Bridgewater fanart again! (Jeremy Bradshaw in his office)

This is my biggest biggest fanart I’ve ever done so far and let me just say that I’m super proud of it!! There are a lot of details once again 👀 (kudos if you can see the references!)

This is a fanart totally dedicated to @thelaurenshippen , thank you so much for your support on my fanarts, it truly means the world to me, and it isn’t much but it is my way to thank you, as you said that you had a new headcanon as you reblogged my Jeremy sleeping fanart “also: new headcanon I now have vipin started TAing for Jeremy when he was still in undergrad so Jeremy also has one photo of the two of them at Vipin's graduation in his office” so I had to do this: Jeremy’s office where there is a picture of the two at Vipin’s graduation!

Once again as the details are detailing and the headcanon is headcanoning, I’m putting some further explanation after the read more! (And also I’ll tell the refs if you don’t want to search for too long 😭)

It took me 19 hours (I’m slow don’t judge me too much and this is not counting the frame on Jeremy’s desk 😭) so let me just say that a LOT of thoughts went through that little (big?) piece.

First of all as you saw, there is Vipin’s graduation pic on Jeremy’s desk, so here’s a further explanation of it under the post of the art itself (in case you want to see it in a bigger way too)

Then, for the phone’s screen, I did a fake conversation between Vipin and Jeremy which I think totally happened at some point. And here is the real screenshot of it because I don’t think you can see well what is written on the fanart unfortunately. (I also put a little reference to the album “Feelings and Such” by Louden Swain in it which is what Jeremy is supposed to listen to, I gotta say the main reason is because it’s my fave album and group but I would totally see Jeremy listening to that kind of music from time to time, I see him listening to “There’s the Rub” from that album)

Then comes his computer: it is truly the logo of the Bridgewater State University, the sticker from the real merch of the Bridgewater podcast, and the ace flag (because Jeremy Bradshaw being on the ace spec soothes my soul)! It’s my headcanon about Jeremy’s computer, it’s the third time I’ve drawn his pc, and the stickers stay the same no matter what and it’ll stay this way jsksksk

There is little basket of stim toys on his desk too and that’s totally my headcanon: I see Jeremy as a really caring professor, and to me he would have it in his office for the stressed out students coming to see him so they can feel better, or at least his students know he has some to lend! (And I’m nd, I would love to have a professor like that 😭) (thanks for a moot on Twitter for the slinky idea!!)

For the sticky notes on the desk: the one on the papers states “read before 03/24” which is the date the last episode of S2 aired, the pink one “proofread Lauren’s thesis defense date 08/06” Lauren is a direct nod to Lauren Shippen, and the date corresponds to the first airing date of the two first eps of S1 of Bridgewater.

The sticky note it “printer password BSU1976JyBw PS: Vipin I do have a limited amount of copies!” because I thought that printers in the uni might have password deferring from each profs (at least it was like this in my French highschool — as a reminder, I’m from France so it’s really me trying to find stuff on the internet), so BSU = Bridgewater State University, 1976 being Jeremy’s birth year (at least I tried to calculate it and it was 1976? Hopefully I’m right 😭✋ as the show aired in 2021 I tried to assume that 2021 was also the date in the podcast and as Jeremy is 45 during S1 welp), and JyBw is just the first and last letter of his first and last name. Comes my headcanon: at some point Jeremy couldn’t print anything because Vipin had printed too many stuff, hence the little reminder because Jeremy doesn’t want to beg to have more copies 😭

The research paper Jeremy has to read before 03/24 has been written by a certain “J.Novak”! (Totally a Supernatural reference) And when it comes to SPN refs, it’s much more subtle, but I did the same soles for Jeremy’s shoes as Castiel in the episode The End of spn (because the shoes are quite famous for being also identical to the one Dean wears so it was funny and on a funfact Jeremy’s legs and feet posture is bc I saw Misha sit like this so I thought it was fun (I also sit like that so it made me happy))

Behind Jeremy there’s an undone Rubik’s Cube, because I totally see it as Jeremy’s very own stim toy but the catch is that he doesn’t know how to solve it 😭 (thanks another moot for the idea @stillwinchester ily!!).

