My gift for the @technoblade-gift-exchange !! i was assigned to @simplepotatofarmer who asked for dsmp rivals duo. i hope you like it Loyal!

rambling about headcanons, designs, and my process and stuff under the readmore, because i wanna talk about it but dont want the post to be super long !!

i had originally planned to not have a background and then at the last second i decided to speedrun drawing one in a few hours so um. quality difference but its fine. also unrelated but im pretty sure everything about how i draw animals and anthros makes it very obvious i used to be in the warrior cats fandom lol. anyway onto the designs!!

the gold on techno is scars from the totem at the execution, which i think is a pretty common thing for techno designs. he isnt supposed to be a piglin, but rather similar species of anthropomorphic pig. also his mane and tail fluff are naturally brown but he dyes them pink ^_^ so cool !! um. i maaayyy have forgotten the crown until i was way too far into the piece to add it. haha. oops. pretend its missing because. uuh. hes in a casual outfit. "but he still has the cape" yeah its comfy. "but dream has a mask thats not casual" dream is dream he does Not relax fully ever. see entirely intentional i would never make a mistake.

dream is an original shapeshifter species i came up with because i couldnt decide what i wanted him to be. i havent decided on a name for the species yet but i plan to make almost every solid-color or nearly solid color mcyt into this species. theyre mostly involuntary/unconscious shapeshifters. so like they change slowly over weeks or months to adapt to their surroundings, with little conscious control. basically i wanted him to be like five different things so i shoved them together lol, rabbit ears but in a pattern that looks like an axolotl, a cool tail, TOE BEANS tho you cant see them. this was actually the first time ive ever had a dream design im happy with so thats really nice.

i um. i made full use of my time lol, i spent a bit over a week on the lineart, another week on the coloring, and maybe a week and a half on rendering. unless i suddenly became shit at math(which is possible) that adds up to roughly the amount of time i had to work on it. im really proud of myself actually since i usually take a while to do art, and i wasnt sure i would be able to make something id be happy with in this amount of time. but i did! woah!! this was my first time participating in a fandom gift exchange and it was so fun, and also helped motivate me to draw more instead of getting distracted like i usually do (classic adhd moment) lol. anyway super cool!!

Loyal if u decided to read all this for some reason then again i really hope u like it!! u are so cool and i really love ur rivals duo opinions and creations so i hope u like this! i know theres been shit happening lately, i hope ur doing ok!!

as u can probably tell i did not pump out much art this month and the little i did do besides the big project is a lil basic or just working shit out, but erm, it's not Nothing, so thats good...!

1 - 01/11/2023 : my half of an art trade with @toxicbunny from last year, i never posted it here oops, but its of her OC Luan <333 he was so fun to draw and im super happy with the results, esp playing around with texture a bit

2, 3 - 18/11/2023 : some random headshots of Heidi n Jasmine, think with Jasmine i was trying somethin a lil different with her hair

4 - 18/11/2023 : pen doodles.... a bit of trying to figure out some more human ttte designs, not perfect ofc, still naawt concrete on any kind of James design, like i know how he looks, but drawing hard </3 Thomas is also there hehe

5 - 18/11/2023 : another Heidi :D i think i wanted to draw her with her hair up like that, erm, i forget, but hey JTHM shirt, very epic, it was on my mind, i had the silly idea post-drawing this that she has insomnia and the shirt is an inside joke, coz she thinks shes funny

6, 7 - 18/11/2023 : (only by a margin coz i was drawing late again) lil human Diesel pen doodles again, this time we're doing the REDESIGN!! almost there anyway. mostly just a redesign of his hair somewhat, also Philip is just there (much like the show (jk i kinda love Philip for no reason other than hes a little guy)) not much to say here other than drawing bad on purpose is fun x

8 - 25/11/2023 : was thinking about book covers, forgot why, but also on the name of my story for Ru, Toni, those fellows, usually i just call it Violet, but i feel maybe its a bit, nothing, idk, like its not catchy enough, so i have another idea of expanding it into You, me, & Violet, and heres a quick mockup of what a book cover for it could look like.. u can tell i got graphic design qualifications from the late 2010s x (shut up i luv this doodle)

9-11 - 25/11/2023 : Robin redesigns.. again.. just some concept doodles, mostly just a change to his hair and his top, i thought adding more colour was essential, so, he'd usually wear like minty green colour trainers, i made those and, by extension, his jumper, the same blue colour, which isn't Too blue, it's still a little bit greeny, very slightly, just for some harmony in his design.. will need to draw more of this concept to really get a concrete final design

