he'll miss something.
"I'm Angel." He started and so did everyone else say their names. After you heard them all, you went back to the question.
"Do you have a boyfriend and whats his name?" Julio asked and you smiled again.
"Yes I do and his name is Lucio." You kept on smiling as you answered all of the questions they had for you. The team talked to you like you were a friend of them and that's one thing everyone liked about you, you were easy to be friends with.
"How is it possible that a woman is training us?" Ansu then asked because he was a bit confused.
"Because, I don't know, I signed up for this job and got accepted. It just happens." You said and it made many of them laugh. Gavi kept smiling at you as everyone around him went quiet, and then Gavi had another question.
"Where do you come from?" The 16 year old brunette asked and you raised your brows a bit.
"I'm from here, I grew up in Barcelona and my dad is also friends with Xavi, the guy who used to play for the first team. I'm sure everyone here knows him right?" You looked around and as you already said, everyone agreed.
You kept talking for a little while before you told the team to go back to playing, however, since Gavis team was missing one player you decided to play too. You played as a defender and you gave some pretty good passes.
Gavi looked at you, concentrating on your movements.
You weren't a bad player overall, Gavi guessed that you got bored one time and dribbled past all the opposite teams players.
Everyone laughed about that but the only thing Gavi could focus on was your body. Gavi may be going through puberty right now but that isn't normally like this. Normally it's that not that bad that he has the urge to jerk off everytime I look at her.
Being 16 is hell, and having this woman around is even more hell. "Gavi, you still have to play." You yelled at him and he suddenly snapped back from his thoughts. He realized that he was staring at you the whole time. Fuck.
Lucky for him, you didn't notice that his eyes were all over your body.
"Come on." You clapped your hands together and Gavi took the ball and ran with it, he dribbled past of some of his friends and then passed the ball to Ansu and he scored.
Gavi celebrated with him and then looked back at you. You gave him a quick thumbs up and then the game went on.
After training was over you called the team together one last time. They all sat down in a circle again while you were standing up.
"So, I just wanted to give you guys a little warning. I like to get along with you guys and make jokes and whatever but it won't be this nice next time. Because when I'm nice people don't do what I say. I hope you guys understand that." You smiled while rubbing your hands together.
Nobody said anything so you asked again. "So is it fine for everyone if we keep being friends besides from practice?" You asked and everyone nodded or said yes.
You then smiled and then clapped your hands together. "Okay, guys you did amazing thanks so much for this awesome first practice and see you guys tomorrow, I think at the game, right?" You looked around, searching for someone nodding their head.
"Yeah at the game" Eric said and you nodded with a smile on her face.
"Alex will be your coach and that's his last game as a coach so win it okay?" You told them and looked at their faces.
"Okay, have a nice night" They all stood up and dabbed you up, then Gavi walked over to Fermin.
"Hey, so what do you think of her?" Fermin asked and Gavi looked at him.
"Can I be honest bro?" Gavi leaned closer to him while he whispered.
"Yeah, please." He also leaned closer to him.
"She's stupidly hot." Gavi said in all honesty and Fermin smiled at him, he pushed him back a bit and then turned to look at Ansu.
"Ay Ansu, guess what Gavi told me." Fermin yelled out to Ansu who was walking behind the two boys to the locker rooms.
"Oooh what?" Ansu came went to them, running.
"Nothing, shut the fuck up" Gavi hit the back of Fermins head and then walked off with a straight face. He went into the locker room and went straight to the shower.
He quickly got changed afterwards and then went into my room again. "Brother." He said exhaused as he let himself fall on the bed. Gavi was still annoyed by Fermin, that didn't change a bit, but he was too exhausted to even think about him.
Gavi then looked at the clock and saw that it was around 10pm. He quickly went to brush his teeth and then got changed. Fermin came back eventually and he went to his bed immediately.
"Are you still upset?" Fermin looked at the 16 year old in front of him, however, Gavi shook his head as he sat down in front of him.
"I'm not, don't worry, just if I tell you stuff don't tell that any to other people." Gavi took off his shirt because he wanted to wear another one.
Fermins eyes scanned his upper body as he was still smiling about Gavis comment.
