Most people know Leon as a confident man, but that’s just him when he’s out in public. In private he tends to be quieter. He had invited you over to his place to play the new video game he just bought. You two had been playing the game for about an hour and a half before the electricity went out. Luckily the game had already auto-saved before that happened. The good news is that the water was still running and that Leon has a lot of blankets.

After 4 hours of you two playing board games and card games you notice that Leon was nervous about something. You put your cards face down on the table and looked at him "Leo, what's wrong? You seem nervous about something." "Well, I want to tell you something, Y/N. But I don't know how you will react." "Just tell me, Leo. If you don't tell me I'm going to worry that I did something wrong." He takes a deep breath in and out "I am in love with you, Y/N!"

You take his hands in yours making him look at you. "Oh, Leon. I was waiting for you to tell me. I'm in love with you too." He looks at you surprised "You knew? How?" "You were obvious. But, I didn't want to force it out of you." You two smile and finish your card game before cuddling on the couch.

You and Gordie were baking brownies at his apartment when the blizzard hit. Luckily you two were making regular brownies and they were finished right as the power went out. So with Coalossal as your light. You two ended up talking about both of your childhoods. You told Gordie about how your mom was the one who taught you how to battle and it was your dad who taught you how to take care of Pokémon.

After a while of sharing stories, Gordie let his true feelings about you slip through. "This is why I fell in love with you, Y/N." Silence filled the room as his face dropped. "I uhh. I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to tell you like this." You place a hand on his cheek and kiss him on the lips. You pull away and say "It's alright, Gordie. I love you too. I was too nervous to tell you."

His face still had a look of shock on it from you kissing him. "Well, I'm glad I finally told you because my mom was going to tell if I didn't before tomorrow." You both laugh about how funny it is because that would have been awkward for the both you. You two end up eating all the brownies before heading to bed. He did let you sleep in his bed while he slept on the couch since you two just started dating.

💜Raihan💜

You and Raihan were at his house playing video games. From Spyro to Crash Bandicoot to Just Dance. As you two were in the middle of playing Mario Kart on the Wii the power went out. "Damn it! I was so close to winning! What happened?" Raihan exclaimed "I'll go check." You answered and went to the closest window and drew back the curtains. You saw that it was a snowstorm. "It is a snowstorm. It must have knocked something down." You inform him as you head back to where he was sitting. "What do you want to do now?" You asked "We could play two truths and a lie." Raihan suggested "Sure"

It was about 20 minutes later and it was Raihan's turn. "I hate being cold, I hate being hot, and I love you more than Leon loves battling." "Obviously the lie is that you hate being cold." "Correct." "Wait. What was the last thing you said?" "Correct?" "No. I mean before that." His face turns read "I love you more than Leon loves battling?" "You love me, Raihan?" He looks away from you to avoid looking you in the eyes

"I do. I just didn't mean it to come out this way. I guess my brain went blank and it just came out of my mouth." You go over to him and hug him. "It is alright. I love you too Raihan." After that, you two just started talking about random topics until you two fell asleep.

Leon is good at comforting you, he hates the idea of you being insecure about yourself though. He thinks you’re really great and he’s familiar with the terrible feeling so he doesn’t like knowing you’re going through it. Often helps through jokes.

Brock is all about pep talks and trying to convince you that you’re amazing!! He says it with so much genuine sincerity, there’s no doubt in his mind and he says it in such a matter of a fact way it’s almost impossible to deny it as truth.

Guzma is insecure too, but he truly doesn’t know how to help aside from that “it’s just shit in your head, but I get it” he doesn’t ever fault you for it, even if you act rude or anything because of your insecurities. He’s the most understanding.

Moving in together was Leon’s idea. It was fun for the both of you as well as your Pokémon. Leon never felt so happy with you around as you were him. Though the moment he saw you and his Charizard cuddling together with you on the couch and Charizard with his head in you lap as he sat on the floor, it was curtains for him. Leon has always noticed that Charizard had taken a liking to you but to this moment he was sold you were staying in his life until the end of time. There was no doubt in in his mind that you were the one.

Raihan

Since Raihan has known you, you have always dressed a bit more masculine mostly because you are a fellow gym leader. He’s never seen you wear something outside of your gym leader clothes. Though he never had a problem with it, Raihan liked you just the way you are, you are a capable gym leader, a strong one at that and Raihan respected that. You and Raihan have been dated for sometime now and you still have a way of surprising him. You showing up to one of your dates in a dress/skirt or whatever, Raihan was like “damn, she cleans up nice.” He was already in love with but you were something new made him fall even more in love with you.