He smirked. With a sudden burst of confidence he walked towards the leather sofas where a young girl with long, black hair was seated, clearly enjoying the song and her drink. She seemed safe as he quickly scanned her body language: Legs slightly spread, lounged on her back engulfed in the soft plush of the sofa underneath her, head tossed back, eyes dreamy and cheeks flushed from drinking. “Foreigners…”He thought biting his lower lip with his sharp teeth poking at the parched skin. He threw himself onto the seat, an action which made the girl jump from her seat upon the sudden impact, turn her head around with a frown twisting her soft features and stare at the intrusive, purple-head that decided it was a good idea to scare her. She spilled a good amount of her drink on the floor, luckily for her none of it managed to get on her clothes.

“The fuck!?” She whined, tiny lips pressed together and brows furrowing at the smirking individual, who seemed anything but ashamed of his actions. He sprawled his legs in the infamous “man spread” that everyone and their grandmother in this generation knew of and despised, arms widely stretched along the seat, one crawling behind the girl, gripping her upper arm tightly as she scooted next to her. She seemed to not enjoy it at first, legs quickly pulling together as she was ready to jolt and leave at any given moment, although once feeling his cold skin make contact with hers she relaxed, doe-like eyes looking up into his. He had that stare that Trinity despised and she couldn’t get out of her mind as she walked away from the club making her way outside from the crowd.

LONG POST WARNING MOSTLY TEXT IM SO SORRY HFDSHFSDHFS nonnie u set me off smh. fool. goofball. VERY sorry to everyone who spots this in tags: i am tagging it for my own organization purposes. weeps

nib uses it/its pronouns! originally it was it/they, but the preference for "it" prns is so strong that i just eliminated the "they" option for the most part. :]

as for fave pokemon: it can't really Pick a Favorite, though its favorite TYPE of pokemon is bug types, followed closely by ghost! it had a ninjask and a shedinja before the events of hisui, and it also had an orbeetle, and if nib HAD to pick a favorite pokemon it'd probably choose orbeetle!!! (this applies specifically to pre-hisui nib, of course, because it doesn't remember any of its life or its pokemon during the events of hisui.)

its own orbeetle isn't actually a battle pokemon at all, even though they do sometimes train together in fights for fun. orbeetle's singular role was as a service pokemon, fully trained and licensed. it used its psychic powers to translate nib's sign language for people who don't understand sign language.

its favorite pokemon in hisui miiiight be sneasel or weavile (WEAVILE COUNTS), though that's a hard turn from its usual preferences and nib is very uncertain. it adores kriketune and parasect, and it LOVES its typhlosion, and its espeon wisteria is a big fave as well.

i went and immediately tried to go overboard with nib content, because im. sighs. i dont limit myself ever. so instead of real actual doodles ur getting two janky-ass thumbnailed comic pages at an extremely low resolution because i thumbnail at super low resolutions lmao. i'll explain what's going on (and i do plan on finishing them soon, brain be willing) and im not sticking it below a cut because this is MY blog and i do what i WANT. i am sorry to disappoint wrt doodles tho fhfdhHFDHFSD

so. page one is ingo and emmet sitting on a couch in their shared apartment, probably talking about trains, when they get a knock on their door. and that's probably when they realize, like, ah, shit, it's late. emmet answers it and is met with a nervous-looking nib! i didn't draw it, but orbeetle is probably there. emmet greets nib, nib apologizes for disturbing them and asks if he knows sign language, and emmet happily signs and speaks an affirmative, then asks if nib needs him to sign.

in the second page, nib explains (via sign) that it can hear fine, then proceeds to ask them to please be a little quieter because its parents are getting annoyed, then apologizes. emmet reassures it that it's okay and that they'll keep it down, nib thanks him, and then nib leaves. the final three pages are emmet feeling SOOO awkward and embarrassed as he closes the door, and then he looks at ingo like "bro we are so loud" and ingo is just like "ah. oops."