There’s also a mug, because our man needs to stay concentrated (tea? coffee? Your thoughts, to me Jeremy is more of a tea guy), this is a reference to the X-Files! Big Blue is txf’s Nessie, and the mug is a literal copy of the “real” merch mug you can see in “Quagmire” (3x22 of the X-Files)

For the posters on the walls, the one behind the bookshelves was the main art of an exhibition which occurred “Supernatural America: The Paranormal in American Art” and I’m persuaded that Jeremy would have gone to see that! And he would have loved to keep something from it! (But he ended up having to put his shelf in front of it because he had to put his books somewhere and maybe it creeped out his colleagues and students, here’s a picture of the original painting)

And for the one near his desk, it is an old poster from the American Folk Art Museum, and to me Jeremy would totally be a museum guy, it’s very “academic” after all, plus he would be interested into it as it’s more around people and self taught people and so on, as he is very interested into anthropology, it goes well with the whole vibe.

For the blackboard, the titles are basically what he is teaching in his lecture in S1 EP01 so to me it would be his way to see more what he has to work on for his students (and I think he fidgets his chalks in his lecture because in the same ep as he speaks you can truly hear a lot of chalk sounds which weren’t due to him writing so I understood it that way?), and there’s a little magnet with a “buy cat food!” because headcanon to me but Jeremy owns a cat (a black cat you can see him on his lockscreen on my drawing of Jeremy sleeping) but as he spends a lot of the time at the BSU, I think he would put reminders just in case 😭 (and there’s a little flower drawing made by Vipin! to me he would doodle little stuff from time to time with little smileys to brighten up Jeremy’s day a little)

Then in the bookshelves you can see a little purple owl! It’s to me, an amethyst carved one, as Jeremy had had his esoteric era when he was younger (it was said in S2 that he tried to be Wiccan) he must still have some stone knowledge and as amethyst is supposed to have soothing and good vibes properties, he might have taken this although he doesn’t believe in it anymore, and of course he picked it because it was an owl because it’s better now to laugh about the owl situation 😭

Lastly: all the books are real books! It took me some time but all of these exist, it’s mainly anthropology book, faculty/uni book, research stuff, and there are two books about the Bridgewater triangle! I tried to keep it around Jeremy’s field of course so it’s the occult, witchcraft, the Salem trials, UFOs, beliefs and all!

schizo stuff that doesn’t fall within the strict definition of a hyperfixation or special interest but definitely aren’t neurotypical behaviors:

-maintaining lifelong romantic and sexual relationships with fictional characters to the point that you identity certain characters as “yours” as opposed to just being characters you like or are attracted to

-on the other side of the coin, projecting heavily into certain characters and continuously producing highly niche and specified fanwork about them (hey everyone, here’s chapter 73 of my canon compliant AU where Herbert West is receiving 80s era treatment for bipolar disorder and gastrointestinal issues)

-just being super into stuff like transmission towers or lucite high heels or wholesale produce stores and googling them and taking photos of them for your album and everyone knows you have to stop and look if you see one (this is borderline bc non schizo people do this too, but the intense satisfaction and comfort similar to stimming that comes from engaging with these things is something that i think is unique)

-expanding on that, you can feel that certain things have “vibes” or “spiritual significance” that other people can’t detect or only notice when you bring them up, or you get the sense that some places are “portals” or “thin spaces” and seek them out to the point that a vacation to a small unremarkable town can be engaging for you because the little streets and alleys are full of these special places

-basically having a “magic system” or some kind of divination/occultism based on your interests and the recurring themes in your life. you may be able to “read” them passively even when not actively psychotic. we of course never talk to non-schizos about the guidance this provides, or they may feel uncomfortable and concerned and feel the need to confine us.

-the experience of assigning a whole complex rock opera plot to an album you really like and then you tell someone about your interpretation expecting them to go “oh my god dude that blows my fucking mind you’re so right” but instead they’re like “what the fuck goes on in your brain I want to know”

modern au time

cody knows how to play the piano, and little rex loves the sound of it. especially when he’s younger and still navigating through his sensory likes and dislikes, the sound of cody’s playing calms him.

rex really loves music. it’s soothing, and it looks pretty, so it’s an auditory, visual and vocal stim all at the same time: and it keeps him happy. whenever all else fails, and rex cannot calm down or sleep, cody sits in front of the piano and starts playing. within minutes rex is babbling happily along with the tune in cody’s lap, or laying on the floor with his dinosaur blanket, dozing off.

as rex grows older, and cody gets busier with life, rex starts to learn the piano all by himself. he presses all the buttons and listens to the pitches until he’s able to recreate the order of the notes of his favorite song cody used to play for him all the time. soon enough he plays all kinds of music from classical pieces to songs he’s heard from the radio.

rex’s singing isn’t too bad but fox insists that he is better: so together they sit by the piano as rex plays and fox sings, and discreetly cody takes a picture for the photo album. the golden strings aren’t in the picture, but rex can still imagine them twirl around them to the melody of the song.