"Ay bro you're getting buff." Fermin smiled as he looked at Gavi's stomach.
"Right?" he smiled while flexing his abs and Fermin laughed. He then took out a loose barcelona shirt and pulled it over his head.
"Okay bro I'll go to sleep. Night" Fermin gave him a look and then I walked back to my bed too.
"Night." Gavi mumbled and turned the lights off.
-
"Gavi," Fermin woke him up and Gavi opened his eyes almost it cu w ntog face after being almost immediately. A shocked expression could be seen on the brunettes face after woken up by his bestfriend.
"Yeah?" He asked with a raspy morning voice. He looked at Fermin and he chuckled.
"Today is the game, get up, Alex and Y/n want to talk to us." He shook Gavi's body with his hand again and then Gavi finally sat up.
"Hey, can I come in?" They both heard you
knock on the door and Fermin looked at Gavi. He was only wearing his boxers but he as covered with a blanket up to hiels waist. He looked back at the door and then yelled
"Yeah, come in" He said and then you opened the door almost immediately. You walked inside and stopped before Gavi and Fermin. Your gaze shifted from him to the floor, you looked down on the floor and saw a phone down there. You bent down to pick it up and then handed it to Gavi. As Gavi grabbed the phone he didn't break eye contact
"You guys get ready, be downstairs in the community room 3 in 15 minutes. Hurry up, get out of bed." You said and walked off again. Gavi's only thoughts however were: Fuck, he can't get out of bed now.
"I'Il get going, I'll see you downstairs." Fermin flashed him a look and Gavi nodded in response, thank god he was leaving, so he doesn't have to see how hard Gavi is by you just bending over.
"Okay" Gavi mumbled and then as soon as the blonde walked out the door Gavi went to lock it immediately and sat back into his bed. He grabbed some tissues and then pulled down his boxers.
''Gavi, on the spot." You smiled as soon as you saw him sit down and the boy just nodded. If only you knew what he had been doing.
Everyone else was already there, watching Alex and you standing in the front of the room.
Nobody was talking, they were all waiting for the two of you to give instructions.
"Thank you everyone for coming, and sorry for waking you guys up so early." Alex began "Today is match day, we're gonna go eat together and then you have three hours of spare time. Then be downstairs at the main door because we'll be going with a bus. Y/n is also coming with us is that right?" Alex leaned to look at you but you just shook your head.
"I'Il be there but I won't be on the bus, it's not sure tho. I might be." You said and Gavi looked at
Fermin who was smiling at him. Gavi wasn't quite as amused as Fermin since he was going pretty much on his nerves. "If I can't be on the bus out of whatever reason Y/n will be there, that's for sure. So, does anyone have any questions left?" Alex clapped his hands together as they all shook their heads. "Good, see you guys later."
'You ready?" Ansu went over to Gavi and
stubbed his arm slightly with his elbow.
"Always." Gavi smiled back at Ansu as they went in first and walked to the very back of the bus.
To their surprise, You were sitting there, you had her legs crossed while you were looking at your phone, no idea that Gavi and Ansu were staring at you.
"Hey" Ansu said and sat down, he left an empty space next to you which Gavi gathered rather quickly.
'Hello, fit and ready?" You looked at the both of them and then at Fermin too who sat down next to Ansu. Since you were sitting at the very edge of the round sofa, Gavi was the only person sitting next to you. However as he was gifted with the warmth of your body, he had a very bad view of you since he had to twist his neck every time.
You then looked at Diego who sat down in front of you, on the other end of the sofa. "Are you ready too?" You asked to include him too and he nodded a bit
Diego had a crush on you, atleast that's what went around under the boys during breakfast. Diego told Angel and Angel told everyone, although Diego is the one to blame. Eveybody knows that nobody shouldn't tell secrets to Angel, he can't keep a damn thing to himself.
"Oh he sure is excited" Ansu laughed but Fermin just looked at Gavi, again. What the heck is he looking at now. Those were Gavi's only thoughts as he looked back at his blonde teammate. Getting just more and more annoyed with him.
Gavi looked at you, he couldn't notice but that you kind of seemed confused. "Why are you saying that?" You asked as you looked at Ansu with a small smile. Ansu's smile only grew while.Gavi was betting that Diego just wanted to disappear into thin air.