ANYWAY SO. UM. NIB.... LIVED IN UNOVA BEFORE IT GOT DRAGGED TO HISUI. it is actually next door neighbors with ingo and emmet, and they never really interacted beyond polite nods and smiles and ingo complimenting nib's ninjask once, to which nib got embarrassed and it bolted lmao. but after the events of that thumbnail comic, ingo spots nib the next day and approaches to apologize for the noise again, and nib is like "its ok i actually like overhearing you talk about trains!!!" and then asks them to confirm some fact it overheard them discussing, and that causes ingo to infodump a bit right then and there.

they become friends for realsies after that. :] nib is, like, 13 at this point in time, and it gets yoinked to hisui when it's 14, but that whole year before then is spent hanging out and having tea with ingo and emmet sometimes and Infodumping About Trains. while ingo and emmet's special interests wrt trains is geared a little bit more towards the history of unova's trains and nimbasa's subway system, nib's special interest is focused more on train engines and types.

ingo and nib see one another for the first time in hisui and, although neither of them have their memories, they absolutely find some strange sense of familiarity in one another. nib thinks it might be because ingo is the only person in all of hisui who knows the sign language nib knows, and ingo doesn't know What to think

there's a lot im leaving out but i kind of. broke the rules and rambled more than i drew. im sorry hfdhhfds thank u for this ask :']

op I am pleading for you to talk about c!Schlatt I keep getting interrogated for saying c!Schlatt was the best president and he really didn't do anything super terribly wrong please talk about him

i mean... im sorry anon but idk abt best PRESIDENT. manburg under schlatt.... kind of sucked imo JFKDLSJFKL

1. manburg had massive food shortages, to the point the average citizen (including fundy) had to eat spider eyes to survive.

2. he imposed ludicrious tax of his civillians (namely niki. we dont know if he did that to Every Business like w fundy or if he targeted niki specifically bc of her closeness to the ex-president, but neither is good)

3. exiled those who he saw as political opponents to keep his power

4. straight up ignored his cabinet a lot of the time to make his own decisions (such as destroying the white house, which led to quackity leaving)

5. was widely hated by all the citizens. literally at one point all the ppl left in manburg was schlatt and jack manifold (who was MIA on the server and left to found Manifold Land when he came back)

6. held a public execution, AGAIN without the consent or knowledge of his cabinet (IF I REMEMBER RIGHT. i know big q opposed the execution at minimum, but idk for sure if he knew it was planned at all before the festival)

7. was basically at war his entire presidency thanks to pogtopia's existence

and thats just what i can think of rn! the reasons i like c!schlatt are fully based around him as a character and HIS personal development, not around his policies or actions. especially when compared to the other two presidents, who either won or prevented a war and kept the majority of its citizens happier and healthier than Manburg, he's.... probably the worst president they had tbh

BUT since you gave me an excuse to ramble abt him anyway, i wanna go on abt what i DO like abt him (under a cut bc this post is already kinda long oops) but

tldr; i like schlatt bc of his relationships with others, his flaws and pitiable moments, and how he is a fantastic parallel/foil to the characters around him

I like his complex (and yes, abusive) relationship with quackity, especially after his death and quackity's feelings flipping rapidly between hating him and missing him. but before that they did have a honeymoon-esque period-- at least from quackity's view.

watching their date you get the idea schlatt mightve never really been interested in him and mightve just been using quackity's interest in him for his own advancement! but we dont know.

maybe he did truly love quackity in his own fucked up way in the end, even if he wasnt a good person. maybe he regrets his actions and cruelty. or maybe he doesnt.

in the end they were (like the animatic i linked said) "built from the same dirt", they're both incredibly ambitious and prideful people and parallel each other a LOT (see: q's need for power, his want to execute ranboo paralleling tubbos execution, etc). they're not good for one another, but i love seeing just how they fall apart together (i hope you die, i hope we both die kind of beat)

and.... god his relationship and impact w fundy i could ramble abt all day dude. fundy kept schlatt's sword after his death and calls it an heirloom. we dont know 100% how old fundy was when wilbur was exiled (i mena... he ran for president but current fundy is like 20something and tommy ALSO ran as vp at 16) but we can assume he was a late teen. his own father was gone, but schlatt... seemed to CARE. he showed him affection.

fundy's never truly felt like hes BELONGED anywhere (even the country his father said was all for him, he felt ostracized and made different by his fathers doting babying) and because of that hes always looking for a group to be a part of. hes a people pleaser (its part of why hes so easy for big q to get for las nevadas).

and schlatt GIVES him that feeling of belonging he deserves. hes a spy the entire time, yes, but he becomes conflicted about it as time goes on.

could schlatt just be using fundy and filling his head with empty praise? sure, i couldnt fault you at all for that interpretation, its perfectly valid. BUT, i dont think so. he seemed genuinely shocked to see fundy oppose him on nov 16th. remember, he didnt know fundy was a spy.