To start, happy first of the year for everyone! I hope everyone's parties and/or chill sessions went well, I myself hid at home enjoying games and drink, heheee

I am already melting with glee at feedback to my addition on @moonchild-in-blue's artist thread, I've been stimming for a good hour bc I'm not sure how to properly respond 😂😂 i am very shy, let's just get that out of the way but thank you for the responses you guys are beautiful!

Here is the close-ups that were requested! I really just have them for Vessel's "face" and hands, as they have the most detail vvv

I actually had a lot of fun messing around with "face" designs bc I knew I was not gonna be able to draw Vessel's current mask in a full-body piece like this at the level of detail my brain would be pleased with on this canvas size. I've seen so many cool takes on Sleep's eyes tho and how they would manifest through Ves, so I had to give my little spin on it

The ribbon was actually a suggestion from my friend bc originally the idea was for him to be holding some kind of necklace or chain, but I couldn't really decide on like, a style? so they helped me out lol

The pauldron was also cool to get down tho why must filigree be so difficult @.@; I stared at one single reference photo for like 3 hours, I swear it was ingrained into my retinas for about a day once I'd finished that part 😂😂

And I had to add the claws, you can never go wrong with claws on a not-quite-human character. The gradient of the paint was also a must, I'm a sucker for subtle corruption elements

I am god awful at backgrounds, so this was literally me just fucking around and throwing stuff onto the canvas and saying yep, it's good 😂 obviously there's a decent amount of callback to Sundowning, towards the end I did kinda try to give it a blend of all three eras/albums, but there's definitely not enough TPWBYT. That can be rectified in the future tho, heheehe

Of course, however you guys want to read it isn't necessarily right or wrong, just like how we all see the music, go wild with it. I am absolutely down for different takes

hello do yoy write headcanins for damian wayne?

Haven't yet but I would very much like to, so here. To calify some of these come from different posts I've seen on Tumblr and I can't remember who made them so I do not take credit for some of these. I will put a * next to the ones I did not come up if anyone knows who did or can find the post, feel free to link it in the comments. If the * is half way through it's because the headcanon came from someone else but then I also had my own addictions to then. Anything after the * for these will be my own headcanons.

Damian's eyes used to be brown but during training with the League as a child he was likely killed multiple times. His eyes became green due to the Lazurus Pit and that Batfam only find this out when looking at baby pictures of him. *

It took a while but when he finally settled into the family, he slowly started to accept it's okay to be a kid and let his guard down about 'not wanting to be seen as a child'. Starts to actually have a proper childhood. Only feels comfortable and safe enough to act his age around his family and people he's close with, though. Will only listen to Bruce, Alfred, and his older siblings (Plus Diana and Clark) when being told he can't do something because of age, like a particularly dangerous mission. This also applies to being told needs, like needing to go to bed early or do homework.

He has Martha Wayne's nose. No one could pinpoint whose nose he had until Alfred was cleaning up and found an old photo album, looked through it, and connected the dots. * Alfred immediately ran to tell Bruce, who almost cried because he's so used to everyone expecting Waynes to look like Thomas that he was over the moon for there to also be traits of his mother. Bruce was very greatful to say the least.

Has Autism and struggles with sensory issues. Owns noise cancelling headphones. Has a pair he wears in public that are a sleek black but at home he has a pair of those cat ones with the ears. One of his favourite things to do when he's burnt out is to wear them and listen to ASMR of cats purring whilst having Alfred The Cat in his lap so he can stroke his fur. Good stims.

Is great at masking but it leads to a lot of burnout.

Has non verbal days. Struggled with it a lot at first because he was punished for not answering during his days with the League so he had a lot of anxiety about not being accepted or even hurt. Bruce and Dick were very gentle and reassured him it was okay. It was a slow process but they managed to get there. Cass helped to teach him sign language. He tends to hang around her on these days because it brings him comfort to know it's not just him.

Bruce spoke to doctors and such about diagnosing Damian the minute he started noticing the signs. Being neurodivergent himself (I think Bruce has ADHD and perhaps Autism too) and having multiple children who are also neurodivergent, it didn't take long. You start to be quite good at it.

