Percy: (confused) Grover, am I seeing this right? That’s just spider and not some monster in disguise?

Annabeth: Children of Athena and spiders are mortal enemies. My mother cursed Arachne, the mother of spiders, after she made a tapestry that insulted the gods. Since then spiders go out of there way to hunt Athena’s children.

Percy:So I guess there are no children of Athena in Australia then?

Annabeth: (glares at Percy) no.

Grover: (goes to scoop up spider) If you ever walk by Cabin 6, it smells amazing. All the lavender and cinnamon, and peppermint, and rose, and eucalyptus, plus the whole cabin is made of Cedar. It’s like that to keep spiders away. There you go little guy (Grover releases spider back into the wild).

Percy: Is that the minty smell coming from your bag? I thought you had gum and just didn’t want to share.

Ok, I've gotta do this.

Will's favorite oreo flavor is the golden oreo, that's literally canon now. So what flavors do the other characters like best?

Nico: I think it's pretty obvious; the classic oreo. Though he prefers to dunk them in coffee rather than in milk.

Frank: Probably the maple creme flavor... Because Canada.

Percy: It's gotta be the blueberry pie ones. Or any other flavor with blue dye in it.

Rachel: Double delight. Yes, it's been discontinued. But she makes do by twisting open some double chocolate oreos and smearing peanut butter on them.

Annabeth: I'm gonna go ahead and say mint chocolate. I have this headcanon that she likes anything scented or flavored like peppermint, because it deters spiders.

Piper: Cherry cola oreos. I don't know why, it just sounds right.

Hazel: Chocolate hazelnut oreos. It has her name on them!

Leo: Hot cocoa oreos. Not as good as actual hot chocolate, but still pretty good.

Jason: Lemon or key lime. Idk he just seems like a lemon-lime kinda guy. A real citrusy dude.

Reyna: Doesn't normally go for sweets, but if she had to pick, it'd probably be the oreo cookies by themselves. She just scrapes the creme off.

‘So this is love?’- Ron Weasley Headcannons!!

• Ron had met you since the very beginning of first year. He actually had met you on the train along with Harry and Hermione. You two were good friends from that moment on.

• He had asked you out in your 3rd year and shocking enough, you guys had somehow made it to your final year together. Now of course there were ups and downs and times you guys almost broke up, but there had always been something or someone to put you two back together.

• Ron was like your oxygen, and you were his. You two were never seen without each other, always attached at the hip. Along with the whole Lavender situation, she got the hint quite quickly that he was taken whenever she saw you with him time and time again.

• Him and the twins enjoy pulling small, stupid little pranks on you. Such as leaving a fake plastic spider in between your folded clothes and scare you once you go to put them on. Another thing they had done was swap you conditioner bottle and shampoo bottle.

• Him and his personality were quite easy to love. Now, sometimes not so much, but he definitely makes up for it when he is not entirely being a pain.

• His family quite likes you and wishes that you and Ron stay together and hopefully get married. His mother has always treated you as her daughter as she only has one and would have liked another after Ginny. Ginny likes you because you are another girl she can finally talk to about things and it isn’t awkward. She told you all about her crush on Harry and you pushed her to tell him about her feelings.

• You had been apart of the Weasley family the second you chose to be friends with Ron so expect the same treatment Ron and his other’s siblings get. George and Fred will prank you to no end, steal some food from your plate just to annoy you. Meanwhile Ginny and Percy treat you kindly. Percy doesn’t acknowledge you very much, but is still kind when he sees you around- giving a smile or a small nod when he walks pasts you. With Ginny however, it’s like your new sister. Makeup, Nails, hair, therapy sleepover sessions and all!

• Once Ron joined the quidditch team, you had shown up to every game he had played and he always wore a proud little smile every time he saw you with his jacket on.

• Smells like cinnamon, pumpkin candies, old spice and peppermint toothpaste.

Some things are the same and some are kind of different since I don’t want it to be an exact copy of adventure time.

omg this is so cute!!! it got kind of long HSDHFHSD okay so for kento, for his favorite candy, i would say he's a dark chocolate enjoyer. he doesn't have a biggg sweet tooth, but he enjoys it from time to time, so maybe something like hershey's kisses!! favorite snack, definitely a pastry from his favorite bakery (does that count as a snack idk -- oh well LMAO). kento's favorite color is green <3 this one i actually got wrong bc he switched it up on me teheh. i thought it was blue, but he said it was green now bc he associates it with me <3 my eyes are hazel but they look super green in the light !! one of my favorite features of myself :)

ok for drink hear me out, i could see kento drinking something like whiskey, but idk that much about hard liquor so like... i have no specifics. but you see the vision i hope. so that's what i'd put in the basket HSDHSHD. something fancy. for non-alcholic drink, he's a coffee drinker. hmmm i do think he'd drink it black or with cream. or he'd get a latte. like nothing too sweet but he doesn't mind the milk in it. that's hard to put in a basket though....

last activity is to no one's surprise a trip to the bookstore !!! books my one true love, we cannot be kept apart <33 kento and i always do different things though, like we'll pick a book for each other or see how many we can grab in a certain amount of time etc etc to make it fun. and i feel like we both know each other pretty well!!! we're both the type of people that listen pretty closely and remember little facts about other people :)

Round 1 will be posted between Friday, January 19th and Thursday, January 25th. It will be split between 4 sets, each set being posted on a different day. There will be a total of 128 participants (32 participants in each individual set) divided in 64 polls (16 polls in each individual set). oh my god, you're covered in blood. this is the au. based on this ask.