in that moment he realizes just HOW alone he is and always has been. and its a tragic moment: the last person he had, the person he himself mightve truly CARED about left him just like everyone else. he was alone, truly and fully. even his allies were only there out of obligation and bc of him paying.

he knows his health has been failing him. he cant even swim due to muscular issues but he refuses see a doctor about it because he refuses to let himself be seen as weak.

hell, one could argue that issue leads to his abraisive and abusive behavoir in relationships: he refuses to let himself be true and genuine to anyone, there always has to be a wall and a proud perfect persona. its part of why hes a great villain both in narrative and to watch as a casual fan: just like c!wilbur, he's playing an act.

hes a foil and a parallel to wilbur. both are men who hide their true selves behind a certain role or persona they feel they have to play while they hide their crumbling health (schlatt's more physical and wilbur's more mental). both experience their rise and fall. but wilbur isnt despised, even if he thinks he is, while schlatt isnt truly loved by anyone, even if he thinks he is.

most of all, their deaths couldnt be more different. wilbur went out with a bang. a large dramatic scene fit for a storybook, with a long monologue and cinematic final blow ALL made to fit how he saw himself in a story and simply filling a required roll. but schlatts death is practically overlooked (especially in comparison to wilburs death and everything else that happened that day).

he built his entire persona about being this massive, larger than life powerful guy but he died small, weak, and frail to his own failing body. its... pitiful, honestly. it doesnt feel fitting, it feels wrong. his life up that point demanded drama, but his death was nothing more than... an accident, almost. unintentional. clumsy. its fucking brilliant.

life update i guess? since i kinda disappeared there lol whoops. anyways.

the guy who ruined my hot girl summer is still my boyfriend and he finally slept over for the first time last week and my booty hole was devirginized and let me tell you the only thing better than leaking cum from one hole is leaking from two. ugh i love him. and i told him that! and he didnt freak out! i was like "oops did i make things weird" and he was like "nah you're allowed to express your feelings however you want" and then cuddled with me all night and things have continued as normal like he's still super affectionate and everything so im calling it a success. ugh what a sweetheart. he slept over last night too and we spent today together literally doing nothing. we fucked of course but other than that we drank tea, i fed him raspberries, he called me cute, and basically we just enjoyed existing around each other. it was really nice until he had to leave for work but hey i got *another* sleepover so i dont really have anything to complain about lmao

aka I was unable to control myself and these guys happened. I’m not adding them to my Self-Imposed Challenge but they may get some headshots, I mean Nakhil already has one with his stepbrothers and Audouin may be getting one soonerish.

Just having this post so I can keep track since there’s like...a lot now. They’re more or less listed chronologically from slightly oldest addition (as in i thought of them almost immediately after typing up my challenge) to the most recent. Content in [ ] are specifically my meta thoughts.

EDIT 6/27/2021: Kiyo (formerly Seine)’s info here is now mostly outdated. Also belated but Gina’s info here is also outdated but hers wasnt really set in stone to begin with

Jason & Camille Pensée-Lino

Grant and Viola’s twins

Jason is the older twin, Camille is younger twin. Camille identifies as genderqueer

Kinda typical outgoing-reserved twin dynamic

[Had always been meaning to give Grant (and Viola) children since Siebold and Valerie have kids. Wanted all three of this trio to have kids that hang out and spend time together]

Both of them are more likely to be into artistic stuff, though they need more development in general.

Shank, Amber, and Umi Mizoguchi

Brawly and Roxanne’s children

Shank is the eldest son, his real name “Hagi” is in honor of Old Man Briney who passed away a year before he was born. Amber is their only daughter and her real name is “Kohaku” which is basically just ‘amber’ in Japanese. Umi is their youngest son and kinda happened on accident but they love him.

[Honestly all three of them just suddenly snuck up on me but I am committed, plus always need some more Hoenn kids]

Shank is into water sports but mainly surfing and sailing. Amber works for Devon Corp either during or after becoming the next Rock-type Gym Leader. Both of them probably have ties to the reformed Team Aqua and Team Magma, respectively. I still need to develop what the former villain teams are up to during fankid era

Umi is just baby but that can change if/when I decide to get more invested in this family

Daphné Carnet

Diantha’s adopted daughter

[I wanted a fankid to carry on the “Carnet” surname and didn’t feel like having Ilima and Mina’s kids change theirs and I had always been toying with giving Diantha a daughter]

She has a bit of a backstory already! A super tldr is she was a runaway from a bad household and had befriended Diantha a year or two before getting formally adopted by her. A bit like Emma’s background really.

