#7 - Rainwing chapter

Ah yes, the Rainwings, a.k.a. "the ones where my friends will disown me if I get them wrong". I ended up making some changes here; particularly with Coconut, who is depicted as green in the graphic novels but described as lavender in the books. I tried to do something with elements from both. This had a bit of a knock-on effect on Siamang, because having two purples in the set seemed a bit lame for a group that's supposed to be really vibrant and colorful, so I went a bit off-script there. This is the result; I hope it is palatable.

Also, that makes 36. 36 dragons.

Practice sketches for Our beloved King Magnifico 👑💛

I've fallen for this cute king recently 🥰 💞 How he could be just like a disney princess when singing "This is the Thanks I Get!?" among the armour suits! And the way he plays with his staff just like a child having fun... He totally called my attention all along in the movie! These are some sketches I practice drawing him, one in the way I draw disney characters and the other in my realistic style! It was so hard to draw a cute, strong, bold, brave man! But I'm glad I did it~ There are still so many cuteness of King Magnifico in the film that I want to draw! And the fact that disney didn't get the story perfect also makes me have so many ideas for him now 😂 That's why I never get art block, there are just so many to work on for my original stories and for those my fav characters who would keep coming into my life-

And I couldn't help it- I had been brainwashed by the toothless dance meme when I was doing this practice sketch, I gotta get this idea drawn 😆 Btw that green dragon is the forbidden magic itself from the Book of Spells.

I want to draw more of him and Queen Amaya as well! I love this royal couple-a cute king and a tender queen, and the cute couple vibe between them so much 🩷 I'd also love to see how they would have been- an evil royal couple, maybe like a Team evil queen and the magic mirror? 👑🎭 That must be interesting to draw too!

Just so many ideas popped up in my head after I watched the movie. I have a feeling this year is going to be for King Magnifico too 🫶

Hey, I started reading Robin son of Batman because of your recommendation (I literally have a print of your post on my phone to not forget lol). Honestly? One of the best things I ever read!!!

Thank you for opening my eyes! Damian has been one of my favorite characters for over a year, but I didn't read/watch much of him because of school, life (and probably an executive dysfunction in the mix).

Maya is incredible. I loved her.

I haven't finished all the issues yet, but do you have any other recommendations?

One of my fav things from the first Eragon book:

When Eragon sees the Urgal footprint and tells Saphira to get Brom to safety and she just grabs Brom and presses him against her with her wings without telling him why and won't let him go before Eragon tells her to. That's just peak "Eragon and Saphira share one (1) braincell and she didn't have it at that time". Also I wanna know what went on in Broms head. One moment he's making a campfire, the next moment his son's dragon snatches him up and won't let him go.

Note

I really feel like there should be more straight, same-species relationships. Now, do I love all of them (Sundew x Willow be my fav), but most are all same-gender, or opposing tribes. It would just be a fresh change of pace to see regular ones more frequently. To top that off, to even see more dragons like Sunny who dont end up having a relationship at all. Not every dragon will find someone to love, and thats fine! I just feel like sometimes Tui is pushing in the LBGTQ relationships or just everyone must have someone to love at the end of their books

These are books I have read, with the occasional exception. I always state when I have not read a book I’m including in a post. May add to and edit posts when I read more relevant books.

I mostly include books I recommend, but to varying levels (and sometimes I'll include some I dislike but they might be worthwhile for someone else) There will of course be some of my personal bias to what I prefer (SFF, YA contemporary)

• Okay first of all, I don't think Neuvillette would tell you immediately in your early stage of your relationship that he is the hydro dragon, but of course he would tell you after a while when he thinks it's the right time to tell you, so you eventually find out about it.

• Once you know that the hydro dragon is actually Neuvillette, you got surprised at first and tried to process it but now that you think of it, it does rain when he's sad, you thought at first that maybe that was just a coincidence but apparently not.