Adore You | Leon x Reader (Oneshot)

Genre: Super Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort

It’s been a particularly challenging week. And as much as you’ve tried to brush it off, along with Leon’s concern, the weight of everything is starting to bear down on you hard. If you were honest, you’ve been in a constant state of exhaustion.

Deadlines and expectations seem to be ever looming, the only rival in magnitude to either being the damned imposter syndrome you’d been trying desperately to bat away. At this point, you’re questioning if you’d somehow accidentally stumbled into where you are in life.

This afternoon, you’d happened to get home before Leon did and immediately slithered out of your clothes and into your bed, wrapping the sheets around yourself. Your eyes fell shut, hoping to drown out the world. All you can hear is the sound of your breath, drawing slowly and softly, yet somehow each inhale felt heavier than usual. With all of the thoughts swirling around in your mind, you almost didn’t hear the footsteps approaching or the sound of the bed shifting under someone’s weight settling next to you.

The subtle scent of cinnamon, vanilla and bourbon in Leon’s cologne bringing the slightest comfort before anything else. His hand tugs at the edge of the blanket you had so tightly folded yourself into, loosening it just enough so that he could slide into the cocoon with you. Without saying anything, he nestled his broad frame against your back, an arm working its way around your waist and angling up so that his palm was against your cheek.

The first crack.

You trembled at your core, all of your pent up fears and anxieties simmering inside you, threatening to boil over. Allowing yourself to ease into Leon’s hand, you took in the warmth of his skin — he was somehow always warm — and could feel the callouses built up from almost two decades of training. Callouses that were rough and worn, but always felt like home when they were running along your back. Letting his thumb trace across your cheek to play along your lips, he inched his body closer, his other hand moving to brush your tousled hair out of your face. You hear him sigh deeply before placing a gentle kiss at the back of your head, then resting his nose against your neck.

The second, and final crack.

You couldn’t hold it back anymore and the tears began to trickle down, wetting Leon’s hand. It’s silent for a moment, until the tiniest whimper escapes you. You try to pull away, but strong arms hold you in place, pressing you in closer. “Shhh…”

“You’re so strong, love. Being vulnerable is a part of that strength,” he whispered into your skin.

Still soft, but now audible sobs were wracking your body. You were sure Leon could feel you shaking and you couldn’t figure out if you should be embarrassed or if you should find solace in the fact that him, simply being who he was, brought your soul to ease.

“And know that even when you’re feeling your weakest, I’ll adore you. Always.”

At that, you turn around to face your champion, your lips quickly finding his, hands tangling themselves in those unruly, violet locks. Between the tender glances and exchanged breaths, you knew you’d eventually make it out the other end.

How could you not.

Summary: You haven’t battled for so long, but when an old face of a someone who was once a good friend of yours appears to fight, you take up the fight again. And this time your boyfriend gets to see and gush over your battle prowess.

Leon had never seen you battle. He knew you had an entire team at your disposal, but it never really occurred to him that you’d never had a Pokémon battle.

Until today.

“Come on! One fight! One Pokémon even!”

“I said no, Leon! I have my reasons.”

His pouty face never left. You shook him off your arm the second he latched onto it. He huffed, undefeated by your disinterest and unwillingness to use your former team to fight him. One way or another, he was going to get you to battle him.

“Just because my team goes where I go, doesn’t mean I want them to battle,” you told him.

That part was true. You didn’t want them to battle. But they wanted to battle, regardless of what you wanted. As Leon spoke, begging for a friendly fight between girlfriend and boyfriend, the Ultra Balls on your belt shook in delight at the mention of a battle, save for one.

You felt stuck. Definitely between a rock and a hard place, you thought. You didn’t want to deny Leon and his enthusiasm. In a way, you felt like you were disappointing him. You hated that sad, kicked puppy look he gave when he didn’t get his way with something he wanted.

Like those damn cupcakes last week, you remembered.

But it wasn’t his fault. He didn’t know anything relating to why you didn’t battle anymore. You only sent out your team when you had to, when he overeager little kids and cocky arrogant jerks decided to battle you — not taking your lack of desire to fight as a green light rather than a red one.

Maybe… Just maybe it would be okay. Maybe you could keep a lid on your emotions and not break into a complete and total panic attack.