Also is another reincarnation kid and there’s more relevant drama with the circumstances of her past life.

[The next four boys also have more detailed and unnecessarily drama-filled backstories]

Nakhil Ali-Campwright

Raihan’s son

[I just went wild one night and decided to throw some more drama at Raihan and also kinda wanted a younger sibling for Eric and George.]

He was the result of a one-night stand that Raihan didn’t know resulted in a baby until Nakhil’s mom was arrested and the young infant was found severely neglected. This all caused quite the scandal for Raihan.

[Also he kinda exists to have Milo and Raihan have something to bond over (aka raising a kid solo along w stress of a scandal) while unintentionally also feeding into Eric’s inferiority and guilt complex]

He does end up growing up in a loving family with his fathers and brothers! May need to develop him more but for now he’s fine as sweet baby

Seine Mandragora

Ryuki’s son

[Also another case of a kid that just snuck up on me. Though I can say it was most likely because I saw Ryuki’s actual eyes in the anime and thought it’d be a cute look on a kid of his]

He was the result of a fling/one-night stand sort of thing between Ryuki and a fan of his. Said fan was either engaged or married at the time.

Seine ended up growing up not knowing he wasn’t his dad’s son until at some point in his teens he gets caught in an argument with his parents in which oops its revealed. While the argument and drama does get resolved somehow he still gets curious and decides to meet up with his bio dad, Ryuki.

The two end up bonding like how they do in those films where the main dude suddenly becomes a father/father-figure to a troubled kid, but Seine doesn’t stay with him. They do keep in touch though.

[He doesn’t have much role beyond this little side-story and possibly encountering Astra, Hoshi, and Vivi during their Island Challenge. Possibly also ends up accompanying Chase during one of his travels in another region. Also definitely has strong affinity for Dragon-types so could do something there.]

Momo Ryouji

Lance’s much younger half-brother

[Really a result of me wanting to create a Lance kid but having trouble with the fact I don’t ship him with anyone and just didn’t feel like going the other routes I did with some other characters for this]

The result of an affair Lance’s late father had with a much younger woman, though the rest of the clan find out only after Momo’s mother dies as well. Lance’s mother knew beforehand, having met her while visiting her late husband’s grave. As much as she wanted to raise the boy herself she was also too old already. The other clan members wanted to get rid of him but Lance steps in to be his guardian.

[While a lot of him is still pretty vague and undecided I’m committed to him existing. Very tempted to have him be a sort of mish mash of Red, Green, Gold, and Silver’s traits, given that Lance also had experience being a mentor/father/older brother figure to those four. Plus like Hoenn I need more kids for Kanto and Johto]

Audouin Dulcis

Dulse and Calem’s son

[This ship has always been at the back of my mind because of how events go down in my au wherein they do get to meet and interact while in Alola. Read here for me rambling a bit about them. Anyway talking with @pokemon-legends-and-legacies and @pkmnomegaverse finally made me crack and give them a kid]

Fully taking advantage of the “bizarre alien biology/reproduction” trope for this. Specifically the current scenario is Calem just kisses Dulse’s hand and that is enough to acquire a copy of his DNA.

Dulse ends up having Audouin by himself, but single parenthood is the norm in their homeworld anyway and he’s already had experience raising Zossie (more as a younger sister but still) so he doesn’t really see it necessary to try and reconnect with Calem to tell him about their son.

Audouin takes heavily after Dulse in appearance and personality, albeit more expressive.

[Currently still going through the possible routes aka does Calem meet him or not and all the possible interactions with Calem’s other children, but so far the route appealing to me is where they end up meeting and Audouin and the Narcillard kids get along, in contrast to their not-Calem dads who can’t stand each other lmao. In any case, Dulse still mostly remains a single father but Audouin would drag them to Calem’s world spend time with his half siblings and other parent at least every four years after the initial meeting.]

Mostly Im thinking I need more Aura capable kids and a Korrina kid would be cute, plus the top candidate for her dad atm is Wally but since I have him as Hoenn Champ if he was her dad he’d be a disappeared dad who didn’t even know he was a dad

Kinda really want to go the single mom route for Korrina

I honestly don’t have much reason to be attached or invested in her at all yet, maybe if a good dynamic with some of the other kids comes up or I make a better drama backstory that I would like, idk

The GazettE in Dallas personal Live Report

I've never written one of these for a show i've been to so excuse me if it's clumsy. My concert buddies and I were aiming to get to the venue in the a.m. hours but Brittney and I took so long on hair and makeup that we didn't get there until noon. Oops.