Bruce also had Damian start having therapy sessions with their family therapist when Damian began settling in. (They 100% have one and you can't tell me otherwise. Bruce himself wouldn't have gotten help at first in the early days but I refuse to believe he's just gonna let his kids sit there with obvious C-PTSD and not do anything. It started years ago when Bruce tracked down reputable therapists and observed them for a while, probably months, before approving that they were trustworthy of knowing secret identities based on their character. He hired them for the League and wider hero community, but also he hired one specifically for his family. He had sessions with Jason when they were finally able to start reconciling which helped the process greatly. He's had sessions with all of his kids. I may make another post about this tbh. He also had multiple sessions with each of his children when he came back from 'death'.) It took a little convincing and at first Damian was essentially wasting his sessions and not being too cooperative, but after some time he started to actually open up. He actually felt relief and it was one of the main things that led him to accepting his Autism diagnosis and processing his trauma and the abuse he experienced. It encouraged him to embrace the freedom he finally had to have a real childhood and actually get to be a kid.

Doesn't always show it but actually feels emotions very deeply and is incredibly empathetic. My dude literally became a vegetarian because he was upset when he realised how awful farm animals were being treated. It's very obvious he cares deeply about others and I find it strange when people think he doesn't. He's Robin for a reason. This boy searched Gotham's sewers for a few of Martha's missing pearls to gift to Bruce. Damian has a heart of gold, it was just damaged for a long time so he didn't know how to treat people at first. In his early days in the family, he was horrible simply because he was raised that way. That's how he had been treated and therefore learned that's how he should treat others. It wasn't until he had the influence of the wider world and was actually treated with love by his family that he was able to unlearn those behaviours and explore that part of him that did want to help others and be kind, to explore his empathy.

Diana will take Damian out to vegetarian restaurants she loves. *

Jason cooks/bakes with Alfred and they always make sure to cook/bake a vegan version of whatever they're making for Damian. Jason also likes to test out new vegan recipes on Damian.

Jason and Alfred also make a list about what foods give Damian sensory issues/What textures Damian doesn't like.

Damian also sometimes likes to cook/bake with them.

After the Pride and Prejudice book borrow event (Which is canon in my mind), Jason reorganised a small corner of his personal library in the Manor and moved his books to replace them with books Damian loves, as well as books he's read that he thinks Dami will like. Made the nook as comfortable for Damian as possible and everything there is designed with some of Damian's favourite textures and such. Like a soft faux fur rug, a really comfy chair and blanket. It's got stim toys and even a hidden mini fridge behind a panel in the book case full of water and snacks. It's so if he's hyperfixating on a good book, he can stay hydrated and stuff. Jason acts tough but is a good brother. Will spoil his siblings and make sure they have everything because he knows what it's like to have nothing.

Gay and (I'm ignoring all the time stuff and pretending him and Jon got to grow up together properly) realises when he begins to crush on Jon. In denial at first but learns to accept it because of his family (Who are 100% all queer in some way). Childhood friends to lovers.

Plays the violin and also learns piano.

Amazing artist. Bruce turns one of the guest rooms into an art studio for Damian. It's fully Damian's space and he's allowed to draw on/paint on the walls, ceilings, etc, not just the canvases. (Sidenote: I headcanon that Bruce tries to give each of his kids their own hobby room. Jason has his library, which is canon, Cass has a dance studio, Dick has one full of circus equipment and obstacles, Tim has a photography studio/gaming room, etc).

Minecraft Mondays with Tim. * Eventually all the other kids also join too and they 'force' Bruce and Alfred to play (Bruce was hoping they'd ask because he loves finding ways to spend time with them and is just happy to be there. Glad that all his kids have something in common that they love and do together. Alfred was just intrigued by it). Surprisingly Bruce is great at the game and will go get the resources so his kids can build. Will kill mobs for them all, expecially for those that are lowkey scared of them (Dick and Jason, who won't admit it). Alfred is a master builder and just disappeared somewhere on the sever. Eventually they find what he was up to and discover he built a whole kingdom by himself. He's also great at speed running the game and got to The End within the first three hours of playing. Dick is terrible at the game. Is the one that will be like 'This is fine. I'm fine' and all you see in the group chat is 'MyNameWasn'tAllowed fell from a high place', 'MyNameWasn'tAllowed tried to swim in lava', 'MyNameWasn'tAllowed was killed by a silverfish'. Babs is the redstone expert. Tim is the sever modder that finds the best mods that will work on servers and installs them for everyone. Also dabbles in redstone. Cass plays the same way Alfred does and will just dissappear, she's also a master. She likes to collect flowers and decorate the area they built. Steph is the server prankster. Duke and Damian tend to do duo quests and adventures together. Jason is the sever food producer and uses it to play farming simulator essentially. Screamed when he was jumpscared by a Creeper that blew up his wheat patch. Cass and Duke helped him rebuild out of sympathy whilst Steph typed out a laughing emoji on a sign and left if in his house. Bruce patrolls near Jason and Dick the most.