"Oh, nothing" Ansu burst out laughing and then put his forehead on Fermins shoulder.
"Okay." You said and then went back to your phone again. You were texting the whole ride, the guy named Lucio, Gavi guessed.
He took some glances at you while you weren't looking and damn. Lucio must he lucky in Gavis opinion. He however would have never admitted that he had a crush on her, he basically didn't either. It was just that you looked really pretty in Gavis eyes.
"Okay, I think we're here." You stood up as soor as the bus came to a halt. Gavi however had some trouble keeping his eyes to himself.
As you stood up and began making your way down the corridor of the bus to the exit your hips swayed side to side. Although you didnt want it to seem like too much Gavi could have sworn his mouth started to water as soon as his jaw dropped Gavi was fighting himself to disappear to do some...things.
''Gavi come on" Fermin grabbed the young boys shoulder and pulled him up as they left the bus.
They were standing in front of their famous Stadium and Gavi's eyss caught you walking over to a man.
He opened his arms for you and you immediately went in to hug him. The worst part about that was, that you looked up at him to kiss him too. It wasn't bad for you, but for Gavi who was watching this whole scene unfold.
He felt his jaw clench and his fists balled up next to his legs as the young brunette looked at you and your boyfriend. Something inside of him was rumbling and falling over. If Gavi would have known what, he would have done something against it.
But before he could have punched that dickhead next to you, Pau Cubarsi walked over to him and wrapped his arm around his shoulder.
"Ay Hermano, let's go Alex is already inside with the others. Cubarsi pointed to the door where the locker rooms were and Gavi teared his eyes off of you and your boyfriend.
So as the two youngsters went inside, you and your boyfriend followed only seconds after. "Who was that guy who was staring at me?" Your boyfriend asked.
"I don't know, I didn't see anyone staring at you." You responded in a whisper while you shrugged your shoulders. You didn't think about it as much as you should have because Gavi heard what your boyfriend told you and made a mental note to himself to be more careful next time.
He couldn't stand the thought of you being close to another men, or just you being touched by other men drove him crazy. He didn't know what he felt but he was confused for sure.

bet my heart, part 7

"You're distracted," Jake informs me as the band stops. I knew it. He knew it. We all knew I was distracted. This sound check was going to shit, and we all knew it.
"Thank you for that captain obvious," I roll my eyes at him.
"We can take a break," Damien offers. I shake my head, we couldn't. We needed to get the sound check done, and I needed to know that my show tonight wasn't going to be an absolute shit show. I didn't have high hopes for either one of those things to be successful.
"Let's just run it one more time," I say.
"Sage," Jake says. I glance over towards him, and he has an all-knowing look on his face.
"Okay, five minutes," I agree. I put my mic down and I'm off the stage in a matter of seconds. I hear footsteps behind me and I assume it's Jake. He's in front of me before I realize it, and he comes to a stop so I can't keep going.
"What's going on with you? Is it Quinn?" He asks. I raise an eyebrow, he knew it was Quinn, he just wanted me to give him the confirmation of his assumptions. "Fine, I know it's Quinn, what's going on?" He asks.
"I don't know," I answer honestly. He raises an eyebrow at me this time, waiting for me to elaborate. "I don't know what's going on between us, we have a lot to talk about and I have to wait for him to get here in a couple of days," I explain.
"Oh, so you two are finally going to admit you're in love with each other?" He asks. Apparently, I must have some weird look on my face because his next words are, "Don't look at me like that, we all know you're in love with him, and he's in love with you, the only two people who don't realize it are you and Quinn, it's sad really." My mouth opens, but I don't say anything just stare at him. "Just take five, breathe, do what you need to do, but just know that everyone knows that man is in love with you it's sad," That's all he says before leaving and I'm assuming going back to the stage. I spend the next five minutes with my back pressed against a wall, eyes closed, and trying to get my shit together so I can make it through this sound check and concert.
My mind is still racing when I walk back onto the stage and pick up my microphone.
"You good?" Damien asks. I nod my head, even if I wasn't, I could fake it.
"Can we switch it up for sound check guys?" I ask them.
"What song?" Jake asks.