It was Ridiculously hot and sweaty outside and I am not from Texas, i'm from near Seattle so i'm not used to it. And i didnt bring sunblock. My bf brought me some partway through the day but I still got a little burned. Met a lot of friends in the line that helped make it feel less than the 6 and a half hour wait it was. Signed the banner for the band and some Birthday cards for Reita.

The WT19 Documentary staff walked by with the camera and actually interviewed me! I thought I did well but my friends later teased me to death about talking too much and telling my whole life story so idk;;;; I still hope they use a bit of it because I didn't get in the WT16 dvd at all even though I went to LA.

I was VIP so the early entry was a lifesaver. Managed to be near the front of the merch line and actually snagged a Kai and an Uruha bear keychain. Ruki was sold out before I even saw it and Reita sold out a few people in front of me. I also got a tshirt and a hoodie but it was the bears I was REALLY hoping really bad I could get because I didn't own any yet.

And I still managed to get a really good spot after so I'm glad I didn't feel pressured to skip the merch line in favor of a spot. I wasn't directly at the barricade, i had probably 3 or 4 people in front of me. But to me it was perfect because I could see all the members without craning my neck instead of just the one close to me, and I was still way close enough to see all their beautiful faces in detail.

I don't rememeber the setlist in order whatsoever but other people posted it so. Anyway. Falling was Awesome and the first song after the intro. I was mostly distracted in awe just to be standing so close to them all. At the last show I couldn't afford VIP and I was stuck way up in a balcony. So this was just Surreal to me.

A lot of the middle is such a blur but I remember feeling like I had never smiled so wide in my whole entire life and no matter what they played I would have been happy. I was even So excited to hear Filth in the Beauty even though I usually complain about how overplayed it is. I know they played Dogma, which I heard at the last tour of course, but it was Way better being this close and personal.

Aoi is increadibly magnetic and attractive. There's no way to explain it. It's not just that he's hot- mind you, of course he Is, but.. something about him. The way he carries himself. Its hard to take your eyes off of him. The rest is pretty much what other people say, confirmed. Uruha makes a lot of Weird faces, especially during solos. But its super cute. Ruki has not gotten Any better at dancing and I wouldn't have it any other way. Kai is all smiles. Reita's always bobbing his head with the music like a little parakeet. I don't know what to say. Its all so much more touching being there to see it up close.

The last song of the encore was Tomorrow Never Dies and I was just.. crying the whole time honestly. Any final song would be a little emotional but they had to choose That one. It defeinitely got to me.

After the show VIP was immediately lining up for the meet and greet and I was confused about where to go. But we found it. I waited and took some post-show selfies with Brittney. The whole experience was just.. even more special being with my best friend after so long.

-The meet and greet.-

It was. Interesting. I was not prepared.

The line moved a lot faster than I was expecting and before I knew it my boyfriend pointed out that they were right there and Holy Shit he was right. I needed to get my gifts out of my bag and ready Pronto, because I made Ruki a drawing on the plane and I made Uruha a cute little gift bag with specially made stickers, a kitkat and a note I wrote him. (I wanted something for everyone but work got in the way and I ran out of time..) ANYWAY my baggie for Uruha got caught in the zipper of my purse. Like. Really caught bad. The line was still moving. Panic ensued. My boyfriend was behind me so i asked him to help if he could. He couldn't get it.

Then Aoi was right in front of me. The caught present would have to wait for later. I don't remember exactly what I said. A stammering excited ramble while we clasped hands. He was an amazing guitarist, beautiful, things like that. He makes eye contact. They all make good eye contact but especually Aoi. They all have soft warm hands. But each handshake passes in the blink of an eye before I can process it. My brain is a scrambled mess.

Reita. I thank him and pause briefly to think of something personal I can actually say to him. I gave an enthusiastic "You Rock", to which he smiles and agrees with a nod. "Yes!", he says. It was really cute. Probably could have said something more meaningful but at least i'm sure he understood me. Mostly everyone else got an incoherent mess of trying to say as much as I could in such a brief time period.

