in a parallel world...

Jocelyn runs away with Johnathan after actually witnessing the death of Valentine, he grows up with her and Clary and despite the demon blood he's mostly human and a great brother. They both go to the mortal school and attend the institute. so they're friends with Simon and they know the Lightwoods since ever. Jace was known as Stephen's son and Imogen wants him to grow up in Idris, but when he is 18 he goes to NY and he meets Clary. they immediately fall in love

Simon grows up knowing about the shadow world and he becomes a shadowhunter at 14 so he and Clary can become parabatai when they're young, they were never a couple and he's the biggest fan of Clace. he's in love with Isabelle since he can remember but he's to afraid to admit it, until she's fed up and tells him she feels the same

before Jace's arrival the gang (Simon, Clary, Izzy and Johnathan) was always together and looking for troubles, like every teenager, and they always went to Magnus' parties. Alec always refused to go, but one day his sister calls him to come and pick them up (completely drunk) and he meets Magnus. the rest is history

since Sebastian never existed, neither Andrew Blackthorn nor Emma's parents were killed (because luckily they have a meeting with Andrew THAT morning), so Emma and Julian grow up together in LA, they want to become parabatais but at 14 they realize they're actually in love and they can live they're beautiful love story without any burden

at 18 Mark has to investigate a mistery for the Clave (=the strange deaths Emma investigates in TDA, there's a leak that the Unseelie Court is involved) and he takes part of the Wild Hunt and meets Kieran. they don't become a couple, since Mark is undercover and knows what he can and can't do, but they fall in love anyway. once Mark goes back to LA, after what he thinks it's been 6 months, it's actually 3 years (nobody looked for him because how different the time flows), he meets Cristina, there for her year abroad. Kieran runs away from the Wild Hunt for Mark, but he's protected from the Unseelie King and the Wild Hunt because he helped solving the mistery. again, the rest is history

Sizzy headcanons?

after simon lost his memory, izzy got a tattoo. yeah she'd probably had too much to drink that night, but she just missed him. missed simon, felt his absence in a way she never would have thought possible before him. and her options at that point were to push those memories aside, to forget the way he forgot her, or to remember twice as hard for both of them. so she made a memory of theirs permanent, a record on her skin.

the tattoo was a simple two dots just about an inch apart on her neck. a reminder of their connection, of when her blood coursed through his veins, of how perfectly they'd fit together. it was a permanent mark on her skin that wasn't a rune, but in a way it was. because weren't runes marks that made you a better version of yourself? wasn't simon once something like that for her?

among all the runes and scars, these two freckle-sized dots were easy to miss. but that didn't stop her from covering them with make-up after simon came back into their lives again. it was a lot. it was too much. it was embarrassing for izzy, to have been so obviously caught up on some boy--some boy who didn't have a single recollection of her. and she knew it would have been overwhelming for simon too. too much, all at once. so she covered them. again and again.

after simon rejected her during his time at the academy, all she wanted to do was scrub them from her skin. she'd rub at them when she missed him, and she'd glare at them in the mirror when she was getting dressed. but she knew too well how permanent runes worked.

but eventually, impossibly, things worked in their favor again. and simon was on top of her again. and they'd messed around enough that her makeup had smudged and simon touched his calloused fingers softly against her neck and his eyes were filled with curiosity and recognition and awe and regret and love and.. and izzy couldn't take it. she's not a crier. she makes a point of not being so soft and vulnerable to let anything touch her deep enough to spring tears. but it was different with simon. her love for him, and their journey to get back to this point, had worn down so much of that barrier. still she was mad at the few tears as they escaped from her eyes.

simon kissed her neck, where he'd bitten her in another lifetime. he kissed the tear from her cheek. he didn't need to apologize for not being the simon from before, because he knew by now that isabelle loved simon, no matter which experiences had changed him since the last time he'd had a claim over his own memories. but he says i love you, and it's an apology anyway, for not being there, for leaving her. he says i love you, and it's a promise, that he'll never make her regret that tattoo again. he says i love you and it's an i love you. and it's real. because he's back and he's here to stay and this memory she had sewn into her skin is theirs again.