“Leon, I—“

“Well, well, look who’s here.”

Both of you turn and your eyes blow wide open.

Out in the Wild Area, there were certain places you’d rarely come across another person. Right where you were, was partly one of them. There were some areas were so secluded, in fact, that people weren’t often found for days. That’s originally how you met Leon, being sent on a task to find him alone. That, however, was a story for another day—

“Hello, [Name]. Lovely to see you again.”

—but the man standing in front of you had a lot to do with why you left the Wild Area’s Rescue Team and decided to never battle again.

Dark hair and familiar ill-intentioned eyes bore down at you. He smirked as you scowled.

“Oscar.” You tamed your breath and bit your tongue, not wanting to let him get under your skin.

“It’s good to see you again,” he comments. “And I imagine you say you could wish the same.”

The tension was so thick one could cut it with a knife. Leon, despite being former Champion and as strong as he was, was beginning to sweat and get nervous. The intensity between you and the male was starting to be too much. Leon shook your shoulder, offering an excuse to leave. He didn’t know this person, nor did he care to.

Unfortunately, this guy knew what Leon was doing.

“As wonderful as it is to meet you, former Champion Leon, my business is with this lady here,” said Oscar, who’s eyes only flickered to Leon for a split second to address him. “If you don’t mind.”

“My lady,” Leon corrected, understanding the veiled threat and intent perfectly. He got to his feet and stood, eyes narrowed at the hostility that was meant for you. “And I do mind.”

As Leon straightened his spine, his height seemed to increase, and you began to realize just how imposing Leon’s figure really was.

His biceps bulged against the sleeves of his black shirt, chest involuntarily puffing out. You could see every outline of Leon’s body, shirt tight and taut against his skin. The amount of adrenaline and anger he was feeling was evident, with you now seeing the veins in his arms and neck. You looked at your boyfriend from toe to head, and it was only when you saw his arms crossed over his chest and eyes narrowed with fury that you realized that Leon was absolutely pissed. You weren’t entirely sure Oscar was going to make it out of this encounter alive.

But Oscar, ever the idiot, decided to challenge Leon. He reached for the Ultra Ball attached to his hip, and if he hadn’t changed his battling habits — like he hadn’t changed the rest of himself — then Leon needed to move. Now.

You shrieked, “Leon!”

You barely moved in time as a Mamoswine came out of the Pokéball, nearly crushing your boyfriend underneath its feet.

Oscar’s Mamoswine was just as big as you remembered — at least half a Mamoswine bigger than a normal one, totaling 12 feet — him being when you and Oscar were still on the rescue team together.

“He’s huge,” Leon said, exhaling his held breath.

“Massive,” you agreed. “He’s always been like this.”

“The Mamoswine or Oscar?”

“Both.”

You heard your former teammate chuckle darkly. Of course he was finding all of this amusing.

“Ah, I’m sorry,” came the fake apology. “I should’ve watched where I was sending Mamoswine.”

Your eyes narrowed. Letting out a hefty sigh, you grabbed and clicking your belt back into place around your waist.

“You really should leave, Oscar,” you said threateningly, grabbing one particular Pokéball, “before I remind you of the real reason why I was Captain of the Wild Area Rescue Team.”

His own eyes narrowed at the mention of the memory. Oscar had always been unbelievably jealous of you being chosen as the leader instead of him. At the same time, he had an unnecessary fascination with you — an unhealthy obsession — that was driven with a mix of lust, jealousy, and utter hatred.

“I think I’ll pass,” he replied with a snarl to his tone. “Besides, I’d like to know… How’s that left leg of yours doing these days?”

You didn’t need a fancy toss. You merely held the button of the ball upward and a solid click sounded. And out came a massive Steelix, towering terrifyingly over the opposing Mamoswine and his Trainer; the same one that had been your best friend since he was a baby Onix and you an embarrassingly shy four-year-old in your Dad’s arms.

You almost broke your stoic composure and laughed at the sight of Leon’s shock-horrified look at the sight of the Steelix before him, looming high overhead over the three of you.

Oscar and his Mamoswine were unfazed, familiar with your Steelix from the last few years of being team members. The two Pokémon were on good terms, but they would always put their Trainers first and fight one another if necessary.