Keyleth doesn't normally make deliveries, but Zahra is worth the exception. She's become quite the loyal customer since her move to Emon, and she enjoys her dry sense of humor. It's worth the twenty minute detour on her walk home to deliver her usual dried aconite and Keyleth's signature calming tea blend of chamomile, peppermint, and rosehips.

She follows someone into his building, then take the stairs to the second floor, where she knocks on the door labeled 2D. "Delivery!"

There's some shuffling inside, a chaotic fumbling, and then a familiar, "Uh, not a great time!"

She frowns. That's Kash's voice, she's sure of it. He's come in with Zahra a handful of times, and he's peppered Keyleth with quite a few questions about her work. "Kash, it's Keyleth! From the herbalist's? Zahra didn't pick up her order today, so I just thought I'd drop it off for her."

There's a pregnant pause, followed by a strained, "Leave it at the door, please."

Something's not right. He's an odd one, Kash, but he's not usually this...cagey. She bends down to set the paper bag just up against the door, but she knows this nagging feeling isn't ever going to leave her alone, so she tries the doorknob. "Kash?"

It's unlocked, which is weird in and of itself, so she pushes inside, hoping to help a friend in distress.

At this point, slipping in through Keyleth's bedroom window is old hat for Vax. He'd prefer to walk in through the front door—it's degrading, sneaking around like he's a teenager and not well into his second century—but an encounter with her bitchy vampire hunter roommate is not what he needs right now. He stretches out on her bed, thumbing through a trashy romance novel she checked out from the library as he waits for her to get home.

He's so engrossed in the surprisingly complex political plot line of this bodice ripper that he almost doesn't hear her enter the room. It's the soft snick of the door shutting behind her that pulls his attention away from the book. "Hey, this is actually pretty good once you get past—holy fucking shit."

Her face scrunches up as her hands start to flap in his direction. "Quiet! I don't want Percy to hear."

Vax launches himself to to his feet. "You're worried about Percy? Keyleth, you're covered in blood."

She sighs, as if his pointing it out is an inconvenience for her. "Yes, I am." She shuffles over to her closet and begins rummaging around.

He feels like the back of his head is going to explode. It's all over her, caked onto her arms, splashed up into her hair. He can smell it, rich and warm and sweet and hers. He swallows thickly. "Do you care to share why?"

She pauses, her back to him. "No." She continues to pull out a change of clothes.

Well into his second century, and he's never met someone as inscrutable as her. "Keyleth, fuck, are you hurt?"

He knows the quiet no is a lie before she says it. There's a stiffness to her movements, a tenderness clearly borne of pain. He comes up behind her, put his hands over hers to stop their movement. "Keyleth." She looks at him, exhaustion seeping into every corner of her face. "Please, talk to me."

He can see them now, a few slash marks through the sleeves of her denim jacket, the source of all of the blood. His heart hasn't beat in many decades but he swears he can feel it racing now, feel its roaring fury in his chest. "Who did this to you?" He tries to keep the trembling rage from his voice, but he knows he fails.

"It was an accident."

"That's not an answer."

"Look, it looks a lot worse than it is, okay? I promise." She puts her hands on either side of his face, and for a moment, he must hold his breath to keep out the delicious aroma of her blood on her skin. "You trust me to keep your secret, yeah?" He nods; he trusts her with every dead bone in his body. "Then trust that other secrets are just as worth keeping."

His teeth long to tear into something, to rend someone's flesh for this. "Are you saying another vampire did this?"

She snorts. "Definitely not." She presses her lips to his, and fuck, she tastes divine. "I'm going to get cleaned up, put some of my healing poultice on this. I'll be fine by morning, I promise." She gathers up her clothes and disappears into her bathroom, leaving Vax stunned and seething. He may not yet know who harmed her, who spilled her blood and left her to limp home, but when he does, he will become every bit the ruthless monster the man in the other room of this apartment knows him to be.

Ttte Headcanon #10

If some of the major engines were human, here's what they'd probably like to drink:

-Thomas and Toby would both probably like Builder's Tea, though Thomas would like his on the stronger side, whilst Toby likes milk with his.

-Edward is fond of Scottish Breakfast Tea, since it's quite a bit stronger than English Breakfast Tea, and it keeps Gordon from knicking his tea. A dash of honey from the Vicarage orchard is all he needs for it.

-Gordon prefers English Breakfast Tea, as it's "the only proper tea to start the day". A squeeze of lemon and a lump of sugar is his preference.

-Henry, before the Flying Kipper Accident, tried every strange kind of herbal tea available for his maladies, growing a fondness for ginger and mint teas with a helping of honey. After the accident, he cut back on honey, but retained his liking for herb teas.

-James prefers White Peony tea, barely using any sugar for it. Some of the other engines say that it makes him slightly less tolerable to be around, but he pays it no notice.

-Percy usually has Peppermint tea, not necessarily because of the taste, but because he believes it's the secret to his loud 'wheesh'.

-Both Duck and Diesel prefer coffee over tea, however neither likes how the other makes it; Duck likes his with a bit of sugar and lemon so his voice is a bit refreshed, while Diesel prefers it as is: black and bitter.
