What does the Batcave look like, and is Bruce scary in his batsuit.
The BatCave, in my universe, is this basically gigantic basement under Wayne Manor. Sorry I suck at explaining stuff but imma try.
So basically there are SEVERAL ways into the basement/BatCave. There’s the way behind the clock in one of the living rooms, there’s an elevator with a secret code that you have to put in, what we call the “road” way in which is basically the road that they use to drive the Batmobile out of, as there’s a separate secret storage place for other things like the plane and etc. there’s several ways. And depending on which way your coming in at, the way you enter the cave, it’s looks a bit different. The elevator is what I tend to use cause cause it’s more convenient tbh. It’s awesome cause I can push a button to take me to the fourth floor or the Batcave (after you put in the code). Idk how they did that but it’s super helpful. Anyways: here’s the best way I can describe it.
You use the elevator, you go down, and it opens up at the ground floor. The ground floor is vast and is always a bit dirty. To a good bit of ways to the right, there is a gigantic monitor screen and several few much smaller ones to either side of the big one. There is a chair with wheels on it in front of that one. There is also several monitors on one desk somewhat near that whole monitor section, with its own wheeled chair that Tim likes to use.. It’s usually messy area. But it’s near the monitor, sometimes they move it. The gigantic sets of monitor are kind of against the wall/under this overhead like section. To the far left of Tim’s station/monitor is the set of stairs leading up to the section. That overhead like section is basically a walkway where the glass cases for special suits used to be (they’re all empty right now) and leads from the clock way into the cave.
Then to the left of the elevator way in, is like gigantic space. There’s a like almost make-shifted rooms/open doorway room. Uncle Bruce usually keeps artifacts, files, hard drives, evidence, spare uniforms, and weapons in that room. On the other side of the cave, more towards the stairs (near the monitor) is some exercise equipment and an like a locker room without lockers. That room does have a bathroom room. But the room itself isn’t as large as the room with Uncle Bruce’s artifacts and stuff. It’s used to change in.
Going past that room, there is even more space. That space is where the car is parked along with Jay’s motorbike. If you keep going straight (and then curving to the right) that way, it ultimately leads to the road way in. The BatCave kind of stinks, but it’s like a musty, weird smell you eventually get used to. Stephanie, Tim, and Barbara have a wax warmer with a little bat on it (a sticker Stephanie made) near the big monitors. The ground is a bit dirty but is cleaned every so often. There are a few unspoken (and spoken) rules about the cave.
For the second question, I’ll answer in a second part cause it’s complicated to explain. I’m sorry. I hoped this helped. I’m not that great at explaining things. But it’s extremely important to keep in mind:
That just because this is the way my world is, doesn’t necessarily mean that yours is going to look/be the exact same way. People, things, experiences, and places will look, act, and be different to different people in other universes. So just cause this is how this world’s BatCave is, doesn’t mean yours will be the same way or even look the same. And that’s totally okay. ♥️

Damian didn't mean to. But looking at the horror on Batman's face, he also knows it doesn't matter.
Someone had managed to sneak up on him, immediately after a fight.
Damian, exhausted and wounded and ever so slightly drugged by fear toxin, reacted.
He'd spun around and run his katana through the attacker-but it wasn't an attacker. It was a civilian, who was staring down at the sword in his chest with a stunned expression.
The civilian looked up, blue eyes meeting Damian's through the mask.
"I was just..." The man trails off, dropping the first-aid kid he'd been carrying.
Damian knows his time as Robin is over.
Danny, on the other hand, can already feel his healing factor trying to kick in, and just needs to figure out how to convince Robin to remove the Katana so it can work without letting Batman know he's a meta.