“Steelix—“

“Mamoswine—“

Leon watched as your Steelix and Oscar’s Mamoswine went to battle. Both of them were clearly battle-trained and, no pun intended, monsters in combat. And as you called out Steelix’s moveset to counter and attack Mamoswine, Leon realized that you were an amazing combatant and strategist. Steelix followed your orders without question, absolute in his confidence in your strategy to win.

The further the battle went on, without either of you changing Pokémon, he knew that if you’d ever entered the Gym Challenge, you would’ve swept him and his team clean and taken the Champion title from him like it was nothing.

“Mamoswine, return!” Oscar shouted. “Go, Lucario!”

“Steelix—“

He’d only seen Mega Evolution a few times in his life, but being this close to Pokémon that we’re doing it showed him how much energy it contained, almost seemingly even more than Dynamax. The powerful bursts of energy nearly threw him off his feet, particularly from Steelix’s larger amount of power from its natural size.

The battle raged on. Leon was shocked to see how fast Steelix moved when Mega Lucario aimed his attacks at him. Steelix weighed almost a ton; how was he moving that darn fast?!

Twenty minutes later, after several Earthquakes, Lucario was out of the fight. You swept the rest of his team with yours, alternating between Gengar, Obstagoon, Milotic, Hatterene, and Hydreigon for the highest amount of effectiveness to end the fight quicker.

Oscar scowls at his easy loss, but says nothing. You see the change in his eyes from spite to… something else. You’re not entirely sure what you see in his eyes, but it looks tamer than earlier, slightly of a maturity you doubted he would ever have.

“You’re just as strong as ever, [Name]. It’s quite something to be reminded of,” Oscar chuckles, reminiscing fondly. “I was very disappointed when you left the team… but maybe I can understand why. Especially nowadays.” His eyes flicker to Leon, duly noting his earlier protectiveness and the nickname he’d given you. “You have something good… Keep it.”

You’re stunned by Oscar’s words.

He disappears within a few minutes after that, and Leon catches you as you collapse, gently bringing you to the ground.

“You’re amazing,” Leon says in an impressed exhale. “I can’t believe how strong you are.”

“Thanks.” You push the hair back from your eyes. “But I only do it when I have to. I dislike Pokémon battles very much. Oscar is a very large part of the reason why I quit, too. And not just the rescue team.”

Leon is silent for a moment, then says, “I understand. I may not know everything, but that guy brings bad trouble, has a bad aura to him.”

“He wasn’t always that way,” you murmur sadly, “but things changed. He used to be my best friend.”

“Well, I’m sorry he let you down,” he replied.

“Me too.”

He looked at your Pokéballs, then grinned and said, “But I know one thing,” trying to lighten the mood.

“What’s that?”

“You’re freakin’ amazing,” he said with awe, fists clenched with excitement and a fat grin on his face. “You’re an amazing battler! I can’t believe how strong you and your Pokémon are! You make me think you could even take me on and win!”

You feel embarrassment rush over you, from head to toe. You avoid eye contact, and you know now that Leon’s never going to stop bugging you for a battle.

This time, however, you might just oblige him.

I can still remember a year ago when I was on the stage in the finale waiting for the votes to say if I become new kalos queen or if the current queen keeps her crown me my shiny umbreon and zorua (all your Pokémon are shiny btw and your team is umbreon zorua lucario ponyta absol and dragapult ) stood their nervously all of a sudden the host shouts "and the kalos queen is ...Y/N!!!!"I was so shocked as they placed the crown on my head I shook the previous queen's hand

Now to current times I have decided to move me and my team to Galar but I have not given up my title or my modelling job (you are a world famous model as well now) so I will at least go back once a month for work and family I'm chose a little cottage in a small town called postwick as I say goodbye to my mum and pick up my designer luggage going out the door getting into the back of my car "ready miss?" my driver called from the front "yes let's go" your driver speeds off towards your private jet 24 hours later you land in Galar soon after landing you sprint off into the public area forgetting you had no security guard so when the public notices you there was a massive crowd around you soon enough you could see news reporters are there