dude i would love to see sizzy with a black cat specifically. why? great question.. maybe it has something to do with their reputation being so different from their actual demeanor. or maybe something about them being ostracized. or maybe something about their mythical, magical ties .. plus, we don't have a black cat in tsc?? which should be remedied tbh

idk how much longer yossarian will last, but i think it would make sense for simon to leave him with his mom, even though he is technically simon's, just bc he already left him there for two years while he was at the academy, and i think he'd feel bad taking his mom's last companion yk? and i can see him missing having a cat around.

while izzy was fond of church, i don't think she'd view it as such a priority herself, but when simon suggests getting a cat, she's all for it hehe or maybe she even gets one for him as a present <3

also, along the lines of us never having a black cat.. we've also never had a girl cat?? so maybe they get a girl cat, and maybe they name their little princess amidala or something hehe

Ok but saphael as parents?

Raphael is definitely the responsible one. He knows the baby routine like the back of his hand. He’s never been anything less than 5 minutes early to every parent teacher meeting. All the pta moms bow down because he is the champion of bake sales. (Janice’s brick-like brownies could never)

Then there’s Simon.

(Maybe Raphael is raising two kids at once lol.) Simon works really long hours so he doesn’t get to spend as much time with his family as he’d like.. but his pride as a father is the fact that he gets back home everyday just in time for the bedtime story. (He also doesn’t trust Raphael to tell a good story for even a second. he loves him but man’s gotta get better at doing the voices). When their child turned seven, Simon got a promotion at work. This meant that he could work fewer hours for a higher pay and Simon almost cried. (Jk it’s Simon he balled his eyes out on Raphaels shoulders for a good few hours) The first time their kid sees Simon at the school gates ready to pick them up, they run into his arms in excitement and Simon was crying on raphs shoulders again when they got home.

Simons the dad that can help with homework, if you dont mind sitting through a 15 minute lecture about idk pelicans or something. Raphael can’t do math for shit, so he’s glad Simon took over before they hit the algebra years.

The first time their kid gets into a fight. (This is Raphaels kid, it was inevitable) Simon is busy laser scanning them to search for injuries to notice the pride in Raphaels face when they say “Daddy, I’m fine! If anything you should see the other guy.” It’s a good thing too because if he did notice, Raphael would be sleeping out on the porch.

simon and izzy always try to cook together every night

i know what you’re thinking “nero, izzy can’t cook, that’s like one of the first things we learn about her," but hear me out.

isabelle once expressed to simon that she wanted for them to take turns cooking each other dinner, because she didn’t think it was fair for him to cook for them both

so simon proposed that they cook together and that he will teach her how to cook some of her favourite meals while he makes them

it started off with izzy just being left to cut up vegetables (you would think a girl who geeks out about weapons would know her way around a kitchen knife? wrong.), but soon enough, she began to improve and was even trusted to supervise things that were simmering over the stove

what simon discovered later on, was that izzy managed to navigate her way around youtube and listened to cooking tutorials while she was training.

she also went to a few night cooking classes when she said she was going on a night patrol

so, on valentine’s day, simon walks into the institute to find isabelle dishing up a meal she cooked all by herself

and it was actually… edible. slightly too much pepper, but nothing major.

now, they just upkeep the tradition of cooking together, because it lets them settle down after a long day of shadow hunting.

it’s their time of the day that they share. they both complain when it comes time to eat, because why can’t they just order takeout? but they both secretly think it’s the highlight of their day <3

I have this headcanon that Simon definitely has craft room. It's mainly Legos and figurines but occasionally if he finds like a star wars puzzle or something he'll put that together too.

He keeps it secret from Izzy because he thinks she would make fun of it.

One day she gets curious and goes into the room. Simon comes home to see the door open.

He sees Izzy on the floor having a panic attack and the lego death star he's been working on for weeks in pieces. He asks her what's going on and she just says "I CAN'T FIND THE LAST FUCKING G4 PIECE."

They have a conversation about keeping secrets and respecting privacy. As they're about to leave the room Simon asks her if she thinks it's lame.

She tells him she thinks it's sexy and drags him to the table where the remains of the death star is. She throws everything off the table, destroying what was left of the project. Simon doesn't mind.