Ruki. I totally forget I have a present for him by the way. Im holding his hands and busy being Dazzled at how gorgeous he is in person. It's incredible. I tell him he's an amazing singer and i've always looked up to him. Throw in a few other compliments in the fleeting moment before I have to move on. Not sure how much he understands but he smiles and thanks me a couple times.

Kai. He's just glowing and beaming. Smiles so bright. Its very cute. I tell him hes an awesome drummer. I honestly forget what else I said. As I was moving between him and Uruha I remembered Uruhas stuck present. And that made me remember I was supposed to give Ruki a present. Oh shit. Panic. Reach in my bag and slide the piece of paper across the table to him. "Sorry! This is for you!" I don't mean to be chaotic I just really want him to have it. Luckily its my own boyfriend I interrupted his meeting with. Ruki seems amused and thanks me again. Hopefully he actually is and doesnt think i'm rude.

Fiddling with the god damned stuck gift bag as I step over to Uruha in a panic. Eyes wide. Stop to shake his hands. No freaking clue what I even ramble out to him I forget. Im panicking over the present because I dont have long til I have to go. I let go of his hands to fiddle with it again because I Really want him to have it. I worked really hard on it. I realize last second that i can just pull the gifts Out of the little baggie and drop them out on the table in front of him in a panic. "Kit-kat.." I drop it. He thanks me. Im sure I look like a mess. Not sure if he's frightened or flatterd by my determination as the staff starts to try to usher me along. "Stickers-!" I say as I put those down too. Really not sure he even understood what that meant. He might just think its a drawing. Don't know. But he of course thanks me. The poor staff lady is tapping at my shoulder trying to get me to leave. I still have the notecard that has to go with the stickers. I'm apologizing repeatedly to everyone involved as I finally get that to him as well and leave as quickly as possible so as to not cause chaos or hold up the line.

I get outside and meet back up with Brittney and my boyfriend who of course think the whole ordeal was Hilarious. I am mortified and I hope Uruha doesn't think i'm a lunatic. I like to tell myself he probably just thought it was funny but I have no way to know.

We all go to waffle house because its late and we are all starving. My boyfriend is in awe over how tiny Ruki is and he thinks its adorable. Brittney Genuinely misremembered and thought Ruki was sitting down at the meet and greet even though everyone else was standing?? We laugh our asses off. I'm still embarrassed but overall I had an awesome unforgettable night. I hope I didn't leave too bad of an impression. I'm sorry that was so long, i'm a writer and I like to ramble.

i fell down the wlw manhwa rabbithole last night and am now reading like 39239 different comics at once oops but i thought id take this opportunity to make a post about my fav ones!!! so here it is under the cut!!

starting with my absolute fav:

1. Tamen De Gushi (also called “their story” or “begin with your name”) GOD i love this one SO SO MUCH it was one of the very first manhwas ive ever read and it stuck with me like few others ever did!!!! the characters are absolutely lovely and delightful and there really isnt a single one of the main cast you wont love. also: absolutely INCREDIBLE artstyle which i fell in love with instantly!!! the story has been getting quite slow lately which is a bit of a shame as even before its been. quite slow hhh but ya girl loves a good slowburn so!!! im patiently waiting for every new update,,, its still on-going!!

2. Kase-san and [...] this one’s a whole series which is why theres the placeholder in the title here! its also. a manga. and not a manhwa. but its in this list anyway bc i love it sm. SO this might have been the very first wlw manga ive ever read tbh?? i remember buying it and being a little nervous and aAH. good memories!!! the stories are always quite short and theres not a whole lot of them but MAN theyre just. so wholesome and i just love the maincast to pieces,, theres also a movie out now, which deals with their relationship just after getting together and GOD i might have cried watching it oops so yeah!!! would recommend!!!!

4. Sunshine and Bright Stars JUST finished reading this one like half an hour ago and MAN this was such a nice read!!!! i gotta be honest, both the artstyle and the main characters resemble tamen de gushi a whole lot (kinda thought they shared the same author/artist but apparently not???) but its still got a whole lot of unique facettes!! once again, super cute cast!! also: this one deals with homophobia way more than all the other ones ive read which was also rly interesting to read. its got a happy end tho!!!! and what a cute one at that :((

3. Fluttering Feelings i gotta be honest i read this one over a year ago and dont remember a whole lot about it (gonna reread it the next few days!!!) but what i do remember is that i loved it so so much. this ones a bit more mature compared to the first two ones in that it takes place in college!! sadly, the artist and author passed away last year, the comic is still unfinished.

these are like!! my favs, but i still got a long long reading list hhh v excited to get through them all!!!!!