"Let's do an old one, one that I gave to someone else, Friends Don't," I suggest. I had written the song a couple of years ago, and it didn't fit the vibe I had going on in my music so it got sold to another artist, however, the song was about my not-so-friend-like relationship with Quinton.
Miraculously I make it through our soundcheck song, shocking for everyone. What's even more shocking is when I leave the stage, Quinn is standing there, staring at me. He wasn't supposed to get in until late tonight, so I'm confused as to why I'm looking at him right now.
"I thought you're plane landed at like midnight? I ask him. That's what leaves my mouth instead of hi.
"It was supposed to, but I was going insane so I rearranged my schedule, and here I am," He lifts a shoulder, it's a half-shrug. He was here, we could talk, I needed this conversation to happen. I take a step closer to him and then Lucy appears out of nowhere.
"Hair, makeup, clothes," she says. I glance at Quinn, I'm sure the desperation for this conversation is showing in my eyes.
"Go, do your job, I'll be here whenever you're done," he says, a small smile on his face. I force a nod and follow Lucy down the hall, tossing one last glance back at Quinn.

down the rabbit hole
rated: G
the spell was supposed to be simple. a simple spell that was to protect your home and transport any negativity away from your home. but after you chanted the last spell for it, you heard rumbling that grew louder. your dog, luna, whined as she darted closer to you and the rumbling increased.
“shit. how are we getting an earthquake?” you ask yourself out loud, not thinking anything of the shaking yet. that is until the ground started to fall away from your feet. your eyes widen as you see a maroon ground and desolate surroundings. your feet glued to where you were as you tried to run and pull luna with you, but to no avail. your scream echoed as you and luna fell through the portal and landed on the ground. your breath knocked from your lungs as luna landed on top of you. you look at her and the around you, seeing a city, but more conveniently a large building that showed it was the “hazbin hotel”. you blinked and murmured to luna to keep close by as she whined and followed you.
shakily making it up to the door, you hesitated for a moment, anxiety clutching in your chest as you froze. a soft lick on your hand pulling you out of your paralysis as you look at luna and sigh.
“okay, girl. i just have to knock right?” you ask, posing your hand to do so, when the door suddenly opens.
“well, hello there-“ the voice is cut off as you scream, startled and step back. luna takes this as whoever was there as a threat and lunges. your mind catches up to your body as you scream at her to heel. not before a very high pitched scream comes from whoever opened the door and they fall back. you, holding luna, look at the… man? deer? person. he was on the ground and his arms in front of his face, subtly shaking.
“i am so sorry. that was my fault. you startled me and she thought i was in danger.” you explain as you tell luna to sit and stay, and you walk over to help the red deer man up. he glares up at you, looking like he was going to have some snarky comment, when his eyes widen.
“where are you from?” he asks, getting up himself and brushing off his coat like nothing happened. you blink for a moment, and straighten up.
“i’m from california?” you answer, framing it more like a question. his glare is unamused as he stands up straight.
“no, where are you from, what ring? you don’t look hell born.” he says, his eyes narrowing in distrust.
“i-um-i don’t know how to answer that. i’m from earth. i guess? i’m a witch, and i did a spell and i think it went wrong. where am i, actually?” you ask.
“oh yer in hell toots.” a voice comes down the stairs. “charlie we got a new one!” the white spider yells up the stairs, still consumed on their phone. you blink.
“is everyone animals down here?” you ask, but before you can get an answer, a woman with blonde hair bounds down excitedly.
“oh another guest! are you ready to be-“ her eyes widen looking at you. “redeemed?” she trails off, her face scrunching in confusion.
“are you an angel?” another woman, who is next to the blonde asks. you blink owlishly at them.
“i mean, i’ve had compliments before, but if i look that much like an angel, thank you?” you say and the woman shakes her head.
“no, you’re an angel.” her face distorting into anger as she pulls out a spear. “why are you here?” she yells as you back up. luna jumping in front of you and growling. everyone takes a step back at that.
“oh my fuck. is that a dog?” the white spider demon asks, and walking up to luna. luna’s growls deepen and you tell her to heel again.