He broke through to the surface, taking large desperate gasps of air before getting sucked back beneath by the current. Danny fought against the water as hard as his little paws would allow.
Just when he felt all hope was lost and he was sinking, a large hand enveloped his entire body and hefted him back into the open air. Shivering and coughing out water he didn't catch whatever the man had said. He continued shivering violently as the guy wrung out Dannys fur.
The mans hands were warm despite the brown leather gloves covering them. They made Danny feel comforted and energized almost as if the man had...oh gods! He did! The man had ecto inside of him! Thank the ancients! Now he just had to stick with glove guy and he could recharge! It would be slow but still!
"Here we are little guy." The man said and Danny noticed all at once that the man had been walking the whole time Danny had been stuck in his head. He looked around and noticed the Animal Shelter sign in front of them.
No. No! Danny needed to stick to this guy if he ever hoped to become a human again. But despite how he dug his claws into the flesh of the mans exposed arm and yowled the man in the red mask managed to get him lose and left him in the care of an animal social worker.
Danny was checked out and placed in the tiny jail cell alongside other kittens and cats, many who were scared, miserable or just desperate for love and attention. This of course meant he needed to plot a jail break. Fortunately, he could still used most of his powers but without any ecto around he would have no way to recharge them outside of food or indulging in his obsession.
Needless to say Jason was a little startled when he woke up the next day to not one, but five little kittens meowing at him for food. He swears the one sitting smugly on his chest is the same one he dropped off at the animal shelter yesterday, but that couldn't be right...
One call confirmed it. All of thier animals had escaped last night and there was a suspiciously animal sized arch taken out of the wall with an unknown tool. Demon brat would be delighted at the news.
Unfortunately for Hood the smug little black cat he rescued yesterday had decided that his shoulder was the perfect perch and stayed there more often than not. Little guy got into food often but refused to eat kibble and any attempt to get the kitten away from the mashed potatoes resulted in violence or density shifting to get back to the food.
At this point danny almost didn't care if he returned to being human so long as he got to eat more of his humans cooking. He swears Jason is magical because everything he makes tastes amazing

The Timeline Shifted, and Sam is conflicted...
So! A Timeline Shift occurs one day (thanks Barry) while Team Phantom are in the Ghost Zone helping Clockwork with a few things. As they are going back to the Human World, Clockwork gives them another cryptic piece of advice.
"Unfortunately the world will not be the same as it once was. Samantha, you will find this especially Jarring, but keep an open mind."
Before they can ask what happened, he shoves them through their own respective Portals, and Sam lands in an Alleyway in Gotham.
She is confused, but a green glowing sticky note appears in front of her telling her 'go to the nearby park, you will see what I was talking about'
She walks over, and sees a lady with Green Skin tending to some flowers. Her head is covered by a Hat, so Sam can't see her face.
They strike up a Conversation, and Sam finds that this Lady is great. She loves taking care of Plants, she hates it when Companies pollute the Earth, and she even has Plant Powers just like Sam!
It occurs to her that she never asked for the Lady's name, so she asks and the lady lifts her Hat to reveal her face. And Sam freezes.
"Oh, sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Pamela Isley."
Thats her Mom's Maiden Name.
This lady has her Mom's Name.
This is her Mom.
Oooooooohhhhhhhhhh shit.

Prompt 57
Cryptid Batman but… While at first it was all tricks, simply fear and shadows and tricks of the minds, that doesn’t stay the case. It’s barely noticeable at first, the way the grunts deepen to something akin to growls by the time he takes a small child from the circus in. It’s not too alarming when their vision in the darkness gets better or their skin feels as cold as a corpse the moment they step into the streets.
It’s hard to explain to Jason when his own teeth begin to sharpen and nails become talons the first time he puts on that domino, when it almost seems to meld with his skin into downy feathers.
It’s hard to stay in denial with each new clan member about how much Gotham has sank Its claws into their bodies of mortal flesh and bone, how much they’ve shifted from the forms they were born with.

Watching Bungou Stray Dogs and seeing the wild shit that happens in Yokohama every single day made me realise that it's the Gotham of the BSD verse. Imagine being late to work cos a dragon attacked your city or missing your train cos a building got blown up by a Victorian looking dude who's apparently mafia or your fucking math teacher being declared a terrorist on national television along with the craziest and most attractive group of people you've ever seen, one of whom you're certain is the farmboy who you swear you've seen carry an entire cow over his head once.
So yeah, Gotham = Yokohama
Just less Goth and more Homo.

the problem with Fox’s Gotham which makes it impossible to get out of my head like a brain parasite is that it’s 70% unwatchable, boring, cop-worshiping heteronormative garbage and 30% the most unhinged balls-to-the-wall evil tragic gay high-camp art you’ve ever seen so ???/?????””?>:???; what the fuck am I suppose to do