Peter and you were your way to school, that morning and you, like every other morning on the subway, were chatting with in Discord with your friends about who? Spider-Man of course.

“Peter, look what Ally just sent OH MY GOD IM WHEEZING!” You almost fall off your seat in laughter, that you just sat down in for the long ride to school, atthe viral video of T’Challa being blasted backward by Shuri.

“What?? How did she get away with that!” Peter started laughing loudly and snorting (author note: i really hope my discounted avengers get that quick reference) and then asked, “Who’s Ally?”“Oh she’s a friend from my Discord chat.”“Just a friend?”Peter nudges your shoulder, knowing you have a HUGE crush on Ally, who goes to the same school as you.“Yes! Just a friend,” you reply, blushing madly while punching Peter in the arm. Peter and you have been friends since the 3rd grade and and are always attached at the hip. You do everything together but recently, Peter’s been acting weird lately and hasn’t been in around much to hang with. You don’t think about it much though, because he is a teenage boy and who knows what they do in their free time.

It’s because I posted this story that was about Spider-man and the reader-““WHAT?! WAS IT LIKE SEXUAL AND STUFF?!?!” Peter shrieks at you. You jump in your seat and shriek right back at him. “PETER OH MY GOD NO CALM DOWN JEEZ LOU WHEEZ!”“Oh okay, cool. So 270 followers, what for Spider-man? He’s okay, I guess.”You gasp and start hitting him again.“TAKE IT BACK SPIDER-MAN IS A CINNAMON ROLL AND MY TRUE LOVE TAKE IT BACK!”Peter seriously shuts up now and gets super awkward. “But I thought you were gay?”“I’m bisexual, Peter. I like boys and girls, remember?”“Oh yeah. Okay so now that I have ten bruises on my right arm, what is Discord??”“Oh it’s a chatting app where I talk to my friends about fandoms and other things. In this chat, we talk mainly about superheroes like Spider-man.”“Oh that sounds pretty cool.”“OMG YOU WANNA JOIN DONT YOU!”“NO THAT IS NOT-“

You immediately steal his phone and begin downloading Discord, refusing to give it back until it’s done. Peter tried to take it back but you know he won’t physically try because he’s too much of a gentleman, so you successfully download the app.

“Okay so what do you want your username to be?”“Jesus Christ, (Y/N)-““jesuschrist it is. Password?”“OKAY THAT I AM NOT TELLING YOU.”You give him his phone back, laughing your ass off while he creates a password and then immediately take it back so you can add an icon for him. Of course you use a Spider-man meme, to PeterMs very obvious dissapproval. You swear you heard him say “It doesn’t even look like me.” under his breath, but you ignore it.

“Okay and how about a nickname?”“You get a nickname and a username?”“Duh.”“Ok snooty (authors note: DISCOUNTED AVENGERS REFERENCE), how about “Definitely Tony Stark”.“YES THATS PERFECT!” You exclaim with a loud shriek, scaring some passengers on the subway. “Sorry?” You whisper, as Peter chuckles next to you. “Anyway so last thing, I’m adding you to the Spider-man fan chat okay? Cool.”“WHAT?!” “Oh c’mon Peter, it’ll be fun! WhatC you scared of the little fan girls who can beat your ass?” “NO!” “Okay then! You’ll survive. You might even like it!”Peter huffs but agrees after many pouty faces and pleading.

After school that, your phones are flooded with messages in the chat and many, MANY pictures of Spider-man’s ass. Much to your excitement and much to Peter’s awkwardness. “Why are you so weird about his butt?”“But you guys are saying ‘I’D SLAP DAT ASS ANY DAY’ how am I not supposed to be uncomfortable!”“Okay, okay sorry we come on a bit strong but you’ll to like us through our bonding and undying love of Spider-boy.”“MAN, ITS MAN.”“Jeez, you act like he’s your brother of something. You do kinda both have the same body structure. Hmmm…”You think for a moment but Peter begins to smirk at you and then laugh.

“So you’re saying I have a nice body?”

You immediately regret your choice of words.“NO!”“YES YOU JUST SAID MY BODY LOOKS LIKE HIS!!”“NO! I DID NOT!”“I’m so posting this in the group chat, this is gold!” Peter exclaims, laughing so hard he snorts again.“NO PETER I HATE YOU!” You exclaim, half seriously, half laughing.“Wait, that also means you think I have a nice ass?”“Oh, get over yourself Peter.”