Regularly plays chess with Bruce, Alfred, Tim, and Jason. Gives lessons to Duke.

Slips into Arabic when angry and/or overwhelmed. Also when he's sleepy. There's been times where Bruce has carried him to bed and Damian has softly mumbled stuff to him in Arabic. It's usually sweet stuff he only says when he's tired. Like an 'I love you' of some kind.

Sometimes after a long patrol he doesn't really have to speak and will just reach his arms out and Bruce will pick him up to carry him to bed. If Damian's not already asleep by the time they get there, he'll stroke his hair and trace a finger down from his brow line to the tip of his nose. He's done this with all of his children.

Regularly reads bedtime stories to his pets.

Has nightmares quite often and so was hesitant to have sleepovers with Jon at first because he didn't want to be vulnerable or for Jon to see him overwhelmed and emotional if he had one. Later into their friendship he actually speaks to Jon about it and they finally have a sleepover, and then many more. He did have nightmares during some of them but Jon quickly learned how to deal with them and help Damian relax. In time, Damian starts to notice he has less nightmares when with Jon. They also happen less and less as he gets older. In their later teenage years, Jon has basically developed the skill to know when Damian is having a nightmare via his heartbeat, whether he's awake or a sleep. He'll be at the Manor within about two seconds to help Damian when they happen.

When craving cuddles, he either goes to Bruce, Dick, Jason, or, surprisingly, Steph. She's just very soft and huggable.

Has crawled into Tim's lap randomly before when Tim was at his desk. It happened after they actually started considering each other as brother's and stopped fighting as much. He didn't say anything or give a warning, just curled into him and silently played on the Nintendo Switch he brought with him. Tim was slightly taken aback at first but then just readjusted to get more comfortable and leaned back. He changed to only using one hand for his computer, and used his other to stroke Damian's back idly. It made him smile though, glad that their relationship had developed, even if they still bicker sometimes. It was moments like this that made him understand why Jay and Dick enjoy being big brothers. It was moments like this that made Tim realise people really do love him, and that there's always people worth staying for. That there's always a little brother who's gonna need you. He has a baby brother that needs him, and other siblings and a dad and granddad and friends that all need him. That would miss him. It's moments like this that makes Tim realise he doesn't think he has it in him to ever take that away from them.

Damian eventually refers to Alfred as Grandfather. Gets him and Bruce both cards and thoughtful gifts on Father's Day. Also leaves flowers on Thomas' grave. Will do the same for Martha on Mother's Day.

Bruce will check up on him (And the others) when it's Mother's Day. He tries to plan family trips/day outs for it, but will leave time to sit in his office in the morning just in case Talia calls and requests to spend time with Damian. She hasn't yet.

On holidays like Mother's Day and Talia's birthday, Damian will leave a gift by his window and then stay out of his room for a few hours. When he comes back, they're always gone. There's always a note, though, with a chocolate kiss on the top. He accepts every kiss, and saves every note. For his own birthday, he'll walk into his room to find a present on his bed. For Christmas, now that he celebrates it, Damian will set a gift by the window and leave, only to come back later and see a different one than the one he left. Every time, there's no trace of anyone entering or exiting, but he'd recognise his mother's perfume anywhere. He'll sit by his window to open his presents in case she stays to watch. She always does. When it's Christmas, she'll wait with her gift for when Damian returns, so they can open them together.

Every so often, Damian writes a letter about how his life is going to Talia but never sends them. He keeps them in a box with a small hope that one day he'll finally be able to give them to her.

Okay okay this is hopefully gonna be the last time I get annoying about the performance trio, but I offer you my hcs of the trio as highschoolers (long post ahead!)

Harrison

- Sophomore

- Oldest out of the trio but oh god, he’s such a fucking shortie 💔

- Harrison’s growth spurt kinda slowed down as soon as he got into highschool , so he gets teased by his friends for it (they do it lovingly)

- Ends up getting braces and Nerris makes fun of him for it since they don’t have to wear them anymore 😭

- Joins the drama club along with Preston and Nerris since it was one of the few electives that actually interested him. He mostly helps with setting up props and helps work the lighting

- Has a thing for Nerris and Preston but he’s fighting the bisexuality demon 😭😭

- Still is in contact with Quartermaster. Harrison still finds him.. odd, but he talks to him from time to time. They’re kind of besties.