Hiya! First of all your blog’s interface is so cute i’m rolling on the floorrrrrrr
Second of all your writing is absolutely amazing, i’ve just finished reading “the pizza delivery girl’s survival guide to gotham city” and lemme tell u i can’t wait for the next chapter cause absolute gold-
I wanted to ask what your thoughts are on Jason and day-to-day life outside of costume. Like, dude HAS to go outside as himself at least every once in a while, out of pure necessity. How do you think he goes on about it?
Aw, thank you, I'm glad you like my blog interface and my fic. I think it depends on how much he's progressed in processing his trauma, to be honest!
I imagine when he first moved back in Gotham, he avoided going out as much as possible, for a multitude of reasons. First, because he was still reeling emotionally from Bruce enacting project Knightfall (aka faking his own death), he was recovering from the injuries he sustained during the events of Arkham Knight (and of course, the injuries he got from the Joker). Most importantly, he is adjusting to living in a city he once hated enough to want to destroy.
I feel like those first few weeks were painful for him. Every place is filled memories, and while not all of them are bad memories, they often feel too painful to revisit. He likely spent most of his time cooped up in a safehouse (which was established as something he makes no effort to make comfortable), only going out when he absolutely had to. Interacting with the city and its people as little as possible. While I don't think the Joker ever meant him to survive his torture, the amount of scars and physical injuries he bears means that a lot of his interactions bring a lot of (misplaced) guilt and shame. Did that shopkeep spend too long looking at his face, his scar? Maybe he'll pass by some hole-in-the-wall shop and remember that he and Dick and Barbara would cool down there after patrols. The ramen, he'll think, is surprisingly good. The owner is a smiling, heavyset man who insists that they never pay for their meals. Maybe he'll even take a single step toward the shop, only to remember that the scars on his hands make it so it's hard to hold cutlery without shaking. That there are days when it's physically painful to eat. And he'll shake his head and walk away.
But I think the more he interacts with PG in the story and the more he fixes his relationship with his family, the more he'll be able to interact with Gotham City. Maybe going to the grocery won't be treated like a military supply run. Maybe he'll look up from his carefully-curated list and realize a type of candy Barbara used to be obsessed with is back in stock now. Maybe he'll put it in his cart, and for the first time in a while, he doesn't have to think about what he did to her as the Arkham Knight. One day, he'll wake up before his alarm and remember that you used to talk about watching the sun rise over Gotham Bay. He'll take a long walk along the shoreline and watch the way the sky turns into soft shades of pink and orange, and he'll be surprised at the realization that there are still beautiful things in Gotham. Maybe your face will flash in his mind, and he'll think that perhaps he shouldn't be so surprised, after all. Maybe one day, after a long night of patrol, he'll pass by the ramen shop again and this time, he decides to stay. The only thing that has changed is the owner, who's gained weight and a few gray hairs, but his smile is still the same. He'll bring Jason's order without asking, and he'll insist that he doesn't have to pay for it. Eating doesn't hurt as much as he feared. In fact, some days, he can move his hands without feeling pain. This is one of the good days. Maybe on that good day, he'll be surprised to find that the ramen is still good. That he can think of the days he used to stay here with his family after patrols, exchanging combat tips and juicy bits of gossip. And this time, he's able to smile.

Yeah, people like to think that (adult) Jason’s snarky, cutting, and unapologetic post crisis characterization and the (mostly) “watered down”, docile personality he’s had from N52/rebirth onwards are irreconcilable, and that the shift was just an editorial decision with the intent of marketing him as a “likeable” hero.
While that last part might be true, have they considered that textually it makes perfect sense that being consistently in contact with an abuser just does that to a person. Wears them down until they feel like nothing but a husk, without any discernible direction or opinions of their own. If it isn’t completely burnt out yet, they (consciously or unconsciously) suppress that part of themselves that thinks independently either for self-preservation or to keep the peace. Considering anyone, even “mentally strong” people could fall victim to mental abuse, it’s actually pretty realistic imo.

So who was gonna tell me that adults can adopt other adults. I didn't need Penguin handing me legal adoption papers as I walk into work today. ...I'm legally the child of not only The Penguin but also The Riddler. No I will not be changing my last name and they can't make me. I don't care how cool they hyphenated it to be. I still have my identity (fake ID and not by birth name) and my dignity.