• So whenever it rains in fontaine you immediately knew that Neuvillette is sad, so whether your outside doing stuff, you will go to his office because you knew for a fact that he's always there at the afternoon, well he feels tired and got affected after trials and you noticed it after being with him for a while.

• You will be there and comfort him and tell him sweet nothings and cuddle him.

• Now another thought of both of you holding hands while you both walk to your destination, and most of the people in fontaine always saw you both holding hands and can't help but look at you and neuvillette sweetly, everyone literally says that the both of you are the best couple in fontaine.

• You also visits Neuvillette in his office, but mostly you visit him at lunch break and you both eat lunch whether you bring food, go to picnic or have a reservation in a restaurant.

• You also visits him at his office at afternoon when your work finishes and spends some time there either reading some book or help him with his papers, when he's talking to someone and you happen to see Furina who is your close friend who loves dramas as well, you both would chat about stuff until Neuvillette finishes talking to someone at his office.

• And at times were Neuvillette are free you both hangout together with the melusines, you had gotten close with them even before you and Neuvillette got together and when they knew that you both is in a relationship they were all happy about it because they're two favorite humans (okay maybe not really about neuvillette but he's in human form soo) are together that all of them see you both as they're parents.

• At times that you are sad or stressed, Neuvillette will be there for you but if his currently busy he will try to make time for you but if he can't like his in a trial he will tell the melusine Liath to bring you the flowers he had picked and your favorite snacks with a letter from him, but most of the time Neuvillette is always besides you, he will hug you, comfort you, and cuddle you just like what you do for him whenever he's sad.

• He will actually give you flowers every week (but if you don't like flowers he will give you other gifts).

• Oh! Oh! OHHHH .... Okay okay, you both might as well go to the sea and go diving together as you both see some sea creatures and otters!! You also said to Neuvillette after going diving with him that he kinda resemble an otter despite being a hydro dragon, which he got confused but when you said that it's because of his hair now he kinda gets it.

• He also took a sea shell and pearls that's under the sea, a perfectly shaped one too, he also bought some chain for the necklace, and he started to make a sea shell necklace with one pearl on two sides for you and it's handmade by Neuvillette! Even though he can just buy some or order a custom one, he decided it will be more special if he makes it on his own!

• And he gave it to you as a gift at your Anniversary! And you gave him a otter plushie! It's basically a two otters holding each other, one is a blue and one is a (fav color), he said he will have the (fav color) otter because it represents you and you will have the blue one as it represents him, so whenever the both of you hug or see the otter plushie you both will remember one another. You also made him a handmade gift. (You can decide on what ever you want to give him).

• (A plushie may not actually exist in the original but please give me this one thing 😭😭 it exist to me alright)

• You both also go shopping together when there's no much work to do, like grocery and he will also buy stuff for you even though you told him that he don't have to, but he did anyways.

I do have some other IFs that I worked on in the past but I don't recommend playing them (I was still learning how to write at that time, so they aren't great). But if you want some IF reccs, I can recommend some IFs I've read recently.

(Sorry for the tags friends, and for the rants!)

(Released) My all time favourite is The Fernweh Saga by @lacunafiction - it's just genuinely so good and it always gives me the vibes of one of those shows you watch after dinner, that becomes part of your routine and you want to see desperately what happens after, and the characters become part of your memories, almost like people. It's just UGH such a good IF. If you like nostalgic hometown horrors, this IF is for you.

(Released) Very close favourite is Blood Moon by @barbwritesstuff - WEREWOLVES GUYS!! I've replayed this game so many times. It's one of those games that after you finish, no matter how long of a break you take from it, you always return to it. I love the "found family" of this game, even though it's not really found, it's just... family. I miss them! The romance in this story is also written so beautifully.