- Harrison likes to take pictures of his friends for memory sake — he even has an album filled with pictures of them.

- He’s.. not really into magic as much as he was before since he has other things to worry about (and definitely not because his relationship with his parents is in turmoil!!)

- Is very attached to Nerris and Preston. They actually mean so much to him since they’re one of the few people that actually care about him, but he doesn’t know how to express it well 🙁

- I imagine he probably would gain a good amount of weight after attending Camp Campbell, so he’s not built like a stick anymore (and probably works out a lil’)

- Actually knows how to cook!! He doesn’t like the cafeteria food (who doesn’t?) at all, so he makes his own meals whenever he can

- He verbally stims whenever he’s walking home and he sees a random cat on the street, often saying ‘meow meow’

- Has a resting bitch face, but he’s actually a sweetheart 😭 he just doesn’t know how to express himself in general

- Sometimes crashes at Nerris’s place since his home life in general is emotionally exhausting to the point where he runs away from home 🙁 Harrison feels guilty about it, but Nerris always reassured him it’s not his fault

- No but seriously, he’s pretty fucking tall even though he’s like.. the youngest of the the three LOL

- Has a pretty high metabolism so she can eat a lot and still stay skinny

- Since he’s taking drama, he often likes to be casted as the protagonist of whatever play the club decides to perform. He’s also hella bossy and will get on your ass if you’re slacking

- Takes the most ugly ass photos of Harrison whenever she takes pictures of him and will slap his wrist away if he even bothers trying to delete it 😭😭

- Runs an account on InstaGram where people can send in submissions through Google Forms and talk shit about each other. It usually gets taken down, but he always makes backup accounts

- Proudly wears pansexual pride pins on his bag (also has a he/any pronouns pin). He dgaf if you find it obnoxious or not 🫶

- Always gets into online arguments on Twitter and has to make alt accounts since his ass always gets suspended 💀

- Annoys Nerris a lot whenever they see a fine ass woman or man on their TikTok fyp 😭😭 his taste is TERRIBLE and Nerris bullies him for it

- Uses so many emojis and italicizes his texts a lot when he chats with people online like this✨✨

- Actively writes fanfiction on ao3 😭

Nerris

- Also a freshman

- Also pretty tall, but not as tall as Preston. But still taller than Harrison.

- Nerris isn’t really interested in drama (she just chose it as an elective to hang out with friends), but does enjoy acting as one of the characters whenever they do rehearsals.

- Wears converses and NOTHING ELSE 😭

- Loves talking shit about people with Preston A LOT 😭😭 they both have so much beef with people..

- Uses she/they/elf pronouns

- Gets along with Harrison way better compared to when they were campers. Elf likes to tease Harrison from time to time, but elf knows to not go too far

- Nerris is that one person on discord to send in something so out of pocket and automatically delete it afterwards 😭😭 Preston always takes screenshots and everyone goes wild

- Likes to use emoticons, especially these (*^_^*), ٩( ᐛ )و, (^ ^)

- Even though they have other interests, they still like to host DND sessions!! They usually like to invite Nikki, Neil and Harrison over to their house to play!

- She likes to collect dolls and figures as a hobby! She even has a little ‘shrine’ for them

- Owns a blog on tumblr where elf info dumps about elf interests and does write fanfic from time to time on it!

- Sometimes likes to mess and play around with Harrison’s hair, it’s just therapeutic for her

What is it with Tally Hall's Good and Evil album and songs that go super hard towards the end? Like the beginnings are good too but I get to the end and I'm fully stimming

& - Big Bad Betty of the 'pocalypse etc. etc. It's a huge head bopper ending

You & Me - the "you turn away and around" part, especially when superimposed with lines from the chorus

Who You Are - another Rob song that superimposes catchy ending lines with some from the chorus

Hymn for a Scarecrow - so they circle AND FLY! (and fly, fly, fly until the keyboard goes insane and so do I) ((ok sure it's not at the end end but it's still towards the end and I want to count it so I'll count it))

The Trap - but it's ON! OOON! OOON! OOON! OOON! OOON! OOON! OOON! OOON! OOONNNNNN! (It feels like fireworks in my head, I want to listen to this part on repeat forever)

Out in the Twilight - Collect yourself and move into the street!! The rest of our entire life is free!! :D !!