“be nice.” you mutter to her as she whines and sniffs the spider demons outstretched hand. deeming him a worthy friend, goes over and sits in front of them for pets. “you can pet her. she’s fine.” you say, looking at the spider demon and smiling.
“i haven’t pet a dog in almost 80 years…” he trailed off.
“that’s a dog? from earth?” the blonde squeals and goes over, mimicking the way the spider demon introduced himself and then petting luna too.
“so, let me get this straight… i’m in hell?” you ask. the red deer nods, standing far away from luna.
“yes. you are in hell. but why don’t you look like demon spawn is beyond me.” he provides.
“probably because i didn’t die.” you conclude. “im assuming you all were born here or died and ended up here, right.” there were murmurs of agreement.
“except vaggie,” the blonde points to the spear wielding girl, “she’s a fallen angel.” you nod.
“heaven that bad?” you ask.
“you have no idea.” she deadpans.
“so, i apologize if this is rude, but who are you all?” you ask.
“oh my goodness! i don’t introduce myself!” the blonde exclaims getting up and rushing over to you. “i’m charlie! charlie morningstar. and this is the hazbin hotel. a place where sinners can be rehabilitated and go to heaven.” your eye brows raise at that.
“morningstar, as in lucifer morningstar?” you ask, a bit shocked.
“that’s the very one!” she exclaims.
“how is he? he’s felt a bit off recently, and hasn’t liked the offerings i’ve put out.” you ask as charlie looks at you confused.
“you know my dad?” her head tilted in confusion.
“well, not really. i work with him, in my practice. i’m a witch.” you explain.
“oh, like alastor!” charlie says, making a connection. you look over to where she pointed at the red deer demon, alastor you assumed.
“i don’t think she deals in my magic, charlie.” alastor explains.
“what is your magic?” you ask, curious.
“partially voodoo.” he looks at you and smiles.
“oh, goodness no. my family doesn’t practice voodoo, and that is a closed practice i respect. but more power to ya man!” you say, nodding at him. he tilts his head at you curiously and you look over at luna now on her back and the spider demon rubbing her stomach.
“if you rub her chest to her stomach in one fell swoop, she’ll be your best friend.” you laugh as the spider demon looks at you, does that and watches as luna’s tail wags quicker. he laughs and does it again.
“oh my god, i’m in love.” he says, petting her ears.
“that’s angel.” charlie explains. you smile and nod, until a new person descends the stairs and calls out for charlie.
“charlie, sweetie!” the voice says, getting louder coming down the stairs. “you don’t happen to know where my hat is, do you?” you look curiously at the man, who is barely taller than you, his eyes fixed on his jacket not looking up.
“ummm… no, dad. also. i want you to meet…” charlie looks at you. “i never asked your name.”
“oh! it’s y/n. it’s a pleasure to actually meet you in the flesh lord lucifer.” you say, bowing your head slightly. he stops and looks at you, looking taken aback.
“you didn’t die y/n, why are you down here?” he says coming over to you and grasping your arms.
“i was doing that protection spell for the house and i think i fucked it up.” you say, a bit downtrodden.
“don’t be so hard on yourself, sweetie. we all make mistakes and luckily i can get you back up to earth.” he says, smiling at you.
“thank you. it’s a wonder to actually meet you. i was worried, you hadn’t liked many of my offerings.” you said and he looked bashful.
“how do you guys know each other?” charlie asks.
“well, i work with lucifer in my practice, like i said before.” you say.
“she’s a witch charlie. there are many different types of witches, but there are some who have the gifts to communicate with beings outside of earth, or choose to honor certain beings through what earth calls offerings. they can be food, trinkets, etc.” lucifer continued to explain.
“they’re a form of devotion. and there are many different types of relationships you can have. i work with your dad for help with my spell work, i’ve been working with him for almost 10 years now. not so long to him, but a long time to me.” you finish.
“i had no idea…” charlie explained.
“that’s why i said about the offerings and your dad not liking them. i can normally get a vibe.” you laugh. “maybe i need to put more apples?” you ask, chuckling. lucifer chuckling with you.
“nah, just put a damn rubbah duck.” angel says, still petting luna. “he loves ‘em!” you look to lucifer and he shrugs.
“i do like ducks.” he bows his head, bashfully.