Raihan POV

I was sat in the locker room after another gym challenger it was silence until Leon bursts through the door "at least tell when you are coming to visit" I say but I generally want to know why he is here "have you seen the news" he said snapping me out my thoughts "no why?" I started to get confused I turned on the news and the head lines read 'FAMOUS MODEL , KALOS QUEEN AND WORLD CLASS BATTLER Y/N L/N HAS MOVED TO GALAR' my eyes widen as finish reading and turn to Leon " we'll be able to meet her soon!" Leon announced proudly Hands on hip 'what does he mean we ?' my thoughts overridden by what the Champion has just said "what do you mean we?" I questioned obviously curious "me and you are going to meet her?" My mind has already exploded by that one statement "WTH we stalking her or something?" I said rasing my voice ever so slightly "no you dumbass we both of us will be meeting her at the battle tower" at that moment my brain is SHOOK all I could do is blink and breath I finally got my words out by saying "when will we be meeting her?" "Next week Thursday see you bye I'm also bringing hop" he left before I could even open my mouth

Y/N POV

A week later

I wake up to lucario jabbing me " ok ok I'm awake" I groaned I got up and got dressed into f/c (favourite colour) crop top and f/c short skirt I check my schedule for today and see that I have a meeting at the battle tower today so I start to clean my Pokémon ready for the day I go and get my z-ring, my mega evaluation choker (for lucario and me) a dynamax band all shiny for later i turn and smile at my Pokémon

RAIHAN'S POV

I get up to the sound of my alarm I groan annoyed but I then remember Y/N L/N to be honest I've always had a little bit of a crush on her so I i jump out of bed and get into my normal clothes but put some expensive cologne on and I'm ready to go I'm pretty excited

Y/N pov

I get out of my car putting some shades on I thank my driver before he drives away I don't have any security guard with me but I don't care as I turn around a kid looking around the age of sixteen with purple hair and bright gold eyes jumps in front of me all excited "hello" i say sweetly to the boy "hi my name's hop nice to meet you!" hop says nearly jumping of excitement all of a sudden a new voice enters my hearing "hop come back here" I look up and meet eyes with the person I believe is the champion so I give him a soft smile "you must be Leon" I say kindly he looks at me with wide eyes "ah you must be Y/N L/N" the purple hair champion says i nod my head vigorously. And from that moment on I knew my life was going to change drastically.

In a fallen kingdom, Arceus sent an angel to spread its word. The angel descended from the heavens into the kingdom, taking all by surprise. The kingdom’s citizens fell in love with the beautiful angel, but the king took a special liking.

The angel’s lengthy strides echoed in the empty halls of the castle, making their way to the throne room. They stopped in front of the wooden doors and took a breath. The guards standing by opened the doors, allowing the holy being into the area. The king turned to the angel.

“Ah, welcome. I heard of your arrival from my citizens,” said the king. He invited the angel to look out over the kingdom with him from the grand window.

“Yes, I have been sent to spread the word of my lord Arceus,” the angle replied curtly.

“Tell me, what does the all-knowing Arceus want his angels to inform us humans of?” The king asked.

“Arceus sent me to tell you of the Pokémon poaching industry. Many of Arceus’s carefully crafted species are bordering extinction,” informed the angel.

The king frowned. “I will attend to this matter. For now, why don’t you stay for a few days?”

“Thank you for the hospitality, but I must refuse,” the angel denied.

“Just for a week? The children seem to adore you,” the king pleaded. Not as much as me, he thought.

The angel, unknowing of the king’s true intentions, agreed to remain in the kingdom for one week.

As the angel’s presence was extended, the king’s desire grew. Eventually, the desire consumed the king entirely, turning him into a being of greed and wrath.

On the second day, the king had agreed to give the angel a tour of the town. As the pair walked through the streets, more and more eyes ogled at the divine being. The king’s judgement became clouded with rage and jealousy, but he finally snapped when some insolent peasant dared to lay his hands on his angel. HIS angel.

At the castle, the king escorted the angel to where they would be staying, then left to deal with the pest. He had the peasant beheaded in the town square as a warning for the other citizens. His smile only grew from his subjects’ fright.

The night before the angel was to leave, the king took them from their sleep. He locked them in his chambers and clipped their wings, severing all ties with Arceus and turning them mortal. He turned to the Devil, making a deal to bind his and his beloved’s souls so they would find each other in every life. In return, it took a simple sacrifice of some of the angel’s blood. The king didn’t like the idea of hurting his darling, but he took some of their blood in a bowl and gave it to the Devil. The king and angel lived the rest of their lives together, as the kingdom fell to ash and dust.

Leon woke up in a cold sweat, pushing his purple hair back with one hand. He turned to look at his partner, who was asleep on the pillow next to him.

He remembered. He remembered everything. Just like his past self has been assured, he found his darling in every life. And now, he wouldn’t let go.