Never Meant to Know - I can't fully count it cause it has a pretty standard bridge-into-the-chorus ending. But the bridge and the "There are some things we don't understand/ Reasons on the other hand" resolution bait have my tummy full of butterflies, so <3

Misery Fell - the instrumental bridge gives me the impression that it's gonna land into something a bit quicker paced. Still I like the extended chorus, reminds me of the last chorus in High Hopes by Pink Floyd, like a joyful collection of photos

🌻 Mindfulness & Gratitude 🕊️

Hello you guys!

In light of some recent developments and discoveries concerning my mental health, I wanted to share some tips, tricks and advice that help me personally improve my mindset and over all mental health.

Disclaimer: I am in no way shape or form a mental health professional. These are just my personal experiences with some strategies, that I partially learned in therapy. If you are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, dissociation or any other mental health disorder, seek help from a professional or help-hotline!

Mindfulness 🤍

If you're not familiar with the concept of mindfulness, let me give you a really quick and probably bad rundown, (honestly, please look it up, I can't guarantee I'm even remotely doing this justice): Mindfulness means consciously making yourself aware of your surroundings. This is most commonly achieved by focussing one sense on the space around you and describing what you perceive without judging it. This can help ground you, lower anxiety and stress levels and in my personal experience it makes life feel a little less stressed and fast.

Gratitude Journalling 🧚‍♂️

This is something I've touched on in past posts, but can't recommend enough. (I have to admit though, I haven't been journalling as consequently as I used to, but I try not to beat myself up about it). The way I currently go about it is a) using it as a strategy for bad days to consciously focus on the good in my life or b) periodically as a "self help program" for around a week to boost my long-term mindset.

Happiness Journal 🌻

I don't know if it's my ADHD, my BPD or just my personality, but I can get childishly excited about things. In these moments my reactions can range from smiling from one ear to the other to jumping and skipping around like a little child and in this state I don't think of anything else but what I'm excited about. (Especially triggered by sunflowers, stress squish balls and cats' foot prints). For those moments (to whatever degree you may experience this) I recommend keeping track of the thing that caused this happiness. This isn't a regular practice, but rather something you do whenever you stumble upon such a thing. You can do this in different ways, be it a small physical journal, a photo album on your phone, a voice recorder, whatever works for you.

Meditation 🌱

And last but not least, I've recently been trying to attempt meditation more often. What helped me a lot with it was realising that you don't necessarily have to sit still. You can have a fidget near you or rhythmically rock from side to side or tap your foot if you struggle with stimming while meditation or if you want to try something completely new, look into movement meditation techniques.

I SURE DO I SURE DO YES YES I DO!!!!!

I have almost 500 pictures of this man on my phone in their own special little album and a huge amount of them are my own drawings. The only reason I don't have even more photos in that album is that I look for more all the time and at this point I could search for hours and not find a single image I've not seen before. All my friends know me as THE Earl Guy and they all send me images of him and I usually get any new image of him at least three times at once because of how notable my Earl Reputation is. I've absorbed the majority of my personality from him down to my vocabulary and tone without even intentionally doing so. I have specific stim phrases and motions because of his influence alone. If I ever entered a real life hotel I could potentially faint. I heard someone say "grandmaster" in a normal context once and I started shaking. I think of him almost every moment of every day without exaggeration and when I don't I get sad so I start thinking of him again. This bingo board cannot convey my mental illness over this man. I'm THE Earl Guy ever. He's everything to me. He's my favourite PNG in the whole world

A Gift For Hongjoong

An ATEEZ fanfic by AbsentCaryatid

Summary: Hongjoong bites Yeosang and Mingi. San bites Yeosang. Wooyoung befriended Yeosang with a bite. And here are even more examples thanks to Sorikkung. As a day care teacher attending a fan meet, you hope you have the knowledge to rescue your favorite idol from the preferred love language of his members.

It was so exciting. This was the first time you had been able to attend an ATEEZ fan meet. When you discovered in advance that gifts to the artists were permitted, there was only one thing on your mind. Sitting before Hongjoong, you spoke while he signed your album. “May I give you this present?” He looked up and saw a packaged necklace pressed to the clear barrier. At his nod, you slid it through the small opening below. You could tell he was being polite at the pastel silicone jewelry more the style of a preschooler than an idol.

