Do you ever have those rarepair fics that you are so proud of but only a handful of people are ever likely to read? And it makes you sad to think it's never going to be well-read.

Except maybe there's well-read (in quantity of readers) and well-read, in how much those readers adore it, beloved and reread by a precious few it is precious to, too. Maybe it doesn't need so many to appreciate it when those that do appreciate it so intensely.

I can see this one working out really well, if Trev can get out from under Jimmy Pesto. Mickey is so chill and Trev clearly needs someone who isn't as uptight. Trev, on the other hand, is loyal to a fault which Mickey will appreciate. The only issues that I see are Trev blindly following Mickey in whatever wacky scheme or Mickey taking things a bit too far. Like robbing a bank to buy Trev more lizards, lol.

Hey rarepair shippers, I'm about to change your lives.

The AO3 Primary Ship Search add-on for Firefox (it's called AO3 First Tag Search for Chrome) adds this little checkbox to the AO3 advanced search page

And if you check the box, the search only returns fics where the pairing you entered is the first one tagged. This is better than the otp:true operator imo because it will show fics with secondary/background pairings too as long as your preferred ship is the main one.

You can even use the add-on in Firefox or Kiwi browser on Android mobile.

It’s so hard to think of rarepairs to send when in a small fandom they ALL feel like rarepairs lol, but how about Mort and Bosco?

Mort is easy-going enough that he's able to deal with Bosco's bullshit. That doesn't mean that Mort can't/won't dip if things are getting bad/weird--we see him turn right around multiple times. Mort does have a hard time advocating for himself, but he will if the situation escalates. As for Bosco, he isn't going to sugarcoat anything which I think Mort will appreciate. They'll probably butt heads on things like the Belchers or how often Bosco should call his kids, (Mort bugs Bosco on that one a lot), but I can see them working out.
