Cryptid Batman but… While at first it was all tricks, simply fear and shadows and tricks of the minds, that doesn’t stay the case. It’s barely noticeable at first, the way the grunts deepen to something akin to growls by the time he takes a small child from the circus in. It’s not too alarming when their vision in the darkness gets better or their skin feels as cold as a corpse the moment they step into the streets. 

It’s hard to explain to Jason when his own teeth begin to sharpen and nails become talons the first time he puts on that domino, when it almost seems to meld with his skin into downy feathers. 

It’s hard to stay in denial with each new clan member about how much Gotham has sank Its claws into their bodies of mortal flesh and bone, how much they’ve shifted from the forms they were born with.

You’re the only person who ever saw Gojo drunk - it wasn’t even something that happened on purpose, but he didn’t realize that someone had spiked the punch bowl and had already drank two glasses.

He’s a lightweight so it hits him hard and fast, and you think it’s funny at first until he starts getting melancholic.

He says things that makes you sad - about how he’s alone and how there has been so much suffering and loss around him.

You’re speechless when he buries his head into the crook of your neck, covering his pretty blue eyes with his hands as he weeps because he’s still grieving over the loss of a friend whose name you hear for the very first time.

You play with his hair, letting him cry it out and realize in that moment how seamlessly he hides his heartbreak with a beautiful smile.

Don’t buy your fav character’s philosophy 

exercise critical thinking instead 

Characters are supposed to represent complexity, thereby, they are supposed to be wrong. Also, some philosophical realizations are the result of the particular circumstance and personal path of the character and doesn’t mean that character reached the “truth”. They just elaborate some ideas. Neither, these “understanding” or “philosophy” are representative of the author's ideas. The author’s philosophy is represented in the whole story, and is the general conclusion that can result from it.

Some stories are supposed to put the character’s ideal in question because the author distrust or disbelieves it and is a way to criticize that ideal. For example, Light Yagami’s idea of justice. If the author agreed with his view wouldn’t build this character as a megalomaniac. 

Read through the story and the character, the author is always there. Is also very important to not just buy the author’s philosophy. The ideologies or political belonging are possible to be detected if you know how to recognize them. Plus, some political identities can’t get over themselves and even if they try to present as neutral, at some point they give themselves away. Finally, the stories would be charged with all the contradictions and tension that those ideologies have. Shingeki no kyojin is a good example of all this. Whether Eren is the hero or not (intended by the story), he still is an angry boy who wants to destroy everything. And the story will always fail in to justify genocide. Because genocide is irrational as a philosophical issue. In consequence, can only be considered in a climax of violence and hate, moved by angry people. 

Following with Jujutsu Kaisen, there is no character voicing Gege 's philosophy. The story is a whole and you can only access it through a global reflection. The characters voice different views, many times in conflict, or problematic aspects of social reality having different positions regarding it. Momo and Nobara’s discussion, for example, is not about who was right, but the conclusion or reflection we can gain from it. Higuruma is still clueless about what to do, yet his dilemma helps us to think about the complexity of the judicial system in capitalism. Toji had no idea that it was his learned misogyny and his wish to be recognized by their pair that made him fall at the end, but is a possible conclusion of it. Maki’s story not only helps us view how the patriarchy works, it also presents the question that maybe certain types of violence can be abolished with reforms (something I ask myself a lot when I think in Ciudad de Juarez). I could go on following each character. I will advise you not to just buy the character’s ideas. The fact that Satoru believes (as the result of his personal very traumatic experience) that love is the most twisted curse of all, doesn’t mean that Gege is trying to imply  negativity in love. Or those yin yang conceptualizations that people love like “it has something good and something” bad. I haven’t found that love as the guilt of anything bad that has happened in a jjk story, the bad is always a consequence of something else.So, in my opinion, “love is the most twisted curse” talks about Satoru and not jjk as whole.

This is advice, especially to young people who are looking for characters to identity with or references. But it also helps to understand the story, even if you are not taking anything for yourself.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot and basically Danny is Beelzebub from Hellva boss with his own casino performs and the entrance defies reality and all his ghost rouges come in and go as they please and some humans and or mortals stumble in and think it’s just some place where metas party their fucking asses off which wouldn’t be that bad if this wasn’t FUCKING GOTHAM. Danny doesn’t know how they got in Gotham but they just want to party but unfortunately for him the bats hear a rumor some meta trafficking ring has been planning a big raid on a certain casino that’s new ish and they have to stop it so they go in disguise and they get to witness Danny and his rouges beat the every loving snot out of some traffickers

maybe Danny is a clone, maybes he’s reincarnated, maybe he lost a bet, maybe he moved to Gotham for fun, maybe he got tossed across the universe into Gotham

who knows certainly not Danny

but to add even more maybe he travels around the casino on trapezes and circus rings that he just flips around it and has a pole it the middle that reaches the ceiling and at the top there’s this disco ball thing that he can activate to make a small nebula or stars surround the casino and make it pretty

oh oh and maybe with him having the title of beelzebub is like gotten after he beat them as in right of conquest, or maybe beelzebub is kinda like a shared name so Danny fuels them and they go around getting mortal action without having to do work, or maybe it was given to him as a present with a bow on top idk

I have no words for this and just had to draw because the idea of a casino or whatever with like, everywhere looking like galaxies and auroras that shift to the music was such an amazing visualization lol