In your last moments before shifting down the line you explained, “I don’t know how much you are playing it up for the cameras when biting members but you might like to try this. These are used at my day care. It is a stim toy meant to be chewed on.” Now you had his attention. “I want to keep the other members safe. Just because they are your coworkers and dorm mates does not mean you can be attacking them. Yeosang is a favorite of mine and to have seen both you and San gnawing on him has gotten me worried. I recall Wooyoung saying he befriended Yeosang with biting too.”

To Hongjoong's right, Seonghwa, with whom you had already had a pleasant and completely appropriate conversation, stifled a laugh. As the fan to your own right moved on, Yunho caught the end of your discussion now that he was available and agreed the gift was most appropriate and needed. Hongjoong's response of a guilty laugh was telling. Time over, you began to get up to change chairs. In a surprise move Hongjoong asked you to wait.

Worried you were holding up the line, you figured when one of the idols themselves kept you there longer it was okay. Still, teacher that you were, being fair to the other fans was on your mind. You spoke quickly, mentioning that everybody had to take their turn. Recognizing your effrontery you then apologized. “I know, I know, I should not be lecturing you, again no less. It was inappropriate of me to do this to you.” Hongjoong smirked and said you were forgiven. “Clearly you are a teacher, and probably a very good one. Your students are lucky to have you.”

Humbled by the praise, you thanked Hongjoong then seated yourself across from Yunho. The tallest member continued to grin from the way you had fearlessly reprimanded his leader and he thanked you for it. The rest of the signing was uneventful and you left wondering if your behavior, no matter how justified you felt it was, would get you banned from any further ATEEZ events. Luckily nothing of the sort came to pass.

Just a few days later you were pleased to spot the colorful necklace dangling from Hongjoong's lips in a fan cafe selfie. Your week of good fortune continued with a second interaction with Hongjoong, this time in a video meet. Talking live over the computer, you felt a little disappointment he was not wearing the stim toy again today. But really, how could you expect that of him? Spotting it in the photo once should have been enough for you.

Seeing your face on screen, Hongjoong brightened and called out, “Teacher,” in recognition. Thanking you again for the gift, he reported it was so successful that he had bought them for the rest of ATEEZ. There was also a far more fitting white one for himself doubled on his wrist which he proudly held in view. It was dotted with vibrant splotches of color and he caught your wondering look. “I did not reform it with marker but stained it with mouth safe food coloring instead.”

In a following day, his gifts for the other members made appearances being put to use in a V Live chewed on while San and Wooyoung were reading fan comments on the phone. In the background Mingi could be seen holding a necklace stretched between his hands. He watched in shock as he pulled the silicone too far and it flew from his grasp, sailed across the room, and struck Jongho in the chest as he read nearby.

Retaliation came quick as the youngest member returned fire then took off his own necklace. Swinging it around, he began a duel with Mingi, the men slapping the jewelry against each other. Stronger of the two, Jongho was really landing some hits on Mingi who you hoped was yelping playfully rather than in pain. So much for keeping members safe with your stim toy idea.

As for today though, Hongjoong waved Seonghwa into frame since he was between fan calls. Seonghwa smiled to see you again as he ran his fingers along the pastel jewelry gracing his neck. “Although Hongjoong's biting was becoming a problem, I was afraid I was going to miss the attention I was getting from him, even though it was painful.” Hongjoong smiled devilishly, then dove like a vampire for Seonghwa's neck, nibbling along the bead strand. Beaming as he spoke, Seonghwa concluded, “Turns out, the chew toy is just as useful to protect the wearer.”

You put a hand up and tried to form a response, but truly there was nothing to say to that. You were not about to let the kids in your care use the stim toys to bite on each other safely but as long as it was working for Hongjoong and Seonghwa, you were happy for them. Hopefully, Yeosang was finding the necklaces just as much of a benefit, however his teammates might be putting them to use.

As if in answer, Yeosang's voice could be heard off-camera. “Is that the day care teacher again?” At Hongjoong's nod, Yeosang came into view. He had apparently bought out the chewable stim toy selection from a whole store and now wore three necklaces on his neck, two on each wrist, and had tied many others together forming two bandoliers across his chest in addition to a belt. It would not surprise you if he was wearing ankle bracelets from the same material as well. Crowing, Yeosang declared, “I'm safe at last! Thank you for introducing us to this idea.”

Incredulous, you asked him, “Saying 'No' to your members was not an option?”

“Where's the fun in that?” With a laugh, Yeosang then ran off-screen as Wooyoung streaked by chasing him before a loud crash was overheard followed by a lot of giggling.