“noted.” you say as you walk over to angel and luna, sitting with them. you smile at angel and pet luna’s head and sigh.
“so, how do i get outta here?” you ask, looking at lucifer.
“how about ya nevah leave and luna stays here. she’d love fat nuggets!” angel exclaims.
“fat nuggets?” you ask.
“my pet pig. sweetest little doll eva.” angel says, leaning to you like he was telling you a secret. you smile and coo at that.
“i’m going to need to get an asmodeon crystal from lust and then i will be back. stay here until i get back all right?” lucifer said, materializing a portal and getting ready to step through it. you salute him in understanding and he disappears.
“that means we’ve got more time to talk and i’ve got more time to let this dog!” angel exclaims, laying down next to luna who was fast asleep now. you laugh and look around.
“it seems i do.”

Thoughts | Thomato
part 1
A/N: This is my first fic, so please be gentle. It's very short, I hope to get you guys opinion on this
warning: tickle (duh)
words: 436
Thoma didn’t know what he was feeling. I mean, he knew it, but was tried to reject the butterflies he felt everytime his master needed his help.
At first, he thought maybe it was just because he had never dated anyone before, but he realized maybe it wasn't simple like that. His mind were just 'Ayato, Ayato, Ayato. '
Was it maybe a kink......? No, he never had those thoughts with Ayaka.
Whatever was it, It was getting a bit out of hand.
Ayato was working, as always, in his room since it was near bedtime. Thoma was cleaning, per usual, but he couldn't help the glaze to his master, 'why's he so handsome? no, more than that, he's absolutely stunning...If I could tackle him down, I would use his feather pen to trace over his muscular body. He would squirm at the tinglish feeling .T-thoma...." and call my name.'
.....
'WHAT
Now, what are you thinking of your own master Thoma? He gave you everything and unlike the other 'masters' he speaks to you with a gentle voice and treats you so well. If you ever tried to tickle him, he would never forgive you, you sinner.'
"Thoma?" Ayato cut his thoughts
"Yes, master?!" He promptly answered as his heartbeat increased a bit more.
"I was wondering if you could help me with this..." Ayato pointed at the pile of papers near him as he knew Thoma didn’t have much knowledge in politics.
"Of course!" The man quietly sat down near his master and began to organize the papers.
'That scared me, just if Master Ayato could read my thoughts. .. I don't know if I would be more or less embarrassed by not speaking with words. But look at him again. His handwriting is perfect, I don't even have much to do in here.
Hm....? what is this'
Ayato was now hugging Thoma from behind and his hands traveling the servant sensitive torso as he said
"Thoma, I noticed"
What????? what did he notice? "Y-yes?"
"You were staring at me. What were you thinking?"
"N-n nothing master, p-please" DID 'MASTER NOTICE I WAS HAVING DIRTY THOUGHTS?'
"Oh really, I think you're not being sincere to me." '??!!!'
Now, It really began. Ayato used his short fingernails to send electric ticklish shocks through Thoma's stomach and torso. Everything was happening so quickly that he didn't even have time to try and catch Ayato's hands.
'Why is master tickling me, why he's so good at this too?' Thoma had so many questions with no answer at all.
"M-mahahaster plehehease dohont" Thoma cried
"Please don't what, tickle you? But you're not being a good boy, don't you think that's a good punishment?" he asked as he continued the assault now moving to Thoma's sides."NAHahaHA I'm SOHOHrRY"
"If you're sorry, tell me the truth," the tickle stopped.
Thoma was breathing heavily and using the time to try and formulate the right words. 'What am I supposed to say?'

what was with cameron house md she spends 90% of the episode saying she wants their patient to die bc he's a genocidal dictator and her colleague husband says "babe it bothers me for ethical reasons that you want our patient to die :(" and she said "hm maybe you're right :/" but when it comes down to it the genocidal dictator lays a finger on her in an aggressive manner and chase instantly commits medical malpractice to murder the guy and then when he tells her she LEAVES HIM bc boo hoo he's a murderer now like GIRL he killed a man for you!!! he's wracked with catholic guilt!!! he's being crushed beneath the weight of his sins because he chose his devotion to you over his devotion to god!!! he literally could not get any sexier at this moment in time!!!