(Released) Another fav is The Golden Rose by @anathemafiction - it was one of my favs while it was still in WIP and after it's released I took so long to play it cause I never wanted to finish it. Like, I grew so attached to its story that I didn't want to let it go. 😭 Very well written characters and the descriptions of things, places, feelings, expressions, mannerisms, is so endearing and eye-catching, never a second where I skipped a line, I was CAUGHT. If you like a story with ominous beginnings, middles and ends, this is for you, not to mention the whole religion themes that are so interesting to dive into.

(Released) I miss this one so much but The Soul Stone War by @intimidatingpuffinstudios - there's two books out for this one already and each one is better than the previous. It's fantasy and about powers and there's a dragon lady that you can romance, and the POLY IN THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! Very soulmate-y romance and just generally captivating storytelling.

(Released) Nothing will ever hit the same as The Passenger by @the-passenger-if - there's just something so familiar, so memorable about this story. I don't think in my next lifetime I will ever forget it. It's about an eldritch horror battling with humanity and it's raw primal role as a monster. It feels short but only because you're so into it that time passes you by, but the tone and the flow of this story is very well done (as well as the characters! 🥰).

(WIP) I feel like everyone and their mothers know about Infamous by @infamous-if - but I'm going to talk about it anyways. It's a BAND IF, yes, music, yes, adrenaline, fame, and all the bad decisions that come with it. It's only one chapter out right now, but it's very worth it. I guarantee you the brainrot you will get from this game is going to consume your life.

(WIP) A somewhat popular one as well is Body Count by @bodycountgame - I haven't seen a game do the whole modern reality TV show with a tinge of horrifying brutal horror as well as Nell has, and even though it's still in its early stages, it's very well done and interesting. Lots of ROs to choose from, and genuinely funny humour to laugh about in between the crying sessions of a favourite character dying.

(WIP) Haven't heard that many people talking about this one to be fair but Chop Shop by @losergames - Also a very early stages game, but it's very adrenaline inducing and has so much potential that has me shaking in my seat. I'm already half in love with the cast and I can't wait to go need for speed and play a super chaotic individual.

Also any game by @hpowellsmith, they're amazing at creating consistent well written stories that have such great characters and even better representation. They do it so well, and I've been a fan of them for years now, definitely one of my role models!

I'm sure there are many more IFs out there that you NEED to play/read, but my mind is blank right now, and these are the only ones I could think of. I also don't have as much time to get into an IF, but I'm getting there (thinking of getting into Shepherds of Haven - which you should!)

Saying that daemon is impulsive and violent left me a little speechless since in the book aegon is the one who said his uncle and stepsister need to die, while daemon is the one claiming that firstly they must act with word. Daemon is the most calculated and strategic character during the dance. Thank to him kinglanding has fallen into the blacks hand and thank to him the biggest green dragon died (along with his rider, the one who is REALLY the most violent and impulsive person in all the dance) , he never make a move without having calculated everything, on the contrary it is precisely the Greens who are violent and impulsive. Aemond kill luke, aegon throw a feast, aegon wanting to go to Dragonstone alone, alicent word's after rhaenyra's take the throne (the thing about bastard, knowing damn well that rhaenyra could have throwing her frustration at Alicent's words against her or Haelena, torturing them). You really don't know what you're talking about, your words always describe the green more than the black.

girl the reason the council supported rhaenyra as heir was because daemon was violent and crazy. that's just a fact.

i said that i believe that rhaenyra's reign would be problematic, and having daemon as king consort is one of the reasons why, i mean, the guy chocked her - his queen - when she dared to disagree with him. and that was before the war even officially started. is he really the best candidate for king consort? would he really support rhaenyra even when he disagrees with her?

when did i say that i think that aegon & aemond would make good kings? the only thing i did say was that i don't think that the blacks are the better opinion.

and alicent's words to rhaenyra? you mean when she was trying to defend her children's lives? are you fr????? she was literally begging for her sons' lives and offered that they take the south and rhaenyra take the rest and make peace. i think it's you who don't know what you're talking about.
