I have never read the graphic novels but I stumbled upon this image and omg it's actually so sad.

He looks so sad and confused as to why any dragon would have a toy that is just for fun and to make them happy. What's even sadder is that he thinks it serves no purpose but he doesn't understand that the purpose is to make a dragonet happy and since he doesn't understand that he sees the toy as having no value. Tui and Milke Holmes why must you do this to me I can't I can literally see him reflecting on his own childhood and wondering why he never had something like this.

Wof dragons..

I don't like the idea of "wild" dragons in WoF. I want them to cook, read books, invent and wear cute suits with gloves. I don't want to look at slightly smarter animals again and again. I want to see not only the biological, but also the social in dragons, their culture, art and politics. I literally want to see humans in cooler dragon bodies.

My first commission:) - WoF

alright, so I made this for a school freind, and wanted to just get some feedback as well as see if anyone wants me to do their OC (I’m best at fantasy and WoF, but as always open to a challenge!)

I also just want to say that I used some random sites as reference for this peice of art because I was a little stuck at one point, but then I lost the links, so just in case anyone sees anything about it that you can relate to tutorials online or something, pls share (not trying to steal are from anywhere because I referenced it or anything)

The only app I used for it was Procreate, and honestly this is probably the best thing I’ve created so far! Watching speed paints on YouTube actually does pay off, yay! It took probably around five hours because I’m still getting used to using Procreate again and the lineart was being stupid. Now a little bit about the OC I drew: THIS IS NOT MY OC AND NEITHER IS IT YOURS!!! DO NOT STEAL!!! Her name is Orchard and she is a Seawing/Rainwing/Mudwing hybrid who is always getting in and out of trouble. My school freind has given her a lot of love, and she seems like a silly girl! Really enjoyed drawing her! Anyways, I just realized how late it is, and this post is loooooong (haha yay no sleep for me!) so pls give me feedback and reblog so that I can get more comms! My Thoughts on Ceril

Although currently one-sided (debatable) and currently obsessive (again, debatable) Clay and Peril are characters whose personalities bounce off of each other spectacularly. They balance each other in morality and actions, said interactions are entertaining and heart-felt, and thier banter and differing views of the world they live in is what makes them a good pair, romantic or otherwise.

Clay and Peril also provide a good support system for the other after a lifetime of a ab*se. Peril from Scarlet, Clay from the Guardians.

And the “Raging Ball of Fire” and the “Big Brother of The Friend Group” is a relationship dynamic that doesn’t appear to often in media.

But what do you think?

I've seen some people say how they don't like the way MudWing parents meet and raise (well, not raise) their dragonets. But I think it's fine...? It's just the way they do things. And I think it makes their tribe's culture a little more unique.

Also, these ARE animals. Advanced and intelligent animals, sure, but animals nonetheless. It makes sense that some tribes would still do things this way.

I don't like how some people paint this as a bad thing :/ Because all of the MudWings we've met have seemed pretty content with this system? (I guess Clay was a little upset at first, but he was familiar with active parental figures up until then and he became more understanding once he met his siblings.)

My only rp experience was me arguing with someone over my ocs name "not being a valid silkwing name" and then they realized after like two mins that it was a valid name and had an "oh shit oh fuck, I'm gonna be buried alive" moment

Sometimes i wonder if they ever remember that moment and cringe

Alexandra is a valid silkwing name, if you see a character with a human name look it up first before you start an argument because i will materialize into your house and steal your bedsheets

I find it really weird when people draw the dragons kissing like humans do lol. I don't think every person who's drawn that is a weirdo just to clarify it's just that it looks off considering their anatomy isn't made for that. It would be cool to see some other interpretations of how dragons would show affection to their loved ones that makes sense for their species and stuff idk ! I love seeing everyone's dragon behavior/biology headcanons they're always fun even though I don't know much about those things myself

y'know sometimes I see an ask here that's like "I HATE this character because they are bigoted and terrible!!" and it's one throw-away line about them vaguely implying that all dragons want love (enforcing amatonormativity and being aphobic). like I understand that microaggressions (whether it be homophobia, racism, and ableism) are still bad and something to criticize, but I think you guys get carried away. I think you guys are looking for things to nitpick and hate and that's kind of annoying ngl. like if we were to analyze every single character ever for problematic elements, we'd be here all day. each passing day I become increasingly convinced none of you can understand nuance
